To whomsoever it may concern
Before beginning, i request the reader of this document to tell / support / adhere only to the truth / justice and be as much honest, unbiased, and justifiable as possible and also throw off your negative attitude, arrogance, biasing, ego, hesitancy, jealousy, and selfishness if any as well as be silent till i finish my arguments.
1. Please tell me the meaning of the sentence - “we are offering a 2 - month period of completely free internet service to you; you don't have to pay anything for it, but if at all you like it, then can continue our internet service. ”
As for as i know, free means free – yes or no?
This can be proved if we tell the call center people to take out call / conversation audio records, who usually record for internal quality improvement purposes and can be utilized when in need or in our case.
2. Please tell me the 'approximate' “probability” of the possibility of a person taking / accepting a completely free thing / gift / offer, esp. , if the receiver also in need of it or wants to own or have that thing / gift in his / her personal life (Since it is completely free) ?
At least 90% (Majority) ? Yes or no?
I am one of the people among the needy and so took the completely free offer. Is this wrong? Yes or no?
3. Please tell me the 'approximate' “probability” of people asking / demanding free internet service from whatever company's internet connection they are using?
Less than 10% (Since no one 'usually' demands / asks, but there are exceptions - minority) ? Yes or no?
I never asked for any free offer from the company (Reliance) ; they only called and gave the offer, which is secondary. Since almost all (Not all but how many people would say no to 2 months of free internet?) of "humans" will almost always say yes to free offers or extra amount for what they are paying, i also said yes. If there is a same product - one with extra free amount / quality and another with regular amount, which one will you or any smart / intelligent person buy? The regular one? I don't think so! If they had not offered this so called free offer, why the hell i would have continued it for 2 more months, which is secondary.
4. Please tell me the 'approximate' “probability” of people 'knowing' their future? Was there anyone? Is there anyone? Or will there be anyone who knows or will know his or her future in detail?
Zero (0) % yes or no?
Hence, i had no idea that someone will call from reliance call center and offer a completely free offer, and if i take or accept the offer, i should face all these consequences.
5. Please tell me the 'approximate' “probability” of people recording the calls and that too from unknown number (S) and unexpectedly?
Around 10%? 20%? Definitely very least as we usually record calls / conversations only when there is a need / necessity and that too we will be “knowing” when to record (Preplanned and not 'unexpected') - yes or no?
So, i have not recorded any calls, but probably, the audio records of almost every calls made to my number or my mother's number will be there with the call center people, who usually record calls for quality improvement purpose and can be utilized when in need or in our case.
6. Is there any company who will give you extra free above the already given free thing?
Yes! Reliance!
If the company / reliance has offered me 1 gb or 1. 5 gb of free internet data usage, who the hell asked you people to give me more than the specified free threshold what the company only specified to offer (I. E. , 1 gb or 1. 5 gb) ? Did i ask the company or anyone to give me beyond that free limit? Why there was a technical loophole wherein people can use net even after the free data? One of india's leading companies, reliance, has no technology to stop or do anything on this regard? They are not aware of this glitch? Or it was purposefully / intentionally left (A trap) ? Is this a consumer mistake? Is this my mistake if the company only gave more than what it offered?
7. If any company is promising / claiming anything in their products, they should have it, and the service what they are giving must be justifiable to what the charge they are charging to their customers – yes or no?
During that so called free internet service period, i got so much frustrated by the speeds of the net or their pathetic service within few weeks or around a month or so (They can check data transfer speed records in that period) that i decided to give back their dongle / data card and had went to a reliance store, a kilometer or so from bomboo bazaar, mysore, but after checking my number ([protected]) online, to my surprise, the shop representative said, “it is still under 'billing' process, and i cannot take it back unless it (Bill) comes!
8. Then, after a while, the bill came as 2705 inr in november (See bill document in attachment for proof) . In january, it became 2805 inr (See bill document in attachment for proof) . When i asked the company to give details regarding the same, i. E. , how this amount of bill came, they did not reply only! My connection was a postpaid and my bank account has a regular payout of 618 inr every month to reliance since almost 1. 5 years (Please see attachments for bank statement, for bills, and a hard - copy notice that i got around month end) , but now, they are telling me that i need to pay 2605 inr, not 2805 inr! So, if we calculate the bill amount to get a value near my usual monthly bill of 618 inr, we can divide that by 4 - 2605 / 4 (Months) =651. 25 inr / month, which is not 618 inr / month bill i was paying. Please note that we have to divide by 4 in order to get around my usual / normal monthly bill, but they had given me only 2 - month period of free (In disguise a paid) service, and even if they apply 100 inr fine, which they charge for late payment, multiple times, it will not come up to 2605 inr! If they tell i asked or they changed the tariff plan, ask them to provide proof, which may / will also contain full conversation between me and telecaller about the free offer! Another thing is will any company still give connection even after you don't pay (If at all) for all these many months? Will any company be silent for 4 months consequentially? If they say because of this only the fine is not 100 inr per month as usual late pay and is blah blah blah and try to give a matching number to the total billing amount by calculating / dividing or by any means, ask them to prove it or show it in policy.
My other justifiable arguments (Part of one of the e - mails i sent to reliance)
9. The telecaller did not tell me that i may / would need to pay penalty / fine / amount if the limit of 1 gb or 1. 5 gb or whatever data (Why this data matters if this is a completely free offer?) of free data is crossed! She told it is completely free for 2 months and i don't have to pay anything. Ask them / reliance for our telephonic conversation for proof!
10. The telecaller also did not tell me that she is changing my unlimited plan [with free usage limit of 5gb with full speed and then the speed will decrease drastically, but the bill won't vary!] to limited (Which is not limited technically) since i was able to cross the free data of 1 gb or whatever given.
11. There was no auto cut off option after the free data usage, which the one of the leading companies like reliance could afford to do! Why they have not done it? It should have cut off after the free data given or else how will customer know? Where is the freedom of choice for the customer to choose whether to continue the service even after the free usage limit?
12. There is no indication / notice / warning whatsoever of data usage nor there is any kind of warning from the netconnect software that you are about to reach your free usage limit like in the prepaid internet data packs available from tata docomo! Is this fair?
13. The company / reliance has failed to provide me all the details regarding bill amount. I mean, how they have put so much of bill for a completely free service? How they have arrived at that amount - 2600 inr or so. ?
14. The telecallers have repeatedly called my 65 - year - old mother often almost daily or many times a week for around 2 months or even more and bothered and irritated her without even knowing the issue. They also started to talk in singular forms of kannada like oge - baare to a senior person who is not at all involved in this case and started abusing, pressurizing, and even threatening her. Who will pay for this harassment and embarrassment? Please ask reliance to pull back all audio conversations done with me and my mother (As they will be having them) to know! After all this (Because of these happenings even after warnings) , even i have used lots and lots of abusive and vulgar language while communicating. Will you keep silent if anyone or me only abuse your mother for no reason? I am the customer, and they have to deal only with me, not any other person.
15. I am a medical document editor, and i work for an industry which needs extreme attention, concentration, and carefulness or else i will fail to deliver error - free quality documents to our company's clients (Us hospitals) , which in turn may affect innocent patients over there and also affect my earnings / salary because of losing accuracy / quality. I had a lot of disturbances, irritations, and fluctuations in my mind just because of this nonsense / issue. . . Who will pay for all these harassment / irritation / torture / loses / mind upset / etc. ?
16. Despite all these, i also said to the company that i will pay only 350 inr, since i think i have consumed only around 1. 5 gb. Because for this amount, i can get this much data (1. 5 gb) from connection giving companies like vodaphone / tata docomo / etc. They also failed to give me how much data i have used.
17. If this is the case, why the hell should i pay the bill? I don't understand! Will you pay if this has happened to you? Will that telecaller pay if it would have happened to her? Will anyone pay? If you people have real guts, you should have caught real dishonest / criminals who did not pay bills of over 10, 000 inr during the time of cdma connections given via lg 2030 mobile phones. I know this issue since i have worked for reliance in early 2000. Why will i do anything dishonest if the service itself was injustice (Not given what had been promised) !? Who is a criminal - you people or me? Whose is injustice? Mine or yours? Who is honest? Where is the justice? I don't understand!
Is there any person who wants to pay all amount back to all the companies from which he / she has purchased that had free thing in their products? No one, right?
All of the above information given by me is true to best of my knowledge / ability to recall, and i don't mind anyone proving me / anything wrong.
I am not going to pay a single penny, since it is a big lie (S) / trap / scam / fraud / cheat (Ing) / exploitation / harassment.
I request law and order / police department to investigate these kind of issues and warn the company or its employees (Telecallers) not to do such things again, so that no one in future is victimized / warned / threatened / harassed even after being innocent. Even if i am the only person victimized pan india, the bloody tellecaller should be sued, punished, and / or asked to pay the bill. . . That is justice. Even after explaining via so many mails, i don't understand why you people are behind me, poking and irritating like anything. Do you people lack common sense or lack the way to judge which is right and / or which is wrong? Trace that if possible and take action. (Any person who is against proper or genuine morals / ethics / truth / justice / honesty / law and enforcement is a ) .
Please inform as much media people about this free scam as possible, so that many / most people get awareness of this issue and let it spread and then people can spit them via phone / cellphone if at all anyone offers this completely free offer again.
If at all you people won't stop e - mailing me, calling me, and sending notices to me, and / or i won't get justice from the law and enforcement (Police and lawyers, who must actually support truth / justice) , i may have to call up media people and try to get help from them and try to arrange for a live phone - in program to know how many others have been or being victimized by this what i call 'free scam' from reliance.
I request, if at all anybody from the police department, wants to meet me in person to please call me to some nearest police station instead of coming near my home, as my family members might get a shock! Since ours is a respected family and we belong to a dignified community and have never had any illegal issues and also because my neighbors might misunderstand for something else!
Now, my mother is informing me that she has went to some reliance store in the bangalore and paid the amount on 6th july 2015. I felt like killing her for this act. . . I felt my own relative, that too mother, betrayed me. . . I am feeling like not talking to her. . . All because of that bloody . . . My family is experiencing cold war and above that a loss of 2600 inr for me just for saying 'yes' for a free offer? What kind of 3rd class company is reliance or its employees? It is a big shame on its name – there is no rely nor one can rely on reliance. They look like demanding beggars for me now.
I want my money back from reliance and an apology letter for creating havoc, agitation, tension, irritation, anger in my mind, life; cold war in family, and for mentally torturing, harassing, poking me often, then, i will also apologize since i have used vulgar language, which those liars / cheater deserve.
