There is a landline number 23747238 connected at IRCTC (Indian railway catering & Tourism Corporation)
office at IRCA building near new delhi railway station. My broadband connection is not working from last 20 days.
Last complaint i logged at 23nNovember 2010. Complaint number is[protected]. No action has been taken yet
from MTNL.My office work is getting effected because lacking of internet availability.Today also i logged complaint
again on 1504, New complaint number is 64200095.

    I have booked one Tatkal ticket from Hyderabad to Lucknow, while booking it shows WL/1, second day morning it shows B1-16, CNF (Confirmed), while going checked again, it shows WL/1.

    I have all the proofs to prove them, they are cheating public.

    Can you help me to get justice so that this should not happen to others.
    It is small SCAM but people involved from broker to officer.

    I have booked 5 gn wl ticket from yeshwathpur to dound jn, while booking it shows WL/46, 47, 48, 49, 50, before chart prepred morning it shows rac 41, 42, 43, 44, 45, while going checked again, it shows WL/24, 25, 26, 27, 25. my pnr no.[protected]

      Ticket Booking Online — Online Ticket Booking Complaint

      Respected Sir / Madam,

      I want to book in Tatakl through www.irctc.com, this happen with me 3rd time whenever we try to book my ticket but after 8 am stop working there server. what’s séance if any booking not available online. i cant explain what is my loss. Its happen several time. Most to time at after cross 1 or 2nd stage its got stuck due to bad server connectivity.

      Please weather improve server capacity or provide us alternative option.

      Indian Rly E ticket — amount debited but not booked ticket. also not found in booked history

      Sir,
      I have booked a ticket on 06 mar 2010. Ticket type is e-ticket.from Chennai Egmore (MS) to Dadar ( DR) Train No. 2164. Class 2 AC. Journey dt is 07 April 2010. After making payment through SBI ATM cum Debit Card msg came as please wait, dont press button. I waited till the reservation time closes. The pay hung up. Checked the ticket booked history but it is not there. An amt Rs 1100/- One thousand one hundred debited from my account. Transaction number POSPRCH [protected].

      IRCTC — ticket not booked, Payment not received but account debited

      I tried booking a ticket, however the web-page went off soon after the bank details are entered but the berth is not allocated. THE STATUS IN IRCTC shows payment not received from bank and bank statement shows a debit of 288 rupees towards IRCTC.

      PLease can anyone respond to this on how can I get the amount refunded.

        I had booked eticket from IRCTC through their website www.irctc.co.in. The train was subsequently cancelled and I filed for TDR. The details are as under:

        Indian Railways — Non receipt of refund

        Dear Sir/Madam,

        We had purchased the eticket thru IRCTC. Due to some reason we had cancelled the eticket on 03-Jun-2006

        Its now completed 6 mnths today as the max time is taken by IRCTC for this refund.

        Inspite of the repeated phone calls / email by you through the various correspondence in last 3 months ,we are yet to get the refund.

        This is Prateek Dhanuka from Noida .I had purchased an e ticket for travelling from Delhi to Lucknow for Nov 18th 2007 for 2 passengers .My PNR No. was [protected].The train was delayed for more than 4 hrs and we finally decided to cancel out trip as the purpose for which we were going would have been not fulfilled if we would have reached late .

        But to my horror there was no facility of cancelling the eticket an so i was asked to mail this to IRCTC Customer care which i did and instead of repeated reminder emails and letters by IRCTC to the Eastern Railway where this case has gone for refund has fallen on deaf ears .I have been contacting people here in Delhi and even called up several times in Kolkata also but every time i am assured of something being done .

        But till date no refund has come and there is nobody to listen to the customer .That is what Laluji 's railways is and he talks of all kinds of improvements etc etc ehich i think is all crap .

        Please help me if you can in getting back my refund .

        IRCTC — TDR under process

        Dear Sir,

        A TDR was been filed by me on dated 28th Oct 2008 due to the train delay on date of journey i.e. 27th Oct 2008. The statement I had from IRCTC my account it shows that it is still under process but it's almost 7 months completed but I still waiting for my amount to be credited in my account.         Indian Railways through IRCTC — Non receipt of refund against TDR

        I have filed TDR as per details given below approx 1 yeare back :

        The refund is not received even after nearly one year. Repeted follow ups with IRCTC has yielded no results.
        IRCTC is a rip off. They are stealing money from people. No refunds even if its their fault from the server. We definitely need another stable website for train bookings. I recommend you not to use this website again.

        As per rules of railways one should get refund as per TDR within 60 days after filing TDR but till date i have not received the said sum and its pending fro 3 journeys which were not done

        Indian Railways — Non receiving of Refund

        This is to bring to your kind notice that I have booked my e-ticket on February 23, 2009- for the journey of two persons on date Febrauary 25, 2009 by train BSB Express (Train No. 4236/BE) (PNR No. [protected])Further i would like to inform you that due to some reasons I was unable to board my train on that particular day and therefore I filed a TDR on the very subsequent day(i.e[protected] as per the guidelines mention on the website of Indian Railwyas for the procedure of cancellation of E-ticket.

        I have yet not received my refunadable amount from the indian railways, as per the information available on the site of Indian railways the time duration is of 30 days. Whereas It has been almost 6 mts till date that i have not received any communication or refund from them.

        I would atleast require a update on the website the amount refunded and date by when it would be paid.

        I missed my the Rajdhani express for Kolkata (howrah) from New Delhi on the 21st of August, 2009 due to heavy rains. The irtc agent with whom I had booked my tickets say that the railway authorities do not refund e-tickets after charts have been prepared. This is OUTRAGEOUS because there is something called TDR filing. This is the biggest scam i have heard...just think how many people cannot travel due to various emegencies, does that mean their money goes just like that...this is a SCAM.
        Welcome to the world of non responsible Indian Railways. It is almos a year and upteen number of e-mails that I have send to the railways refund board still till date I have no clue as to when I will get my refund. I had registered my Complaint on 24/10/2008

          I had booked the railway ticket through irctc.co.in site.During the journey time, I forgot to take the ticket printout.When the Ticket examinar asked the ticket, Luckily i had a high end mobile(HTC Desire) through which i can browse internet.I showed him the ticket which is present in irctc.co.in in booked history option.Even then TC charged me Rs 50 for not carrying the printout.I would suggest the IRCTC to validate the tickets shown from mobile.In this way we can save many papers and its eco-friendly.Why cant TC validate the tickets from mobile ?

          Suppose 400 persons travelling in one train and all carrying 1 page printout of ticket booked through irctc.co.in site.it leads to 400 paper wastage.Think so many trains travel in India ? Why still the IRCTC is not advanced in this area ?

          Solution: Tickets should checked through mobile,Since everyone holds the mobile and confirming the ticket through mobile is not a big deal.

            I, Ch.K.Durga Prasad lingam, from Eluru, West Godavari District, Eluru of Andhra Pradesh booked e-ticket Transaction ID [protected] on 1.12.2010 through irctc site but the login was failed at last step of transaction. an amount of Rs.351/- was deducted from the debit card of SBI, Vatluru branch of Eluru account No. [protected]. then i tried second time i got e-ticket from Yesvanthpur to Rajahmundry in the name of the my son Mr.Ch.rohitraviteja vide transaction No [protected] and an amount of Rs.351/- was deducted from my account again. Please arrange to make refund the amount of my first transaction ID no.ID [protected] at the earliest. An early favourable action is solicited.

              I have filed the TDR of PNR No.- [protected] and IRCTC Zone: Chief Regional Manager/Eastern Zone/ Bhubaneshwar (IRCTC) Bhubaneshwar.The train was cancelled due to accident occured in Posaita and now its more than a year that i have filed my TDR and inspite of my several reminders during this period no action has been taken till dateregarding the reimbursement of the amount.This type of behaviour from the IRCTC side intolerable.

                I tried to book an E-ticket on 25/09/2010 twice. Details are as under.
                Amount was transfered from the bank but the ticket was not booked because of the bad server.

                  As I am citizen of India, I regularly travel to my home town at Belgaum by Train . Since I am traveling May 2010 till to date, I have notice that
                  1.vendors are wearing very dirty clothes.
                  2. food items are touched with bare hands ( Same hands are used for holding handle bars).
                  3. Food items are transported in dirty trays.
                  4. Toilets are very dirty. No proper sanitation.
                  5.Berths are very dirty & soily in nature.
                  6.Stations are very rubbish. Every were grass grown, diaposable items dumped on tracks. etc.

                      Most of the time,when i am trying to book ticket in Tatkal, "Service unavailable" screen comes up. This continues from 8.00 am till 9.30 am then the site opens.
                      Attached are screen shots of same.

                      This happens with most of the people.This issue needs to be resolved,so that general public can avail the facility of tatkal services.

                      IRCTC — No response during tatkal booking

                      Dear Sir,
                      Please just put hold on irctc site,as whenever i book ticket at 8:00 am in morning in tatkal, it will never open and will show service unavailable.But before 8:00 am ie upto 7:55 am and after 8:15 am it will not show any response during this 20 minutes, and meanwhile all tatkal quota tickets will be booked during this 20 minutes by all agents and railway authority.

                      I dont understand whether this things are for common people all to make fool them because they are of no use to us.
                      Please take some strict action against them or i will lodge a complain in written in state/high court against irctc organization.

                      I am an individual (Senior citizen) registered with irctc and booking online tickets for quite some time only for me oe my family. To-day I wanted to book a ticket for Mumbai under Tatkal Quota there was a message "bookings not allowed from 8 to 10 AM" what is this?

                        I Have booked a ticket under Tatkal Quota to travel from Davanagere to Pune JN on 23-Nov-2010 at 18:32. Due to some problems i have decided not to travel and cancelled on 22-Nov-2010 at 20:00.After sucessfull cancellation it shows no amount will be refundable(Amount Refundable=0).

                        I seek your kind directions in this regard.

                        I also request you to treat this matter as area of concern.

                        A flat refund of 25% of total fare charged on ticket, excluding Tatkal Charges is granted on cancellation of confirmed Tatkal tickets, which are cancelled up to 24 hrs. before the schedule departure of train. No refund on confirmed Tatkal tickets when cancelled within 24 hrs.of the schedule departure of train. For contingent cancellation & waitlisted Tatkal ticket cancellations, charges will be deducted as per existing Railway rules .

                          The tatkal tickets which are charged 30% higher as per GOI norms are scammed at 60% higher than the actual ticket cost....

                          For Example, if a ticket costs Rs 1000, as per tatkal charges, the ticket costs Rs. 1300, but, the agents and rail authorities sell the tickets in black at around[protected] Rs. depending upon the person's urgency to get one....

                          And the tickets are all sold out by 8:01... that is in even less than 1 minute of time...

                          Dunno if govt can actually take an action against this.. This was however, never the case before 2 years...

                            I have recently received an email from IRCTC stating that I have been selected for a free gift of Rebok Double Glass Time Piece and asked me to get my free gift ! Just cover our gift delivery, promotion and handling charges of Rs 499. (India Today Group)
                            I am frequently buying online tickets since the start of online booking facility. So I believed and was clicking the acceptance link but checked the price of that watch on internet. It is only Rs249/-
                            It is awful that the Govt Department Department like IRCTC is using the email addresses in there server for sending such mails to sell the product of others with fake emails those are received from Nigerians spammers. Government have a great goodwill value and the people belive blindly. IRCTC is taking advantage of peoples' faith.I have verified whether the email has been sent by other spammer. But it is originated from IRCTC IP.

                            IRCTC, New Delhi — Non receiving of proper reply

                            My booked e-ticket with PNR Number [protected] was under dispute. As per local railway authorities its booking status was as WL -1 AFTER CHART PREPARATION where as IRCTC is still repeating it to be as 'CONFIRMED TICKET' and denying to refund the value of the same..

                            On my request to tell me the Coach and Birth Number alloted against the so called confirmed ticket, IRCTC is keeping silence and not replying to my mails in relevant ways so that dispute could be brought to an end.

                            Please help me as non receiving the proper reply from IRCTC has caused much mental tension to me.

                              i have booked 3 different tickets from PUNE to AKOLA of 2113 GARIBRATH and one ticket from KAMPTEE to PUNE of 1040 MAHARASHTRA Exp. on 16 nov 2010. Total number of seats available in GARIBRATH at that time was 435.. and in MAHARASHTRA Exp. it was 11. i gave the berth preference to lower berth, but allotment is SIDE UPPER... It happened three times for 2113 GARIBRATH and one time for 1040 MAHARASHTRA Exp. As i changed preference to MIDDLE berth, i have been allotted the SIDE MIDDLE berth in GARIBRATH...
                              As i cancelled all these four tickets, i faced loss of Rs 320.. WHAT SHOULD I DO NOW??

                              Thats called hitech cheating! The site is well designed to cheat the public. They must allot the seats in one cubicle for people travelling together. They are overlooking the interests of the public for making money this way. I dont understand why deduct money when we dont get lower berth and deposit it back after 3-4 working days.

                                  I had booked an e-ticket having PNR no [protected] and transaction ID is [protected] for travelling from Jammu to Lucknow by Archana Express on 20.6.2010 in class- 2A for following passengers:-

                                  At the time of booking status of my ticket was Wait Listed for all the three passengers. After the chart preparation only one passenger got RAC and other two remained in WL status. None of the passengers boarded the train and I filed the TDR for the refund on 22.6.2010. Since then I have not heard anything from IRCTC. TDR history shows CCM registered. Only God knows when will I get my refund?

                                  I booked a ticket in Garib Rath Bandra – NZM No. 12909 in 3AC vide PNR No. [protected] on 60 days before the date of journey. Due to Gujjar’s agitation from last one week, the whole Delhi-Mumbai track was blocked.
                                  On 28th May 2015 at 20.01 PM, I received SMS from IRCTCI regarding my reservation. (Train No.12909 boarding at BVI dated 30.5.2015 is cancelled by Railways. Pl cancel your PNR No. [protected] online to get refund as per railway rules). After that I cancel the ticket in the early morning but surprised to see that IRCTC deducted Rs. 500/- where I am eligible for full refund, as the train got cancelled by railway authorities which I have received in SMS.

                                        IRCTC General & Tatkal online bookings are not opening upto 45 minutes.It is always showing Service Unavailable. Only after the tickets are sold, the site is opening. Exactly at 8 AM the site will show Service Unavilable error. This is now become usual and many peoples are complaining about this. The same time the agents are able to book the ticket. How it is only possible for agents?. Common complaints heard are the IRCTC management is turning off the e-ticket booking Servers for some time and doing favour for irctc agents and touts.When we can book the tickets normally? Could anyone take serious action on corrupted irctc management?
                                        It is 2012 now, and still, there is no change. Such a shame to the country.
