I attended a loyalty program conducted by club mahindra at Hilton, chennai on 24.02.2019. During the course of the program i was convinced to pay through VISA card Rs. 10, 530/- towards the down payment of the membership. The sales executive Mr. Sanjay, had promised me that, if i wished to terminate my membership i will be eligible for 100% refund within a weeks time.
Later on, I was not interested in the membership since i already had one with another club. Then i contacted him and requested him for the cancellation and refund of the said amount which i paid already. He tried to convince me to continue on the membership, but since i wasn't interested i asked him to proceed with the cancellation. He further agreed on the same and promised that the amount will be refunded within 10 working days.
And, now its been more than a month and still no one contacted or tried to provide me with a solution. The so called executive Mr. Sanjay said he was on sick leave and gave me another number of one of his executives Mr. Umar. Both of them never pick my calls and even the mails which i have sent to club Mahindra and the executives have not replied till date.
It is very saddening to note such a big organisation is committing false promises and because of this the reputation is very bad. Being a hospitality based industry the hospitality showed towards the process is shameful and terrific. I regret to say this kind of statement.
I once again request the management to look into my issue and provide me with a solution at the earliest or i will escalate this issue to consumer forum.

    We had purchased club mahindra membership thinking it would be useful for us to go on holidays without any tension. But all we got was tension only. They don't have enough available rooms in resorts. They keep updating their policies for their own good. They have lots of rules which put the customer at a disadvantage.in 2 years i have been to just 2 holidays. They charge a fixed amount at first, but then they also charge an annual subscription fee (Asf) which they will charge even if we visit the resorts or not. The asf is charged rs. 14700/- in 2019. It keeps increasing every year. Imagine having to pay that on top of the initial payment of around 3-4 lakhs. If you book a good resort by yourself it will cost you the same amount as the asf you pay. I'm going to cancel my membership.

      Sub: cancellation of club mahindra membership and refund thereof reg.-

      Ref: name of applicant: sachin mundada (Payment made on 23.02.19)

      This is with reference to application made for proposed membership and subsequent cancellation of same.

      I was willing to take membership and swap my card for rs.5000/ on machine brought by your representative. But after various reviews and feedback from close relatives and friends, i have decided to cancel my membership and communicated to your representative about the same.

      Following are some brief facts, sequence of events in relation to my experience with your esteemed company: -

      · when your person wanted to sell the proposed plan he was chasing me like anything and making 10-15 calls in day for meeting and convincing me about buying of plan

      · he informed that after cancallation within 10 days refund amount will be credited.

      · now, when i informed him that i do not want to continue with the plans, he made all the efforts possible to convince me and insisted me to continue with plan and explain me various benefits associated with the plan. Once, he realised that i am not interested, he changed drastically and his earlier sober /polite behaviour changed completely. Now, he was not picking up phone and not bother to respond to my mails also. Only when i threatened him that i will lodge compliant, then he responded and told that due to his personal reason he was not able to respond.

      Now, i am chasing him for my refund but they are telling that atleaast 20 days will be required when more than 45 days has already over

      I have never expected this type of rude/shocking behavior from mahindra. Till date i have very high regards for your brand but after seeing your services i think i have done good job by not continuing with your plan.

      Following are my concerns with your people/plans:

      Your representative are not telling customer all the conditions and mis-selling the plans to customer very aggressively

      Your loosing trust among customer due to no response or very poor response from your executive once the cancellation has been done by customer

      · no definite plan/deadline about refund of amount after cancellation

        2/4/2019 in hotel imperial blue bhiwani haryana your executive mr. Rohit sharma mob.[protected] misguided me about holidays package i travel 100km to meet them they haven't ask for water. When i tell them you have gave wrong information on my mobile number they misbehaved and they forced to leave hotel with my children in hot sunny day till my cab come. All this disturb my mental state i waste my time and money. You are a big brand in this sector such type of guy spoiling the name of club mahendra. So plz take necessary action against him. Am dr.           This is to inform you that i have joined membership for club mahindra holidays on 03.03.2019 having membership id 2858768.in this connection an amount of rs.24500/- was debited twice on 05.03.2019 from my hdfc credit card as membership fee.

          After that i was told by your sales person that extra amount of rs.24500 was debited erroneously and it will be refunded within 2-3 days.

          But i am surprised to note that even after lapse of almost 1 month, the aforesaid amount has still not been refunded till date.

          I have mailed several times but no one bothers to even respond to those emails.

          So you are advised to refund rs. 24500 on immediate basis and also close my membership.

          I do not want to continue relationship with such a worse company as of yours where customer service is pathetic and no one is there to resolve the problems of the customers. If i am facing such problem in the starting period of my membership, then god knows what i will have to face later.

          Therefore you are requested to refund my whole money and close my membership.

              I had put a complaint earlier on this forum that the Club Mahindra was not cancelling my membership despite of many follow-ups.

              After my complaint on this forum they contacted me on October 27th, 2018 (almost 35-40 days after I requested to cancel my membership) and informed that my membership has been cancelled and that I will get my refund within 100 working days.

              The refund was not deposited till March 28th 2019; so I followed up with them thru email.

              They shamelessly informed me on Saturday March 30th that it will take another 12-15 working days more to refund my money.

              This is utter unprofessional from Club Mahindra and also a clear case of breach of trust and commitment.

              I have since sent them two emails and have sent a facebook message as well. They never took pain to reply to my emails; however one lady did called me today morning and assured me that she will connect with me by today (April 2nd, 2019) evening. I still have not got any call from her or Club Mahindra.

              Lastly, it is frustrating to know that “Mahindra Holidays & Resorts India Limited”, part of the reputed Mahindra group can be so insensitive to its members & hopes to build its business over unsatisfied customers.

              Is there someone listening and could help me with what my next steps should be?

                My membership number is 2831688. The sales person name is vinodh and he gave lot of false promises and didn't allow me to read the documents as the documents were handed over to me after paying initial amount of 36k and remaining in 48 installments. He told me that at any point of time, i can cancel my membership if i don't like the service and all money will be refunded any time. I waited for 3 weeks with no membership id and i got frustrated as they never replied on the same. I called several times and decided to cancel my membership by calling customer experience. After one month, another sales person named sudheesh called me and asked for an appointment. He came to my home and requested me to continue the membership and he also confirmed that i will get full refund if i cancel anytime. He told me that he will take a special care on my membership and requested me saying vinodh (1st sales guy) will loose his job if i continue to cancel. He collected all cheques. I asked him to deposit the cheques starting novemeber but he deposited the cheque in october itself despite several reminders. I am very much disappointed with the service and cancelled my membership on october 14th, 2018. There was no response from club mahindra side and i went in person to their office in chennai. I met a person swapna and a sales team head. They apologized me saying that both the sales persons gave false commitments to achieve their sales target. Also they told me that they will get a special approval to refund all my money (46k - 36k advance + 1 emi). I have recorded complete conversation for safety. Its almost 3 months completed now and there was no call or email from their side. Whenever i call them, either they ignore my call or say email sent for approval. I want my money back. I will release all the audio calls between me and club mahindra staffs.in the conversation they agreed its their fault and try to refund my money back. I already raised this complaint but the status show its resolved. This is not resolved.

                Club mahindra chennai(thameem) told me that they will give an vacation as a goodwill and now they don't even take the call .What a unprofessional way Club mahindra treat their customer.This issue is not resolved and i want to take this up to the ceo/chairman.How cruel this marketing staffs are and i cannot digest the way they cheated me and keeping silent as if they don't know any thing.I never expected this from a club like mahindra.

                I have the clear evidence (voice calls) from club mahindra side stating false commitments were given and now they say legally i cannot claim.As a final resort i will write the entire story with the audio evidence to the Board of directors /CEO and in social media and see what they say.You guys forced me to do this.

                    I've raken the membership of club mahindra in january firstly they were giving me all kind of attention untill i've taken the membership then i've taken the membership and now i am continuously giving emi now there agents is ignoring my call and giving me some another tourist guide no. To contact them and pay them for the stay and all other facilities with so much high rates.
                    Also ineed my money back i've already paid them 1lac as i didn't use any of there holidays and they are not picking my call also saying he is in meeting.

                      Dear Team,

                      I fail to understand how can someone be running a business with such flare for stupidity and idiocy. I made the payment for my membership renewal of Rs. 14, 577/- on 14th March, 2019. But when I called yesterday I was informed no such payment has been done. I sent the Bank account transaction details, yet on calling today I am told the email is not visible so send it in a PDF format. They have not provided me with any transaction ID and on calling keep asking for it. When you have failed to perform me such details how do you expect me to provide it back to you?
                      Furthermore I am supposed to travel to dwarka on 30th March, 2019, I was told by their executive the date has been blocked, on receiving my mail of payment they will confirm it. Today on calling the Club Mahindra Resorts I get to know the rooms have been released to someone else.
                      Please tell me Sir, How can a 63 Year old lady manage in a situation like this? where am I supposed to sleep? on the road?
                      I make the payment yet have to pay for another hotel?
                      This practice is not just one of their many scams, the next is-
                      you call one day and say you need the booking for 15th May-20th May, 2019. It will so happen the rooms will be available for 15-18 and 19-20th May there is no availability. But online or in google you can find the availability for the rooms at different prices. Being a member we are supposed to pay a certain sum so that we do not need to worry about our travel holidays but Mahindra has not made it a practise to trouble its customers and extort money from them.
                      I would like to attach the detail of one of my grievances episode with them where I paid double the amount and purchased an upgraded season on the executives advise but it all turned out to be fraud. That executive is still working, no action has been taken nor was I ever apologized too for all the problem faced by me.
                      Kindly look into the matter and help us.

                        I am a club mahindra member (Red, studio). I would like fellow reader note that asf money which is yearly maintenance changes of club mahindra keeps on increasing every year and availability of rooms decreases every year. I had lot of holidays lapsed and struggle to utilize just 7.00 days of holiday in year as rooms are either not available when you want or you cannot book more than one room (One room has capacity of only 3 people). So you can go only three people at a time. Usually people of at least 4-5 go when it is family holiday. Take this holiday only if you are super rich, can keep upgrading your member ship and pay every increasing asf.

I think you make fool to ur customer. Dont give gift voucher to anyone that never been reedem. I was think to get membership of yours after experience at ur resort through your gift voucher.                             My membership no is 340594. My name is kamlesh a talati. I bring to your kind notice that club mahindra ahmedabad branch phone no is +[protected] is always busy. I tried nearly 65 times during 3 days period. This is painful. Who will solve member's complaints if no body pick up the call. When we send complaint via email, we get automated reply. So how can members issue be solved? No calls from club mahindra as a courtesy also? They only fetch money from members?

                            Only 1 call received today. But every executive is telling that we are forwarding your complaints. Till date, nothing has been resolved. Phone of Ahmedabad office is always busy. Kindly take up the Executive of Club Mahindra Holidays. We see a lot of complaints on consumer forum ? This damages the image of Club Mahindra. At lease Executive should intervene the matter and resolve the issue
                            I have cancelled my membership since last month 22nd Feb'19 but still is did not get any conformation for cancellation . i didn't get my refund, while calling its no no replay frequently. I have called several times during this period but not get satisfied answer. ID 2856393

                              Hi,

                              I have the membership of Club Mahindra. My member ID is 2686240.

                              I am planning to book a holiday in mid June 2019 but your customer care executive told me that i need to pay the whole amount of ASF i.e. 43722.
                              At the time of taking that membership I have been told that i need to pay ASF for the same year in which i use the service or plan a holiday in your resort. Now the customer care executive is saying that i need to pay the total amount without which i can not avail the service.
                              My point is- why you people didn't told me at the time of membership sale, and why should i pay for the service i didn't used ????

                                I want to bring your attention about the false promises made by the representative & manager of club mahindra.

                                I have had the worst experience with your sales representatives who are nothing less than looters. Inspite paying full payment in one go last year in july. I have been fooled by your cheap representatives whom i am just making calls to get my promised deals. But they are such shameless people who have no qualms in making a senior citizen go through such hell. Mind you sir its nearing a year and i haven’t availed or used a single benefit of being the club mahindra member. My children seeing my plight have been only following up for what i was promised in complete respect, but each time there reverts have been a mockery to me as if i am some begger. Had i not payed them the amount i would digest that these guys are least bothered but the entire amount has been payed and still the refuse to pick calls. I wonder that a brand like u is sitting there to harass senior citizens.. My representative has just stopped taking calls since past three months. There is no hierarchy no escalation point in your organization. I have posted on twitter and the mere reply always i got is only that team will reach out to you but of no help.. Writing to you with a hope to hear some positive revert... I expect this to be resolved or refund my parents money along with the interest pertaining 10months of humiliation. (All the proofs i have are bring attached)

                                  [1]the transfer of membership by an overseas residing member was approved vied mail on dec.11th 2018. By email from mhrl chennai[mr. V seshan]
                                  [2] fully compliant details were furnished by applicant on 26th dec.2018 by email with copies to concerned transferee.
                                  [3] no acknowledgement as a business courtesy was ever received despite repeated email reminders
                                  [4] transferee [mr. P. Patni] was finally called to mhrl pune and paid full transfer fees on my behalf on 21st jnauary 2019.
                                  [5] was advised through mr. Patni to furnish kyc linked add on documents on 20th february 2019[though not defined in earlier instructions].
                                  [6]though mhrl boasts of transferring membership in one week it now 87 days despite repeated calls by mr. P. Patni to mhrl. Pune
                                  The self certifying complaint resolution is a misleading false claim.

                                  This "ghisa pita" stock e-response does not make any difference.The transferee in India Mr. P.Patni, has been in repeated contact on phone with Mhrl Pune desks-Ms.Heena. He has been given false promises for last several months. as they say,
                                  'taikh pe tarikh'. like any sarkari daftar.![Even sarkari desks are better !
                                  This BAD Experience to me is not unique to any one who is NOT a prospective buyer.! Seek end of this 'Tamaha'

                                    Dear club mahindra team,

                                    Ref : membership application feb/2018/25yrs/205868 dated 14/2/2019. From your goa branch in patto-panaji. Downpayment of rs.30, 000/- through credit card.

                                    I canceled my application on 15/2/2019 the very next day due to reasons explained to your sales manager. The hardcopy of cancellation request has been sent to goa office as well as corporate office in chennai by speedpost followed by emails to your sales managers in goa office and member relations / member experience email id. Your branch manager in goa office has informed me that he has processed my request from his side and has asked me to wait for refund. It is over 30 days now. There is no commitment of any date of refund.

                                    Note : as, i have cancelled the application immediately next day, your sales team*goaoffice has not created membership id so my email id is not registered.
                                    I had sent followup mail w. R. T. Refund to your customer care id (Memberexperience and memberrelations) but they cannot give proper reply due to unregistered email id.
                                    Hence i had to write to in this forum to draw your attention.

                                    30days is a long waiting period.

                                    I will appreciate if you can advice your team to credit my refund in next 3-4 working days. Please update me from your side.

                                      I have taken membership (Clubmahindra member id: 1388927) in my name. After one experience of a holiday; i had decided to close my membership and not expecting any refund.

                                      We paid about rs 200000. After so many calls and emails they are still reluctant to cancel it also the sales officer promised so much but after taking membership he is not even receiving our calls
                                      I felt cheated as i thought i am spending my money in the right and prestigious company but i was wrong
                                      I even do not want my money back; just close the membership is only expectations. Very disappointed. They keep sending asf due letters. And not letting me know whats formal process of closure.
