I had purchased a Prepaid phone number from IDEA Cellular Ltd. (Branch: Irla, Vile Parle West) in the month of September 2011.
I submitted my verification documents on the purchase of the number. After using the number for 6 days, I got a message on my phone saying that the documents have not been submitted. I re-visited the branch immediately, and I was told that documents are still being processed at their 'control center'. After a week, my phone number was suddenly barred. I again had to visit the Idea branch, and I was told that there might be a problem with the documents and that's why the service might have been barred. Immediately, I submitted the verification documents to the branch employee, Suresh, and I was promised that the phone would start working in the next 48 hours.
The number began working, but for the next two months, I was receiving a message saying that my services are barred because my documents have not been submitted. Irritated and frustrated, I again visited the branch, and I was told that the message I am receiving is just an error in the system and there won't be a problem with my phone.
But today, suddenly after 3 months, my network service was disconnected. I called the employee who promised to help, 'Suresh', and told me that he is not working for Idea anymore. He gave me the contact number of that branch and I called them. A person named 'Hardik' answered my query and he didn't even let me complete my complaint. All of a sudden he started shouting at me on the phone. He was probably messed up with something else and he was releasing his anger on me.
So, the conclusion is, after 5 months of torture, loss of over Rs.1500, visiting the Vile Parle from Andheri over 10 times, getting verbally assaulted by an employee from Idea, I still don't have a phone connection, Amazing.
