My user-id got deactivated.
They(IRCTC) are saying that a person should not have two user-id's
Why is IRCTC harassing us like this. By deactivating a user-id, IRCTC is encouraging people to create more user-id's. This will in turn create a problem. Thay have put a ceiling on monthly bookings(10).
Do they feel that people will travel only 10 times a month? Many people travel more than 20 times a month. Why don't they revise that ceiling? If they would have increased that ceiling to 20, many people wouldn't have created additional user-id's.

Did they ever think about the facilities that are being provided by them?
What kind of facilities irctc is providing in their canteens?
Non hygienic food is being served in many places at very high price.
Did they ever conducted a customer feed back survey?
More fraud is done through offline bookings than online bookings.
To cover all their inabilities they are doing these kind of Deactivations.

This is really a harassment from IRCTC.

    Dear Concern,

    I had booked two tickets of 3AC from Anand Vihar to Bareilly to Train no 12552, PNR No is [protected]. Ticket was confirmed in coach G7 Passenger Name Anurag Saran Seat NO 0077/SM &Passenger Name Swati Saran Seat NO 0078/SU . But train route was changed due to Gurjar Andolan. We didn't journey on that day this train because train was not going to Bareilly it was going through Kanpur and Lucknow .Total Amount i have paid 552 for two tickets .I file TDR for those tickets on 17th March 2011, but till date on refund I got in TDR status it is showing Refund Status . Refund under Process the Reference NO ekt[protected]. Kindly try to refund my ASAP. still 3 months already complete for this issue . Waiting for your response.

    Dear Concern,

    I had booked fore tickets of SL from BBS to BSP to Train no 18507, PNR No is [protected]. Ticket was confirmed in coach S5 Passenger Name 1. PANCHU NAHAK 29 Male CNF S5 10
    2. MEENAKHI NAHAK 24 Female CNF S5 15
    3. KABIRAJ NAHAK 35 Male CNF S5 13
    4. REENA NAHAK 27 Female CNF S5 12.

    But train LETE 09:30 HRS. We didn't journey on that day this train because NEXT train LEAVE FROM BSP STATION.Total Amount i have paid Rs. 1282.90 * for FORE tickets .I file TDR for those tickets on 22 DEC 2015, but till date on refund. Waiting for your response.

      I Vikas Tripathi had booked tickets for a journey on 10.05.2011 evening 4:30 p.m. almost, from New Delhi to Dhanbad for three people and return journey on 12.05.2011.

      The PNR for journey from New Delhi to Dhanbad is [protected], and the PNR for return Journey from Dhanbad to New Delhi is [protected].

      Now due to some reason i have to cancel the trip.
      SInce morning i am trying to login in www.irctc.co.in , site is not working, i had tried to take help from my friends in Delhi as well as in gurgaon, but site is not opening anywhere.

      And i am trying to reach IRCTC customer care since one hour before lodging this complaint on these numbers of IRCTC customer care
      Tel.No.[protected] Fax No.[protected]. Customer Care No.[protected], 23344773, 23340000.
      But i am not getting answer anywhere, numbers are either engaged or not answered.
      Now as per the clause of railway refunds, if cancellation is done within 24 hours of train journey is done, minimum flat rate or 25 % of ticket value which is higher is deducted, here i am trying my best to cancel the tickets before that 24 hour deadline, but there is no option exercisable for that.
      So it is my fault that tickets are not cancelled.

      Asking for appropriate action.

        i am Narendra , i frustrated with irctc website. i want to know the process behind arranging TATKAL reservation. How can a broker(reservation agent) set a ticket of waiting list num 84 get confirmed. And they are demanding 1000 to 1500 rs extra charges for a ticket. now, a common man can not take a tatkal ticket in irctc.. y all these fuss,,,, if we take a tatkal ticket ,, i'm sure that won't be confirmed.
        We can't get availability for a trip before one month. i know,, this is a BIG SCANDAL, that a common man can not understand. PLEASE make it FAIR............

          Sir

          I had booked certain tickets on IRCTC. I then wanted to change my email ID. I went on their site and changed the ID. As per their process they sent me a new password to my new Email id. When i tried to access the site through the new pasword, the site asked me to change the password again. HOwever this was not possible, the site did not accept the given password.

          Even the FORGOT PASSWORD link does not work. When I enter the correct answer to the question, the site opens another page asking me to enter old password and new password. If I have FORGOTTEN THE password, HOW do i enter the old password. They shoiuld send me a new password.

          I urgently need to cancel the tickets given but dont know how to do so. MY user id is Delshad

          My login id for irctc is bupadhyay5 which is locked. please send me the new pasword so that i can use my id for official tour ticket.
          While giving the forget password option its shows mssage "your password could not be reset".

            Mein apni family ke saath date 28/04/2011 ko Haridwar se Jammu gaya tha.Mera PNR no.[protected] tha.Reservation coach mein Haridwar se Saharanpur tak daily passenger hamari seat par beth kar gaye the.Hamare request karne par bhi un logo ne hamari seat nahi di.Unhone kaha ki hum kewal Saharanpur tak hi jayenge.Uske baad tum log beth jana.Dailly passenger bina reservation ke reservation coach mein beth kar jate hein aur TTE ya RPF ya GRP unka kuchh nahi kar pati aur jisne reservation karaya hei wo kisi aur ki seat par beth kar jata hei.Yadi koi passenger galti se reservation coach mein beth jata hei to TTE uspar pannality dal deta hei.TTE apni poori power us par dikha deta hei.Dailly passenger par TTE apni power kyon nahi dikhata hei.Reservation coach mein daily passenger ko bethne se roka jana chahiye.

              I am booked my ticket on 04.05.2011 through my SBBJ internet banking But i am not received any booked ticket from my irctc account in the mean time i am login my SBBJ account, i saw that on 04.05.2011 RS.291 cut twice for the ticket purpose.
              My transaction id no is IG49884598 & IG49882248 for that ticket.Now how can receive my ticket ?

              I am Mr. Abir Koley, booked my ticket on 10.04.09 at 4.25pm in HOWRAH MAIL(CHENNAI-HOWRAH MAIL) TATKAL from BERHAMPUR (ORISSA) TO HOWRAH JOURNEY DATE 11.04.09 at 5.45pm through my SBI ATM CUM DEVIT CARD. But i am not recived any booked ticket from my irctc account in the mean time i went to check my SBI ATM, i saw that on 10.04.09 RS.427 cut for the ticket purpose.
              My tranisition id no is [protected] for that ticket.Now how can recieve my ticket ?
              kindly note that i have reserve ticket for Diva to Vilavade (Diva Passenger) in tatkal but forgot to take ticket print out as well the PNR and Transaction ID I am trying to receive this from Irctc but can't get proper answer because it's computer generated answers and also tried for customer care line which are not working or engaged
              Please do something to get the print out of the same

                  i have been booking the ticket with the irctc for nizzamuddin jabalpur express on 5th may my payment was made that is the ticket amount was deited from my bank account bt the ticket was not generated. this is quiet embarasing for the railway management and frustrating for me as i was in urgent need of the ticket.
                  i would like the management to look into this misdeed and refund me the same amount in my account as soon as possible.

                    Quick book is a facility in the irctc site by which tickets can be booked if you know the train number.

                    For Tatkal booking, Quickbook facility has been blocked from 8 AM to 9AM, forcing online users to go through the lengthy process of searching through the list of all the trains.

                    This ensures that a very small percentage of the people are able to book their tickets online, and the travel agents, who block the manual reservation counters beforehand on any give date, are having a field day.

                    As for the normal tickets, one always finds the status to be waitlisted, even if only a few days has passed from the date of start of reservation.

                    This corruption in IRCTC regarding the booking of tickets needs to be stopped immediately.

                      This is regarding PNR NO. [protected] ( transaction id : [protected] ), You paople saying that i claimed false TDR and close my "dr_rajsu" account. This is wrong you people is not checking clearly and suffering customers. look in to your records. On same day means 23rd November 2011 at 2 PM( after missing our train) we called to your customer care number. u check in your incoming calls list ( [protected]with this number ) . We came by Rajkot express and purchase ticket from Mr. Thomson (i think) at secunderabad station. We did not get the ticket till Thane so we take ticket from secunderabad to pune. This is wrong way to suffer customers. Why i should claim false TDR. I am purchasing so many tickets from your IRCTC, once go through my account. Why i should like that. You people saying lie. Your TC sold my ticket to some other and you are supporting him. Please reopen my account and verify strictly and give me my money back.

                      We have booked e ticket on[protected] from secunderabad to thane in Devagiri Express (train no: 7058), in 1A Class. As telangana agitation was going on the same day (23 Nov 2010) we could not reach the secunderabad station in time and we missed the train.
                      Please find the details regarding this PNR NO. [protected]

                      2. Susheela - Female - 30 years
                      Ticket charges were: 3816 Rs without internet service charge.

                      Out of these two tickets only one ticket was confirmed ( Susheela ) another one was in waiting list ( Rajesh Babu). As we had missed Devagiri Express we came by Rajkot Express which was scheduled at 2.30PM on the same day. We enquired for filing TDR on the same day but the railway officials told that it sholud be done on the next day only so that we have filed TDR for the same on the next day[protected].

                      Refund details in TDR history on[protected] shows that Remarks as ''285-CR/20 as per records Passenger(s) travelled on the ticket. The case is repudiated.
                      Actually we didn't travelled in Devagiri express it might happen that TC in Devagiri Exp might have given our berths to others.

                      From last six months we are trying to get this money back but railway people cheating us. They blocked my IRCTC account without any preior information. I have booked other so many tickets from my IRCTC account. I am suffering so much with these people. I am trying to convince them that i did not claim false TDR but they are not checking properly and leaving customers to suffer.
                      I fed up with these people i dont have more patience. Please do favor for me.
                      Daily my husband and me quarelling with this matter.
                      So please tell me what i have to do write now.

                        I filed TDR but the same rejected on plea that passenger travelled which is completely false.
                        Further, my IRCTC user-id is blocked (de-activated).
                        I have already booked another 4-5 tickets whose jouney is yet to perform and due to blocked of mu user id a lot difficulties are being faced by me.
                        I requested IRCTC for immediate activation o[censored]ser-id but no concrete response.
                        I desired followings from IRCTC/Rlys:
                        1) What actions are being taken by IRCTC/Rlys after submission of
                        > proofs by me?
                        > 2) When my IRCTC account shall be activated?
                        > 3) When refund of TDR shall be made?
                        > 4) What is the provision as per Rly rule for taking actions against
                        > their officials/employees which made me guilty in filing false TDR?
                        > 5) Wether the case is being referred to vigilance?

                        I searched the site for making complain for vigilance enquiry but could not detect such site.
                        The case is required to be taken up on priority with replies of all above desired 5 points.

                          I was trying to book tatkal ticket for 5/5/11 today 3/5/11 8am. When I clicked on the availability bullet, It is showing 'Regret/WL1' from 8.10am onwards. No link appearing for booking the ticket till 9.30am. Please see that same status is displayed for other dates also on which the booking yet to be opened.

                          I just tried to purchase 2nd Ac tickets. When i entered bank transaction password it was successful but while redirecting to IRCTC it showed service not available.
                          My amount got deducted but the ticket was not booked.Please let me know if i will receive my amount back and when.

                          i have booked a ticket in tatkal for mumbai cst from bhubaneshwar and have by mistake made the baording in bhubaneshwar instead of vizinagram.I have to change the boarding from bhubaneshwar to vizinagram.

                          I am Vinod kumar yadav want to know the procedure to file a complaint against IRCTC about ticket booking, I try to book my ticket for native place ( U.P) ON IRCTC Online but ticket is not available shows wating list 71 in a one minute whole train ticket is book and it is impossible. To book a ticket on counter its take 3 to 4 minute how can not even 1 minute whole train seat book.
                          I am sending some details which i saved from IRCTC booking sites please check the detail time .

                            On receiving your letter on 12th feb I was upset as well as felt insulted.I had already informed you before hand that we couldn’t travel on 17th of June 2010 ’cause shaktipunj was 13+ hours late as per the information given by the railway inquiry office of Dhanbad station.
                            And I would like to let you know that we had to travel via bus to Kolkata as we had an appointment with the eye specialist in DISHA EYE HOSPITAL ,Barrackpore at 8.00 AM. on 18th June 2010.
                            We had been in the same hospital till 10.30 AM and returned back on the same day to Dhanbad via COALFIELD express with reservation.I have the documents of Disha eyehospital as evidence and our return tickets can be verified from your records of passengers traveling on that day.
                            I’m writing all this ’cause now it is not only a question of refund of Rs 290/-,it has become a matter of my prestige . I’m ready to bring this matter upto the consumer forum as we have not traveled that day and how can the railway show after 8 months that we have traveled on that day(via Saktipunj, Train No.1447)??

                                This is in reference to the sorry state of online service provided by IRCTC where Tatkal ticket booking is nothing short of a farce in the name of mass railway booking. Being an IT professional, I understand the significance of Hardware support to an online system, and if IRCTC cannot provide hardware support to meet the demands of the traffic that it attracts, it ends up being what it is, a service that only a handful of agents reap benefits of!

                                For the past 7 days, I have been trying to log into this site at 8:00 AM only to get this "service unavailable" message consistently. On calling up the customer helpline, I was told that this issue is encountered as the issue is at the ISP end due to low internet speeds and not the IRCTC end. Today I tried booking tickets through a 2MBPs leased line to allay all such claims and I still encounter the age old issues... "Service unavailable" in capitals they claim!

                                My honest request is if they cannot sustain an online reservation system (in times of peak load... Tatkal being a prime example), they should discontinue the service (and let go of the 7:30 agent window, as they hog onto the system and stop us deserving passengers from availing their so called facilities) and let the otherwise effective queue system continue, till we have a robust corruption free (agent free) system in place!

                                Please, If my plea is rejected, the least I do is expect a reply to know why my request was rejected.

                                  As irctc has deactivated my account naming artijaswa against TDR filed for PNR No.[protected],dated 31/10/2010, total 4 tickets were booked (2 children & 2 adults) but i have canceled 2 tickets out of these and got the refund.But on travel day i.e 31/10/2010 due to some reason,other passanger could not traveled, against which the TDR was filed. The traveling passanger has cleared this to TC while ticket verification that other passenger is not travelling. We are not sure if the TC has sold the ticket to some other stranger passanger without information.And irctc has blocked my id saying fraud TDR filed. I am not able to book my tickets now.

                                      but i dont know what the problem is. i receive one mail from irctc---
                                      Dear Customer,

                                      You had requested for refund of e-ticket with PNR No.[protected] , which was booked using user-id "kedardare ". It is informed that the refund claim has been repudiated by Railways stating that the passenger has already travelled and has still claimed refund.

                                      In view of the wrong claim of refund, the above user ID has been temporarily deactivated.

                                        I have booked by Shatabdi for travel on 23rd march 2010 by exe class for travel from Mumbai to Bharuch. PNR no was [protected] and this was booked through my IRCTC account no [protected].

                                        I had some urgent work and hence wanted to cancel the ticket on 22nd March 2010 and tried to do online but due to some problem in IRCTC website for connectivity with railways, i could not do and finally I wrote to IRCTC that they should cancel it immediately. They replied promptly asking me to send details which i sent. on 23rd mar 2010, after train left, I got a message that I should file tdr. I was angry and wrote to them that they are responsible for this and filed tdr.

                                        I travelled to Bharuch later in different train.

                                        The ticket checker either has by mistake made an entry that I travelled or he sold the seat unofficially( which is quite common in shatabdi and every one knows it), or the clerk who checked tdrs didnot check it properly or IRCTC has committed a mistake, I donot know.

                                        After few months, i got a mail stating that my tdr is rejected and I have claimed fake. I was shocked and I sent the actual trael details and asked them how is it possible that i have travelled on a different train and shatabdi. I remember some correspondence was there later but it is lost now.



                                        few days back, I got an email from irctc stating that my user id is blocked as i have claimed fake. I could not connect the two and i checked the above pnr quoted by them with all my recent transactions and could not match. I wrote back to them that they should give details and it was not pertaining to any of my travels i could trace. after much haggling they sent the details of above pnr.

                                        Luckily for me, the correspondence with IRCTC requesting them to cancel my ticket several hours before train departure and their reply to send details to them which was also before train departure and my reply to them before train departure and their reply to file tdr and again my reply to them were all sent from my official email id and was kept in a folder.

                                        then i remembered about this issue? i sent them the entire correspondence to them and told them that i was the aggrieved as they have not cancelled my ticket and asked me to file tdr and now they are saying that I have made a fake claim and I asked them to restore access.

                                        There was no response from them. Meanwhile, i was travelling to china and i had booked earlier a ticket under pnr [protected] for travel on 25th april 2011 and i wanted it to be cancelled as i was abroad. i wrote to them that since they have blocked my id, they should cancel the ticket but they didnot respond and the entire ticket amount of Rs. 480 is hanging now and I stand to lose it as it has not been cancelled nor tdr is filed.

                                        now i am again travelling abroad going to Korea and my ticket pnr [protected] for travel on 2nd may 2011 for travel from mumbai to bharuch by shatabdi cannot be used and hence i wrote to them to cancel the same. there is no response from them.

                                        I am surprised at the callous attitude of the railways. What is the recourse available to me. i wrote to them stating that i will approach consumer court etc. they are aware that it is going to take lots of time and they can always escape.

                                        i can also provide the mobile records which will show that i was at mumbai on 23rdmarch 2010 morning and left later. but these arrogant people at IRCTC will not bother i presume as they have not bothered about evidences submitted already.

                                        should i write to railway minister or whom? what will happen to a common man who had no evidence and if the ticket checker writes he has travelled when the passenger has not travelled? I want to take it up seriously even if I have to spend several thousands so that these people are punished and they will never dream of doing this to any passenger forgetting that they are public servants and not masters of public.
