Greetings sir,
I purchased a dell XCD-35 handset, invoice dated 28/10/2011. After a few days, i started encountering problem of voice cracking.
on 29/12/2011, i took the handset to the authorized dell service center. they confirmed me that the handset did have a voice cracking issue due to a hardware problem.
The center lodged a request for a replacement on the same day and asking me to come 15 days later to collect the same.
when i approached them after 15 days, they said the handset did not arrive and since then they have been dilly delaying me about the replacement.
Now when ever i call them to ask about my replacement they say that the handset is in transit since last 15 days.
when i asked the call attendant not to force me to drag the company to the consumer courts, she went on to the limit to say that i could do that anytime.
its like they have no regards for consumer courts and rights in India.
When ever i try calling the dell costumer care number[protected], my call would get connected, put on wait for 15-20 minutes and then would be automatically disconnected implying hefty amounts to my cellphone bills.
Till this date i haven't received my handset and i am being harassed on account of paying various visits to the center and also on call charges being accumulated to me.
I'd appreciate your sincere effort if you would be able to help me.

    This is something of grave concern. I am badly pissed off at the service and irresponsible behavior of Dell customer care. I bought a laptop (Service tag 90TCZM1) in US on 1 jan 2011. However I was provided with a faulty audio input with no provision for inserting a 3.5 mm jack. I came to note it in Jan 2012, when I had come back to India, and tried to contact them (the service tag was transferred to India after returning back). Exchange of mails took place(mostly from my end), finally got a case ID-6167470. The solution given to me after 14 days of mailing was-please contact technical department of Dell.
    Now this department is one of its kind in the country. The hours of operation end at 6 pm on weekdays and closed on weekends. Now if you have to talk to them, the condition quoted by them is you have to stay in front of your laptop. So finally I took half day leave and came back home to be in front of my system to call them. And this happened at least 25 times. I start calling at around 5-5.15 pm. The call gets transferred at least 5 times to different departments quoting justifications that "they are transferring me to concerned department"(I wonder how many correct departments are there). Now mostly these "concerned departments " take 10 minutes each to recieve your call ( and it passes through at least 5 "concerned departments") . Finally its 6 pm and when you land at the correct department the hours of operation are over.
    Once I landed up at the so called "correct concerned department" and they told since warranty period is over, they were not even ready to talk to me. Now a faulty piece doesnt come under the purview of warranty period, and its not customer's fault if he was provided with one and didn't notice withing the stipulated "warranty" and "friendly" period of Dell.
    Please help me in getting the issue resolved.

    I have been told by Dell that they can't help now as warranty period is over. But I came to know that, in india, I should get replacement of laptop as my laptop come uder the category of "manufacturing defect" . So warranty is irrelevant in my case as mentioned in "COnsumer Protection Act ". so please help me getting a replacement

      I want to withdraw the attention of India Govt . to take the suitable against DELL as DELL is running the Scam along with the shop keeper in India . Here is the summary of my complaint :

      I have purchased DELL desktop from Infocare Digital System Pvt Ltd , C/O Wipro Infotech ,A-39 ,Sector -22 , Great India Palace , Noida as on[protected] . The product has been on warranty on 3 years with free replacement . But on the 3rd day itself the Desktop has stopped functioning and still from the last 1 month no one has attended the complaint from DELL / or the above mentioned shop owner .

      My delivery Note number is :[protected]

      This is the fraud that the shop keepers has been running with DELL as the desktop that I have purchased is looks to be very much old and malfunctioned . They have duped me of Rs 45,000/-

      The contact numbers given on the bill are : [protected] / [protected] also not responding anymore

      Even the DELL Support personals are not attending the complaints . DELL is running the frauds in INDIA .

        that dell company with well image in market and their service providing company wipro are working in our country, that company are making mental harassment and lots of frode with customer, that kind of Indian and non Indian companies must restrict from working in india, and my personal request to Indian government to stop those companies sales in India which will be in interest of every Indian this thief companies are not providing proper service to customer and makes Indian customer full, this company making me full for last ( 25 ) twenty five days, i have requested to dell customer care on 05/January/ 2012 and also sent mails to all higher authority of dell company,
        they sent their engineer at 11 o'clock on 27 / January / 2012 but that engineer was came to change the spare in my laptop,it was damage spare which sent by company ( Mr. DELL) to make me full, but for his and his company satisfactions he change that spare in my laptop, but the spare is already dead how it can work in my laptop ? but to make me full he tried to do that, and than after their higher authority officer Sridhar and his team committed me to wait for two days and promise to me if the same thing will not be happen in two days than they will give me a new laptop on 30 / January 2012 at 11 o'clock,
        but now company officer Sridhar and his team has broken their commitment and for that Thai are giving me a silly reason that Thai are busy in repairing other laptop , they also threaten me that they will destroy my warranty and will not give me any further service in future

        I AM HUMBLE REQUEST TO INDIAN GOVERNMENT KINDLY MAKE ACTION TO THIS TYPE OF CHEAP, FROD, SERVICE THIEF COMPANY AND STOP THEM TO MAKE WORK IN INDIA

        DELL INDIA — BAD SERVICE

        I have booked order on 16th October at Dell Executive Store located in Pune, that time Dell executive has told us that if you have paid through Credit Card then you will get delivery within 7-8 days. I have made the payment through Credit Card. I got mail from Dell team regarding order confirmation and order number. They asked me check the status on Dell website. I have checked my order status on Friday 23rd and it was showing me that I will get delivery by 28th of this month. Now today I got mail from Dell regarding cancellation of order. I called up your customer care where I got New Order No. 0431861 and I have been told that now I will get delivery on 09th of November. It means almost 25 days after booking the order.

        This is good example of ridiculous service.
        dell is extremely worst. even they donot comply with warranty terms..

        DELL — HARASSMENT AND EXTREMELY POOR SERVICE

        I had purchased a Dell laptop a couple of months ago and barely using it for about 10 times, it has blanked out. On lodging a complaint on their call center, their representative blatantly refused to send any technician to repair my laptop and instead instructed me to open the spare parts of the laptop and repair it on my own.. After much debate they force me to open my machine and finally after having a heated argument with them after when I was not able to re-install the parts they agreed to send the technician to my place. He visited my house after 3 days and replaced the motherboard and hard drive of my brand new laptop.. And guess what.. my laptop still doesnt start... Now the technician has advised me that the processor will need to be replaced... So just imagine all the vital parts of my brand new laptop have been replaced and still my problem remains unresolved.. The technician has told me that no of days that will be taken to replace this processor is indefinite and might take upto 15 days.. When I call up their call center to find out the status of the same I am being advised that I would have to hold on for upto 2 hours to speak to one of their representatives...
        A world class company like Dell has amazingly pathetic customer service with highly unprofessional staff... and sub standard products... Just imagine after spending Rs 50000 on a computer what I am left with is a junk box which I cant use infefinitely.
        Hence I would like to seek your attention in solving my problem and would advise all prospective buyers to stay away from DELL as in case you run into a problem, you would be in for accute harrasment and mental torture without the problem being solved

        SMART HDD Error on system start

        I have called on Monday 2nd April 9 am, support told me your hard disk should be replaced & said that you will get call back from our side on Tuesday 3rd April. I never get back than I called back on customer support than they give me some instruction to do some exercise about troubleshoot but failed than they said to me you will get a call from technician on 4th April Wednesday for your hard disk replacement and as well as the replacement of charging port. When I called them back on Wednesday 4th April they told me your parts dispatched today and we will get back by Friday 6th April around 10 to 12 am. But your system will get back to work by Monday. I have informed them on Monday my Hard Disk getting problem before confirmation from my side they told me your hard disk should be replaced. I said OK, why not they have make a request on Monday itself for replacement of Hard Disk. Again when I called them on Tuesday, they didn't dispatched my parts on that day. They have make it on Wednesday, when I called them back for reminding the same issue. They have taken it on Wednesday. Is this kind of support dell is providing or they are just misinforming the client that they are giving world class support at your doorstep? I am really surprised the customer support of this kind. I am totally stuck by Monday to Monday to get my system to work. Just for change the Hard Disk. One of surprised thing i listen that they don't have any hard disk at Bangalore itself. They have specially borrow from outstation for me. Is this the ridiculous word they are making fool to their loyal customer.

        Now again Called in on Thursday customer support they transfer me to local service centre and your supervisor directly said to me they will not serve me.

        I have done big mistake in my whole life by purchase Service less Dell laptop. now a days, even local branded small companies also having new spares. They are changing new spares even for Rs 200 worth product also.but here the great Dell company doesn't have new spares to replace the spares with defective. they are using refurbished spares for repeated compliant also. its really shame less for all. I am requesting every body don't do mistake like me. please check dell web site ID, in that you can find out that dell shall be replaced defective part with refurbished part only. Refurbished means re used it means seconds... In fact I spent almost 50, 000 for this service less Dell company laptop, after one year no one be ready to take for 15, 000 also.Every body very much afraid from this dell company. please read the below mail conversion between me and Dell company for your reference...

        Please remember that my laptop is having warranty when I log in
        compliant. after two months also you are not resolved my laptop even
        refurbished (reused/seconds spares) spares replaced also. Now it is
        coming to out warranty. Pls note that here there is no out warranty
        conditions apply, since my compliant is still pending.

        Moreover you are not confidence about your refurbished spares and your
        company service, since you are not confirming quarries raised by me
        in the below trail mail and you are trying to escape by mentioning out
        warranty, where as compliant received in warranty status...Then how
        can belief consumer about your service and your reused (refurbished )
        spares. Pls justify your self atleast...

        1) You are issuing again refurbished (Re used spares) or good ones for
        repeated complaint.
        2) Is there any warranty/guarantee for your refurbished spares.

        six months, if not pls replace my spares with new spares instead of

        See, Ms/Mrs Jinsy, Mistakenly I have purchsed worst serviced Dell
        company lap top with white money, dont think like black money. And I
        have been harashed mentallay by your Worst and Worst service and I
        have loose my money, I failled my targets/commitments and also I have
        been met with accident because of lost my patience and concentration
        on everything.

        I am also working in service feild and we never treated with any
        customer like you, if any customer compliant repated we will be
        replace the hole prodcut even we are servicing with new spares not old
        spares like your company. becuase of we have ethics..But here I dont
        demend for product replacement, I am requesting for new spares, I
        never seen this type of service in my life...

        I hope you will be resolve my issue by providing new spares or
        replacing the product.

        I am planning to publish in news paper through 3000 pamplets for
        selling your service less company laptop.
        ( I will mention on the pamplets about your service also to dont
        create problem with buyer in future )

        Please not that you have sent your service engineer after few days of
        the my compliant and he has replaced battery & Mother board with
        refurbished/ reused spares even though I accepted that time to resolve
        my issue with Refurbishing spares.And the system is worked for two
        hours of the spares replaced. And again start the problem in my laptop
        and the same thing has informed you when you are called for feedback
        and told you clearly that I will observe the problem, if the same
        problem persists for next two days also you have to resolve. As I told

        And Again I requested & begged to resolve my Issue but you all are

        your warranty card/ information guide but no where mentioned that you
        will service with used/refurbished/seconds spares. Please check... I
        feel my self as It is really shameful to have a Dell Laptop

        I spent more than Indian Rupees of 44, 000(including 2 years AMC) for
        this laptop. This amount is very BIG to me, but it is very small

          One fine day without any over usage or indication the hard disk of the Inspiron 14 Laptop crashed. Did all the tests and everything but nothing could be worked. Laptop never started again. I did not wanted to loose the data. When i contacted the customer care they informed that I have to replace the Hard Disk. Well the next big news was that they do not have the exact replacement and I have to purchase a higher capacity hard disk, which surprisingly was cheaper then the lower HD. Well i ordered it on the spot and did the necessary payment on the spot. After that i tried my stunts on it and guess what, I was able to restore the laptop to factory settings. But, lost all data which was very sad. Well after mis guidance from them i had already purchased the HD. Then i cancelled it on the same day. It has been a good 2 months and i have still not received my Rs 6000/- refund back. I have done a million follow ups and what not to get the paper work in place. But every time there is a lapse from their end. Well now i am thinking to donate the money to them so that the company can survive, because if they continue doing like this then they will surely shut down soon in India at least. I wish i had this problem somewhere else where i could havee sued them for good. In India its so much relaxed with customer service. No more Dell from now on.

            I bought Dell Inspiron in October'2010(Service Tag Number F2157BS). And within 2 month LCD was replaced because of dead pixel problem.

            Then there was heating problem within 2 months and system was getting shut down because of overheating. So after contacting technical support team they said we are going to replace motherboard, hard disk, heat sink and exhaust fan. But I was not ready for that so after many conversations between me and technical support team, they said okay we will go for whole unit replacement.

            I received my new laptop in February'2011(Service Tag Number 1RNMXP1).

            In September'2011(If I am not wrong), again I logged a case regarding dead pixel problem and I was said like since there is only one dead pixel so we can't go for replacement if it will increase by 6-7 pixels then we will replace your LCD.

            So when I noticed there are 7 dead pixels on my LCD then again I contacted technical support team. They told me send pictures of dead pixel. I sent them pictures but they told like we are not able to find 6-7 dead pixels in the pictures. I asked them to send technician to my place so that he can verify but they didn't agree and suggested me to visit service centre. In December'11 I visited service center in Bangalore and this time they replaced my LCD.

            But the problem was not solved as I noticed (after 2-3 days) that the new LCD already has dead pixel.

            So again I logged a case regarding dead pixel along with heating problem. This time again LCD, heat sink, exhaust fan and keyboard was replaced.

            And this time also I noticed that the new LCD already has dead pixel and I informed the same to the guys who called me from Dell for the feedback and I clearly mentioned "to log a case regarding this but this time I am not going for part replacement first I will wait and check whether dead pixel will remain one or it will increase, but if it will increase I would like to go for refund instead of part replacement".

            After 2-3 days I noticed dead pixels has increased to 4 and this was not accepted by me and I made a call to technical support team again and instead of part replacement or whole unit replacement I asked for refund of my money.


            What I can see from my side is the problem remains same even after parts replacement and whole unit replacement. So there is no point of asking for any part replacement or whole unit replacement. Since within 3-4 days if dead pixels are increasing from 1 to 4(after i got new LCD) so there is no point of asking for any more part replacement. And also the worst part is like within one month this would be the 3rd time for the same problem if i go for the part replacement and that is really not acceptable at all in any case.



            What I can see from Dell's side is they are not able to solve the problems even after I went for both the parts replacement and the whole unit replacement as the problem remains the same. So there is no point of asking for any more parts replacement or whole unit replacement.


            And that's made me to select an option of asking for refund. So I called technical team to raise a request for Refund. And after so many arguments and talking to senior person, the request was raised with case number[protected] and was sent to the escalation team. I got a call from

            and I don't know whats her problem she is not ready to accept facts that I have faced till now. Only answer that she has is sorry sir at this stage neither refund or whole unit(system) replacement is possible, please go for warranty extension(as next month on 4thFebaury'2012 my laptops warranty is going to end). And she sent me a mail with three options

            "As discussed we will have the system repaired as per Dell’s warranty terms and conditions . Below mentioned are the options to have the system repaired .

            · Dell to depute an engineer with the relevant replacement parts to have the issue resolved.

            · You can leave the system at a Dell service center and have the issue resolved.

            · Dell can have the system collected from your residence to Dell’s Bangalore office and have the issue resolved and send the system back to you.

            Kindly advise the best option for you ,so that we can have the issue fixed at the earliest. We regret to inform you that we will not be able to provide you a system replacement."

            I don't know if the technical team can understand my problem whats the problem with her.


            But still something more has to come...
            I got a message while starting my laptop
            "The AC adapter type cannot be determined. This will prevent optimal system performance. Strike F3 key ( before F1 or F2 key) if you don’t want to see power warning messages again.Strike the F1 key to continue, F2 to run the setup utility"
            I made a call to technical team that time only and they told me sir we will replace motherboard, battery and DC port. So totally motherboard, battery, DC port and LCD has to be replaced that I have put on hold as I had requested for refund. I requested technical team to arrange call with escalation team. This time also Priyadharshini called me and she had the same answer.

            My laptop's warranty is going to end on 4thFebraury'2012 and I have no clue what to do. I did a mistake by buying dell laptop. I don't know what kind of product they are selling which gives hell of problems within one year warranty period.

            I think I should get a full refund of my money back from Dell. but they are not at all cooperative. I can compare Dell's customer care and tech support only with a road side dealer. And believe me, the quality is no better than what you get in 'Chor bazaar'!

            Can anyone please guide me what steps to take next? I know consumer court is an option, but I am trying to first resolve the case outside the court, but if nothing works out then consumer court is the only option for getting my money back including a compensation for the pain that Dell has given me!
            (there are more to write about tech team and escalation team but I sticked to my problems)

                I am Bhawna Sharma (Assistant Prof.) at IMA Dehradun. I went to Nehru Place to buy a battery for my laptop Inspiron 1545 (15'). I went to the shop named "LAPTOP SHOPPE PVT LTD" G-1A Gedore House 51-52 , Nehru Place phone[protected], Neetu Kholia [protected], email- [protected]@yahoo.in . It apperes to be a Dell Outlet so i asked them if it is an original outlet of Dell. She said "yes" than i asked if there is variation in price than i will return you battery they said there will be no variation in price. With this fake profile they gave me a battery with a very poor performance and charged 3500 for that. Then i saw another Dell shop and to confirm the price i asked there it was just 3000. Than i went back to the shop and told them that the cost is 3000 why you have charged 3500 and now please return my 500 then these people misbehaved with me and shouted n me. They said that you have paid by card so we can not return cash until the money won't come in our account, Now I have realized that even they have given me some fake battery because its performance is really poor. Please help me.

                  My charger stopped working . So i called dell support system and the guy asked me to run some tests and systems stopped working after couple of days. when i called them again they wanted to said they are escalating my complain to higher management and will call me next morning around 9 am. There was no call till 1 PM when i called them they say they willl call within next 48 hours. Is there any email ID where i can escalate this issue..
                  I am really frustated with the service. Not going to recommend Dell to anyone.

                      I was getting problem of current flowing in my laptop and i had complaint of it. one engineer came and he found that problem and open the laptop and change motherboard but after rearrange the laptop another problem I faced at the present time of dell Eng .of keypad of Keyboard and he tried to solve the problem but he was not able to solve it. He has given me one copy in which he has written the status is incomplete. I have called many times to dell they are telling to open laptop itself they will only support on call.
                      Now i am calling in dell support then they are saying that you have to pay for it or you have to extend the support. But my problem came in the warrant period and this problem was not previous, the keypad problem is creating by the Dell Eng. after changing the Motherboard.

                        I purchased a DellXCD 28 mobile from Home Shop18 in April 2011.The touch screen stopped working in the month of October 2011.I contacted he Dell customer care but came to know that there is no service centre in Bihar then I contacted Home Shop18 they told me to send the mobile to them ,they will get the mobile replaced/repaired.I sent the mobile to Home Shop 18 on 24th of October After receiving it on 31st of October they sent it to the local service centre(Noida service centre I have talked to Dell service centre Noida with Jugnu Chauhan, where my Dell Xcd28 mobile was submitted for replacement on 31.10.2011with Job sheet No 6NHYVN1in the name of Dr.S M Azam,They said that the mobile is with them and they are unable to replace due to shortage of stock.they also said that their request for stock is already pending with the head office.Then I sent personal message to Mr Tulsi social support officer at Dell He asked for details I provided the required detail then he assured for resolution on priority basis.But after three or four mails he is not responding.
                        For the last two and half months I am unable to get my Mobile and I am following Home Shop18 and Dell waiting for my replacement.Kindly help

                          I bought a Dell Inspiron laptop last year (Service Tag: BR26ZP1) and it's still under warranty period. Few days back I heard a buzzing sound from the product's adapter (power supply cord). I became very nervous and reached my nearest Dell service center without any delay (14/01/2012). They checked the adapter and found that because of some short-circuit within the adapter such a noise was coming out from there. However, they refused to repair the adapter and said that Dell won't provide me any replacement of the adapter until it's fully damaged. Though I expressed my skepticism and said that such a thing could damage my laptop completely, they didn't pay any heed to my request and sent me back home by saying that nothing would happen.

                          What should I do now? Can anybody help me with proper advice? Can I take any step against them for not repairing my adapter though it's under warranty period?

                          I had ordered for a Dell Inspiron 1520 laptop battery in March 2009 and had paid an amount of Rs. 5330 by draft according to the details of payment sent by me by my salesperson Jeffin Kuriakose.I still haven't received my battery and have been using my laptop as a desktop since then.Each time I call I have been given several excuses,first they told me the product would arrive in 2 months,then I was told several times to call 1 month later.Then they told me that my draft would be sent back because the product was not available but I havent received my battery nor my money.

                            I am Prasad Mehta from Pune. A problem occurred in the functioning of my mobile i.e. 'DELL XCD35'.
                            I showed it at the service center on 7/12/2011. They assured that the replacement would take 15 days. It's about 37 days since then,yet i have not got the replacement.
                            I had mailed about this on [protected]@dell.com on 27 dec 2011. they replayed that ill get replacement in 7 days, but still i haven't got it.
                            I also called on [protected] which is dells costumer care number, i had an bad experience, they don't attend people properly.
                            They cut the phone without responding or giving any answer.
                            I request to get my replacement as soon as possible or return my money which I had invested in mobile.

                              since purchase i have faced a lot of problems related with the hardware of this laptop, i had purchased this laptop keeping in mind that i may get instant service without wasting enough time and money but the results are not satisfactory, there was a problem with speaker, which i reported to ur mail id and i even got reply that i would be contacted soon (case#[protected], case id 5310412), but instead i had to wait for a long time and finally go to my retailer who took one month to deliver it back. the problem i recently faced was that one of the hinge of the laptop became loose, with the bitter experience that i had in the past with the way u handled my complain, i felt it was better to visit the retailer, the retailer directed me to VENKTRON digital systems, VGP victory house, annai salai, chennai 600002, which looks after the after sales services of dell computers. At VENKRON i was told that the mounting at the base was broken, and that base would get replaced in mumbai, i was told to come after a week, after two weeks i received the laptop but the base was not replaced instead the hinge and base plastic was unskillfully molded and returned, the excuse that i got for it was that spare was not available. i was shocked to hear such a reply form a company which assures best customer support. when u sell a product with such a bad quality hardware, and dont have enough spare to replace in case of defect u should be liable to either replace the product or repay full refund.

                                DELL LAPTOP CONDUCTING ELECTRICITY AND STILL TECH SUPPORT TROUBLESHOOTS

                                Hi Guys ,

                                I am Sippan Srikumar Rout I bought a dell laptop model 15 R (N5010)
                                Service Tag : B 9 T Z 7 B S , its a i5 comp with 4GB ram and 1GB dedicated graphics card but the misery is that its a DELL. The computer worked fine for couple of months before it showed multiple problem beginning with the computer over heating , then its exhaust fan making loud noise , then computer shutting down itself while playing HD GAMES for not more than 20 mintues and at last it started conducting electricity ( giving electric shocks ). So finally I call the technical support and they ask me to try different electric power point. I tried to let them know that I was getting electric shock not only in my house but also in my college and at another house at a different city and that I also had an electrician checked my house wiring. Even after listening to all that they insisted on trying it once again and they promised a call back. The next day when I tried to work on the computer as advised by the experts and that's when I got another electric shock and the computer accidentally fell from the desk and the LCD broke and now the computer doesn't even turn on thanks to DELL. So I call them once again as I have COMPLETE CARE that takes care of accidental damage and all I get is CALL BACK PROMISE once again. Please advise me guys how I can take legal action on DELL for giving me a computer that conducts electricity and then asking the customer to troubleshoot on the computer even after knowing that the computer was conducting electricity putting my own safety at risk when they simply could replaced the computer as there is nothing much once could do on a computer that is giving electric shocks.

                                    I am dr.jayaraj working in govt. hospital chennai. My service tag no. 2SLB6Q1.I bought my laptop on nov 19th 2010. I am having problems and issues with my laptop right from the nov 20 th. I have not made use of even 1% of its purchase value. At first my os got corrupted on dec 22nd as said by technical team on my query. Service request no.[protected].They guided me to identify the problem in system and said that hard drive fine and my os got corrupted and i have to reinstall it. With their help i reinstalled the os. I spent hours and days to reinstall os drivers and utilities with dell team.In two days time again my os got corrupted and my keybaord is having power leak and current passes through it when i use key board. When i contacted them they said that that there is problem in my hard drive. They said that they will replace the defective parts with help of engineer. But i am not interested in that. I have solid reasons for that. those are; its hardly one month i purchased my laptop. I have not used it much. If it is some six months i bought the laptop i would have accepted your arguement, since i have used it for half of the warrant period. but now of twelve months warranty period its just one month over HARDLY 7% USED. And i cant digest these many problems occuring in a newly bought laptop investing rs.37000 rupees in dell.Also day by day new and new problem arises with this laptop. There is lot of difference between the inbuilt parts and the replaced one. Your team has failed to detect the hardware problem at the second day and also at the first instance of os corruption.i have been subjected to lot of mental stress and tension in the following days of os installation and its corruption for the second time.Its negligence from your technical side.So i have lost interest and confidence in this laptop.I want a new laptop in exchange for this defctive product. Iexpect u to do this and i believe that u will not pave way for me to consider taking necessary legal action for giving me a defective product and subjecting me to mental stress and eating my time for hours and days. thanking you.

                                        i bought a dell mini book in sept 2010 for Rs 15,500/- which has gone unserviceable just after expiry of warranty period. i send it to an authorized dell repair shop who quoted that it cannot be repaired unless i take an AMC for two years costing Rs 10,500/-. thereafter i went to another authorized dell repair agency who quoted Rs 15,440/- for the same job. my complaint is firstly i am a basic computer user and my computer fault will definitely be due to poor quality of a product as i am not into hard core programming/ using computer to extremes. secondly the after sales service policy of dell is a burden on consumer as the laptops cannot be repaired in general market unlike other brands and due to monopoly charges asked not at all justified. i will be great full if someone intervenes so that i can get my laptop repaired at justified price. the instance can also be spread across to other potential customers so that they come to know the true face of company's after sales laxity.
