Hello,

I have a Airtel Prepaid number. I want to PORT out my number from AIRTEL to VODAFONE due to network problem.I had given a request for PORTING my number to Vodafone at Vodafone store with proper documents and ID proof's. They said that my number will be PORTED within 7 days. I got the new SIM also and it will get activated as soon as AIRTEL discontinues the services from there side, as said by the VODAFONE Store staff.

It's been 10 days now that my number has not yet PORTED to VODAFONE, every time I call AIRTEL Customer Care, to know my Status of Porting they say that the request is under process or sometimes they say that it has been cancelled by me which is NOT true. I got a call from Airtel team, they were asking me the reason of porting out. I said that i am facing so much of network issue that's why i want to my number. They said that we'll sort out the problem as soon as they can and asked me to cancel the PORTING request. I said i'll cancel the request If and only if they can do something with the 7days time which i have got from VODAFONE to port out my number. The representative replied that he'll look into the concern and will try to resolve the problem.

Yesterday, when i again called up customer care, that time they said that i have cancelled the complain from my side which i have not. Everytime i call the customer care i am hearing a new excuse from their side. Some say that there is NO DATA regarding porting, some say my number will get ported out soon, some says that I have cancelled the request from my side.

I have registered a complain with AIRTEL regarding the clarification with this issue. They registered my complain with complain number: CMPRO[protected] and assured me that i'll get a call back from there side by 18th July 2012. But still i have not received any call back from them.
I am very much unhappy with their services at this point of time. Airtel doesn't know how to treat their customers.


Kindly look into this matter and help me to get out of this.

Hi,

I have not had internet at my place since Jul 14, 2012. I had complained earlier that landline + internet is not working (req no[protected]. This req no was open until yesterday - someone came to my apartment on 16th July, ran a check with his modem and said the problem will be solved by tonight. I still do not have internet at my place.

From that day I have been calling Airtel everyday and they say the same thing again and again. They say someone will call me by 9 am the next day and the problem will be solved. That never happens! Today, when I called customer care in the morning, they said, the problem has not been solved since the complaint was in the 'landline' category, so he registered another complaint (req no.[protected]. He said I will get a call at 3 pm today regarding this - that did not happen! I called again: this time the person said, I will get a call by 5 pm regarding this...it is past 5 pm and I have got no call. This only shows how incompetent, inefficient and useles people are at airtel customer care are!

Can you tell what is going on here? I want this problem solved as soon as possible. At least have the courtesy to let me know what the status of the problem is!

IF YOU DO NOT SOLVE THIS PROBLEM BY END OF THE DAY TODAY- OF COURSE I WILL CANCEL MY AIRTEL CONNECTION. BUT I WILL ALSO GO TO THE PRESS REGARDING THIS AND REGISTER A CASE IN THE CUSTOMER COURT AND TAKE LEGAL ACTION!

I had Airtel land line phone number [protected] and my account number is 16461655 which i disconnected because i am going to shift from delhi to bombay before last 3 or 4 moths after clear all payments . After Disconnecting phone i am getting so many calls from Airtel to reactivate number again. But now i am getting call for outstanding bill of Rs 540.Please Stop this Calls as soon as possible. I dont have problem to pay rs 540 but it is not fair. And please arrange call back for me and provide one agreement (Slip) which i can show in future . And Airtel please maintain your Data Base care fully

2 days job takes 2 months to accomplish and still not done...

Airtel is in the bad company of dealer network. A franchisee ( cold calling company with few members ) called ( 50-60 times ) me to migrate pre paid to post paid connection. Name "Connecting Group" , location Banashankari 3rd Stage, A person comes to collect the application form, fills 50% , collected Rs 600/ for 2 SIM migrations. After 2 weeks , they say, photo is not proper, After 2 more weeks, the application is submitted to Airtel.

After 4 weeks, when I loose patience , somehow the airtel verification guy from another company called Tangent lands up .
I am surprised to see the application form

He has my and my wife's application , which has different details and photos on its cover. I again give him 2 more photos, since the photos attached belong to some other person.

Finally get sms from airtel, your application is rejected. In the process which should take 48 hrs, I loose 45 days. After which decide to drop the idea of migration. Meanwhile, my money is not refunded. I followup, every time I call, there is a different name to same person who takes the call.

The lady's voice will be same, the name can be Anita, Swaroopa , sometime after seeing the caller id, a man by name Shashidhar will come.

Anyway... this blog is to make sure that 'no one' deals with the company called Connecting group and email id "[protected]@gmail.com" ...

Airtel by keeping such franchisee's will loose customers and money to reduce their business..

A special offer for my mob no [protected] on dialing *121*1*3# has been recd that on recharding of Rs 180/-, a special offr of Rs 190/- talktime, get 157.20 instantly and extra Rs 32.80 to be given within 48 hours. I recharged my Mob no[protected] of Rs 180/- on 13 July 2012 at 07:29 PM. But till date after lapsed 72 hrs, I have not given extra talktime of Rs 32.80 evenafter repeated requested to customer care.
I am sending repeated request to Airtel customer care for rebat be balance amount of talk time of Rs 32.80 but only negative replies recd. Moreover, on dialing customer care 198 and 121 from mobile phone customercare adhikari says mostly repeated lagauge that at present system is not working and I can not give you information and you will talk after two hours. After two hours we talk customercare then other customercare adhikari says same repeated lagauge. Moreover from customercare we have recd reply from your customercare as under :-

At present on dieling *121*1*3#, the same special scheme is
also available on my mob no [protected]. I have received only Rs 157.20 in my main account and balance amount of Rs 32.80 is still pending.

In view of the abvoe, please give me balance talktime amount of Rs 32.80 which is still pending with Airtel and advise all customercare adhikari that they not give repeated replies that system is not working and call after two hours.

Eventhough i refrained myself a lot for writing this email, but i m really very shocked and disappointed by seeing how sales guys are cheating the end customer like us.
i called up at customer care for addon dth connection on 8th july 2012, i talked with guy called mohd sameer, and i did a payment then and there at same time via credit card, he told me that installation will be done in 24 or 48 hrs max as per sla.
First of all i didnt got installation till date and i called everyday at customer care to followup politely and they always gave me false promises and this guy sameer is never ready to speak back to me as he knows he is cheating and not giving me exact status.
i also working as senior position with mnc, there are times when situation is out of control but atleast these guys should make us aware about exact scenario rather that making fake promises.

I had taken a duplicate sim card from airtel center in kathua on 17th of july, 2012 and was told that sim card will start working with in 4 hours. But as it turn out it did not . So next day i went to the center again and asked for the problem . The people present there (especially female )were very rude and passed on rude comments and were talking like they were doing pity on me by answering my questions. I have never seen such kind of behaviour from any customer care ever. She even said that i would not understand how it works here. That was the height of being bad mouth.They even refused to give me the Bill for it by saying, they do not issue bill for that. But i insisted that there was financial transacation, so i should be given bill for that then they gave me the bill .My sim card is sill not activated. The airtel center name is Mohan Infotel System at kalibari , Kathua.The Mobile number for which i was issued duplicate sim is [protected], which still shows invalid as it has not been migrated on the duplicate sim and the other sim is with them . You can contact me on [protected]. i hope some action is taken against them in this regards and also plz do look into the matter as to why my number has not been ported on duplicate sim . i am really disappointed with airtel for having such people at customer care .

I am seeing some offers over internet sites under the tagline airtel FAB FRIDAYS. Some of your executives at 121 and 198 are totally unaware of that. Few days back I came across a offer comprising of 6 Value added services in 99 rupees for 90 days. The number for activation was *646*22# as shown in the airtel add. As i dialled the number for activation I got two messages in short time difference. First one was saying that I have activated comedy FM 99 pack. and the later one was saying I have activated FAB FRIDAY value added services pack which I actually intended to. This activation was done on 14th july 2012. The services was said to be activated within 24 hours from that. But till the date no service is activated yet. Please dont muggup all the money. If you cant activate the services then refund my money to me. And stop me from porting out of Airtel. I am attaching the various links from where I got the information regarding VAS pack. I have a prepaid mobile connection of Airtel. I use it for 3G net with micromax modem and sometimes for dial. I recharged it with Rs 100/- on 01 Jun 2012 for talk time and Rs 450/- for 3G Net. I got talk time for Rs 87.50. I was dialed only for 10 to 15 minutes since its recharge. A balance of Approx Rs 80/- was left. I checked my balance talk time on 15 Jun 2012. I was surprised to see that my balance talk time was shown Rs 0.05. I tried to talk with customer care on 15 Jun 2012 but no one given a satisfied answer. On trying after one after, Consumer care told me that your amount has been deducted and the same will be credited in your account within next 48 hours. On completion of 48 hours, when I saw that no amount has been returned to me, I again talked to customer care on 17 Jun 2012. They replied me that your amount has been deducted by using your net and therefore no amount will be returned to you.
I request you to please approach Airtel Mobile to return my deducted amount at the earliest and warn him for not to deduct any amount in future. My Contact No is [protected].

SIM card showing Invalid SIM

Suddenly in July 2012, I got a message on my mobile showing INVALID SIM. I contacted the nearest Airtel office and came to know that the SIM has been released in the market due to not USAGE. For your information, I was using this connection day in and day out. I have made calls everyday, there's no way there can be zero usage for this number. plz sir activate my sim. this sim is very important for me, this no i was mention in my cv .

I am really harassed by the deactivation of my SIM card. I request you to activate my SIM card as early as possible.

After calling customer care several times , they end up saying that i am using internet service on my phone ,, but actually i have stopped this service on my phone temporarily. My name is Rahul Threja and I had Airtel Postpaid no from last 3 yrs. and due to some critical circumstances I could not pay the bill and after few months I started receiving calls from SURAJ from AIRTEL for the payment of outstanding balance.I agreed to pay that however that guy called me 67 times a day to harras me for the payment.

hi, every one past 3yrs i am useing airtel prepaid recently airtel launched 97 easy recharge option(ie;1/2paise/second) but my mobile i can't recharge Rs.97 ofter that i called many times to airtel custmer care but could not slove my issue, ofter 3day i vent to airtel outlet they given "nodal officer no" i nodol officer also taken 3days time but could not slove my simple-issue. the nodol officer's are every time asking time and given false commitment Airtel tel saying we are the no.1 service provider in india but i was telling no.1 worst service provider

I moved to Hong Kong last year, and for the last 4 months, only used my prepaid Airtel SIM[protected] to receive critical transaction sms messages from my banks. A couple of weeks ago I got a message that it has been made invalid, without any prior warning of any kind. When I came to India and called up the Airtel help centre, I was told the SIM is now invalid and will be reassigned. I have been a customer of Airtel for more than a decade, and I expected at least a warning sms before the SIM is disconnected. I'm not getting my banking transaction alerts now, and I'm worried about problems on that front. Please help by making my SIM valid again.

Earlier I submitted my complaint regarding issuing my mobile number to others. After submitting my complaint here also till now now action from them.Today I received a call from Airtel. They are arguing that they issued my number to other person 2 months ago and they can't give me back any cost. kindly Give me the advice what step to take to get my number back with credit balance. Like me many persons are suffering from this service provider.

My pre paid number [protected] issued to others. In that sufficient credit balance was there and also validity. Since 3 Months I am sending mail to [protected]@in.Airtel.com <[protected]@in.Airtel.com>; no reply. when I called to customer care their talking style is not gently also they are telling they will call back within 5 minutes but no reply. Really I am sorry to say that very poor service from them.

I gave my number to banks, in the court for my legal procedure also to others. Now I am very handy because of this.

I submitted documents to reactivate my Airtel SIM in Marathahalli Showroom on 9th July 2012. I was told that the SIM would be activated in couple of days. After waiting till Wednesday evening and when i reached out to 121 (Airtel Customer Care), i was told that the same would be enabled in 24 hours. This delay was due to some backend operations. Till now (16th July 2012) the sim is still not activated and everytime i reachout to the customer care i get a different response and a promise of fix the issue in less than 12 hours. Almost everyday call customer care and today is th 8th day no response from Airtel and the customer support agent doesnt have an answer and they feel it should be escalated to their supervisor now. Airtel is just trying to delay the process of enabling this SIM for no reason.

Everytime when i reachout to the customer care they would ask the customer relationship form no (518643) and the SIM card no. I am sure this should be tracked in their internal system and my details shouldnt be asked everytime by their customer care executive.

without any reason i lost my balance of 128.90 rs.several times i tried to connect customer care.but it was not get connected.once i got connection.bt the executive who attended my call was unable to speak english.i value my 128 rs.so kindly do the neccassary action to refund the amount.

I would like to bring my issue which happened with airtel digital tv. I have requested for disconnection for my airtel digital TV having consumer id [protected] on[protected] through mail. Though agent has collected the equipment from my flat, has not completed refund process till now. And as per online connection seems to be active only. What i got to know is they have sold this connection to some one else (Srinivas Raj) without my permission. And hence they are not processing the refund as it is active. I would like to bring it to your notice so that this can be resolved asap.
Mobile connected to my consumer is also changed. agents and other people involved in this are making use of this and commiting a fraud. I would like to alert airtel people to take action and resolve this.
