I, had stopped using a reliance broadband connection in feb 2014, after using it for 2 years. I had informed their customer care executive regarding the same. However they continued to bill me for the same even after informing them. I never received any written intimation about it for the next 3 years, till i got a call saying that i was expected to pay 980 rupees in the next 3 hours or else legal proceedings would be initiated against me. They have now started calling me to pay a fine of 8500 as penalty for the same. I have never received any written or printed communication from reliance for the same. I have only received calls from two different numbers. Also, as a part of their strategy to harass the consumer further, they insist that the case will be settled only in delhi despite of the fact that the consumer and the connection were both based in bangalore.
