SMART HDD Error on system start

I have called on Monday 2nd April 9 am, support told me your hard disk should be replaced & said that you will get call back from our side on Tuesday 3rd April. I never get back than I called back on customer support than they give me some instruction to do some exercise about troubleshoot but failed than they said to me you will get a call from technician on 4th April Wednesday for your hard disk replacement and as well as the replacement of charging port. When I called them back on Wednesday 4th April they told me your parts dispatched today and we will get back by Friday 6th April around 10 to 12 am. But your system will get back to work by Monday. I have informed them on Monday my Hard Disk getting problem before confirmation from my side they told me your hard disk should be replaced. I said OK, why not they have make a request on Monday itself for replacement of Hard Disk. Again when I called them on Tuesday, they didn't dispatched my parts on that day. They have make it on Wednesday, when I called them back for reminding the same issue. They have taken it on Wednesday. Is this kind of support dell is providing or they are just misinforming the client that they are giving world class support at your doorstep? I am really surprised the customer support of this kind. I am totally stuck by Monday to Monday to get my system to work. Just for change the Hard Disk. One of surprised thing i listen that they don't have any hard disk at Bangalore itself. They have specially borrow from outstation for me. Is this the ridiculous word they are making fool to their loyal customer.

Now again Called in on Thursday customer support they transfer me to local service centre and your supervisor directly said to me they will not serve me.

Now I am really frustrated how they talk me.
Don't buy dell, it's like china made product.. low price but useless product... waste of money...

    6 months ago i bought a dell vostro 1540 laptop and its speaker was damaged after 3 month. So i gave it for reapairing on 8th jan. Baid international took 2 and a half month to return it, but with another faulty laptop with some smps problem, but without the charger. After 4 day they gave me the charger, and when i came to know about the problem of the laptop, i returned it the very next day and they promised to return the next day. But again they are making excuseses and not returning ma laptop. Its been 3 month of harasment from baid international siliguri. Is this a way to treat a costumer who is student and whose exams are near. Could you please stop this.

      I am a regular dell customer, with two laptops and was about to buy my third laptop for my relative. ONline chat sales person PALLAVI CHIRING was arrogant and in the end asked me to go and buy TOSHIBA instead, when i told her that i will post the chat session online, she called me at my cell phone and threatened me and misbehaved with me. No body should talk to this particular chat sales female from DELL INDIA website.

        Motherboard has been replaced- and still overheats- upto 97+ degrees celsius! ( YES, thats correct! )

          Sir/madam,
          I, Chetna Goel, owner of DELL INSPIRON N5110 lodged a complaint regarding my laptop. The CASE NO. to which is :[protected]. But to my pure dismay, I have been UTTERLY DISAPPOINTED with dell’s customer care and its service providing policy.
          I spoke to dell customer care thrice and more; two of them being “Mr. SACHIN” and “Mr. KULWANT”. And I have been asked to either arrange for another adapter no matter how.. or arrange a tool kit myself and open it! What I don’t understand is that how the hell do you people expect your customer to screw open the laptop on her own. Excuse me, everybody is not an engineer dear!
          I have being promised for an “on sight” service under my laptop’s warranty period, but I din’t get to see that happening in this case what so ever.
          I requested a million times to send a technician in order to take care of this issue, but I have been denied to that service all together and have been asked to pay additional money ,if I want any technician to visit in person!
          It’s a request as well as warning that you kindly look into the matter as soon as possible or being a harassed customer, I may file a complaint in consumer court under the “CONSUMER PROTECTION ACT 2001”, in this regard.

          DELL — Worst Tech Support

          Hi,
          I recently bought the Dell laptop Inspiron 1525. I have lot of hope regarding the TECH Support from the DELL. You will get very good service before Buying but WORSE after buying. I try till 20 to 30 min on phone to connect the tech support but never get connected for support. I try to send the mail but not able to submit .
          As far as Systen Config is concern there will be ONE partition and you have to struggle lot to DO it Yourself.
          If you are not the EXPERT STAY AWAY from the DELL

          DELL — fake warranty promise

          sir
          i have a dell vostro notebook with me which claims a 3 year complete cover<including accidental damage> warranty.i bought it from fore solutions chandigarh .i complaint them about the broken parts in the month of feb'09 and now its may and haven't repaired my laptop till now.
          even after continous reminder to them they just assured me to repair it soon on each reminder.

          i would be grateful to the cosumer concerned authority to accept my complaint.ang guide me through the procedure.
          this is causing a big stress to me.my work hangs because of it.

            HI,

            I had purchased the above mentioned model of Dell mobile in Oct. 2012.
            I had problems right from day 1
            When I approached the customer care in Bangalore, they assured me of replacement as guaranteed
            Since then I am calling them regularly for the same and they are giving excuses for the last 3 months
            Even today their answer was "status of your request will be known to you if you call day after tomorrow"
            They were not even ready to give proper email id for complaining
            Very poor service

              i bought the dell xps-L501x on 2 jan 2011 online directly from
              dell.since the day i got the it i facing many problems with the
              product.
              1.On the very first day of my order delivery i.e. on 14 jan 2011 i
              found out that there is a red spot on my laptop lcd screen,for that my
              lcd screen was replaced.
              2.after some days o[censored]se my USB port stopped functioning,for that
              mother board was replaced.
              3.since the problem was not fixed,again the daughter board was replaced.
              4.now i found out that my laptop does not have physical wi-fi adaptor which was resolved temporarily.
              5.I also have internal problems with my laptop(like frequent windows crash etc.)

              although my warranty has been expired now but the problems with dell components continues,

              ***6.laptop battery doesn't charge to full capacity, initially starting from 100% now its charging limit reduced to 40% only, after which it stop charging any further.

              initially i thought that this is a temporary problem but now i realize its not.

              since the problem started when the system was in warranty period,i hope Consumer Forum would take some action regarding the same.
              Install software for Wifi adaptor. Battery is not in warranty. Buy a new battery and use as per rules.

                Hi my name is sriram. I have purchased Dell XCD 35 on 19th April 2011 for RS 11400/-. The problem is the touch screen lost its sensitive. in the bottom lest side. After that i contact the dell service center in Chetpet contact person is Mr.Sathish. I have gone to that service center on 21sf Feb and
                given the mobile for warranty replacement. While giving the phone for warranty the service engineer assured that the phone will be replace within 10 days. So i waited for 10 days and in between the ten days i make a phone call and update the status. But there is no use days roll on and even up to now today 14th march until now there is no response. While i make a call to him he said that there is no stock even the service center is waiting for the stock. So that i make a phone call to dell toll free [protected] after a long waiting one lady spoke to me her name is Sowmya. Even there is no use.Still no stock. Such a big company with stupid service in mobile. I don't know why they started the mobile phone unit. TOTAL WORST AND POOR SERVICE. CHEATING THE CUSTOMER. AND CARELESS ANSWERING.

                dell xcd 35 same problem for all customers(keypad, touch, charging heat).. don't buy dell mobile product very worst...

                  I have purchased the dell xcd35 mobile three months back. 25 days back i got complaints regarding touch screen. I have contacted the show room and they advised me to contact the service centre that is acel. Till now i didnt got the mobile and every day they are post poning with nil stock in dell company.                         Dell Inspiron — keys not working

                        The machine supplied stopped working two days after the delivery. It took us 10 days to register complaint ( as they work between 9 am to 6 pm with Sat/ Sun off, one has to be infront of the machine for lodging complaint!).

                        The support is very poor, they do not have spares for newly suppled machine. Sad part is one feels totally helpless.
                        i made a complaint On dell customer care on27/7/09 and my service tag is:2BH33BS, mentioning that the hardware complaint ie: the DVD is not reading any of my disc and simply its rejecting, they gave us an complaint no :[protected] mentioning that their service engineer would visit our site within 2 days. im waiting for more than 10 days still any of them have enquire about that. im totally unsatisfied with the service department. i need your reply soon.

                        DELL — NOT satisfied with the response level

                        I am not satisfied at the very first level of interaction with the DELL. I wanted to purchase a LAPTOP and I filled the online form and submitted it. I was told that a representative will contact you within 24 hrs. More than 1 day has passed and nobody has contacted me as yet. Moreover, they just dropped a mail, to enquire about my telephone number, which I had already provided in my registration form with DELL.

                        I am not satifified with their promptness to respond to the customer purchase request hence I am changing my mind to buy a LAPTOP from DELL.

                        I am feeling very guilty that why I have gone for Dell Laptop... Dell peoples attitude towards the customer is very poor, they do not reply for the various query, this is the bad experience I am facing from the peoples from Managers Level to the down the level.
                        Dell- India wrongly committing the total customer satisfaction how ever they do not know the single meaning of it.

                        I never recommend any person to go for Dell and I will stop the person to buy the any Dell Product seeing this bad experience.

                        On November 24, 2010I bought a Dell Inspiron, Product Type IM[protected]B3D/ATH Model IM5030-283. My family thought it was a great computer and good looking too! It had a great price. It was bought on Best Buy of San Juan at 10:52 am. Less than a month, on december 19, 2010 we had to go over Best Buy and ask them to fix our computer. It was less than a month. What I thought was, this is a piece of junk. I couldn't believe it. I had to wait three weeks becauseI had to leave the computer for repairs. The store clerks said that the problem was that the data would not sow in the monitor. When Best Buy called us to pick up the laptop computer they claimed that some computers sometimes come with deffects and flaws. The next time we went to the store, the clerk claimed that an Internet virus had done the damage but they were willing to fix the problem. This was on February 2011. Last night I had to do the same thing because the computer simply shut down supposedly because of a virus from the Internet. What I want to ask here is, everytime I access the Internet, do my laptop shuts down because it will protect it. The problem here here is the store doesn't give me answrs. I have been to few blogs about Dell complaints and I will definitely promote not to buy them. This is ridiculous that a computer was broken less than a month old and nothing could be done except wait to be repaired. I am taking consulting this matter to some counselors and look inte the possibility of my money to be returned since what I have bouht is a piece of junk, like I said before. I asked for your help through the website and your answered was that since I lived in Puerto Rico deal with the problem locally. But mark my words, I will be taking legal actions towards a company that doesn't even respond to their clients needs. This is a nightmare and my emotional well being has been jeopardized by this piece of junk that I have bought for mys son's homeworks. If you at least have the decency to answer I could at least know that there is a company that still exits.

                          I purchased a dell laptop in Oct,2009 through online shopping through Dell.com. the laptop they sent was faulty. then i suffered very much for the replacement of the laptop. and after hundreds of calls i got my replaced new laptop in Feb,2010. and as a compensation, i was promised to provide with the extended complete cover warranty till 13th march 2012. One of managers sent me the confirmation mail regarding this.
                          in Nov,2011 i needed to use the warranty, so i checked on dell's website regarding my warranty status. it showed me the warranty as 'Expired'. and i found that the warranty had not been extended as promised. i lodged a complaint in dell's customer care. on 2ndDec,2011 and then called them more than 50 times. there system is so harassing that every time i call a new person receive the call and i need to explain the whole story again and again. it was really very frustrating.
                          They gave me the assurance that the warranty will be extended. But still the warranty has not been extended.
                          It was a very bad experience with Dell.

                              I have purchased a new Dell Laptop on January 17th 2012 and now I think this was one of the biggest flaws I've done in my recent times!

                              From the beginning on wards there was issues with this.Firstly the issues were with touch pad, which was not working. I complained Dell support on 10th February.Though I got the motherboard replaced, I led to more complicated issues as I wasn't able to use my system after that. It's really embarrassing that after spending a good amount of my hard earned money for your incompetent system, now I've to spend so much time, sorting these issues and contacting DELL customer care.

                              I had purchased Dell further to some good feedback from some of my colleagues But with the experience I had, I'm afraid, I would be great critic of this. Furthermore I would be moving forward with all the legal possibilities to get a product which worth the value for my money,not an incomplete one like the thing Dell had given me.

                              I believe that no terms or conditions would suggest that you would give me an non-performing product, right from the purchase and send a service engineer along with me all the time to fix the issues- I have my own work!!. And I don't want to use a new computer opened and serviced for many times in the first month itself, with all the wear and tear of this in it.

                              When I contacted your customer care, I was told that this system have been sold to the reseller some time back and hence there are warranty issues. I believe you'd understand that this is not my concern as I have purchased the product on Jan 17, 2012.

                              Please replace this system with a new one at the earliest.I'll be looking forward to hearing from Dell before making any further move.

                              dell vostro — Lot of Hardware and Software Issues along with Poor Service.

                              After buying a new Laptop from US(With International warrenty) i started facing problem in 2nd month.
                              As a Dell Policy they dont replace their products after 1 month.
                              Please find below the number of issues that i faced in 9 months o[censored]sage.

                              1) From the very first day i started getting HANG Issue on charging.

                              2) Once it got resolved i faced less Battery Backup issue. On request to change my battery , i got a new battery but still i never got the battery Backup of 6 hours that i useed to get with my new Laptop. Now its maximum Backup is of 3 hours and 20 mins.

                              3) Then i faced software issue.

                              4) Once they got resolved i faced Keyboard issue where my Keyboard is replaced.

                              5) Then again HANG issue started occuring.

                              6) Now currently along with this issue there is a Motherboard issue.(According to Service Center).

                              I really dont know what is the next issue which will get added in this list and how many more are yet to come.

                              The biggest blunder was i couldnt use and check it in the very 1st month as it was in US with my friend who bought it.I am totally unhappy and frustated after spending so much money on DELL VOSTRO .
                              Will be really thankful if anybody can let me know some senior persons mail id where i can redirect my complaints.

                                I ordered a laptop through one of my friend in USA as a gift for her on 18th February 2012 and the amount against the same has been charged from my card on 20th February 2012 and it supposed to be deliver on 25th, however it was not delivered till date and when I checked and inquired with Dell people, I got to know my delivery got cancelled due to a call/mail made by somebody stating that he being a holder of card, he want to stop the payment. Without cross verifying the information provided by me while making the payment, they stopped the delivery and cancelled my order. On the top of it the people on the phone(Sharron[protected] extn 4161320) and her manager) are not at all co-operative and are not very keen in finding out the solution of the problem.

                                  I had issue with DELL (laptops)I had renewed my dell laptop warranty for complete cover twice once in 2012 for one year and once on 2013 for two years . both the time i paid for complete cover warranty before the warranty expires and now when i need to get few of the parts changed in my laptop they told me that my laptop warranty is not of complete cover is some hardware warranty.
                                  but the time of renewal their executive had called me and told me that if once your laptop complete cover warranty will expire it cant be renewed so if you want the complete cover warranty please renew it before it expired so i renewed it for one in in 2012. then in 2013 the executive called n mailed me regarding the expiry of my complete cover and again i renewed it for 2 years before it expires but now they are saying that in both the times the warranty which got renewed as some hardware warranty .
                                  below is the mail that i&#039;ve sent them on 23rd march 2015. i had sent the mail to the girl who renewed my warranty in 2013 and also to her manager but till now there is no revert infact no acknowledgement.

                                  I am a very disappointed customer. The story goes like this I got my laptop on 26th Aug 2011 (with a complete cover),
                                  was a happy customer by that time.

                                  Then for the first time I got it renewed on 21st May 2012 (for complete cover again) with order No.[protected], post this renewal whenever I had CONCERNS I Always had a Big time with you guys*(Dell), which converted me to an annoyed customer.

                                  Then for the second time I got it renewed on 26th Aug 2013 (for complete cover again) with order No.[protected], and last but not at all the least post this renewal whenever I had ISSUES I have to Kill my Time with you guys*(Dell) like anything to make you understand that which kind of warranty I am carrying for my product, and now what you have got is an Unhappy, Highly Fumed up customer who wants to know why the Hell she is being paying such a bulky amount if she is NOT GETTING the SERVICES for COMPLETE COVER.

                                  In short I have been told that since the first renewal I am not getting a complete cover on my laptop though I have been told that I am getting it. Please FIX this ASAP !!!

                                      I purchased a laptop Dell M501R from a retailer in Ernakulam district of Kerala for Rs.38000(including some items that were called 'free') a month ago.(In the bill they had added the free items also with some price). I was offered many features while buying but after a week o[censored]se I realized that many promises made were false.One of those is the battery life of the laptop which was supposed to be 3 hrs,but it hardly gives 1.5 hrs now(this is really affecting my usage).On top of all these, to my disappointment I learned that the laptop was actually priced low @ Rs.32000(a difference of Rs.6000!!!) in some other shops that I came to know online and from inquiry.(In fact,its priced at Rs.30500 in flipkart.com which I am not considering now as you have to take into account taxes etc. for retailers-link( http://www.flipkart.com/computers/laptops/dell/itmd37zvcdyb4kqw?pid=comd37zufyzx... all these, when I checked the Dell website for the actual price of this laptop,I was shocked to learn that Dell had stopped the production of this model some months ago and this model does not feature in their website(http://www.dell.com/in/p/inspiron-m501r/pd).
                                      Things that I could conclude from all these is that the retailer is selling the old stock of this production stopped laptop at his own price. Since the consumer has no official sources(Dell website) to know the actual price of this laptop they were successful to some extent in cheating the consumer. When I enquired to know whether this retailer usually sell laptops at higher rates, I realised that it was not the case. It was only with that particular model, he’s doing so which again points to the foul play that I mentioned earlier. The fact that the laptop was priced way too high for me and that it doesnot have all features promised earlier, has really depressed me.
                                      I admit that I was ignorant and should have been more vigilant while making the purchase.But I feel badly cheated and would like to claim a compenstion from the retailer.Please guide me in this regard.
