    Hello Sir,

    I need your help for the refund of my money for the tatkal ticket I booked from Bhusawal to Pune. Firstly I reached to railway station of Bhusawal 3/4/2011 to catch the train as per the plan. And when I enquired about the train status I got to know that it was 8hrs late. It was seriously a pain for me to wait for that long and this late enabled me to miss my work related meeting scheduled next day at Pune. So I had to drop my plan to board the train and had to go to my relatives house becuase it wasn't possible for me to wait in the waiting room which was pathetically maintained with lots of mosquitos dying to suck my blood. It really felt me that trusting Indian Railways is no more an good option; instead if I would have travelled by sleeper bus I would have reached the destination in time and attended the meeting. Also I got to know that the train is late by 6-8 hrs on every day basis adding to my frustation. Why dont this railway corporation update the scheduled time of the train late by 8 hrs, it will really help the people getting frustated unnecessarily. I was strangled for almost 4 hrs unnecessarily only to take the decision not to board the train and skip my work.

    I filled TDR on 3/4/11 however within week IRCTC updated TDR status as "Forwarded to Railways", I was so happy at the prompt service. Perhaps soon it resulted into my disappointment as I couldn't see any changes in the status week by week. Now it has been 95 days and I dont have any update.

    I woud request you to help me refund my money ASAP.

      hi i m bikash jha from tiruvannamalai district which falls in tamilnadu state.
      at 6:30 i tried to book a train ticket in ganagasagar express (3185 train no.) from sealdah to darbhanga on 26/09/2011 for mr. p c jha but unable to know whether ticket is booket or not . but my a/c is debited. one error message came "REDIRECT=https://www.irctc.co.in/cgi-bin/bv60.dll/irctc/booking/bankrespon...
      ".
      please rectify that whether tickrt is booked or not if not booked please return the same amnt in my a/c. i will book again.

        I have booked railway ticket in the internet irtcc portal. the ticket is not booked. but my indian bank account Rs. 652 is deducted in my account. Ref.67659211 Dated 03/07/2011 time 18.24 indian bank. so many email to and phone there is no response. So take necessary action and refund the amount as an early thanking you.

          Dear Sir,

          I am Ajay Kumar Napit I Booked Eticket From Irctc Railway Dt.[protected] but unfortunetly we missed the Train and after that we travelled by other train then we lodged a TDR Complain for refund money. IRCTC Railway denied my request saying that Passenger has Travelled But I have a Proof that we did not travelled. We travelled by other Train The Picture of my journey railway ticket is attached for your necessary information and action.

          This case has taken already a long time 2 month past. I correspondence with IRCTC Railway ([protected]@irctc.co.in) many time but they are not giving any response that is why i lodged a complain. I hope you will help me out from here.

          The Statement From IRCTC Railway i received by Email it was:

          (REGRET Dear Customer, With Reference to your PNR No:[protected], we regret to inform you that refund is not admissible as informed by Railways through their letter no : RF1/05123/10-11/C2/24.05.11/NR and the reason being : 405-NR/71 As per records Passenger(s) travelled on the ticket. The case is repudiated. In case you require any further assistance, please mail us at [protected]@irctc.co.in or call us on[protected] With regards, TDR TEAm)


          My Statement about My Train Journey:

          I am giving you inform that this is totally false regarding Passenger travelled PNR Number: [protected] Train No: 12011
          when we reached the station unfortunately train is passed away because Mine Train From Bhopal to New Delhi G.T.Express arrived on that day at 7.40 a.m. in the Morning dt.23.04.2011 for your information and further we reach our destination (Kalka) by other train (Pachim Express). This is wrongly statement by Railway & need to be corrected.

          Kindly Please Find Herewith Enclousure of my Journey by other train as a proof at your end.

          Kindly make also confirm and take action seriously regarding our case and refund my TDR amount as per as soon because 2 month delay already.

            irctc e-ticket — money transation

            i booked a E-ticket on 1 MAR 2009 for date 7 MAR 2009 from ALD to BBS & RS 377.00 amount has been debited from my HDFC BANK account([protected]) towards IRCTC & got a waiting list ticket, then during my journey TTE checked my ticket and i have been panalished with an amount of Rs.607.00 . So i want to get back my above money as soon as possible, as per the norms the amount should be credited within 4 business days.
            I tried to book ticket on 20.03.09for journey from NJP to Sealdah on 12.04.2009 in 2344 dn. train. Ticket fare has been deducted from my ITZ cash card no.[protected] and[protected]but no generation of ticket by IRCTC. Now, I want either my money refund or ticket be issued. Please help. Complaint made on 20th itself but no result. Please help, my cell no. [protected].
            I booked four e tickets from haridwar to allahabad for 04.01.2010 on 16.12.2009 and an amount of Rs 3800.00 was charged from my sbi account two times. One amount of Rs. 3800.00 was refunded to my account on 21.12.2009 but till date neither my ticket has been issued nor the amount has been refunded. Please let me know the status as tomorrow is the date of journey.

              I have tried to book the eticket online for Garib Rath Kochuveli Yeswantpur on 8th July 11 that time ticket available was 400 change.I have given two lower Berth and mention the Kid less than 1 Year.But it booked SM and SU.How can I ask to Take less than six month baby to SM or SU. Fo this I have booked the Ticket again and it results the same SM and SU.Where I lost 120 +20 for my ticket.I have checked with Jayanagar (Bangalore) Railway Booking center the official told soft ware not allowing to book LB why????
              Please do the changes in your software where Kids below 2 Year if mentioned in your booking field then provide the Lower Berth for those customers.

              For this I have contacted 139 they gave me a number [protected] and I contacted the number.That was horrible experience for me.One Rude,Ruthless arrogant person Named Ramesh @5.56PM on 25th June 11.started arguing with me that that can not be issued to general public its only for Pregnant woman and SR Citizen .Ok this can be answered polite.He told me if you want to Travel ,"Travel else do not travel.".
              Please guide those persons to behave properly to the customer.My query is then what about Kids with Women who can't lift upper berth.

              Also mention in the e Ticket screen that " its only for Pregnant woman and SR Citizen".

                irctc has not refunded my money (around 2000 Rs.), in spite of TDR file and administration approval.
                i have filed TDR in nov. 2008, but there is only refund under process for more than ten months.
                usually it comes in maximum 3 months.i have been frustated.

                Dear Sir / Madam,

                I am forwarding you complaint (TDR) against Pnr no.[protected]. On 18. August 2014 we (4 persons) had a reservation from Ahmedabad to Mumbai. While me and my wife boarded the train my father and my mother were unable to do the same because of their ill health. So I toook in written from the TTE and filed the TDR for My Father and My mother tickets, within the stipulated time as mentioned in the IRCTC Rule Books. But to my dismay, on 24 August, 2014 I received a mail from the IRCTC TDR team, [protected]@irctc.co.in, as mention below


                "With reference to refund against PNR Number [protected] with reason Passenger Not Travelled., it is advised that Railway has introduced Enhanced Coaching Refund System (ECRS), through which e- ticket refund cases against which TDRs are filed are directly registered and transferred to the concerned Chief Commercial Manager/Refunds. TDR filed against PNR Number [protected] was neither registered nor transferred by the system to the Chief Commercial Manager/Refunds with reason TDR was filed beyond the prescribed time limit."


                I request you to please resolve this case as soon as possible and arrange for my refund.

                    I booked e ticket-on 9.5.2011 in IRCTC and paid the amount through SBI internet banking. The amount of Rs 1305 is debited thrice for the same ticket and-only once it is refunded in my S B account on 11.5.2011. So it had been doubly charged for my e-ticket.

                        Dear Team,

                        Myself Passenger travelling from Nellore to Chennai on June 20, 2011 in Charminar (S3, 60).

                        My concern here is how can an RAC person allowed from Hyderabad to Chennai when his ticket is not confirmed. What is that TC is been doing, passenger who is travelling with out confirmed ticket should move to General Compartment.

                        I am surprised to see that TC was least bothered when RAC passenger was missbehaving, do the needful of going forward passengers who already booked and confirmed will not face this problem again.

                        FYI I am traveling in the same train and writing this complaint; I am sure that this would be taken care...

                          I made one ticked from Delhi to Mumbai journey date 16/06/11 in tatkal, but ticket was not booked and money deducted from my account why the money is deducted when the ticket was not book who will pay the penalty for this , today i have booked the ticked, bank deducted the booking charges also which was not refundable, it happens so many times is there any legal action to take, or who should pay the penalty, please do the needful..

                            online railway booking on irctc.co.in is so fullish.because in the morning 8 am this site could not be open .
                            indian railway department selfly down his server for personal users and a counter booking of personal passangers they work only for his agents.suppose i[censored] need a ticket from murtajapur to mumbai in vidharbha express or a ambanagri express on date 15th june then u see onlineits a waiting ticket or a regret but u cancall to agent RAMESHBHAI at murtajapur he give a comfirm ticket in sleeper or 3rd ac on date 15th june journey.
                            so it is clear that railway department only work for his agents only not for a passangers/customers.
                            railway ministry only work for money. rail minister mamata benerjee only work for paisaa(money) not for his country. kyonki bhaiya sabse bada rupiya

                                  I am attaching a screenshot in which its clearly showing how backend business of IRCTC is working. I took this screenshot on 11th june 2011, means i can book tatkal ticket till 13th june 2011 but as you can see booking of 14th june is also going. How can this happens??????? It means some IRCTC are doing backend business. When i checked tatkal status of 14th june on 10th june it was showing 280 seats but on 11june its showing 139. Same type problems i saw in other trains also.
                                  Earlier there was no such types of cases atleast IRCTC were showing correct figures.

                                    i am facing problem for opening my IRCTC account as it needs verfication of ID and mobile but no body is lifting telephone at IRCTC Customer care centre.I have sent 2 Mail but no reponce for sending Email id Verification password and Mobile verification password. I have to canceeled some Tkts but not possible as account not opened as nobody is helping now i am sendind my complaints to consumer forrum as well as Railway ministry.

                                      I was Travelling from Dadar to satna, I am submitting this reply while reached my destination train B2 Coach # No 13 berth, after having my RUBBISH FOOD Supplied by IRCTC catering Staff. Today is[protected] @ 12:34 PM IST. My PNR Ticket# 94RM45F60H and blank paper ticket no. is C206164 Train # 12141, Ragendra nagar super fast train.

                                      Since on ie. 8th June 2011 wednesday, when I boarded this train from Dadar Central to satna at 23:42 PM, When IRCTC Staff came on 9th june morning at 9 AM and took an order for Lunch and when I asked him what is available he said only Veg. meals. I was left with NO option and I asked him to bring one, when he brought it, I took one spoon and it was Rubbish, I could not eat even one spoon of rice and curd was also sour and stinking. I had NO option than to throw that veg.meals (as it is named) in the Drain. I made a complaint to the staff who brought it & why its price to high(65/- without water,paranthe,pickles,paneer) he said what can I do? we don't have any control over it & Fixed price.

                                      Sensing that, he is a poor staff I paid him for the Lunch Packet which I had thrown in the Drain.

                                      When Contacted Catering Manager in ths train. Despite my several calls he didn't come with the complaint book & When i imposed him for complaints book so they used very abuse language.which i dont want 2 share with the passengers of indian railway.

                                      The Catering is been done by: Mr. Rakesh sharma, M/s Sunshine caterers pvt ltd.(LIcenses Pantry Car 2141/2142.)

                                      IRCTC is Providing WORST/RUBISH Food to its Travellers & it is too costly also.
                                      There is NO Link on www.IRCTC.co.in for Complaints regarding Catering / Supplies in Running Trains.
                                      IRCTC has Mordenised in just Booking eTickets, Putting Google ADs and Earning Revenues from that but NOT Providing Good FOOD & WATER to its Travellers.


                                      I APPEAL to the Honourable HIGH COURT, they should NOT ACCEPT the Letter from IRCTC that they have improved their FOOD, just by giving MONEY & Contract to IMRB they have managed to get the Certificate.

                                      Can any one SUGGEST, where can I File an Official Complaint against IRCTC Catering Department Head, it seems they are EARNING TONS of Money as BRIBE from these Catering Contractors due to which General Public travelling in these Long Distance Trains have to FACE the Difficulty of travelling.

                                      Some thing should be done in this regard URGENTLY.

                                      I would again say that even a dog cannot consume this type of stale Food.

                                      Better pay heed to my complaint, or else I be forced to go ahead.

                                        IRCTC has come up with a fancy but useless verification system. Everyone who is updating their their contact information is getting penalized by it.

                                        Quite obviously, they are technically too backward to handle such a simple mobile number verification feature. Many websites are supporting this feature with ease but not our irctc... I wonder who are the technical behind it... This is my case:

                                        I have never received any mobile verification password so far.
                                        I had updated my new mobile number on June 3, 2011 but since then the account is blocked.

                                        IRCTC has sent email verification password but no mobile verification password.
                                        Consequently, the account is blocked and I cannot login anymore, for booking tickets.

                                        To reiterate my problem, this is an existing old account.
                                        I have just updated my new mobile number.

                                        Today morning, Mr Amit, from IRCTC, called me and committed that he will send me the mobile password by email (wierd) by 5PM, but until 8:40PM there is no such email.

                                        I have tried called 100 times to customer care which is very slow and a long queue to ask this question. The customare care people are also helpless. They just repeat the same thing everytime, "tomorrow", "tomorrow", "tomorrow" ...

                                        Please let me know the higher authority contact / email for escalation.
