Hi,
My name is Thangam d/o Sangardas, Booking reservation number :7I7L3S & Airline confirmation number (s) : Air India Limited Z8WEL had booked my Air India flight from Chennai to Singapore on 02/07/2013 boarding time at 13.15pm there was 10 traveller including the children in a group and we was there on time around 11.45am at the airport.Last check in time at 1.00pm before flight,Kindly see attached file!!! There was noone at the baggage counter as we approach a Air India staff and he told us to take another flight as the baggage counter is closed. He didn’t show courtesy to explain or help us but we end up waiting helpless and confused outside of the airport with the small children with no mercy. The next day the children need to go to school and they missed the class. With helpless and we got to check in to another hotel. Is this the way to treat foreigners??? Just that your staff is not around and the counter is close,is it fair to us ???!!! Is this the Head management decision or just a normal staff from Air India???!!

The air tickets expense per person s$ 170 singapore dollar x 10 person, Total: s$1,700.00 Singapore dollar and also we spend on the hotel and transportation,it was waste of time and money. We booked another flight ticket to Singapore on next day flight 03/7/2013 same boarding time at 13.15pm,we check at the baggage counter at 11.30am and to my shock at 12.00pm to 12.30pm the baggage counter was open and there was people clearing their luggage around that time. what are you going to say for this???!! Is this the procedure and rule and regulation of Air India. When we reach the waiting hall,Air India make us wait for an hour. Seriously to say that we are very disappointed with your services and make sure the trouble we went through because of the airlines will refund us the money. Seriously unfair customer service, I need a reason and refund!!!!!!!!!!

Please reply as soon as possbile!!!

Thank u,

Thangam d/o Sangardas

Reference: Singapore to Delhi on AI381/29 Jun 13

My luggage (2 in number) was missing and was delivered after lodging a complaint on the next day afternoon when I realized that the locks were broken for both the luggage in such as way that I can use the lock again. One luggage is a VIP hard case, which costs me 6000 INR and another luggage (jumbo type) cost me 3000 INR. When I registered a complain with the airline they promised to send their vendor for repair at their own cost though I already confirmed that that VIP locks are difficult to repair and most dealers deny any repair post warranty period.

The airline personnel did not listen to me but promised to send their vendor. The vendor never came and instead I received an email from the Air India personnel that they are ready to reimburse 1000 INR. I rejected the offer as it would not server the purpose because there was no way I could get the VIP suitcase repaired (the dealer to whom I approached denied) and I was having very less time to travel back to Singapore. So, I demanded full cost of the suitcase OR repair the suitcase by the airline vendor.

Finally, lot of email conversation is going on that makes no sense to me and I have few days left to fly back to Singapore.

On the other hand the airline did not negotiate in charging me an extra SGD 324 for excess luggage but when it comes for compensation they show red face towards the international customers.

I Michael Joseph Gallyot am a retired Air India staff. On 29 May I went to Chennai airport with my staff tkts for Flt AI-905 Maa/Dxb. However on reaching the counter staff referred the tkt to the duty manager who told me to wait till he gets clearance from the higher authorities on whether he can accept my wife and myself. Flight AI-905 of 29 May was an open flight, hence there was no problem of seat availability. We waited for almost two hours before the duty manager told us that he was unable to accept us on the Flt. And went on to explain that he will get into serious trouble if he were to accept our tkts (authentic AI 098 documents) for Flt AI-905 Maa/Dxb. Here I would like to say that during the course of this year I have travelled twice from Dxb/Maa on AI-906 and once from Maa/ Dxb with these very same tkts and I was accepted for the flight. What went wrong this time I just could not understand but what can a poor retired senior citizen do or tell a duty manager who refuses to honour an AI tkt on an Air india flight that was going light by about 40 seats?

It is truly incredible, inexplicable and totally unacceptable, because the world over is made to understand that there is only one national carrier and that is Air India. And yet an Air India tkt is not being accepted for travel on an Air India flight, what on earth is happening? I request the authorities to kindly set the records straight and please make up your mind have you all actually accepted the merger or do we still have a devide Air India/Indian Airlines? What ever the turmoil retired senior citizens like me should become your victims of malice.

Two tickets were booked by Air India from Mumbai to DXB and cancelled on 08.05.2013 through goibibo.com portal, Neither the portal nor Air India is willing to commit dates for refunds

            Dear Sir

This is shocking not to say the least. Tickets were booked by your carrier and not by any other portal for transporting and hence payment was made to you. This shirking of responsibility is considered very seriously and please note the kind of terse response we get from you can be counter-productive for the airline company.

Once again we request you to kindly look into the matter and advise the status of payment immediately.

            Dear Sir/Madam

This is with regret that we note that our booking for the following passengers were cancelled on 8th May 2013 with the above mentioned reference, we have yet to receive the refund amount from the travel portal who claim that Air India has been holding the payment.

This is not in line with any good business practice for a major airline and immediately seek your intervention to release the same within 48 hours of this email. Failing which we will perforce resort to escalate the said issues not only with all forums we deem fit but also take our case to the media.

            Air India — Refund issue

            Hi,

I am Sarat, I had booked AI flight Cochin to Chennai on 26th May 2010 IC 519. THis flight was not operated and while we were on our way to Airport, we got the information ffrom Air India on the same and we had to come back and had to tak next day's flight.

Flight was booked throgh makemytrip.com and when i contacted them for refund, they say that I have to get the cancelled ticket signed and stamped from AI office and send the copy to makemytrip. This is requested by Air India , not makemytrip for the refund.

On this scenario, AI knows that flight was not operated, they know that this was informed to the customer before 2 hrs of the flight while we were on our half way to Airport. Now AI telling, we have to come to Airport or AI office and get the ticket cancelled and stamped for full refund and send to makemytrip

The amout of Refund is 2990.00

I have cancelled my KF, Jet and other flights which was booked thru makemytrip there was no such requirement from the Operators side till now.
Now if I have to get this done, I have to waste my halfday time, Rs.200-500.
I ahve already lost my one day time and taxi charges when the flight got cancelled.

Please let me know how to proceed. Hope I get a satisfactory feedback

I am Archana Manigandan I booked a flight (AI571--PNR--JEWEW) from chennai to mumbai timing 8.45pm. I received a call from air india help desk saying its been rescheduled for 9.50pm. I reached the airport at 8.40 and being new passesenger I was searching for the departure and atlast I entered at 9.00 pm. When I went to the counter they told me I was late and the officer asked me to contact the desk, I don't even have any baggage and its possible if they accept. When I approched the air india desk which is inside the airport they didn't even listen to my quiery. I apologized and beggedd I convinced them but no response. The person was very harsh and he asked me to leave the place, when I approched the higher officials they were also very rude and they didn't even stand and reply to my questions. Most of the time Air india flights getting delayed for which, being a customer we are not asking any compensation for our valuble time. Mistake happens that doesn't mean to say that they will not reschedule for next flight or give cancellation charges. I paid RS 9517 for the flight and they don't even have courtesy to answer me. Due to their cunningness I was not able to meet my husband who is above to fly from bombay to join his ship. Now I need to wait for next 8 months to see my husband...its very painful..I begged the executives nothing happened. Very much frustrated with the service. I am filing this complaint not only for my compensation, executive should treat the passesenger in a good manner. More than 4 times I contacted the Air India call center they simply put me on hold and saying nothing can be done..thats y I wanted to register this as my complaint. I hope I will get some resolution.

                Dear Sir/Madam,

On the 25/04/2013 a Booking was being done Online for the undersigned for Mumbai to Jamnagar for 3rd May 2013. Each time after giving the card details, without going through the OTP process we were being thrown out with the remark 'Error on page please try again'. Since it was an emergency booking and few seats available, we kept trying 4 times we were thrown out in the same way as above. it is very difficult to contact the Airline people on phone, as they flatly refuse to talk, giving further numbers which are always engaged.
Thus the Airline has charged the undersigned to his American Express Banking Corpn. credit card (copy attached for ready reference)
four times for a ticket that was never issued by them. We did not get a single E-Ticket on our email id and yet they have wrongly charged us. Without the PNR it was not possible for us to check online.
Trust you will strongly take up the matter and help us get a refund for Rs.20,534/-

                Thanking you,

I had booked an Air India flight on 3rd march 2013 from New Delhi to Bhopal. The ticket was booked for 19th April 2013 departure. However, on 14th April I received a phone call from AirIndia that this flight was postponed. I had to cancel my ticket (on 14th April itself) as the postponed flight timings were not suitable to my itinerary. The AirIndia executive also told me that I am eligible for 100% refund as Air India was at fault.
I had to mail my ticket details (listed below) to an e-mail id provided. I got a reply back on 15th April from Air India that my refund is being processed and I shall receive it within 15 working days.

Today is 6th May 2013, and I am still waiting for my refund. AirIndia refund section telephone numbers are either busy or no one attends to the calls. How can I get my refund back?

I have booked a connecting flight from delhi to mangalore via mumbai. The initial flight from delhi to mumbai was in air india, which had been delayed by 45 min. In mumbai when I had to change flights for mumbai to mangalore which is in air india express, I ws not allowed in the domestic terminal citing that I was late even though I had reached there 45 min in advance.

This is with reference to the reference number WB-IDEL[protected] wherein I lodged a complaint regarding the allotment of seat in AI 127 dated 29 03 2012 for the ticket number 098-[protected] . DEL-ORD.

I had checked in via the Air India website (at round 0830 Hours on 28/03/2013) online for my parents for that flight (more than 16 hours in advance) so that we could get a good seat but despite this we were allotted the last rows ie 48 B C . Thereafter I rang Air India customer care service and was told that the seats have been reassigned in accordance with my telephonic request and the new numbers were 19 J K .

I again reconfirmed this with the customer care[protected] that whether the seats have been reassigned at around 1200 hrs and again at around 1930 hours and was reassured that the seats were 19 J K but to my utter dismay my parents informed me later that they had been allotted the seats 48 B C only and not the seats 19 J K as told to me by the customer care reps.

I wish to know who is responsible for misleading me and giving false information as well as assurance .
In all probability the person at the check in counter did not assign my parents the reassigned seats or the customer care representatives mislead me THRICE.

I need an answer for this and the people responsible and I will explore all possible legal means to fix accountability for giving fraudulent information, misleading , cheating and causing undue harassment for one of the purposes for providing web check in facility is to give the passenger an opportunity to choose the seat of his/her choice where as in this case it has proved to be a nightmare!

                      Air India — Insensitive service

I was traveling with my wife on Air India AI 975 from Chennai to Goa on 15th Sept 2011. The flight was on time and take off was fine, once the meal was being served, we asked for an option, for which the a member of crew replied "sorry we have only the veg option". fine we were on to our meal but without water, when my wife started getting hiccups and was in urgent need of water. I immediately requested a lady crew member "Ms Chetna" who was near by to get my wife some water. she nodded her head and continued to serve the passengers! i waited for 2 minutes and once again asked for water but in vain, Ms Chetna gave a indifferent look and passed on the word to someone else and another 3 to 4 mins passed by while my wife was still having severe hiccups, my co passengers were concerned and started asking the crew for water and then i had to stand and ask in a loud voice/tone and then Ms Chetna hesitantly stopped serving and went to get a bottle of water. I am not asking for extremely great service - ONLY ASKING FOR BASIC HUMAN COURTESY WHICH THE CREW OF AIR INDIA LACK, TO WAIT FOR AROUND 7 - 10 MINS FOR A GLASS OF WATER WHEN MY WIFE WAS ALMOST CHOKING WAS INHUMAN SERVICE.

                          Dear Team,

This is a peculiar case, wherein I tried to book my tickets online from Kolkata to Udaipur on the 9th july, but somehow the webpage showed an error, I called up the customer care department and the executive informed me that the tickets haven't been booked. I called the customer care twice to be sure, being on hold for an approximately 2 hour period in total and both the times i was informed that the tickets are not confirmed and that i need to re book them. Also, on being asked they informed that the money will be credited within 2 working days ( back to my credit card, which i had used for the transaction).
Also, I called the air india office in kolkata ( airport), and they informed me to visit the air india house ( chitranjan avenue) to get the problem solved. On visiting the air india house, I was informed that since this is an online transaction I would have to write an email to get this solved.
Please help, as i am clueless and i want my entire refund back. The following details were obtained by me only after visting the air india office, until then I was under the impression that the tickets haven;t been booked! I was in a shock when they told me I hold confirmed seats for the 9th July.
I had booked 6 tickets for this sector, the web ref is :AIBE7244738 and one of the PNR is: AI JQ468.
Your urgent assistance in this regard will be highly appreciated.

                            Hi,
I had booked an Air India flight AI-9601( tickets no. 098-[protected]/01/03) tickets from Delhi to Port Blair via Bhubaneswar for 26 February, 2013 with my 1.5 yr daughter and husband. I had booked it online and it was confirmed ticket I had in hand. I arrived at airport on time.I reached on the airport at 4.10am and flight timing is 5.30 am mentioned on my Ticket. Wasn’t it weird that when you have a confirmed e-ticket in hand and you reached before 1 hour 20 minutes before the flight departure time. You have been denied boarding the flight on coming at AI counter for the boarding pass, the staff took the e-ticket and was about to give us the boarding pass. But some other person in their staff, probably some senior, asked not to give us the boarding pass as you are 15 minutes late. They told me to talk with senior who is standing if they will say we will give you boarding pass however they told me that all flight passengers are already checked in. I requested them also that i am on time they bluntly said we can not give you boarding pass as you are late and when I request them they told that as we are seeing you can not walk because you are physically handicap, but I told them when i can walk inside the airport why I am not able to walk till the plane. When they feel that I will not move from there ,so they told me that we can do a favor to you on the same ticket you can tomorrow without any extra and they have mentioned the same on ticket also and the time mentioned on the ticket 4.35 am after 25 min request. When i said that please allow me to board the flight and send my luggage tomorrow I don’t have any problem. So at 5 o clock they told me that flight is already gone, now its not possible but the flight departure time was 5.30 am. I heard some incidences related Air India's mismanagement from my family/friends. I thought it does not happen always. Unfortunately, I booked this flight and there it was. Air India at its worst. Staff was so blunt and ignorant, I cannot explain. I had to reach to my sister place in the afternoon same day and after that they denied give the new ticket for next day, they are giving me alternative that take fresh tickets on triple price because this ticket is useless now, as i have booked it in September so it is cheap in amount, so nothing will be adjusted. So by this we can say that if somebody booked the ticked in advance he has to face this kind of problem. I request to please take action against these Air India Company for being such rude, ignorant and mismanaging things. They cannot manage the bookings or may stuff more people in the flights with extra bookings in and then remove some at last moment like us. I swear not take Air India flight again. What will happen if a person has some medical or family emergency?

OK, Air India, you are losing my respect, and patronage - and as someone working in the UN, I can make sure all my colleagues learn of this, too - if not resolved in 24 hours. I flew AI from Kabul to Delhi on 21 July, continuing on to Singapore on AI380 and Jakarta on JT153, both on 22 July. First, your transfer system in Delhi showed HLP as the airport code for Jakarta - incorrect, that's Halim Perdana, a military airfield. The correct code for Jakarta is CGK - which one of your staff finally forced the system to accept. OK, fine - except for the fact that JT (which is Lion Air) explains to me that AI has no agreement with it, hence my bag remains in Singapore. Now, I fully understand the concept of "no agreement," but AI accepted to book my bag to CGK, hence IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY to see that it arrives here!!! Do you want me to also complain to IATA, and post on Facebook? I'm happy to comply and complain vociferously. So, transfer the bag to Lion Air or whichever other carrier you care to use, and get it to me NOW! The bag tag is [protected]. No excuses! Get the bags to Jakarta, and coordinate with Mr. Taufik of Lion Air, mobile[protected], who will inform me.

My name is Tarun (Mob.-[protected]). I had booked a Chandigarh-Bangalore (via) Mumbai flight (PNR YV6F9) on Dec 15, 2012 to travel on Feb 04, 2013. The flight cost me around Rs. 4600. Due to change in my travel plan I had to reschedule the flight to travel on Jan 21, 2013 for which I called the Air India customer care on Dec 20, 2012. The Air India customer care executive informed me that rescheduling would cost me approx. Rs.3400 (approx. Rs.2000 rescheduling charges for 2 flights and approx. Rs.1400 difference in flight rate on the two dates). I was asked to pay this amount at the Air India Counter at Chandigarh Airport. I was told that the rescheduling amount of Rs.3400 would remain unchanged irrespective of the day I get the ticket issued. I replied in affirmative and my flight was rescheduled. Two days before my travel, I again cross checked with the Air India customer care about the rescheduling amount and I was again told that I should pay Rs.3400 at the airport to get the ticket. However, at the Air India counter at the Chandigarh Airport (on the day of my flight i.e. Jan 21, 2013) I was asked to pay Rs.4949 for the ticket by the Air India official. On my repeated requests the official did not listen and said that he would not issue the ticket unless I paid the amount of Rs.4949. On the contrary he said that the Air India customer care people are foolish. As I was carrying only Rs.4600 in cash, I had to call my family to pay the remaining amount at the Air India office in Chandigarh. Their behavior caused a lot of inconvenience to me and my family.
                                  Kindly take necessary action.

                                  Thanks

WRD — Fare charged in Excess

I booked a ticket vide PNR [protected] for VSG to KPG for Shirdi darshan. As it was in WL I booked another confirmed ticket from VSg to PUNE PNR([protected]). At VSG itself I requested TTE to extend my ticket upto KPG.The TTE advised me to get it extended in PUNE. I at 4.00AM approx myself approached TTE Mr. Baldev Singh to extend the ticket but he said that this should have been done by his predecessor and if I wanted tickets penalty would be charged.I explained all the circumstances but he was in no mood to make my ticket. I asked him to impose penalty. He charged Rs 250/ per ticket penalty and Rs 178/ toward fare upto Manmad.A total of Rs. 856/- for two persons was charged and berth no 34, 35 in S6 alloted( Receipt No.A845673). Berths were occupied by young army personnel from Belgaun. The TTE never bothered to vacate the berths. The TTE complimented me as if I were Kanoon Mantree(Law minister). From Manmad I travelled with ticket vide PNR ([protected])

My advice is to facillitate continued ticket net booking.
Make TTE responsible for extending journey.

                                  Thanks

AI-608 to leave at 21:20hrs on 11th January 2013 was filled with some other passengers and about 10 o[censored]s booked on this flight were denied seats. Even web check-ins were tampered (5D upgraded to 1F after argument). 3B was vacant but I was denied. Staff lied to us, bullied (I reported well before 1hour), they tried all tricks to turn us back. When 6 o[censored]s stood there for 2 hours, they got us into Jet Konnect. No food/water offered. I was advised that I should have reported even earlier and that they do this everyday to passengers. They even suggested one of the younger lady to buy a ticket for next day for 32,000Rs. (Bengaluru-Chandigarh).
This is a disgusting experience. I had to plead that I have a sick child at home and I have to return. Staff were pathetic, lying creeps. They told me that flight was downgraded (from 160 seater to 120 seater). Within half an hour, infront me the same bald, dark, short guy tells others that they filled the AI 608 seats with passengers stranded from 7pm flight.
Not even an apology offered by staff. They were all the time trying to make passengers believe that it is passengers fault. Horrible experience.
How can they even tamper the web check-ins? Could not they adjust the 7pm passengers in other airlines (as they did to us in the end after making us wait for 2 hours)? Isn’t there common sense and passenger convenience never in mind for dumb, clueless, impolite staff? They were even gloating that they do this everyday. Most pathetic experience.
This is a national carrier with tax payers money drained every day into. If they start cheating passengers, where will passengers go? In the name of cost cutting, they are giving curry Puffs as snacks through out the day. Then they are lying to valid ticket holders and making them go away and possibly selling the seats to someone else. Can anything be worse?

I called Air India Customer care at 2:09 on 13/01/2013 and spoke to a Staff named GIRI, I dont know if he was Drunk or Sleepy, he was very RUDE on the call. I wanted to know which are the Dreamliner Flights available for Travel to Delhi, and I was complimenting by letting him know that I wanted to get an Experience travelling in Dreamliner as I have heard good feedback and reviews about the B787, This staff (GIRI) was so RUDE on the call mentioned below are some statements made by him.

                                      What you want?
                                      You want information or not?
                                      What your so childish...
There is a call waiting, your taking so much time.
Helloo gentlemen, you want information or not?
                                      Hellooo your blaming me ah?
I know your talking softly, now what I have to do?

I was shocked, the way he was speaking to me. I told him see I am being so polite to you and I have not abused you, I am talking very softly, he kept me on mute and then when I told him I know you have kept me on mute, he disconnected my call.
I have wrote a Complaint feedback on Air India website Reference Number is WB-DBLR[protected]

I called again to Air India customer care and spoke to a Staff (Firoz) to tell what happened on the previous call, what his colleague (GIRI) did on the call. I asked him where their call center is located, he told its in Mumbai. I asked him if they were Direct Employee of Air Inida or it outsourced to someother company, He told me it was NOT Air India and it was someother company. Then he told I cant give that information, I replied saying I got to know that Air India has outsourced its call center.

And Air India has outsourced its call center to some junk company who has such unprofessional employees who spoil the Reputation of their company and its Client.

The staff whom I had called again to complaint has told that I would be getting a call from Air India. This kind of Customer service is NOT Acceptable.

I have travelled on 31 Dec, 2012 via flight of Air India AI 809 from New delhi to Ranchi.

My baggage was throughuly checked in by the Air India Staff at the New Delhi Airport Baggage Tag no : [protected] but didnt reach the destination on 31 December, 2012 at Ranchi.

After contacting numerous times, Air India stop picking up the call. The irresponsibility of Air Inida not only caused agony, grief and harassment to the me it also caused us a lot of trouble and money as all my winter wear clothes were in the baggage.

Madhuri waghe was supposed to inform me about my luggage but she is not only telling me that she is not responsible as baggage has not reached Ranchi so she could do nothing. I called delhi airport and they told me to call Madhuri ffrom Ranchi airport. Thay all are redirecting to each other and i am clueless now.

                                        Thanks,

As I was accompanying a business collegue to Miami on a last minute flight, I was obliged to book a three legged flight to LHR from Central America, via Miami and JFK, the last leg being with Air India. Normally I wouldn't bother but it was an attractive fare almost half the standard rate to London. The second part of the A.A. journey to NY, however, was almost 2 hours late and the delays were further compounded by being stacked above JFK airport for a half hour and then another 20 minutes just sitting on the tarmac. The end result was that I arrived in the terminal only 10 minutes before my Air India flight was scheduled to leave. OF course the delays didn't lay with Air India and I resigned myself to the next A.A. flight that evening to London. Unfortunately, my baggage was automatically forwarded to Air India and, as I was unable to check in, my baggage was left behind, presumably to be forwared on the following day. 5 days later, however, the baggage has not appeared and I'm starting to claim for the loss of my personal possessions for my one month trip. My complaint is that despite innumerable messsages to Air India, they have resolutely refused to acknowledge receipt, never mind answer A.A.'s messages and have failed to advise if the baggage is still sitting in Air India in JFK. It's not conceivable that they have never received any inquiry for my baggage and, with any response still pending after some 5 days since the inquiry began here in LHR, I wonder what Air India's baggage staff are being paid for. What is there role in such a simple issue and what are they doing to destroy Air India's reputation. As it is, and if Air India JFK are not obliged to extend the common courtesies between airlines and to fellow passengers, I'll be damned if I ever travel Air India again and that goes for everybody my company. My flight was AI 112 for 26th June, JFK to LHR. Is there anybody in Air India that can give their JFK baggage staff a proverbial kick up the backside and get them to respond to A.A.'s inquiry?

I had a nightmare experience with Air India when I travelled London to Kathmandu via Delhi. I lost my baggage in Delhi airport and never been found. They did not give me refund as well. In bound flt was delayed by 24 hrs then had to strand inside the airport. No hotel and no foods were offerred.

                                        Dear Sir/Madam,

I'm writing this on my brother Giles George behalf who traveled on Air India 23rd June 2009, from Yerevan(Armenia) to New Delhi. He had a transit in Dubai where Air India authorities were very rude to their whole group. They initially said that his ticket is not confirmed from Dubai to New Delhi, even though the ticket was confirmed from Yerevan itself. Then he was at last allowed to enter before half an hour of take off from Dubai Airport. When he reached New Delhi Airport he came to know his luggage is missing. He filed a complaint.
As he is a resident of Kota (Rajasthan) he stayed there for his luggage, as next day itself they confirmd that his luggage is still in Dubai & they have tracked it. He went on 26th also where he was told by Air India Authorities very rudely that when ever the luggage will reach they will contact. Till now there is no news from their side.
I have some questions to ask from Air India Authority

                                        1. Why the authorities speak so harshly & rudely to the customers, specially to Indians itself in an foreign country where they are supposed to help them?
2.Why didn't they tell him at Yerevan itself that his ticket was not confirmed?
3.And does it take so long for the luggage to reach from Dubai airport to New Delhi Airport, where the luggage has already been located by the Air India authorities?

                                        Regards
                                        Giss George

                                        Dear Sir,
This is to bring to your notice that it has been 13 days and I have still not received my baggage.
I took AI flight number AI131 from Mumbai airport on Oct 10, 2009 at 0135 hours (boarding time) Seat Number – 41K (Mumbai to London). At check-in time no tag was put on the bag on insistence they assured that required information is captured in the system and bag will reach at destination safely.
But on arrival at London Heathrow airport (Terminal 3) my worst fear came true. I didn't find my bag. A complain was lodged with Airport officials, following reference number AHL LHRI 10555 was provided.
This bag contained various essential household items, all my clothes and most importantly medicines. I had to purchase various essential items and i have still not been able to get medicines for my severe acidity.
I have suffered tremendously on financial, mental and physical front due to gross baggage mismanagement by AI. I hereby humbly request AI authorities and ministry of aviation to look into this and get my baggage retrieved at earliest. I also sincerely request concerned authorities to look into this at a broader level and stream line baggage management so that no one else goes thru similar suffering.

                                        Your Sincerely

                                        Dear Sir,

Since So many days local RTO police is blocking the entery of vehicals comming from jogeshwari ( through Highway) to pump house ( Jijamat Road ), When asked to loacl officer How to go to pump house ? He advised us to go all the way to chakala then to Nelco then to shera punjab then to agadhi nagar - pump house ! . Ithink this is unresonable to travel 2.5 km for actully distance of 150 mtrs.

                                        Pls look into this matters

                                        Thanks

My husband, two daughters and I trevelled to Singapore on AI 480 dated 28dec 2009.We were travelling there to admit our elder daughter to college, hence, for all the formalities to be completed.we were to stay in Singapore for 10 days. Also,we were travelling with 5 checked in bags and no hand bags.To my utter shock, dismay and horror, the heaviest bag weighing 35Kgs.did not reach the destination. We completed the formalities at the Lost Baggage Section and were handed over a Property Irregularity Report. We were told that as soon as the bag was traced,we would be informed. We were given two tel.nos.where we could enquire about the status of the bag. KINDLY PAY SPECIAL ATTENTION TO THE REST OF THE COMPLAINT.......I chose AIRINDIA OUT OF LOYALTY TO THE NATIONAL CARRIER,but I must say here that it was one of the most humiliating experiences in all my years of extensive international travel. No country in the world must be treating their citizens as shabbily as this.We received absolutely no communication from the airline about the bag,and all the calls that we made on the 2 nos.given were not received.NOT EVEN ONE CALL WAS ANSWERED.All my personal effects were in the bag which was missing. Most naturally, after checking into the hotel after a considerable delay at the airport,we were forced to go to the shops as I had to shop for my basic necessities such as toiletries, lingerie and a pair of clothes. We were in a foriegn land with limited resources meant mainly for our daughter, having to waste it as the airline had not delivered my bag.The next day, after still not getting any call fromthe airline and no response to the hundreds of calls that we made to the airline,we had no choice but to go to the airport to enquire about the bag.It was a huge task trying to contact the Lost Baggage Section from outside the airport as the same problem persisted. They were just not answering the phone.Subsequently,I was issued a police pass to enter and utterly harassed when I reached their,I was asked very rudely,as to why I had made the trip to the airport,I was in tears as I had absolutely no clothes or shoes to wear.My elder daughter had to move into the hostel and items of her use for her hostel room were also in the bag.At times like this, the frustration is extremely high, since we were having to spend on things which were necessary, but because of some negligence on the airline's part we were having to suffer the consequences. And to make it worse, the INSUFFERABLE ARROGANCE of the staff.Respectable people treated as if we were out to make a fast buck at the cost of the airline.Taxi charges were not offered or given to us and to top it all,the bag had vanished into thin air.For the rest of my trip my bag was not located and till date I have not received a single call from the airline about the bag.I am extremely agitated about the attitude of the airline and the nonchalant behaviour of the staff towards its passengers.I had been waiting all this while since I had been hoping against hope that my bag might still be traced,as I had submitted a detailed list to the lost baggage here of the items in the bag,but after all this time,I realized that this is not going to happen.I must reiterate here that I expect a prompt reply to my complaint and also inform me when to expect my bag.

My aunt lost her baggage today with the Air India. She was coming from Norht America to New Delhi. The Flight to New Delhi was disgusting as they took 4 hrs to tell the passangers that the luggage is delayed! Later they told her that they have lost her baggage and harassed her. It is indeed a 3rd rate service! I have resolved never to fly Air India and be disgusted. God helps this Airline! I feel bad as I am of Indian Origin and it is not nice to have such an experience being related to the Airline of the country of my Origin.

I hope some sense of responsibility strikes with Air Inida officials and they get their acts together. They can do it!! However, someone needs to act on it. Some high executive needs to take a firm action to drastically improve their brand and customer service.

All the best Mr. Executive! I hope you can accomplish this tough task.
I do agree with that. Air India does not function with the required competitiveness and therefore the loos. It has become a burden on public exchequer. Once I booked a ticket in Air India to fly from Chennai to Chicago. My daughter and grand daughter (one year old) had a return tickets with bassinet seat in the same flight and I had to accompany them in their return journey. Since there was no provision here to block the seat through website I had through my travel agent sent a request through mail to allot a seat by the side of my daughter in the bassinet seat row. To my surprise I got seat allotment somewhere where there is no bassinet provision and shifted both my daughter and my grand daughter nearer to my seat. How to carry the one year old child without comforting her at least during night hours ib a bassinet? All my efforts to rectify it proved futile and at last I had to use all my powers to influence Air India management to restore matters to our favour. How many of the general public have this chance to bring such influence?. Air India Management must make definite improvements.

                                        Air India — Luggage lost

I am ashamed to say, Air India is the worst international Flight. Never ever travel with it, even if they are willing to give free service. I lost my luggage and it is delivered after a week, I lost worth of 33k Rs. from my baggage and I called almost every day. But they tried to tell me different stories, finally they told your name does not exist in the data base now. Even many of my freinds experienced the same problem.

Please its my kind request, If you need a safe and happy journey. then say no to Air India.

My father -in-law B.K. Sinha (age 75) went to mumbai from Chicago via Delhi on 11/28/2010 . One of his baggage was missing and he was harrassed for 4 hours before he could finally file a complain.Next day they said the luggage went to Calcutta and they want the passenger to go to Calcutta and receive the baggage. What the heck!! Have not received the baggage till now.Air india sucks. there is always issues for lost baggages and stolen belongings. I think employees are are paid poorely so they steal passengers's belongings and their baggages to run their livlihood. they all should be put behind bars and AIR INDIA should be shut down. There is no body to listen and they only know how to harrass the passengers. God alone knows what the ministry is doing in India. I along with lots and lots of people hate AIR INDIA. People have started avoiding their flights by AIR INDIA.I think I should take my complain to media so that other people can also be aware of the truth.

My family arrived on 8th of September by AI-921, Mubai to Riyadh, unfortunately one parcel did not arrive after long check up by Air India Representative we realised that the guy who booked this baggage from mumbai has played by tagging other parcel with two tags, this clearly indicates how they are robbing clients, we lodged a complaint number 13195, we did call them on daily basis but as you know Air India Services, till date there is no one guiding right path, will appreciate if some one gudies rightly how to collect the missing baggage, I am sure if the higher management of AI presses the guy at counter who booked boarding passes the parcel will be traced and in fact many others like me will not under go similar pains, hence reqest the tope management of Air Inda to look into the above complaint and do their best to deliver my missing baggage. or else there is no other alternate left with, only we can write to india television media to highlight this stupidity of Air India infront of the world and protect indian citizens from getting robbed, we thought AI is our national carrier and we must help it with business but this way it was our biggest mistake to think of robbers sitting in air india counters.

Hope there will be some action - rgds/ Bilal
To whom so ever it may concern,
I Ajay Kumar Sharma, travelled from Hongkong to Ahmadabad on 27th Oct 2012 from AirIndia flight 315 and booked my luggage by tag number AI823275. My ticket number was[protected]C4. On my Delhi arrival I checked baggage on respective belt but observed my bag missing. Finally I reported to Air-India baggage claim service and they issued me property irregularity report file reference number DELAI44633/27OCT12/17002GMT. I completed all the formalities related to custom and took the next flight to Ahmadabad.
Now after reaching home I am trying to check with the baggage service on the numbers, +91-[protected]/+91-[protected], given on the property irregularity report but receiving no response and finally they are switched off.
I am in an impatient position and stressed out as my important documents, all my cloths and other valuable items are in the bag. I request you to help me in tracing out my bag immediately and advice to whom should I contact now onward.
Got my baggage after 25 days. Thanks Air India!
