Dear Sir/madam

I am mehul patel from vadodara,Gujarat. My complain against AIRTEL DTH services that i am using since last july-09.
i have facing a critical viewing problem since last two months. At last 21st april-10, I did complain to customer care. But my problem still not resolve even
they sent an engineer to my home. Meanwhile i called many times to customer care and even also mail them. Every time they reply and told me to
solve problem within few hours. But then after no body would come to solve problem.
My DTH unit is still under warranty of one year and they deduct daily charges from my account. I think they are not intend to solve the problem in
Warranty period and pass the time.
Today morning i also called customer care and tell him to take my unit and viewing card back and give me another set or give my money back,
but then after they just sent sms. My problem is still as it is.

After paying that much i am not happy. They are cheating people by giving ads. I want my money back soon.

Here i give some details of my id and complain no.

2nd complain on 15 may with no. 2698398- i talked to mrs. Jasmine today.
Technician come to my home Mr. Jayesh -[protected].

I got sms today on 5.33pm that “dear customer, your services request reference no is 2698398 for VC issues has been resolved.”
But still i continuously found problem.

So give me reply how can i take legal step against airtel DTH services. Please Give me reply soon.
I really need your help. Or give me local office address or your legal adviser contact no.

Dear Sir,
I have complaint a Video Problem of My Airtel Ditital TV on Dt[protected] Which Complain No is- 7242949 & My Customer ID is- [protected].
I have contact several Times to Head office & Local Office But my Problem was Not solved till date.
The Maximum Time For solving the problem is 24 hrs But it is now 6 days ago & My same Problem Exists.
I an Highly Dissatisfied For your Dealer Response..
Kindly Solve my Problem of Digital TV & Confirm us as earlier as possible.

Dear Sir,
This is Jainil Sheth from Vadodara, Gujarat and I am facing the same problem with these foolish airtel people.
I have purchased a Airtel Digital TV set top box and 25 days ago I request for addition of new channels.
I have reminded them for atleast 10 times and every time I heard the same answer that "You are having Dish orientation towards sattelite-1 and for your requested channels our engineer will come to your home and change dish orientation towards Sattelite-2 and your complain will resolve in 24 hours."
Till date I didnt get any response from those people.

    I have used DTH Airtel. Four Top up activated on id already. My Id No.[protected] & My Name is Mr. jagdish kumar singh. But Three Topup ( KIDS PLUS , COLOR & ENGLISH PLUS ) are not appear on the Channel This Channel are Show ERROR CODE -4.While its 4 channel are already activated on my DTH ID.
    I am also complained to your Costumer Executives Last 10 days daily but not response on my channels.

    Please Refresh my all Topups (KIDS PLUS , COLOR & ENGLISH PLUS).

    One of the worst service provider in the world is Airtel. Please don’t recommend airtel DTH to anybody.

    Airtel is Waste in all respective services which they are providing

    Airtel can give the entire connection to TATA who is giving best service as of now.

    AIRTEL DTH IS THE WORST CONNECTION AND AIRTEL SERVICE IS BAD THAN ANY SERVICE PROVIDER. AFTER 4 DAYS AIRTEL TECHNICIANS CAME TO INSTALL DTH AFTER I LAUNCEHED COMPLAINT AT NODAL OFFICE. I AM GETTING ONLY ERROR CODE:4 SINCE THEY HAVE INSTALLED IT AND THE TECHNICIAN TOLD AFTER INSTALLATION THAT "ERROR CODE WILL GO AFTER 10 MINUTES AND ALL CHANNELS WILL COME" AND HE WENT AWAY.EVEN AFTER 18 HOURS ITS JUST SHOWING ERROR CODE:4 ON ALL THE CHANNELS AND CUSTOMER CARE AND TECHNICAL SUPPORT AGENTS SAYING IN 1 HOUR OR 4 HOURS THE ISSUE WILL BE RESOLVED AND ITS PATHETIC SERVICE AND BAD EQUIPMENTS THAT I HAVE EVER SEEN ALL THE EMPLOYEES OF AIRTEL JUST GIVE LAME EXCUSES AND PROVIDE BAD SERVICE.IF AIRTEL CAN NOT PROVIDE GOOD SERVICE TO HE CONSUMERS THEN AIRTEL EITHER SHOULD GIVE REFUND TO THE CONSUMERS AND DISSAPEAR FROM THE MARKET OR SHOULD GIVE HIS BUSINESS TO TATA OR DISH TV WHO ARE THE BEST SERVICE PROVIDERS.NEVER RECOMMENT AIRTEL DTH TO ANYBODY.
    Worst service ever experienced.
    Recharge done and the subscribed channels are not getting displayed.
    There is no response from customer service.

    1. The plan is automatically getting preponed with higher rates than the actual plan rates.
    2. Additional channels are added without our permission.
    3.Subscribed channels comes with error code 4 after the successful recharge.
    Each rupee counts and do not cheat the customers by misguiding them.
    Provide proper support when some problem is encountered.
    Am getting error as TV code 4, regarding this I have complained a n number of times through airtel app but no responses and no actions taken on the issue. Paid for 6 months pack and now almost one month gone since unable to use TV. Whether airtel will bare this one month charge sure they won't, their need is to only receive the money not the customer needs. Worst DTH better can navigate to Tata sky which is far better than this worst airtel dth

      Subject: Set Top Box not functioning.

      In continuation to the below emails, yesterday we called your customer care centre in Panaji “Anuj Agency” with complaint No. 2674504, they replied that they are supposed to get New Set Top Boxes by today evening, so they will send the replacement by next day.
      Today we got a call from “Anuj Agency” that no technician is with them, with request to bring the Set Top Box to Panaji, at that time I was in my Panaji Office, I went back to my Home 14 kms from here, brought the Set Top box.
      One technician came to my office with old Set Top Box, which couldn’t be swapped by your controlling office. The technician giving bad remarks to the customer care manager had taken back the Set Top box which he brought for replacement.

      Dear Sir,
      With reference to above captioned subject, we need to bring in your kind notice that from last 4 days the Set Top box RED colour LED is not glowing and nothing is appearing on TV screen.
      The unit is registered on my son name Mr. Gaurav Gupta and his mobile No. [protected] the registered email ID # [protected]@gmail.com.
      Continuously we are complaining the issue to your company, but seems that your company is not taking it seriously, and not interested is solving the problems faced by your valued customer’s after selling the product.
      Who will compensate our losses of per day charges for a week time and the loneliness & harassment my family suffered?
      If the problem is not solved within 24 hours of this email, then we may move the case to consumer forum and ministry of telecast & broadcasting for which your company will remain solely responsible for any serious action taken by the departments.
      The negative attitude towards after sales service and supports reflects very poor services rendered by your company, which is great irritation to the customers, those who are using your products and services. Try to improve your after sales services, thus satisfying the customers.
      Kindly look into the matter and resolve it as earlier as possible and oblige.

      Dear All
      I have taken the two DTH HD connection from Airtel and requested for connecting under one Id, so i can save some money and simmilarly company will save installation cost. but to my regrate they not only created two Id but also anable to rectify the mistake. I have made so manny calls to customercare help line and service provider GLOBAL but all in vain.
      thay all work like a recorded box in this internate era.
      Iam tatally frustrated and belive that our old cablewala is much better then these recorded box.
      Now i have requested them to cancell my order if they are not doing under one ID.

      Airtel DTH — hopeless service by airtel

      I have Airtel DTH connection since one year.I had recently changed my home location in the same city . 2 weeks back i had booked re installation request and they gave maximum time of 5 days that engineers will be there for reinstallation ,but there was no response. Till now i had called them for more than 15times and they do false promises and keep on extending the given time.
      There is no proper customer service at all. Airtel service is HOPELESS and FALSE. There system is also not updated.

        I am having a airetel connection from last 6 yrs. as a postpaid customer but from last 8 months i am having a problem of billing with airtel and after making a complaint at customer care the problem will be solved and assurance been given to me that nothing worng will be charged in future. But the adjustment allowed to me for the bill shall again showed as unpaid amount in next bill the same thing is being happened in feb.march and april bill of 2010 but now the customer care people are not even listing properly are the airetel services of that kind, the customer has got an ample time free to call you peoples and make a request like a begger for undue unjustifed charges. reply the same my no. is [protected]

          This is a complaint against one of the franchises of Airtel Digital Tv - Vriti Infocomm - who are responsible to sell the kits and install Airtel Digital TV.

          I ahd booked Airtel Digitav Tv Kit online. After that I got a call from a Sales executive - Mr. Sharad Dixit from Vriti Infocomm. He had called me on 24th april assuring me that if I made the payment online for the Airtel Digital TV immediately, the installation will be done by 6pm on the same day. He confirmed that once the payment is made he will himself get it done and the situation will not arise that he will stop picking my calls.Once the payment was made I called him at least 50 times but Mr. Sharad did not pick up my call.

          Later on the installation was done on 27th April and the commitment given by me was not fulfilled. Also none of the executives were ready to give me the cell no of any of the senior so that I could put in a complaint. I called Mr. Taufiq (manager), the cell was picked up by Mr. Sachin and as soon as I told him that I want to speak to Mr. Taufiq, he disconnected my call.

          I also visited Vriti. I met Customer Head ans Sales Manager. They apologized but did not let me meet the executive. They said that he is not available.They gave a small kit of a T shirt and cd pack as a token of sorry. I specifically asked them to ask the executive to give a call and apologize for the rude behaviour but have not got a call still. I have also mailed the CEO of the company, but he has also overlooked the matter.
          I think Airtel should look into the matter as the franchises are making fool of the customers and the reputation of Airtel Company is being hit.

          Airtel — Fraud by sales officer

          Hi Team,

          This is bring to your notice that I have been contacted by one of you employee named Sudhakar.P (sr.officer sales ) contact no [protected] promoting the new offer from Airtel.

          He offered me a package of Rs 499 unlimited broadband connection . for which he took a payment of Rs1100 with the cheque no 135757 drawn under Bharati Airtel Ltd.

          The same time he confirmed that the connection will be done by Saturday the 28th Feb, till now there is no one contacted on this also the cheque is encashed .

          Tried calling his number but he is not lifting the phone and there is no response from him. And he haven’t provided with any reference number .

          Request you to kindly help me on this as early as possible .

          AIRTEL DIGITAL TV — False Information given by the Sales Executive

          I spoke with the customer care executive and came to know that my Airtel Digital TV account (3 Months Free) is valid only for 2 months; however I have taken the connect on 29th March, 2009 and informed that it will be valid for 3 months.

          Please let me know why the discrepancy is there between the comments on the sales executive and the customer care executive.
          To being a renowned company Airtel can’t cheat the customers like that and I want to take this matter into Consumer Forum for further assistance

          Airtel — rude behaviour by the sales officer

          My Prepaid Sim has been blocked without notification by Airtel. Upon enquiry, I was told that there was some problem with the verification of the documents. However, I never got an intimation regarding this. I recharged my account on that very same day by 1000Rs. Within 2 hours of this, my SIM got blocked. If there was really a problem with the verification, how did the recharge take place?

          The worst part is the Rural sales officer assured me that the issue will be sorted out in 72 hours. Now it has been more than 8 days. The person has stopped responding to my calls. The last statement he said was this "aap ko jo karna ho karlejiye. I am least bothered." The name of the person is Satyenderpal Singh Bhatia and he is the rural sales officer in Indore.

          i was book installation of airtel digital tv order on 30 Jun 2010 but the company side no response to me i was again complaint on 02 Jul 10 and 04 Jul 10 there is no response to me. the airtel digital tv customer care was unresponsible behaviour with me/customer.

            I have purchased two postpaid sim cards from airtel sales executive in the name of Hardik Narendra Trivedi & Narendra Balubhai Trivedi and the numbers are [protected] & [protected] respectively

            The airtel executive who sold the fake scheme & gave wrong committments is Mr Dattatray from Peninsula Chambers & his contact number is [protected]

            I have discussed the nature of compliant with airtel helpline & retention center & also visited the Airtel Malad Gallary but by query is still not solved & i am wasting my time due to the same reason

            My complaint number is 32268913 & 32268925 respectively given by airtel customer care

            I have not utilized single minute of both the numbers and the airtel expect i should pay the bill

            Kindly look into the matter

              I am having airtel postpaid cell phone connection bearing no. [protected] under CUG 249 plan where i used to get 600 min free talk time. recently i have received regular calls from airtel agencies stating that a new scheme with additional 400 min. free talk time i.e. free talk time for the first 1000 min for same 249 rental. for this scheme i was asked to take new connection as the existing scheme cannot be changed. accordingly i have converted my earlier no i.e. [protected] to pre-paid and obtained new connection with the no. [protected]. after getting new connection i was informed that the free 1000 min would start only after first 500 mins which are chargeable. this new scheme is not at all useful to me. i have taken this connection on the wrong information provided by the service provider.

              hence i request that my earlier no. i.e., [protected] may be reverted back to my earlier plan, while cancelling the new connection which i have taken on the wrong information given by the service provider.

                Dear Sir,

                I submitted an application with airtel for changing the ownership of the mobile no from my name to my name on 26 April 2010. At the time of submitting the application the person at the airtel office in Indiranagar had informed me that while the ownership is changed everything else on that no will remain same including bill plan, std & isd services, credit limit etc. 2 days after the ownership was changed I got a SMS from airtel stating ISD had been disabled and when I called there customer care I also got to know that the bill plan had also been changed without my consent or without any request from my side. I logged a complaint with them, after which they have re-activated the ISD service but they are refusing to reverse the bill plan to the old plan saying it was an old bill plan and has been withdrawn. They are now ready to cancel this connection which I have been using for more than 5 years, but they refuse to change the bill plan.

                  my name is prasad and i'm presently working in a central Govt. organisation in tirunelveli district.i've been using airtel no.[protected] for the past two months. I've got a query with airtel regarding balance issue. i've tried to contact airtel customer care on 121 for three times, after IVR transfered the call to customer care executive, i've got a responce that PLEASE CHECK THE NUMBER YOU'VE DIALED. Yhen i've called on 198(airtel complaints number) there also i've got the same responce..next call onwards IVR started responding me to send a message called AIRTEL to 121. I've sent that message too. Nobody had responded. At last I've called the customer care from my friend's mobile. the call was finally connected to Customer care..after a min of discussion she put me on hold, and then she disconnected the call( even i've warned her that i'm going to lodge a complaint in consumer court if she disconnects the call)...there was no chance of less coverage area as it was showing three bars in my mobile.
                  Again i've connected the call to customercare on 198 from my friend's mobile, i've got in contact with the customer care..i've told him the entire story..after a couple of mins he also disconnected the call..

                  Bieng a user What i can do is, i can bring the complaint to the consumer court. please send me the action to my mail address ([protected]@yahoo.com)

                  please take necessary disciplinary action on the above mentioned company.

                    recently lost my mobile and so i bought a new Sim card from one of your Airtel offices by paying 25 rupees.

                    While i am writing this e mail it has already been 4 days and my SIM card has still not been activated. I have already received all kind of possible excuses from the customer service department and i still haven't got a solution. (Not even something that sounds close to a solution) and to mention that this has been one of the sickest customer service experiences i have ever had.

                    Solutions given by your customer service department,

                    1) System updation - a susal answer given by the agents if they dont have a solution to the problem.
                    2) Buy a new sim - solution given by a so called supervisor.
                    3) Activation pending and require 24 hours to get it activated - repetitive answer given by CSR's at the end of every call and it has already been more than 90 hours.... ( by this time my card could have been activated more than 3 times....)
                    4) Card has been activated - while the card has still not been activated.
                    5) Card shows pending activation - i got this reply after i have received the previous answer at no:4....

                    I have also worked as a CSR but i have never come across such lethargic, horrible, irresponsible, unsupportive


                    For god's sake if a human is going to read this email please help me get my SIM card activated as i do not have any other option and that is the advantage you people will take from a helpless customer like me!

                    I took a new postpaid connection and just after two days my sim card stopped working. I went to the airtel representatives sitting in reliance corporate park campus and i was told new sim cards are short in supply. after a lot of arguments they took out a new sim card from the drawer of their table. They promised me that the number will be same and will be activated by 8 in night as next two days are holidays being 26 jan and sunday. My sim was not activated and when i tried calling my no as my friend told me its ringing , i found out that airtel gave same no to someone else and that person is using my no for 2 full days and airtel customer care doesnot respond on phone.

                    I am highly frustrated and angry.......................

                    Airtel/Sim card activation — worst & rude customer treatment

                    Hi i am Aditya I am an customer of airtel from past 3years.when ever i get issues in connectivity i tried to contact customer care.Its like reaching milestone to reach the customer care executive.Really i felt bad and wasted my enormous time by waiting in IVR menu.

                    One of the worst treatment i faced in 07/01/09 that i lost my mobile & got Duplicate sim card at the instant of replacement they promised me it will be activated with in 2 hours.But i waited up to next day still it as not activated.than i contacted customer care agent "Annapurna". She promised that with in 2pm it will be done.Again i waited up to evening 7.30 . than i called again spoke to an lady called "Kavitha" She really according to me unfit for any kind of job in this world.She as never tried to listen my request.she just asked my name contact number & address than put me in hold for 5 mins.Came back and said this is fault through Dealer & asked to contact them.than i was trying to tell her that i got this from direct airtel not through any dealer but she never listened to my words instead she repeatedly saying contact dealer..., When i interrupted she rudely said listen this is what you have to do, I cant help you

                    I have purchased a new airtel postpaid sim through a airtel dealer on 12/08/09.
                    and they told that it will activate after three days but till now it is not activated.
                    When i tried to enquire to airtel dealer got no response.
                    So please take an immediate action against them...

Today at 05:00 pm i called the CS again only to be disconnected 8-10 times... finally when the executive picked up the phone i spoke to a supervisor ABHI, , , , who promised that he is activating the connection...IN 4 HOURS (i don't know how long are 4 hours) now again at 09:40 i speak to another supervisor anurag 5500 did not even have the numbers.. I told him to speak to his junior and take the numbers and he disconnected the call... now on line again..

                    If anone from Airtel authoity is checking this please send all the employees on a LONNNNNNGGGG Brk and hire new sensible people...

                    i am using airtel post paid sim in my nokia mobile. But now i am getting problem with my sim card.Most of the time no network coverage message comes.I tested with other airtel sim card and observed my handset is ok with other airtel simcard,but not with my own sim card though there is no pending bill

                      My prepaid number was barred without any intimation. I called up 121/198, no help. I was asked to go to Airtel office and resubmit the documents. Why, no answer. I submitted my docs in Divyashree Chambers, Banerghatta Road Office. Even after a week, no update, outgoing still barred. I went to Koramangala office. The lady at prepaid counter tried helping and called up Banerghatta office, but they were clueless. I submitted my documents for the third time at Koramangala office and filled up the form again. I was given another sim stating that the old one will be barred in a day completely and new one will get activated along with my balance transfer, with same number. After 4 days, old sim is barred, new one not activated. I get a call from same lady stating that the old number can not be fixed and I will be given a new number if I visit them again. So after 4 calls to Airtel and 3 visits to their offices including 3 times documents submission; I am left without my number which is with everyone in my family and friends circle, including all official records.
                      All this hassle without any fault of mine. Highly unprofessional behaviour by Airtel. Never thought of this in my distant dreams.
                      I am going to disconnect my Airtel broadband and shift to some other provider who has some ethics left.

                        I had taken Airtel broadband connection (Phone: [protected]) in the month of Feb (18th Feb). As per the 749 tariff plan 8GB was free for the month. I have used the net connection only for surfing. And as per my usage the data download was not more than 3-4 GB. I have used net for 1-2 hrs daily and only for surfing.But in the bill it was shown as 14.4GB was used in 14 days and billed amount is 5500 (After all the discounts). To check how the data download was calculated i logged in to Gmail and logged out and then checked the download amount which was shown as 1MB. In normal cases the data download should be in few Kb. I have logged a complaint and asked for explanation of this excess amount of data downloading shown in the bill. The complaint was closed without any explanation and my satisfaction.Twice I tried to log another complaint but customer care was not at all supportive and neither did they logged my complaint and nor did they gave me any explanation for this overly charged bill. For two weeks (march 2nd and 3rd week) i called airtel customer care but all my efforts went in vein. The bill amount is extremely more and i don't agree with the bill amount. I don't know whom to complaint. I want to complain against the customer care who did not take my complaints seriously.
                        I want Airtel people to revise the data download amount which is shown too much (1 GB per day: Lots of data should be downloaded to make 1GB, example Downloading a big movie which can not be replaced by net surfing).
                        Had i been interested in downloading that much data i would have gone for unlimited plan.

                        Airtel has disappointed me. Seems like Airtel people are making money from the users of limited GB plan by charging whatever they want.
                        Its regarding the complaint which we have logged on 1st of june pertaining to landline number [protected], our airtel broadband connection is not working. We have been calling the customer care everday( 3times each day) and they are always providing us with the false commitments that the issue would be resolved within an hour, even after talking to all the managers. And they say that our service request has been put on topmost priority.

                        Finally we have lost our hopes that our issue would be resolved by Airtel Broadband, as no one is looking into it on part of Airtel broadband. Can any of you please guide us on how we can get this resolved.

                          Hello all,

                          I am using Airtel Broadband services for quite a while. Have been paying 1000 Bucks everymonth.

                          I have given 20 complaints believe it or not.. in past three months and its about the same issue.. A guys comes to my home sir everything is fine it'll be perrfect here after..

                          Spoke with mangers, they keep on saying "We understand your problem, we'll rectify it". They changed wires aftr 20th complaint and the funny part its still the same problm..

                          I have no idea whom to contact and whom to speak with about the issue. I been paying money for the service which I am not using properly and if i ask about it they go like "This time we'll rectify.. and if i insist then" Senior manager from chennai "Guna Sekar" gave a comment most of the airtel customers wil face the same problm so we cant take action against your bill.

                          WTF??

                          No idea.. I don't recommend airtel cuz it sucks to the core and employees act as if they are paying to us/providing free service.. Damn

                          Get a life and try to improve your service.. Provide service atleast for what we are paying.

                          Yes I am also facing the same problem, i think they are using this as a technique to limit large data transfer to unlimited data transfer plan customers, it really bad when things are not solved after scores of complaints. unfortunately Airtel is a monopoly in some areas we dont have better alternatives.
                          Airtel was the best ISP in India few years back. However recently the story has changed drastically. And plus now they have stupid usage policy. They should understand the difference between Unlimited plan and Limited plan... have come up with new strategy to fool the masses. Check out the plans that airtel has to offer and even a kid would feel ashmed about it. I was the one who was recommeding people to use airtel and only airtel from past 5 years since 2006. But now i would be the one who will spread the word and not will let everyone know in my family and friends that airtel is now a bogus company which is trying to fool people...the plans are almost like daylight robbery.

                            I was using SIM ([protected]) since 4 years and was paying all charge whatever is necessary to avail the Mobile service. Even the Complainant recharged this Prepaid SIM with Life-time recharge card(Rs. 999) as I am really impressed as well as robustly in favor of the Airtel Company. Than after I moved to Rourkela(Orissa) for livelihood and I purchased a new sim for Rourkela but I was using Balurghat’s(West Bengal) Airtel connection (SIM). I have charged many times from the amount of roaming on the SIM which can be checked from respondent’s record.


                            Than after I moved to Balurghat(West Bengal) and I entered the SIM on mobile for its use, the SIM was out of order. I made request to “Customer Care” of the Airtel, thereafter the complainant came to know that that SIM has been expired and blocked by the Company. I again made request to “Customer Care” to activate that SIM again as that has Life Time Validity but they refused to do so.

                            So I want that Mobile Number again.

                              I am Paramjeet Chonkria having mobile pre paid no. [protected] since 9 years is made out of service without any prior information on 21-April-2010.
                              I contact to costumer care they told me to give the ID Proof. I submit it on 22-April-2010 at evening at WG-596, Near Jyoti Chowk, Nakodar Road, Jalandhar. I contact Airtel coustmer
                              care 2 or 3 times, they told me to come another day or come after a week or 3 days etc.
                              And after 14 days on 6-May-2010 at Airtel Carecenter {WG-596, Near Jyoti Chowk, Nakodar Road, Jalandhar} your employe told me that your number is dead now. And it is not possible to use
                              that number again. That no. is used by my father and he is a doctor so they need this number urgently. I am still not believing that how can
                              Airtel -Bharti like company do like this to a parmanent customer.

                              I want to know that what is the fault of coustmer, why are your company doing this. Your employes at carecenter at {WG-596, Near Jyoti Chowk, Nakodar Road, Jalandhar}
                              are unable to give me any satisfactor answer.

                              Please help on this matter & take some strong action for not repeating again these types of sufferings to anyboy else.

                                I purchased the world calling card fro Rs500/- from Chennai airport on the 9th May 2010 morning at around 2 AM. I travelled to Dubai and from there to USA (Pittsburgh via New York). I have been trying to make calls from the card but they say it is not active ???????

                                I seek an explanation regarding the same and urge you to make activate the card ASAP. whats the point when we buy a card in International airport for a travel to international destination, so that we are in touch with our family and the card is not activated when we have paid the full amount before we get the card. this is absolute cheating. For travellers like me who travel for a short time internationally and are back to India, if this is the case then its a mere waste of buying the card. IT seems as if Airtel is cheating the customers to make profit?????
                                It might sound harsh but you are making fools of your customers or you are playing pranks to make profit in the communication sector.

                                Please reply and activate my card at the earliest

                                  I took a Airtel Connection (number - [protected]) submitting all the necessary valid documents. But still after 6-7 days, my outgoing was barred on May 10, 2010. When asked for the reason, they say it is because of signature at wrong places. The connection was taken from the retailer Al-Bashun Traders (S No - 8-1-284/OU/283). Now I am being said to re-submit the documents to re-avail the services. And when I went to re-submit it at the Mehdipatnam Airtel Relationship Centre(Zion Communications), they say that they will be needing the stamp of the retailer and the distributor on the documents. Now it is not possible for me to locate the distributor and get the documents signed by him. Even the Customer Care Center is not co-operating for the same.

                                  The account had a balance of Rs. 257, which they are unwilling to transfer to some other airtel number by my name. Also, as this is the only number I have been using, and as I have been uanble to make calls, I have lost almost Rs 20,000 in daily trades. Besides, my professional commitments also suffered a setback, as I was running to get things fixed to the best of my abilities.

                                  Please consider this as my official complaint and help me to regain back atleast the financial losses I have incurred till now. Its close to 21,000 taking all the conveyance, account balance and the losses I incurred in my trade, leaving apart the harassments that I had to suffer physically and mentally.

                                  Why should subscribers re-submit their documents if they already had and it was the error at the service providers end that they either lost the data or have a mismatched data. How reliable are 3rd party people in collecting the data on behalf of Airtel and this time nothing is missed or mismatched.
                                  Airtel sells our details to third party people for making marketing calls which is nothing but harassment, who gave Airtel the authority to sell our data to others.
                                  And this re-submission, they just wanna make more money by re-selling the updated data to third parties and nothing else.
                                  If they are already listening to all calls, viewing all sms and emails, how would this re-submission of data help them.

                                    I did ask Airtel to disconnect my post paid connections as am moving out of India. Did tell the same when the customer care or Airtel representatives called me for confirmation of the disconnection request. And they told that my 2 numbers will be disconnected before 6th of April. These calls were voice recorded from Airtel side

                                    After raising and confirming this request, did pay the total outstanding amount in one of the Airtel outlet in Madurai. Also confirmed with the Airtel representative in the outlet that there is no other payment required from my side. During this time the Airtel representative in the outlet, asked me to change to Airtel pre-paid from post-paid connection as disconnection will take time but pre-paid conversion will be done in 24 hrs

                                    And as per the Airtel representative, the numbers were not converted to pre-paid in 24 hrs. And one of the number was deactivated and other was still active till 6th of April, 2010

                                    After this, I received bills for both numbers

                                    And let me tell about the billing for one of my Airtel numbers. The bill was generated for the period after disconnection or deactivation. And I did send so many emails to [protected]@Airtel.com regarding this. The replies were not to the point, all the replies followed a pattern,

                                    ".....understand your concerns.....there is a outstanding amount....please pay the bill.....require your co-opertaion..."

                                    Can attach those emails & also can share the Airtel number as well if required

                                    Have spent so much time and effort in sending so many emails but still no definite response from Airtel side. I wanted to bring to the forum so that can get due justice

                                    Please help me to come out of this frustration which is there for months long

                                      i have been continually harassed by airtel in my over 2 year old airtel lifetime prepaid connexion( mobile number [protected], owner sk roquibul alam, address bagnan, howrah). how ? here are by these ways:
                                      1. when asked for better nop service( gateway : airtelwap.com),crooked airtel always insist on delivering airtel live settings( gateway: airtellive.com) or mobile office settings( gateway: airtel gprs.com). the first service is charged rs.104( no additional charges are applicable).the second service is , as aired, a preactivated service but one will only be charged if one uses the gateway and download a content . the third service is charged with rs.98 and additional charges are applied after exceeding 2gb surfing / downloading limits both for phone and pc. it will arise your surprise to know that these three services are active in my phone even after my ten-time request to turn them off( airtel live and mobile office services). i wistfully recharge rs.104 only to enjoy the nop service and avoid the extra charges.

                                      2. airtel push its nop customer forcibly to click an advertise which is tagged with extra charges. such instances are my real time experience. last time when using nop in my W810i in the netfront inbuilt browser, i had been forcibly clicked an advertise and charged rs.99. when asked, airtel refused to refund the money but they couldnt show any transaction history.

                                      3. my latest experience is somewhat absurd. i recharged with rs.104 within the expiry date of my nop service(on 30th april 2010 and my sister, 30th april 2010, my transaction id is [protected] ,time 6.39pm)but the service had been turned off in both of our sets till 07th May. nop service, as officially aired, takes maximum 48 hrs tobe activated in a set after recharge from deactivated state. in our case airtel took 7 days for lodging complaint here.

                                      4. i couldnt call to any local number till 3 months after recharging with rs. 39( local calls will be 50 paise/min).

                                      5. though i am subscribed with airtel do not disturb service( no A[protected]), i got advertises.

                                      6. when conversating, the tower signal bar fluctuate so often and automatically ended the conversation. the phone status when aliening with other sim does not provide this result.

                                      even when pressed *123# it shows my lifetime expiry date is 2014 and not 2025 as promised.

                                      what more can i tell.
                                      customer care authority plse take serious actions against these criminals.

                                      your disgusting contact with improper answer made me disconnect my phone with you. last time on 11th May you contacted me regarding this complaint of mine. but you repeatedly stated that you cant provide 7-day-extension of my nop expiry due to its late connexion this month. the following msg was sent to my mobile when disconnected with you:

                                      Dear Customer,

                                      This is to inform that your Q/R/C has been parked and action will be taken shortly.

                                      so the conclusion is again no solve of my right want but the another jolt of problem- a gift from Airhell! shame on you.
                                      at last i got a midas-touch ! a miracle has happened ! last time when contacted [protected]@airtelindia.com asking for the extension of the nop expiry date, the reply was full of surprising- a complete shower of miracles - 1. i was given rs.25 as the demorage charge for the late nop connexion. it was written that there will be no extension of nop expiry date. its ok . 2. suddenly i am receiving MY TODAY news alerts once again after 6 months of blockade by airtel. 3. my sister also benefitted the rs.25 gift! 4. suddenly she also got receiving the MY TODAY news alerts in her mobile (s500i)! 5. 2pm to 2am eternal nop service congestion is vanished ! 6. and last but not the least my mobile( W810i) battery life shows less usage due to the High Speed Circuit Switch Data is turned on by airtel.
                                      ...and the credit goes to...the Customer Care Authority of India on whose supervision the above said impossible or miracles are done.

                                        I have 1p per second (local and std) active on my aritel prepaid connection. But I never bothered to look if I was being charged correctly, thinking that Airtel serves its customers very well.

                                        But today i realized that this is not the case. They are charging more. I had called nearly 4-5 seconds (local call to one of my friend) , and I was charged nearly 19 paise. That means from the day I had opted for the 1p per second thing, I have been charged wrong.

                                        I dont want to change my number, so I have to stick to Aritel. So I have no other choice. But I thought to post this here, so that other customers are aware of the practice Aritel follows. So be careful, and check on the charges being deducted after you call.

                                        Ya Same thing Happened with me when I was on Roaming and I got SMS from AIRTEL regarding ROAMING PACK 43 RS and I activated the same in my SIM in that SMS it's not mentioned that your existing plan will be discontinue so My friends plan is discontinued and AIRTEL Charging me higher charges and authority not able to give me in written about this. Since I am a very old customer since 5 years I am using same still they are not listening my complain.
                                        And they are saying that it's mentioned in that as a 1 year validity as I checked my SMS 2-3 nothing has been mentioned means Airtel Misguiding it's customers regarding it's offers.

                                        So is there any way to launch a complain in Consumer Forum as well as in TRAI regarding this misguiding.
