Three days back I have been to Bangalore central railway station. At around 10pm. I have approached the counter for platform ticket and it was closed.The employee (men) on duty informed that collect it from the STD booth, which is in front of the station. A board also was displayed over there saying that ''PLATFORM TICKETS AVAILABLE" .We asked for two and he given the printed ticket and he charged Rs. 6/- for each instead of 5 rupees face value. When we asked about it he said 1 rupee extra we need to pay.

Why do Bangalore Railway authority gave permission to telephone booth operator to sell platform ticket and entertain the corruption. Instead they should arrange the alternate so the passenger should buy form the authorized railway counter.

Ticket — About the black ticket

Here i got one bad experience of black ticket in alpana theater. The theater try to black ticket over that they all shouted to sold the ticket in black. There no police to help people and stop it. so, It is not fair with customer who come to see movie.

    Respected Sir,
    I booked one Tatkal Train Reservation Ticket (PNR No. [protected]) on 15-02-13 for 16-02-13 From VISAKHAPATNAM - MUMBAI CST, Which was Waiting Listed - 3. I inquire through internet and mobile sms. I got information from both side (Internet&Mobile) that PNR Status WL-3 and chart prepared. Today on 17-02-13 I went to Reservation Counter for Refund the amount with Reservation/Cancellation Requisition Slip No. 00596 dated 17-02-13. After coming my No. at Counter No.4, they refuse to refund, saying that ticket is confirmed (S6-45). I went to supervisor and shown him the Ticket&mobile messages, then he re-check and corrected it to WL-3. Again I went to Counter No.4. He refuse to refund saying that Time is out for refund. I waste my valuable time around FOUR HOURS for refunding Non-Confirm Tatkal ticket. I already lodge a complaint in Indianraiways.gov.in, Complaint No. W/EO/WAT/[protected]. It is my humble request kindly take necessary action.

    indianrail.gov.in — NON REFUND

    I tried to book a 2AC tkt from Nizamuddin to Udaipur by Mewar express on 13 July 2011. I had opted to have a lower berth. I paid thru S B I netbanking an amount of Rs 1708/- ( proof is given below). The amount is taken by railways, but the tkt is NOT booked. The reason given by Railways is that NO lower berth is available. What a pity. You are first deducting the amount and then say that U dont have lower berths. very very unfortunate. More than one month passed but my hard earned money has not so far credited back to my account. I request the authorities to plase refund my money.

      I have booked tickets for myself, my mother and my grandfather from Koderma(KQR) station to Sealdah(SDAH) station.
      By Name : Mayank Bharti, Raghaw Modi, Munni Devi. The Date Of Journey was 30/12/2012 and ticket was Booked On:[protected].
      PNR no. was [protected]. Since the train was late by more than 20 hrs so I choosed another train to travel from Koderma to Sealdah.
      On 1st Jan I have filed TDR to get money back because i have not travelled on that train with information 'Passengers not travelled,
      train was late by more than 3 hrs.'
      Now its approximately 1.5 months but I did not get my money back. When I called on IRCTC customer care number, it was told there
      that IRCTC has already forwarded the mail to Indian Railways and now it is pending from the side of Indian Railways.
      I have requested that if there is any option to give a reminder mail to get it processed soon but they told me that it is not possiblem from
      there end as it is in suspended state --> neither approved nor cancelled. No further action can be done by IRCTC.
      I need my money back.

      Did you get it finally... Mine is also pending for last 1.5 months.
      My ticket's PNR# is [protected] and TDR was filed on 23rd June 2013, as the train was running late for more than 7-8 hours.
      Please let me know if I need to do follow up on this.

        Dear Sir,

        Transaction ID - txn#[protected]

        I was trying to book an e- rail ticket for my family on 10th Feb,2013 from H. Nizamuddin to Jabalpur, paid Rs 1205/- by my SBI debit card & waited for the completion of the transaction ( as displayed on the screen "Do not refresh or restart till the transaction is complete ),I went on waiting till I saw a displayed messsage on the screen "Your time has expired & relogin' to continue.

        Now I have not recd. the tkt. & have already paid the money.

        Please Help & advice.

        Indian Railways — Ticket booking

        Dear Sir,
        It is very sad to know that You Have made rail ticket booking 4 month in advance .i m sure that nobody plan there journey 4 month in advance
        i don't know the purpose of making this law. it is more of inconvience than facility i hope that you will look in to matter. Instead of 120days in advance it should be 60 days

        i tried to book a ticket for 22 july 2012 and everything was fine till payment gateway but after that when i submitted the card details this message came

          Dear Sir

          I am very much disappointed by IRCTC.

          I tried to book a ticket today for Jaipur-Gurgaon (transaction id: [protected]) and amount Rs. 390 was deducted but the ticket was not issued. When I checked the failed transaction status it says "Payment not received from the bank."

          I also filed an online TDR on irctc against a reservation from Jaipur-Gurgaon (transaction id: [protected]) as my train got delayed for 6 hours. I filled this TDR on January 2nd, 2013 and the refund still awaited.

          I have lost about Rs. 8,000-Rs. 10,000/- on IRCTC due to failed transactions and cancelled tickets (refund not settled) in last about 10 months.

          I have all the tickets of my reservations and can also submit the bank transaction/ credit card details if needed.

          Please help me.

              Would like to bring to your notice about a health issue we faced after travelling in Kanyakumari- Bangalore Express (16525). My daughter had severe skin infection due to an insect bite from the train. This has happened twice, once 4 weeks before due to bed bug bite and last week due to some poisonous insect bite. This time it was so severe that she ran through high temperature and had swollen wrists and legs. Both the time we traveled in second AC and I am wondering what will be the case with the general coaches. We are paying a good amount for second AC reservation and this is not the quality we would expect out of it. The coaches are very dirty and we often see rats running around. Also, every year, a huge amount is cut from my salary in the name of income tax. What is the purpose of me paying tax if Govt cant provide us good public transport facility. All we ask is quality faclity, not some hi-fi stuff.

              Indian Railways — Worst Condition of compartment

              Sir, I travelled by Train No. 5959 Kamrup Express from Howrah to New Jalpaiguri on 21.09.08. I travelled in AC 3 Tier in B2 compartment and the coach no. was 03113. At once when I entered in the toilet I felt why I booked in AC 3 Tier because the toilets of the Sleeper class was better. Also the the Staff of the did not switch ON the AC until the train started from Howrah. The coach provided was really a older one because the coach was not infested for a long time. Lot many cockroaches were found in the compartment. Along with us two foreign passengers travelled. Infact they were laughing at the condition of the coach and the toilet. If this kind of service we provide for the guests it will be a shame on our part. Kindly look into the matter to improve the situation.

              Indian Railways — condition of coach

              i was traveling on 16/dec night by jammu mail in coach no s1 & condition of coach was bad .my seat no was 24.tube light can;t get off it was direct.overall condition of coach was bad even windows can;t be closed in winter.no water in wash room.this is what we hd paid for reservation of ticket.
              Sir,

              1. I am traveling regularly from Ernakulam Jn to Kanhangad (Kerala) in Malabar Express and Maveli Express. Recently I have travelled with my family from Ernakulam Jn to Kanhangad by Maveli Exp(Train No 6604) on 25 December 09 (Ticket No[protected] and came back by Maveli Exp (train No 6603) on 29 Dec 09 (Ticket No[protected].

              2. During my journey (To and fro), I have seen that cockroaches and rats are frequently playing in my com compartments S6 (while onward journey) and S3 (while return journey). Some of the cockroaches are also bitten me due to which my full nights was sleepless. Some lights are put on during the entire night. Nobody knows as how to switch off it and where the switch is placed.

              3. I am very sorry to inform you that passengers are traveling in trains in such a bad conditions and the concerned railway authorities are not bothered to look into the matter.

              4. When the passengers are paying proper fare, they are entitled proper hygiene and sanitation inside the compartments. The concerned authorities may please be instructed to look into the matter and take remedial steps immediately.

                Sir/Madam,
                I am Rajlaxmi Singh. My Mother & Brother (Shivkumari Devi & Arvind Kumar Singh) My brother was going for treatment in CMC Vellore. They return from their. They
                was travelling From Chennai To Itarsi on 21st Dec in Coimbatore Jaipur express train No 12969. ticket was in First AC. Status WL1/WL2. Actually they lost her ticket and complaint in railway department about it.

                Main Issues is that on that jurney TC named Unknow told my Mother and brother to go to general boogie . He humiliated them & spoke very arrogantly with
                them and when they tried to clear the matter TC started arguing with them and
                demanded Rs.2000 from them.

                My mother need to reach Itarsi any cost because next onward train from Itarsi to Jabalpur (Amarkantak 12854) and Jabalpur to Singrauli (Shaktipunj 11447)was continuously. And Due to mis behavior of TC my mother and Orthoritise patient brother suffering in cold night of that journey. Then one passenger of that train who have seen all this drama than he have extra two ticket (because of absence of his family member) they offer to my mother.
                This is also a crime but due to that situation they accept the ticket with full payment of amount. They come to Itarsi/Jabalpur/Singrauli and complain at all this station for refund amount of that journey. But they not take any initiative step. They want original ticket. But Lucky with in month of journey one person handover our ticket when he find. Then again my father go to Singrauli station on 16th January and request refund amount. But he return with hopeless nobody give proper reply. And finally we lost 7000/- and our mother respect & problem suffer by my suffering brother who go for his better treatment which was cost it was uncountable

                I incurred a great loss of money and time and mental stress and health .I request you to take serious legal action
                against the TC and the Railway Department and make tell them to make arrangements
                for my Compensation for humiliating my family
                I request you to kindly take this matter seriously and help me out as soon as possible.

                Arvind — Reprint Ticket

                I lost my SETC bus tickets with my purse. I know the date of journey,time of journey,seat number,bus timings and having the identity proof. I asked for reprint of ticket. The person who is booking the ticket searched for PNR number which he not able to found. And only one ticket was booked which is my ticket only.

                But he said like without PNR number we can cancel or reprint the ticket. I lost nearly 800 rupees and too an fro tickets which cost around 760 rupees. Can anyone help me to get the PNR number.

                  This is the complaint about food quality in rajdhani express , from kanpur to ranchi , train no 12454 from cnb to ranchi bogie no b3 seat no 23 ,dated 31st jan2013
                  the non veg food given to me was smelling bad , the salad was of bad taste and foul smell was there, i did not eat it and returned it back , i had to sleep empty stomach despite of paying in advance for it , to my further disbelief the manager mr udai veer singh did not bother to come and attend my complaint??? why i was not heard i find some foul play happening , the chicken quality was very bad i developed nausea .i was not given compaint register also. i need action to be taken againt it , i will be forwarding this mail to vigilance also. intimate me about the action my no is [protected].

                  Indian Railways — Bad Food

                  Hi,

                  This is regarding the extremely low quality of food and negligence in making the food.
                  I was travelling in Pushpak and i had ordered Veg food.
                  I was shocked to see a piece of chicken in my food. The food was almost over and there was no option for me to do other than vomiting out the food out of my stomach.
                  I lodge a complaint with TTE but i dont have any hope that railway would take any action in this matter.
                  Can anyone help me in getting the right channel to bring this matter up so that this should not be repeated with other people.

                    TDR filed but i got only 50% of fare refunded

                    I had booked a 2nd-AC Ticket in train 12142 from SATNA to KALYAN for journy date 3rd of January 2013. Because of fog problems the train was late more then three hours.

                        hawkers capturing railway station space at mira road & bhynder this is on all railway station in western & central line r.p.f is responsible for it. how ever if railway government gives legual permission for hawkers. charge them monthly money can be used for public service. now money is going in officers pocket central government showing railway is going in loss but officers are in profit taking black money. few days before ticket fair was raised high. why public has to suffer for it. one hawker gives daily 300 rs minimum how many hawkers are in all railway station. railway government can charge 100rs daily frm one hawkers & give them chalan that can be used for public facilities hawkers will be happy & public also with it black money will turn white & will be used for public facility

                        bandra station master must take a walk to see that the hawkers occupy the substantial space on the footbridge.Under what authority he is allowing the hawkers.?

                          1. I m travelling in NE express train no 12505. On 24 jan2013 cattering service staff came to at 1700hrs and took the order. I freffered non veg..at 1745 he came back with the dinner pack saying that it my dinner pack. I cheched it then and there. I come to know that it was the veg, however he took money for the non veg. I returnd it an he served me the cold chicken with rice. I refused to take it. Hearing this he said that there will be no food served after this till morning, so i have to take that. I asked for the menu and ratelist , he refused it. Latter on at around 2030 hrs fresh dinner was served to other people..i believe the food which was served to was the balanced left of lunch time.i have to pay Rs120 for that cold meal having no option.
                          2, TTT in the same train misbehaved with my buddy who came to meet me in AC 3, he had sleeper class seat. TTT abused him..i dont remember the name of TTT but he came between kanpur and agra railway station. The man who got abused said nothing to TTT because he was discipline soldier and went to sleeper class. However the soldier is entitled the AC3 class and was traveling on his warrant.
                          3. This behaviour of staff is not exceptable at all.
                          4. Request penative action against the staff.

                            I have not received the Refund for the TDR file vide reference no ekt[protected] against PNR no [protected] of Train No: 15696 Date Of Journey: 28/12/2012, From Station: BADARPUR JN(BPB) To Station: LUMDING JN(LMG), Quota: Tatkal , Reason For TDR: AC Failure. But till today I have not received the refund amount from IRCTC or N F Railway. I have posted all the relevant documents from TTE of 2AC coach of Train No: 15696 to IRCTC.

                            I had filed for TDR through irctc website on 26th Dec 2009 but still not received any response. The status has always been "Forwarded to Railway". I have sent many emails to them but the response has been very poor. They have provided me a request no. IRCTC #1177532. It's been around 7 months now. Can somebody help with this?

                              Hello there,

                              I had booked 2 tickets from Ghaziabad to kanpur for my parents, but when they reached station, train was late by 12 hours so they caught another train, I filed TDR to refund money mentioning the reason that "Train was late for more than 3 hours". Now after many follow ups with IRCTC customer care, I see status as regretted and no money is refunded, there is no reason given for this.
                              Please help me in getting my money back and please punish the officers who do these kind of irresponsible work of not refunding money in time.

                                Dear Sir,
                                I was travel from Mahalaxmi to Churchgate as on 20.01.13 on return ticket. I get down at lower parel at the time of return same time TC ask me for ticket and i saw him my ticket. First he allow to go after 1 minitus he call me back & check again my ticket. He had made lot of argument with me then he take up to me one room at platform # 1. then there is also i await for half hour the same. At last he charge me Rs 250 for unnecessary reason without issue a receipt. i asked to him for receipt but he is refuse to issue me receipt.

                                I request to kindly investigation the matter & please help to me.

                                  I had an experience on 17/1/13 during journey from Trivandrum to Calicut in Trivandrum-Mangalore Express.The ID number given was that of PAN card which I forgot to take.But there was my Adhar card in original , my college ID card in original,DL copy and National Service Scheme ID card issued by state government authority.Eventhough I produced all these the TT (looked like a boy)didn't agree.I have to pay Rs 760 as ticket fare for four persons + Rs 1000 as fine.
                                  I think this happens only for gentle passengers.Many are traveling in general compartment without ticket.None of the TTRs checks the ticket there.Those who took ticket and just forgot to produce the id mentioned in the ticket have to pay heavy penalties.I wish to know to whom to be complained on this issue.

                                    WE HAVE TRAVELED ON 20/11/2012 FROM SECUNDERABAD TO SURAT IN S-5/33-36.TRAIN NO.17037.PNR NO.[protected].IN THE BOGY UN AUTHORIZED PEOPLE WERE MORE THEN AUTHO. RESERVED TKT.HOLDER.WE WERE NOT ABLE TO SLEEP ENTIRE NIGHT AS THOSE PEOPLE HAVE OCCUPIED ONE SIRE OF SEAT FOR THERE SITTING.THE JOURNEY BECOME PAINFUL-TEDIOUS-HORROR-RESTLESS ..PANTRY WAITERS WERE SELLING FOOD AT DOUBLE RATE & MAKING BLACK MARKETING OF PANTRY FOOD.ON ENTIRE TRAIN THERE WAS NO POLICE MAN-NO TC TO HELP US. LAST I FOUND 1 TC IN 2nd ac .THERE I HAVE WRITTEN MY COMP. PAGE NOS.[protected]. IT HAS PAST 2 MONTH BUT NO ACTION-REACTION HEARD FROM RLY.DEPT.                                       Respected Sir, On dated[protected] time about 8:40 AM I travel to my city mandi gobindgarh to Gurgaon (HR) .At this time there is a daily passenger train from Amritsar to Ambala Cantt which stoppage at mandi gobindgarh. The ticket conductor whose named Mr. Anwar Adil whose duty on ticket window at that time , does not give to my journey ticket i.e. MANDI GOVINDGARH to GURGAON .Although there is a computerised ticket window but the Mr. Anwar Adil does not give to my journey ticket . he had misbehaviour and abused me . He told that me " chal sale kuttte yahan se pare hat , bhag ja , tujh jaise yahan bahut aate hein tujhe Gurgaon ki sidhi ticket nahin deni , jo karna he kar le, usne mujhe takriban 25 -30 minute window par khada karke rakha . tab mere bar - bar hath jodne and request karne par ek or officer ne mujhe MANDI GOBINDGARH TO REWARI Jn.ki II SUPERFAST ki Ticket No. W 86533425 at 9:10 am per di. usne bhi mujhe sidhe gurgaon ki tiket nahi di . mujhe Sirhind Jn. se 12460 Amritsar - New Delhi train pakadni thi jiska time 9:40 Am thaa. yahan par na to koi Enuiry hai , mere bar - bar pata karne par bhi kisi ne mujhe passenger train ke aane ki koi jaankari nahi di. tab mujhe majboori mein rickshaw karke Bus Stand aana pada and bus se Sirhind JN gaya . please take legal action against Mr. Anwar Adil and compensate for mental and phesical harassment and refund my excess fare, rickshaw and bus fare etc
