Dear Sirs,
I would like to inform you that I have a prepaid connection with Tata Indicom vide Mob no.:[protected]. Yesterday i.e. 08.09.10 at 6.19 pm I have received from the service provider reading as under” Dear Subscriber, you have been charged Rs. 30/- and VOICECHATPACK subscription is activated successfully on your mobile number for 30 days”.

When contacted their Customer care both yesterday and today, their attending personnel someone (Mr. Debdutta & Mr. Subrata) conveyed me that this has only been done on my request. I sincerely state I have never indulged this. Further they are not ready to give the call list statement. In view of this development, I apprehend they may practice more tricked in future also. I approach your good office for redressal please.

    Dear sir

    I have been receiving loose calls ( un solicited calls) from various marketing agencies & individuals which is uncalled for. The pity is I am getting calls daily from your own Tata Indicom several times . I have also taken up the matter with your customer care for which they have assured me that they will block all the unsolicited calls within 45 days, Today I have followed up the matter with your customer care once again & they have informed again that all the calls will be blocked with in 45 days. In turn I have requested them to atleast block Tata Indicom/ marketing services which they have refused and I have not received any proper response. This is hihgly unethical. Why Your organisation should not advise your own co- dept not to call & disturb. Yours is hihgly reputed organisation & brand & your marketing dept calling your customer without their interest is not correct. Your customer care executive also taking ( last 2 calls) almost 20- 30 mintues to answer my calls. This is hihgly disturbing. Can anyone in your organisation hear your customers plea & do the needful. We are wasting lot of time in attending these calls & may be we are loosing money aswell which we donot know. Time is preceious for us. we are not allowed to attend the calls unless otherwise important.

    TATA Indicom — activation of unrequested service

    hello sir

    i am using services of tataindicom for last 3 years or so and my number is [protected]
    but on 30th march 2010 they stared welcome tune service to my number without my request
    and now when i am registering a complaint to them they say nothing can be done now if you dont want to continue with the service just send a message
    but they are not doing anything to why did they start the service without my request and also deducted some balance from my account
    hoping for a favourable response

    I am prepaid customer of Tata indicom mobile no [protected].Today(18.10. 2010). I am not satisfied with your service customer care. Without my request or any conformation Movie-masala, Cricket & Share market information activated & more than Rs 200 deducted in two months my recent balance was nil. Immediately I contacted prepaid mobile customer care but you’re this service is so bad.The customer care no was not activated. I was talking to Mr. kapil at 66558101 in your tata indicom office regarding of de activate my all these activation & check how all these movie masala, cricket & share – market services activated without my permission.Mr Kapil assure me to solve my problem & I am sending him my alternative no [protected].I was talking him 3 time But he was in dought.

    I have a tata prepaid no[protected], in which a service is start automatically named Movie-masala, Cricket & Share market ' and thy deduct also money for it many times, and i also complain against it but the customer care executive are not solving my problem.

    Please solve my problem other wise I will take an Legal Action.

      i want say that i am a regular customer of tata indicom mobile service. i have lost my cell phone last month. but now when i want to buy a duplicate sim i am regular going to karnal daily which is 25 km away from my town. iall the tata telly shppers refused to do so they said that we didn't ave any duplicate sim right now we can provide you next week but every week they said these words. i am in so muc tention please take a early action .

      Dear Sir
      I am tata indicom customer my sim has been blocked ( mo. no [protected]).
      I visit three -four distributers at Roorkee For duplicate sim . But THEY DEMAND 300 Rs .
      this is not right amount for dup. sim .
      Pls tell me how i can get my sim on right money.
      I wii complain in consumer forn if you will not reply to me or not give me proper track to ound sim.

      tata indicom is failed to provide better service, so now it is better to change service provided wia m.t.p, because the staff of tata teleservises is very bad, they missguide and false commitment to costumers.

        Dear Sir,
        I was using your modem for the past 3 years. On 2nd of September, the modem was not working, I used my mobile sim ([protected]) in the modem to check up for 10 minutes only. but you have charged arround Rs.749/- for the internet charge and put me in trouble by blocking all my outgoing calls.I lodged the complanits with your customer care people at F.C.Road But they said you have used modem for 5 Hours on the specific day.I want to contact your Manager ,but they said he is out of station. the ladies sitting in the office do not know how to behave.they said after your recharge of Rs.225/ on that particular day,your balance will be Rs. 509 in negative balance . please pay and activate it.In America also they will not charge Rs. 750/= for 5 hours. Since i was using all telephones from tata with the belief that only one company never cheat me.But you also already in the list of Fraud and looting customers company. Kindly activate my out going calls as early as possibe. Because this is your mistake you have to bear this cost

          the calls are very disturbing and weird. the caller makes unwanted calls throughout the day since past 10 days. the caller uses abusive language and hangs the phone.

            RESPECTED SIR/ MADAM

            I PURCHASED A CDMA SIM CARD([protected]) OF TATA INDICOM FROM A VENDOR IN DHULLAPALLY ON[protected] SATURDAY. I TOLD THE VENDOR TO PROVIDE ME FREE STD FACILITY ON TATA INDICOM MONTHLY BASIS WHICH CHARGES A VOUCHER RS599. THE VENDOR ALSO ASKED TO MAKE A RECHARGE OF RS154 FOR LIFETIME INCOMING FREE WHICH WAS FUTILE. HE ALSO CHARGED RS50 FOR THE FOLLOWING SIM AND A LOCAL MADE TATA INDICOM CHARGER FOR RS80 WHICH IS TOO HIGH WHEN COMPARED TO THE ACTUAL PRICE OF THE CHARGER. THE TOTAL PAYMENT MADE TO THE VENDOR WAS RS 883. NOW ON[protected] OUR FREE TATA TO TATA FREE SERVICE WAS INTERUPTED SO,ON[protected] WE COMPLAINED TO THE VENDOR FOR THE INCONVENIENCE OF THE FREE SERVICE, SUCH HIS REPLY WAS, "I GAVE YOU A WRONG SIM WHICH IS SOLD WITH A TATA HANDSET WORTH RS 350(SIM CHARGE) AND RS 400 FREE TALKTIME IS GIVEN ON ACTIVATION AND WHICH YOU(CONSUMER) HAVE CONSUMED IT. MOREOVER THE 599 RECHARGE WAS NOT SUCCESSFUL FOR FREE STD OUTGOING. HENCE FOREWORD, HE WANTED ANOTHER RS 125 FOR REACTIVATION OF 599 AND TO MUTUALISE THE LOSS OCCURED BY HIM FOR SELLING THE SIM OF RS 350, THE RS 400 MINUTES CONSUMED BY THE CUSTOMER.
            I WAS TOTALLY UNAWARE OF THE FREE 400 MINUTES AND THE FAILURE OF THE 599 RECHARGE. I ALSO TOLD HIM ITS YOUR MISTAKE THAT YOU GAVE ME A WRONG SIM WORTH RS 350 WHICH WAS NOT REQUIRED TO ME.
            AT LAST THE VENDOR TOLD ME THAT HE DONT KNOW SIM WILL GET ACTIVATED, IF I DONT PAY HIM RS 125 FOR JOINT COMPENSATING OF THE LOSS MADE BY THE VENDOR.

            SIR I WANT JUSTICE IN MY CASE AND ACTIVATION OF MY SIM WITH ALL THE SERVICE FOR I HAVE PAID TO THE VENDOR AT THE EARLIEST.

              I previously around 20th of this month(20 Aug 2010) bought a Photon whiz connection No-[protected] for my device (that’s working fine with another connection) ,but the device is Displaying the message ”Phone Locked Please Contact Service Centre” so on contacting service centre they said the device is showing “unplugged” so he can’t unlock it and after the complaint no[protected] there comes a service engineer at my place who then re-directed to me to the service centre , and then Tata's system the problem is solved so on again complaining (no[protected] their engineer doesn’t shows up and here comes a SMS saying that the issue has been resolved , which is surely not the case and it’s 10 days since the activation still I ‘am unable to surf the net.

              Tata Indicom/Photon+ — Non-performance

              I have paid Rs.3500 for the modem. I was told that it was much better than the BSNL Broadband service I have, and it gives me mobility. It is seriously deficient. It cannot support any video news channel, any radio channel, any internet telephony, any video-conferencing, the use of webcam, youtube, etc. etc. I was told before buying this product that it did all these things effortlessly. The technicians from Tata Indicom tried and failed to fix any of the abovementioned deficiencies. Now they are adamently refusing to give my money back, On top of that they have sent me a bill for usage that I did not do. All the usage was by their engineers trying to fix the problem. The Photon+ modem was sold to me by lie and deception. I would like to get my Rs.3500 back.

              Tata Indicom/Photon+ — Devise activation not done.

              Pasted below the e-mail I received when I gave Rs 3500 for a Photon Plus. Its pathetic that customet has to give cash on his own risk and the executive will go to office and send a recipt e-mail. I was comitted by the executive that installation will be done within 48 hours. But no body turned back and received arrogant and abusive response from the executives when called back.

              Now its 5 days since I bought the devise and still no response. Call centers doesn't give choice for complaint...!

              Already we have to mak other arrangement for the presentation of my wife's business and had to spent huge money for that.

              Considering the TATA's cheap customer commitment, mony I lost and the emotional torture I went through I demand TATA to pay me back 10 time of the devise cost(Rs 35000) and activate my devise ASAP.

              Also I request TATA to stop cheating other customers and avoid having such non-professional executives.

              Hope Ratan will consider my as his customer...

              further to this they have to be booked for deficiency in service and giving false information to sell their product.
              Same experience. We bought 2 connections paying Rs.3500 each. The Franchisee M/s.Spectrum Services, Bangalore. They promised activation within 24 hours and a week passed sinced they encashed our cheque, now they are not interested even to call us. All promises made have been forgotten. We have spent more than Rs.300/- in phone calls. Always TA TA BYE BYE to Photon + Spectrum Services does not want us to know their office address even. That is costmer service for you. We are left with 2 nos.Photon+ nice looking devices . We spend our time looking at them!!!

              TATA Indicom — Photon Whiz not activated since 1 month

              I have purchased a Tata Indicom Photon Whiz USB Modem and I was told that it would be activated in 48 hours.

              But its already 1 month and it is not still activated.
              I purches tata photan. first twodays it's connect net. After its not cnnect internet.
              I have this problem last one week. This problem continued. plz slove my problem &
              establish my connection.

              TATA Indicom — Device not activated since last 20 days

              I bought a tata Indicom USB Modem from Warjae on 31.05.2010.since theses day my card has not been activated as per the direction from them i had contacted Fc Road Tata Office and Paud Road Office. After that i had submitted my paper of residential proof but still the date they had activated my internet connection.Please look in this

                This is to bring to the notice of cosumer court that, inspite of repeated requests for cancellation of monthly subscription for "Morning MantraPanchang" service , Rs. 30 is cut every month since last 8 months.

                If enquired for the cancellation status from customer care of tata indicom, i get to know that it has been cancelled sucessfully, but again i see that Rs. 30 is cut at the end of the month as part of service renewal fee.

                Kindly take a strict action against this telecom service and i hope i get the refund of last 8 months.

                    I am very sorry to tell you that I am Mohd.Aktar from siliguri in the state of west bengal, Mr.mishra & sumanta both are the employee of Tata indicom office siliguri. They had given me a post paid conection by their personal request on 27th july.My post paid conection is [protected] that was given to me.At that time i told them if you people can change it my last three digit (490) than i can take your conection otherwise i will not take conection. Than they have done comitment to me within two days they will change that number as per my choice.I waited long over 7 days but nobody reply me.After than I called them at my home and given to him (sumanta) that wareless phone and told them after change the number than give it to me returned.But till now they did not retuned me that phone even did not cancell my conection.Again Till now i called up them more than 100 times but nobody response me. Thatswhy i bound to tell you sir how is posible to solve my problem?

                      COMPLAINT UNDER SECTION 12 OF THE CONSUMER PROTECTION ACT, 1986
                      MOST RESPECTFULLY SHOWETH:



                      1. The Complainant runs a business of Corporate Gifting on a large scale since several years and is successfully carrying on the same.

                      2. The Complainant had purchased a Walky under 225 Plan in December 2007 from the Opposite Party’s marketing agent situated at Thane for which the Complainant had made full payment vide receipt no. 926377. As per the scheme prevailing then, the Complainant was offered a Data Card (USB) alongwith the Walky on such terms and conditions as was applicable in the said scheme. Upon the Complainant availing the said scheme, she was given tall assurances about the usage, connectivity, quality etc. of the products, schemes etc. of Tata and based on the said representations of Opposite Party’s representatives the Complainant readily availed the offer of the Opposite Party. A copy of the purchase bill of the Walky and the USB is marked and annexed hereto as Exhibit-A and Exhibit-B respectively.

                      3. Much to the dismay of the Complainant, in September 2008 the USB modem had discontinued working for the best reasons known to the Opposite Party. To which the Complainant immediately called up the service centre of the Opposite Party to get the same repaired or replaced. However to add to the misfortune of the Complainant, none of representatives of the Opposite Party even bothered to respond to the Complainant’s dilemma. This Hon’ble Forum would definitely agree with the fact that since the said USB modem was under warranty, the Complainant was definitely entitled to the replacement or repairing of the said modem.

                      4. Thereafter the Complainant perceptibly could not use the internet connection which is unjustifiable. However the Complainant was shocked to see the bill amount purporting the internet usage made by the Complainant. Since the modem was not working the Complainant using/ surfing the internet to such an extent does not arise at all. Hence the Complainant disputed the same and requested for a detailed statement of the same. As was anticipated by the Complainant, once again representatives of the Opposite Party failed to respond to Complainant’s requests and pleadings. Since the same was disputed and the Complainant was awaiting a detailed statement, the Complainant had no option but to delay the payment of the bill. The Complainant was once again on a spree of making complaints by making innumerable calls for the same but of no avail at all, leaving the Complainant in a lurch.

                      5. One very important and vital point which the Complainant would like to draw kind attention of this Hon’ble Forum is this that the due to the non-usage of the internet connection the Complainant could not send and/ or important mails for which she has incurred huge business losses, which may please be seriously noted. The Complainant is quite deprived of the genuine right of the Complainant, which she is bound to receive the same and for the same the Opposite Party is bound by it.

                      6. The Complainant had requested representatives of the Opposite Party to resume the internet services, but much to the dismay of the Complainant the said representatives have never responded positively or otherwise. It is hereby further stated that inspite of the aforesaid complaints and innumerable oral and written requests made to the said representatives, the Opposite Party has failed and neglected to respond to the Complainant’s pleadings.

                      7. Considering the time constraints and dire need of the internet connection, the Complainant once again bought a new photon+ broadband from the Opposite Party’s Gallery, Thane on 23rd October 2009, which worked well for 2-3 days but was disconnected on the context that the Complainant’s old bill for the said data card was unpaid. However the Complainant was once again traumatized and did not know how to react to such a situation. Please note that the Complainant never ever denied the payment of the bill it was only that she had requested for a detailed statement and the representatives of the Opposite Party failed to provide the same.

                      8. Thereafter the Complainant was constrained to mail a complaint to you citing her predicament on 4th November 2009. A copy of the said mail is annexed and marked hereto as Exhibit-C.

                      9. Further upon the receipt of the said complaint the representative of the Opposite Party gave assurances that the said Photon internet connection will resume and further gave an assurance that the Complainant will get of a discount of Rs.250/- on the purported outstanding bill. My client, keeping the situation in mind as was supplicated and stated by the said representative and her dire need for the internet connection, the Complainant had no option but to make the payment of the said amount minus the discount which amounted to Rs. 986/- via receipt no 15736184 on 13th November 2009. Upon making the said payment, the Complainant immediately sent a mail to you requesting to re-activate the internet connection. A copy of the said mail is annexed and marked hereto as Exhibit-D.

                      10. Then on 14th November 2009 the Complainant received a mail from the Opposite Party requesting the Complainant to provide her TATA Indicom telephone number or account number along with the details of the Complainant’s query for further action, to which the Complainant replied instantly. Thereafter on the same day itself the Complainant received a mail from the Opposite Party that the said photon number [protected] of the Complainant is activated and the said representative of the Opposite Party requested the Complainant to confirm the same. The Complainant was finally convinced that a magnanimous brand like Tata is now living upto its name by now atleast positively responding to my client’s difficulties. Copies of the said mails are annexed and marked hereto as Exhibit-E.

                      11. Further to the utter disappointment of the Complainant the internet connection was discontinued and that the Complainant was left at your mercy once again. Upon calling up the said representatives, they responded by stating that payment of Rs. 250/- is pending; hence the same has been disconnected. Rubbishing the awful justification of your representative the Complainant brought to the notice of the representative of the Opposite Party that the said discount was given to the Complainant for a fact that the Opposite Party had defaulted and that they have availed the Complainant of a discount is explicitly reflected in said mail of the Opposite Party. The Complainant further urged and pointed out the said mail confirming the payment of the Complainant and thereafter resuming the connection. Assuming whilst denying if the Complainant had not made sufficient amount then why would she even receive a confirmation mail or why would the Opposite Party even resume the internet services. Please note that such an uncanny and uncouth behaviour of the said representatives and company squarely falls within the ambit and scope of deficiency of services under Consumer Protection Act, 1986, please note.

                      12. The Complainant was in urgent need to send a quotation for a tender for which she desperately required internet connection on 19th November 2009. Hence the Complainant’s friend requested your representative to immediately resume the internet services on the context that the payment has already been made by her otherwise she will incur huge losses in her business. The said representative explicitly confessed that there has been fault on their part. After suffering for innumerable number of times, the Complainant had learnt a lesson the hard way; hence she has recorded the said conversation with the said representative. Voice piece of the said conversation shall be produced as and when the same is required.

                      13. Thereafter also the Complainant has been constantly following up with the Opposite Party, but they having malafide and capricious intention did not even react to the Complainant’s requests. It seems to the Complainant that there was a deliberate misrepresentation made to the Complainant and that current inability suggested is with a view to hide their misrepresentation and/ or to take additional benefits from the Complainant.

                      14. The Complainant trusted the Opposite Party’s schemes, products etc. in good faith considering the status and stature of the company’s good reputation in providing best service in time. But the Opposite Party completely ignored the commitments that they kept on assuring and promising the Complainant all the way and they completely failed to satisfy her and finally failed to keep up to their words, as assured. Their representatives kept on dragging the matter with false assurances making her to suffer mental agony and pain. Thereby the Opposite Party has deceived and duped the Complainant. There has been a deficiency of service and negligence on their part, the Complainant has suffered a lot and she also has suffered mental agony. The Opposite Party have failed to keep up your promises and assurances given to the Complainant. On account of dereliction of duty and negligence of the Opposite Party, the Complainant has suffered loss and injury due to deprivation, harassment, mental agony and loss of business, for which she is entitled to compensation. It is hereby further stated that the Opposite Party are also liable to pay to the Complainant damages of Rs. 3,00,000/- (Rupees Three lakhs only) for the business losses and damages suffered by her due to the failure of the Opposite Party to provide services to the Complainant and for the false assurances on which she went on relying.

                      15. The Complainant states that the value of the reliefs claimed is below Rs. 20 lakhs,. The Opposite party resides within the territorial jurisdiction of this Hon’ble Forum. Hence this Hon’ble Forum has the necessary jurisdiction to entertain and try the present complaint.

                      16. The complainant further declares that no other case or complaint has been filed before any other court, authority or tribunal regarding the subject matter of the present dispute.

                      17. The cause of action is continuous hence the complaint is in time.

                      The complainant therefore prays that:
                      a) That the Opposite parties be directed pay a compensation of Rs. 3,00,000/-(Rupees Three lakhs only for the business losses suffered by the Complainant and mental pain and agony.
                      b) For costs of this complaint
                      c) For such further and other reliefs and/or directions as this Hon’ble Forum may deem fit and proper.

                          I have never seen such a big brand with tragically poor product management practice, i like to compliment their gov. style of working.

                          If Tata need to identify why TATA is failing in telecom, My experience says become TATA Broadband users and see why ? :)

                          Now the case,
                          I have Tata 180 with night unlimited surf plan on pre-paid
                          i m surprised to see my balance gone down form 3500 to 96 in 4 months ...mostly i am using internet in night only ... OOps
                          i have contacted Tata support with problem .. jul 26th with C N : 12619240

                          Problem
                          1, Support guy refused log my complain, asked me to send mail ...WOW
                          2, Reply with saying "its not been done by tata, only user can activate and deactivate night plan.... with out knowing 2 things
                          a, it can be deactivated when balance is lower then 299 (tata only told me about possibility)..
                          b, their is no facility for user to activate and deactivate plan.. i sent then screen shot of my AC details
                          3, poor communication, tata haven't informed me about any change in policy about night surf ..

                            I bought one tata photon plus prepaid connection from SHUVAM TELECOMMUNICATION, 28 Hazra Road, Kolkata - 29 (Mr. Adak - shopowner) on 08-July-2010.
                            I submitted a photocopy of my passport as identity and address proof.
                            But, the "My Account" web page in tata photon web site is displaying a different address than that in my passport.

                            Moreover, I called one customer representative (Animesh) on 06-Aug-2010 at 8:30 pm (which was the last date for using 1 GB data) regarding my inability to connect to the internet (Error 678). He informed me that the above connection is not in my name and refused to offer any service.
                            As a result, I lost my remaining 235 MB data usage.

                            I also called Shuvam Telecommunication (Bappa) regarding this discrepancy in name and address and they denied to help me and asked me to submit my identity and address proof again at a true value hub in Park Street.

                            I registered a complaint on 09-Aug-2010 (Ref No 176371) in Tata Photon web site regarding this discrepancy in name and address and losing of my 235 MB data usage as a consequence of this discrepancy.

                            Although, Tata Indicom claims to address an issue within 6 business hours, no one contacted me till 10-Aug-2010.
                            I sent an email to the Nodal Officer (Uma Roychowdhury) Kolkata on 11-Aug-2010. After sending this email, one customer service representative called me and informed me that, since 06-Aug-2010 was the expiry date of my data usage, 235 MB has been rightly forfeited. When I asked her about the discrepancy in name and address, she informed me that, she did not have
                            any idea on that. My complaint was closed on that day without asking me whether I am satisfied with the resolution or not.

                            I sent an email to the Nodal Officer informing her that, my complaint was closed without resolving. She replied me back that, 235 MB has been rightly forfeited as 06-Aug-2010 was the expiry date. She did not address my other issue regarding the discrepany in name and address.

                            I again replied her with the complete detail of my complaint and she advised me to submit my documents again to a True Value hub.

                            1. Inspite of providing name and address proof, why Tata Indicom has wrong name and address in their database? I even paid an additional Rs 50 (on top of Rs 2500) to Shuvam Telecommunication (Bappa) for delivering the data card and collecting the documents from my residence.
                            2. I was unable to connect to the internet on 06-Aug-2010 at 8:30 pm and as per Tata Indicom 06-Aug-2010 was the expiry date of my data usage. For Tata Indicom does the day ends at 8:30 pm?

                            I really did not expect this kind of poor service from a company bearing the name of TATA. As I have already spent Rs 2500, I cannot discontinue the service either. The most polite expression that I can use for their service is SHAMEFUL.

                            TATA Indicom — discrepancy of tata representative

                            Hi,

                            This is to bring to your notice that recently I have been facing a lot of issues from the Tata Net connection. I have been a consumer of the tata net connection from quite a long period and have always ensured that I make the monthly payment on time. Like always, this month too I made a payment of Rs.826/- with a cheque#708081 dated:- 25/10/2009 through my savings a/c at the post office branch of Rajouri Gdn., New Delhi. Till 29/10/09 my internet connection was functioning. However on 27/10/09 I recieved a call from the Tata internet rep. who informed me that I need to make my monthly payment so as to continue the access to the internet. At this point , I informed the rep. that all payments have been made and also provided him with the receipt number as a form of evidence that all payments have been made. This receipt number was displayed on their records.
                            Thereafter, I had to go out of station for about 2 days for personal matters. On my return to Delhi, ie.. on 3/11/2009 whien I tried to access the internet, I was unable to do so.In order to know the reason for the same I contacted the Tata people. This is where I was told that my cheque has bounced. I went to the post office where I have rthe a/c through which I made the payment where I came to know that no cheque has bounced on my a/c as my balance in the a/c is more than sufficient for a mere payment of Rs.826/-.
                            Thereafter, I gave a call back to the Tata People to inform them about the same. At this point they gave me another story stating that their rep. was at fault as he did not encash the cheque on time and the cheque did bounce initially but was later accepted. Moreover, they ask to me to make a payment of Rs.100/- as a fine for the cheque that initially bounced. Due to this irresponsible act of the tata rep. I also missed an online interview that was scheduled on 3/11/09 as 4 a.m. for a U.S. based firm.
                            The final word that I had with the tata people was that I have two options so as to access my internet connection:-
                            1) I pay a fine of Rs.100/-
                            2) I come down to their head office with the receipt and a letter from the post office stating that no cheque has been bounced in my name.

                            However, either of the two does not makes sense as it was the representative from the tata net who did not coordinate timely. Therefore, I look upon consumer forum to take neccessary action asap.

                            Then you can find out why wrong data has been recorded in your database.
                            Anyway, I will resubmit my document to true value hub but I would like to know who is responsible for my harassment.

                                TATA Indicom, photon plus — Impossible bill

                                TATA photon plus is being used in a residence since 2 months, the bill which came on the 28th of july says you have a bill of 24, 154 rs that is impossible for a bill of a residence for a month, internet has not been even used for 2 gb and the bill shows it has been used for 21 GB that is irresponsible of the company.

                                Also at complaining to the service center at goregaon west they say you have used till that amount and you will have to pay, they dont even listen to the customers complaint properly i had to literally plead them to do something about this issue, this is extremely not responsible of the company. Please help.
                                Exactly the same problem happened in my case ...they have generated a bill of 7500 rs. saying that I have done 21 GBS o[censored]sage where usually my usage is about 5 gb per month...I dont know where from Tata Indicom is getting this "21 GB" usage magic number...when my yearly statistics doesnt show that much o[censored]sage how can my monthly usage be so much...and the customer care is really pathetic...they dont even listen to my complaint properly
                                My Photon plus number is [protected].Please Cancel my connection Due to Service Problem.Already i sent mail to u two times One and half month before.But up to now i am not receiving any disconnecting mail.we are not using that from last two months. But You sent the bill payment mail to us.Please disconnect the connection as soon as possible.You sent the last two months bill why we pay the money without usage.Once check it.

                                  I have 2 nos. - a landline and a photon from Tata Indicom. I had complained about erroneous billing on Tata photon thru email on 17th July 2010 and personal visit to their Vashi station office. Meanwhile I had settled the bill for my landline. There was no communication from them till 6th August, 2010 when I suddenly found both my landline and photon disconnected. On speaking to them I got a stupid explanation that since it is the same customer ID they have disconnected both the nos. (And this in spite of making the payment towards my landline). Then on 6th August I received a mail from their customer service saying they had investigated at their end and that the billing is correct. They had deliberately increased my rental plan on the photon saying that I had made a call for the same. When I visited their office and told them that I had made no calls (my telephone bill has no call record made to Tata Indicom) they agreed to investigate. Then they just said that the investigation has been done and I have to pay (for their fault of billing me for the wrong rental plan). I would appreciate if they could tell me from which telephone no. has the request gone to them.
                                  Further, I made the payment for the photon on the same day i.e. 6th August (by cheque). Then on 9th I find both my nos. disconnected again. Again I would like to say that I had settled the payment towards the landline before the due date.
                                  So much for the customer service of Tata Indicom. I think they have made enough money by cheating on customers like changing rentals at their own will and forcing us to pay and disconnecting lines at will and still billing us. And now they don't care even if a few customers take the pain (of doing the paper work) to shift to other service providers.
                                  I, for my part have already decided to stop both the nos. from this company that cheats it's customers, as soon as I have another connection in place.
                                  Ideally speaking, I think they should compensate me by paying at least Rs.1 lakh for all the harassment thay have meted out to me.

                                  i also applied for Tata indicom DSL internet service. after 2 days i request for disconnect. but tata indicacom executive told me it take 4-6 days for disconnect. but as per industry rule when u request for discontinue from that day rental not charged on your account. but they charged rental for 12 days and bill amount is Rs. 171.

                                  when i went to pay bill amt to vashi tata indicom galary on 22nd sept bcz of early closing i not able to pay.
                                  when i called custmer care they told 22nd was last date and i need to pay Rs. 100 penatly charges.

                                    I have purchased a Tata Photon Whiz mobile connection, however I did not manage to connect, the operating system I use is Linux Ubuntu 10.04. When I connect the device (CM200) it detects it as a CD drive and in the root folder of it I find a Linux installation package with description "CM200 Linux Driver". I install this package and reboot the system, then I follow the instructions to configure the wvdial software for doing the connection, but it doesn't work. On windows operating system it works, however I am moving to Linux and not planning to be using windows os often. If nobody can tell me how to make the connection work, I shall consider asking service to another company.

                                    Tata indicom photon — Poor performance and not resolved after a month even

                                    Hello,

                                    Happy New year.

                                    I have taken the photon+ boradbadn internet services from tataindicom on 2nd Dec 2009. Account #[protected].

                                    From day one I faced the performace issue. Couple of times I contacted the customer care and they guided me with some system settings. All those did not improve the performance and I lodged a complain on 8th of Dec ( ref#[protected], the site engineers visited my place and sent all the data captured on the speed. The issue did not get resolved.

                                    Without my concurrence and without a resolution, tataindicom has closed my complaint and I registered a new one on 6th Jan 2010 ( Ref#[protected], The Jes visited again and reporeted all issues to their backend.

                                    I have escalated to the nodal officer ( Ms Deepa) and asked for cancellation of my account and refund.

                                    Reuqest your intervention for a faster refund and a compensation for my suffering ( The amount I expect is the same I paid for the connection along with the refund of the same)

                                      i am facing the problem(request timed out while pinging the gateway) since the past 16 days!!!

                                      my complain no. which i had registered on 15th of July2010 is 12556952
                                      Since that, Everyday i call the CustomerCare and they giv me the same reply that we hav kept ur problem on high priority basis and it will be solved as soon as possible since the past 16 days!!!
                                      i think by now i hav made so much calls that i hav talked to every single employee in the Customer Care office
                                      i got no calls/response regarding the problem/complaint and no1 came to solve my problem also since the past 16 days!!! :-(

                                      Hi,

                                      I have taken a Tata Y-Max Connection in Dec and due to your technical failures if have been got vexed and told to terminate the connection by Immediate and I don’t need the connection to be here. At the time itself the bill got generated on the fifth day of my Work Order Activation. After all conclusions and fights for removal of Service and floated a mail to check the same to Mr Sai Prakash (Nodal Officer South 2) My account has been terminated and the bill got to ZERO in February 2010 Bill. Assets are been taken away on March 2010(Attached the SS Collection Form). After that May be all ISP’s have got the Assets collection list with them and as the Service Providers has been getting changed day by day all of them rang to me to collect the assets. To all of them I conveyed the message that the assets are been taken away and this is the Receipt for the same.

                                        i m senior citizen of india m very soorry to say that i had recharged under 94 rs pan 12 rs plan 50 rs the core bal of 43 rs just came but still i cant use internet error721 comes please immediately look into the problem n call[protected]
                                        n what about my 94rs 12 rs which i recharged but received nothing
