I use Airtel since 4-5 years now. My phone number is [protected]

Previously, i did not have any problem with Airtel but now, they have been deducting amount from my account for something i have not used at all.
They have been deducting my Rs.10 weekly for TIPS BY YUVRAJ SINGH service and Rs.30 weekly for Video Mode Activation. I have complained earlier to your Customer Care and deactivated whatever was activated on my number. But still, I am facing the same issue. Whenever I call them, they say i have gone to their site (Airtel Live) and downloaded some stuff from there that is why the amount is getting deducted. But i never go to Airtel Live for net surfing. 19-Mar-2011 again they deducted Rs.10 for “TIPSBYYUVRAJSINGH” I am not able to understand what should I do regarding this issue.

I have already complained about this issue 3-4 times, but of no use.
They tell me to go to Airtel Live on my mobile My account in that and unsubscribe, But I do not see “My account” option at all in my Airtel Live menu.

Can you please resolve this issue .
I was facing the same problem from Airtel. They frequently deduct small amounts first and then send a SMS informing that we have to send a SMS to them to unsubscribe in order not to receive this offer.When u send a SMS, the messsage does not get forwarded, it may be blocked. So the gist of the story is simple. Airtel are corporate thieves and have no moral ethics. They deduct charges of their own accord. They have to take the consumers approval before any games or other offers are downloaded on their consumers mobile. The onus is upon them and not on the consumer to request to stop the offers. It is they who first deduct charges without taking the consumers approval. I hope the Telecom Ministry looks into the fraudalent activities of these mobile operators and enforces a strict legislation. Anyway Airtel seems to be the biggest fraudster in such activities.I had an Airtel no.[protected] from Pune. After repeated unauthorised deductions and subsequent complaints and seeing no results, I have just removed the sim card from my mobile and have started using another Mobile Operator's sim. I had to take a new mobile number, so what ! atleast I am not fleeced by them. It's a question of moral ethics and not the money. If somebody fleeces you of your money without justification, however small it maybe, it is our job to teach them a lesson. So the best advise I can give you all is findout about other mobile service providers and change your sim and dont worry about getting a new mob no. Inform your close friends and associates about your new mob no. Are you too lazy to do that or wait for Airtel to deduct charges in advance. You know many people are too busy or don't bother to respond to these deductions, and imagine India with a population of billions, how much money this generates to the mobile operators; if the govt does not bring a proper legislation in place this will continue till eternity.. I say dump the crooked mobile operators and change your sim and no. after all it takes less than RS.30 to get a new sim. :-) :-0 Don't follow the system change the system...

    I am a customer of Airtel from last 4 years i activated my GPRS
    services on 15th of September 2011 & after 2-3 days i received my
    message o[censored]nbilled amount i.e. very high as per my uses immediately i
    logged a complaint on the very same day on toll free no as well as on
    mail & i got responded that this approximate unbilled which not
    included the discounts of GPRS & other so when the final bill will
    come then only we can give you the brief details on 27th of September
    i recd. my bill on mail & found that an amount of Rs. Rs.2921.60 has
    been charged for GPRS uses & only Rs. 1936.58/- has been discounted
    from this amount & rest amount i.e. 985.02 & taxes asked to pay from
    my pocked, when i called there toll free no on the same day the person
    told me that you activate your GPRS service on 16th & u use GPRS on
    15th that is bill of dated 15th which has been charged from you, but i
    told him that i activated my service on 15th & one of your person make
    setting on my phone manually on the same day & how its possible that
    without activating my gprs pack & setting how can i use the services,
    i write down mails 4- 5 times to them but no one is giving the
    satisfactory reply they are just replying that this is the correct
    bill no one is telling me the reason, all the communication with
    airtel customer services are in trail mail in blue color, yesterday i had words with
    the applet manager Ms. Manpreet but she also said that this is the
    right bill charged by the co.

    you are pls requested to help me to provide the solution

    Again the same reply which i received in the last mail not even a
    single word change, As per your mail my GPRS has been activated on
    16th & my billing cycle is 26th & rental are accumulated on pro-rata
    basis, as per your plan i can use 2gb data in the plan for a month &
    in 10 days i can use approx 6,86,800 KB on pro rata basis & as per
    bill i used only 2,91,923 KB so on pro-rata basis also i m not using
    the GPRS more than my plan, so
    you are again requested to make apropriate reversal in the bill. also
    i given the request to activate my gprs connection on 15th of
    September & reced the seating on the same day but when not able to do
    seating automatic i call to customer care on the same day & then they
    manually save my seating on my phone & also confirm that GPRS pack is
    now activated on your phone
    Hope this time i got the solution not the same reply which i got the last one.

      Set Top box hanging problem

      Dear Sir
      I have bought the Airtel HD box on 16-12-10. My Customer ID is [protected]. With in one month i have noted one problem that my STB got hanged up with in 10 minutes after switching ON the box. At that time nothing happened that was buttons in STB and remote were not working and there is no audio and video on screen. I already raised two complaints regarding this issue. But your service persons just came and RESET the STB....

      Dear Concern,

      I am feeling very irritated and annoyed with Airtel service.
      I have tried deactivating cricket alerts number of times & got response from ur side stating the same cannot be done, unless DND is activated.
      After sending messages for activation of DND, still i received messages stating i have not registered for DND, hence unable to deactivate.
      I'm loosing 5 rupee's per day ,this is happening since past two weeks. This a monetary loss for me, kindly deactivate the cricket alerts immediately. If not ,there won't be any hesitation from my side for change in network.
      My mobile no is [protected]
      I hope the same shall be rectified within 1 day.

      i understand and sympathise with your predicament.it's no use registering for the dnd because my dnd was already activated when they started the cricket alerts . it started with an sms thanking me for downloading java game from airtel (for which i was charged Rs.99) followed 1 minute later by another informing me that i had chosen cricket club 1 and charged Rs.3, both of which i had never done.since then i have also been charged daily.this is daylight robbery and i am contemplating legal action.i

        I manindra bhandari doing Computer and computer parts business in chennai. My complient is against AIRTEL land line[protected]

        And complent is :

        I requested to activate my market centex in my landline, but airtel wrongly activated centex of Bullion market, bze of this mistake I am getting more then 100calls daily from bullion market and asking gold and silver and rest commodity market rates, I am very much disturb by this behaviour of airtel, and loosed my several Orders, I made several complients to 121 and 198 Tollfree number and passed several mails from past 4 MONTHS to 121 mail I'd , Nodel office mail I'd and appleate mail I'd also but no action was taken.
        Each n every time they give me a new complient number and says your problem get solve within 24 to 72 hrs even in return mail they says same thing but they didn't solved this issue and they keep sending payement advice monthly and I paying regularly, MY QUESTION is where I go and tel this issue, Pls HELP. Or can I surrender this number, I Am really feel this is a Mentally torcher to me by airtel.

        I gave written Complient also, I have all complient number and mails Which I sended and got back from them.

        Please HELP ME

        I am really thankful to. You if you solve my problem and save me.

          I had submitted my cell phone no. to www.airtel.in/digitaltv after that I got a call from Mr.Jitendra Singh who claimed to be an employee of bharti - airtel.He told me to pay through internet by connecting me to a web link or through cash payment ,in order to buy airtel digital TV.I opted for cash payment and he send a person from M/s Vriti infocom Pvt ltd to collect Rs 1290.I paid that person Rs 1200 on 13th october 2011 and he gave me a cash receipt (receipt no.24542).But still then I do not get either any payment confirmation from bharti-airtel or the digital TV.pls. Suggest what should I do now.

          I had lodged 2 complaints with reg to the yrly subscription paid in Oct.2011. I am still getting sms msgs saying that I should recharge
          Comp.No.0T[protected] and also called on line where call centre told me that my reqst forwarded to the concerned dept. but no call recd till date
          It is almost 6 days nobody attends, I am compelled to forward the matter to the consumer forum for your enefficiency and fraudellent information
          when I recharged I was told Rs.2960/- yrly subcription for economy package snf I had availed 4 months safe custody. wud u pl clarify the
          matter

            I had purchansed air tel Dongle and SIM on 11/09/2009 from representative of Airtel Mr Shibam Mob No [protected] & [protected].The gentleman took Rs 1850 for dongle and promised to give Bill the next day.I had opted for bill of the sim by email.After lot of hassle and many calls to air tell customer care, i could get by SIM configured and use it about 2 days later.Since then, i am regularly requesting the Gentleman to give me the Bill for Dongle but he says that he has met with an accident and he will send somebody the next day will the bill but nothing has materialised so far.

            I have also not recieved any confirmation on my email regarding monthly bill of the sim usage.
            I have also contacted air tel helpline number 121 and spoken to represenative but to no avail.I am now fed up with the extremely poor response.

            The IMEI No of Dongle is [protected] and 3G SIM No is [protected].

              I live in Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh. I subscribed to Airtel Digital TV connection on-line on 4-Oct.When I subscribe I spoke with one of the customer care person named “Mohit Tanvar”. He promised me to provide the service with in 24/48 hours but till today no response from them. On the same day my bank account was credited with Rs.2,100. On 12-Oct one of the local distributor installed Airtel dish but connection setup. When I called them they didn’t get the vocher from airtel central office and my balance is showing as Rs.0. How come it’s Rs.0. Why did they install, if my balance is 0.

              I sent 50 e-mails and more than100 calls from 4-Oct to 13-Oct but nobody is responding me so far. When I called each time, new person is answering the call and listing my issues and no response from them. This is repeating the on every call like a recorded message. Every time they apologized for the incovenience, but never resolved the issue
              Actually I hate Airtel because previously I am Airttel prepaid customer. Due to the poor network, I moved to idea.
              Kindly note this complaint cum fraud against AIRTEL Digital TV. They are completely cheating the public without giving better service.

              I Request you to unsubscribe the subscription as soon as possible and refund me with the balance deducted so far from my account. That account transaction is as follows and the AirTEL

                I have been receiving the message Ad-54321 about some subscription video parlou on my no. [protected] and at every instance I am being charged with Rs 5/-. Tried reaching customer care executives, they are not able to resolve the problem. Request you to unsubscribe the subscription as soon as possible and refund me with the balance deducted so far.

                  Hello Sir,

                  We have bought HD-DVR last week. However the recording is not working. The error it gives is, 'INVALID XTV SUBSCRIPTION'. I called the customer care 7 times. Every time they apologised for the incovenience, but never resolved the issue. On 6th time, they gave me the complaint number. However the engineer closed the complaint as 'Resoved' saying, it is a backend issue. I should call the call center.

                  My questions are:
                  1. When will we get recording activated ?
                  2. Whom should we call for complaining Your customer care 12150 is one hell. Should be thrown to bin.
                  3. Why the engineer closed the call without resolving our problem ? Is it our job to call again and again only to be ping-ponged between different departments of Airtel ?

                    I'm an existing prepaid customer of airtel, bearing no. [protected], from past 5 years. One of the customer care persons from the Begumpet office(circle off. splendid towers, S.P. road, Begumpet road, Hyderabad) approached me and forced me to take a postpaid connection. After a long discussion, i agreed for it. He came to my office for address verification and all other requirements. He said that the verification is done and handed over me the postpaid sim. He said that once my prepaid sim gets disconnected, install the postpaid sim and it will work from then.

                    After my prepaid sim has got disconnected, I installed my postpaid sim; but it is not working since then. It's been one day but still the sim is not working. I'm a marketing person who relays on phone every time, and if this is the kind of service you people are providing, it's really disgusting. When i personally visited the customer care service, the response was very bad. There was no one to atleast pay attention to the complaint. Such bad is the customer care service of Airtel, which was not expected from our end. If this issue of my change in connection, cannot be solve, i want my prepaid connection atleast to be reverted as soon as possible.


                    Note:
                    I Personally visited airtel office at Begumpet near lifestyle, i had to wait for an hour and then have been asked to speak to a person by name Raju who was impatient and very irresponsible
                    Kindly let me know i[censored]r team atleast feels responsible for such behaviour of your employees towards your customers.
                    Then i visited Begumpet Main branch waited for an to park the car and then got a token which made me wait for an hour , now i had no more patience and directly called on 126 and the response was atleast better which said i would be rectified in a couple of hours and gave me your id.

                    Hope you understand the reason behind me writing a detailed letter, and will be impressed if you can acknowledge me the letter and the action you would take as i had to waste my whole day in just activating a sim!!!!!

I called customer care 198 to know about my data usage and data card plans,they simply refused to give me any information and insisted to call Maharastra customer care.they gave me a number that does not work. And what traiffs plans they show on there website and what I got from there customer executive was completely different. I feel sick of airtel.

                            This is Y.Pravallika an airtel customer who is suffering from your services. No one gives the right information and guidance, neither the customer care nor the airtel office. I received a message for registering my number on 23rd of September, but I couldn’t submit them as I was out of station. MY SIM GOT UNREGISTERED ON 26TH SEPTEMBER AND I WAS ASKED TO SUBMIT MY DOCUMENTS AGAIN AT THE NEAREST OFFICE SO I DID SUBMIT ALL THE VALID DOCUMENTS ON 1ST OCTOBER. I WAS TOLD BY THE EXECUTIVES THAT MY SIM WILL BE ACTIVATED WITHIN 4 DAYS. I WAITED FOR 4 DAYS BUT THERE WAS NO USE.THEN I ENQUIRED ABOUT THE DELAY AND I GOT THE REPLY THAT IT WILL TAKE TWO MORE DAYS AS THE TECHNICIANS WONT WORK ON SATURDAYS! SO I WAITED TILL 6TH OCTOBER AND WENT TO OFFICE TO FIND OUT ON 7TH AS STILL MY NUMBER WAS NOT ACTIVATED. THEN THE EXECUTIVE INFORMED ME THAT THERE WAS SOME MISTAKE SO THEY LODGED A COMPLAIN AGAINST MY NUMBER AND I WILL BE GETTING BACK MY NUMBER WITHIN 24 HOURS. I BELIEVED THEM AGAIN AND WAITED FOR TWO DAYS THAT IS 8TH AND 9TH OF OCTOBER. BUT AGAIN, NO USE! EVEN TODAY THAT IS 10TH OCTOBER AGAIN I WENT TO THE AIRTEL OFFICE AND QUESTIONED ABOUT MY NUMBER, STILL THEY HAVE NO ANSWER AND STILL MY SIM IS UNREGISTERED. Even till today ie, 13th October 2011 I didn’t get back my number but completely lost it. I have no idea whats the problem, but I need my number back! I have lodges a complaint in consumer forum and this is my complaint number 326003. Sir I want you to take some serious action.

                            Past 3 months I am using this sim card..But yesterday onwards this service was barred.In this regard I have asked to customer care. They told me you are not submitted the proper document that’s why we stopped the service.

                            But already I have submitted the all the documents to dealer.(My valid pass port Xerox and pass port size photos )

                            One week before also this service was barred. Then I conducted with customer care after one hour again I got the service.

                            That day my document verification also over.

                            Then why again they stopped this service.

                            Because of this issue I could not get the information from concern side.

                              How would you feel when the shopkeeper charges you when you make no purchase? Surely, you wouldn’t like it.
                              Something of that kind happened to me when Airtel landed on my mobile phone [No.[protected]] a message [on Oct 10]. It was about a certain service they had on offer. They took my subscription to the service for granted ...saying ‘thank you for subscribing’ to it. That alerted me.
                              ‘You’ve been charged Rs.10 for 7 days..,’ the company told me. It meant that my prepaid account had already been debited. Similar debits would perhaps follow, from time to time.
                              I was outraged for the simple reason I had not asked for the service in the first place. To pay for something you have not bought should be clearly unacceptable to any consumer.
                              Quite cleverly, Airtel has left the onus on the consumer to call up 552230 if he wishes to stop the unwanted service. As I discovered, however, it was a trap. There was no STOP option on offer…so how would I stop the service? No way. I am saddled with an unwanted service.
                              I should think it’s an unfair business practice that doesn’t behove the country’s leading mobile service provider, to say the least.
                              There’s more to it all. If you ring up Airtel’s 552230, sweet voices greet you in Hindi, Punjabi, Bengali, Marathi, Tamil and an array of other Indian languages. They introduce you to a religious programme…live Aarti from Shri Tirupati Balaji and other well known shrines in the country. You can pick your choice and subscribe to bhajans, etc. All for a payment, of course.
                              Business in the name of God!
                              Failing to unsubscribe, I have taken up the problem in these columns [see 'Debit against Unasked Service']. I’ve asked Airtel to reverse the charges. My complaint hasn’t elicited a response. I’ve also sent a reply-message back to Airtel. No success, either.

                                I've received one sms fron Airtel Service that as per TRAI, I can only send 3000 sms per bill cycle and since I've crossed this limit, i would not be allowed to send any sms further.
                                To my best of knowledge, the bill cycle starts on 2nd of every month. If this is so then counting of sms from 2nd to 12th Oct is wrong. I think the earlier bill cycle of month Sept has not been discontinued.
                                No one is there to solve or discuss this problem.

Previously i am a honest customer and regularly i paid my post paid bills you chek up my payments records also for your reference.                                   My Airtel Prepaid mobile no is [protected]. Airtel Co. has deducted unauthorised amount of Rs 106/- from my balance.from 25/09/11to 09/10/11. When I complained to superviser,customare Airtel,he said the the amount was deducted for excess data usage for internet beyond the 2GB alloted for 1 month of pack 98/-W.e.f .09/09/11 to 08/10/11.while I used only less than 1GB usage from my monthly pack.Also an another subscription service was activated without my permission & any message from my side. This is a common practice of Airtel to forcefull blame to the consumers, because it is my 3rd complain of such type.The amount Rs 106/- should be returned in my balance & hard action should be taken against the fraud Airtel co. & punished for such type o[censored]nauthorised activities.

                                  I am using Airtel Number - [protected].I am frequently debited for VAS, whereas I am never able to use these services.
                                  After sending GPRSACT to 511, I get Acknowledgement - "Your Request has been Registered Successfully, You will recieve a confirmation SMS within 4 Hrs". But I never get any Confirmation message.

                                  To my surprise on the next day money is debited without any usage.Next time even when I try to call 121 for enquiry, I cannot reach customerCare. I get no reply when I call 121 from Mumbai.Also after sending GPRSDEACT to 511, I get Acknowledgement .But I never get any Confirmation message.

                                  Recently I have changed my Mobile model.Hence I approached Airtel service Centre, behind Suhkwani Campus, Near Kala Sagar Hotel, Pimpri-411018, to get more information and to get NOP and GPRS settings for NEW handset Model.But found no fruitful information.Attend took down my number stating, she would call back to provide details as network was down, when i visited; but never called back.

                                  2. On special offer 350 min talk time for Rs 130.00 recharge, only 300 min was given with validity of 27 may 11 wherever 16 min was reduced with in 300 min only prior expiry date.
                                  3. Rs 30.00 was deducted from balance after complained made consumer on line airtelwebsite vide comp no. 7138 and 7244 both dated 18 May 11, the reason till now I am not aware

                                  5. This is despite I never ask for any calle rtune or any kind of extra facilities on any mobile.

                                    I bought an Airtel digital TV connection from the airtel website on 9th Oct 2011. Same day I got a call from Airtel office and they generated my customer id ([protected]) and took all the details confirming that installation will happen within 72 hours.

                                    Since that day I have been making repeated calls to customer care and my local airtel dth office but the installation is not happening. Everyday the service person tells me that he will be coming at 4 PM but nobody comes. Since I have to be at home at the time of installation I am taking off from office to be at home at 4 PM but nobody comes.

                                    This is ridiculous. First of all they take the money and then they make a fool o[censored]s. I would like any help to get my amount refunded as I dont want this airtel anymore.

                                      About 3 months back in july 2011,i bought AIRTEL'S YOUTH PACK SIM according to which i can make airtel to airtel local cals at 1p/3 sec & at night at 1p/6 sec. this plan was valid for 1 year i.e. till july2012 but all of a sudden, the company is now charging me 1.2p/sec to local airtel network.

                                      i lodge my complaint in their customer care also but the customer care executive (MAHESH) told me that company has changed the tariff plan & refused to switch me to my original tariff plan.
                                      i asked him how can the company change my tariff pan which was valid for an year that too without even informing me but he had no answer.

                                      i request you to look into this matter within a day or i will lodge a complaint in the consumer court as soon as possible. i have done this before also with some other site and won the case so i request you that you should not take this complaint lightly.

                                      This is Srinivas from Kukatpally, hyd, AP, I got the call from [protected] for A-A free and other 30 p/min plan and activated tariff as airtel to airtel free and other mobile is 30 p/min in Sep'11, and after 20 days automatically offer has been changed to 1rs/min. I have three connections those are [protected], [protected], [protected], I have given compliant to Airtel CC so many times, but no one answered to me clearly, however I lost my money rs 3000 for the above plan, if your not give proper answered i will go to consumer court and put a case against airtel also...

                                      This is Prakash from Kundapura, udupi dist, Karnataka, I got the call from Bangalore for A-A 10 paise/min other 50 p/min and SMS free 100/d plan and activated tariff as airtel to airtel 30P/min and other mobile is 60 p/min and sms Re 1/sms in march 3, 2012, I have given compliant to Airtel CC so many times, but no one answered to me clearly, and now no connecting Airtel Customer Care form my No.[protected] however I lost my money for the above plan, We request kindly do the needful at your earliest
