On 5th july, i received the below message,
"follo celebrities service has been [protected]@rs90" for 30days. txn id n[protected], service will be renewed after validity expiry"

So when i called the customer care, they said they can not do anything about it. and this service is activate via internet.
But i did not request for any such services. also they said it will be activate only if i confirm by sending a message.
So i told them i did not send any such confirmation and i asked the executive to provide me details about these confirmation message that they claimed to be sent by me, but then customer care said its not possible to retrieve such information. they are not ready to give any information and just ignore my concern by by saying that it is not by airtel.

If not by airtel why do they have access to airtel account???

How can airtel deduct money from my balance without any confirmation.

The executive said that these services are not part of airtel, but then how could they have access to my account balance if they are not part of airtel, and if not, then airtel should take customer's permission before giving access to external parties.

Also, i could see that this same issue has been faced by other customers too. so, if ppl didnt notice such things, then airtel will keep scamming the customers.

I also became victim of above fraud

I am not able to understand that how airtel can push our money kept in account automatically without our knowledge for such activation.

I request airtel to refund the money back to my account

    I am writing to you regarding balance deduction of rs.90 for a service called follo celebrities without consent/intervention on midnight of july6th and 7th.

    This is the second instance in two days. First on my mobile no[protected] an amount of rs.35 was deducted for super store vas. After complaining through email the amount was added back to my balance.

    Now on another mobile no [protected] belonging to my family, airtel deducted an amount of rs.90 for a vas we don't know and don't use.

    At midnight when everyone is sleeping airtel deducted this. Now i have five airtel connections, 3 prepaid and 2 post paid and i am worried how much money you will deduct without our knowledge.

    Only because the network is good we joined it, but if they stoop down to such low levels to make money, i am afraid customers will lose trust in airtel brand.

    Please don't put the blame on us by saying 'you only activated the service'. This is the second complaint i am writing in two days. Restore my balance immediately.

    Following my email complaint, Airtel customer care replied that they have de activated the VAS service and added back the amount deducted as a one time benefit only. I don't how they will respond in future if something like this happens. I suggest Airtel introduce OTP system for these services or some other mechanism so that this nuisance doesn't arise at all. Thanks [email protected]. email customer care seems to be better that calling the customer care.

      Im gowtham and my mobile number is [protected]. I have been activated with airtel super store service. I don't know what is that and customer care people said that I have activated it. It was activated for the first time and Rs 50 was deducted from my balance. I spoke to customer care and I asked them to return my money and they say I activated it. They have the money is not returnable. This is ridiculous from airtel. Why should they charge me for something I haven't activated? After long conversation with them, the next day another Rs 100 has been deducted from my balance. I want my 150 back. RS 50 has been deducted from my balance on 6th July 2016 at 2:06, I spoke to the customer care on the same day. Another 100 has been deducted from my balance on July 7 2016 at 12.42.I haven't used the internet during the time I was deducted balance.

        My Name is Chetan Bendale & my airtel mobile number is +91-[protected]
        Airtel have charge me Rs 50 on 7 July 2016 at 3:16 AM for superstore service.
        After talk with customer care they told me the service is active by wap & they cant refund my money as I am not eligible for refund.
        I have not used my mobile for any purpose from 1AM to 6AM, also my mobile internet was not active bet that time. Airtel have activate service without my consent.
        If Airtel does not solve it & refund me I have to transfer my number other other operator using MNP. This is not the first time Airtel activate service without my consent its happen before.
        If I have to file police complaint I will, as I am sick of Airtel lies service.
        So look in to this matter.

        After file this complaint, next day I receive call from Airtel customer care representative. He told me that they cant give me refund, after explaining all process, he still told me same answer..My question & his answer as bellow,
        Q:- I ask his how can Airtel charge me Rs 50 without my permission ?
        A:- Airtel dont charge any amount without any customer permission
        Q:- How does Airtel active superstore service on my mobile?
        A:- It is activated my wap
        Q:- I have not toch my mobile from 1 AM to 6 AM & dont have active net on my mobile that time, so how does my mobile connect to internet without internet & without any toch activate service.
        A:- Airtel dont charge any amount without any customer permission

        So I told him I have to file legal complaint against Airtel, as I have not activate superstore service. I have check my internet use by calling customer care & Aiitel representative told me I have not use any data on 7 July 2016.
        So my point is if I have to active internet or without touch mobile in that time so how do I active any wap service
        This mean Airtel is activating this kind of service on there own & telling customer lies that they dont active any service without customer permission.
        After search on consumercomplaint I found 1 user have file same complaint & he get refund by emailing, so after message to "renjuhtrz" he give me Airtel email address as bellow,

        I have send same complaint to them & after 5-6 hours later I got my money refund back.
        This type of charges happen to me before & that time I could not get refund, as there non response customer care & now they charge money for calling customer care.

        I am using Airtel from 10 year & now Airtel service is very bad, I have to MNP my mobile number to another network .

We have been a very good customers of airtel and we all in my family using the airtel number. The network in this area is so bad that i can not even make a call.             I am airtel suscriber "[protected]" and i am very anguished and sad about the treatment received from the airtel company.
            Since, they boast of providing network everywhere and their network towers can be mapped and searched but this is all false propoganda. i am not receiving any signal (0tower) in late evening till morning from last 45 days. i have complained about the same to the company several times and every time they assure me that the technical problem will be sorted soon but i am suffering from it till now.

              Without opting for follo celebraties I received SMS that rs.90 has been deducted how come this can happen to me with out my concern. I request airtel to check the same and refund the amount asap. If it happens while browsing then now we should not use airtel internet for browsing? And I have opted for deactivation of VAS Immediately. This is not fair in cheating a customer. If it is done by just browsing then airtel is responsible not customers.

                I applied for reactivation of #[protected] on 11the jun 2016 at thakur village gallery, mumbai and visited them for follow ups 3 times. but still not activated. they changed the sim once. i have written on twitter 6 days back and they said that they will call me now - i am waiting for the call for 6 days. written to appellate and no reply. i have paid rs. 225 for the sim. but no activation yet. this is the worst service i have ever faced. obviously airtel has become worst now. can some one listen to a customer. my number is [protected].

                  I suddenly get an SMS from Airtel telling me that I have been charged 99 Rupees for some superstore service that I did not even subscribe for.

                  I immediately deactivated the service via sms and tried calling customer care. Just getting through to customer care is a pain let alone the long wait period. I guess Airtel knows that they are at fault and therefore complicate their IVR menu.

                  anyway the call dropped or hung even before being answered and I was charged 50p for the same.

                  I have not activated any such service, but have been charged. I am sure I am not the only one to face this issue. Please get me justice by having my money refunded at the earliest.

                  My attempts to contact Airtel have been futile and I am looking forward to a quick and acceptable resolution.

                    Airtel superstore got activated and debited my rs 35
                    I contacted the airtel customer care.They r telling that its a value added service that i hav activated.
                    They told that it activates if we touch any link in d internet, but in my case, the service was activated when i did not even touch the internet the complete day .
                    i have no idea how airtel can activate such service without proper authentication ?
                    if no proper solution from airtel i m planning to port to other network provider

                      I am an Airtel DTH customer since 3 years.
                      On 4 July, my video got stopped and i filed a complaint. Since 2 days I am calling the customer care and requesting to get it fixed as I am a working person and won't be available at home always.
                      2 days they were giving me random times and finally when i got a call from their so-called engineering he said he will come in 1 hour but he didn't turned up and was not picking call as well.
                      This is pathetic.

                      Unauthorised Mobile Tower has been installed at the roof of House No. 13/45, Subhash Nagar, New Delhi - 27. As Mobile towers are not allowed to be installed in residential colonies. You are requested to kindly take strict action against the same.

                        Airtel is enabling 3rd party service like "follo celebrities " and charged Rs 90 or more for that.

                        According Airtel customer care, if i click on any ads knowingly or unknowingly which connected to airtel in my mobile, the respectively 3rd party service will be activated.

                        but in my case, the service was activated when i did not even touch the internet the complete day .

                        i have no idea how airtel can activate such service without proper authentication ?

                        if not proper answer from airtel, i planning to cancel the service.


                        this are the following messages i got when i was driving .

                        1st SMS

                        Typo in title : Airtel enabling 3rd party service without any request
                        Today at 1am the airtel Follo All Week service of 35rs per week got activated by itself on my number. My balance got deducted by rs 35, I want the refund of the amount as it was not activated from my part. The customer care executive didn't respond properly when called and refused to raise complaint and blamed me for the Activation.

                            This is to bring to your notice that I have yet not been refunded the money in my account for the two of the three failed internet banking transactions done through Axis bank for Rs. 252 each of Airtel 3G 1GB data recharge done on 20th and 21st June 2016. I had informed the customer care then who advised me to wait for 48 hours to get refund. Its been 15 days since then and I am yet to receive any refund. Axis bank says that money has already been paid to the Airtel and hence cannot be refundeed by the bank. One of the three transactions was successful. Hence I request you to refund me Rs. 504 (252+252) immediately without further delay.

                                  I have a Airtel 4G broadband connection number ([protected]) which worked fine for some months and started giving low bandwidth issues . I have 2 major pending issues which needs attention :-

                                  Problem 1 :-

                                  I downgraded the connection from 15Gbps to 10Gbps online and during this downgrade the system put me on a plan which automatically starts the charging me at a higher rate once I consume by base pack of 10Gbps .This was done without informing me .I called the call center and they said this is way it will be and cannot change . I already have another connection and in that plan the connection downgrades from 4G to a lower speed and iam still able to access the internet . I insisted that they put me on the same plan but they refused . There was an additional charge due to this and I want the same to be reversed as I had no clue no intimation about the same

                                  Problem 2:-

                                  There were additional charges due to some erroneous smart byte activation which I was promised will be reversed but never happened . More detals are in the below interaction ids

                                  interaction id :[protected] ...rachna yeole for reducing 500/- for the current bill
                                  interaction id [protected] ...Bhagyasgree...500/- waiver + Complain for 300/- Smart byte waiver
                                  interaction id [protected] :- 416/- waiver for smart byte showing in pending status

                                  After so many follow ups the bill continued to show an higher amount and this got be completely frustrated and I asked the agent to discontinue my connection and I stopped using it . I sent mails to the customer care regarding the same .

                                  But since this is a -4G broadband the monthly rentals continued and I kept of receiving the bills . Obviously I don’t want to pay what I have not consumed and that too I had to stop using this connection because of Airtel’s fault .

                                  Iam getting calls from the recovery agents and even though I explained the problem the calls have continued to harass me .

                                  The harassment doesn't end here .Today I got a call from some lawyer asking me to settle this or else I will have to face court proceedings. When I asked him the details he started threatening and abusing me .


                                  HOPING FOR A PROMPT ACTION ON THE MISCONDUCT OF YOUR RECOVERY AGENTS AND A CALLBACK BY A RESPONSIBLE PERSON WHO CAN RESOLVE THE ISSUE AMICABLY.

                                    I have an Airtel number: [protected] which I have been using for the last 10 years. I moved to abroad last year August'15 and using this number for all incoming messages. This number has suddenly deactivated because of no usage for 90 days. I am sure that it has sufficient funds in it and had life time validity. I have tried calling customer care so many times but no use. Please help me activate this SIM.

                                      I am a business man... my business depends on online marketing and ads.. my airtel broadband has not been working for the past one week and i called them everyday inspite of the busy schedule i have.. they don't even seem to care... just for the moment customer care executive will talk nice and thats it over... after that we have to call again and we have to narrate from the start to another person... its like a story telling competition... airtel is one of the costlier broadbands around but there service is very pathetic and poor and i am changing my connection...

                                        Hi team,

                                        I am using the broadband connection which is having the speed limit of 8 mbps.
                                        On july 4th 5: 55 am to 6:37 am as per airtel data usage history it is showing that i have used 24.49 gb of data. i have raised a complaint to airtel and sent the screen shots of the portal also. the complaint number : 69792298.

                                        I have not got a proper response from airtel about this data usage. i had to buy a smart pack to avail data separately. i have asked the airtel team that with my bandwidth is it possible to download or upload 25 gb of data in just 42 mins of time? they are saying its a valid scenario. i did not understand how and what went wrong with my account. airtel people are not responding to my e mails also. this is completely cheating and unnatural.

                                        Even after multiple requests raised to airtel they were unable to explain the data loss with my account. they are just saying it is valid entry. more over i have requested airtel to check the speed on 3rd just due to reduction in the speed. still they are saying that i have used 25 gb of data in 40 mins.

                                        Please look in to this issuw and help me to get the proper response.
