Hello,

Today (12/10/2010) I have done an online transaction to purchase a ticket on 2281 BBS DURONTO EXP from BBS to NDLS boarding on 17/10/2010 from BBS . Unfortunately after the payment was made through SBI ATM CUM DEBIT CARD paid in two times tried payment gateway, the repeated error found like,
"REDIRECT=https://www.irctc.co.in/cgi-bin/bv60.dll/irctc/booking/bankrespon... " came up without giving me the confirmation of the payment and neither the ticket is generated.

This is really embarrassing situation and IRCTC is expected to help me at the earliest with the ticket if the payment is already confirmed at their end. Kindly refund the deducted amount in my SBI account .

Expecting a reply as soon as possible.

I tried booking a ticket from Chennai to Coimbatore through IRCTC on 28th october. I tried 4 times but the transaction was not processed at all due to server issues. Unfortunately, the amount has been debited twice into my credit card account. The charges are reversed only twice. Is there any escalation procedure by which I can get my refund back? I have the credit card statement that shows the amount debited and I have the booked ticket list which doesn't show these transactions. I dont think we could reach people on customer care on IRCTC. So far I have made 53 calls to those numbers but I am unable to reach them. whats the fastest way to get the refund back? Suggestions/previous experience would be really helpful
irctc is good website but its service and custmercare is very very bad .because i m a authorized angent but i am not able to book ticket due to heavy load on irctc server for that irctc site can not open and i am not able to avail any other service aslo provided irctc .this problem persist from long time (orund 3' weeks )I think i have wasted a money to be an irctc agent .
This is my request and advice to administrator of irctc either take care of these problems or you will loose interest of people in this site and also loose many of your agents.

the customer care provided by irctc is worst of all. they wont pick the call and firstly we cant use all the numbers provided in the website. it remembers me that we are in india.
I have tried to book a ticket from Bangalore to Belgaum on[protected] through IRCTC.co.in
I tried booking it 5-times. At the fifth time the transaction was successful. But unfortunately for all the five times the amount has been debited from my CITIBANK Credit Card account.

Among the five transactions only two times I could able retrieve the reference number which is mentioned below:
• The reservation as per your requested details could not be processed due to one of the following reasons
Communication Failure.
Berth Allocation could not be met.
Compact Accommodation Request not met.
Opening day booking (60 days in advance/ less than 60 days in advance for some trains) is not permitted before 08.00 A.M.

As per the mail from irctc that below mention ticket has got wrong amount of refund and surprised that there are no credit for remaining Refunds and also which are not yet credited in my account even now after months time.

as the cancellation was done on 13- Apr-2008 for the ticket of 26-May-2008 it's a months time and IRCTC not showing any courtesy to give single replay for the Query science in mean time unless and until i was fortunately able to talk to customer care center nos which nos are always busy.

more over after even so many days been passed they are not able to tell me when will complain will get resolved and neither the name of the supervisor / officer who will be handling refund issue. ("we are not allowed to tell you the name.) kindly send us the mail with you query and bank statement of the refund you got. the repaly is very disappointed as was never expected from the services like IRCTC even after so many days of follow up emails.

as the cancellation rules mention:

[ If a confirmed ticket is canceled more than 24 hrs before the

scheduled departure of the train,
flat cancellation charges shall be
deducted @ Rs.60/- for AC 2 Tier/AC 3 Tier/First Class/AC Chair car, Cancellation charges are per passenger.]

We have received the refund amount of only Rs. 930.00 amount and deducted is Rs.: 2160.00
Where as the cancellation & deduction rules describe above some thing else so
my amount should deduct by 60 X 6 that us Rs.360.00 and not Rs. 2, 160.00

I tried booking a ticket from kollam to katpadi junction twice. Both times there was an error in processing and my ticket was not booked... but unfortunately the amount was debited twice from my account. Please note that transaction id [protected], [protected], [protected], [protected], [protected], [protected] was a settlement-failed transaction for which no amount was debited towards IRCTC. That is we didn't receive any payment authorization from your bankers to book the ticket. If at all the amount was debited, kindly send us the scan-copy / screen-shot of the bank statement to pursue the matter.

I didn't find the transaction id or PNR number. But the amount got deducted from bank. Could you please tell me where i will get my ticket. On 06/05/2009 I have done an online transaction to purchase a ticket on 2531 GKP LJN INTRCIT from Gorakhpur to Badshanagar boarding on 07/05/2009 for RAVEENDRA PRATAP SINGH MALE 40 Years of age Unfortunately after the payment was made through SBI ATM cum DEBIT card payment gateway, the error, "REDIRECT=https://www.irctc.co.in/cgi-bin/bv60.dll/irctc/booking/bankrespon... came up without giving me the confirmation of the payment and neither the ticket is generated.The money ( Rs 101.00 ) has already been debited from my SBI acc.but i have not received ticket confirmation

IRCTC - Railway — IRCTC Complaints - REFUND CLAIM FOR PROBLEM IN IRCTC SERVER

I tried to purchase a ticket from IRCTC web site on January 17, 2010 from New Delhi to Siwan on Sampoorn Kranti Express for travel on February 11, 2010. My transaction got aborted without purchase due to communication problems between IRCTC web server and Citi Bank server. However to my astonishment, I saw the bank debit transaction was completed and the money got debited. I called the customer service desk of IRCTC in Chennai. The person who answered the phone told me that there was an error on the bank side. I called Citi Bank customer service, they told me it is Railway problem. Then I sent emails to both organizations and waiting for their resolution. This was my first attempt to purchase ticket on line with IRCTC and probably it might be last.

money deduction from a/c

i bought one ticket from Nizamuddin to yashwantpur on 11.04.2010.i got the ticket but i was charged double the amount Rs4380 has been deducted twice from my sbi a/c (scanned a/c statement is attached, in irctc complaint).there is no records available anywhere for that transaction.irctc is also not replying properly.

Debit card — Escalation for not giving status of debit card

I am account holder of Axis Bank since 2004 at Dehradun branch and my a/c no. [protected].
My debit card has expired in April 2010, After that i approached the bank to know the status
of my debit card but the bank always trying and ignore the request by telling
we have not recieved your new debit card. This happened for 5-6 times .
its been now 15 days i have not recieved the card.why the bank is not giving me the correct
status of my card kindly give me the status of my debit card and kindly revert on this?

IRCTC — Problem in irctc.co.in

I have tried so many times since 1 week but the page is not opening of 'ircrc.co.in' and i am unable to book my ticket online.I think this problem is occured and generated by agents who want to get command on online reservation services. There should be take step against this problem and such problem should be solve out as soon as can possible.this is humble request to you for resolvation of this problem.

I hope you will consider the same and will take some step to resolve this problem.

Both Charged Amonts are Rs 3399 and Rs. 3300.
I booked an iticket via hsbc credit card. The transaction was successful in the first attempt. However when I checked the hsbc credit card statement it showed that I had been charged twice for the same ticket. There is no record of this money anywhere in the failed transaction or refund in the irctc website. Luckily the amount was only of 170 which was doubled.
IRCTC is not helpful. Seems like my money is gone. I will have to think twice before using this service for costlier tickets.

Me sanjeeb samanta was trying to reserve a ticket through IRCTC today from my account"d3sanjeeb" from kgp to puri.
in the planing of travel, the website shows me the 8478 KALINGAUTKAL EXP as a available train from kgp to puri..and as per instruction i had booked the ticket.
but latter the ticket didn't booked.
when i make query about the train root, i came to know that this particular train does not through this route.
aside, the refund status of failed transction shows me that " payment not receive from bank", where as the fare has already deducted from my account.

I shall be thankfull to u i[censored] kindly clarify the fact about my payment transaction and how it was possible to book a ticket in the route where actually the train does nor run.

The service of irctc is really bad, If the concerned people could not handle the load or could not make the error free site or atlease robust sites then I do not think why these people are in business. You can not get an excuse for blaming the server load and all those things everytime, you should think why you are using the oldest technology for these. As a software engineer I can suggest you some technology that can make you excel in your business.
Really it is painful to do a reservation on your made sit. shame on you.
If you are making a site like this then you should not treat it like a college project. But it seems you people are still at that level only.

I have tried to book a ticket from Bargarh road to Bhubaneswar through IRCTC on 26th August. I tried 2 times but the transaction was not processed at all due to server issues. Unfortunately, the amount has been debited twice into my credit card account. The charges are reversed only once. Is there any escalation procedure by which I can get my refund back? IRCTC — IRCTC server down - Request for full refund

Hello Madam/Sir,


I booked a ticket in III AC to travel on September 22, 2011 by Konark express. On the early hours of Septermber 22, 2011, I planned to cancel my ticket which is on status W/L 2. As the IRCTC server was down on that day, I contacted the IRCTC customer care and informed the same and requested them to cancel my ticket. On their advice, I sent a mail to [protected]@irctc.co.in to cancel my ticket and refund the full amount for the follwing reasons.

* The server was down since morning, which did not allow me to cancel my e-ticket
* I have sent a mail to [protected]@irctc.co.in around 12 noon to cancel my ticket, at which time my ticket was still on Wait List status

But, my ticket was not cancelled by the IRCRC authorities. So, I had to file a TDR and mentioning the same reasons. At the same time, I followed up with IRCTC customer care via mails and calls. They assured to look into it and the needful and provided me a Reference no. 1873645.

But, today on Septemer 30, 2011, I got the refund of Rs. 332/- for not travelling. As my ticket was on W/L status at the time my request for cancelltion, I would have got my full amount if the IRCTC server was working. Why should I incur the loss when the IRCTC server was down.

I was trying to book a train from NJP to SEALDAH, but after making the payment using my SBI debit card, the session expired but the money was deducted from my account. I booked a ticket in irctc.co.in through CITI payment gateway, the ticked booked successfully and later a week after i cancelled the ticket but the money was not credited in my respective debited account, later i spoke to irctc custmer care and i even sent an email, they replied that the respective amound had been credited into the account and the cancellation status itself also indicating the same i'e Rs 584 refunded in acount but in fact nothing was credited back into acount.later they replied to my email by mentioning the ARN number, "The refund ARN is generated only when the refund is processed from payment gateway (with Visa/ Master gateway), to respective card issuing bank. If it is not reflecting in your statement as given above then please contact your ATM switch center with above ARN no. to get the refund details (pls get your ATM switch center contact detail from your respective card issuing bank)." I dont know how to reach to ATM swith center..

I tried booking a ticket from Vishakapatnam to Howrah Jn. through IRCTC on 15th March. I tried 3 times but the transaction was not processed at all due to server issues. IRCTC — Refunded amount is less than what actually needs to be

Hi,

I booked my ticket on[protected], for the journey on[protected], but the trains was late by more than three(3) hours, hence I filled TDR Reference No: ekt[protected] and PNR No.[protected], On the same date of my journey.

The ticket fare was Rs.274.00, but IRCTC refunded me only Rs.137.00 on[protected] and as per rule of railways a full amount should be refundable in case of train late by 3hours.

So please do the needfull and refund my remaining amount also.

        I have booked a ticket on[protected] from VASCO DA GAMA to KACHEGUDA, journey date is[protected] for 5 passengers under Tatkal quota. Initially all seats are in waiting list, after chart is prepared, only one passenger seat is confirmed remaining four passengers are in W/L. Usually in IRCTC website it is mentioned that it will take maximum of 90 days to refund the amount. But its already 140 Days, till now i did not get any refund.           the scheduled departure from gwalior is 16.55 but train was late more than 3 hours.
          i did not journey in that train due to late
          when i was cancelling my ticket(at 22:00 o'clock) than it did not cancel.
          i want my money back. plz favour me and tell me the procedure.

          IRCTC/ E-Ticket — TDR file not refunded

          I had filed TDR on 6th July 2010 for PNR: [protected]. But till now it is not refunded. In status it is showing it is forwarded to Railway, but according to railway rule it should be refunded within 3 month. I want justice about it.

          Dear sir,
          My TDR is rejected in case of Party Partially Travelled.How we can travel with e-wait list ticket.We have taken extra ticket and travelled on 29.10.10 and for refund file TDR in stupulate time.

          Lot of time I called at customer care ,lot of time wrote mail but finaly after waisting lot of affort my TDR is rejected whithout valid reason

          Dear Mukesh,
          I have also experienced similar situation wherein IRCTC has not refunded 1700- rupees by regretting the TDR. This is a common problem with IRCTC and it also works like Railways where there is nobody to listen to your claim and corruption eats away your hard earned money.

            I was booking a tatkal ticket on 24-Sep-2010 from https://www.irctc.co.in and after entering the payment details during first attempt, the site went down and the page expired. Then I went into my booking history and found that the ticket wasn't booked. After checking it twice after 5 minutes, I went ahead and booked another ticket and thought the earlier debit from my account would be refunded but then in the afternoon, I saw two tatkal tickets for the same journey.

            The PNR numbers of the two tickets are as mentioned below:

            I called up the customer care and explained them the issue with the irctc website. They told me to send the query to [protected]@irctc.co.in to get full refund but they gave me only 25 % refund since it was a tatkal ticket.

            I have followed up several times by writing mails to [protected]@irctc.co.in but it seems that they have stopped paying any heed to it.

            The compaint IDs that were generated during my follow-up are IRCTC #1491993, IRCTC #1497602 and IRCTC #1503701. I have all the follow-up mails for evidence.

            I request you to look into this since there is no escalation procedure mentioned on the irctc site.

                IRCTC Ltd. — Refund after cancellation of booked ticket

                Sir, I had booked ticket to travel on 31st Dec 2008 from Meerut Cantt. to Rajpura having PNR Number [protected] on 27.12.2008. I could not travel against this ticket since the train was late by more than five hours. TDR filed on 1st Jan 2009 for / as per following details: PNR Number [protected] Booked On[protected] Transaction ID [protected], Date Of Journey 31/12/2008, Reason For TDR : Train Late More Than Three Hours. Refund Date : 06-Mar-2009 Refund Amount : Rs.129.00 against Total paid amount of Rs 279.00. KINDLY NOTE INSPITE OF SEVERAL REMINDERS, I NOT BEING REFUNDED THE BALANCE DUE AMOUNT. KINDLY DO THE NEEDFUL AT THE EARLIEST.
                Again complaint lodged with IRCTC vide No.GAX[protected]. Reply recd as : Dear Mr Raj Kumar Chandwani, Sorry for the inconvenience.                   It is to make a notice to IRCTC. I tried booking my ticket on 05.10.10, between 1-2 pm. I paid the amount of Rs.446, through SBI debit card issued on my name, SUHAIB AHMAD KHAN,no.- 622............2344, but unfortunately, the ticket was not booked. I also confirmed it through checking my transaction of ID with IRCTC. Later I succeeded in booking the ticket at 02:14:13 pm, by paying another Rs.446.
                  So I would like request IRCTC to please look into the matter and return my money,paid for nothing.

                    IRCTC — Time, quality and non-furnishing of cash memos of food.

                    Sir,
                    I, along with other 3 members of my family, had to travel by 2842 Coromandal Express left Chennai Central on[protected]. We were traveling by AC-3 tier in coach B-3, S/B Nos.25,26,27,28 and the PNR NO. was[protected].
                    We took lunch and diner from the railway catering service. The quality of food was not good as expected. Even on demand, the vendor did not supply the cash memo or bill for the meals and breakfast. As such, we could not be sure whether the items and quantity were at par with the guideline of the Railway Authority. In the evening, the diner was served at 7-36 pm by Sri N.Khan, Vendor. When we asked why so early; he replied sarcastically ''Keep it and take afterwards, then it will be in time'' which was not practicable as it would have got cold. In the next morning, we informed the Manager through another vendor to come, but, nobody came. It may also be mentioned that at the time of our outward journey by 2863-HWH-YPR Express on[protected], PNR NO.[protected], no. bill/cash memos were supplied.

                    I booked my ticket on internet by ICICI Credit Card for train No. 7031 PNR NO. [protected] dated 3/11/2007 SL . The amount of Rs. 829.67 is debitted on the ICICI Card but inspite of several reminders to the customer care the amount is not yet refunded.

                    IRCTC — regarding train cancellation

                    IRCTC has got the email for all its customer. I want to say that if there is any train being cancelled, then IRCTC has to send a email regarding this to the customer of IRCTC who have purchased the ticket from IRCTC.

                    IRCTC — Poor service and misbehavior of the attender

                    I boarded 2910 BDTS Garibrath (coach No. G-5, seat No. 31)from Ratlam Station at 11:50 PM on 13 July 2008. The attender came at 12:45 AM for taking the order for the bed roll's and mis-behaved with almost all the passengers. When somebody asked him to decrease the AC temperature he said its not my job and remember you are travelling in Garib rath and not in Rajdhani. Then he came with bed rol's at nearly 1:30 AM, at this time some of the passengers including me asked him why are you so late the again reminded us that we are travelling in Garib Rath and not in Rajdhani.
                    His name is SUBODH SINGH.
                    I just want to ask that wether we were travelling in INDIAN railway or SUBODH Railway. We felt as if he we have not paid the fair.
                    I request you people to take some action against him so that from next time any attender will think twice before doing all this type of nonsense.

                    IRCTC is a failure website or Indian Railways, as usual the normal "Sarkari" website & attitude slow or paisa leke bhi kaam nahi hota...they have deducted 4653/- rupees from by bank A/c and the their website failed after deducting the amount . This is a complete & clear case of cheating the customers . Now i am left with no choice as i have no money in my A/c to book another ticket, & i will also loose the ticket availability. This is has lead to a mental agony & harrasment by irctc. We can never become a developed nation with departments like this or slowness & no prompt service to customers.

                    USA & UK are the best countries as their focus is customer satisfaction.

                    India sucks...Indian Railways sucks...they are a failures...they should handover it to private players...

                    IRCTC — Online shubh yatra Card cannot apply

                    I have tried several times to apply for "Railways Shubh Yatra Card" but failed. After making payment online, message apearing, transaction failed due to communication failure. Please suggest how I can apply?

                    I (Chetna Desai, Age 33) was at New delhi station with 28 people after completing pilgrimage to chardham, most of are senior citizen in our group, On dated 30.05.08 for August kranti tarin towards mumbai central.That day tarin was canceled, Nobody is there to answer us whether train is running or not. In our group one of senior citizen lady had a fractured in foot, She was not able to walk.We had asked to railway staff for other alternative, they are least bother to answer us.
                    Since we had reservation before 03 months that is railway ministry duty to give some other alternative in case of cancellation of train.We had a horrible time while returned back to bombay with senior citizen.We had gone through physical & mental torture.
                    I request to convey our message to railway ministry to look into this matter and take the necessary action and for compensation of our mental torture .

                    IRCTC — Non Refund of Money after ticket not booked

                    I had booked a railway ticket throuhg my SBI ATM Debit Card No.[protected] Ac. No. [protected] on dated 04.03.2008 but due to server down problem the ticket was not booked. Thereafter I waited for a long time but the refund did'nt came back. When I checked my Passbook entry it was not there and till date I have not received the money. I had gone to the Bank a lot of times they say that the money has been refunded by the IRCTC on 06.04.2008 but there is no entry in my account. Now I am fed up with all these things but no other option left to approach the Court of Jurisdiction for the solution of my problem. So please help me getting out of this problem.

                    on 03/12/2008, I have booked two tickets for trvel to bombay from ahmedabad on 22/12/2008 & returned to ahmedabad on 23/12/2008 vide PNR No.[protected] &[protected] respectively.
                    The ref no[protected], with debit of Rs 1451.00 was failed during booking as bank's server gate had not allowed to debit the account.
                    I confirm that I was delivered only two tickets for PNR Nos. refered above. As the transaction for third debit for refrence No.[protected] was not complete, the credit should not have been adjusted against any transaction. I hope that the you will oblidge me by returning the debited amount, as I can not go for cancelation as the ticket has not been delivered to me.

My bank account was debited with Rs.2046.18 two times. Only one ticket with Transaction ID:[protected] and PNR No.[protected] was confirmed and E TICKET was printed. I donot know the other transaction ID and PNR number. If any other transaction is done except this transaction is debited with Rs. 2046.18 the same may be cancelled immediately and refund may be credited to my account.                     IRCTC letter No 2008/IRCTC/ERTD/Refunds/E-ticket/415169/NR dated 30 Jun 2008 is yet to be acted upon by Chief Commercial Manager/Refunds of the Northern Railway.

                    Reminders have been sent by email to all concerned and no action has been taken to complete the refund.

                    I believe the refund should now be made with an interest penalty for the delay beyond the stipulated time for refunds or a complimentary ticket be issued for the same value as the refund requested ticket.

                    Im living in Oslo, Norway from last 6 years.was on indian tour during 21st feb'09 - 11th april'09.
                    I traveled on shatabdi trains(one time on executive class dated 22/02/09 train no. 2013 and two times on chair car dated 23/03/09 train no. 2014 & dated 30/03/09 train no. 2013)inbetween New Delhi and Jalandhar.Here is some of my suggestions:
                    -I experinced two times that suitcases(luggage) felt on the head of the passengers.It can be avoided to fix them properly on the racks overhead bcos such incidents can seriously hurt anyone.
                    -Some of the boys working for giving the service to passengers, just want to get some money(tip)from the passengers.They only help to someone with keep down/up their luggage if they hope to get some money from him/her otherwise they just avoid the passenger although he/she really in need for such kind of help.
                    -Please improve littlebit more cleanliness and maintenance of toilets.

                    IRCTC — WORST TEA AND UN-CHILLED WATER BOTTLES

                    In trains the contractors are suppliying worst tea. There are giving the half of the cup only. I suggest the authorities concerned to take necessary action for providing the measurment on the cup so that the passanger will get full cup of tea. In hot summer they are supplying un-chilled water bottles though they are taking Rs.12/- per bottle. In spite of repeated demands they bring un-chilled water bottles only. As there is no other go one has to take the un-chilled water bottle. Authoriies concerned are requested to take necessary action in this regard.

                    Dear IRCTC Rascals

                    I tried booking a SL ticket Kanpur-Ranchi Train 2874 for 13 June 2009 at around this afternoon on the irctc website. It showed 2 berths available. On the other hand I also had a simultaneous look at the Cleartrip site and found that no berths were available on the same train and the same date.

                    So I proceeded to make a net banking payment on the irctc website which directed me to the ICICI Payment gateway. However the page expired and no ticket could be printed. On logging-in once again to the irctc website I did not find the booked ticket. The funds were debited from my savings account and the debited amount immediately reflected on my Internet banking account which clearly shows a debit of Rs 377.00

                    Now the reason why I made a statement and said the people from IRCTC are never to be trusted is because of the following 2 reasons:-

                    1) I phoned IRCTC Delhi and the girl on the phone told me that irctc has not received the money but the same will be credited back in 2-3 days!
                    2) The money has been debited from my bank account but the IRCTC website shows that have not received the funds!

                    Aren't they fooling me when the bank statement shows that the payment is made to irctc? Amusing? and Funny people at the Capital!

                    I also have old grudges with IRCTC

                    3) A confirmed 2AC ticket Visakhapatnam-Chennai was never refunded although the train never appeared on the platform - the money should have been refunded to my account without me asking!
                    4) All my past booked ticket history has VANISHED from the irctc website.

                    I have booked my tickets for the month of April from IRCTC website, since a regular user of the services last two - three years, this ticket which was booked in April, tried to cancel two seats on 17th April and still waiting for a refund which is almost one and half months old case.

                    I have been calling IRCTC all month of April & May, now June for the refund status, spoke to Asish on 3rd May, Poonam on 12th May, Sharma on 17th May, Pallave on 26th May, Priyanka, S.Kumar, Hussian.M & Pravesh Kumar on 15th June to know whats happening, everyone takes my contacts and advise that Mr.Vivek Kumar of Refund Office will call you with details, since the transfer is done, but to the wrong account, as verified by Vivek Kumar last time on 2nd June, still not been able to transfer my money back, its mere Rs. 746/- & Rs.248/- in total both. I have send my bank statement till 30th April in which it is not reflected also.

                    Just for helping me out if you wish to, PNR nos.- [protected] & [protected] of amount Rs.248/- is also pending to be refunded back. With the same, have a complaint query nos - Q-97113 for reference, to solve case fast if needed to.

                    I have filed TDR for two tickets both are subjected to "Train late more than 3 hour"
                    After 3 months when I did not received any refund from IRCTC I e-mailed at [protected]@irctc.co.in for PNR number [protected] and [protected] with status but did not get any reply, I also tried many times to call but every time customer care executive replies that I have to wait for some more time.Now it is about 5 months and I have not get any refund and reply from IRCTC.

                    I had booked ticket for myself and my family on 8.8.09 from Pune to Chennai Central in 2 AC for 16.10.2009. The ticket money had been debited from my sbi atm-cum-debit card for Rs.6267/-. But when I checked my bank statement I found two entries for Rs.6267/- being made from my account on the same day i.e. 8.8.2009. Later when i checked my irctc site i found a failed transaction in my name but amount has still not been refunded into my account. My failed transaction ID No. is [protected].                     IRCTC — Tatkal Charges

                    As per budget'09 our Railway Minister told that tatkal charges should get reduced from 150 rupees to 100, still we are able to pay 150 rupees.

                    I would like to bring to your notice, the quality of services extended by various caterers on.

                    Different Zonal Railways. My repeated complaints and suggestions got little response.

                    Recently I was traveling to Trivandrum, from Hyderabad by SABARI express. When I ordered my dinner vegetarian I was shocked to get stale food in a casserole pack all i.e. subjee, pickles etc, all stacked in one pack, and they refused to given water packets. The side dish was emitimg bad smell. Possible mix of container of Veg &non –Veg tawa, I had to through the same while on my return journey from Chennai to Hyderabad by Chennai – Hyderabad express. I saw the venders with maroon & black stripped shirts with IRCTC logo selling Non- Veg food at Rs. 60/- per casserole. While at Gunter station when I tried to get lay chips pack from one of the IRCTC stall they insisted to shell out Rs.12 /- per pack where as Rs. 10/- was printed on the cover. All the contractors in A.P.Express, Sabari Exp, west cost all charge higher charges with rotten Quality,

                    I would request you to take necessary steps to conduct periodical inspection, on train vendors as well as on plat forms, to ensure good quality and fair price practice.

                    IRCTC — Non receipt of Refund for Failed transaction ID.0154960922

                    I had booked ticket on 29/10/2009 throuhgh irctc web site. IRCTC had debited Rs. 425/- toward ticket chrages from my SBI A/c but transaction had been failed through IRCTC vide Tran. ID - [protected].

                    Irctc had marked status "Sent for Refund" but till date refund had not been credited to my Bank Account. I had also wrote this thing 2 time to IRCTC but their is no action had been taken for this.

                    IRCTC — Non availability of Standard potable water

                    Most of the station of Indaian Railways do not have potable water of reputed companies. Even in Mumbai CST / LTT and Kalyan Rly stations water served is of local company. If asked for Bisiliri / Kinsley / King fisher /Aquapura etc, the IRCTC approved stalls either doesnt have them or over charge (Rs 15 or more ) them than the printed cost of Rs 12. The meals provided is of non standard in terms of quantity and quality. Even Tea / Coffee is served with inadquate quantity and quality,

                        I had booked a ticket through IRCTC web site on 13.05.2010 from Erode to Mangalore, though the transaction was unsuccessful, Rs.242 (Rs.232 ticket charges and Rs.10 service charges) got debited in my account. The transaction failure reference no in IRCTC web site is [protected]. In web site it shows that the transaction is settled, but the amount is not yet credited to my account. The copy of my Bank statement is attached as "additional photos". I have been following up with IRCTC through continues mails, but no results are found. I request the competent authorities to consider my complaint and arrange for refunding of amount.

                        This has caused lot of inconvenience to me. Kindly do the needful.

                            Dear IRCTC,

                            I think it's time that you please stop providing your facilities fro Indian railways booki.

                            I've been using this IRCTC site since many years for bookin and found it has become hopeless day by day. It has all the provisions on how a bookin cant be a success. It'll search for reasons to deny anyone a reservation especially if you are booking a tatkal ticket. First of all it won't allow to login on the day tatkal bookin starts. Then, if somehow you are able to login, and fill details of your journey, it will say "time out" goddamn your site is runnin so slow what's our fault in that.
                            When everythin will be done it'll fail somehow after payment is done and so on... your 1 hour will pass and you'll successfully get a waitlisted ticket.

                            I think the public don't need such facility. If you can't sustain the high traffic at peak hourse you are not eligible to give us service.

                            I know the feeling ! they still make it really difficult to find the trains in the first place ! Try finding the connecting trains between Indore and Rajkot for example. Its a real challenge ! In general finding trains, especially if connections are needed, between 2nd tier cities is really difficult.

                            It upset me enough to build my own website - at bharatbyrail.com you just enter the cities you are travelling between, state the date and time range and it gives you the best trains, allows ample time for connections and finds routes between nearby stations not just the one you explicitly specify. Armed with these train numbers and times, you can go to IRCTC and make the booking.

                            Ideally, IRCTC would do all this itself. I'm sure in due course they will. Until then, we have to improvise and I built my own techniques at bharatbyrail.com - its totally free to all comers and totally ad-free.

                                      dear sir,
                                      i have an a/c with irctc by which i always made my railway reservation.earlier one month i booked my daughter's ticket from jammu to lucknow which is lying on booked history. before 15 days i tried to open my irctc a/c to print my booked ticket i could not get through because my login failed. When i tried through forgot pass word a message flashes that your pass has been re-setted and regarding this a email has benn sent to you. it has been 4 to 5 times but till today i.e.[protected] i have not received any e-mail for re-setted pass word.

                                      sir it is my humble request pl. reset my password so that i can print my already booked ticket from booked history. my e-mail id registered with u is [protected]@gmail.com and my user name is vanitiwari

                                        For the delivery of 'I' tickets from IRCTC the Zones covered at Howrah includes the area of Howrah Metropolis including Bally with PIN Code 711201. It is evident that Bally is 9km away from Howrah Station. While Liluah (5km) and Belur (8km) with PIN Codes 711204 & 711202 respectively are not included. Surprisingly the Head Post Office for the Sub Post Office 711202 is Salkia with PIN Code 711106 this falls within the Municipal Corporation Area of Howrah. It is not understood how these two Zones were omitted is not coming to my mind. Though the necessity was raised to IRCTC earlier with their reply stating "the proposal shall be taken care of in future", no action has been taken in 2 years.
