I was on roaming for 1.5months...... Airtel kept on calling for customer survey calls, I have already applied for DND and escalated the complaint at various times & customer cares.... but airtel refuses to take in the complaint....

I am their customer for last 5yrs......... hopeless.............

    without my choosing, I am Wrongfuly being charged for cricket match scores SMS sent by ' AX-543212'
    The message you are active on cricket match day pack starting from date.. and charged at Rs5/ Match day. To unsubscribe call[protected].-- But this number[protected] is fake number, it is not receiving calls or SMS to unsubscribe to the unwanted text services.

      What is the reason that why this message comes again and again when I try to online register as New user?
      Why your site does not allow new customer ID to register on your web site???

      I am madhvaraj in my artel every day diduct a amount of 10 rs wich am not using at all i have been given a complaint more then ten timis they have not resiproketed my complaint every col they ask to give some time but result is zero.

      AIRTEL DIGITAL TV — Pathetic customer service by Airtel's Agent

      I had submitted my contact details on the Airtel Website for purchasing their DTH service 'Digital TV'. By next day had received a call in response to the details submitted. The calling personal confirned that he was calling from Airtel and explained me all about the product. I was assured by this representative that the connection will be installed within 1 day of making the payment.

      To my horror, after making online payment (step by step procedure communicated by the sales repersentative) I realised that he was calling on behalf of a dealer (Connect India/Vriti). I realised my mistake of not verifying his credentials before making the payment. I had made the stupidest mistake of my life, totally dumb of me.

      Anyways, have been following up constantly with them and they just don't respond back. Have also put in my cancellation request, but still no response. Am not sure if I will get a refund ever or not, but everyone else should take care and not make a stupid mistake like me.

      Airtel DTH Service — Online Registration

      Hi, I have been trying to include my DTH service under " My accounts" on your website since last week. Everytime I attempt , the error pops up regreting the inconvenience caused. Why is it difficult for a simple service to be included. This is highly objectionable and should be addressed immediately.

      I have logged the complaint of signal loss twice starting october end. though i got the complaint number twice, the problem still persists and no one has come to check the reason so far.

      this is very bad way of treating a customer. At the time of taking connection, they are very happy to collect entire money for one year.
      my suggestion never to take an airtel digital connection. The services are so poor.

      how can one increase the rebooting time after a power failure, my set top box takes half an hour or more to reboot. i think it is a really irritating problem in a place where power failures are very frequent. hope u understand and resolve my issues soon.

      My name is Prabhu and i have got an airtel HD DTH connection last week.
      But since the day when the technical person installed the setup box, the DTH connection never worked till date.
      i am now thinking why did i purchased this airtel DTH connection, i could have chosen an another service provided.
      I have called up customer care 7 times, most of the time the cc executive disconnected the call in the middle of the call, sometime refreshed the channels providing a improper solution, sometime asking me to go the dealer and ask for a solution.till date nothing had happened.
      i really donot know why i have paid money for getting troubles like this.

      I am Airtel DTH customer from last one year. In last one year, I never faced problem in my Airtel DTH. However from last few days i am not finding picture on my TV as sharp as it used to be before few days. I had called customer care yesterday but they said that for sending a technical engineer at home i need to pay him Rs. 100.

      Kindly make me understand if i am paying montly rental then why i should i pay Rs. 100 as a service charge??

      Why a esteemed company like Airtel wants to make money by applying such cheap tactise of collecting money for technical service?? Why would a customer like that a engineer should visit at their home without any reason??

      Today morning i had got a call from a engineer (his number is [protected]) who called me up and when i denied to pay Rs. 100 disconnected my call abruptly. Is it really a way to behave with a customer?

      Airtel’s pathetic service
      We have called Airtel DTH people several times several complaint no one turned up and also no update or call from their side. My DTH is under warranty period, local distributer ask Rs 350/= for re setting
      Airtel’s pathetic service. Executives are rude, they don’t have enough information handy with them and keep us on hold for a long time, which is irritating.
      Several time we call them they give us fake promises of resolving the issue. Yesterday morning we called and they said by evening it will be alright, but nothing happened. Yesterday night we called and they promised for today morning, again same story. They are keep on pushing the problem rather than resolving it.
      My humble request to you take action and resolve the problem.

      Hi Team,

      Your service is one of the most crappies and pathetic service I have come across. I have logged a complain for my Airtel DTH on 2nd April 2011, the day there was final match of World cup. All of sudden the DTH stopped working and this is not the first time this has happened. I have logged many complains from that day and till now I have no resolution for it. Everytime I make call to Customer care they tell me that it will be resolved by tomorrow. If I ask them to handover the phone to their supervisor then all they do is to disconnect the call. I think its complete hopeless case.

      Would request if there is provision to return the Airtel DTH device and get some money back. If that is possibel then please do update me about it. I will my service provider changed as soon as possible.

      I, p.s. sundaravaradan bought airtel dth with recorder as its packages are cheaper to me (I am already having TATA SKY and having very good quality pictures)and installation done on 6-3-2011. id. no.[protected], from day one I have problem viewing channels because of overlapping of clolours at regular intervels. I made many number of calls to customer call and their mechnic visited twice and replaced HDMI cable. but of no use. they could not find what the fault .Now I want the set top box be replaced as early as possible as i am unable to view any channels at a stretch as it is very glaring and overlapping. I am very much disappointed with the sercvice airtel dth providing and they are not having technicians who could locate the problems as they are all at sea when problem arises. I wish i will not recommend anyone going in for Airtel DTH for worst service

      This is Rajeshwar & my A/c # is[protected]. I am using this Airtel DTH service since nearly 2 years. Recently one Airtel technician came to my home and asked me whether I am interested to use this service as they are introducing 50 more channels. I have agreed for that request & then they have changed the Dish antenna to other angle. Once they left from my location the channels are not clear & blank screens got started on my television. I am facing this issue since 20 days. Later I have recharged with 650 rs(unfortunately). Once i have recharged, the channels are completely vanished. Mostly I am facing this issue at eve timings. I have tried to reach Customer care thru Mobile/email, but no proper response. Most of the time the cc executive disconnected the call in the middle of the call, Finally I have spoken to the cust care executive today, he was saying that I need to pay more 100rs(to pay to technician) to resolve this problem. Is there any justice in this?

      Please help me on this aspects.

      I requested for new Airtel digital connection and got connection in a day also debited amount from my A/C. I have got the customer id [protected]. When engineer came then he said that can not put DTH because of some satelite issues. I immediate request for disconnection but did not get my amount credited since last one month. When do I call Airtel customer care then first thing able to get connected with the Agent in half an hour and then they say it will be credited very soon. Somehow, I find the Airtel DTH commitment level and service level is very bad and the right word would be pathetic.

      I am not sure when will I get my amount back.

      Airtel is providing [censored] service, it is really such a as******le Service provider.
      I doubt, any senior personality of Airtel is investigating all the problem or issues of a customer.

      Why i am writing all these harsh sentence because i m getting such [censored] service from airtel.

      I am facing issue with a relocation request raised. I have waited for the engineer taking leave yesterday (9th May 2011) as he was scheduled for afternoon 2:30. After enormous calls at around 8:00 Am today (10th May 2011) I atleaset got to escallate to a seniour person. After this also, I didnt get any proper response (none actually) from them till now. Just now got a call from some one asking is my issue is resolved? They only dont have a proper internal communication. That person is not even dure what my issue was. He is asking whether signal is not coming wen I raised a request for installation. I dont know how they can send customrs from pillar to post. if it was some other country, would they have dared to do thid to any customer?

      I have paid a sum of Rs. 1590/- through SBI online banking to Airtel Digital TV for cable connection vide order No. 3510730 on 31st May 2011. Even after 15 days neither they installed Digital TV nor my money refunded back till date. I have sent 8 emails to Airtel authorities but no reply received. They are also not responding to my phone calls. Please help me to get my money back against the cheating of the company. More over company denied me TV entertainment for last 15 days for which they may also be directed to pay compensation. My mobile connection is from Airtel. Even then they ignored me.

      Now I am afraid of approaching any other dish TV providers as if they also cheat me like this, I will incur heavy financial loss.

      I Have airtel DTH Connection bearing consumer number [protected] with Registered Mobile number [protected]. On dated my set top box gone faulty. It was frequently OFF. I lodged my complaint with call center no [protected] vide complaint number12263887 dated 27-09-11 and complaint number 12340879 dated 30-09-11. On dated I recieved my settop box, but the set Top Box delivered to me is faulty. It is frequently on /off while watching TV. My complaint is already 05-day old and I have paid Rs. 100.00 to Engineer for Repair purpose. On dated 01-10-11 when contacted to call center I was again given complaint number 12368663. Every time after complaint I have been given a mobile number for contact purpose [protected] which is always swithced off. This is the height of harrassment to the subscriber. As I am harrassed by not providing the services and payment have been made and further my Validity is also deducting. It is hereby submitted that I may be compensated for the complained period.

      Airtel — Never takes customer complaints seriously

      I had recharged my airtel prepaid card [protected] with a Rs 95 sms pack and despite of that Airtel was deducting amount from the main talk time account. I called the customer service number but every time they would just say that the complain is registered and it will be rectified soon, however it is not been rectified to date. This is the second time i ma facing this error please look into it asap.

      AIRTEL DIGITAL TV — Very very poor Service

      I had given a request to update my Normal Digital TV's STB ([protected]) to "HD STB". Request was raised on 04/11/2011 morning. Customer care said Engineer will come on same day evening and replace it.

      But without any resolution the complaint got closed. Again I called to Customer care they gave 4 dues till 07/11/2011. But nothing happened. Then on 07/11/2011 one representative said " Complaint got closed and I have to raise a new one"( till now no one told me this).

      So I raised a request once again and I received a complaint number with Local service center mobile number(Tripur-[protected]). When I called them, they They asked me to come to his office and collect the new DTH by submitting the Old one( For this why should you have a Customer care?). I got frustrated by this.

      I hate the service provided by Airtel Digital TV. I am planning to change my service provider if it is not resolved within one more day.

      I have taken new Airtel DTH Connection on 21-04-12, through sales excutive Mr Rohit and that time manager also talk to manager at that time, and after discussion i have paid amount and then confirm me that i will get connection with in 24hr but today after 5 days also no responses, i call many time to airtel customer care on talk to Mr Rohit, Mr Rao, Mr Avinash , Mr Jagdish , ms Priya, Ms Pratibha, they do not give proper responses, and they are disconnecting my call, so I am fedup calling.

      Airtel must see, what they are doing. They are spoiling their image which will lead them to loose their business as well. I am also one of the person who is suffering from the harassment of Airtel DTH services.

      I recharged my DTH last week, since that day my DTH has never worked. Whenever I called Customer Care to lodge compliant, Customer Care says that their System is down or it is upgrading, they never answer you properly, they keep call on hold for several minutes. The day from where, I am facing problem, no single Engineer has visited my place.

        last about 03 years, with continue bill payments, on 15/04/2010, i have changed my number from postpaid to prepaid through customer care service, during the conversation customer care executive never let me know that i have to submit my documents to change the connection, he said it will be done through only by the verbally talk but now from 14/05/2010, my number has been blocked by the company with out any intimation, during the period of about 01 month, i am using the same number easily and also doing
        recharge timely, but now on talk with customer service, they couldn't tell me
        the proper reason that why my number has been blocked, I have also visited to mini store of Airtel at Abohar, but they also could not give any satisfactory reply and also they have refused to received my documents, then I have talked with Mr. Gangesh (Nodal Officer, Mohali) [MDN :[protected]] on dated 20/05/2010, he suggested me to submit my documents to Mini Store of Bathinda, then I have visited mini store of Bathinda [Mr. Vishal[protected] & Mr. Jaswinder singh[protected]] with my documents, they have accepted my documents and he made me also assure to activate the number, but till date my number has been blocked, and till date they are asking that this number will be activated in next 03 months, i am very surprised with the service of company, that is there no liability of company to intimate the subscriber before the disconnection, as this number is very known to my official relations, now i will be lost lots of my official relations due to careless service by the service, moreover during this all I have also suffered with financial crisis as I have to leave my work due to that reason, this is very unbearable loss which the company can't understand, please let me know why i could suffer this injustice, you are requested to please look into the matter and do the needful.

        I was using airtel Friends plan was happy with it then I requested retailer to recharge for call rate reduction (i.e. 40paisa local 60 paisa STD ) but by mistake he recharged for Per second billing, because of this my friends plan got changed but it happened without any prior intimation.
        Latter on I called customer care for resolving this issue but they told me that I can't restored my friends plan. Then I went to Airtel service center but all was waste.
        This really pathetic service & customer care from airtel.

          Hello sir / madam,

          I am Mohammed Imran residing in Medavakkam, chennai.

          When i opt for service of broadband from Airtel ( Saying T.nagar, chennai). Person called Rahman and his manager ( saying Muthu karuppan ) had been touch with us. We had opted for 6 months starting package of cost Rs.4500. ( package type is if you pay 4500, u can use connection for 6 months then the monthly payment starts. No problem in package because it is normal one avail by Airtel to every one.)

          They had investigated like where upto Airtel broadband connection line actually avail near to our home. After all comfort they felt, they had collected Rs.4500/- from me on[protected]. After that no action happened. when we continously asked, after 1 week they came back with "we need to dig road to make the line come other side of road. it costs more. So company says we cannot provide connection to you."

          I had no way to go that time. I accepted and asked for money refund, they deposited Rs 3000/- on 6-Apr-2010. Remaining Rs.1500/- had stood remained. Again continous asking of money, they came back suddenly like "Our company had said that we should not discourage the customers, so we can go on giving line for them. using that we can get further more connections too." So they had asked us still you like to opt for connection, we are ready to do it. Otherwise will refund remaining money.

          I had said if you can able to provide connection within one week (end date 7-may-2010 ) i will opt it, otherwise please return my money. They had accepted but nothing had improved from that situation. When ever I call, they are just saying that i am outside, we need to check the status in system. This and that. I had tried tried and atlast tired lot.

          See, I had asked service. they checked their feasibility and said will provide. I paid 4500. They said not possible. I asked refund. They send 3000 only. When I asked remaining, they again said company says it is possible. when i had said if within this date, u can provide. but nothing happened. Remaining money yet not returned.

          I am really want to condemn the way how they behaves.

          1. Why they are not responsible enough to close the issues after got paid money.
          2. They should have been updated us in proper way, still every time we are pinging them.
          3. they should have done for their given word. Two times they had failed from their promise of service.
          4. they are not proper enough to finish of the transaction of remaining amount. yet this transaction starts on[protected] and still prolonging to 9th week.


          I was hurt lot and affected by heart.
          My mental peace got disturbed.
          I need compensation for this from Airtel.
          So that no other consumer will got suffered like this losing their money simply struct without any thing.

          Please understand the situation and make the necessary aid to this suffered consumer.

            I required a Airtel DTH connection for that i made a request to Airtel in their site (online - www.airtel.in). Then i received a call from Airtel and they advised me to pay Rs.999/-. Behalf of Airtel one executive from GSTU & Associates , Panambilly Nagar, Cochin (Executive Name: Fayas, Ph No. [protected], Office Ph No: 3019966) came to my office and collect the money Rs. 999/- on 23/04/2010 and the receipt no 03665. Till now ( more than 1month from payment date) i have not got the connection after so many followup they not given proper answer. So i am very much upset on this and i don't want the connection also. I requested for the payment back but they have refused to payment back. So i required your support for get back the money.

              I m customer of Airtel Punjab for 3 years. I have observed some great plans from airtel to rob customers so cleverly that u never think of. See some examples :
              1. In punjab, airtel has more costlier tariffs than any other company. (local call on its own network - 30 paisa/min and other companies charge 25 paisa/min on their own network)
              2. Sms pack is valid for 30 days from activation. If there are 4 festival days occured in this period, you will enjoy free sms only for 26 days. (Very clever)
              3. They send you hundreds o[censored]seless sms daily to promote u to waste ur money, but they never send u any sms regarding talk time offers, following paid sms days, or in ending days of any validity.
              5. You can watch this attitude in their advertisements also. They talk only about music on demand, hello tunes, network, express urself etc. They have nothing to tell about their customer friendly offers like free mins, extra talk time.
              6. They have offers for new customers only, they have nothing for old ones. Once a person trapped in their false promises, they suck.
              So i request the person who are planning to get a new airtel connection, think again and again. They are the biggest robbers in india. They know that u cant afford to change number every 3 months. So they blackmail u.
              Thank God there will b number portability from oct 2008. Then there guys will b learnt a hard lesson.

              I am using Airtel Mobile Number [protected] from the last 7-8 months and I have received every month bill which displayed special SMS charges by the Company. Most respectfully Sir, I have never sent any Special SMS last 7-8 months but every monthly billing I seen extra charges put in my Bill by the Airtel. Every month I have deducted amount to my Bill.               My Request is this the AIRTEL COMPANY is not rectifying the complaint instead of that they are making me fool.so you kindly take action against the Airtel Punjab for non atteading of complaint as i am facing this problem from the last Monday 23 Jan 2012 to till date.pls solve the problem.

                Some time back, Airtel had come upon to us exhibiting some promotional plans of Airtel.Under this plan one person called me. We had been told to pay a sum of Rs.1200/- for two post paid sim cards which has a sceame of intercalling free plus one more airtel number free for the same service. That person told us that company will refund this whole amount within 45 days. But till today that sceame is not activated, and such person is not receiving our calls. Also airtel customer service is not responding to us.

                The sceame was like this -
                1)Any local call Rs.00.30 per minute.
                2)Sms Rs. 00.30
                3)Land line Rs. 00.50 per minute.
                4)Std Rs.00.50 per minute.
                5)100 min. and 100 sms free per month for both sim cards.

                Accordingly we had opted for 2 such numbers paid Rs.1200/ -(Rupees One Thousand Two Hundred.) in turn had received an original receipt for the same.
                But all these promises provded futile.The excutives who were following up for the same initially, has gone untraceable post collection of the money from us.The names of the concerned are as follows

                After which we had written numerous complaints to Airtel's customer care as well to its Nodal officer, but this too had proved to be futile

                Airtel — Fraud done by a person on a promotional job of Airtel.

                      1. [protected] he himself says service engineer (Rakesh) who call the customer in the Sunday morning (23/05/2010) and confirmed that he is coming and ask for wait. Customer waiting whole day at his office without any sense only for the installation of the airtel product. At the evening around 3.30pm customer enquire with the person who call in the morning whether he has lost his way or not but found he was so busy for what…….. (voice of girl hearing in the background)……… that he told us. He again tell lie that he inform that he would not come but to whom…….. Unsolved mystery!

In the morning around 9.00am, 24/05/2010 for inquire again for the service with the complain no. 2770558 the person who pick the phone make the customer sure that their representative will available in the first half. At around 2.30pm customer calls again but engineer has left and he is at their but could not see him (Mr. India) by the customer so require to put application at Gumsuda talash Kendra Nei Kotwali Daryaganj, New Delhi 110001. We can clap for their best practice to get the first prize in the competition of Indian mockery show.

                        I am not happy the way the Airtel Customer care people communicated with me.
                        I had called the customer care number [protected] twice, first i requested for the email Airtell broad band bill and airtel login activation.
                        First guy told he will send me the details to my email id within minutes and still not yet received, and also for the airtel login pasword details he told me will send in 15mins,still not receieved.
                        When i called second time the other guy did not even speak with me properly and cut the call..
                        What is this??? is this the way to behave with the customers????? cut the call and not speak with the customers....Very rude...i just hate this...

                        This is Gaurav D, holding a Broadband connection from Airtel #[protected] .I am not able to browse internet and for the same I have logged a compliant on 13th of May ( Ref#[protected] in afternoon but till now call is unattained even I have not received any call from Airtel. I have called up so many times to customer and they have one single line answer “ Sorry Sir, will escalate the same “ but I don’t know where they have escalate, as still after 5 day’s problem is not resolved .Most difficult part is whenever I call to customer, I have to explain issue with different people and all are have one line answer “ Sorry Sir, will escalate the same “.

                        First time I call up on 13th may, they said will resolve the issue within 4 hours and we waited till 14th May (More than 30 hours ) evening but there was no response from anyone, then again called up on 14th may 2011 and they said tomorrow morning will someone attend your call but nobody turn up ……then again I called up and I have asked them can you please connect to your manager .. for that I was on hold for more than 25 minutes and result was, we will raise this issue sir and tomorrow morning by 11 AM someone will attended the same ….

                        Now I have no word to say as Airtel is brand name and support you can see.. one more thing I am living in heart of the Bangalore .. so I think there is no problem for communication also

                        Would somebody from Airtel, please save me from this mental suffering because of the unethical practice and an highly unprofessional approach of your people?????

When I talked with one of the Airtel Customer Representative about it, first he asked me what are the contents of the message and I said its not readable, I mean its something like HA5AAA T6AISSS....and go on, give no meaning; then after checking from his side he said from our side (AIRTEL) there is no problem, it looks some other company is sending you, try to solve by talking to the company. Now, apart from 55555 there is no sender's id or 10 digit number. Hence, even I am unable to solve it. This has become a nuisance. I kindly request you to help me to come out of this problem and hence guide me. Thank you for the same.

                            I purchased a Airtel Datacard ([protected]) on[protected]. At that time I was moving out from Sahara Estates, Mansoorabad to Bandlaguda Jagir. Since I had the address proof of Mansoorabad, I provided the same and requested the Airtel employee to get the address verified before I move out from there. He suggested that change of address could be provided subsequently. However, address could not be verified intime and Datacard was not activated. But, I started getting reminders for payment of bills even though connection was not activated. I made several complaints to customer care on phone and also sent emails to Airtel but no one responded. I then sent a written complaint to their head quarters at Splendid towers Secunderabad on[protected] token No.265), but they refused to receive the complaint stating that the number has expired and that we have to pay Rs. 353/ towards bill. It is unfortunate that company even refuses to receive and acknowledge the written complaints.

                              Manoj Shah (Sales Advisor- Virti- Intrerctive, Noida Office) made totaly false commitment to me. As per his statement that Airtel DTH had to be installed at my home on 23.05.10 (around 9:00 - 10:00 am) infact I got a sms towards this installation. But now the time is 10:42 pm , but my Airtel DTH had not installed yet.
                              I made 40-40 times call to Manoj Shah (Virti- Sales Advisor) but he didn't pick my phone call even a single time. He is ( Manoj Shah- Virti Interactive ) make fool to their customer. Before purchasing the product he made 10-15 call to me in a day. And as I made an online payment to Virti, he never respond to me.
                              Infact I made two complaint to Airtel DTH custome care on 23.05.10 vide Service request no. : 2783698 at 9:35 am& second is 2784768 at 1:15 pm. But I didn't any positive response from their side.
                              Now I had decided that I do not require this deal/ purchase, which is made thru Virti- Interctive. com that is fraud orgination and they are making fool to their customer. I would like to refund my money, which I have paid without any delay.Otherwise I would file a case to consumer care court as well as Airtel DTH.

                                I have been writing to Airtel for a remedy for a transfer of line and running to various people and talking to various for no solution for the past ONE MONTH.

                                In between Airtel has chosen to slash a un logical and wrong bill on me with reminders there on to pay. While the request for termination of line was given on 17 th April Bill for the period till 25 th April was sent.

                                The Problem statement : I have requested for the transfer of telephone on 17 th April and after a various follow up found that they will not transfer as the capacity has exceeded the limit in the area to where the line was to be shifted. Then I, asked them to take back the line / surrender the line & while that was under process and in the mean while Airtel has send me a bill for whole month - failing to explain me as why I should I pay for this bill. To my surprise one sales executive visited me & said that he can offer me a fresh line and a new line was connected with a fresh number 42612382. I am not sure how on earth without giving priority to the old customers for a transfer a new line can be given. Is it that Airtel is interested in selling these lines at 1500 INR as I paid to the executive. Normally it use to be NIL advance payment and they are encashing us because we have started using their services. Ironically both the lines are in my name. Please let me know why I should not go and seek remedy under the shelter and umbrella of Consumer protection cell.

                                  Dear concerned,

                                  I bought a Airtel Data Card no.[protected] in Jan 2010 and a Data Card 599 Plan was activated on it. I am staying in Kalkaji and was not able to use it due to poor connectivity and excruciatingly slow speed.

                                  On 20th March I contacted Airtel Customer Care to deactivate the data card and the airtel executive informed that concern has been noted and will do the needful. For next 15 day I got frequent calls from Airtel people enquiring the cause to deactivate my data card and everytime I reiterated to deactive the datacard without further delay as I did not want to pay any more bills without using the datacard.

                                  My billing cycle was 23rd of a month -22nd of next month. I received bill for the period 23rd feb. – 22nd March and paid that bill.

                                  I have already paid three bills without using the card even three times. Un-numbered calls and complaints made to 121 and Airtel datacard service but of no use.

                                  Inspite of my repeated requests to deactivate the data card I have received bill amounting to Rs. 468 for the period 23rd March – 22nd April. and still getting communication from Airtel to pay the requisite amount.

                                  Please update your records and stop sending any more communications.

                                  even in my case, same thing is happening. Today i got 3rd ebill after the deactivation of the number. I don't know whether airtel is serviving on cheating or genuine service.
                                  They keep on replying that your concern has been resoved but they are simply playing with us.
                                  Can you suggest me how to proceed in this case. Because this time i don't want to pay. waiting for the suggestion...

                                    I received a phone call from some unknown person disclosing his identity as a Airtel representative asking me to contact one Mr Raj Verma, Cheif Supervisor, Mumbai on Phone no. [protected].

                                    On contacting Mr Raj Verma on above mentioned Phone no. I was informed that Airtel Digital TV has come up with some Scheme and I have won cash prize of Rs.10,00,000/- (Ten Lacs) on using my Airtel mobile no. [protected] through a lucky draw. To claim the prize I was told that I will have to buy Dish TV Recharge coupons worth Rs.15,600/-, however, thinking that since this a promotional scheme by Airtel Digital, I purchased recharge coupons worth Rs.15,600/- of Airtel Digital TV. Pl note that I am not a Airtel Digital TV subscriber. As advised by Mr Raj Verma I scratched all the Recharge cards and informed him the recharge PIN numbers.

                                    I was further told by Mr Raj Verma that representative from Airtel Gurgaon would visit us today i.e. on 22nd May,2010 at 12.30 pm with a State Bank Of India Cheque no. 7409000/88 towards the prize money. However, I was again contacted by Mr Raj Verma at 8.30 am this morning asking me to purchase additional recharge coupons of DISH TV for Rs.35,300/-. This amount, as explained by him was towards 50% of Income Tax payable against the prize money. The balance 50% will be borne by Airtel.

                                    I got suspicious and noticed that the phone no. of Mr Raj Verma is not of Mumbai as it is starting with international code (+92) and called him again to inform that I would get this amount (Rs.35,300/-) deducted from either the prize money or the cash which was to be finally reimbursed to me by Airtel representative equal to the amount of recharge coupons which I have purchased. On mentioning this Mr Raj Verma sounded agitated and asked me to buy coupons of any value and asked me to inform the coupon nos. to him before he deputes his Gurgaon Representatives. I decided not to buy any more coupons and to report the matter to Airtel for needful investigation & action.

                                    Since, I have purchased Digital TV recharge coupons worth Rs.15,550/- and have already scratched them (as explained above) I request you to kindly advise me a way to recover the cost of these recharge coupons, you are also requested to Block these cards to prevent misuse.                                     Hi! I am Ranjan karmakar from Coochbehar. The airtel Digital Tv Website and its customer care is fraud! because they said to me that "you can buy Airtel digital TV at rupees 999" Because you have a airtel prepaid Mobile. Then they said to me that "enter your bank credit card info to IVR and get digital TV installed to your home in Next 48 hours. I have made that transection on 23/03/2010. But till today i did not get anything without a transection id. my transection id is 7889943 and my mobile no is [protected] and I have Called the customer care at least 50-55 times. But they said we will refund your transection because you are not a post paid customer of our mobile service. But where is my money???
                                    My airtel digitel TV ID is [protected].
                                    I had start ESPN Plus service on 2 May, 2010. But after my last recharge this sercive has been stopped why? As I had already paid for same for one month. Pl. start this service up to 2 June, 2010 + these days this service is not comming on my TV, without any extra charge.

                                      Dear Sir/Madam,
                                      I am a Govt. Employee and got transfered to amritsar. I had purchased a new Airtel prepaid mobile connection no: [protected]. Since i had just come to the city, i had given local address of amritsar (without proof) and had submitted copy of driving licence as my permanent address proof (delhi). After abt 10 days on 10th may 2010, when my family member tried to make an outgoing call, the call automatically got trnsferred to airtel call center who enquired abt address verification. My wife quoted the local address details as provided by me while purchasing the connection. not knowing the fact that the agent had entered only my permanent address. Hence, the address was not verified.
                                      As i came back home, i lodged a complaint on 198 and enquired them immediately how the verification could be completed and my incoming call facility reactivated. I was informed that there could be temporary problem with the conection and was asked to wait for 48 hours. I got the complaint no. also. Even after that i kept enquiring abt status but after two days my ougoing facilty was also disconnected and when i complained to airtel office at cristal chowk, amritsar, i was told my no. has been permanently deleted and account balance of moe than Rs300 would be forfeited. After that they asked me purchase new connection and promised to transfer the balance to new no. in case previous could not be reactivated. But, nothing has happend till now.
                                      My complaint is that when i myself that given correct address details, and had lodged a request for completion of verification, why my no. has been deactivated. The call center people say they are sorry for the mistake of their person who failed to guide me correctly on my complaint. Moreever, as regards adrress verification, i hope you wld appreciate the fact that for all govt employees and passport holders, address and creditials are aleady verified by Police and CID of the country and mobile companies sell postpaid connection w/o address veficiation to govt employees.
                                      Though the matter would have been not too big, but the harrasment to an outstation person and the irresponsible attitude of airtel people ahs made me frustated and am now really thinking of going futher and complain to ombudsperson and even consumer court for harrassmnet.

                                      Kindly help resolve the issue or provide me the no. of ombudsperson/or higher competent authority.

                                      Airtel — Disconnection of connection even after Address verification completed

                                      Hi,

                                      This is Vadivel Kumar working in Cognizant technologies solutions and my contact number is [protected] of airtel. It was a prepaid connection. I am using this connection for the past 6 years. Once I entered Cognizant i came to know that there is Corporate SIM services by AIRTEL, hence i had requested to change it to postpaid from prepaid on 24th July.
                                      People from your side came to my address location for verification and the same has been completed on 6th JULY 6.30PM. But i don’t know what suddenly happened all my outgoing and incoming calls are barred by today(10 August 2010) morning. I tried customer care many times but no response, customer care person told me that they cant activate this number to me anymore and i have to get a new number. I don’t what is the reason behind this. Also they informed me that for verification status it is mentioned as "door lock".

                                      Tell me if any procedures need to completed from myside to activate this number so that i can use it. Please do it ASAP. Please take this on high priority. As said i am using this number for past 6 years and it is very important for me.

                                      Dear Sir/Madam,

                                      At the outset I wish to express my strong dissatisfaction for the services provided by Airtel and the conduct of your Executives. Though there was a battery of other dependable network available in the Market, yet I opted for it only on a firm believe that whatsoever promises/claims are made to the customer are fulfilled in practical also. But I was wrong. And after going through the turmoil I was subjected to I am of firm belief that your executives are specially trained only to cheat the customer. Initially a lot of attractive options are offered to get a costumer in to their trap only to repent later. I feel that the customer Care Executives lacks in basic tenet of Common Sense, and to follow laid down guidelines of addressing their problem genuinely.
                                      I was convinced to opt for Airtel Data Card (Sim No. [protected]) for Plan 999/- (unlimited downloading) because your executives advised me that in view of non-availability of broadband service in my locality i.e. Sadiq Nagar, New Delhi, the Data Card will only be successful. It was also told that the product remain under direct supervision of qualified professionals in my locality. But the data card started troubling very soon and found not working on my computers. Whenever I tried to contact your executives at Call Centers, I was replied that my problem was well noted and be solved very soon but of no avail. My repeated complaints yielded only your repeated fake assurances. As a result I was subjected to loss not only at monetary front but at physical level also as I lost my peace of mind. As and when I tried to contact Appellate Officer Shri Imran Khan (No. [protected]) he never came on line and rather asked his assistants to attend me. Ultimately I was again given same assurances as usual. The fact is that my problem was never addressed i.e. data card did never function with my computers. On the other hand I am being sent bills after regular intervals. Is it not an unfair means and fraudulent practices? Why I am asked to pay for the service which has never rendered to me? Before getting a data card, your Executives at Airtel Shop, Nehru Place, New Delhi had explained me so many features. The company has an amazing tenacity to come out with more convincing lies and false claims followed by campaign after campaign. I strongly feel that the standard of your services are deteriorating day by day and days are not far when people will start distrusting you. Since I have lost my passion and therefore decided to bid a good bye to your product as well as firm.
                                      On one hand it is being advertised that your network is the best but on the other hand the services offered to your costumers are far from satisfactory. In nutshell I categorized your services as worst. To say more I feel will only be a futile exercise on my part and therefore I suggest that your Brand Ambassador (s) should reconsider their decision to endorse your product that is not worth trustworthy anymore and rather contrary to its so-called claims.
                                      It is a fact that I have even been charged for the services that were not rendered to me. Therefore I request you to kindly reimburse the excess amount charged from me at the earliest.

IS [protected].I have got Internet Broadband combo plan 749,in this Plan I am to get Rs. 100 free talk time on my Landline no. and Recharge of Rs. 100/- every month on my Pre-paid Mobile No. [protected].I regret to say that every month I have to remind at 121 by making request to send Rs. 100/- recharge on my mobile phone.In spite of my so many requests every month automatically recharge of Rs. 100/- is not being sent to my mobile no. [protected].Will the higher authority look in to the matter and solve my problem?

                                        Airtel — Broadband free recharge not happening

                                        Hello Sir,

                                        I have an Airtel One 799 broadband plan for my tel no.[protected]. I am supposed to get a 100 rupee free recharge on my mobile [protected] every month per the plan. This is however not happening since the last five months.

                                        I have raised about six tickets which your customer service representatives are closing down without investigating or resolving the case, but just to meet their SLAs. If the recharge is happening I expect an SMS every month to that effect. The last such SMS was in Dec 2009 and now it is Mar 2009.

                                        Would appreciate you looking into the matter.
