Recently I am having a bad experience with EMT. Due to medical reasons, I had cancelled my flight booking (Travel date on December 18th 2021). The total amount paid for my tickets via EMT was 13539 Rs.
Once I had explained the medical condition, Indigo Airlines were kind enough to share vouchers for their cancellation charges which is 9087 Rs. Refunded rest of the amount which is 4452 Rs.
Post cancelling the ticket in airlines portal, I initiated the cancellation in EMT portal. Shockingly the email of refund pops up and states that the refund amount is 3552 Rs. I was confused and called airlines. Airlines stated that they have refunded the complete amount. When I called EMT, they were stating till now that they have received only partial refund. Post a 20 minutes of conversation with customer care executive, they revealed that EMT charges 300 Rs for cancellation as their service charge.
I tried explaining that for normal cancellation if you are charging is fine. But for cancellation due to medical reasons charging the customer when Airlines had completely refunded the amount is not at fair.
