    Airtel Sim — CUSTOMER CARE

    I have to the customer care for new offers in which the STD calls can be 1 rupee.He told me to do a recharge of 450, in which you can use 34 rupees voucher to make the std 1 rupee per minute.But after getting recharged i was not able to use the STD package (34 rupees).
    when i asked them they told that we are sorry, such type of facility is not available on your mobile.Such type of worst advice ihave got from your customer care.can you help me in this problem.Is there any way so that i can use the STD package in my mobile.

    Airtel — Can't contact 121

    I have been trying to contact 121 and[protected] for lodging a complaint about by broadband modem.After a long wait and hearing a lot of offers and bill info I go through the whole gamut and reach the BB complaint.The recorde voice tell me to press 9 so that I can talk to a Customer care Executive. At this point the phone always hangs up. I have made as many as 15 20 calls since last three days from mobile.Landline and other mobile
    Anyone with any ideas short of giving a Dharna
    my sms not sent but sms are come to my friends and outgoing call are also activated

      Airtel Prepaid — discontinue of service

      I am a Airtel prepaid customer having [protected]. i bought this connection from one of there retailer.I am facing a lot of problem from the very first day.They barred service on next day having reason that you have not submited required documents but i have submited the same at the time of purchase of sim to the retailer.still i dopisted the required documents at there customer relationship office sector 35-c Chandigarh they told me that your services will be resumed in 3 days but they failed in there commitment & I visitd over there so many times there response is very dispointing told me that it's better to havenew connection, some how they start my number after 10 days but from that day till now i aaam not able to send text massege from my number I complainted for the same so many times on customer care but they are failed to solve this also.after that i am shocked when today they stop my services without assigning any reason when i checked my balance it shows you are not a vallid prepaid customer.using airtel is a worst experience in my life beware of them

      My Airtel Prepaid No.is [protected]. As i purchased card in the name of my wife Shirinbanu Shahidhusain Harsolia just 1 year back.As my wife is using this card twice in a week for outgoing call & most of time she keeps mobile on switch off mode. As three months back i went to Russia during the trip it was working properly after the trip we didnt use this card & we went for another trip to Suadi Arabia. After the Saudi trip when we switch on the mobile there is no network found & we enquired about in our Himatnagar Airtel office they replied negative & told us that u didnt use ur mobile for last six months so that we have faild ur registration & discontinued ur card. As i also using hutch & vodaphoned service in our family since 2001 but till date we didnt get any problem. Hence i request you that please look in to this matter with ur personal interest & activate my card as soon as possible on priority basis.

      Prepaid Airtel connection — discontinuation of number.

      I had got a prepaid Airtel mobile phone connectioninlast week of Nov 09. I had to wait 1 week to get it activated, and it has got discontinued since yesterday(30/12/09) inspite of completing all the formalities on the day of purchase of the sim( phone no. [protected] from Paras Telecom Saharanpur. I have not got any satisfactory answer for it. Please look in to the matter. Thanking You, Upsham

      AirTel — Discontinuation of prepaid services

      My prepaid mobile number , [protected], was disconnected without any inforamation.
      I have been lodging complants in customer care but they have stopped replying to my emails.
      Its been more than a month now.

      Airtel Prepaid — Discontinuance of prepaid connection by Airtel

      Prepaid connection discontinued without prior warning on call or sms. No mention about any disconnection policy was made while I bought the number 8 years ago in the year 2003. The connection was converted to life time validity with most recent update showing "valid till 2013". When followed up with various level of complaint procedure, all of then plainly said nothing could be done to re-instate the old number as it has been discontinued. Isn't this redicullous??

        I had recharged my a/c ([protected]) on dated 24.05.2010 at around 1.30 pm with a recharge of Rs. 98 for internet access. After that on date 22.06.2010, I had my DA account balance of about 1200 MB. As per rule, my a/c validity must be up tp 23.06.2010 till 1.30 PM. But from the date of 23.06.2010 my DA a/c made zero and the surfing charges deductions started from my main a/c and deducted Rs. 435 for the day.

        on complaining so many times to customer care, they had not replied satisfactorily and also refusing to provide the DA a/c uses details for the entire period of 30 days.

        In short, I only want to know that what MB were in balance in my DA a/c on 22.06.2010?

        but next day my balance is RS 0.

        then i again recharged with Rs 30, and again next day my balance is 0.

          Cheating with softwatre gimmics by Airtel
          I have taken an Airtel connection on behalf of our company vide connection No [protected]. Once the call is over, it never get disconnected. When I have contacted Airtel, after blaming my handset and my compliant in writing, they have given me new sim card. After few days the same problem is recurring and we are getting high bills as airtel manage their software to charge higheir bills to the consumers by cheating with their softwatre gimmics. I understand this problem is natural with Airtel specially with their 64K sims.

          Airtel......! Please rectify and solve the problem permanantly or else face consumer case. I am giving you one week time to you.

            Dear Sir / Ma'am,

            I had been alotted mobile number [protected] in the month of October 2005 as a Post Paid Connection. I was then residing at Ashwath Nagar in the Sanjay Nagar area of Bangalore. The SIM was provided by Airtel after completing all the formalities like providing the following.
            1. One passport photograph
            2. Address proof
            3. ID proof
            4. Payment fee towards purchase of the SIM.

            Verification was carried out by a representative of Airtel, the mobile service provided. After a brief period the SIM was activated and I started using their services.

            In the Month of February 2007, I decided to change my plan from Post Paid service to a PrePaid service, for which I visited the Airtel office on Sanjay Nagar Main road and informed them of my intent. They provided me with a form for a Pre Paid connection, with the same documentation requirment and to pay all outstanding dues, which I duly complied with. This I did since I wanted to retain the same number that was given to me when I first applied for a Post Paid connection. After a period of three days, my prepaid connection with the same number was activated. From then to the present I am using the Pre Paid connection, without any problem.

            However from the 28th June 2010, I am receiving the following SMS from the Airtel " As per the Government Regulation, the documents pertaining to your Airtel Mobile Number are found to be incorrect. Please submit Passport size photo, address and photo ID proof with duly filled Prepaid application form at your nearest Airtel Showroom to enjoy continued service."

            After 3years they now tell me that details provided by are incorrect. What has happend to all that I have submitted?
            Somebody has been careless and think that by sending SMS of the one mentioned one can be brow beaten.
            This I view as very serious and the who episode is rather fraudlent.

            I totally agree with your comments. I have submitted all the document after receive SMS from Airtel stating "As per the Government Regulation, the documents pertaining to your Airtel Mobile Number are found to be incorrect. Please submit Passport size photo, address and photo ID proof with duly filled Prepaid application form at your nearest Airtel Showroom to enjoy continued service.".

            3 days after submitting document again I got same SMS from Airtel, I called up Customer care to inquire about the same. Customer care executive suggested me to submit document again and one more thing they told is, when ever we receive the above sms we need to submit document again & again. If we receive this SMS 100 times then 100 times we need to submit document.

            We are paying for their mistake. Is there anyone to solve our problem?

              My DTH connection(Airtel) disconnected on Sunday (21.06.10) without any reason. I asked the customer care Exicutive on that day itself and she says i have to recharge the same. I informed that i have purchased and activated the 1 year subscription plan on 30.08.2009, so that 2 more months balance in my validity. She says it is not possible to reactivate if not recharged. I contacted the nodal desk at Delhi and in Kerala to solve the issue. Their reply is "regretted for the inconvenience, will correct today itself". Every day their Executives promising that will clear today, but till now no technician came from Airtel DTH and solve the issue.I lost two weeks programs even I prepaid the amount for that. Also their approach towards the issue was so silly and painful to me.

              yes you are completely correct, Airtel DTH customer care experience is troublesome and nobody turn up for retifeying issue after 2to 3 weeks also.

              It seems Airtel is not serious in this buisness.
              Bad customer service
              my advice dont go for airtel they are not serious in broadband and DTH, they have irretated me for 3 months

                  My Airtel DTH is not working from past 3 days.
                  I gave complaint and called to customer care at least 10 times, but have no use in doing so.

                  Every time I call customer care, They will give fake promises stating "the issue will get resolved in next 2 hrs".

                  I said them clearly that I am going to log a complaint, But still they are not bothered to rectify the issue.

                    I have an Airtel prepaid SIM for my mobile. I changed my address and submitted the appropriate forms 3 weeks ago. At the time I was unable to get to an Airtel office due to illness when receiving notice to verify address in the given time to do so. Once I was out of bed, I went to the Airtle branch in McLeod Ganj to correct the situation. In the meantime a bar on all outgoing calls was put on my account.

                    Since my forms were submitted, 3 weeks ago, the bar has still not been removed and am unable to make calls. I have 520 rupees credit on my account which I would like.

                    After many emails and very little response or even help from Airtel staff, and many promises of the matter being rectified,I am still unable to make calls.

                    I need help to have this matter sorted, either have the bar removed or a refund be given to me. I have since changed companies and have a new SIM card.

                    I would greatly appreciate someone from your organisation contacting me on either my mobile [protected] or

                    As I have a corporate background in the west I find the incompetence and attitude of the Airtel very difficult to accept and does not leave a good impression of how Indian companies operate. Customer care is something that in my corporation we value greatly, as we also do efficiency and competence. My experience with this company has left me doubtful as to whether we want to engage in business with any Indian companies. If such a small matter cannot be dealt with competently, I don't hold great hope for the progress of this country.

                            Hi my name is Om Shiv Tripathi and my mobile number is [protected] - I had travelled new York in June from 13/06/2010 to 19/06/2010 and had made very limited calls to India but accessed all my official mails and other internet for which I have received sms when I was back in India that “your unbilled usage as on 29/06/2010 is RS .1,05,162.
                            I was zapped with this SMS received in India and called helped line but no clear answer and told me to wait till 6th July for the final bill. I am really surprised why airtell never stopped my mobile connection when I had crossed the limit or why sms was not sent in USA that my bill amount is crossing the limit?
                            This is really cheating with customer by not keeping them informed about any special situations .Need a help to sort-out my problem urgently!!

                              I have activated GPRS 2GB plan. For the same setting received from Airtel. Later it was found that Settings also included Airtel Live settings which i[censored]sed will be chargeable @ 30 paise for 20 KB.
                              I have not asked for Airtel Live and asked only for GPRS settings. Beeing non technical i was not aware which settings are being used to access internet. Actually Airtel Live was used. I have paid for GPRS plan on monthly basis. I have been told that at one time there can be single plan remain active. Now in bill they have charged on the basis of AIRTEL LIVE. Irrespective of method used, i should be charged only if my access is more than 2GB. Now helpdesk at airtel is saying that you have to pay for both. Pls advice

I got a call yesterday (29.06.2010) from airtel's sales office (no.[protected] with regard to the DTH- HD service request I had enquired by filling out my details as instructed on their website (airtel.in). As per the call instructions i completed the transaction of Rs. 2350/- for ugradation of my existing dth to dth-HD set top box. The transaction was made through my SBI Credit Card and I was given the transaction no. as 9540501. Although the procedure was duly completed by me and was informed that the same shall be delivered to me within 1-2 days. The complaint is that I have not received any confirmation on my transaction and/or the status of my request. When I tried to contact the above mentioned phone no. it does not connect. It seems to me that i am duped of money as well as credit card details. I have even written to airtel customer care regarding this.

                                Even am facing same issue.

                                I made payment yesterday over IVR and today I called up customer care toll free number to check the status, was shocked to know that the transaction details are not reflected.

                                I had concerns about my credit card safety but now am feeling a bit better to know that the number from which I received call[protected] seems to genuine.

                                This sort of a behavior/miss is not expected from Aitel, looking forward for the speedy resolution.

                                  Dear Sir,

                                  Today Morning I found that my Mobile was displaying a MESSAGE that “SIM NOT VALID”. I called up the Customer Care Service and they informed me that my line was Temporarily Discontinued on account of Non Payment of Dues on my Data Card Connection.

                                  I have been using the Data Card for more than a Year and the Services Promised to me at the time of taking the Connection were never matched by the services actually received. The Services Received was much below the level of Services Promised. Every time I would go to the Airtel Relation Centre and enquire about “When the Services would improve” and I would get one reply that “VERY SHORTLY”. But this never happened. Even than I continued with the Services on the hope that this will happen shortly.

                                  The major setback came in the Month of March 2010, when the Services came down to intolerable levels. The Connection would disconnect without any reason and reconnect on its own. There would be no connectivity for hours for no reason.

                                  I decided to discontinue the Data Card Services and also stopped making the payments. Because the Services Offered by you on Data Card was never matching (IT WAS BELOW THE PROMISES MADE BY YOUR RELATIONSHIP CENTRE) even after more than a year o[censored]sage. The call from your Relation Ship Centre for Payment Outstanding was attended by me and he was also updated on my stand. The Person on line even assured me that they will very soon improve and I should continue with the connection.

                                  I have been paying a Premium charge for Services being used by me. I decided to stop this and as a result I decided to discontinue.



                                  Regarding my AIRTEL CONNECTION [protected], I never had any problem with the services. You can also track my Payment History on this account. You were also satisfied with my performance and usage

                                  And you have been kind enough to gradually increase my CREDIT LIMIT to Rs.14700.00 from Rs.8200.00. This reiterates my stand that the services offered by you on Data Card are not of Airtel Standards.

                                  MY GRIEVANCE:
                                  Today Morning, when I picked up my phone, I was surprised to find that MY PHONE IS DISPLAYING A MESSAGE “SIM NOT VALID”.
                                  I called up AIRTEL CUSTOMER SERVICE and they informed me due to nonpayment of my Data Card Dues, my services have been temporarily discontinued.

                                  My Request:
                                  You are requested to look into the matter in the light of the above submission and restore my line. I would further request you to highlight on the Services of the data card services and give a solution to the problem.

                                  In case you still do not restore my line [protected], I would request you to kindly accept my Request for Surrender of my CONNECTION [protected] and my Data Card with effect from the date and time of refusal to restart my connection.

                                  Airtel — Disconnection of my phone temporarily

                                  I requested to cancel all the special services to my mobile [No-[protected]] on[protected] in an Airtel office in Kodambakkam [Chennai] But there was no positive results in my phone in January, February and in this month. During this period I called respective people and also e-mailed them many times and I got the reply saying that within a few days we will process. I am fedup of this EXCELLENT sevice of the AIRTEL. First I was decided to change my connection from postpaid to prepaid and the second one not decided.[that you know]
                                  I finished all my formalities on[protected] and the AIRTEL promissed me that by next day morning my number the same number will be activated, advised to call me 123 but the message coming from the other end was totally irritating, many times it repeated, they told that my line is temporarily disconnected. Because of my calling by using my LANDLINE PHONE they registerd now [ 3-2-2009, 4. 20 pm] They are inconveniencing the people.

                                    My father has a airtel prepaid connection ([protected]) which has a validity for an year for every recharge top-up recharge he does. Since he was out of town for about 3 months, airtel suddenly deactivated his service. When reached the customer care, no one was really helpful regarding this issue. At the same time customer support executives (reference no: [protected]) whom I spoke to was not helpful, nor she knew different prepaid plans available or provided by the service provider. She would not listen, but keeps talking over over again and would not listen. This is even before I could explain. Kindly, please advice what to do to have that number reactivated. Thank you.

                                    I will be much great full to you if you kindly furnish the incoming, outgoing and missed call history of my Air-Tel prepaid connection No.[protected] from 01.10.2009 to 15.11.2009.
                                    My mobile no.is [protected]. I had purchased two airtel-prepaid vouchar @ 10 /- avery.
                                    but I dont get full value of this card. I got only Rs.6.07 each .as per vallue mantioned

Maine 19 march 2010 ko retailer se Rs.98 ka recharge karwaya lekin Rs.50 ka talk time nahi mila. Iske baad[protected] ko co. Ka msg mila ki apka 98 ka GPRS pack renewed kar diya gaya hai & Rs.98 balance se bina mujhe inform kiye deduct kar diye gaye. 121 par baat karne par bataya gaya ki apne *567*11# dial kiya hai. Please credit full talk value of Rs. 349 in my airtel mobile.

                                      I logged a complaint ( regarding slow speed of internet during night time perticularly on 18th -06-2010 i was told the by the CCE on the floor that the problem will get resolved within next 48 hrs . Engineer named Lokender visited my place the next day did something and the speed of broadband connection was 512 kbps for just half an hour and than back again to regular 256 kbps during the day as well as during the night.

                                      Lokender told me to give him a call incase the problem persists & i called him directly and was assured that the problem will get resolved with a day.

                                      On 23rd - 06- 2010 the problem of slow net connection was still there i logged in another complaint this time again was assured that it will get resolved within next day . Lokender visited my place again and then asked me to waite for a day more and the problem will get resolved i waited till 28th - 06- 2010. and untill then the problem was not resolved .

                                      I loggged in another complaint on 27th-06-2010 for the slow net connection of 256 kbps instead of 1mbps during night time. the customer care representative told me that it will get resolved within next day before 6 pm. two new engineers visited my place and told me that the server is not picking up you plan and nwo they have identified it and the problem will get resolved until next morning.

                                      As required by lokender i sent the print screen of the airtel speed test to him twice & was assured by lokender that the problem of slow net connection will be resolved within next day i waited again & it never did got resolved.

                                      I waited again till 27th[protected]:30 pm & received a call today from the engineer to check weather the problem is been still there or not but until now the problem hasn't been resolved . i gave a call just know to the airtel customer care spoke to a representative asked for a senior floor manager and was not satisfied with him also because of the same answer . I asked for his senior and they disconnected my call after a few minutes of keeping it on hold

                                      Its been 11 DAYS and my problem of slow speed connection from 1MPBS to 256 kbps is not been resolved till now.

                                      I asked to speak with supervisor and was on hold for good long 15 minutes finally MR.Devendra floor manager picked up the phone and responded sorry sir the last call got disconnected and i asked him to get me a senior guy who can help me out. still my call was placed on hold for another 10 min and no response so disconnected this call at 12: 10 am 30th-06-2010

                                      Airtel Broadband services are the worst in india more pathetic then MTNL broadband who have there complaint resolution time maximum 6 days airtel has set a benchmark now by not resolving the problem of the customer for 11 Days , Numerous call + 4 complaints excellent guys!

                                      I feel pitty on myself now that i disconnected my MTNL broadband for airtel .

                                      For the last 12 days we are working without internet and you know without internet any
                                      business can survive
                                      pl do something airtel efficiency is going slow down for the last 6 months

                                        I got a call from Airtel representative from[protected] on 28th of June 2010. He introduced himself as Adnan. He told me about Corporate plan wherein i could get benefits in call tariff, at a cost of Rs.500 (one time charge). They sent their representative to my office in Vashi, wherein i was asked to fill a form and deposit identity proof along with the amount. They gave me a copy of the form filled with the bill number. As for confirmation, i got a call from [protected] asking about what all was submitted, and was assured that my scheme would be activated in 8 hours time.
                                        On 29th of June 2010, at around 10:30am, i got a call from the first number saying the documents have reached us and that the scheme would be activated by evening. I tried contacting them around 6pm, but my call was cancelled and soon the first number was switched off. There is no response from the second number.
                                        What could be done to take strict acions against such fraud people? Should i launch a complaint at the nearest Police Station?
