PRODUCT RECEIVED ON 4/1/10 AND SERVICE PENDING EVER SINCE WITH NO UPDATE.

Since i've been waiting for quite an indefinite period now, may i have the contact detail, specially the phone number of your senior official at dell whom i'd urgently need to ask as to whats the matter for this unrequited delay???

One more thing,
ever since the motherboard and nvidia card were changed...everytime the system boots n shuts down, the cpu fan varooms and produces a loud sound which use to never happen before with the previous mb and card. Although, once the system has fully booted, this loud cpu fan sound goes off. Why is that? Can i stop it somehow?

The service engineer Mr. Rajneesh Verma has just left 15 min. back after replacing the motherboard and nvidia card and it malfunctioned again with the same warning note as before. This problem is killing me and i'm worried if theres a real solution to it.
Please reply back ASAP as to what can be done if at all something is possible.
The service engineer also said that this cld be the possibility when we use system for long time but why so if still this is the cause and secondly its hardly 15 minutes my system is on n its happening again.
Also one of my friends suggests to replace nvidia card with ATI. He says his computer was cured of similar defect after changing the graphic card to ATI from nvidia. if that can be arranged, pls look into it as i want my system running smooth asap. Very first month of my purchase and i'm not getting satisfied atall.

The buzzing sound completely disappears from the system the moment i disconnect them from the cpu. i connected the speakers to my ipod and even mobile with a perfect performance and no unwanted sounds. its the cpu to which when the speakers are connected they produce this undesirable sound.
Also, inform me about the sleep button thing.
Pls reply asap.

In the power control options thru the control panel, there are options of hibernating and sleeping the system thru the power and sleep buttons respectively. I'm unable to find a sleep button on my system. Where is that?
And also, when the speakers are turned on with a reasonably medium to high volume, there is a constant hissing sound coming out of 'em. Is that normal?

DELL — regarding the product n services

i m very unstasified with ur services and ur product.as i hav purchased a laptop model number pp38l purchased from a dealer gp infotech on 25 march. ON 1st led problem occured in which only i was able to on n off tthe laptop bt i was nt able to see nythin. then again led problem occured in which ma led got green in colour which problem was solved after 2 weeks. n the same month my charger got defused. i m really unsatisfied with because in a operiod of one month i m facing so many problems. i want to replace ma laptop within a week.as it is creating a problem 4 me..revert me back on heena.[protected]@yahoo.com or [protected]

    I extended the warranty on the Dell laptop computer in August 2009. The money has been collected by dell and till date Dell system does not show extension of warranty. Contacting Dell to fix the laptop has become a nightmare as the technical website does not work. The telephone contact details also do not work and this is the most frustrating experience. Dell after sales service is extremely poor.They do not even give a email id wherein one can log and send a complaint. Can anyone help on this subject.
    My Dell Inspiron 1464 (Service Tag: GQWG5BS) purchased for home use in May 2010 was working fine till last week. Now the battery does not get charged and is not identified at all while booting, though it works OK with AC power on. There are no Dell service centers in my locality (Calicut, Kerala, India) and the only way to get service (even waranty service) is to call the Toll; free no. After a marathon trial on[protected], I could connect to one technical support person (after an hour of trial over the phone) who sent me a replacement battery charger the very next day. Unfortunately that too does not work. Again I tried to contact the toll free number (on[protected], the technical support man told he will send a mother board replacement on Monday (ie 30 Aug). When I searched the website of Dell no email id of support persons is shown. The site is too slow to load. I could not log a complaint and the service tag shows iits not covered under warranty services. How do I claim the warranty service?
    In short, I am fed up with Dell support service, and thinking seriously of cancelling an order for 120 Dell systems that I can take decision on, because if the warranty service is so poor, the out of warranty service will be even worse.

    We had placed an order for a studio laptop from Dell India Pvt Ltd.(Bandra) on 11/07/2010 which was supposed to be due on 30/07/2010.After lot of pursuance , it was finally delivered almost a month and a half later.Along with the laptop I was supposed 2 get a Bluetooth headset which was not delivered along with the laptop due to some shortage of the device and was promised to be delivered within a month.However , its been past 2 months and I have not yet received the same even after repeated reminders.
    Moreover , I have been receiving vague replies from the office and the executives.. Particularly Mr.Dilip Rajak who had placed my order has dealt with the matter very precariously.When asked about the order status, they also had the audacity to slam the phone down without giving a proper reply.
    With your kind follow up of the matter I hope to receive my blue tooth as soon as possible.

      I have Purchased a Dell laptop of XPS 1530 model. In the begining it worked properly... After the expiration of the warranty period the laptop battery has been gone and its not working... it shows there is no battery found eventhough there is a battery... if i contact the customer care means they are simply telling that your warranty period has been expired and so you have to buy a new battery only... When i asked the price of the new battery they told its 6000... see how they are trying to cheat the peoples... I just want to ask only one question that are you people manufacturing the products that'll be working properly during the warranty period only?????? Is this good for a reputed company?????? Waste... I am not the one and only person who is having this problem but one of my friend also having the same problem in his battery... He also have the same model of laptop which am having...

      DELL LAPTOP XPS1530 — BATTERY HAS GONE BAD

      Dear Sir,
      I LAXMEESH S HASYAGAR purchased a DELL laptop XPS1530 on[protected].on[protected] A.C.Adaptor of my laptop stopped working and against complain lodged the same was replaced.Afterthat exactly after 41days on[protected] suddenly my battery of the same laptop stopped working.and dell service department says they cant replace the battery free of cost.I am aware that battery is a consumable item and guarantee period is expired.But my contention is that Their power supply itself from the beginning was faulty which is a main source for charging and the same was replaced during guarantee period.Their faulty product only spoiled my laptops battery.(Eventhough electronic component's lifespan cannot be guaranteed, a good company like dell cannot use substandard material which would conk off exactly after one year+or- 3days!!!) Since there is a direct connection between charging and power supply I strongly feel that I have become a scapegoat!! as dell has refused to replace the battery free of cost.Please get me justice.

      I have been using DELL for the past 5 years and i dont have a problem . Moreover i think the battery will not come under warranty, even if you battery is gone when u are in warranty i guess u will have to buy it on your own .

      Bro... its pure business, Don't expect charity from any company . 1st go and Buy Battery. For your info 50 mins is not very low back up. No battery is covered under warranty for low back up. Before posting anything about DELL plz read the warranty terms and condition . Don't post crap here. Battery is a chemical product and its life reduces by time. understand it 1st

        I have purchase a dell desktop from Swetech Computer Consultancy, Civil Lines, Allahabad on 22/10/2009 with this assurance that they will give me original vista with desktop. But when I bring the desktop at home it shows that activate your window, I make a complaint to shop keeper he suggested me contact Dell customer care center and Dell customer care center said that this model no BC944BS is supplied in free DOS state. Now I want to state that shop keeper has taken a cost on account of original vista software but he did not provided yet. I have already make two times complaint with shopkeeper.

        This is not our fault . We sold this PC in packed box as sent by distributer and this problem was come to know when our service engineer went to set this PC at customer end and he told this to customer. We immediate take action. This fault had been from distributer side as our purchase invoice shows that license software was with this model after contacting distributer he replaced that PC and we also did this with customer.

          I had purchased a laptop of your company from Meerut (Fortech Computer Systems Pvt, Ltd, 81/1 Nehru Place, Opp Jagat Cinema, Begum Bridge, Meerut) on 06 Feb 2010. The detail of the same is given below :-

          After 4-5 days some problem occurred in the system, basically the windows was opening and since then the system gets re-boot frequently, and giving some error. Subsequently, I had contacted to your customer care centre (complaint ID –[protected] and they sent some instructions through e-mail, for my application itself rather than sending an engineer to see the problem. It proves that how your company helps the customer by teaching him about troubleshooting, who is already anxious as he spent thousand of rupee and got such a bad service. Nevertheless, I had followed the instruction whatever they had sent me, but the problem could not be sorted out. When I went to the dealer he said leave it here only we will send it to the company and they will get it repaired.

          I am facing a lot of problem due to non functioning of my laptop. I decided to purchase laptop of Dell because I heard that the technical support service of your company is very good, but after see such response I am loosing my credibility on your company.

          At last I would request you to kindly get my laptop repaired at the earliest otherwise I will be compelled to go to the consumer forum.

              Reg: Complaint for breach of Terms & conditions in respect of purchase of
              STUDIO 14 (E-VALUE S540807IN8) Laptop from your Company

              Worst service by your Customer care and Technical Support

              I purchased STUDIO 14 from your company vide your Invoice No. 00303246 dated 08.09.2009 against my order no. 0386311. As per the terms and conditions, the above product is under warranty for 1 year from the date of receipt of laptop i.e. up to September, 2010. The operating system provided by you was Windows Vista Home Premium (64-bit) and as per the eligibility terms, I was eligible for free upgradation to Windows 7 (64-bit) Home Premium operating system.

              I submitted my order no DELLW7U[protected] dated[protected] for supply of free upgradation product - Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit. In response to my order, I received two DVDs containing the following products from M/s Mentor Media Ltd., with which you tied up for supplying o[censored]pgradation version of Windows 7.

              (1) Dell Windows 7 Upgrade Assistant DVD 64 BIT
              (2) Operating System Windows 7 Upgrade Option

              While upgrading Windows 7, the system asked for removal of Dell Support Centre software, but when I tried for removing the above software, it displayed the message “error in accessing DSC20.MSI”.

              I contacted Customer Care many times on Toll Free Numbers – [protected], [protected], but, your technical support center suggested different solutions at different times which did not rectify the problem. At last, on 4th January, 2010, I received a call from Mr Nakul Daga (Phone No. [protected]) from your Gurgaon Centre, who advised me to load Windows 7 afresh from DVD supplied by Dell. I loaded Windows 7 Home Premium with DVD supplied by you, but the system asked for Product Key. Mr Nakul Daga advised me to enter Product Key mentioned on back side of DVD cover. Since, the Product Key was not legible, Mr Daga sent me one e-mail, which is containing more than 10 product keys. One of the Product Keys worked and Windows 7 was loaded. Later on, the system started displaying the message to activate Product Key with Microsoft. Whenever, I clicked on activation of Product Key, the response message was that the “ Product Key is invalid”. On 11.01.2010, I contacted Mr Mohd Ashram Khan of your Customer Care and technical support Deptt, and narrated the full facts, he assured me to get the problem rectified through some engineer on 11.01.2010 itself. The same day, I received call from Mr Prashant Joshi (Ph No. [protected]) from your Gurgaon Centre, who assured me to send one new DVD for Windows 7 and informed me that with reinstallation of Windows 7 with new DVD, the problem would be rectified. I waited till 14.01.2010, but no DVD was received. Then I contacted, once again, Customer Service / Technical Support on 15.01.2010 at 10:13am.. In response to my complaint, I received a call on 15.01.2010 at 12:40 pm, from Mr Srinivas from your phone no. [protected], he assured me to call back to me on 16.01.2010 between 11:00 am to 1:00 pm and problem will be rectified. Same day, I received one more call from Mr Vishal from phone no +5044 at 4:09 pm, I explained him about my conversation with Mr Srinivas. Mr Vishal assured me full cooperation and rectification of the above problem on 16.01.2010. I was very much sorry to note that no call was received from anyone from your company on 16.01.2010. Then, I made a call once again on 19.01.2010 to Customer Service, who connected my phone to Mr Satyender of your Gurgaon Centre. Mr Satyender told me that since Windows 7 is third party software, Dell cannot do anything in this regard.

              Even after, loosing a lot of my precious time / hours and hours, in contacting your Customer Care / Technical Support Centre and narrating the full facts afresh each time, I could not get any assistance from M/s Dell India Pvt Ltd. Since, the problem could not attended to and resolved by you, I had to buy Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit operating system from other vendor for Rs 4000/-.

              As you Company has broken the terms and conditions of the purchase, I request you to pay to me Rs 54000/- (Rs Fifty Four Thousands only) towards the cost of Windows 7 Home Premium (Rs 4000/-) and mental harassment faced by me due to deficiency in your service and breach of Warranty term of 1 year.

              Your timely response will be highly appreciated by me. You non-action to my complaint may compel me to go to consumer Forum as well as other legal authorities for redressal of my grievances.

                I have placed my order for Dell Inspiron (15" Laptop) at Croma Store located in Madhapur,Hyderabad on 2nd February 2010 and provided them all the details required for the dsiaptch and informed me that the order will received in 10 working days.Payment mode is Cash.

                They have provided me the Cart Number at the time of placing the order.I have asked them about the OrderId on6th Feb 2010..They said that the Banglore team was on a quarterly outing and they could not provide me any details.In the next week when I have approached them regarding my order,they informed that the Cart has changed and provide me the OrderId and Customer Code.I started tracking that order based on these details.On 11th Feb I noticed that the Shipping details entered are wrong.I was in a hurry and could not do any proceedings on that last week.

                Next Week,I have tried calling the Dell Customer Care ,And asked them about the change of my address.They asked me to contact the person (Pinto : Dell Representative) who has taken my order.But I could never talk to him on Phone.I have also placed a request for the change of address from the Web Site but no help.

                They also informed that they would be calling one day before the Laptop is Shippe but never received a call.Finally I called Dell Support on 17th Feb 2010,they said that the Laptop is shipped and it is now in Hyderabad and provided me the Shipping Details.When I called Blue Dart about that,they said that the address is wrong and they need a confirmation from Dell for the delivery.Then I contacted Dell Representative in Croma Store and told hime about the story.They said that they will take care of it and I will receive the Laptop by Weekend.But when I enquired Blue Dart today,they said that the consinment is delivered.Finally when I started tracing the details,We noticed that the consinement is delivered to other peron with the Same Name.

                I lost the whole faith in DELL now.I am afraid,if the order delivery itself is such a mess,what would be the nature of their support.I just want justice regarding this .

                Dell / Inspiron Laptop — Difference in order deleiverd

                I have ordered a Dell Laptop to sales persion into Dell.He sent me quotation for dell Inspiron.The quotation was basic one so I have cutomize it and sent my configuration and My Rate to that Laptop.

                I have written in the mail if you agree then call me back or mail me or reply me what would be your price for my configuration.

                After 1-2 days Varun Ailawadi(Sales Person) and he agrre on Rs 36900 for my configuration after cutomization.

                I asked him for cusomized quotation, he told me, don't worry I will sent you the same configuarion that you desired.

                Each time on phone and mail ,I always mention my configuation.

                But order was received, was on the basis of quotation not my cutomized laptop.

                Please help me what to do if anyone.

                The people who buy Laptop kind of material from CROMA will face like this. By the way Dell is also available on Dell Retail Store in immediate delivery, why this custome approach CROMA and buy it from Online thats out of question.

                Such Customers have mania that they bought something from Direct vendor and from huge shop.

                  I bought a Dell Studio Laptop recently through online booking. However, I found that it gets heated up and the Internet Explorer doesn't open. I called up the consumer complaint and asked them to come over to look into the problem. The technical reps were however quite rude and did not commit anything. Instead I was asked to connect to the internet and let them remotely handle my laptop (knowing fully well that my web browser does not open and it wasn't possible to connect). My plea to come personally and look into it went unheeded. A friend of mine suggested that I install Firefox (could have been advised by Dell guys also). I was finally able to connect to the internet and the technical rep told me that the problem had been rectified and that he would also call me up after 5 days. Meanwhile the battery stopped charging and as expected, there was no call from Dell!
                  In hindsight made the biggest mistake by purchasing a Dell laptop.

                  Dell Studio — Not received a refund

                  Following the excise cut by the govt. at the end of the last year I received a mail and confirmation on the phone from the customer care of a refund of Rs 1900 approx.But I haven't received anything like that.Instead the customer care is not responding.Its really pathetic to see a company degrading its goodwill for an amount as meager as that.

                  Dell Studio — Product is not good from the day one

                  I bought a Dell Studio Laptop S540218IN8 - Dell NEW Studio 15 Laptop from dell service tag no. 91333bs. From the day of started I am getting problem in this laptop. After fixing one problem another problem getting occur. I need that Dell has to change my laptop because from the day one I am getting issues in this from the day of purchase.

                  You mistake is not that you buy a Dell.

                  Your biggest mistake is that buy it from Online. If you purchase it from local Dell Dealer, such things would not be happen. Dealer wants to built their Repo, these hopeless MNC dosent care for such single customer's complaint. They always go through with their routing basic guideline.

                  I am sorry to say but people like you encourage those elements who do deals direct with customers and buypass their Dealers
                  I agree. I have the same issue with my Dell Studio computer. It is hardly over a year and it shuts down when I move the computer from one place to another. Sometimes I wonder if they are selling re-furbished computer as brand new. At this point I just to buy Dell anymore, they just break within months o[censored]se. I have never seen Dell acknowledging they have had enough issues with some computers to recall them. I hope they read this comments.

                  DELL — refund not received

                  i had booked a dell desktop on the 17jul2010 at croma, juhu, mumbai.
                  the order was lost by dell and they had no record of it when i followed up on the 1st of august2010.
                  i cancelled the order on 3rd of august 2010 and was told that i will get the full refund in 15 working days.
                  its much more than that and the refund is yet to be processed. and i get evasivce answers when i ask the people at dell, bangalore.

                  Dell Studio — Suddenly not operational

                  My laptop Dell studio no. 5FB94BS1555 was alright but suddenly it show black screen and thereafter it is not operating.

                  Laptop doesn't work properly

                  Since the first day i have bought my laptop(DELL Inspiron 14), 5 months old, the laptop does not work properly. It hangs a lot and most of the times its keys does not operate at all.

                    Sir, I have been using Dell Inspiron 1525 since Jan 2009. I am really unhappy with the product because the silver flanks started fading in less than a year's time. Right now it looks ugly..... I would like to inform you abt the increasing dissatisfaction among dell customers about such things. I request you to take necessary action asap. Either you take necessary action or get ready to lose all your customers to smart laptop companies with much better customer care.

                      I placed an order with Dell on 05 feb 2010 , Sale representative was Mr Prashanth. I told him clearly that i want it before eve of 09 feb 2010. i told him that i am gifting this machine to my younger brother who is moving out on the eve of 09 feb. he told me that it will be done and i should made the payment.

                      to my shock for two days he didnt send me the confirmation mail and after 2 days when i remind him about it than he told that he will send it in next 10 min and i will get order after 10 feb.

                      i am posting the mail communication after that. I WILL SAY NEVER TRUST DELL

                      Please refer to my order number 0507341 and customer number 1012411 , I placed an order on 05 Feb 2010. The salesperson was Mr Prashant Bhat.I specifically told him that its a gift for my younger brother who is leaving Delhi on 09 Feb 2010 evening, so i will require my machine max as late as 09 Feb afternoon.

                      But its extremely bad on his part that till today morning I was not having my order confirmation mail and this also i got after ringing Mr Prashant twice. Till now machine is in company only and I dont think that I will be able to receive it by tomorrow afternoon.

                      If you will check your records than you will find that its my fourth machine from dell and I never expect this type of behavior from Dell.Today I left two voice msg for Mr Prashant to contact me but I think he is more concern for taking orders till the time payment only not after that.

                      I will appreciate if you look into the matter and see if I can get my order by 09 feb evening, as it is its my last dealing with Dell.

                      I made it very clear that I require the order before 09 Feb evening and that day you told me that it will be done and you will send it through express delivery . Sorry that I am not having any recording for the same as I never expected this unprofessionalism and now dishonesty from a Dell representative. I clearly told you that I am gifting it to my younger brother and he will be leaving Delhi on 09 feb evening and that time you never told me about 10 days commitment.

                      10 days might be the standard time of delivery but to trap a customer you told me the wrong time and now I am suffering on account of your dishonesty.On 05 feb after my payment you told me that I will get my order confirmation Email in next 10 min and it was me who remind you about email on 08 Feb.                         I ordered a Dell Studio 15 laptop on 5th January 2010 (fully charged on my credit card), on 12th January I made certain changes to the conifiguration based on an advertisement email sent by Dell for an Intel i5 based system. I was assured by the sales rep that the new order would be uploaded and shipped and that the old order would be put on hold (email confirmation in writing). I waited for the new order confirmation and finally about 7 days later (after repeated emails and phone calls to Dell) I was told that my old order had shipped and therefore I should reject the shipment when I receive it (email in writing). I did so on 21st Jan. Then when I kept followed up on the status of the new delivery I was told that it would take 6 weeks to deliver because they would have to first retrieve the old order from the courier service; also they now relised that i5 systems are not available (I have a mail from another sales rep confirming delivery of i5 based Studio 15 systems in 12 days). One thing for sure NEVER ever believe what a Dell Sales Rep is telling you-they seem to be specially trained at misleading customers.

                        Anyway I asked them to cancel the order and refund my money. Now since 22nd January I have been made to run from pillar to post (innumerable phone calls and emails) in Dell Sales and Customer services. They keep promising and making committments but haven't honoured or met a single one till date. Another lesson forget not believing sales at Dell - don't believe anything that anyone at Dell tells you pn the phone or on email they have no intent of honouring anything!

                        In frustration I have now written to Sameer Garde (MD of Dell India) and also Sekhar Doraswamy (Director FInance) last evening. I intend to write to Michael Dell (CEO of Dell Inc) and the Board of Directors of Dell next. If that doesn't work then I will file a legal case against them for cheating, harassment and mental agony.

                        If anyone else is suffering at the hands of Dell - write to me and I will provide you the mail ids of their India and Worldwide senior management who you can complain to as well. Meanwhile it is going to be my mission to make sure I tell as many people as possible to never buy from Dell.

                            I placed the order with DELL on FEB 1 and Dell offered FREE NEXT DAY SHIPPING on the systems; 2 days later I got an email notifying the production delayed, then the next day they canceled my account with reason due to the shortage of the part and they were unable to fulfill their order; I was so mad because I bought this systems not only for me but for my other relatives; I called DELL customer service then they played the game transfering me around around until I completely lost my patient;
                            I don't know if this complaint cant be seen by DELL managers, but the way Dell does business or treats customers are unacceptable;
                            Dell should learn HP how to satisfy customers; I ordered HP laptop before and HP had the same problem; they sent me an email to notify the delay and for the compensation HP also offered $50 coupon for the next purchase; then 3 or 4 days later Hp shipped the system to me;

                              I had purchased a Laptop, Dell Inspiron 1545 (C2D/3/320/win 7) with carry case S/N : G4Z64BS for Rs 36,300/- from M/s ark systems, Nehru Place, New Delhi on 26.10.2009 vide Invoice No. 4855 dated 26.10.2009. Since, 30.1.2010, its charger is not working and due to that battery back up failed and the laptop is not working. Kindly do the needful and replace the charger at the earilest.                                 I had purchased a laptop bearing model no. vostro model 1510 , for which i had paid Rs. 39 , 600 /- excluding delivery /courier charges which is Rs.500/- through the indiatimes shopping site.

                                The laptop was delivered to me at my residence and I have got the invoice of one of your Franchisee/dealer-TEKNIX and as per that invoice laptop model dell vostro 1510 , invoice dated 4th may 2009 , vide invoice no. 341 and name of the seller is TEKNIX.

                                Only within 2 and a half month of purchased, I had started facing problem in battery backup. For resolving the problem, I tried many times to contact the Company/dealer/franchisee, but dealer number i.e. TEKNIX could not be contacted due to the reason unavailable. Despite all efforts neither I am able to get the customer care complaint email id of Dell nor of your dealer, TEKNIX. The number provided on the invoice is [protected] is not available at all time.

                                I had then searched one of the contact and customer care details on the carton of the Laptop. It was for my shocked and surprise that the amount/MRP mentioned on the carton for that Laptop is Rs. 33,000/- for which they have charged me Rs. 39,600/-. I had mailed my detailed complaint on the customer care id of dell company and also got the reply from the customer care that they will shortly revert on the same very soon, but till date their revert is awaited. They have also issued many complaint number from the customer care on many occasions.

                                In the month of December, the battery problem got increased at the highest. When contacted, requested, and finally shouted on the executive on phone, atlast the said battery was replaced and the problem was rectified in the month of December after facing many mental tension and harassment.

                                At that point of time also discussed MRP issue with the company but they didn't paid any heed to my request. They simply deny my compliant and revert with a simple reply that they are unable to track my purchase details, ever after providing all the details as mentioned above. They were just ignoring their liabilities and keep my deffered on one pretext or another.

                                I have faced many mental tension for recover my extra amount of Rs.6,600/- paid to the Dealer/Franchisee.

                                Prayer: I pray to this Honourable forum to make liable the dell company and the distributor/ franchise/ dealer for charging more than MRP. Kindly grant me compensation for an amount of Rs. 50,000/- on account of cheating, mental torture, mental harassment on many occasions. Further, I kindly pray to this Hon’ble court to direct the Franchisee/Dealer/Company to refund me the extra amount of Rs 6600/- charged along with the interest @ 18% P.A. from the date of purchase till the date of realisation.

                                  Just after a 1 year of purchase, batteries are facing some serious issues. Even it is asking me to replace my batteries. Batteries are gone in just 1 year.
                                  If this is the quality catered by company like Dell, what could happen if we go for other brands?
                                  I paid highest price, when compared to other brands for same configuration, & am getting such kind of worst quality products from the so called leader in PC/Laptop industry.
                                  It is cheating its customers.

                                    I enewed windows XP on my laptop (Vostro 1015) but when I install the audiodriver I get this message "Driver Installation Failed: Couldn't find the MEDIA device for the driver" so what is the solution, I have just downloaded a new copy of the driver from the internet.

                                    My Servise Tag is: 20MQ8K1

                                    What is the solution?! Please help.

                                      Hi,

                                      I purchased Dell Studio 14 laptop on Monday 18th Jan 2010 and received the same on Thursday 21st Jan 2010 as it was a working day I checked the laptop after coming from work. Within use of the same for 20 min I started receiving fatal error and system was not booting.

                                      Next day in morning I reported the same to Dell Customer Service and after all there diagnosis (which took about 2 hrs) it was finally concluded that the Hard Disk is not functioning properly, a ticket was raised and on Monday an engineer visited my place for replacing the same.

                                      Even after replacing the Hard disk the engineer was not able to install OS and after his diagnosis (that took whole day) he concluded there are multiple problems in the system (that was a big shock for me as I believed in the quality Dell has) motherboard, RAM, OS DVD and in that also he was not confirm what was the exact problem as he said the problem could be in power supply(so even after replacing the parts he was not sure the unit will work properly).

                                      After speaking to Customer Service a ticket has been raised with for replacing the whole unit but the duration for same as said by the executive is 25-30 days. This is very unprofessional from Dell because they should accept the grievous lack of quality in the product and replace the same urgently.

                                      I have taken this laptop out of some purpose, I am into freelancing, and because of the aforesaid issues good time have already gone in vain and further delay in receiving a good QUALITY unit that is functioning properly would add up to the monetary loss.

                                      When I made the payment I received the laptop within 3 working days but even after sending alot of emails there is no reply from Dell.

                                        I had purchased one Laptop model no. Inspiron 5400 from Dell India Pvt. Ltd.- though online on 18th May'2007. During this purchase I had also taken two years extended warranty for this.

                                        Since last 15-20 days, I am having problem that 3-4 keys (like C,D,E,3) are not getting typed and when it is typing, it is typing 20-30 times at once. I had called many times the Dell toll free number. First they tried to rectify by advising me to do certain things over phoneand it was rectified. Next day the problem reoccurred. I called again and they told me that it is software problem and I need to reload my Operating System (Windoxs XP). When I reloaded the OS Windows XP, the problem continued. Than I called them and they told me to open the key board and re fix it. After doing this it started typing normally and I though the problem was in Keyboad hardware and it was loose. But next the problem started again.

                                        I again called yesterday and now they are saying it is software problem and I need to reload the Operating System again. This is creating lot of problem as it takes lot of time to reload OS and to load all drivers. I had already reloaded the Operation System and it has not given any solution. They are simply trying not to take responsibility and repair/replace the keyboard, which they should do under warranty.

                                        I will be obliged if you can take some action against them as I had paid lot of money not only for hardware but also for extended warranty.
