Sub: “Customer Harassment by Customer Care Executive of Tata
Indicom Broadband internet service and not solving problem ”

I Anindya Sengupta is using Tata Indicom Broad Band Service from 4th april 2007. The service was renewed on 31st October 2008 ( Service Name --- prepaid unlimited power on & on 6 months 256 kbps speed), expiry date 31st july 2009.

My id of Tata Indicom Broadband is [protected]@vsnl.net. I am unable to surf the internet from 14/05/2009. A series of complain was launched talking to the Customer Care Executives. I am facing the problem till now. The complain numbers and details in particular given below.

I have lodged a written complain to the Nodal Officer Mr Saurav Dutta T.C.I.S.L East Kolkata (TATA COMMUNICATION LIMITED VSB/1/18, C.I.T., SCHEME VIIIM, ULTADANGA, KOLKATA 700054). I am sending you an attachment regarding my complain received by him and no action taken still.

I want to take legal steps through this forum of consumer. Its is a great help for us the customer consumers facing such harassments from leading service providers like TATA COMMUNICATION. I need your help into this matter. Please communicate with me and let me know how to proceed with this through you and take actions for me and other consumers.

    i had puchased a new mobile of tata indicom, with this mobile i received 1000 free minutes promotional balance, i have not used this promotional balance, but now balance not showing in my account, i talked to customer care executice he told me that promotional balance has gone due to withdrawal of sim from mobile phone, but i have not withdrawn sim from mobile phone, and i have not used this promotional balance also, i purchased this mobile only for this scheme in Rs 1600 i received promotional balance of 1000 minutes.

      i have activated my do not disturb service on 18 feb 2009 but still i am receving call for offers and many more. i make 3 complaint to tata nodel officer and applet othority also but no one is answering my no is[protected]

      i m sachin from dist jind haryana. my tata indicom no is [protected] pr april me dnd activate kra tha. pr abhi bhi mere ko call & offers compeny se aa rahe hai. please help me.
      Dear Sir / Madam,

      Tata Indicom has been changed into a nuisance case. Normally private agencies will get the numbers from various sources to disturb the people and that too has become illegal.

      But Tata Indicom with its own data bank with its existing customer disturbing a lot.

      The disturbances In my personal experience is as follows:

      1. Sms: atleast 10 sms on the subjects like caller tones, new offers, etc.

      2. Automated calls: Its really worst. Time is not at all a problem for this automated calls.

      I used to get these automated calls as early as 8 AM and as late as 11 pm. Now - a - days, automated calls has been increased to 3 - 5 times a day.

      Solutions:

      1. I tried to register for do no disturb in their website, but it asked for member login and pass and there is no other options like help or to register new.

      2. When I contacted the customer care, the agents coolingly replied that we have activated the do not disturb option and it will take 45 days to get effect.

      Pls help me to solve the issue otherwise, I am going to take this case seriously.

      I'm Ravi from Delhi. My Tata indicom no is [protected]. I activate DND services on Aug by customer care. But i still receiving unwanted calls.

      TataIndicom — Do not disturb

      i have activated my "do not disturb" serivice on 02 november 2010.
      because i was very disturb from the calls and the messages by the tataindicom.
      Customer care said that after 45 days my all calls and sms will be block.
      after 45 days i was still getting the calls and sms, again i complaint to the Customer Care that i am still getting the sms and call by tataindicom, they said to me that they have registed my complaint and they we solve my problem in 3 days, on the 3rd day i recived a call from the tataindicom care center, they said my problem is solve now and in future you will get any call or sms from tataindicom.
      next day again calls and sms came to me from the the tataindicom, again i complaint, again they said that wait for 3 days...again i wait...again they called me and said that my problem is now solve.
      next day again i was geting sms and calls from the tataindicom.

      i am very much disturb from the the tataindicom.
      i do not want any messages or call from the tataindicom.
      i have complaint them so many times......
      please tell me what to do now...
      today i have called the c.care but they said that they can not do any thing....

        TataIndicom — Disconnected Internetconnection

        Hi All.
        I manish tahiliani went to tatat indicom gallery at ghatkopar to purchases internet wireless connection billing...one of the executive inform us about various plan... he informed us one of the plan V-Data ME-425 plan he informed us that surfacing will be free & downloading will be charge 2rs per mb (Additional )... when u saw the bill surfacing was charged... & When We went to gallery to inquire about the bill the executives at the ghatkopar gallery they behaved very rudely ... We also asked Them to disconnected our no. They refuse to Disconnected The Line...Saying That U have To clear The Outstanding But We Have Not Received Our Bill Yet...We Have Also Asked Them TO Show The Itemized Bill They Refused Again
        this is the 2nd time in 2 months that my account was barred. I had a false billing of 12000 for the month of september. i thank tata indicom to wave it off. they have waved the amount to 2000. however, they keep sending me pre service restriction alert for the month of september. i had already paid 2000(i should have paid around 1100) on 8th october for the month of september. i'm being asked to pay 2200 for the month of september in bills and they are disconnecting me once in every month and i have to make saveral calls and waste my time. i still have due date for my bill of october (1140) till 22nd october. i was disconnected yesterday again which took me a day to figure out what was really going on. the customer care tells me that the account is barred from Hyderabad. it's 3rd month i'm in this same problem. the problems with the pathetic services is putting me to rage. i was suppose to upload a paper in in an international journal . i had to travell to a cyber cafe to do that. what i don't understand is that why i'm still using this service which putts me on hold when i really need the service. regarding the network they say i stay in a very remote area which has a less coverage.
        fair enough let the amount be waved off and i shall say bye bye to tata-indicom for ever...
        tataphoton=poor network+time waste +call hang-upps(the nodal officer doesn't pick my phone)+ lotz of money to invest to reach your tata indicom centre to get rid of problems.

        I want to disconnect tataphoton connection(postpaid) i have registered request[protected] and personally visited there LAJPAT NAGAR center for disconnection and again register the request[protected] within 10 days but they are not disconnecting my connection AND making call every day and asking do not disconnect you connection.

        I am really fedup what should I do please suggest.

          Sir,
          I had purchase a Tata Indicom prepaid set last year of phone no. [protected] and was converted to life time plan. It was working fine till April 2009 after which it stopped working i.e. neither Outgoing Calls were going nor Incoming Calls were being received. At first I was recommended that the problem may be due to some hardware fault of phone device which I got thoroughly checked by the authorized service outlet and they concluded that there was no hardware fault but the problem is due to network and service provider. Consequently I had lodged my first complaint on 21.03.2009, the complaint no. given was[protected]. I was assured that the problem would be sorted out immediately but it was not sorted out. With disappointment I again lodged my complaint the no given was PTC[protected] which also remains unattended. Meanwhile I had again arranged for rechecking of phone for any hardware fault but no fault was detected.
          My latest complaint was lodged on 01.05.2009 of complaint no.[protected] which also remains unattended. I had twice checked my phone for hardware fault bearing all the cost with result showing no error in device and I had also conveyed this information to the Tata Indicom Customer Care Unit yet I am deprived of any solution and my phone remains dead.

          Pre paid phone problem — Phone Dead

          Dear Sir/ Mam,
          Good Evening,
          I am Divakar S/O Dayananthan, Past one and half year we are a regular customer to Airtel.
          We are located in Tirunindravur and our connection NO is [protected] .Now my problem is from 28 th Feb 2008 our phone is not in working condition, so i have contacted Mr Rajesh([protected]) who is the dealer for our area.Rajesh told me some reasons like my pre paid was migrated to post paid, but we didnt gave any request for such a change. On 17th Feb i have recharged for the sum of 900Rs, At last we have nearly 1200Rs balance and iam sure that validity period doesnt expired.

          Mr Rajesh gave Mr Balakarthick number([protected]) who is our area manager for further contact, i have contacted him but i got a very poor reply.

          Past 10days no reply from Airtel...
          Will you help me to find the solution for this, if you cant able to give the solution please let me know, so that i will not waste my time in this issue and will try for some other network.

          My name is Antony, am from Cochin during my onam celebration I brought a cell phone(Huwai) from your store.( Tata Hub, puthussery Building, Kaloor, Deshabhimani Junction, )and the invoice number is 12009-10/[protected]., Date 01 Sep-2009.



          The problem starts from the 3rd day of September, the display has gone and the cell is given to shop for replacement, Manager Aashish([protected]) told me he will give another set within 14 days, but I got after 25days. the end of September.



          The new set is having a problem (auto switch off)from the 1st day onwords. Now the set is been given to Unitrack infosystems, Chammini Kodath House, Kaloor.[protected] for servicing Mar No: 12834. date 08/10/09.The board is complaint in the new cell.



          For the last 4years am using the connection of TATA, and I had taken this new set for my wife and In this 40days I use for only 3 or 4 days, Really am very unhappy with your customer service and your product. Even the CallCenter is also been locked, . I don’t need a new set which is repaired, If possible I need that cashback .

            I had registered a complaint (no. 6590412) on 3.8.2008 for the non-functioning of my TataIndicom Broadband connection. The matter was not attended to and another complaint was lodged on 6.8.2008. I was told that there was a problem on their server. Due to some previous engagemets I was out of town
            from 08.08.2008 to 06.09.2008.The matter was not resolved when I checked on 07.09.08 and I lodged another complaint (no. 6972652) on 07.09.2008 which was atteded on 13.09.2008 in my absence. As per my telecon with Mr Mehfooz (Service Engineer) the problem was solved. At 1730 hrs when I reached home & checked the problem was still not solved. The matter was reported to TataIndicom's call center (no.[protected] who promised that it will be attended to within 24 hours. This was not been done. On 15.09.2008 I spoke to Ms. Tripti from TataIndicom's billing department who advised me to renew the account as it had expired on 15.09.2008 and the problem will be attended to only after the account has been renewed. I had promised to renew the account immediately after the problem has been solved. Ms. Tripti, however, was adamant and even refused to allow me to discuss the matter with her supervisor.

            Subsequent complaints and telephonic discussions have not yielded any positive response from the ISP. A sum of Rs.4669/- still lies in the credit of my account with TataIndicom Broadband which they simply refuse to refund citing that there was no problem from their end. It is also perinent to note that none of their service engineers are competent with a Macintosh computer and as such could not understand the problem.

            TATA Indicom — MONEY NOT REFUND

            Dear Sir,
            This is a humble request to sort out my prblm.
            1 yr before i bought tata landline(FM SET).They asked me to pay Rs1000 extra for FM Set.but after 2 month my set was not working so they changed that set with a normal LG set and told me they will change it to FM set when it was available.But till today they didnt.When I stopped paying the bill(2 month )they start calling me and asked for the payment.I asked to adjust that extra amount which was tkane frm me for FM SET.still today i didint get any positive feedback from their side. evry month they called me and try to misguide me.

            Tata Indicom Broadband — Refund of MONEY

            Hi This is Mohit Jain. I am a Tata Indicom BroadBand Prepaid Customer having userid ([protected]@vsnl.net). This is to bring in your kind notice that I have raised a request 7th June 08 (Request no.-6020712, Inquiry No.[protected] for shifting of connection(change of address). Since then I have contacted at the customer care ([protected]) many times, each time not getting any satisfactory reply. I have never got any reply from their side, now i am feeling very much helpless. They are not able to serve the request also not refunding my money (3217 INR) as it is a prepaid connection. Kindly help me with the refund of my money as I dont want to continue the connection.

            Tata Indicom Broadband — Refund

            I applied for a Broadband Internet Connection and paid cash on 17/09/2008 a sum of Rs. 2, 304/- (subscription charges + one month pre-paid internet charges).

            Due to technical difficulties, I was informed that I cannot get a connection and was promised for my refund within one month. After one month, I received a cheque favoring "Tata Telecommunications Ltd." instead of me.

            I e-mailed and called the Customer Care Center but was not treated properly and now even the sales representative has stopped picking up my telephone calls.

            I need suggestions regarding what legal actions I can take in this matter. I have the receipt of the payments I have made as the only proof.
            I have a TataIndicom Broadband connection since 17.02.2007. However, I regret to say that the services provided are not commensurate with the "TATA" brand name.

            Tata Indicom Broadband — money refund

            In august last i took Tata indicom broadband connection flash 256. plan includes unlimited 256Kbps in day time (8AM -10 PM) and night 1.5 Mbps (10 PM - 8 AM). for awarding installation charges i payed them 4 months advance payments. One month it works fine in second month i got very slow speed not even 10%. I race complaint regarding this many time they close this without my information .After 5 week i got reply its major problum with server so we are not able to provide this service more and they offer me other plan which is not value for money. when i asked since you are not able to provide serve so give my money back they answer me its not in company terms and condition.I ask ok can you give me some other think witch i can use like wifi router and terminat this service.for that they are not ready to say yes. final they give me a mail we will terminate this service and if any refund towards my account will be processed within 60 days from the date of termination.I asked them how much they will refund approximate they are not ready to say.

            I tried everything witch is possible for them but they never compromise and didn't say clearly what they are going to give me back.

            Any one can help me on that?

            tataindicom prepaid — downloading the images from tatazone

            Respected sir, I am using Tata indicom prepaid mobile, There is a Tata zone for browse the images and tones. On 24/01/2010 I am visiting the Images of What's new in the subject. I have rejected to download the Images where there is an instruction of "You will be charged Rs10/-. would you like to continue?
            & I have downloaded the images of "3Idiots" film which has an instruction of "You will be charged Rs /-. would you like to continue?" From that I understood for which no amount will be deducted.
            In the Rs column they have not displayed the amount, so i have downloaded 6 images. But they have deducted Rs 60/- without a valid reason.
            So I have intimated to the Service centre ( Mr Karthikeyan ) But he told no refund amount will be given to me. At the same time he is not agree with thier mistake to display the amount in the downloading column.

            So I kindly request you to register this as a complaint and process for refund.

            tataindicom prepaid — complaint closed But Refund / justification reply not given

            Respected sir, I am using Tata indicom prepaid mobile, In Tata zone I am using to browse the images and tones.

            I have rejected to download the Images where there is an instruction of "You will be charged Rs10/-. would you like to continue?

            On 24/01/2010 I am visiting the Images of wall papers in that there is an indication of Free expires on 24 May 10,& I have downloaded the images of "3Idiots" film which has an instruction of "You will be charged Rs /-. would you like to continue?" From that I understood for which no amount will be deducted.

            In the Rs column you have not displayed the amount, so i have downloaded 6 images. But you have deducted Rs 60/- without a valid reason.

            So I have intimated to the Service centre ( Mr Karthikeyan ) But he told no refund amount will be given to me. At the same time he is not agree with the mistake to display the amount in the downloading column.

            Again I have registered the On line complaint No 137774 Now the status of the complaint is closed but the refund was not given to my account.

            Else I request you to justify the Free Indication available in the Tata zone.

            So I kindly request you to register this as a complaint and process for refund.

            TATA Indicom Broadband Service — Refundable Money not received

            Sir as i was said that when i'll terminate my broadband connection i'll get a sum of 1000 INR refundable money ,which is missing. I have Also made complaints regarding this matter in the company offices and customer care.Now they are just ignoring me.
            My date of termination of tata indicom broadband service was 16 may 2009.

            Tata Indicom Broadband — Not Attending complain

            I Mohammed Jameel have Internet Connnection on my father's name Mohammed Jamal
            User Id:[protected]@vsnl.net using internet from past 3 years recently we have raised a complain to change our internet from prepaid to Postpaid on 9 th march complain number is 11846882 they said within five working days the complain will be resolved but after seven days we again call they said they call but no one response that's why we have closed the complain but We haven't receive any call & we did not switch off our mobile how can they closed the complain just trying for one time they have to try for second time they have to check whether we recieve call or not but they closed complain.

            again on 19 we raised the same complain then they said with in five working days the complain will be resolved new complain no:11902584

            as it is too late to solve my problem I want that as early as possible please solve my problem I have to submit bill in my office

On 10/05/2009, i recieved a message from tata indicom.The message is (Make all STD calls @ 1 Re, Local T2T @ 10 paise, other local mobile @ 50 paise with just Rs 69, for 30 days, To Njoy this STV Rs 69 just sms "PowerPlus" to 12524).On 24/05/2009 i have recharged my phone by sending sms to 12524.But, even after opting for PowerPlus plan, 50 paise per min is being charged for T2T calls instead of the mentioned 10 ps per min.I have also called to customer care but they simply told that it was a wrong sms which i have got on 10/05/2009.Actually my prime purpose for opting powerplus plan is 10 ps per min for T2T calls only.
              You are requested to go through the details and let me know what might went wrong and do the needful at the earliest.

              Please make the necessary arrangements such that information sent by you thru SMS or any other means should not mislead loyal customers as well as should not bring negative impression to the Company Brand value.

              I am awaiting your immediate and useful response. Otherwise i may have to escalate this issue to higher officials, if i feel it is mandatory.

              dear sir/mam, I am durgesh from bhiwani. I am using tata indicom last 4 years .My mob. no. is [protected].Its unlimited free by charging STVNSM-51for every month.my problem is that i recharged sms pack-30 on[protected].but i received sms 'plz. recharged your no.'on[protected]it was 38.whenever i check the bal.early in the morning on[protected].it was 145/-.i have make a call in between 15to25dec.unlimited free tata to tata about 2hours daily.while on 15 dec.my bal.is near about 175/-. when i contact the custmer care for this.they call me.you have recharged by plan-52 on 15 dec.2009.but i have not recharged any such plan except sms-pack. plz.check my problem.to avoid bad impression about tata indicom.thank you.

                2 WEEKS AGO YOUR FIELD SALESMAN MR.VINOD ( MOB.-[protected] ) VISITED MY HOUSE IN PANJIM GOA AND OFFERRED TO INSTALL A BROADBAND CONNECTION IN 3 DAYS.

                AFTER STUDYING THE BROCHURE AND DIFFERRENT TARIFF PLANS WE CHOSE THE PLAN WE WANTED, FILLED IN THE FORM[protected] AND I GAVE THEM A CHEQUE No.348309 IN FAVOUR OF TTML FROM MY ACCOUNT IN CORPORATION BANK, TONCA, PANJIM..

                2 DAYS LATER A TECHNICIAN VISITED VISITED, SAID THERE WERE NO CONNECTION BOX IN OUR AREA AND THAT I SHOULD CONTACT MR.NAVNIT ( Mob-[protected] ! ) I CONTACTED MR. NAVNIT AND ASKED WHY DID YOU’LL CONTACT ME AND OFFER A BROADBAND CONNECTION WITHOUT FIRST CHECKING IF IT WAS FEASABLE. HE PROMISED TO GET BACK TO ME, NEVER DID AND IS NOT ACCEPTING MY CALLS NOW ?!

                SURPRISINGLY I CONTACTED BSNL AND HAVE BEEN GIVEN A BROADBAND CONNECTION IN JUST 4 DAYS !! I WOULD APPRECIATE YOUR COMMENTS ON THIS SORDID AFFAIR AND REPLY ON HOW YOU ARE GOING TO COMPENSATE ME.                   This is a most fradulent case coming up from the company Tata Indicom.
                  I've purchased Photon + (My account no.[protected] for Rs 3, 500 and have opted for the monthly rental plan of Rs 1100 and upto 10 GB of limited download. The real problem started when I was shocked to see the bill amount of Rs 2332/- for the month of May, despite not downloading upto 10 GB. And without prior information they have barred my internet services before the due date[protected].

                  This is case, not only happening with me but many others.

                  I'ld request you to take the needful action on this, so that in future no one gets cheated by this.
                  I also have the same plan., , and i got a shocking bill of Rs. 8000 the photon which i took by paying Rs 4000 plus with no rental fee for free and 10GB free per month, , i got a bill that is unbelievable ... and they have blocked my connection.. and also the tata indicom normal data card which i took a plan for Rs. 3000 Plus too got barred and also i got a bill of 1000 rental..when i have taken the three month free rental and usage plan... tata indicom is really troubling me.. and affecting my work
                  I also have the TATA INDICOM photon+ plus connection. i took the connection by paying Rs3500 for the device. i took the Rs 1100 plan, the sales executive told usage is unlimited, i reconfirmed twice before signing on the paper. she told it is unlimited.in the next day confirmation call they confirmed it is only 10GB download limit. i raised so many complaints on the sales executive through phone and also by mail. they didn't take any action. i downloaded 10.6GB of data, but i got a bill of Rs 8450 for a month. i went to tata indicom shop twice, nobody responded positively. i don't know what to do. recently i got one more shock, i was not at all connected the photon+ card to computer past 10 days, but in the my online account it showed 400MB of data downloaded in a particular day, even though i didn't connected to net. I wanted to raise file a consumer case. if all photon+ victims raise complaint on tata indicom, we will get our money back, atleast we will stop the people we are going to take tata indicom connection.
                  Absolutely same thing happened with me also. I have purchesed a new Photon+ connection from Tata Indicom on 27th of May 2009. My account is under the HSIA Freedom Plan, which comes with 10GB of free usage per month. When i purchased the plan i was not informed that the free usage was prorated. In addition the online system (which is the only way to track the usage) shows i have 10GB of free usage. I have never in any form of communication been informed the actual limit for free usage for the first month (except for the plan details which only states that it is 10 GB). Now the company has billed me for the usage over a prorated limit, while the actual limit or the fact that it is prorated is not communicated in any from. Also my line has been barred.
                  I have also filed complaint for this and also sent mails but have not recieved any response.
                  similar is my case.i bought photon connection 10 days bfore.on the 10th day, i got a call frm tata indicom that my bill is a shocking 16000rs.i am going to file a case in consumer court, and i request to all those suffering frm the same problem to file a case against tata indicom, so that they wud be taught a lesson...
                  ya their service really sucks. they say they will provide 3mbps speed, but i am not even receiving 256kbps at times. there is no problem with my place, because i was receiving nearly 3mbps in the same place, when i purchased it as brand new. as time went by, the speed too went bye bye. i need to post the complaint in their forum, do you know where i can post it? so that they can take some measures on this.
                  i have problem that i want to know where is T-sim in my Photon Whiz USB. Rplay me As Soon As Possible...Can I Remove T-sim From USB

                      Vsnl TATA Indicom — Negligent attitute of personnel

                      I have been using VSNL Broadband for the last one and a half year. I have opted for a plan that offers me unlimited usage from 9pm to 9am. But since last few months my browsing speed slows down to less than 1/4 of the speed that the company promises. I have a 2 Mpbs connection and the speed that i get is just 196 or 200 kpbs. inspite of repeated complaints my problem has not been resolved. please help me..
                      It could have something to do with your the download limits that they enforced on unlimited broadband plans. It is called something like Fair Usage Policy. So even though it is advertised as unlimited, there is actually a limit (for Flash 256 it is 44 GB and so on). http://sushubh.net/3382-tata-fair-usage-policy.                       We installed a VSNL broadband connection for home usage since May 2010. We have been receiving very steep bills each month since May. The May bill was Rs. 14,000 and the June bill has come as Rs 41,000 which is highly absurd and unacceptable. Please suggest us a way out of this.

                        With Deep Grief and Painful Heart I am bound to write such letter to you.
                        I am a user of two prepaid, two post paid, Photon and Two USB Internet of your reputed brand.
                        Since last couple of days my marketing Head Mr. Vikrant Ragav was facing some problem with PHOTON.
                        We complaint regarding this and we received a call from [protected] on 19th May 2009 asking us to come to Tata Indicom office, Situated at F FORT Building, Guwahati so that the problem can be resolved
                        We reached office at around 5:30 pm and we were escorted inside the office. I was accompanied by Mr. Ragav and Mr. Anuj, My Partner.
                        While we were waiting for the problem to be solved one Mr. BIDYUTPAL BORA, came near us and started shouting at us. He blamed us for loitering without reason. When we said our problem he again shouted at us and asked us to get out of the office. When we tried to explain our stand he got hostile and even threatened for dare consequences.
                        And this happened in front of all the office staff.
                        He treated us worse than a thief. And we went inside only after your executive swapped the I card.
                        This is entirely inhuman and unexpected behavior from your staff has put me down.
                        I am surrendering all my TATA INDICOM connections and request you to kindly look into the matter so that others don’t get humiliated.
                        Tata’s name has always been taken with dignity in this country but this few people are leaving no stone unturn to spoil the same. A rotten fruit in the basket is dangerous.

                        Sub: TATA Indicom Dial-up connection not working since 13/08/09. The numbers 66566350; 172226 not working at all. Gross misbehavior by Mr. Praveen {who responded to the num [protected] and whose supervisor is Mr. Tarun (phone num #[protected]}

                        1. I, have a dial-up connection, which is not working since 13/08/09. Every time I try to connect through the dial-up connection, it displays “Remote computer not responding”. Despite many complaints no resolution has occurred till date.
                        2. Every time I try to lodge a complaint at the customer care department, I am asked to reset my PC configuration. I myself am a computer literate and despite telling customer care official what they should look for (which is a backend problem), they simply ignore it and the problem still remains unresolved.
                        3. As the problem remained unsolved, I asked for the nodal officer’s number, Shrividya Iyer ([protected]), who, I am sorry to say is never available. The phone simply rings without anyone responding. The TATA Indicom site, I am sorry to say does not give any numbers of Managerial level personnels.
                        4. I first lodged the complaint (C.No. #[protected] on 13/08/09. Without any intimation to me I was told yesterday by Mr. Santosh of customer care that a Mr. Srikant had closed my complaint after informing us. No such intimation was received by us, yet the complaint is closed without any resolution.
                        5. Yesterday (27.08.09), I again lodged a fresh complaint with Mr. Santosh (C.No. #[protected] giving all my details (cell numbers which earlier was not noted despite giving it) so that I can be notified as soon the problem is rectified.
                        6. Today, (28.08.09), again I tried to call up the nodal officer Shrividya Iyer, and one Mr. Praveen responded. He was extremely rude to say the least. Instead of listening to the problem, he categorically stated that “We are here to provide the connectivity. If any problem happens we are not responsible for it.” The irony of the matter is Mr. Praveen does not realize that one cannot have proper connectivity if the backend server does not work. I do not know in what capacity he is working there but definitely he does not know what he is doing. My father, who is a retd. computer engineer of DOT, told Mr. Praveen, where to look but instead of graciously listening to him, he started yelling at my father. When I tried to speak to him, he simply disconnected the phone. I have tried so many times after that, he has kept the phone off the hook.
                        7. I myself have worked in private companies and we are taught the adage that the “Customer is always right” but am sorry to say, your company does not even teach your employees the basic decorum of how to interact with customers. This incidence has shattered the image of TATA per se. My brother worked with TATA steel at Jamshedpur during JRD’s time and had given a glorified image of TATA. Seems that with JRD’s passing, the glorious days of the TATA’s are a thing of the past.
                        m also thinking of joining tata(taking conn).but what this???????????

                          This is M.Ramlal Yadav bearing the Tata no [protected]. According to my Postpaid connection i am in 'Cmo New Tata Platinum Plan '. As said by your Executive Mr.HABIB ([protected]) from the monthly rental of Rs 350/- i will be charged 50ps per call from starting i.e, with 350Rs i can talk upto 700 minutes. But i have been charged Rs1/- from starting upto 350 minutes i.e, i can use only 350 minutes for 350Rs. There after i had been charged 50ps after first 350 minutes. Without knowing this i already paid bills for two months which lead to an extra payment of 350/- i.e, 175/- each month.
                          So, Please rectify this and allow us to use your services uninterruptedly.

                          TATA Indicom — Bill Plan

                          Dear Sir,
                          I am customer of TATA INDICOM in cochin kerala and recently i wanted to change my plan, so i went to the Tata Indicom Value center at Kadavanthara, Cochin. The executive who attanded me there, handed me over a bill plan detail print out and explained to me the Homenet 275 Plan, as per him the plan comes with 2000min free STD and Local calls and after that will be charged 0.50 Rs/Min.He wrote the same thing on the bill plan details he printed for me.Now, when my bill for the month Jun was generated, i got to know that there are no free STD/Local min in this plan and all calls are charged, to generate a bill of Rs 1977. I went to the Tata Indicom office, along with the bill plan details he gave me and asked the same person about it. He was confused and asked his superior, after that he informed me that thers was a mistake and all call are charged 0.50 Rs.I want a justification and correction on this. I am not paying the bill amount. Its cheating, these people informed me something else and after that charging me heavily.what should i do now??

                            I am Romesh Pillay working in a firm named Sprouts Associates. I have called up to Tata Indicom broadband on their no. 60607070 & requested for installing the broadband in the firms name, at that time they have taken my request & given the reference numbers for future follow-ups i.e. 1823544 & 1823548 and told that someone will visit and install the broadband.

                            On 11th May2009, Mr. Srinivas & G.Mahesh Kumar from Swetha Marketing (Dealer of TATA Indicom Broadband) visited the premises & informed about the required documentations for connection & installation charges Rs.1000/- + Security Deposit Rs.1000/- + Service tax of Rs.124/- has to be paid & they have assured that within one day installation will be done. I have requested them to come on 13th May 2009 for documents etc. and Mr. G.Mahesh Kumar (contact no.[protected], 66322253/54) from M/s. Swetha Marketing has visited our premises & collected the documents & also Rs.4248/- for two connections with an assurance that within one day the broadband connection will be installed.

                            Now today after calling several times on Swetha Marketing's number there was no response from them and even on mobile number is also not picked up by them, I have again called up customer care number 60607070 and this time they have informed me what was not informed to me at the time of booking request and even at the time of personal visit & also at the time of document collection with money i.e.

                            1. Tata Indicom broadband is collecting the money first & within 3 days they check for feasibility & if not possible they return the money to the customer within another 7 days

                            2. In case of feasibility check is positive, they install the connection within 12 days which is again a very longer period.

                            My greivances is that if they had informed me earlier regarding this time for installation or money back, i would have chosen a different broadband service provider.

                            I would request your good selves to kindly help me in getting back my money of Rs.4248/- immediately from M/s. Swetha Marketing, who is collected on behalf of M/s. Tata Indicom Broadband.

                              Respected Sir,
                              I really feeling very sad to says that your customer care ‘s executive don’t talk properly with customer. Actually last night dated 14/05/2009 I was set one welcome tune, the song which I requested to set was not correct, your executive give me a wrong welcome tune code.
                              You please replace the song which you set last night with the song “ miscall mara taru kiss debhi ka ho” instead of “miscall marila” (WT 49219). If it could be possible for you then u please replace the song which I requested above. Or you delete the song which you have set last night.
                              I anticipate for your quick response, I hope you will troubleshoot my problem.

                                I purchased a mobile handset online from Tata Indicom's website and made the payment online though my credit card on April 28, 2009. They committed online that the handset will be delivered within 3 working days. Its been more than 15 days since then and still I have nit received my shipment. There is no contact number given on the website for checking about my shipment. So, I called up their customer care (No.[protected] and their reaction was surprising. They did not give any cognizance to it and said it does not come under their purview and I should called their marketing helpline no. ([protected]). So I called up their marketing helpline no and they asked me to call the customer care for the required information, and they put me in this vicious circle of calling. Please look into the matter and help me.

                                i have requested thrice for the closer of tata zone on my cell no.[protected] name of haresh karia & i am paying rs.150/= monthly additional in bill from last 2years for the service which i am not using. i have given two written complaints at your tata gallery santacruz, mumbai.

                                now furthur i am not ready to pay any amount for the tatazone which i am not using so i am requesting you to immdieatly discontinue the service on my no.

                                  I am facing serious issue regarding Tata indicom network availability in my building. i am living on 2nd floor and in my mobile there is always no service displayed. i purchased tata indicom for its brand name TATA, but the signals in tata indicom are always in TATA (bye bye) mode. They advertise for advanced digital network but i say "jab signal hi nahin to kaisa digital aur kaisa analog".

                                  it is worst in its network signal strength.

                                  Tata Indicom Mobile — Delay for getting connection

                                  This is 18th day I deposited the security money Rs. 500 for postpaid connection to rajajinagar, bangalore tataindicom showroom. Till date i did n't get any positive response. They don't picked up my call also,
                                  What am I do ? Am I lodge a police complain against them ?

                                  Yesterday I was told that data is not updated but after 24 hours of time even today I talked to customer care executive (Priti Saha) at 11.54 A.M.,the reply was the same........SHAME TATA SHAME !

                                  I wanted to know under relevant section of RTI Act,2005,the very cause of such deductions.No reply came but again balance was deducted.Your customer dealings are extremely poor.

                                  So,no option left for me but to switch over to another service provider.
                                  Thank you for your non-co-operation.

                                      TO WHOMSOEVER THIS MAY CONCERN

                                      I was using the Tata Indicom's service until Dec 2008. These were my numbers - [protected] and [protected]. A mail was sent to Tata Indicom on Jan 27, 2009 asking them to disconnect the lines. a altter and final receipt was attached along with this mail. I even got a call from some executive who tried hard convincing me to continue with the lines but I refused to oblige. He finally agreed to discontinue the line.

                                      The bills kept coming despite the fact that I had asked them to discontinue the connection. A stinger mail was sent to them on April 17 - after which I got a call from them saying that they would discontinue the lines. Since then I am getting calls asking me to make a payment of 4, 000 Rs.

                                      This is disgusting. I think Tata Indicom is full of who are either uneducated or have no brains. The entire staff of Tata Indicom needs to be kicked out - if they continue to work there they would only do harm to the brand and nothing else.

                                      I come from a family of lawyers and we know very well how to handle these bunch of . I hope this gets resolved soon. I have no issues in sending them a legal notice. This matter will also be published in the daily newspapers.

                                        I have been using TataidicomBroadband connection (128kbps unlimited postpaid) for last 2 yrs. Of late I have found that though the net connection is connected but there is no trasfer of data ( i.e. the connection is not working at all) most of the time. It gets connected after few hrs automatically & gets disconected suddenly. Even the real speed which i am getting is also very low in comparison to the original speed I am supposed to get(128kbps). I had lodged a complain in TataindicomBroadband customer care on May 1st'09. They responded to my complain with a mail only assuring me that their "team will contact me very soon". But even after 10 days when there is no responce from their side, I wrote a second complain to which they responded through mail only. I have been paying Rs-786/ month for this connection, but not a all satisfied with the service they are providing as I am not able to use the broadband conection at all.

                                        Tata Indicom Broadband — not able to access few website

                                        Hi,
                                        I had lodged a complaint to tataindicom customer care on 21/09/2008 that i am unable to access my company website but till now it is not resolved. Till now i have sent them the required informaton 4 times through e-mail and still they are asking to send the same information again and again. whenever i call to customer care they do not respond properly. Today(21/10/2008) when i called them i was told that the complaint has been closed by someone without my knowledge. i had asked them so many times to remove the connection and refund my money that also they are not responding properly. I sent the mail with information twice to the technicians; vishu kumar (vishu.[protected]@tatacommunications.com) and twice to mahesh (mahesh.[protected]@tatacommunications.com).
                                        This is not the first time i have lodged the complaint to tataindicom. when i took the connection the internet was not working properly it was getting frequent disconnection, which was solved almost after 10-15 days that too after complaining so many times.
                                        can you please suggest me what i should do to get back my refund?

                                        Tata Indicom Broadband — cheque qont be returned

                                        On 5th Nov 09 the sum of Rs 6618/- (Six thousand six hundred and eighteen) was paid to your local rep vide our cheque number 155961 dated 5 nov 09 for a broad band connection at my residence.

                                        After passing 25 days neither the connection had been given nor has the cheque with documents been returned to me.
                                        I have been in touch with Mr Azmat from TATA and he told me that the cheque would not be returned as now it is TATA's property.
                                        In view of the above you’re requested to either provide me a broadband connection as requested by me vide application number A[protected] or return the cheque along with the document at the earliest.

                                        Suggest me what should i do



                                        If the connection was not feasible the document and the cheque should not have been collected at the outset.

                                        Dear Sir

                                        Tataindicom broadband terminated my connection after giving me one months notice. They have also closed my email account as well.
                                        Please restore my email account as it will affect my profession if not.

                                        Tata Indicom Broadband — Unable to resolve Internet Issue

                                        I myself Chandan Kumar B.S,i am using Tataindicom Broadband Connection for last three years.Till now I had never faced any problem while using internet,But over the last couple of days,I am facing lot of problem.I had registered complaint regarding the broadband issue with the complaint placed on 19/04/2011 no[protected],Again on 22/04/11 no[protected] and now new complaint has registered on 01/05/2011 no[protected].But Till now they are unable to resolve my issue.I request you people not to go for tatandicom Wimax.It is the worst service provider.Better go for Airtel or BSNL Broadband.
