Hi
I cancelled a ticket from Chennai to Bangalore, got a mail from redbus that amount would be refunded after withholding some part of the money, but refund is not done after one week. Their helpdesk number on the website is a bogus toll free number that doesnt work.
Couple of days after i cancelled the ticket i was booking another ticket(I still hadn't realized they are a fraud company) when I got the message that money was deducted but ticket wasn't booked????? What sort of an error was this... a transaction either comes through or not..how can half of it go through???? Once again no refund done.
These are high- tech crooks who are making a quick buck. Beware!!

    Hello,
    I booked 2 tickets through RedBus from Pondicherry to Bangalore for 10th April-11 (10:30 pm departure) and the bus was cancelled at last minute by the travel company and authority at travel company office told that money will refunded directly in our bank account (As ticket was booked online ) .

    After calling many times and sending mails to the travel company got the reply that responsibility is of RedBus to refund the money . First mail was sent to RedBus on 26th Apr-11 and so far I have sent 5 mails and called more than 5-6 times but yet to get the money for tickets refunded .

    Redbus / — REFUND OF MONEY AGAINST BUS CANCELLATION

    I booked 02 tickets to bangalore and back. The journey dates are[protected] &[protected] through Red bus for Sri Venkateswara Travels with ticket number (TCDQ[protected]. But the return journey bus was cancelled and the same is intimated by Sri Venkateswara Travels through SMS and the amount of Rs.700/- will be refunded to your account. But to till date there is no response from either Sri Venkateswara Travels or Red Bus.

    Please do the needful in this regard and see that i can get the money as early as possible

      To whom it may concern,

      This communication is with reference to the refund of my money due to the horrible experience I had with Diwakar Travels and Redbus.

      Ticket # TD6Q46749437, Pune to Hyderabad

      I have booked the bus from Pune to Hyderabad for the date May 25th, 2011 yesterday evening. The reporting time mentioned on both the e-ticket and Redbus website was 8:05 PM. Also, the departure time mentioned was 8:20 PM from Chinchwad which was my boarding point. I happened to call the Diwakar Travels bus-driver regarding the confirmation. The driver was very rude and unhelpful. He informed that the bus will leave Pune at 7:00 PM which came as a shock to me. As per my schedule and the travel information given on the Redbus website, I opted for Diwakar Travels since they were leaving Pune at 8:20 PM. Now suddenly, the driver states that he is leaving not 5 or 10 minutes early but almost 1 hour 30 minutes early. I requested the driver to wait for me and also informed about the bus timing mentioned on the e-ticket. The driver rudely said that he is not bothered about all this and about Redbus. He said that if I have to catch the bus then I must be there by 7:00 PM and disconnected the call. Now, boarding the bus at 7:00 PM was impractical for me since I was at Hinjewadi in my office and I had to first go to Rahatani near Pimple Saudagar to pick up my luggage and then leave for the boarding point which was Chinchwad. I then called Redbus customer service and again got a horrible response. 3 representatives disconnected the call, 1 almost joked about my situation and hung-up on me. After explaining the issue 3 times to other 3 different representatives, I was told that my call is landed to Chennai and have to call Pune office for the concern. One of them even gave me an alternative Pune number ([protected]) and that also turned out to be out of service. After my repetitive attempts, 1 representative from Bangalore promised me a callback. I later received a call from Swapnil Bhokre who is with your Pune branch and he made attempts of helping me. But even his attempts failed. I spent additional 70 rupees to reach Chinchwad and realized that the bus driver has moved the bus just 5 minutes before even though Swapnil and I were directly co-coordinating with the bus driver and he knew that I was almost there. After the bus was missed, Swapnil Bhokre informed me that he has spoken to the bus driver and that I have to go to Jahangir Hospital. After conversations with both Swapnil Bhokre and the bus driver, I was informed that I have to be there with-in 30 minutes and reaching to Jahangir Hospital meant spending another 350 rupees from my pocket but I was ready for that too. But when I spoke to the auto-drivers, they said that the auto-fare would be 350 rupees but they won't be able to reach the place (Jahangir Hospital) with-in 30 minutes since the place is in the main city and traffic is high. I even made the auto-driver spoke to Swapnil Bhokre and later to the driver but the driver was very rude and told that he will not wait for more than 30 minutes and will move the bus if I don't reach on the specified time.

      Now, I had already invested 70 rupees to reach Chinchwad at the time which was an hour early from the actual reporting time and even though the driver knew about my situation, he still moved the bus. So what was the guarantee that the driver will not move the bus again if I spent another 350 rupees and 45 minutes in traveling to Jahangir Hospital.

      Although, Swapnil Bhokre helped me a lot and was constantly communicating with me and the driver, things didn't turned out in my favor and as expected the bus moved with-out picking me.

      Interestingly, Redbus representatives told me that Diwakar travels are very bad and don't listen to Redbus. Then why the hell are they there on the Redbus website. It was clearly mentioned on the Redbus website and e-ticket that the reporting time for me at Chinchwad was 8:05 PM and boarding time was 8:20 PM. Now, if there was any change in time then Rebus and Diwakar Travels should have intimated about that early. It so happened that I called Diwakar travels bus-driver and was told that bus is actually leaving Pune at 7:00 PM otherwise there was no intimation by either Redbus or Diwakar Travels.

      Now, was this some kind of joke. Because if it was then I had no laugh on it and I want my money back. Also, let me tell you that I am serious about this issue and will file a legal complaint on this for sure if nothing happens. And don't you guys overlook my statement. I will approach authorities for this mental harassment that was given to me by both Diwakar Travels and Redbus.

      Reimburse my full money 1150 rupees and I am done with Redbus. I never had such a bad experience with Redbus earlier. I don't know and neither do I care about the equation Redbus shares with Diwakar Travels. All I know is that I wanted to go to Hyderabad from Pune so I went to Redbus website and booked the ticket. Now, if the bus left much early than the specified time, then that is not my problem. This should have been intimated to me before hand by Redbus and it was your responsibility to do so. Give me complete money back. Except the money, I spent 70 rupees in the auto which went in vain along with many calls to Redbus, Diwakar Travels and the bus driver.         As discussed with your executive, I desire to cancel the booking done from Pune to Bangalore & Bangalore to Pune. I had recieved call from the travels (Natraj-sharma) on 22nd and they confirmed that the bus from Pune to Bangalore on 26-3-11 is having some problem and is under maintenance for 15-20 days. After several request also they denied to give any confirmaation of the date. Due to this I had to cancel all my hotel reservation done in Bangalore and also postpone my trip. So I request to pl refund all my money back and also cancel the return ticket.
        Pl find attached below the ticket details. Pl do the needful at the earliest.

        I had mailed to redbus regarding my cancellation of tickets TD4D97283484, TD4D34355524 on 03/23/2011 19:30. Later on I recieved mail from Redbus on 03/26/2011 05:12 PM (The date on which the travel is scheduled) that the tickets are not cancelled. I feel that there was a clear communication from my side that I have to cancell the tickets and there should have been a reply back from redbus before the scheduled date of journey regarding their non accepetance. Also as the reason for cancellation is clearly mentioned in the trailing mail, I strongly feel that there is some problem in understanding of redbus and I immediately want my amount refunded to me with interest charges for the delay.

          I have booked ticket with RebBus from Ernakulam to Bangalore on May 8th.
          When the bus came in, bus operator told that the same seats were booked by somebody else and there are no seats available. The seats that I have booked had been booked by somebody else as a double booking.
          And I was not allowed to travel. I called up RedBus customer care and got a response that my seats were confirmed. But when I explained the situation, I was told that he will call me back and there was no action item on that. I returned back Bangalore and submitted a complaint in RedBus and sent emails to RedBus Support. There were no response or no action item on this complaint.

            I have booked the 3 tickets on 21st april through online but first time transaction failed but amount deducted from my account.Second time i get the tickets and again amount(2970) deducted from my account.I have send a mail to redbus support with screenshots of stmt.They given reply like with in 4 working days you will get back your amount to your a/c. but still no amount is credited to my a/c from redbus and they are stopped to give replies to my mails.

            I have booked one tickets on 07th May through online but first time transaction failed but amount deducted from my account.Second time i get the tickets and again amount(1000) deducted from my account.I was booking a ticket from Hyderabad to Mumbai at the same time the amount of Rs 1000 sad deducted and it was showing transuction failed and the moned was deducted from my account.
            for the second attempt i have got the ticket and again the same amount of Rs 1000 was deducted.Till date i have not received this amount to my debit card account.
            Please send the amount back to my account.

              Sir,

              I tried to book ticket from Vijayawada to bangalore, i got message like , my amount has deducted from account and i didnt get my ticket for that, later i tried for another time, same thing happened.so, rupee 888/-has been deducted twice, but i didnt receive my ticket. I had been requesting these REDBUS customer care support people for last 16 days to revert back my amount, still it was not happened.Almost i spend rupees 150/- extra in making calls for the customer care people, but it was vein.

              So please help me inthis issue to get back my amount, and take necessay actions on REDBUS to get back customers deduct amount less than 3 days like how www.irctc.co.in is providing.

              I tried to book ticket from Chennai to Rajamundry, i got message like, my amount has deducted from account and i didnt get my ticket for that, , rupee 1200/-has been deducted, but i didnt receive my ticket. I had been requesting these REDBUS customer care support people for last 16 days to revert back my amount, still it was not happened.               Ticket not booked but money debited from account

              I booked ticket from redbus app from bangalore to hubli, money is debited from my account but at atlst it came can't book your ticket error it came.

              Didnt refund my money back

              It was on may19th that I booked my ticket for vellore to Bangalore and got my ticket canceled because of wrong date display in site and still I didn't get my refund back after 1 month

                BEWARE OF REDBUS. IN i gave a request for ticket from chennai to kumbakonam on 09.05.2011 travel date was 12.05.2011 and i got an id no stating that the company will call shortly and confirm my booking at delivery me the ticket on cash on delivery basis. but till 11.05.2011 i didnt get the call nor the ticket hence i called up redbus in, for which they stated that it was only a request. atlast i was not booked a ticket for the travel date i had to under go lot of inconvience due to this. i intend to make a complaint with competition commission and nasscom about this mis representation of online advertisements.

                  I was booking an online ticket with redbus for on 19 April for my journey from Hyderabad to Pune.
                  My ticket was not booked and the screen displayed that amount Rs 950 is charged and will be refunded by 26 April.

                  My bank account also says that twice amount Rs 950 is charged.

                  Till now no amount is refunded and I have mailed these guys many times. Redbus even dont respond to call I make.

                  Online Reservation through RED BUS — Money got deducted twice.

                  I booked ticket online through redbus, I did reservation for 1 ticket n i got 1 ticket only but from my account they deducted money twice.
                  after complaining, they said to provide transaction number, i gave dat, den dey ask for bank statement, as m in bangalore n my bank is in pune i cant go der for collecting bank statement, I dont have ebanking facility for that acc also, so i manage to gv transaction number also i sent dem scaned copy of mini statenet . but still they are giving me some or another foolish reason n asking for bank statenet . i have all email communication.
                  what to do?

                  Red Bus — Non Refund of Money

                  Dear Sir/Madam,

                  I am ramesh from chennai. I was booked one ticket from chennai to madurai on 12 th jan 2010 (ticket booked date 7 th jan 2010) through redbus.in site. but i was cancelled the ticket on 9th jan 2010 but still now i have not received my cash from redbus. so many times i was asked to redbus those people tells we will give cancellation reference number you will use this within 3 month. Hence i asked i will not travel for next 3 month because i will plan to go bihar for my job works. but they will tells this is not our problem. so plese refund my money at the earliest to my credit card account.
                  same happened to me twice in a same week.after payment is made but ticket not issued and promised me to refund the money.I have not get the money refunded even after 60 days.They told me that they cannot track the incident . So i provided the screenshot of the messages, bank statements showing the transaction is made, and the reference number.After that no reply from Redbus yet.
                  I booked on ticket to travel from Mumbai to Bangalore in HKB travels through redbus on 18th April 2011 to travel on 29th April 2011. On my first trial of booking the above ticket, after selecting the seats, and giving all details for the payment gateway, I received an SMS that money has been deducted (from the credit card bankers). However the ticket eas not booked. I immediately called up the redbus call center. I spoke with the person from Pune, and he enquired about the transaction and informed me that no money has been transferred to redbus and also that ticket wasn't booked and hence advised me to boot again. This time It was successful.

                  However on receiving the credit card statement, we are finding that bus ticket amount has been twice recorded. Effectively, we have pay for double. We immediately contacted redbus, who asked us to send a mail to [protected]@redbus. After that we have made make calls to red bus. Every time we land into an agent fro Pune/Ahmedabad/Mumbai/Bangalore to whom we need to explain all over again. Inspite of all these efforts, even after so many days we still have not got the money back.
                  I have booked tickets for departure from chennai to nagercoil via redbus...Due to some technical fault ,i got a message that my bank amount is debited 1220 INR,but could not issue the tickets and so money will be refunded at the latest of 24 th of april....But still i din't get any refund of money ...my reference number is 843465..please check the same issue..

                    BUT AT THE SAME TIME I HAD BOOKED THE RETURN TICKET ALSO... FROM GUNTUR TO BANGALORE...                       Iam Dinesh Pandian , i booked tickets in redbus.in on 27/4/2011, from chennai to bangalore amount is 1350+1350(twice) , the ticket booking was not successful for the first two times and only third time my ticket got booked.

                      The failed transaction details are attached and i have sent the screen shot also as attachment.

                      And i have made the complaint the same day to Redbus , i got the reply as 10156796.-- reference number,

                      But till now i havent got any feedback from redbus support team

                        I had a harrowing experience with RedBus for the 2nd time. This time I had booked 8 tickets from Belgaum to Bangalore. However, I got a call 3 days before the travel-date that the bus was cancelled and I should ask Redbus for refund. So I call up Redbus and they assure the refund would be processed in 3-4 days. So I rebook on another bus and all goes well. Now, after a week I call up redbus again, and they say that they do not have any idea about any bus cancellation and that I should have called up earlier. I explain the whole story to them again, and all I get is an assurance that they would check and call back, which of course never happens. So, this happens for at least 4 times more. I then called up the bus-operator who was a little understanding and says that he would contact redbus. Now it has been over 2 weeks and I have called at least 15 times and sent a mail 10 times regarding this, but it seems redbus has no system to handle bus cancellations. Seriously, I doubt how the company is still operation. My advice to all is to avoid using Redbus and try booking directly with travel operators instead. I know I will somehow get my Rs.6500, but I'm not using redbus again thats for sure

                          Dear Prema,

                          This is a common phenomena in occasional circumstances. You must create screen shots of your redbus message and your online statement of net banking or card screen shot which shows the deduction. Submit both to your bank from where amount deducted and to website where u have tried for a transaction.
                          Then refund procedure accelerates and you will having more chances of reversal.

Even I called them and kept so many mails regarding this issue they are simply saying that the amount transaction was done. Even I checked with bank pupil but this was not done. Already lot many working days were gone.

                            Sir, my concern is that they are giving wrong information which is baseless and keeping me mentally tension to check my account daily and keep on writing mails to them. Sir pl do justice in getting my money back.

                            Even if i didn't my money back also no problem but really i want to sue them to make me felt so unhappy and disturbed.

                            It is the same case with me.
                            Initially i was excited about these guys after reading the story about them on rediff.
                            Only to realise it is very difficult to provide good customer service.
                            something wrong with this company.
                            Possibly they are bankrupt (sorry i dont mean to badmouth).
                            These guys grown by word of mouth advertisement, which is going to bring them down soon if they dont wake up.

                            I have cancelled my two-way ticket TD4J38924466 on Apr15.
                            Still waiting for refund without hope.

                            But my problem is that still i have not received that refund amount in my bank account and in received cancellation mail you mention that i will return that amount within 7 days( For your reference i am forwarding your mail with this mail).

                            Why are you not refunding my cancellation amount tell me that reason. and my request to you please refund my money for good customer relationship. please give me response as soon as possible.

                              i had booked my ticket at about 7.00 pm on 4th may 2011. I even received an sms for the same with reference no as 5406569 and ticket money was deducted from my account(RS 550). however i did not receieve the printout for the ticket with an Error message “cannot take printout”.
                              Now after contacting your Pune and Nagpur officials for the ticket, I’m being told that my ticket was not booked. also the officials are neither helping to solve this problem nor co-operating in any other way.

                              Same case happened with me. I had booked and paid for a ticket on 19th April, 2011 and my money was deducted from my bank. After 21 emails and 5-6 calls with their customer service, I finally got my money back today (1st August 2011)!!!

                              Please mentione [protected]@redbus.in and Shaik.[protected]@redbus.inin each of the emaill you write to redbus customer care.

                                I have booked a ticket from dindugal to chennai for Rs 600/- in redbus.in. on Saturday, April 09, 2011 . Ticket number:TD[protected]. I cancelled the ticket on the same day . But they deducted 15% and I have been told that it will be credited within 2-3 working days. After 3 days i called red bus customer care. But they didnt gave me a proper response. From april 13, i m keep on called them. either they wont pick up the call or they will put me in hold for more than 25 mins. I have been very patient till this time. Now i have booked a complaint not even for the money. But the irresponse behavior of the travel agent.

                                  I booked 3 bus ticket from KANPUR to DELHI using redbus online website www.redbus.in on 30th MAY 2015 (TICKET ENCLOSE). BUT after booking of ticket just before 2 or 3 hours of departure I called for the confirmation of the bus( time and departure) on the given number [protected] which was provided by redbus. The person who picked up the phone told me that your bus had a breakdown that is why it has been cancelled so your ticket amount will be refunded within 7 days. I didn&#039;t get my money till now. I called redbus customer care number ([protected]) 4-5 times. They are not taking my complaint seriously. one time they gave me service request number[protected] on 9th JUNE 2015 but after that they didn&#039;t send me any e-mail or phone or SMS. Instead of helping me redbus is saying that I took their bus. Its been more then 15 days and I&#039;ve got my refund. please help us.

                                    when i was booking the ticket on 18.01.2011 from chennai to tiruchendur(Jeppiar Travels) .At the end of transaction , i didnt get any response and the page has been going on loading .. the concerned seat has been blocked but i didnt get the ticket .Then I called REDBUS customer care ,they said that the seat has been blocked ,not yet booked and said that they would release in half an hour and asked me to book again.
                                    Finally i waited for half an hour and booked the same seat and travelled .. The thing is i got debited for two seats ..till now i didnt get the refund... i request you to refund the price of one ticket(RS 590) as soon as possible.. Regards,

                                    i've booked the ticket on 11th feb for feb 13th journey of Rs.400, but they debited Rs.1200 from my account.Their customer service is not satisfied please do request for my issue and i've already submitted my bank statement to their support team but no response still in sharma travels through redbus online booking.i'm going to complaint regarding this problem to consumer court after a day.Thankyou.

                                    You are all making fool of the customers. You never seemed to be bothered about the treatment to your customers. There is no feed back once the tickets are booked and care a bit once you take the money. I had an unpleasant experience with the way your system works. I had booked 2 tickets for me & my wife from Chennai for the up (29.02.2016) & down (01.03.2016) travel from your site believing that I could reach home the next day but when i reached the opposite direction destination of Virudhunagar on the same day i got a message saying that the said return bus to Chennai had been cancelled.Is this how you treat a customer, not even giving me an option of any other alternative bus service.I was really worried because I had to be in Chennai by the next day(as I had left my kids and father alone) but some how i was able board a train and reach Chennai. Apart from bad service you had also not refunded the said amount even after 10 days for cancellation. Now I had to wait for the refund...

                                    I cancelled two tickets a month back but haven't received the refund amount yet.
                                    Redbus is not at all considering such requests resulting in loss of money.
                                    Hereafter, I won't book tickets in redbus.
                                    I recently cancelled the ticket from Hyderabad to Pune.price I will get after cutting cancellation charges 1098.please make sure to be deposit in account.ticket number : TJ8D25395282.
                                    Through Redbus, I had booked ticket from Pune to Indore for[protected] with Rajratan Tours. I received message that bus got cancelled due to low no of passengers. They give me booking for very next day but again it got cancelled and this time even didn't send sms. Rajratan just called and settled on phone call.

                                    I raised concern with Redbus (Tkt #1843514) for the same. But Redbus helpline people asked me to send details through mail and then didn't respond.

                                    I again called helpline and sent them mail with all the required details. Still no reply received from them.

                                    Big time frustrated with such a weird behavior. Please help me with correct contact person.

                                        i have booked tickets for Ajmer.The pick up point was from IFFCO Chowk,Vikas Travels (GGN). redBus ticket TD2G23274349,PNR[protected].
                                        The reporting time was 10:00PM however we reached boarding point at 9:30PM but bus did not stopped at IFFCO Chowk. we have tried to get in touch of REDBUS customer care but they were also not able to help us. The total money wastage. we have tried to contact RedbUS customer care and Shri Vikas Travels (P) Ltd over call. they all misguided us and the total money was wastage. i wait there till 11PM and tried to get in touch with customer care. they provided me wrong information again and again.
                                        However the REDBUS has rated the survice very poor although they should not hae mentioned the pick up point IFFCO chowk. its their fault. request you to kindly look into this and get my money refunded.
