I have booked the ticket on Oct 25th for 4 seats operated by Orange travels for travel date Nov-18. The tickets were somehow got cancelled on Oct 26

Following are the issues:

The cancellation charges were 50% which is too much. Orange travel’s policy ( orangetravels.in) it should be 10% and it can not be 50%. Why is it different in redbus.in?

• Less than 1 hours from the station departure time:100 %
• Between 1 Hrs to 2 Hrs from the station departure time:30 %
• Between 2 Hrs to 3 Hrs from the station departure time:20 %
• Between 3 Hrs to 24 Hrs from the station departure time:10 %
• With in 24 hours from the station departure time:10 %
• Between 3 to 7 days before station departure time:10 %
• Between 7 to 30 days before station departure time:10 %

Not sure whom to take the issue with.

    MY FATHER IS SICK AND NEED TO TAKE HIM TO HOSPITAL AND MY PRESENCE IS REQUIRED. THEN I BOOKED A TICKET FROM MUMBAI TO HYDERABAD BY USING REDBUS ONLINE. MY AMOUNT HAVE BEEN DEBITED FROM MY ACCOUNT AND TICKET NOT DELIVERED. WHEN I APPROACHED THE CUSTOMER CARE TOOL FREE THEY SUGGESTED ME TO CONTACT[protected] THEN I DID THE SAME BUT THEY ARE NOT CO-OPERATIVE AND NOT IN A POSITION TO UNDERSTAND MY QUERIES AND FINALLY I EXPLAINED THEN THEY ARE SAYING I NEED TO RE BOOK THE TICKET. I ALREADY SPEND FEW AMOUNT HOW THEY CAN EXPECT ME TO MAKE ANOTHER PAYMENT. THIS IS TOTALLY UNFAIR. IF I DONT HAVE NAY MONEY HOW CAN I TRAVEL AND HOW CAN I ATTEND MY FATHER TREATMENT PURPOSE. NEED SOME QUICK RESOLUTIONS TO AVOID SUCH IDIOTIC THINGS.

      Third grade of buses in which no passener goes but online tickets can be sold even charged 57% more in bus fare because you have already paid the amount and it is the time of departure of the bus and you have no option in your hand except either leave the bus & fight against the Redbus.in or go your own way ?
      Today my wife had to go to Indore from Jaipur, she checked the status via Redbus.in where she saw that she could get the bus at 7:00 pm today and she saw the images of the bus shown inthe website which were very clean and seats were looking very comfortable like a new bus and finally she booked a ticket and she was given the bus no.as RJ3 0150 finally we got the bus at some pickup point on the way and for that we had to wait for 45 minutes from the scheduled time, as we entered the bus I saw that the bus was completely dumped with all 3rd grade of seats and sleepers with full dirt inside, all garbage here and there inside, a complete waste of money and it was not at all comfortable in any manner to any pssenger inside, it was a very old bus which we can say that it was an OLD TRUNCK.
      I have talked to my wife several times on her way just now and she is very sad and very very uncomfortable in the bus with very bad seats and sleepers, it is a very big cheating with the passengers who think that redbus services are reliable, even I contacted the telephone numbers and complaint that why you booked my ticket in such a worst bus when you have charged premium amount and he replied that the fare is Rs.350 per sleeper where redbus has charged Rs.550 from my wife, Redbus has cheated us by showing wrong pictures of the bus from outside and inside and charged extra amount which is not the correct fare and Redbus has earned a handsome commission on just 547 kms. Of journey.
      I advise all who uses internet services that be careful “ EVERYTHING WHICH GLITTERS IS NOT GOLD “ check yourself and don’t trust anything on net and specially on Redbus which is just an online commission agent .

        I booked ticket from Pune to Hyderabad on 09.10.2012. Departure time: 11.00 PM. I go there by 10.10pm, Found travel agent office closed and no response for phone.Called red bus, no proper response.Waited till 12.00 PM midnight and bus had not come. Checked with bus (Orange Tours & Travels) provider and informed bus was cancelled.Ticket No: TEB[protected].
        Made Several phone calls. My meeeting with my forigen delegates in our company was cancelled and i am in bad position.
        Worrest red bus communication and their support.
        How can i take legally action on Redbus.

          This red bus.com team will take wrong information from Travels & they are Maintaining wrong information in RED BUS site.

          I booked ticket up to Banglore last stop marathalli, but the travels bus is stoped in Banglore first stop.

          I have reserved a ticket from Chennai to Trichy on 11/Jan/2013 at perungalathur Redbus booking point. I had a very very worst experience with the service. The Redbus agent(Name Mr.kalaimani) booked me the ticket on RAJ travels. On the day I was waiting at perungalathur bus stand and called the RAJ travels, but they never picked my phone and left out without picked or informed me . I complained to Redbus office at 11.45 pm, but they never respond to me and finally gave a me mobile number. I contacted the new person (His name is Mr.Sankar, I don't know his designation). He was also not responded properly.

          At last they were asking me to come next day(12 jan 2013) day morning to get refund. But when I went to there, the office was closed. I was waiting 2 hours and called them. Mr. Kalaimani picked the phone scrolled me and told that never refund the amount.

          At last never went to my native for pongal and lost RS 770.

          The timings mentioned on RED BUS are absolutely wrong mum
          I traveled by OMER travels and the timings on site stated pick up at 10:00 PM near Paradise Circle(Hyderabad) and drop at 11:00 AM Sion(Mumbai)
          But the bus arrived at 10:45 PM and crossed Pune 12:00 PM I am still in the bus waiting to reach Mumbai
          When I asked the staff about the daily he frankly stated that the bus never reaches Mumbai at 11:00 AM this is just stated in the website
          As a customer I feel cheated by this type of wrong publication of information
          P.S : I have read the T&C of RedBus
          Is it not responsibility of RedBus to inform people of the actual facts and not just post the timing stated by the travel agent

            I had booked volvo multi-axle semi sleeper bus to travel from Hyderabad to Goa through Red bus. But the bus we all are put on is a normal seater bus which is not the correct bus as shown on the site. I want to file for a refund and request you to take action against them so that they dont keep doing such fraud with travellers specially at the time of demand during holidays.

            I had similar cheating experience with Akbar Travels while travelling from Hyderabad to Shirdi. Never travel by Akbar travels. They book you on Volvo bus and chnage the bus last minute to ordinary bus. Better prefer SVR, Kesineni or Sri Kaleshwari. Avoid Akar Travels.

              Sir, I have booked ticket from Pune to Bangalore on August 13th 2012 through Redbus - Sharma transports.
              My ticket number is TE9B89763765.
              My boarding point is Wakad Bridge, Pune.
              Scheduled Depature is 2.30PM from Wakad Bridge, Pune to Bangalore through Sharma Transports.
              Bus has crossed the boarding point without stopping at 3.05PM.

              Immediately I made calls to following numbers but there is no proper response from them.
              [protected] - Number on ticket - Made call @ 3.10PM - He has given Sagar number.
              [protected] - Sagar - He has given Nagaraj Sharma transports number.
              [protected] - Nagaraj, - He has given bus driver number
              [protected] - Driver - He said that he doesn't have any information about Wakad bridge boarding point and he has already left pune.
              How can bus driver doesn't have information about passengers.
              I have made calls to these numbers as well [protected], [protected].

              Finally i did call to [protected] - Redbus BPO - Swapnil.
              He promised me that he will call back to me with in 5minutes, but he hasn't called me till now.
              I have lost lot of time and money due to your irresponsible service.
              In response to my feedback, Redbus executive Avinash wrote to me as below...

              "Further to the verification done with the concerned service provider as well as with the other passenger,we came to be aware that the bus was well available to travel on that day from the same boarding point.Hence in this case we are sorry to state that we will not be able to process your request for the same".

              On 13th August, I am the only passenger waited more than 1hour at the boarding point and bus crossed infront of me without stopping.

              I Mental and Physical Harassment due to this worst service and responses.

              I have faith on you (Admin), please take respective action on those people.

                I have booked ticked by call on 10082012 by phone calling on[protected] on friday evening at 6: 35 pm for ticket to delhi to katra mr chandan talked to me and convinced me to go on ivr transaction and transfer my call to ivr after two attemp i was succed and transction was done i received message from bank that transction was done but ticket not confirmed chandan convinced me that i will receive message of booked ticked transcarion id74678722223070357078491 it was made on 6: 45 pm but i nor received ticket as i have to to katra at 09 pm so i went by myself when i called again at 8: 30 chandan told me money gona refund but it was not done it passed about a month. If it was not done m gona filed case in consumer court.

                    Boarding Point Change But No Proper Response when asked for

                    I have booked a ticket through RedBus and my travel date was 15th of June. When i went to the boarding point the shutter was closed and no one was there. When i called the Sharma transport which i booked in they asked me to get the details from redbus regarding the new boarding point. When i called redbus again they are giving the same sharma transport number which i called just before. Both of them din't confirm me the new boarding...

                    Last week we booked online bus-tickets through Red Bus, to travel to Nainital and it turned out to be our worst bus-trips to the hills. This is how the sequence of events unfolded -

                    1. Red Bus website directed us to a travel agent - Ms. Reeta Dhingra of Holiday India PL, F-14 Kalkaji, New Delhi - 110 019
                    2. Ms. Reeta insisted on receiving full advance payment (online, ICICI Bank) of Rs. 2,100 for three tickets on a 2x2 AC Bus
                    3. After making the payment, we received tickets (seat no. 27, 28, 29) for a bus run by City Heart Travels. Price mentioned on the ticket was Rs.1500!
                    4. We were told to report to Hina Travels office at Scindia House, CP at 9 PM. The Bus arrived at 10:30PM.
                    5. Inside the bus, when we checked with co-passengers it turned out that they had all paid only Rs. 550 per ticket.So Ms. Dhingra had charged us at least Rs.150 extra for each ticket!
                    6. There was chaos at the bus-stand because each seat had multiple bookings. Since our own seats were occupied we had to sit at the rear end of the bus.
                    7. The conductor said the problem would be resolved at Kashmiri Gate. At Kashmiri Gate we had more people being brought in for seats that had already been occupied. Angry scenes ensued.
                    8. Finally, the bus left Delhi at 12:00AM. The bus itself was in bad shape - dirty seats, jammed recliners...it even had extra passengers lying one the floor.

                    On being contacted, Ms. Dhingra claimed that the extra payment (not in receipt) of Rs.600 was for "service tax and processing charges".

                    The Red Bus Company, on the other hand, claimed that the agents were being "handled" separately from their Bangalore Office and that they had little control over them.

                      I purchased a Volvo A/C semi sleeper bus ticket online from redBus.in to travel from Bhadravathi to Bangalore(Travel date 26th May 23:50 PM, reporting time 23:40 PM). The website has showed that the tickets are available with "Cauvery travels" and the transaction went successfully(well, that's the quickest thing this website could do). On Saturday the 26th May 2012 after waiting for a long time in middle of the night with my 4 months old son and my Wife, who came to send me off. Finally around 1:00 AM I discovered that Cauvery travels stopped operating buses from Bhadravathi for the past 2 months.
                      The web site has sold a bogus ticket to me and the total experience was really embarrassing, annoying. During my wait i have called up Cavery travels several time and there was no one picking up the phone and redbus.in call centre ends by 11 PM only.Luckily Around 1 AM 27th May 2011 some one picked up the phone and told me that since 2 months they stopped operating buses from Bhadravathi . During this cruel waiting i also faced embarassing moments as people around the bus stand figured out that i'm new to this place and waiting for a non existing bus there were also situations where few of them were staring at me and my family intimidatingly. I had a very important business meeting the next day morning and i had to miss that as well be cause of some one else slackness.Finally, i figured some junk travels and paid extra money for a ticket and got back to Bangalore in the afternoon.

                      The next day my wife called up fraudulent Caveri travels and spoke to them at length about the crueality happened to us for which they rightly scolded her and told her that she should only be complaining this to redbus.in. Now, redbus.in customer care executives got the details from her and immediately they have delis ted the bogus travels from the website. They could not say anything other than sorry and they never bothered to give a call back or at least organize a refund.28th May 2012 i called up redbus.in to see their next steps and they promptly recognized the complaint my wife has raised and they asked me to write an email to [protected]@redbus.in as they could not do any thing and they will not let me speak to higher authorities in the organization also, there is no one good hear ted,committed authority in the organization to give a call back and address the grievance for ill fated consumers like me.

                      After all this i went through the website and figured out that after all redbus.in was founded by few of the smart minds who had difficulties buying a ticket some time in their early days and with a service attitude these people went on to create such a website to help people.However, the commercial aspect of this idea has reached great levels but not the commitment for the paid service.

                      How on earth could redbus.in list some travels which is not existing or operating and cheat the customers .In my case, i felt i got embarassed, cheated, fooled, lost a valuable business deal,annoyed, threatened and finally felt helpless. So i have decided to take my case and would like to make sure no one like me suffers again with these fraudulent companies. I will go any length to escalate this issue to the court of law and get the justice done for me.

                      I'm sure there are lot of money mongers in redbus.in but there could be someone with good customer service attitude might see this email before rebus.in cheats another customer.

                      Just to reiterate, more than economical damage the emotional damage caused was immeasurable. I had to wait with my 4 month old son and wife for hours to figure out that redbus.in is fradulent and even after complaining to the customer support none from redBus have contacted me to address the grievance.

                        I have booked ticket for[protected] from Delhi To Lucknow for my Sister who is travelling alone. The Ticket was book by name of Shalini Singh and ticket number was TE6S64562883. The Bus Operator name was Kalpana Travel. On receiving ticket they sent her into wrong bus. That Bus was going to Dehradun. She reach to Dehradun and she need to return back.

                        What I need to do in that case?

                          This is a complaint on Redbus for the pathetic travels that they choose.This is not the 1st time,i booked through Redbus,its actually because of the service and the quality of the transportation that makes me go back to Redbus time and again.however this time its very disappointing to tell they indeed have a pathetic quality checks.
                          I booked a ticket on may11th 2012 night from Chennai to bangalore.The next day,i had some very important work and hence i booked a late night bus so that i could attend to my work on 12th may 2012.The bus was from jeyam travels and was scheduled to leave koyambedu(chennai) at 11:30pm and recah Bangalore by 5:30 Am on 12th May 2012.Well,to say the least I am still surprised that i was able to reach bangalore with my pregnant wife who is in her 1st trimester.
                          These are the things that i want to bring to your notice.

                          1.On the ticket,they say that the travellers should call the numbers on the ticket for the boarding point queries,however whom should we contact if that number is not recahable ? or Switched off ?
                          2.The immediate thought is to call Redbus in this scenario.When i did,they were so busy and I wasnt able to get through to an executive at all.After calling 3-4 times,i had to give up hopes of talking to a human on the other side.
                          3.Finally i come to the Koyambedu station(chennai) to board the bus.Mind you,its at night and am with my wife.there is an indian oil petrol bunk there and they have all the buses come there,fill the fuel and then travel to their respective destinations.
                          4.i reached the venue around 11:00PM on 11th may 2012 and called the Travels number printed on the ticket to confirm that the bus is ready and the destination is near the petrol bunk.On calling,again there was no response,the response was either Switched off or Not reachable.
                          5.Well,i found that there is an office of jeyam travels in the basement of a building and the travellers for 10:00PM bus are still waiting there.Finally,i spoke to a person called Pughal there and he informed that one of the buses if broken down and hence the delay,however the buss that am supposed to board is already at the petrol bunk.
                          6.When we went to the petrol bunk,there was a dingy,stinky bus from SRM travels waiting for us which was full and there was no space to even climb.Mind you this is a bus from SRM travels and not from Jeyam travels.The seats were so pathetic and there was a stinky smell as if the bus was not cleaned since years.
                          7.Anyways,when i was about to climb to check,the so called "Cleaner" of the bus came up and said that there cannot be anymore people accomodated on this bus and that there will be another bus coming to pick us.
                          8.So,we were sent back to the travels office and he called up the person saying that there is no space and we should be put in the next bus.he told that the next bus will be coming around 12 midnight.And since it was already 11:30PM,there was not much i could do but wait.
                          9.Finally we were made to sit in the travels office assuring that we will be boarding the next bus to Bangalore whichever comes from jeyam travels.Finally the Bus arrived at 12:15 AM on 12th may 2012 and we were told to get on as this was the last bus to bangalore.
                          10.We had booked seats 1 and 2 owing to the fact that my wife is pregnant,however that seat was already occupied by a couple of hooligans disguised as humans and after some heated arguments,they offered us a seat on Seats 32 and 33 During which i informed the driver that my wife is pregnant and cannot sit on the seats offered and moreover,we had booked seats 1 and 2 and why should we leave that seats for someone else.After a long time and much arguments between me,driver and those 2 hooligans,they were told to sit in their seats and we were given the seats that we booked.By now the time was 1:10AM on 12th May 2012.
                          11.A look at the place to sit and you would never want to go back to booking buses from RedBus.
                          Anyways,after everything was done,we were leaving to Bangalore at 2:00AM on 12th May 2012.By this time there were none of the buses at this station.The drive did make up for the lost time by driving the bus like a Sukhoi Fighter plane.We were displaced around 5 times from our seats and i almost broke my nose when he hit the brakes once.is this the Way a responsible driver should driv the bus containing around 40 people ?
                          We did reach the border of Chenani and bangalore AKA Hosur at around 7AM well before the expected time courtesy the driver driving the bus like a maniac.After reaching hosur and just before the toll gate to cross the border,the bus suddenly stops and then the driver asks everyone to get down.Everyone puzzled about this sudden change of things,we,a couple of them asked the driver whats going on and why did he ask all o[censored]s to get off the bus.the reason was there was a puncture of one of the tyres.We waited patiently for the tyres to be changed however neither the driver nor the cleaner were doing anything to fix the issue.When we confronted again,the cleaner informed that the bus does not have a permit to cross the toll gate and they stopped as they were expecting another bus on the same route to come and pick us up.Mind you,its not confirmed yet,they were expecting that another bus would come to pick us up.After having an argument with them for some time,the driver called the travels and i dont know what transpired between them,finally we were told that there is another travels nearby and the jeyam travels has contacted this travels on the border and he will be sending a bus to pick us up and drop us at respective locations.Finally the bus arrived at 7:45AM and we were all picked up and we were then again asked to alight at madiwala bus stop.When asked,why,we were told that the travels had informed the driver of this bus to drop everyone at Madiwala only and he cannot go further.After having another few minutes of argument,we were told by the travels to alight and go to our destinations ourselves.
                          Almost at the start of every argument,i have tried to call Redbus to complain and they werent reachable at all.Even after coming back,i have tried to call them on monday to make sure they know the problems,however there has been no response.
                          After saying all this,i really want to have a refund of the money that we paid as i believe this was definitely not why i chose redbus over KSRTC and TNSRTC

OF RED BUS.IN[protected] AND MY TICKET AMOUNT IS -1400. BUT WHEN I BOOK MY TICKET FIRST TIME ..RED BUS PEOPLE SAYS THAT PAYMENT IS NOT CONFIRMEND SO I AGAIN BOOK MY TICKET THRUGH ONLINE ON RED BUS.IN COMPANY SITE .....AND TICKET WAS CONFIRMED BUT WHEN I GOT MY CREDIT CARD STATEMENT ..STATMENT SHOWS THAT PAYMENT TRANSFER TWO TIME - (1400 X 2 = 2800) TO REDBUS .IN BANGLORE ...AND NOW I M ASKING TO COMAPNY FOR REFUND MY AMOUNT THEY ARE DENIYING TO REFUND MY AMOUNT .

                              As I booked the ticket through redbus web portal to travel from Bangalore to Tirupati with the vandana travels as mentioned in the web site.
                              Later I got the call from unknown number told that the bus has been changed, you need to board on the same boarding point address @11:15PM on the journey date. I went to the boarding point address @ 11 PM, the bus didn't arrived and waited up to 12:30PM. Even I contacted to the vandana travels phone numbers which mentioned on the bus ticket(sent through the mail) but the person lifted and said that this is vandana tours and travels not vandana travels, contact to the red bus (he used unparliamentary dialogues). Also I contacted to the customer care of red bus on the journey date but the voice came that the customer care will not works after 11PM. I called to the next day and the customer care people not responded properly.
                              Till now, the red bus asking me different kind of questions and saying that we need confirmation of the deducted amount from your credit card in the JPG format.

                                Red bus charged me 800 rs for an AC bus from PUNE to SHEGAON and gave me ticket of DOLPHIN travels service whereas they sent another bus named TUSHAR Travels when asked about dolphin they said dolphin is not a bus its a name of travel company. They also did not responded clearly to my calls.
                                Even on any boarding points I didnt found any board of any travel company named DOLPHIN.

                                  With plans of returning home for Ugadhi, i had booked bus tickets for bangalore to chennai on Feb 28, 2012 for the journey on mar 22, 2012 through redbus.in . The operator - roadlink India quoted a price of 400Rs for a volvo bus ticket since it was a weekday.

                                  On mar 22, 2012 I was all set and started my journey from home to board the bus at madiwala scheduled for 11PM, on my way i received a msg(from redbus) in my mobile saying my ticket has been cancelled. Since i was half way to reach the operator i continued my journey towards the boarding point and i had met the concerned person, the person Mahesh representing roadlink india cooked up a story saying his problem and had cancelled the tickets 2 weeks prior. he highlighted that redbus did not intimate me though he had cancelled the booking 2 weeks prior.

                                  The roadlink india representative justified his stand and showed me his ticket booking list for mar 22 2012 where i find that my same seat No was given to some other person, who had booked through redbus.in and the booking was done on mar 15 2012 for Rs650.

                                  Frustrated with this incident of not returning home for Ugadhi as planned. i spoke to redbus.in call centre people who put me on hold for more than 15min and clarified that my ticket was cancelled because the scheduled bus had a mechanical problem and hence cancelled but in reality the bus is as scheduled and im in front of it .. !

                                  THE TRUTH :
                                  After repeated attempts of clarification with redbus.in team, i was able to talk to the GM of redbus.in. I was very confident on him from what he had spoken but he did not even answer my call nor did he return a reply msg after 2days.

                                  What had happened - Since i had booked the ticket for Rs400 weekday fare, the Ugadhi weekend rush had pushed the ticket fare to Rs650 & so the operator had cancelled my ticket.

                                  Redbus.in did not accept to cancel the ticket, even though they (operator) MIGHT have intimated about cancellation to redbus and so did not inform me..
                                  As operator refused the scheduled bus, redbus.in had to inform me of ticket cancelled due to mechanical problems.

                                  As a consumer i was fooled by what has happened, as i had planned for Ugadhi a month prior and had to see the blame game of the ticketing agent and the operator.
                                  If i had got the intimation at least few days in advance, i would have made some alternate arrangements for travel.

                                  I would blame redbus.in for what has been casued and the unethical & unprofessional way of disclosing the information to the consumer and although they have the advanced infrastructure did not have a proper customer grivience cell and for the sheer ignorance

                                  I request necessary action be taken against both the operator Roadlink India and the travel agent Redbus.in .....

                                    I am genuinely a well wisher of your company and have been able to use your service a couple of times.
                                    It is very good in all the aspects but am sorry to say, The refund process is not up to the mark. In spite of several reminders and phone calls, the support team approach is unprofessional. I had a very bad experience. Have still not got my refund. You guys need to check and work seriously on this segment. Even the government department refunds do not take so much of time.
                                    All I have got from your support team is unacceptable excuses. Honestly the support team is only supporting your company and not customers. This experience have left a bitter taste and I would definitely not want to travel again through you.
