Dear Sir,
I am experiencing very slow speeds on my Airtel Connection. I use internet generally on my mobile phone itself and I have found the speed to be very unsatisfactory. I am using one of the newest Android handsets, rest assured ...the problem is not with my mobile phone. I have the [protected]@Rs98 pack activated on my mobile. But with the current speeds I dont think I will even be able to use 300-400 MB. I am using your EDGE network and to the best of my knowledge the speeds are supposed to be much better than 2-3 KBps than i am getting right now. I suspect you are throttling the GPRS Unlimited plan users. Just to mention than I recently switched to Airtel, from CUG Vodafone plan (for which my company was paying the bills), just so that I can use the internet without hassles. Is this how you plan to get loyal customers?

AITEL GPRS SPEED IS VERY SLOW. IT IS EVEN BELOW 1000 BYTES. WILL THE COMPANY PROVIDE GOOD SERVICE TO ITS CUSTOMORS. OTHERWISE IT SHOULD SHUT DOWN THE SHOP.

I am using gprs facilities of Airtel mobile office on payment of Rs.399 per month, through mobile phone sony ericsson w580i. Now the problem I am facing that is of low speed i.e.115kbps. How can I increased upto 512 kbps?

airtel gprs package — migrating me to unwanted packages

i am from banglore, enjoying your mobile office weekly package from almost 3 years.
when my MO packages ends you migrate me to another package which i am not requested.

i am un aware of the trap and continue browsing which eat up all the balance in my account.
last month i lost 437 RS and yesterday 200.

i made complaint but no action.



please pay my money back, you cannot chest people like this.

change your soft ware, when my weekly pack expires dont migrate me, if i want gprs i will request you

who is responsible for this, any body there reply me

Airtel Postpaid Card — gprs not working

my gprs was not working form since 22nd of july, i called so many times in customer care but thier response is not good. i have face very difficult problem. so plz solve this problem as erly as possible

I am customer of airtel mobile service providers from past 3 years .But nowdays what thy are doing is they starts the hellotune offer and cuts the money ..This is happened 4 times with me and they havnt provide option to contact with the call center executive .So it is difficult to adjust with it.Bcoz they are cheating us they must refund our money and more on that shouldnt cheat customers bcoz this is happened with lots of customers .Many of them shifted to other provider.
The airtel gprs network congested after they introduced the 98 pack. the speed now are very slow...

They are working on the issue but cant resolve it due to large amount of prepaid users using the 98 pack and accessing the tower at the same time...

only way they can improve the speed is by removing the 98 rs internet pack...
Airtel is no;1 network in india and having good coverage area.and new offers.but now wards airtelgprs speed ingesed a little even thow not enough to our needs.we costemers whant to get the maximam speed airtel offering that must concider airtel.
in case of gprs aircel is better speed than airtel.at least whe need airtel overcome them.becose a large amount of peole who tring airtel gprs is reduced day by day du to slow speed conetion.and still standing with only a small hope that good network coverage.if airtel ingrease speed airtel can change nop plan to good rate.for eg;13 rupees (3 days validitty)nop can change into 15 and 3 days validity change to 2 days.and bsnl also having good speed without 3g it self.so i expeting good responding from airel as a regular gprs costemer or a lot of peole who ready to avoid airtel conetion.this is a comen complant we hop a goog responce from airtel the no;1

airtel gprs is not giving offerd speed to conumer.and two slow
The problem reported by puneet on 28 apr 2010 is not fully resolved .

In some places the problem is fully resolved, but a lot of customers are still experiencing the problem due to overloaded towers and airtel did nothing to solve this.

I am a postpaid customer.I reported the same problem on march first week 2010 to the nodal officer of kerala Mr Robin. every time i called him he said they are working on the issue & will resolve it in a week. Nodal office told me that the tower i use is over the capacity.

It took 3 months for airtel to make an improvement in the gprs speed.Even after that the speeds are pretty low, it just improved nothing else.

the speed of aitrel gprs before they introduced 98 pack was 160-200 Kbps even in peak time & the speed right now is still below 100 Kbps and highly fluctuating.

The only way airtel can resolve this issue is by Removing the 98rs Gprs pack & upgrade their servers and towers & start the pack again. so that the other customers not get affected by it.

I am now using Tata Docomo for gprs which gives me a speed of 160-180 Kbps even in peak times.

i live in chhattisgarh korba i m facing the same problem with 98 pack of 2GB in airtel pre. the speed is toooooooo slow so i call to customer care and complaint for very slow speed they register my complaint & given complaint number 00200200 & said problem is solved in 3 days but they do nothing i m still facing the same problem so i decided if the speed is not improve before 25th june i switch to docomo which provide good speed as my friend said.
Airtel's a great brand but the GPRS is terrible...moreover they arn't bringing 3g to punjab according to the bidding results... cmon guys u call this brand reputation??? why cant airtel do something about simple edge speeds? and if no 3g in punjab airtel is definately gna loose customers in this area...
i am a postpaid airtel customer, Edge speed before the introduction of 98 pack was 160 kps and now its 10-30 kpbs.

i am protesting by not paying my monthly bill till speed come back to the level it was few months ago.

all you guys do the same thing, no bill payment means no revenue, & airtel will learn form it.

use reliance tata idea or bsnl for gprs for good speed. at least they keep the promise of a BIG Brand.
Airtel is the worst GPRS/EDGE service provider, customer service very poor.I was having a low speed problem with airtel.After informing the customer care the speed got even worse.This shows the people there in Airtel dont posses any expertise in solving the problem.I'm getting speeds of 2-5KB/sec of speed after their person from AIRTEL technical team laid his hands.For high speeds with less variations go for BSNL EDGE/GPRS.For good customer service go to aircel, with little less speed but unlimited downloading

AIRTEL/GPRS — Wrong information/negligence of giving service

My problem was that i was unable to use my Yahoo mail on my Mobile i.e in Nokia E71. I was using it later before one and a half month after which i was suffering a hardware poblem for Camera so i dropped in the service centre and i recieved it two days before i.e on 26/11/2010. Finally i inserted the sim and was configuring my mail but my mobile is showing the message for a long time stating that Connecting to server or testing network connection and the i was unable to configure my mail. Now i called up the Airtel Call centre in which a girl was assisting me in rest of the configuration part yesterday i.e on 27/11/2010, i did it and it was not told by her that the airtel doesnt support yahoo.com site as it is the secure site and the user is required to pay $20 yearly for yahoo.com site to be used on my Nokia E71 mobile. she asked me to continue further using yahoo and in the same way also told me that for future problem contact on 12118 for technical issues. now i started using but the same problem was occuring while i am coneecting the yahoo mail it is not getting connected. today i.e 28/11/2010 again to the call centre and had a word with girl and asked me about the problem, itold her and she asked me about my model no, I said Nokia E71. she was not having handset knowledge because she told me that there is two model in Nokia E71 one is Nokia E71 normal and other is Nokia E71 Music but there is no such model as Nokia E71 Music. it was her first mistake. after which she said that yahoo.com is the site which you need to pay $20 yearly and interrupted her that i was using yahoo without paying anything except 98 rupees as my rental for GPRS to Airtel monthly. but she denied my words saying proving there is no such system o[censored]sing it without paying, i was completely upset as i used it later and noe someone is proving that i am saying false and i request her to transfer to a sophisticated technical whose going to guide me and she transfered my call to a guy whose name was Mr. Devendra Solanki and again he said the same words as the second girl but i asked him continuosly to check the updates and give solution as i was using it later also but he didnt did so. and while giving me some information he he get irritated saying that i cant do two work at a time better what i am saying you write that. so this is not a cutomer service part that i am getting after bearing Rs. 98 Rental and even if am not talking of my mail than there is another problem that am unable to use web browser, whenever am calling to a reciepent he gets wrong identification in terms of my number which shows in the recipents mobile screen. i want the output at any cot because they chrged me .0.50paise for per three minute and was talking to them since 15-20 min. that to thrice but still its not working. consumer should be treated properly and should get every updates, output in a positive manner and sholud listen but not interrupt. will be waiting for your positive feedback.

would like to add one more thing that now I am able to use my yahoo.com site which accoding to the call centre guy was that i cant use. he or the company should be charged for the same and i need a reimbursement for the same. than only from after one will try to give the right customer satisfaction and should be a lesson for all the person or the service provider who are challenging the cutomer about best cutomer service.

i totally agree with the complaint. i am currently using an iphone 3gs and i tried the 98rs pack on my iphone. It is a shame to use airtel net on a smartphone in my region(punjab). how can even one think o[censored]sing 2gb with such a speed even in an years time???? i had also migrated to airtel from vodafone this year using MNP. now i think i will have to switch again to aircel or some other service provider that provides 3g services in punjab. if the problem is not adressed well in time airtel will lose many customers in this circle...

Airtel — Unrealistic GPRS Usage

Hi,

Am an Airtel Prepaid User from Bangalore.Recently I received a huge bill amounting to more than 3 K and all it had was charges which were related to my internet usage.I had a similar issue with them last time to for which I made them reduce my bill (which I wasn't quite satisfied with).After this incident i installed a software in my phone which actually keeps a track of my internet usage including the websites i visit and stuff that i download(which i never did).All i do is check my mails and use Facebook.I called up the customer care and they told me that my usage is more that 4 gb for the month. I don't understand that just by checking mails and using FB can usage amount to 4 GB.According my my phones records i have hardly used 100 MB in the whole month. I called up the customer care many times and they took my complaint and they told my that i will be getting a call in 48 hrs which i haven not received yet and it has already been a week.

Please help me with the issue above asap. I can also produce the log generated by my phone if a proof is needed.

I recently switched to Airtel [protected]@Rs98 which is horribly slow... with this speed i think no body will ever be able to use more than 200 to 300 mb per month. if the company cannot provide the full usage value of the pack to customers, the company is going to really lose out on customers for being fallacious with such unrealistic fraudulent schemes. I feel that the network (Reliance) that i was using earlier was considerably faster than the present Airtel pack that i'm using. I request you to kindly resolve this issue which is really affecting millions of individuals suffering like me out there!!!

    Hi I don't know why airtel is deleting the number which was in use for over 6 months giving silly reasons like the address verification was not correct and the documents were not submitted so on.

    I contacted the Mysore Airtel Customer care stating them that my father has purchased a prepaid sim and all the documents have been submitted which was required. They then asked which all documents have been submitted, imagine we have to remember about the documents submitted for over 6 months!. I told that there are a variety of documents like rationcard, votersid, driverslicense, passport, PAN card, and however stated the address given in the SIM card application.


    Later they told that the address was not matching and the details are not correct, so they have DELETED(RECYCLED) the number so that cannot be restored. I have given the same number in resumes, to professional contacts, imagine the kind of material as well as professional loss i am incurred with. is there no law in this country?

    My father Sathyanarayana.S. has purchased the sim with all the requisite documents and address verification done, otherwise the number would not have been in use for 6 months and more!. I have talked upto the level of supervisor Vijayendra in the Airtel Customer Care number, Mysore which cost me over Rs.20. at the end of it all, the problem is not even resolved yet, I want that number to be restored. Kindly can someone suggest the future course of action to be taken.

    I think these people who replying as the name of Customer Care exicutive in this forum are fake. Dont believ them.

    You can try to contact Nodal Officer when Customer Care officials and Relationship officials are fails to accept your reactivation request.

    But you should contact them within 3months of your number has been deleted or deactivated.

    There is one more authority even if Nodal Officers fails to activate you mobile number back, that is Appellate Authority.

        coordinator who has promised me that he will provide me with data card on
        payment of Rs 500. He provided me Payment slip with APS receipt No 231513
        .SP/DP no[protected]DST009 , FSO code=01326

        FSO name == MANISH/DHIRAJ. FSO Mobile Number==[protected]

        Ihave the payment slip record with Name : BHARTI AIRTEL LIMITED and MALAD(w) ,
        interface 5Th floor link road office address.

        He has also affixed stamp of FARVISION SALES SERVICE, MUMBAI. I am unable to
        contact him as he has put his cell in switched off mode.

        He was carrying ID card of AIRTEL alongwith him

        He has also taken m address proff and voting card details with him. He promised
        me he will provide the data card within one day.

        Hence i request you to take necessary strict action against him and please
        provide me my 500 RS or data card whichever is applicable

        airtel/data card — 0 speeds on card, inability to resolve issue, non-closure of account despite repeated oral and written instruction, continued billing

        I purchased an airtel data card last year and right from the very onset I have had very low connection speeds despite all the promises to the contrary made by the salesperson (Abacus Communications, South Extn, New Delhi) and in the literature that accompanies the card. Within a few months the speeds dropped still further, only reaching a maximum of 8-10 kpbs. Despite repeated complaints to 7070, the technical complaint desk the issue was not resolved.

        Furthermore, by January 2008, I stopped getting any connectivity whatsoever with the Data Card at my workplace and the customer care executive and the technical help desk alike assured me it was only a temporary problem caused due to over load on the server. At home every time I attempted to use the card it would work until I opened a url and then hang, still connected at 0 speed. If I attempted to disconnect and reconnect, I would have to reload the driver all over again. It is obviously impossible to keep rebooting every time I wanted to move from one webpage to another and so I began complaining. During the course of that month I have lodged complaints at 121, 7070 and the Airtel Relationship Centre from where I purchased the card. No action was taken. After an extremely frustrating month of speaking to ever-changing customer care agents, in February I demanded that my card be discontinued as they were unable or unwilling to fix the problem.

        Yet again, no action was taken and I continue to receive monthly bills and daily calls from various airtel officers regarding "pending payments". As there was no usage possible on my datacard and I had requested that the card be discontinued, these so-called pending payments are to my mind highly unethical. Finally, extremely harrassed with the constant calls, I discussed the issue with a Mr Pawan and agreed to pay Rs 1000 Rs as final payment (for whatever little usage I had in terms of trying to get the card to work, finding speed dropping to 0 and then having to reboot the driver) with the agreement that the card would now be conclusively discontinued. A Mr Rawat came to my residence and collected the money assuring me that once this amount was logged into the system that day, Airtel would immediately send me a letter confirming the discontinuation of the datacard.

        It has now been 18 days since that day and I have not only not received the letter but also received a new bill for this month. It is obviously not against the scheme (599 rs a month) as the bill for this month is Rs 347.37. I had called Mr Rawat regarding the pending letter on the 7th and he assured me it was being sent to me, there had been a delay in processing the paperwork. I called him this morning and he tells me he is on his way to drop the letter off and the delay was because he was out of town.

        I am now exceedingly frustrated and annoyed with Airtel's cavalier attitude towards their customer and with the constant and outright lies told by their agents. I expected a company with the sort of legacy Airtel has to be more scrupulous in their dealings and am highly disappointed.

          Respected Sir / Madam,
          I, Tripti lohiya D/o Shri Santosh kumar lohiya, Age 23 year, kampthi line, Rajnandgaon, having Airtel Broad Band connection with User ID & Customer Acct. no. 14467116 .
          On dated 20/08/2009, I did disconnection the Airtel broad band connection after paying settlement amount of Rs. 800 with reference to Receipt no. IN 77474 dated 20/08/2009 and I also surrendered the modem together with payment of Rs. 800.
          Now after disconnection of broad band on 08/04/20010 I received call from Mr. Ashok Rana having mo. No. [protected] saying that I am Delhi district court clerk and here is case file against you & his Advocate Mr. Chandra kant oberai (mo. No. [protected]),that told me , I have not paid bill amount Rs.1380 i.e. up to nov. 2009, they tortured me for payment of bill. If you will not pay the bill we will file a suit of 420 against you in Delhi court & we will issue today warrant against you due to fear of them I paid the amount of Rs. 1380 dated 08/04/2010 Receipt no. CA98988645.
          Now sir, I want to know from you?
          What is happening?
          What kind of people, you are engaging for recovery of the dues from customer? Since I had disconnected the broad band connection on 20/08/2009 & after disconnection I am receiving call for bill from the airtel depots that I had not made payment after 20/08/2009, since I have surrendered the modem on 20/08/2009. Now how can I use internet there after.
          Your recovery agents Mr. Ashok rana & chandkant oberai without lessening us only tortured me for making payment of bill which I have not used. I go under mental presser and paid the bill.

          Airtel/ MO — Recover payable charge

          Sir, I recharged my mobile for Rs. 395 on 23rd january. But after this recharge the mobile office facility was activated on 4 Feb. I want to get my payable amount which was useless for me. Because between 23rd jan. to 4th Feb the mobile office facility was not available in my mobile. I have talked many times with customer care executive of Airtel but they told me that we already have sent MO setting at your number. They also said that whatever charged has been detection at your mobile number between 23rd jan to 4th Feb well be refundable. I have written complaint against it. And my complaint no is[protected].             Airtel in chennai is cheating people by deducting money without consumer's knowledge by subscribing them to the paid value added services. Even though i have not enabled any service pack and all, they are

            I have been charged for a few subscription packs regularly without my knowledge - eg: Animation Pack - Rs.15, McPack - Rs.15 two times. so totally Rs. 45 in one month.

            I have not enabled any cricket pack and all, but one day i have received one message, which tells, your cricket pack validity is closed by today and please recharge your cricket pack today, like that i have received.

            If Airtel is reading this, please refund the money or I will have to report this matter to the consumer court.

            My prepaid balance is getting deducted for a services which I never activated.

            When I called to airtel call center they debited back amount which has been deducted and told me that all services have been deactivate.

            but after few days again I same thing happen.

            After talking to nodal officer of airtel I got very poor response.

            They are not ready to accept tihere mistake. They are saying that I have activated the services and thats why they are charging for that.

            On one hand they are saying its not there fault and on other hand they debited back my balance.

            I am planning to go in consumer court now.

              Since the day I have taken the connection I have been facing the problem of frequent disconnection. I have mad numerous complaints to Airtel customer care which has resulted in work arounds to provide temporary solution but the problem has never been fully rectified. The maximum time after the providing a work around the connection has worked is a day.

              Even after repeated complaints for a complete solution no one has been able to resolve the problem. I want to file a complaint against Airtel to refund the money which I have paid for the services which I have not received.

                Please go through the mail which i had sent to you on 24th June 2008, after several complaints made to 121 and mail sent to Air tel121 through email, As of today nothing had been done to set right the Narasingapuram/ Ritchie street towers.

                I have contacts With HNI`s and VVIP`s. Every day i contact or they call me. As i am in conversation, the voice brakes as well as get disconnected. What would they think is i am avoiding them. A few of them miss understood me and stopped contacting me. Hence i am the loser.
                As this number i am holding from day one of my mobile, i am not in a position to deactivate it. If you are not taking this seriously. Then i shall forward this complaint to Consumer complaints forum and all forward copies to the Media.

                  My name is Mrs. Babita Pathak and I am a subscriber of airtel internet data card connection. I have taken a connection from last March '10 for Rs. 999/ with unlimited surfing facilities. My connection No is [protected] . My complaint is 1. The bill haven't reached me till date i.e. 26th April when the last date of payment is 27th of each month. When asked I was told it has been delivered to my neighbour on 16th april. which is not so.None of my neighbours have recieved any bill for me. 2. The billing amount has exceeded then the mentioned amount at the time of connection. When enquired about it I was told that certain WAP services have been activated in my packages. Which to my knowledge have never subscribed to. I have requested to discontinue with WAP services immediately and I was told it will be stopped after 4 hrs. but I still see those messages coming to me. I would request the concerned authorities to please look into the matter and do the needful immediately so that my bill doesn't get effected next month. Also the bill should be deliverd to my given address from next month onwards.

                        I write this in disgust. I felt like an when I had walked into the Bangalore - Indranagar relationship center next to Adidas showroom.
                        My blackberry service was disconnected without prior notice while I was on roaming [April 17]. I did not call the customer care immediately as I had bitter experience on the incompetent and misleading advice and did not want to waste money while on these stupid suggestions while roaming.
                        When I got back to Bangalore I had sent the message for activation PNP 8520 to 121 assuming that there might have been a clogged network and might have got disconnected due to some failure. But to my surprise a message returned stating that there already a request in progress and I will have to wait. So I did for a day.
                        When nothing resolved I tried the blackberry helpline 7070. Where they told me these exact same words.. " You will have to make edge to capitals sir to get it working ". Now I know that edge has to be caps if the data service has to work, I had called her to find out why and she gives me back the same problem that I told her. I had to follow her useless steps of switching off my handset and removing the SIM and battery leave it for 3 mins and then putting all this back and restarting it. And for no reason I did this. It still dint work.
                        I tried calling another person and he says to me that my BB service is active and I need to call the GPRS helpline who will then deactivate my GPRS and send me a new GPRS setting and within 4 working hours my service will be up and running. So I did call the GPRS helpline only to know that another clown was waiting there to read some steps out from a book in his mother tongue influenced English accent. And all the options and steps he was telling was for a phone other than blackberry. So I had to shake him up from his sleep and remind him my entire tragic story emphasising the fact that I own a Blackberry handset. Then he immediately had one response for me. "Please call 7070", wow ! Now I felt like an dumb person who cant communicate, I had clearly told him that the airtel bb helpline had directed me to him. So now he puts me on to his supervisor, who again has no clue. Again a dead end.
                        My calls continue, I try all possible methods suggested by various incompetent AIRTEL service team. Finally I made it to the relationship center at Indranagar Bangalore on Friday April 23 2010.
                        There is this dedicated person for Blackbery customers, If anyone is from Bangalore and been to this center you will notice this person who wears a french Beard well groomed person. Well nothing much said, please beware of this person! He is the most cunning and zero trustworthy person whom I have ever come across.
                        I had patiently explained all my problem to him. He listened to me, made me comfortable, walked to one of the billing agent [Preeti], whispered something and told me that she would address my issue. I walked to her with all hopes. Hoping that she already knew my problems, I keep myself brief and told her that my BB service is deactive. She had a simple answer for me... " We have withdrawn the service for prepaid customers" that puzzled me cos I had spoken to atleast 20 customer service agents who never told me this. So I asked her who decided that and why was it not notified, for that she told me that she does not know and all that she knows it that the service has been withdrawn. I told her that I know another person who has a prepaid number and is not facing the issue, for that she said that for some numbers they have not withdrawn, now thats ridiculous. So I asked her why it has been withdrawn, she says there are technical issues. So I ask her to give me the data that justifies her comment, she immediately picks up the phone and dials some number and told me that she will put me with a person who can answer my question, now why do I have to do that. Anyways she did not dial a valid number that i could see, she pretended to talk to someone and just hung up by telling me that since my balance was not cut I should be happy cos there are customers whose balance was cut. Thats not a relevant answer.
                        I would not blame her completely, the bearded man had instructed her to say so, but thats not how you treat a customer.
                        I walked out and called the customer care again to find out whether they have any news of the withdrawal of the service from the prepaid customers. They did not know of any.
                        I am using this Airtel connection for the Past 2 years, faced hardships like this before, incompetent call center agents, bad service etc but never had to feel like an like this. This has made me rethink about the Service provider.
                        Well my calling continued and finally it stands at a state where one woman has taken my complaint and assured me that the issue will be resolved by April 27 2010. Which I dont believe.
                        Whether or not the BB service is back and running on my phone, I have decided to exhaust the balance in my phone by the end of this month. I will starting my relationship with a better service provider who will offer me the same service.

But my bill for the month of April has come for Rs/ 1450/. when I tried finding out it was told to me that certain WAP services have been activated.                             I am having continuous problem with Set Top Box since last 6 months. The signal goes off suddenly and a red light beeps on the front side of Set Top Box. I have been making complaints each time this problem happens but the service engineer does not come. Also, I am told each time that there will a charge of Rs.100/= for each visit of engineer as the set top box is not covered under warranty now.
                            I have lost almost 10 days of viewing in last 6 months, which goes unaccounted but Airtel will charge me Rs.100 for a visit of engineer when there is a problem with the box. Why??? Why should a customer pay for an inferior Chinese make Set top box???

                            I made a complaint on toll free number 1215023, vide # 2525737 ( attended by Karan ) on Sunday morning (25th April 2010). I was told that engineer will come at 3pm. Later around 4pm I get a SMS on cell that the ‘Set Top Box’ problem has been resolved.

                            I fail to understand how and who has sent this SMS without the engineer coming and without the problem being resolved???
                            I filed a complaint again vide # 2529153 ( spoke Sandeep and then with Aadarsh) who said that the engineer will come at 9pm on 25th April 2010) but we waited till 10pm and no one came.
                            The whole Sunday I waited for the engineer to come and had to cancel 2 meeting, thereby resulting in financial loss for me. Who will pay for this?? The Set top box is still not working and as we all are working, no one will be at residence from 7am till 8pm.
                            Please let me know how this problem will be resolved?
                            Who will pay for the meetings I cancelled and waited the whole Sunday at home?
                            How will Airtel compensate for minimum 10 days of lost vewing of TV due to Set Top Box problem?

                            I feel there is a deliberate attempt to spoil the Set Top Box to either divert the connection illegally to some other viewer or to earn money by sending the engineer to visit.

                              Here is the mail i have put to the Airtel nodal office today...

                              Dear Mr. Rao

                              It is sad that I have had to write this but right now I am prepared to write to Mr. Sunil Mittal too...

                              Our woes started when we decided to buy an LCD and a DTH connection to watch the IPL matches. When we bought an LG LCD on April 11, 2010 from E-Zone Chembur, we were presented with an offer of a free Airtel DTH connection. As I am writing to you today, the connection has not been installed yet. Its been 15 days and we have missed 15 days of matches.

                              The situation is not only dissatisfying but has resulted in an irreparable damage. The situation has been brought about by the apathy of your personnel Ganesh ([protected]) and Balvinder ([protected]).

                              We have hence decided to forgo the free connection and the Rs 440 we paid to buy the activation coupon. As a customer and a shareholder in the company the transaction has left us dissatisfied and angry.

                              List of events:

                              LG LF 70 LCD bought from E-Zone Chembur
                              The offer voucher (free Airtel DTH) was not available with E-Zone till April 15, 2010. On April 15, 2010 we were asked to buy activation coupon worth Rs 440. The commitment given was that by April 17, 2010 the installation will be done.
                              On April 17, 2010 the E-Zone Manager was in discussion with Ganesh from Airtel DTH (his telephone number is [protected]) for installation but Ganesh stopped receiving calls.
                              On sunday also Ganesh didnt take any call. On Monday I was able to speak to him and he told me that information passed to him was wrong hence the activation didn’t happen over the weekend and hence the installation can be done now i.e., April 19, 2010
                              I told him that we are a working couple and hence cannot get installation done on a weekday. I asked him for a solution like a late evening installation. Which he categorically refused.
                              It was decided that the installation will be done on Saturday April 24, 2010
                              The whole weak I kept calling him to confirm time but he kept telling me that he will call back and inform which he never did.
                              On April 21, 2010 I was to come back home early by 1630hrs and I called him if he could send engineers for installation but he again refused.
                              On Saturday April 24, 2010, Ganesh neither took any call nor replied to any SMS of mine. We then contacted Balvinder (telephone number [protected]) who said that our installation has been delayed because billing through E-Zone is central and hence it takes many days for the local office (Mumbai) to receive the details. So the installation will be done by Monday April 26, 2010
                              I again told him that we are a working couple and cannot get the installation done on a weekday so requested him for an installation on April 24… He said that on April 24 it is not possible but he will make sure it happens by April 25 (Sunday)
                              On Sunday he also stopped taking calls and sent an SMS that the request has been forwarded to the relevant department.

                              Although I am writing this - I am sure there will be no reply from Airtel to this complaint…

                              Airtel DTH sucks. I am from chennai. Have airtel mobile, broadband. I liked their service and trusted that the same would happen in Airtel DTH connection too. Even though i paid Rs 2640, 5 days back, still the installation didn't take place. Virti Infocom and Airtel jointly cheats customers. Airtel don't want to take responsibility for their dealers. Then who will take care ?

                                There was AL Cricket number in the mobile I bought. Once, I just tried what this is, it just started pouring SMS update of cricket status with money deducted for each SMS.

                                I used the method STOP to 121 followed by 1 as response to 1210 and this is only service active. Response message says that there are no service active on your airtel number. But I continue to receive the cricket nuisance SMS and the money keep getting deducted. Looks like the software that controls this is BUGGY. Please see and disable immediately.

                                  I am getting a problem from last 2 days actually my sim card registration hasbeen finished on 23/04/2010. Before getting my sim card expired customer care staff had not given me any sms of validity recharge my no.is [protected] & i want to convert it on a life time prepaid card so which recharge i want to do on my mobile?

                                    I have mobile number [protected] of your company in my wife's name. On 3 march
                                    2010 i went to your office at Bhadhaur House Market in Ludhiana along with my
                                    wife to disconnect the number as we donot require it any more.

                                    Your officer Ms Simmi suggested that we get nubmer converted to prepaid which
                                    we accepted as incoming will be free on it till 2015 as Airtel has license for
                                    it. She took ID proofs ,photogarphs and form from us to change the post paid
                                    connection to pre-paid.

                                    She took Rs.550/- from me as amount due on phone to stop post paid connection
                                    and Rs.244/- as advance for prepaid recharge. She told me to come on Monday for
                                    recharge.I also gave her my nuber for contact which she filled on form.

                                    On tuesday(6 march 2010) i went to your office and she told me it is not
                                    converted into prepaid and to come back in two days.

                                    On 10/04/2010 i went to your office for same. Ms. Simmi told me i had deposit
                                    Rs.50/- for sim and 200/- for security and activtion.
                                    When i asked her what are charges for she said it is process.
                                    I told her since i was not told about before i am not interested in same so she
                                    should return money i had given as advance and documents i had given for
                                    processing.She refused to do so saying it is company policy as money was used
                                    by Airtel.When i told her that she had taken Rs244/- as advance for recharge
                                    not as processing fee, she replied she never said so.
                                    I am attaching the slip she gave me on which she has clearly written adv for
                                    [protected].

                                    On requesting for email id for filling complaint she asked me call helpline .
                                    She refused to give e-mail id. Mr. Sunil Arora his collegue asked me in abusive
                                    langauge to sit near door and call helpline. When i told him i will talk to Mr.
                                    Gaurav (Branch manager )
                                    and Mr. Bhalla(area supervisor for agencies ) of his vulgar language.
                                    He said Mr. Gaurav is not in office and Mr. Bhalla is a dog who lives on there
                                    throwways.

                                    While i was talking on my cell phone Ms. Simmi came to me with a handset and
                                    asked me to call from it, which i refused as i was trying 121 from cell.She
                                    again asked me not to file written complain. On which i told her i think she
                                    had used money i gave as advance herself and now is trying to fool me for
                                    paying once again.

                                    With in 5 minutes Mr. Lekhi(owner of showroom) came and started slapping me and
                                    he asked two of his emloyees to hit me as i shouldnot file complaint against
                                    them.

                                    Then they called police and tried to frame me for using abusive langauge with
                                    Ms. Simmi and breaking phone at her desk.

                                    Police didnot file complain as they were informed by shopkeepers of the area
                                    that though Ms. Simmi is maried but she has close relations with Mr. Shiv that
                                    is why he physically assualted me though he was not even in office. Also she
                                    has habbit of behaving badly as she is a charaterless person and is close to
                                    Mr. Lekhi.They are creating derogatory environment in neighbourhood by there
                                    acts.

                                    When police asked her what i have said to her she replied ask her collegues as
                                    she is not aware of anything.She is just afraid that her husband will be aware
                                    of her job now.
                                    Police made her appolozise to me later on.

                                    Also it was found by Police that i have never made any calls from your
                                    helpline. Mr. Sunil Arora removed the antena from top and said it was broken by
                                    me to frame me.
                                    Mr. Lekhi told police that i broke phone at Ms simmi's desk but Simmi told
                                    police i had taken phone outside office and broke its anteena on road.

                                    Later on Mr. Lehki gave me number of Ms Simi ([protected]) and said i can call
                                    her for any service free of charge if i compromise in front of Police..

                                    Is this how you train how to handle customers and enhance relations by
                                    physically abusing them to stop from complaining and then offer number of our
                                    female employees for services????

                                    This sort of behavour is not expected by representatives of company of your
                                    repute.

                                    Request you to look into matter and i donot want number converted to prepaid
                                    and since i have made full payment on 3/march/2010 i donot want to continue
                                    with it .Pls refund advance payment for recharge that has been taken form me
                                    along with documents.
