Do not buy Daikin inverter AC, this was told me by the authorized service center of Daikin and by many people, but at that time I trusted Daikin and its service but now I really got worst experience.

I purchased my Daikin inverter approximately 3 - 4 years back. I had invested 55k, in this amount I could get 2 new AC at that time, but I thought let's invest in a good brand for a one-time investment.

I know this is an electronic product and can make a problem.and now its outdoor has been stopped working on 19-june-2017. but I didn't know that this Daikin AC repair amount will be this much that I can purchase a new AC instead of Repair of an old Daikin inverter AC. I made a call to Daikin toll-free customer service center. they have sent to a local authorized service center of Daikin. he suddenly told me that your PCB of outdoor is not working and they take it with them .and told me that we will try to repair it if it will work fine then its ok otherwise we have to install new PCB which will cost you 18000 and with personalize warranty by them self. and after 10 days they came up with my old PCB and said that we have repaired it after checking it in my AC it doesn't work and now they declared that I have to purchase new PCBand they told us that maybe your fan is also damaged which will cost you around 7000. now the total amount is near 25000... and they also suggest me to convert my outdoor to the normal AC by replacing this inverter one it will cost be approx 16000.

now if this will cost a person for a repair of an AC like Daikin inverter. who would like to spend this much 1st on AC then if it will stop working half the amount of AC?

They charged me a 450rs .and I didn't receive any receipt of that payment TOO.

now I want to take a strict action among this action and I want to make people aware that they should stop buying inverter AC.

    I have buy daikin ac lasthe month but my is not working for one day. I complaint in daikin service center on last month. Now 1 month ago my ac nothen working or no service provide. Tankishion say replace ur ac but.. Dealer say i have no replace ur ac.. And abuse me.. Plz sir help me for replace my ac.. Dealer seyal electronic.. Owner say i can't replace ur ac. Sir m belong middle class family. If daikin no replace my ac i can't pyi emi.. Sir i pay 20000 down payment.. Plz help mee sir.

      After 5 years of daikin invertor purchase, ac is turning off automatically in 5 to 10 min after power on. The service engineer came and troubleshooted the problem and appear to be pcb fault. Which may cost around 16k inr. This is almost half prices of the ac actual cost. Even i am using stabilizer with dual step up should have protected with voltage fluctuations.

      Now i need to really think should i dump it or repair it? This is really surprising for me the cost of pcb boards, which i have never heard off.
      If this could have been informed the customer before purchasing it it could have been avoided to buy it that time.

        This is further to my complaint about wet cleaning service.
        After cleaning, there have been some problem with cooling. The cooling air is ice freezing even though we set the temperature as 29°c.
        We registered complaint about this (Comp no. Gha[protected]) but the reason is still unknown. The engineer visited two times and they did something but the problem is still not solved. We have to keep temperature at 30°c and fan at lowest point to make it normal. The problem started only after cleaning, before that it was working as expected.
        What is the solution for this problem and who is responsible for this?

        It is smelling very badly now that we can not switch on the AC.

          Dear sir,

          With reference to above i here by submit as under:

          1. My daikin air conditioner 1.50 ton inverter which was purchased by me in the month of august 2015 stop working due to some reqson. Dated (27.05.2017)

          2. I registered the complaint to your customer care number and they registered my complaint.

          3. On dated 29.05.2017 local service centre i. E. Vi sales told me that internal pcb damaged and to be changed. I agree for the same.

          4. Further internal pcb be change on 1.06.2017 and i paid for this rs. 5350/-.

          5. Further again my air conditioner stop working on 2.06.2017.

          6. I again complaint for this to your customer care number and they give me complaint no. I. E. Jai[protected].

          7. On 4th of june they checked my air conditioner and they told me that compressor of the ac damged and it will be changed in the service centre and they carry my air conditioner for repair.

          8. On serveral persue from my side they told me on 14.06.2017 that your air conditioner is ready and will be installed on 14.06.2017. They install it my residence and try to start air conditioner but unfortunately it was not start up and engineer told me that it should be checked by 15.06.2017 in the morning.

          9. On 15.06.2017 local service center send me another engineer and they checked my air conditioner several time by trial and error method. They check my air conditioner upto 3 hours. After that they told me that now your outer pcb has damaged and it will be change.

          10. I again raised complaint against this on your customer care and they give me another no. I. E. Jai[protected]. I chat with nisha rani i. E. Floor manager at gurugram and she told me that she is dealing your case and your air conditioner will be repaired on priorty.

          11. On 17.06.2017 again new engineer come at my residence installation place of ac and they are checking my air conditioner and still they did not find any resolution.

          Looking to above it seems that my air conditioner is not in a position to run smoothly, again. As the company has sold malfunction product to me. Now it is company liability to replace my air conditioner without any further cost.

          I am mentally tension due to this, so it is company moral liability to change my air conditioner immediately. If company will not replace my air conditioner, than i have no any option to take any action.

          So i humbly request to company for replace of my air conditioner.

            I have bought 1.5 ton split ac of daikin from bhasin brothers, begum bridge, meerut (Up) on 02/06/2016. After few days of working, the capacitor got shot, being under warranty the part was replaced but it took 2 complaints and almost 10 days, after few months again same problem arises, upon complaining, my unit was cleaned and washed properly and it was cooled down and it started working again, ac used to trip sometimes in a day, but i thought it was a normal cooling procedure. Winters arrived by this time and ac was no more used. Again in summers, it worked for 10 days hardly (With compressor tripping twice/thrice a day) and again the same problem stood there, ac started to trip several times in a day. After lodging complaint engineer told me that room temperature sensor is faulty and they replaced it, but from very same day problem was not resolved, again on re-complaining another engineer visited and i straight away demanded unit replacement/return because i was feeling like being looted for a defected unit sold, but daikin deputy manager, mr. Jitendra tiwari ([protected]) asked me to allow them to replace pcb (Circuit) and capacitor last time and moreover assured me that problem shall not arise again.

            After waiting for another hot 7 days spares were received and again the ac worked well for 2-3 days and again it started to trip once/twice a day.

            Now latest complaint was made on 13/06/2017 complaint no. 11022441, upon which the engineer visited and told me that unit has manufacturing defect and the capacitor is getting over heated thats why it is tripping. It took 1 year to trace the problem, may be they were trying to intentionally end up my warranty period, but thankfully i have registered complaints with them and 5 year compressor warranty,

            Again, mr tiwari asked the engineer to change the compressor this time, i was like dumbstruck, after replacing so many parts, you want to replace the heart of my new ac, i asked them to change my complete unit and to which their engineer agreed and said they will try their level best and get the unit exchanged.

            After 2 days of no working and no response from daikin, i myself called up amarjeet maurya, local service centre, and surprisingly, he straight away in denial mode said: "we cannot help you, you may talk to tiwari ji for future."

            I arranged his contact number and called him and he was like ignoring me during the conversation, by just replying me with hmmm hmmm and in the end he said i will discuss for the replacement (May be with his seniors) and revert, but again like their poor products their response was also poor and nobody reverted.

            Today i am so much annoyed, displeased, irrirtted and angry with product and services of daikin that i have to make the complain here.

            The motive of this complaint is not only to get justice and get replacement or better a refund, but this complaint is a warning for many other consumers who are planning to buy daikin and get trapped and thereby fooled.

            I want proper compensation for the sleepless nights of my parents, i repent gifting them daikin ac fro thier room, i was myself very worried and attacked by insomnia as i was looted for my hard earned 33000/-, i have spent so much on travelling from service centres and dealer. Dealer (Bhasin brothers) was least concerned with my issue, he never attended my phone calls and in showroom he was always busy in attending new customers and trapping them.

            Earlier your executive told me that somebody will be sent for inspection for replacement o[censored]nit after mail but it's been 48 hours of mail and no reply received from your side.

            I think nobody is taking up my case seriously, and you guys harass your customers like this only.

            Again same procedure, I receive a call from you like other days, I was assured that you will reply very soon but again nobody turns up. Your executive told me two days back that engineer will visit my place for inspection o[censored]nit and shall replace it after that. Please provide me in written, will anybody turn up or you will remain fooling your customers like this only. It's almost 40 degrees and I have already spent infinite torturing days with your defective unit. If you can't replace it, then better call this unit back, vacant my place, I shall happily switch to other reliable brand.

            I have been using Daikin 2 ton since 5 years but faced no complaint. But have heard from other customers as well that they have degraded their product's quality over years.

            Guys Go for any other brand, but Daikin. Save yourself from mental harassment. First you spend your hard earned money for buying a defective unit and now I am spending my time and money on advocates. Had no other option but to approach consumer court and drag them.

            After looking at so many complaints on this site I tried to search complaints regarding Daikin products and Their services on other web sites like mouthshut.com and complaintboard.in and I was astonished to see the number of complaints they have registered every day, month and year..
            It feels like the number of complaints are pretty much equal to the number o[censored]nits Daikin is selling every year or maybe even more as 1 customer is regiatering 4-5 complaints as they never take action in first go.
            I request all the consumers to visit these sites before buying anything from this company and take a wise decision..
            I don't see any point in providing my contact details to Daikin anymore..nobody likes to get spam calls either.
            If you can't satisfy your existing customers then better stop dreaming of new customers.
            I'm done here, I have purchased an O-general split and I'm more than happy with their behaviour and services.
            I hope your issue is soon resolved Mr.Shivam Agarwal..not much possibilities I see though looking at your case..

                    I had purchased 5 Daikin ACs - 1.5 ton inverter ACs in Oct 2016. Since installation 1 of the AC is not working. I called up the customer care many times and they send different Service engineer all the time but none has been able to resolve the issue. The guy come do gas filling and then say if you have this problem again do let me know. Again after 7 days I complaint, a new guy comes do gas refilling and says If you face this problem again do let me know... So in last 9 months I have got gas refilled 12 times and still problem persist. I have told them there is some others problem but engineers doesn't understand at all Customer care is helpless. There is no escalation matrix. If you buy a product and it doesn't work, you are stuck with it. No SERVICE SUPPORT AT ALL. I got this product from Vijay Sales Sec 18 Noida

                    they are bad at after sales service, even i am facing same kind of issue.
                    defected unit was sold to me, they have changed almost all possible parts and now they want me to change compressor of a new machine.
                    they are not doing anything to replace the unit.
                    its better you go for Mitsubishi next time, they listen to you at once, i have ordered 5 units for my factory to Mitsubishi electronics and I am very much satisfied with performance and customer support.

                    Lost my faith in Daikin, I have guided many of my peers to switch to Mitsubishi from Daikin.

                    Daikin service centre stops replying to you when they find their mistake.

                        I am very depressed from this product only in one and half year almost every thing is damged. I purchased this product beilving on daikin that there is no air conditioner in compare to daikin. But all is wrong. I never suggest to any person to purchase daikin invertor ac. Becoz in india invertor ac is not successful.

                        I request to please recall my product and change it with non invertor ac without any cost.

                        I think daikin will look this matter urgently.

                          I bought a 1 ton daikin inverter a/c on august 2015. On sunday the 28th may 2017, 22 months after purchase the a/c broke down and stopped functioning. I have 2 more a/c's from panasonic and ifb that were also running at the same time and quite old when compared to daikin. Daikin does not have a proper service set-up and assigns the calls to channel partners. I have got a quotation for rs. 5350/- to change the internal pcbs in my unit (Paid 37, 000/- for the unit 22 months back) and the service engineer says that there is no guarantee that the even after the pcbs are changed, the unit will function normally. Apparently, only after the pcbs are changed any further diagnosis is possible. I have reached out to daikin customer service multiple times ([protected]@daikinindia.com and mr. Sathynarayanan, chennai service) but haven't been able to get any support from them – they seem to be avoiding me. I am wondering if the only option is to trash this unit and by another split a/c from panasonic and ifb. When i was discussing this issue with a colleague of mine, the information that i heard was quite shocking: apparently this daikin inverter a/c failure happens frequently and 2 of his friends have faced similar issues and have to dump them. Inverter a/c’s are very sensitive to the voltage fluctuations (They have a lot of electronic circuits in them to change the speed of compressor rotation) and not suitable for indian power conditions. I am not sure whether the daikin inverter a/c's need a recall but unlike cars no one accepts manufacturing or design flaws in acs and does not do a recall. My sincere advice if you have a daikin inverter a/c is to go for a comprehensive amc which might cost around 4000/- per year and protect your interests. For people who dont have daikin a/c's, please refrain from buying daikin inverter a/c's (Or better avoid inverter models) and even for other a/c's please think twice on customer support and not go through the hassles like me by choosing daikin.                             We have given a complaint of daikin split ac for not cooling.

                            Service engineer visited and cleaned the filer which improved the air filter.

                            But the cooling is same as before.

                            After confronting your engineer, a great revelation came ahead.

                            As per him it takes 2 hours for ac to cool after cleaning the filer. Wow.

                            Not expect such type of answer from a service engineer of daikin.

                              Dear support,

                              I had procured daikin split ac from your bhubaneswar outlet (Great eastern, 22 and 22b, bapuji nagar, bhubaneswar, odisa-751009) on dated 15-october-2016. Since it was first installed it has never been used at all. Now when we start using this summer we don't see that ac is cooling at all. I have already launched a compliant in daikin customer care on dated 22-may-2017 and having complaint ticket reference# 831583. You can also search in daikin customer database using my mobile number as [protected]/[protected].

                              Probably today it will be 5th or 6th call with daikin customer care as on today dated 30-may-2017. Every time i call to daikin customer care and

                              Getting response from customer care representative as they will look into it and they will call me back but so far they did not even called me back

                              . Even i had asked the customer care representative to give your manager/service delivery person's contact email_id/mobile# but nobody is giving it to me so far. As of now they ac is still not repaired.

                              I have also personally visited great eastern shop (From where i had procured the ac) on dated 27th regarding this ac issue. Spoken to daikin sales person mr. Sarbeswar mohanty (Mobile-[protected]) and he told he has escalated the same will concerned team and get this resolved quickly.

                              As per my experience in whole transnational touch point with daikin/great eastern was gone very bad, it was totally frustrating, wasting of time and money lead to dissatisfaction.

                              I am going to file a consumer court case since this under warranty and i am not getting server from either of the vendor

                                We have requested a Dry cleaning service for Daikin AC on Saturday and requested them to do it on weekends as weekday is not possible for us.
                                Their engineer visited on Saturday but did not bring anything to do dry/wet cleaning of AC. We did not know the difference between dry and wet cleaning and as the name suggest, there should be only difference of without water/water cleaning but the engineer informed that in dry service, only indoor unit will be cleaned. While in wet cleaning, both indoor and outdoor will be cleaned.

                                We called customer care to confirm this but they do not know anything about services they offer. They simply put us on hold for around 10 mins and then gave us one number of their Chennai branch office and asked us to contact them directly. We tried several times to that number but it was not picked up. We again called customer care to confirm but they do not have any other number or information.

                                What type of customer service it is !! Seriously it is frustrating to talk to your representatives. At least they should have basic idea of services you offer.

                                At last the engineer also left as they did not bring blower or anything to clean.
                                On Sunday the request was transferred to some other service center and we tried calling them many times but the phone was not picked up.
                                The weekend is gone and service request is still pending.

                                My good luck that I did not buy second AC from Daikin. !!

                                Hello Daikin,

                                After cleaning, there have been some problem with cooling. The cooling air is ice freezing even though we set the temperature as 29°C.
                                We registered complaint about this (Comp No. GHA[protected]) but the reason is still unknown. The engineer visited two times and they did something but the problem is still not solved. We have to keep temperature at 30°C and fan at lowest point to make it normal. The problem started only after cleaning, before that it was working as expected.
                                Hope you look into this matter urgently.

                                  Well, I have not even started using an AC and already I am facing such pathetic experience with a brand like daikin. Its been more than a week that we have purchased your product and it has not yet been installed. There is literally no value of what timings customer is giving to you. Your team will work as per their convenience only. We made a request to get it installed on Saturday, took an appointment with an installation person but he, very easily, without bothering of our time, his commitments, etc., postponed it to Sunday. Not to mention I was waiting for him for the whole day at home. And if that was not enough, he has repeated it again today also and is asking me to stay at home, dont go to office on some weekday and work according to his timings. What a dilemma! I really don't know who is a customer here. Rather, I am not sure if he is serving me or asking me to serve him. Well, I know there are thousands of such grieving clients whose complaints go unheard and i am sure this would be one to those.

                                      I purchased daikin ac on 16may2017 and in just after 7 days it starded producing abnormal noice.
                                      I called customer care n registered a complaint on 23rd but still no call or any technician visited. I called them daily n they always do promise to be get serviced today. But no one visited or called.
                                      The worst customer service.

                                      I purchased this ac from reliance digital store nagpur, i already did many emails to daikin and also to reliance. but just after few days from the date i purchased, this ac showing multiple issues as - 1st indoor unit kit-kat sound, then remote not working, then outdoor noise, and now a new problem of water leakage from indoor unit also arised.

                                      The first 2 complaint of indoor unit sound and remote not working was resolved by daikin/reliance but noise issue is still not solved and a new issue of water leakage.

                                      I cant understand why the drand like daikin and reliance not replacing the product. They are repairing it again n again but after 1 solution another problem arises. And both companies wasted more than 12days of mine. If i count the cost of my work which i have to leave because of their visit, it is more than the price of this ac.

                                        Dear Daikin Team,

                                        I purchased 1.5 TR AC Model No.FTC50RRV161 from your authorized dealer of sales and service Ms. Shagun dated on 1-April2017 and installation also done by their team only.

                                        The first problem was immediately reported after installation of 5 days-Cause Gas Leakage due to which AC was not cooling (This took 5 days for rectification)

                                        The second problem I reported on 10 May 2017 (Ref No.IND[protected])which is still not attended.Problem is that compressor is not getting cut off and cooling is not appropriate.I purchased 1.5 TR AC for a room of approx 100 sq ft and I am not able to get uniform cooling and compressor is working on full load causing an excess amount of electricity bill.

                                        I want to describe Daikin in two perspectives 1) After Service 2) Product Quality

                                        After Sales Service Support:
                                        I am already having experience of two company AC Samsung & Llyod and I should say that the worst customer orientation I have found in Daikin.Your dealer and service engineer are not competent enough to solve any customer problem, they are not having desired competency skill neither in term of technical aspect nor in dealing customer complaint.
                                        They don't know what should be gas pressure in this AC model.They come to check AC without thermometer they inspect AC by waving a hand in front of AC.
                                        They are not aware of the approx cycle time (they dont know this term).They dont have air flow meter to check air flow-I dont know how they can inspect AC functioning without these equipments and basic knowledge.
                                        I am not demanding that AC should get cutoff at 16 degree but atleast it should fulfill ASHRAE standards

                                        Please ask your guys to atleast strict to company norms of customer complaint resolution time (Hope so they are aware of these terms)

                                        Now comes your toll free number-They only know single line "Your case has been esclated with high priority" there escalation is not worth while.

                                        Product Quality:
                                        Within a period of 2 months, this is my second complaint.I am already having Samsung & Llyod AC and I purchased Daikin as some of my friends suggested that product quality is good being Japanese design, but sorry to say that 1.5 TR AC is not able to cool 100 sq ft room pathetic, how can you imagine?

                                        I am not very much sure that any action will be taken by this mail as well, but I am very sorry to say if this would be the case I will definitely move to consumer forum.

                                        I request you to please give me contact details of some responsible person having technical competency to understand the issue & get rectified.
