I am a very old customer of airtel and have been using airtel gsm prepaid, postpaid as well as broadband connection at my home and office. I subscribed to airtel secure service after seeing much hyped advertisements on tv. The mere fact that my phone is already under warranty, i had an extra out cover and tampered glass on my phone, and i still decided to invest in it's insurance clearly show how much i am concerned about my phone and take care of it.

On 09/07/2017 i was walking down the street when i slipped due to wet road as it rained in the morning, and my handset fell down and the touchscreen developed cracks. Though the phone was working i spoke to airtel and they advised to file a claim for physical damage.in spite of all the documents uploaded, i repeatedly kept on getting emails from them asking for a pic of the phone with the battery removed. Finally my claim was submitted after on 18/07/2017 i. E. After 10 days of rigorous follow up with them trying to make them understand that my phone's battery is not removable.

Now after 11 days i received an email from them saying claim rejected by the insurance company due to improper handling | no proper care of handset has been taken by insured to safeguard the property. Can somebody explain me how you are supposed to handle the phone while accidentally slipping on a road? My phone did have an outer cover as well as extra tampered glass to protect it from a damage in case of minor impact by felling down. The screen broke as it was a major impact as i slipped and fell down with a "good enough impact" causing myself to get injured and the phone screen damage.

If this is not, what the hell is "an accident" then? I am without a phone for 11 days and now they are saying claim rejected due to improper handling? Do you mean to say i slipped on the road and broke my phone and my body for a pleasure? What a ridiculous lame excuse for not keeping your promise and providing a service for which you are charging me me every month. And what is this insurance company now? I am paying to airtel for their airtel-secure plan being advertised on tv all the times to assure me of complete care and repair of my phone in case of accidental or liquid damage and now since that has happened they are passing the buck onto somebody else?

I want somebody "logical" to immediately look into this and arrange to get the phone repaired and delivered to me at the earliest failing which i would be left with no other option than to proceed with the legal proceeding with district consumer forum to safeguard my rights as a consumer and get the service for which i am being charged and am in a contract with airtel.

Mr. Rakesh, to update you, I received an email from Airtel that my claim is still under processing. However, I received a message that the claim has been rejected. You can see the attached email image here. Kindly upadte e about the actual position and an update in my case, if any.

Dear Mr. Rakesh, At the outset I would like to thank you for looking into this one for me especially when I was loosing hope of getting any resolution/help from Airtel.

To update you, I received a call from one of your staff members this evening and after analyzing the situation we reached the conclusion that while filling up the claim form, under "Description of Incident", they only thing that is mentioned is that the handset fell while I was walking down the street. The Actual Complete incident that I slipped and fell down on the road was not mentioned therein.

I was advised me to raise a fresh claim in "My Airtel App" mentioning the complete incident in order for my claim to be processed and approved. I did try to do that, however it does not seem to be accepting the fresh claim and does not proceed any further when i click on "Submit Claim" after inputting all the required information and uploading the documents required. I feel it is due to the fact that a claim is already under process and in on "Handset Delivery stage" since 27.07.2017.

The only way to proceed here seems to be "editing the current claim description". Kindly advice.

Waiting for further instruction if anything needs to be done from my end in order to get this resolved. Hoping to hear from you soon as I am without my phone for about 26 days now.

This happened to me as well. Airtel outright rejected my claim mentioning that it is a improper handling.
I too a very old customer to airtel. Deeply disappointed with airtel and moving out of airtel now.

In my case it was liquid damage due to sudden downpour when i stuck in Bngalore traffic.

    I recharge for low voice rate (30 paise per minute validty 56 days)
    I recharge two times 35 + 35= 70 rupess balance cut from my account from my airtel sim but not get my offer on my number... So give me my refund back because airtel cut my amount but not giving me any subscription of my special offer of my phone. So i hope i will get my refund back of rs.70/-...

      I am writing to bring to your attention for the 4g connection. The connection was succefully worked for continuous 7 days but suddenly on this week the connection has stopped n couldnot browse.
      As this situation has happened, i would like to complain for the connection if you could repair the connection & we would be thankful to u alot. And my contact number is [protected]. You can not service your network then you return my money.

        Hi airtel,
        I port my sim from tata docomo to airtel, sim is ported out network is coming but when i am trying to dial 59059 for tele verification it is not working. I need to short this out as soon as possible because this is my permanemt number.

          massage service

          Massages are not coming to my mobile no that makes me very uneasy. So activate the massage service or whatever be the issues, resolve it. This problem arises when i changed the sin from 2g to 4g. All other things are ok but massages from other mobile and other important service provider are not recieved to this number.           Hi,
          I am a regular customer of airtel prepaid.

          My issue is:
          I have recharged using my airtel app (Registered with mobile no [protected]) and also through website on 29th july (Today) by amount rs. 499. On first attempt i got message that recharge got failed and hence i tried it second, third time with same amount.
          Later i found that my balance got deducted three times. After that i recharged rs. 349 but same problem appeared. Can you guys take a look into this issue.

          So please kindly rectify this problem and refund my money as soon as possible.

            Dear sir/mam,
            I would like to bring in to your attention that my prepaid connection [protected] (My name is gandhiraj. S) having sim number[protected]. I had purchased this card from airtel show room in chennai, tiruvanmiyur (Acentes building branch) on july 17, 2011. I have changed my network aircel to airtel without change my number. Now i went to airtel showroom to link my aadhar card with my sim however they informed that my number has tagged with different customer name hence i unable to link my aadhar with my sim. I called customer care service and confirmed the same (Call ref no:- [protected]). I dully completed the all the required documents required by the airtel hence they changed my number aircel to airtel (I hope you, will understand that it is not easy to change without my proof). Please let me know the reason why my number has tagged with different customer name (Prabhakar) and who is responsible to correct this issue and provide easy way to link my aadhar and address proof with my mobile number. This error has done by airtel end hence my connection should not be disconnect at any cost. Please look into this matter on urgent basis and resolve the issue as soon as possible.

              I have applied for prepaid to postpaid. Mobile no. [protected] a month back. But address verification failed then we have cancelled request. But a week before suddenly no stopped working. After visiting store came to know got allotted to someone else in chandrapur..
              But without intimation how no is allotted to someone else.. We did reachrge on 21 st.. The number was active.. Please look into this.. Visited store n number of times..

                This is the worst network in india. It gives a speed of 100 kpbs in a city like bangalore and no one is there to solve this problem after many complaints. I think you should freaking remove the tag "fastest network in india" and should shut your company down. I am switching to jio if the same problem continues in the future. Thanks for such a slow network, airtel!

                  I received a bill of rs 1330.38 in this month (July) and they said that the extra amount has been charged for extra data consumption though i am having active data plan and my airtel app is showing that i have 1.25 gb data remaining.

                  I do not know how can they charge for extra data consumption while i have not used the full data.

                  I called them and they said they can not do anything.

                    Ever since i had the misfortune of recharging my data pack for my airtel number, i can no longer visit any site on the internet without getting redirected to one. Airtel.in. It has become something of a torture, for it has been close to 6-7 hours and it still keeps happening. Happens on both my phone and desktop browsers (Chrome, firefox and opera).

                    I have reset all my browsers twice, changed and reset my apn data, cleared browser cookies, restarted my mobile 10+ times, swapped sim slots. Nothing. No matter what url i type in my browser, it'll automatically change the url to one. Airtel.in and redirect every site traffic.
                    It is a big shame that airtel spams their customers with this [censored]bag of a site especially after a fresh recharge. What if i had an exam form to fill online? Would airtel be responsible if i could not fill up an application and passed the deadline just because airtel decided to redirect every single url to one. Airtel.in for more than 10 hours?

                    I know my pc or browsers are perfectly okay because my i can browse the net normally with my jio number as hotspot. The problem starts the moment i change my hotspot to airtel number in my dual sim smartphone.
                    I expect this to be resolved as soon as possible otherwise there's a storm coming your way.

                          I recharged on 20th july 2017 amount to 399 that said to benefit me with 1gb 3g or 4g data per day. But this was nowhere mentioned that it is only for 4g phones. Now i am not able to use internet as neither do i possess 4g phone or sim. This is wrong to cheat customers by providing incomplete or wrong information. Now either benefit me with the mentioned plan or refund back the money.

                                Last week i had traveled to malaysia and had preferred to take airtel international roaming pack of rs 1199 on my mobile number over matrix international sim card but what a bad decision it was and my whole trip was spoiled because of airtel. I had activated rs 1199 ir pack on 20th july where i was supposed to get 3 gb data on international roaming but data never ever worked in malaysia. Airtel customer care number also did not work in malaysia. I enabled data roaming and tried all settings but it never worked. I even paid 20 ringgits to a local mobile shop to check all the settings and try on different handsets but that also did not work and it was confirmed that it was not enabled by airtel. I spent so much time on first day on all this but all in vain.

                                I had not booked any travel package for whole week as i had planned to user uber taxi which is much cheaper in malaysia but because of lack of mobile data i was not able to use and i ended up paying 3 times more to local taxis most of the time and i ended up wasting extra time in getting the taxis. I even could not visit all the places which i had planned because of lack of data roaming. For all the people with whom i has interacting on whatsapp / skype call for personal and business, i ended up paying very huge price as i had to make all regular calls from other number because of lack of data roaming.

                                I also could not complete my other business work because of lack of internet and ended up in so much trouble during my trip. I paid you rs 1199 to enable data roaming and then on top of that you deducted rs 99 as rental (That is also not correct) but i could never use it any time in my trip and all my plans were spoiled because of you. If we are paying for a service it is supposed to work as we build our plans on top of that but it never worked.

                                So, please refund rs 1199 and rs 99 which i paid and also refund rs 25000 for all problem i had to face because of you and extra expenses that i incurred because of this.

                                  I have requested to port my number [protected] from airtel maharashtra to west bengal circle.
                                  I got a message yesterday that sim will be ported at night.
                                  Now i am not getting network on both the sims and people who call me get an answer that number does not exist.

                                  Please resolve this as i am facing many issues. I am unable to contact customer care as i am staying at college campus in kharagpur.
