Wrong information an[censored]njustified charges on SCB card No.[protected]
I have SCB credit card No.[protected].I had make all payments after discussion with Collection deptt. SCB, ITO Office which are pending at .This is really harassment to the customer by sending payment reminder mails and calls after making payments cleared.
I discussed matter with SCB Collection Executive Mr.Murari[protected] regarding my issue, he checked and told me that your account is nil and you need not worry to pay any amount.
When I have complainted to your customer care team 3-4 times regarding the same problem.Everytimes they said, "Sorry for inconvenience, we are able to give you update for the same.your complaint has already forwarded to concerned team, they are working on it".
In my last call to customer care, They said we will give you a ring after taking updates from the team.
Pls tell me why this customer care is for???
They suppose to help help or to harass the customer ...???
When I have mentioned Executive name.Why they are not discussed the matter with him????
This is really to much, when after clearing all the account, calls and mails are received then what are the solution provided by SCB to the cusotmer.
Pls take this issue to consumer court for the same, Otherwise these banks will really make money by levied fianace charges and late fees to people.

Standard Chartered Bank — Undue charges
I was holding Stanchart Credit card during[protected]. In the end, my monthly statement showed some internet transaction of about Rs. 2200/- which I had not incurred. I communicated this to the bank and requested them to reverse the debit as it was wrongly debited to my credit card account.Thereafter bank neither reversed the debit nor provided any kind of explanation for the charged debited to my account. Frustrated, I requested closure of my credit card account and refused to pay the wrongly debited amount.
Nine years down the line, I approached, State Bank Of India for Home loan. SBI checked my credit report with CIBIL. (Third Party agency that provided credit report of individuals). My credit report showed unsettled amount of about Rs. 39, 000 against above mentioned transaction. I was told that unless I settle this account Stanchart will not clear my name from the CIBIL report.
On approaching Stanchart over, mail, toll free number, We mail I was further informed to pay over 42, 000 for getting NOC.
Since I had already committed for purchase of flat, I had no option but to pay this unjustified amount and get NOC from Stanchart.
This episode gives feeling to consumers that you will have to pay everything demanded by bank evenif the transaction is not made by you. If you refuse to pay, they will spoil your credit report and would make all loans impossible for you.
I have sent mail to Omsbudman of Reserve Bank of India but have not received any response so far from them.
May I request proper advice from other consumers in this regards?
