I reequested Airtel people to transfer my prepaid number to postpaid as i use mobile phone a lot and recharging the mobile is a kind of hassels for me as i travel a lot so i decided to transfer the number to postpaid i got a call from them explaining all the plans and all then they sent a represantative to me for collecting the required documents for transfer and promised me it will hardly take 3 to 4 days to transfer i told them my problem as well that i wouldn't be in the city so they suggested me to carry the sim card which they gave me at the time of collecting me documents that it can be activated anytime but there was no change and i asked them quite sometime about my transfer of the services and they went on teeling me that it shouldn't take anything more than 3 to 4 days to transfer as you are an existing customer but nothing happend as disscussed and its now almost 10 days and no action has been taken yet to transfer the number and they are not even bother to contact me to tell that when it will be done and they haven't even provided me any number to contact them to know the status of the transfer.

Hello Airtel Team,

Please find below is the email received from Justrechargeit.in regarding the
Mobile recharge that I did for Rs. 254.00/- which reflects in your system as
Rs. 250.00 only.

We recharged yesterday for Rs. 254.00 and we did not receive this amount in our
main balance. Customer service informed that it went into some suspension
account (Account 11 and 2 as mentioned by one of your supervisors). Your system
has given us 3 facilities for our recharge for Rs. 254.00

1. 100 minutes of Talktime.
2. 500 Free SMS for 1 month
3. 500 MB free Internet usage.

NOW MY QUESTIONS FOR U AIRTEL

1. I did not ask for any Special recharge, so why did your system take it as a
SPECIAL RECHARGE and why your system shows the recharge amount as only Rs.
250.00.

2. I have already have 100 SMS Free per day in my existing Plan, then whats the
use of giving me another 500 SMS free for one month.

3. I am using a Blackberry Handset, so this 500 MB Internet usage is of no use
for my handset because I do not have BB service.

I spoke to 7 different people in your Customer Care which includes 3 CSRs, 3
Floor Managers and 1 Manager. Not a single person was able to give me a
RESOLUTION and no one was speaking as if they have willingness to assist a
customer.

Yesterday 22/02/2013, immediately after the recharge, I called your CS team and
informed my concern. THEY ASSURED ME THAT THE AMOUNT WHICH I RECHARGED WOULD BE
TRANSFERRED TO MY MAIN BALANCE BY 24/03/2013.

Today 23/03/2013, all my SMS and my Calls started Re. 1 (where in I has free
sms and 1 paisa/sec plan). So I called your CS team again at around 10.45 AM
and spoke to one of the female Floor Supervisor. She was unable to resolve my
concern and transferred the call to the Floor Manager. I WOULD LIKE TO MENTION
THAT THIS WAS THE LONGEST HOLD THAT I HAVE EXPERIENCED IN MY ENTIRE LIFE TIME
WHEN CONTACTING ANY CUSTOMER SERVICE. THIS LADY PUT ME ON HOLD FOR ALMOST 20
MINS WITHOUT EVEN REFRESHING ME EVEN ONCE (BASIS CALL ETIQUETTE OR HOLD
PROCEDURE FAILURE).

After such a long hold, finally a Floor Manager attended my call and as usual
even he was on help and started telling me the same old story that I listened
from the CSRs. He bluntly replied me "WE CANNOT GIVE THIS AMOUNT TO YOUR MAIN
BALANCE, AS WE ARE GIVING YOU OTHER 3 BENEFITS FOR YOUR RS. 250"

My Question is "What will I do with your 500 SMS as I already have 100 SMS free
per day".

The Floor Supervisor assured me that I can use the Internet Service on my
Blackberry though I dont have BB Service (Here basically a Floor Supervisor is
not aware how Blackberry works). So this 500 MB Internet service is of no use
for me.

So for paying Rs. 254.00, I am getting only Rs. 60 worth talktime and nothing
else.

And even after telling the recharge amount as Rs. 254.00, your people keep on
telling its only Rs. 250. So Iam forwarding the below email for your kind
reference.

Please look into this and take appropriate action. Will also forward a copy of
the same to the higher authorities as well.

      For the past week since Thursday, 30th of June, My Airtel broadband 2 mbps service has been down. The modem is unstable and i had earlier called airtel customer care to file a complaint. A local technician checked the line and claimed it was fine. The problem persisted and i later contacted the technician who said he had informed the local line man to check my line. Airtel had assured me that my issue would be resolved by 3rd July but it is already the 7th and there is no solution yet given to me. The technician claims he cannot do anything till the line man arrives. Please look into this matter.

        This is to inform general public on blatant display of negligence, unprofessional attitude by AIRTEL.

        My phone number is [protected] and I had been using this phone number since last 4-5 years (Earlier it was a different account Number:[protected]. I had been paying my bills regularly. When this phone was out of country for 3 months during Jan’2011, I had enquired about the procedure for safe custody of 3 months. He thought of it as a disconnection request. The Customer care junkie (Mohd Asik) was so incompetent that he could not understand simple English also. I then again immediately sent a mail clarifying that it’s not a disconnection request. I then got the reply from same officer (Mohd Asik) that the disconnection request has been cancelled and Asik sent the options for safe custody. See below for details. Still, he went ahead and terminated the connection and i faced lots of issues with that. If you see below, you can clearly understand the mistake of Airtel’s officer.


        TO MY SURPRISE, AIRTEL went ahead and put that number in gold premium category seeking additional revenue of 1500 from prospective clients including me. It clearly shows that Airtel indulged in the act of cheating and unfair trade practice. All my appeals to Appellate, Nodal officer went in vain and after that thanks to the intervention of a senior Airtel officer, I got my issue resolved. The connection was restored wef 22nd March.

        NOW AGAIN, I am told that this number is barred due to failure of the verification of change of address request. This despite the fact that I NEVER REQUESTED FOR ANY CHANGE OF ADDRESS. I was told by Airtel’s customer care executive that they visited my address on 22nd/23rd/24th April in the afternoon (between 2-4 PM) and were able to talk with security who told them that we are indeed living there for more than 2 years. It was disconnected as they could not meet me, First of all, they came on their own without any notice during day time. Airtel should understand that we are working professionals and our office hours are 8 AM - 8 PM and they will not find us during office hours if you come without any prior notice. I was never notified over e-mail also and it was abritrarily disconnected.

        In the meantime, My husband also went out of country in April for few weeks and was shocked to find it disconnected when he returned. When we raised this issue, we again encountered MR. ASIK (remember the junkie earlier), who blatantly told that we have to go for new connection. He had the audacity to tell me that despite the fact that Airtel is still holding my security deposit against that number, so how can they allot the number to somebody else?


        I also asked them to provide me the proof that i had requested for address change at any point of time. Also, I asked them to send me the relevant clauses in the agreement, which tells about the disconnection procedure and how they intimated me before disconnection. I didn’t get any notification where as I was getting other emails from Airtel (bills etc). THERE IS NO REPLY TO THAT TILL DATE.


        I am sure that they are again doing this for getting some more money out of it. We need to collectively expose them in media so that people are aware of the standard of their customer service.

        I AM ALSO GOING TO FILE A COMPLAINT AGAINST THEM IN TRAI AS WELL BEFORE GOING TO CONSUMER COURT.

        - I was told by your customer care executive that they visited my address on 22nd/24th April and were able to talk with security who told
        them that we are indeed living there for more than 2 years. It was disconnected as they could not meet me, First of all, they came on their

I then got the reply from same officer that the disconnection request has been canceled and Asik sent the options for safe custody. See below for details. Still, the connection was terminated and i am facing lots of issues with that. If you see below, you can clearly understand the mistake of your officer.


        I tried to reach CC numerous times and every time i am hearing a new story, new Action items for me - Ranging from depositing 1500, submit fresh application, somebody says that its now a gold premium number so i need to deposit 2000/-. Pls have a look at this.
        I am really pissed off now and am planning to send a legal notice tommorow afternoon. Before taking that route, I thought of seeking your help.

        I need this connection by EOD today failing which i will initiate further actions on this regard. Request your quick response for this as soon as possible. I have never defaulted in any of my payments and I was surprised to see this kind of treatment from your side.

        On 29.01.2011 I requested aritel customer care to 'Temporary suspend' two of my corporate mobile connections. Reference number for the same is[protected]/[protected]. Please see below the mail conversation.

        I got reply on the same day for the same to pay my due bills for one of the connection. At the same time both the connections were permanently disconnected assuming it was 'cancellation' request. I clearly mentioned 'Temporary suspension'.

        Then I replied back to confirm what I have meant and what airtel customer care have understood(I asked for temporary suspension and Airtel understood as permanent cancellation) for which I received reply on same day that you have 'cancelled' the 'cancellation' request. If this is the case then why both the connections are disconnected permanently?

        Now today, when I enquired again that I want to re-use one of my corporate mobile connection [protected] customer care executive told me that number has been permanently disconnected and 300/- security deposit has been credited back to me. This number is available as of now although.
        Also he informed me that I have to go for fresh connection and deposit 500/- as security for the fresh postpaid connection. Reference number[protected].

        Why should I go for fresh connection if already I asked for 'temporary suspension' and not 'permanent cancellation'?

        It is airtel's fault that they misunderstood and acted on cancellation rather than temporary suspension. Also airtel did not even bother to wait and confirm on request on full payment of bills so that connection can be temporarily suspended.


        Please note I am currently not in Bangalore and am out of town for official visit. So please initiate the 're-connection' of this corporate mobile connection from your side ASAP.

        Please note again this request is for mobile number [protected] ONLY.

        I have taken both the connections approximately 5 years back from airtel and till date I never had any complaints. But this incident is extremely outrageous and leads to breach of trust between a customer and airtel corporation as a whole. I am in urgent need of this mobile connection [protected] and I can not used it because of this misunderstanding on which airtel customer care has acted.

        I currently hold total of 5 airtel mobile connections which tells you how much belief I had in airtel. But this incident is deeply disappointing which leads me to re-think my decision to stick with Airtel.

          Hi,

          I had got Airtel IPTV installed with the IPTV 1098 plan. I requested for ESPN Top Up (ESPN + Star Cricket + Star Sports) on 1st July. ESPN and Star Cricket were activated, but Star Sports was not activated. I called many times (everyday twice or thrice from 1st July till date) at the Airtel Complaint number -198 and even emailed their email id - [protected]@airtel.in many times. But everytime I called these people said that my complaint would be resolved shortly or within 24 hours, but to no effect.

          I am tired of calling them and had even requested for disconnection of my IPTV connection. But these people haven't done anything till now on that request even. Calling them again and again has been a mental torture for me now. They just keep you on long holds and come up with the same reply that it will beresolved.

          I have given up the hope that this channel will be activated ever and am not sure what to do next.

          Please look into this matter and take some stern action against Airtel IPTV.

            I have a number [protected]. i have recharegd this phone today twice for 333 rupees and now i have a balance of over Rs.600. I am trying to activate the Blackberry monthly plan for Rs.399 and the same is not happening. i called the customer service number [protected]. I was kekpt on hold by 2 different people at various times during the day and I had suffered a time loss of about 20 minutes and also Rs.20 of talking simply calling you useless customer service number without any resolution to my problems. I really wonder how Airtel can be so irresponsive to customers. Is it their Audacity that they have a good customer base and they dont care however disrespect they show to customer?? Anyways shame on this company which is headed by a great man!!!

                I have a registered mogile number [protected] with Airtel. I had applied for the DND service last year, but till now I have not seen any effect. I am regularly getting pesky messages ranging from property dealers to shapping and so on. I have registered compalints 4-5 times for this to Airtel customer care number but all what they do is give me a complaint number and ask me the ID and time of the SMS messages that I got. They do it all the times and then give me a date for stopping these SMS. Now I would like to know how you are going to stop these messages. I have got a lot of assurances from your airtel customer care but no solution. The height of this non implementation is when your customer care executives tell that they can only register complaints to the concerned companies bu they cannot stop these SMS. I think I need to take some legal help for this issue. You people are responsible for every call and message that we recieve and now you people only tell me that you cannot stop these services even after registering for DND. Le me know if it is out of your control so that I could take this matter further but then dont complain for the consequences.



                I hope you got my message. Stop these SMS or wait to get booked as I know the legal options well

                  i have activated do not disturb service on my AIRTEL no. [protected] still i was getting the sms on my number for which i complained to customer care. they said that my complaint will be solved by 16 june 2011 by 6 p.m (complaint no. CDRGB[protected])
                  but it was not solved by due date . i again made a complaint om 18 june 2011(complaint no. 265754) and they said it will be solved in next 48 hours but it was not solved again.

                  i have given them the third reminder ( complaint no. 265754) still it was not solved .

                  on my 4th and last reminder customer care transfered my line to their senior officials and i have given them the full details of the sms and mr. harpreet sandhu promised me that my problem will be solved by 1st july by 1.30 p.m and still it has not been solved .

                  inspite of giving 4 reminders and the full details of the sms customer care is not willing to help and till date i am getiing the messages of builders and sauna belts .

                  i am waiting for your help and guidance

                  Airtel — DND Service and Billing

                  I was using prepaid Airtel Number - [protected], which I later on converted into Billing on 20th Jan 2009. My connection got activated after 2 days on 22nd. Before converting this number from prepaid to postpaid, I have raised the request to stop the unwanted calls and sms (DND service) on 28th August 2008. I sent the SMS on the told number in the required format and received confirmation sms that this service will be activated in next 45 days. But its more than 150 days (5 Months), still I am receiving all those unwanted SMS and Calls – Not Only During Day time but also, at night 2’0 clock and 3’o clock. I called many a times to 121 and spoke to N number of agents from your call center, but every time, those agents simply release the call saying that “I will check, please be on line” or “let me connect me to our supervisor”. Everytime, I am promised the call back in next 24 hours from the time I call on 121, but till date, no one has called me.



                  Finally, I got to speak to Jhonson, - (who claimed that he was a Supervisor / Team Leader) and told him what I am going though, but as usual, he promised the callback and never turned back. My billing Cycle is 6th of every month, and I was told that I will receive the bill by 10th of every month. Today its 18th, I haven’t received any bill. Finally one of my friend told that I can also check the same from the website. To my surprise, once again one issue. Rs 84 were charged extra as Value Added Service, I tried calling once again on 121, and again one issue – my number was blocked on 121, everytime, I call, I get an Automated Voice – “Please send AIRTEL on 121 for any queries”, so I called from my friends number, and got this 84 Rs Waived off after having a waste discussion of 30 minutes. I explained him the entire story which he should tell me. This shows how efficient your agents are…..



                  After having this billing issue fix, I asked for Supervisor, once again, as usual, agent placed my call on hold saying that I will transfer the call, but I was on line for 1 hour listening to that stupid recording, but no one came online.
                  i use airtel mobile no [protected]. i am registered under do not disturb me call for the past two years. even though sam and calls used to come. in the last 4 months trice i made a complaint to custmer care trough phone and gave all the details they have asked and every time they they assured me that they will solve my problem. but not resolved. the last time when i made complaint i talked to supervisor ms malar and she gave the complaint no as:[protected] and asured me to give time upto 18/02/11 and she will she that i will be disturbed. but all waste. still i am geting the sms and calls. now i am bringing to your notice to take action on this

                  I'm facing the same problem. My DND ID S[protected] which was resistered on Feb 23 2011. I still received ad calls and msges from [protected]@TF, LM-SOLDINGO, I complained to the Airtel call centre to escalate the problem again. Customer complaint number:[protected] they said it'll be resolved by July 7 12noon. But still I'm getting promo msges and calls from airtel itself.

                  Can someone please let me know if I can register some legal proceedings against Airtel for the customer calls.

                          I am very much upset with this employee from retention department of Bharti airtel. Her name is Lata Soni

                          She called me on 29th June 2011 from her work no to discuss regarding my outstanding bill amount of rs 3900. There was some billing problems which she actually accepted and asked me to settle the amount to Rs 2400. I paid the amount of Rs 2400 and gave her the receipt number the very next day. She agreed that she will send me the settlement papers that will avoid the legal notice. on sunday i receieved legal notice and when i called her up, she did not recieve my calls, nor she called me back. Even if i could get hold of her, she would talk for 1-2 minutes and immediately would hung up on me. After 2 days of trying, she finally picked up and then she says that you did not pay the settlement amount. I said "What"? i paid Rs 2400 as we discussed and then you told me that you will provide me the settlement paper". She blatantly lied to face that we agreed on Rs 2900 and for this reason she was not able to release the settlement paper.

                          I just want to point out here that this is such an unprofessional behavior showed by Airtel employee and also from the customer service people. This attitude will not help Airtel to grow.

                                i have recieved a messege on 28/06/2011 that described you have been charged rs. 99 for java games. than i called customer care executive named amol.he told me in abusive language and told that they can do anything about that and he activated 4 more services on my number and detect 233 rs again than i called again customer care excutive named yogendra and i told him everyting and i told also that i want to talk nodal officer than he connect the call to senior supervisor mr. mithilesh than he gave me a number of nodal officer and send my request to company and refrence id is CHTWC[protected]
                                than i called nodal officer on 29/06/2011 named nidhi and she told me that i forward your request to company and request id is cbnra[protected] she promised me that they give solution and refund my money till 01/07/2011.
                                even i recieved about 5 messeges from company that described""your service number cbnra[protected] has been resolved" but problem is not solved and my money is also not refund.
                                now today 05/07/11 i hv recieved one message that"your games club subsciption is active at rs 5 per day"
                                i have detected total rs. 332 and i have recieved refund only 135 rs.means totl sum of 197 is still due and company didnt gave any description about that.
                                please give me solution for this problem.

                                I (Vijay Kumar) holder of the air tel card [protected] would like to tell you that airtel unnecessarily detect our money in pretext of some or other way.

                                They add unncessary msgs to our number and detect our money. Its not only me but all the customer of airtel. Whenever I go to complain about it in air tel gallery, i can see lots of people complaning the same.

                                Air tel is looting their own customer. Please take action against them

                                Airtel — unauthorised money detection

                                we are reciving unwanted messages ,they had send messages for fun time wallpapers,jokes,they said if you don't want you can unsubsribe by sending unsub wal to 56060.so we sent that ,but they have taken money of 10,3,or even 99 rs.they have send you have sucess fully unscribed ,but also taken money every times.my no. is [protected]

                                Airtel — without any reason detection of money

                                I am going to the consumar cort against the Airtel company because many times unknowingly they detect the money. I recharged my mobile with 50 rupees on dated[protected] at 11:40 AM and I got near about 41 or 42 rupees but whole money was detected by the company peoples without any reason and my balance was zero. Again next day I recharged with 50 rupees on dated[protected] at 10:16 AM and they also detect the money on same day and my balance was zero again. For both cases I called the custmor care and they ensured me that money will be return back within 2 days means upto[protected] but I did not get the money. As I told to the custmor care person, if I will get the money than I will go against you in the consumer cort and they said yes you can go if money will not return back.
                                now I am going to do the case against the Airtel Company in the consumer cort.

But sir I am complaning you that time to time without any reasion company persons detecting the money from customers account.                                   I'm facing the same problem from two days. My outgoing facility got blobked. PH: [protected] When i called customer care repeatedly 3 times, i got 3 diff answers. 1) Change mobile and try, but it didn't work. 2) Sim validity expired, but its showing till 2037 3) Need submission of documents, but no call about this.

                                  Finally i found tat my outing facility is automatically blocked. When i checked with barring facility out going calls status, its says activated. I tried using 1234 password, but it says, password blocked. I tried using same sim in anohter mobile, its the same.

                                  May i get the proper solution as soon as possible at praveen.[protected]@gmail.com.

                                    I have purchase Gfive G9900i mobile on 20 june 2011. First i insert airtel prepaid card mobile no. [protected] and start to use. I receive sms - Thankyou for your registration from 58558 on 25.06.2011 01.24 AM and 25.06.2011 01.59 PM without sending any request and balance deducted Rs 3 per sms. At present my balance is Rs 0. Then i stop using this Airtel prepaid card and start using Vodafone prepaid card mobile no. [protected] but i receive again sms - Thank you for your registration from 58558 on 03.07.2011 03.41 PM without sendig or using any request and balnce drducted Rs. 3 again. Balance deducted from my both prepaid card must be credited to my above mentioned card as early as possibe and shoud not deduct balance in future.

                                    vodafone has been deducting 11 rupees per week from my account in the name of a sms service.
                                    their ussd number shows that no such sms service is activated on my number.
                                    when i call to their customer care they wont listen and disconnect my call.
                                    they have deducted around 50-60 ruppees. when i initially reported about the problem they said i will be refunded but instead they deducted more of my money.

                                      Hello,according to me the airtel is the most inferrior quality service provider,that they will cheat all the customers at every time....as i know that they will deduct your balance in your account automatically without informing you, when you has enough balance......so pl be care full about thet this nonsense airtel, there network coverage is good,but service is very very poor compared to all other providers.......for example recently i had recharged 30 rs my airtel sim....nextday balance only 0.70........when i asked with customer care there answer is you ARE ACTIVATED HELLO TUNES....how it is activated without any info/message? ther answer is it is by flash msg.........are you agree this....am a software engineer, am using sony ericcson model from 5 years still now i didnt get any flash msg on that............they took my complaint also...no response after 1 week....complaint get deleted..............not only for me................most of the my friends had faced this problem, some will care about these problem,but most of them simply leave these matter....its quiet serious. thats why i spend my time to publish over here........now portability makes you to solve this problem easily......so i changed my service provider to other one...........

                                      I am venkat from kadapa,A.P mobile no:[protected]....i am not receving postpaid bill for Particular month still date also ...this is my fourth complaint after that recently i recevie sep,augest bills..and october,november bill i am receive without airtel cover from SDL COURIER SERVICE...same i ask to courier boy means he is taking unparlamentry words ON ME... MY SERVICE IS SAME YOU COMPLAINT ANY WHERE I AM NOT BADAR...In my postpaid bill lot of important contact is there ..pls care this type of isueesss and send me bill particular date..otherwise i put complaint in consumer court...pls take care about this issueee

                                      Hi,

                                      I am facing lot of problems using airtel. When I complained about this they blocked the customer care service for number. They know that they have done a mistake but they don’t admit it, instead they provide some silly or nonsense reasons and if the customer is not satisfied they extend the resolution time to some day and so on till the customer is fed up and drop this issue.
                                      I have followed up one issue for almost 2 yrs but no resolution was provided finally I got fed Up and waiting for my balance to finish so that I can port out to the other service provider.

                                      I am a electronics engineer working on telecom domain for past 3 yrs and these guys try to fool me around. If this is the case with us what will be the condition of the general public.

                                        Please help me to resolve my issue.

                                        we given request for closing of our broadband and telephone line with airtel on february 2011 for closing the broadband services, But it has been 5 months now and still my connection has not been closed and everytime i talk to their customer support i am assured that my connection will be closed but still my connection has not been closed and now a customer care representative called me and said i have to pay 466 in order to close the connection and requested me to keep the connection open.i told them i was told the connection was closed i also paid the due amount after request for termination in march.and was told the connection is now closed.even customer service confirmed that the request was iven in feb and the due amount was paid and said they will look into it and they never called back and now their billing section says i have to pay rs466 to close the connection.but why should i pay as i have not even used their services since february.even customer service checked my recordes and varified this.

                                        so please help me to resolve this issue.
