Hello, I m Mrinalini from Bangalore and i m trying to book tickets through IRCTC booking system. I observed on 3/7/2014 that SBI has been removed from net banking option. Instead SBI associates has been added ! ( SB Patiala, Mysore, Hyderabad..) please rectify as this option is misleading and does not take the user to select SBI or others, but just to associate selection. Regards Mrinalini

    I was travelling (PNR[protected] from shornur Jn to Nizamuddin on 30/07/2014 in AC 3 tier (B3, Bearth no 17) in Mangala Lakshadweep Superfast Exp (Train no 12617).In the Night time I had kept my handbag under my seat and was found it damaged completely by the rats.The most shocking experience for me was that, when i tried to file a complaint with the TTE, he was asking me for the proof that the bag was not damaged before the commencement of my journey .Somehow I have filed a complaint (complaint No 16460).I felt extremely bad with the experience even after shelling out my money for my safe and smooth journey.I would like to get a fair compensation as a customer whose properties were damaged by the negligence of concerned railway authorities and the mental agony caused to me.

      The worst experience I have got on 1st August night when I was trying to book a ticket. I was trying to book a ticket for 1st Oct.14, in Hate Bazare Express from Sealdah to Harishchandrapur in 2nd AC. More the 20 ticket was left. I have tried lot in the night of 1st October but I have not got no booking option. Even I have tried in the midnight, the site was completely on no booking status. In the next day morning again I have tried to book the ticket in the same train from 6.30 Am to 7.45 Am but I did not get the booking option. At that time more than 20 ticket was left. At last 9.45Am I have succeed to book a ticket in Hate Bazare, but I am compel to book the ticket in RAC. I just want to know how all 21 tickets could sell jut by one and half hour? Even the IRCTC authority can assure that all tickets has booked by the general public? Would they provied any information on the no booking of the site for long hour? We are experienced with the black market of the railway tickets earlier, now we are observing how IRCTC is engulfing by the black marketers. Regards Debojyoti Chakraborty [protected]@rediffmail.com

          Why Sr Citizen category seat availability has been weeded out in new IRCTC Railway On line Booking while booking tickets for older people. Earlier seats were earmarked in each compartment for Sr Citizens as result one could book LOWER BERTH easily for older people but under new format this facility is not sighted any where and older people are forced to climb up upper most berths . This shows disrespect shown by Indian railways towards Sr Citizens & needs to be highlighted to PMO as well to Rly Minister separately. Why can't this would be restored back in the format by improving software. Consideration is requested & NEEDED from IRCTC end/ authorities responsible for introducing new format they might have forgotten their own growing age probably.

          Today I have booked ticket from irctc site vide PNR No.[protected] dated 01.08.2014 from Tata to LTT on Train No.12102 / Jnaneswari Express. My mother is Sr. Citizen at the age of 67 years. I have choice Lower Berth for her, but I have given Side Upper to her. How she can climb at Upper Berth. Availabiliy of tickets there is already 7 Nos. If irctc want they can give my choice, but I don't no by intentially they have done it or not.

            Dear Sir, I, praveen Gupta, travelled yesterday, from DEE to JP, (PNR no.[protected] by DEE Double Daker. The problem I faced with the catering staff that they use to keep the change by saying "abhi aaker deta hu" and that happened to many of passenger's travailing into our compartment. And some of the eating stuff served without MRP printed on it. I have also go threw with "Jago Yatri Jago" column at Irctc.com, My suggestion is that to alive concern complaint numbers on issued ticket itself, so that passenger can take quick action for the same.               I tried to cancel tickets booked through IRCTC but due to their database migration i wasn't able to cancel the tickets as these did not show up in my booked history, hence i called them but no one picked the phone. I sent them an e-mail but it has been more than a month no response

                I booked a ticket on 28/06/2014 for my journey date 27/07/2014 from ujjain to jaipur and my PNR no was. [protected], train no. was 12973 by jaipur express.In your e-ticket scheduled arrival and departure was written 'NA'. When i reached platform on 27/07/2014 evening at 11:30pm it was informed by railway authority that the train was left on 27/07/2014 previous night. on this PNR no. i didnt travelled on that day due to your wrong detail mentioned on e-ticket.It was written on your e-ticket that date of boarding was 27/07/2014 and date of journey was also written 27/07/2014. train arrived ujjain at 23:55 and departure 00:05 but in your e-ticket it was the date of boarding was written 27/07/2014 and date of journey was also written 27/07/2014. Due to your e-ticket negligence and wrong feeding information i could not travelled on my jouner day with my family and it was a big loss for my day leave and mental harrasment side by side monetary loss of next booking by train. kindly refund my full money which comes Rs.2612.47 in my ac.

                  I have booked the tatkal ticket for the train no 12625 (refer below for the E-ticket details). The status of my berth was waiting only. After chart prepared also the status was waiting. It was not updated as confirmed in the PNR status. Also I didnt received any message from IRCTC that the berth was confirmed. So i did not travel the train. The problem is I am not getting my refund. Kindly check at your end and please provide me the refund.                     Dear Team, I travelled from Delhi to Chandigarh on the below dates and PNR numbers with my Family. Extremely disappointed to see the state of affairs in India's premier trains. The washrooms were full of smell and quality of food was less than what is expected. 29-Jul-2014 : [protected] 25-Jul-2014 : [protected] Despite the recent increase in fares there is no improvement on any of these parameters.                       PNR No: [protected] Date of booking on 29.07.2017 at around 12:20 pm Berth preference requested for Lower, but even if availability exists for lower berth it has been not allotted while booking e-ticket. Requesting for explanation for this and please explain what is the reason behind asking berth preference...? Regarding this issue i have spoken with Customer care executives @ 139, very unfavorable replies received. Hope somebody will help me to understand this system.                       PNR No. [protected] Not allotment of window seat despite availability as I have to travel with my family and small children who requested me to opt for window seats, but despite giving preference I was allotted non-window seat which is insensitivity and unprofessional attitude on the part of railways to have given a non-window seat despite availability and we requesting for it. What is the use of giving window seat preference when they see the age of children and aged people, ladies travelling in the family should be allotted requested seats.                         At dot 8 I saw there were 433 tickets in New Delhi Howrah Duronto. I filled in the details and at 8:03 I clicked the pay option and it shows sorry we regret no tickets available. If within 3minutes the tickets get over then you need to change the system for sure. Either we fill in the details before hand or may be the payment details may be asked to fill in when we register ourselves. Something needs to be done.

                          I got a SMS of confirmation from IRCTC on 27/07/2014, stating that my ticket with PNR number [protected] for date of journey 27/07/2014 got confirmed. Though the ticket was booked for 28/07/2014 with the same PNR, because of this I went through all chaos of travelling to the station and there too I did not get any satisfactory answers. I have both the messages with me, reply at the earliest otherwise I will approach consumer forum. I am attaching the picture of the SMS which I got for the date of journey 27/07/2014. I want compensation for the chaos done.

                            My name is Dr.S.Venkata Rao, 64 yrs, belongs to Andhra pradesh, a senior citizen working in Perambalur medical college, Tamilanadu as a Professor and Head of the Department. In Perangalattur I purchased a local train ticket for Rs.10 to Chennai park, and I catched the moving local train in a hurry (at 4-30 PM), failed to realize it as the 1st class.When the train was at Tambaram, a man in civil dress, probably a railway police(without any ID card or Uniform) told himself as checking crew member took my ticket to his pocket and asked me to get down with my luggage(without claiming any penalty to facilitate my travel to continue in the same train, to catch my reserved train from Central Chennai to Vijayawada in time).He took me to the Chief Boss of checking-crew forcibly, so I missed the train unfortunately. I informed to them about my loss of vision due to cataract, ill heart and diabetes, and my honourable position in the society.As they were not sympathetic to my narration, I asked them to produce me to produce in front of railway magistrate as they failed to collect the penalty immediately in the same train.That Chief Boss told me that I have to stay in railway police station custody that night, and next day only he will produce me in front of magistrate.With self-respect to my age and position, I prepared for that also and asked him to send me to the magistrate or police custody.He personally informed me that with his high-handedness he want to see that people like me will surely get a six months jail and thousand rupees penalty at the level of railway magisrate. The threats to me were (1). I am with a old scar of heart attack (2).hypertensive (3) diabetic and (4) I have to loose my job due to a long imprisonment of 6 months for no reason.This railway crew are completely abnormal 1.not sympathetic to senior citizens with disability, handled me like a criminal, I stood in front of them standing for about 1 hr, not allowed me even to sit 2.They failed to collect the penalty money in the same local train to facilitate my emegency journey trip in the same train to catch the link train3.theatening and black-mailing the helpless passengers with wrong information and false threats.This is a daily continuous story at Tambaram station.At least, the crew is not killing us on the spot on some pretext.How a common man will have a railway travel in Tamilanadu...Dr.S.Venkatarao

                              Dear sir We have booked a ticket from WL to BPL on 26 july 2014 in TAN-Jammu Express(16787). The PNR numbe of the ticket is : [protected]. When we reached the station and waiting for the train, there was a other train Himasagr express (16317) reached station at 7:45. We could not see any other number on the name plates (like 16787/16317). We thought it was a different train not the the 16787 train. When we enquired station matser he told, both 16787 and 16317 tyrains are same. There is announcement from station side also. Finally we missed the train. We need justice for this. We need our money back (ticket money). We have filed a TDR syaing that " PNR Number: [protected] for reason "Train Diverted And Passenger Not Travelled",

                                dear sir/madam, i have filed a TDR for cancellation of travel ticket while the train was more than 9 hours late and the travel done by bus as it was urgent. but the IRCTC mailed me that the train went right time and TDR filed after due time, which is not correct at all. i again made a representation to [protected]@irctc.com twice but no response. pl look into the matter. the details of tickets are as below: PNR No:[protected], dt of journey:23/05/2014. kindly call me over ph, if needed at [protected].

                                  I was travelling in train no. 18426 from Raipur to Balangir on 24.07.2014 in AC 3 tire coach. My observations are

                                  1. The system of Bio Toilet is a complete failure. Whenever I have travelled, I have observed the same. Very bad smell is coming from the toilets. Toilets are not in usable condition. It is very difficult to tolerate even for a minute.

                                  2. Many short passengers are entering into the AC coaches without ticket/reservation. If we restrict, they say that it is a matter of 1/2 hrs., please adjust. Even the TTE is not telling a word to the passengers. All the time when I travel in the train face the same problem.

                                  I hope, you will look into the matters seriously.

                                    I have travelled from visakshpatnam to annavaram by godavari express(12727)
                                    On 22.07.2014. For seat in sleeper class between 17.20 and 19.50 hours i have
                                    Paid rs.200/-(Recept no.T0621286) seat charges for two persons ticket cost being rs.140/- only for two persons. I have seen a tte colleting rs.100/- for two persons without
                                    Receipt(50-50& nothing to railways!). This is done by tte simply putting seat no. On ticket
                                    With the plea that number of bills are to be prepared by him.
                                    After chart is prepared if you sell unreserved such seats at starting points through todays reservation counter or general counter revenue leakages can be avoided.
                                    I observe seat chages for two -to- three hours journey are more that actual ticket cost
                                    And require revision.

                                      GreetingsTeam, I would like to have your support to resolve my issue with IRCTC (Indian Railways). I havebeen following up with IRCTC through emails on email id - [protected]@irctc.co.in since last 20 days but I amnot getting any fruitful response from there side, from my experience I would have to say that they(IRCTC) just take customer for granted. Brief Summary of the issue – On Tuesday (1st July 14) at around 9.30 p.m., I had tried to book 4 tickets for 5th July 14 worth 9582.47 Rs. from Delhi to Mumbai By Train - NDLS BCT PREMIUM (Train no. - 22914) but somehow the transaction got failed, then after some time I booked another set of 4 tickets for 5th July 14worth 9582.47 Rs. from the same train. But then later on I came to know that IRCTC has confirmed my both transactions, the failed one and correct one and since the train is premium train so cancellations are not allowed in such trains so bottom line is I had to suffer a loss of 9582.47 Rs. /* Detailed Summary of the issue – I would like to bring to your knowledge that on Tuesday (1st July 14) at around 9.30 p.m., I booked 4 tickets for 5thJuly 14 worth 9582.47 Rs from Delhi to Mumbai By Train - NDLS BCT PREMIUM(Train no. - 22914) but the transaction got failed and money was deducted from my account and also I did not receive any message from IRCTC. I had also provided the snapshot of the failed transaction from the IRCTC site to the IRCTC team. After that I called my bank(SBI) to confirm the same, they also confirm to me that the transaction has been failed and I will receive my money within 3 days. After that I again booked 4 tickets for 5th July 14 worth 9582.47 Rs from the same train and also got the confirmation message from IRCTC but after some time when I checked the booked ticket history on IRCTC it is showing all 8 tickets(previous 4 and latter 4) as booked. PNR No. of previous 4 tickets - [protected] (Booked from SBI bank, account no. - [protected]) PNR No. of latter 4 tickets -[protected] (Booked from ING vyasa bank, account no.[protected] Ticket Passenger Details - 1. ManjuBansal 2.Neeti Gupta 3.Ayush Bansal 4.Shyam sunder Bansal (Scanned copy of pan card of Myself-Ayush Bansal had also been provided to IRCTC.) So basically duplicates tickets had been generated for me Since it is special train so money would not be refunded through normal cancellation. Now point to be noted that, when we had traveled the journey on seat no- B7 57, 59, 60 & 62 (PNR:[protected]) then TT has also mentioned on the chart that we have re booked seat no -B7 49, 51, 52 & 54 (PNR:[protected]) due to some technical misunderstanding.. */ So on the same node, I would request your support on this issue and help me to get my money back from IRCTC.
