Dear Mr Mittal

Me and my entire family has been airtel's customer for more than a decade now. Unfortunately we are now switching to some other network as the customer care staff you have by the name of Vikas sharma interaction I'd 21517434 refused to help me in any way and said if you want to leave airtel you can. I would request you to take strict action against this as you may loose a huge number of customers because of this.

    Airtel 4g wifi plans were initially like normal wifi plans like the ones provided by other companies wherein the customer subscribes to a limited amount of data at high speed after the exhaustion of which the speed is slowed down. Airtel recently, without any sort of intimation to its customers, converted these plans into cpe locked data plans where after the exhaustion of the data, without providing with any sort of initmation that the data has been consumed in its entirety, credits some more miniscule amount of data at an exorbitant rate to the customer and ends up adding rs. 500 to the bill. And the cherry on the cake is, that in most instances they do not really give you any extra data but just end up adding rs. 500 to your bill, since there is absolutely no way to check whether any extra data has been added to your account or not. So, there is absolutely no sort of intimation by them to the customer that their data has been consumed, they provide additional data at an exorbitant rate and then later charge for it all without the customer's consent, then there is no way to check whether they have provided any extra data or not, all three of which are absolutely against trai regulations.

    This kind of plan introduced by airtel is absolutely illegal, since trai regulations mention that a service provider needs to send messages to the customer at the expiry of 50%, 90% and 100% data consumption. They also mention that a provider needs to stop the data services at the expiry of prescribed limit since the customer's consent is only for that amount of data which he prescribed for and the provider cannot provide extra data and then charge for it without the customer's consent. Trai also mentions that the service providers need to provide with a method to customers to check their data usage, but there is none such provision by airtel for their so called 'extra data' charged for. Airtel via these illegal plans is cheating its customers countrywide who have subscribed to these plans without even their knowledge that they are being ripped off their money.

    My previous internet connection was by connect and they always used to provide messages intimating consumers about their 50%, 90% and 100% data usage and never used to credit any service without consent. Airtel on the other hand being the most renowned service provider in the country indulges in such unscrupulous activites.

    I have called up their customer care, written mails to airtel, and i have to admit that airtel customer care is the most pathetic one that i have ever come across. They have some really incompetent employees handling their customer care, who just keep sending me details of various bill plans available with them in mail after mail, despite me telling them explicitly that my mails are not to enquire about bill plans and explicitly mentioning my problem to them.

    I really have my doubts if airtel would actually resolve this problem since they have found this method of cheating their customers on such a wide scale. I really want to lodge a complaint with trai and would be glad if somebody can guide me as to how to go about it.

      Land line and wifi problem... Sir as we know you have million customer but you can't even attend all customer in same time.. As we are requesting you ple divert our complaint our area wo is supervising the land line complaints. We are using this connection for our emergency usage. But its not working properly. Even we have complained many times.. Ter is no proper response.. If not solved if its problem in your end.. Then don't charge us in further...

        I applied for a new broadband connection from Airtel on 25th May, 2016.
        I paid for the new connection and even submitted all required documents after getting a technical feasibility for the connection in my area.

        I was promised a connection would be installed within 48 hours of the application.

        Till date, i.e. even after more than a month no one from Airtel has contacted me for the connection and fulfilment of the service.

        I have multiple complaints to the customer service and even to the appellate authority of Airtel. But no one seems to be taking any responsibility.

          My sim card has been deactivated, without prior informing me at least the company should have contacted me or sent a message that they are going to deactivate my no. I was using the sim for incoming calls only but it doesn't means that i didn't ever used it for making calls. It was deactivated on 21 june and no notice was given to me before deactivating my sim. I request airtel to return my number back to me otherwise i will have to take some other actions.

            I am staying in mamun cantt
            I had given a complaint of poor voice and data coverage. I was given false promises by mr mahajan an airtel employee that coverage will be good and there is 4g coverage here then he said it's actually 3g platinum
            The complaint number reference no. 69986804 was given and i was told it will be resolved
            The guy on the helpline who took the complaint acknowledged that voice was not clear
            Some foolish messages were sent to me saying someone tried to call but couldn't get through and today without anything being done on it they said the issue has been resolved
            This transparency nonsense is all bull
            Please spend more money in putting towers than making some crap advertisements

              Airtel activated this nonsense service called "follow celebrities" on my phone for Rs 60/ month on my phone number from nowhere. When i called the customer care, they told me i had clicked on an advertisement during browsing the internet and it got activated, to which i replied i never did that, then customer care was very happy speaking about how i must have mistakenly clicked on such advertisement which people generally do during browsing., no refund provided.

                Today I also got the same message . Without my knowledge and consent this service was activated. Airtel customer care deactivated the service and said rs 90 won't be charged. But I will only know once the bill is generated.

                Airtel CC also declined to take a complain as they claim this is 3rd party service.. but my point is it is riding on airtel to make money and run it's business through unethical activities and is cheating. Airtel should remove them using their service. If airtel doesn't I will consider it as encouraging and a party to this scam.

                    Issue is pending from your end since dec 2015. You charged incorrectly and airtel billing system is faulty and always billed customer while it is not in use. I raised complain and keep sending reminder but your team closed most of the sr without customer approval.

                      I am using this airtel postpaid 3g connection, since last 2 months my bill is coming around 900 approx, i dont know within dusration of 2days only the datapack get consumed by 90%, when i am not using it

                      Even the call get dropped, such a pathetic network it is
                      Everytime i call to the customer support department, they address my complaint but never get it rectified

                      Is this your customer service, i put at sushant lok gurgaon but also no network is there, is this your open network strategy

                        I am staying in santaldih thermal power township, santaldih, purulia, west bengal-723145 since 9 years and i am using airtel sim since then. Here we are facing a lot of problem regarding the network and there is no mobile internet even 2g here ans i have to forget about 3g if i will stay here. I am spending 3g internet charge and not getting even 2g network properly and it is one type of cheating.

                          Hi Airtel Services,

                          I tried to raise a new broadband request for my fathers place in Lucknow. There were two complaints filed for the same as well. I had to follow up for 15 days approx and everytime i was told that the executive will visit the place in 2 days which ofcourse never happened. and later when i called them, they gave me an answer that there is nothing which can be done as they do not have a port near my fathers place whereas there is a port and plenty of connections available in barely 100meters distance.
                          This is utter non sense to tell a customer that we cant provide you a wifi connection because your house is a 100 meters away from our port.

                            this is suresh kumar goswami residing at sector 15 part 2 gurgaon haryana.
                            i opted for airtel broadband connection and its been 20 days chasing their helpline, the technician and their registered office and the only thing i am offered is harassment.
                            i have made payment of rs 1000/- in lieu of new broad band connection on & 5th june with receipt number :4111473.
                            wiring was done the subsequent day and i was told that i will receive router and connection in couple of days.
                            those couple of days turned into week and then after numerously calling airtel helpline (totally useless) and that technician number, i had to visit airtel broadband office in sahara mall (15 kms from my place) and to my dismal i was told that connection cannot be provided due to some reason. (network port not availabe)

                            because i failed to understand if there is airtel broadband connection at ground floor and second floor why we can't have that on first floor (totally weird)

                            now i have a stuck payment, 20 days time wastage and weird wiring done at my home without any broadband connection.

                            and if network port wasn't available why was payment and other formalities done from airtel broadband side.

                            customer satisfaction and services of airtel is shameful.

                                      Am recharged my number for 1gb 3g data. They provided special offer 4g night pack with the recharge, but wen i used my 3g then i switched on to 4g network, but there is no 4g data avail in my account, then i called customer care, they said am used 900mg 4g at a time so there is no 4g data remaining, then where is remaining 120mb, i asked but they replied u used all data like, nut in my mobile there is no switching option to 3g to 4g, without we change 45 to 3g how the airtel network wil take the 4g night balance at morning time,

                                        Earlier i had a multi-connection but due to some reason i had to split my second connection in order to minimize my expenses then i called to airtel customer care executive and i specifically asked him i also want to downgrade my pack and discontinue hd pack on my second connection also as it will rarely be used, the executive told me that sir you can do it at any time in future, but first you have to recharge your pack as my pack was over at that time.

                                        But today 26/june/16 i recharged my cust. Id and then i called to customer care executive to downgrade my plan and discontinue my hd pack. And one thing i also want to bring notice that i had to make 3-4 time call every time which cost me 50-60rs as they put my call on hold for long, transferring your call to our senior executive, server running slow etc etc.In this types of activities. I don't know why they are doing that whether they want me to make irritate so that i cut the call myself and could not do what i want.

                                        Anyway at last when i told the cust, care executive that please discontinue the services which i told earlier then he told me that we can not down grade your pack as it was sport economy pack earlier, so i told him so what i don't want sport eco. Pack on my second tv and also i asked him why you misguided me earlier that you can make changes later on and also i requested him may i know the reason please, then after some time he put my call on hold and then he suddenly cut the call.

                                        This is not the first time i am facing this kind of issue. Every time when i came across with such kind of activities then i had to trouble a lot. But this time i want to make this issue to escalate little higher because they are un necessary harassing their customer. I will escalate this issue on social media and each and every online complaint platform so that the world know that a company which proclaim itself no.1 company in broadcasting and telecommunication field in india is exactly doing a ridiculous thing to their customer.

                                        And also may i know that why a registered customer of yous of different mobile operator cant call you toll free. I had to bear a lot of money when i call airtel dth customer care. 3-4 minutes are gone on their promotional activities and rest cost which i had to bear i mentioned above e. G. Hold, transfer, server down etc etc.

                                        If this problem has not been sorted out this time then i am definitely throw your junk on dustbin and never use your service again and also encourage others to boycott all kind of your services.
