I am a resident of Indore City, Software Engineer by profession. I want to move your attention on Barclay Bank credit card offering methods to customers in Indore city by telecallers.

From last two days some telecallers from Barclay bank calling me for credit card. I said to all of them that i already get call from your bank for credit card & they all said that please give your documents to our executive. I am totally confused that to whom i gave the documents. Today one of executive come from your bank and just take my signatures on some forms, when i asked him about rest of the details, he said that you get a call from bank & they will ask about the rest of the details. But i am waiting but there is no phone call from Barclay bank. The executive which is come for documents asked me to mail my credit card statement(other bank credit card) on some mail id '[protected]@yahoo.co.in' for verification. Also your bank executive doesn’t having any ID Proof of Barclay Bank.

On same day(i.e. today) i received another 2-3 calls from your banks about the credit card & i said that i already provide the documents to executive, then they are blaming me that why are you provide documents to that executive, we are sending you our executive. Each time a new telecallers calling & saying that we are sending our telecallers. How can i rely on your bank executives.
I am getting call from these numbers +[protected], +[protected], [protected]

I have given my important documents to your executive, i don't know if he is executive of your bank or not. I am already using Credit Cards of ICICI, SBI, UTI & HDFC banks, but i never face this type of inconvenience.

I am very much dissatisfied from Barclay Bank services. They have to improve their telecallers. I know that Barclay Bank is very Big brand. But these type of inconvenience loose customers. In my office daily your telecallers call for credit cards, but no one is interested in your credit cards, because telecallers does not have ability to convince the customers. They not able to tell the facilities given by your bank's credit card. We have to ask them that what are the features of your credit card.

Hi,
I am surprise to see the communication gaps between the customers and bank employee.
I have already commplaint two three times but still they are not clarifying my complaints.
This is the poor service of the bank.My query was I have already made all dues well before the
due date but still calculating some charges.How and Why?

The same happening with me.
They are charging extra for every transaction, they are charging for cheque picking, and their customer care is have no idea about any thing. Fully fraud bank.

Barclays card didnt provided proper drop boxes address,
Customer care no.s given along with cards were not working.
so I missed the time limit of 50 days even after that when they made contact to me I paid 120 Rs. extra.
Now they are continuously irritating by sms's and recorded phone calls.
As per their advice I mailed an email to them.
Initially it was auto replied, but now it is getting bounced back probably they might have block my email address / or marked it as spam.
When their representatives call they listen the whole matter and then keep on hold and then disconnect without any reply.
It was a height when I received a recorded call on 9th July 2008 at 03:00 hrs in night, which disturbed me a lot.
They agree about their fault but never agree to wave undue penalties imposed.
I am willing to approach Consumer forum, if again they will irritate me like this.
Please provide me the contact numbers for Barkeley Bank. I want to open an account.
From Last 15 days i am getting repeated calls from these nombers

it will be silent for hours together

If I lift and keep a side it will be connected only for 24 hours also

Today I done a call to tata services and got the information

Their automated calls and collections department are irritating by making calls to me for 50 paisa...i logged a complaint with their customer care somewhere arnd 15 days back and they said i will never receive any calls in near future, but the problem persists...the service centre folks are like total dunce...they dont even know how to talk...I fail to understand how can one make a payment of 50 paisa...shall i drop a check to them for this small amount..i am sure banks will not honour this...or should i walk down to their only centre in delhi in nehru place to deposit 50 paisa..the bank and its services sucks big time...they dont even have a proper software setup and half the time their system is under maintenance...Sundays u dont find their managers in the call centre..even a sehkaari bank will be working better then this bank.

    Dear All,

    Request you to never ever go for barclay credit card. the customer care people are so rude to talk and once to use the card you would be trapped. I have very bitter experiance with them.
    I called customer care before my payment date to collect the cheque for payment as i was unable to find their payment drop box. they directly refused even i was ready for cheque collection charges. after due date i got call for payment, then somebody came and I paid the whole amount.

    after some time they I again got call for the Late payment fee of rs.500, whey i requested for waiver of that they never bothered and start calling more than six seven times in a day. and started harrassing.I paid another Rs580 for that. I am fed up with this card. I am using several card of other bank from last five years but never got such responces from anyone .

    Threatening and Torturing through Goonda by Barclays Bank.

    Dear Sir,

    This is to inform you that I am the Credit Card Holder of Barclay Bank, they have not sent the statement for last 01 year inspite of several request only because of raise the late payment fees, service charges etc. That’s why the amount will be high . But suddenly they have hired a Goonda named as Mr. Walia from Delhi and asking for full amount immediately . How can I make the payment immediately? and threatening and torturing me over mobile Phone and land line phone. Not only that He has told me that I will kill your family. What is this ???. Bank cannot do this legally this type of harassment. My purchase amount most probably for Rs.8000/- to 9000/- approximately. He is disturbing my Employer also., that will effect in my service. I am a very middleclass family. I am agree to pay the minimum amount due in monthly basis. I am asking for statement But he is denied to give me the statement .Continuously he is telling me to make the payment otherwise they will attack me with their team. Please help me from Goonda of barclay bank. Only because of raising late payment fees and service charges and to raise the higher bill, the they have made this type of incident. I am 100% agree to pay the minimum amount due against my total outstanding. Gradually I will pay the amount to Bank., but not at a time. Please avoid Goonda which has veen hired by Barclay bank that is completely illegal.

      I have been a regular payer of all my dues on time. Once I was charged late fees even though I paid my dues before time. They reverted those charges later.
      The bad day of 16th February. I get a call from A vendor of Barclaycard telling me he is offering me Priority Card Membership. I would get special status I would get free trips I would get freebies. I was suspectant of this service hence I asked him what abt if I am not happy with the service. He told me I can revert the service incase I am not happy within one month.
      After than day I was charged priority membership fees. Feeling elited I kept calling Barclaycard customer care nobody responded to my call. I kept calling the Prority Membership No nobody responded. My accnt was charged with rs 5700 and after that every month they charged me later payment and debit interest over it.
      I am today a priority card member who has made thousands of complaints. Nobody listens it nobody gives me service. I asked for cancellation of the service in the first month itself it never happened. Today this is the consecutive 3rd month my accnt has been charged with Priority Membership Fees and Debit interests on the same.
      I have lodged 1000nds of complaints. To remove my membership. They made me compulsorily a elite member to extract money from me. And now they are charging me the debit interest for the services I never got.
      Barclaycard is extremely bad bank. They have no customer care. They have zero relationship Management. They charge your accnt with unknown charges and then charge debit interest over it. Shame on them. My request to everybody is get out of Barclaycard ASAP otherwise you may be another customer getting into my loop.
      I curse the day when I accepted the priority membership. That is the fateful day when my dues started and today then want to extract 7000rs from me for no services rendered.
      My humble request to all users is please dont accept any offers from Barclaycard. and my request to barclay card people is there should be some care shown to their customers atleast those who have been regular payers.
      I feel duped out of life. I feel Barclays is the bank which is India only to extract money out of Indians for no cause. Everybody please be aware.
      The last resort remaining for me is Consumer Court. Today even if they remove my membership and close my accnt I would be happy person. Shame of all such banks and their fraudulent practices and extremely painful customer management

      I have applied for barclay credit some around Feb 08. and same card is confirm but credit card is till today not received. But SMS is come from barclay bank regarding reduction in limit etc. Phone No. given by them is either suspended or engage.
      I have got a credit card of Barclaycard in May 2008, and i didnt get any statement of account till date. I would like to get a copy of the same every month. Kindly sent me the latest statement of account in the following address:

      Barclays credit card (Visa) — Fake Charges and Forced offers

      I have been using Barclay Credit card from three months . last month on 16 Aug 2008 dated 17th Aug 2008, I dropped a cheque of rupees 6560 at Braclays drop box in Lucknow. Due date of payment was 22nd Aug 2008 . There was almost a week's time to as to my cheque has to be cleared. But when I recieved my monthly statement I was shocked to see that I have been charged rupees 976 as late fee charges . I spoke to the Customer care executive and he wasnt able to expain as to why these charges were billed. Another cust care exec said that pick up facility was not available for 16, 17 and 18. Whatever the case it may be but I was not responsible as I made the payment timely. I have mailing to service @barclays.com regularly from 7th september but there was no response from Barclays. They sent me a new statement which is now due on 22nd september including the charges. I was so much mentally harassed that I tried to speak to the customer care representative but no response.
      Secondly, yesterday I recieved a call from Barclays priority circle which offered me some kind of a bag and discount in some selected outlets. For that they will charge me rupees 6000 as they said whicj will reflect in my next statement . I refused to take the offer and told the executive that I want to surrender the card as I have been charged wrongly. Cust care Representative Mr Robin from Barclays took my card details and when I was I talking about the problems he hanged up. Later I again called me up the customer care I came to know that they have given me that offer and it cannot be cancelled. I was so much dissappointed as it was clear that Barclays was doing fraud with me. I am still mailing and calling them but not getting any response
      Barclay card customer care executives dont know whether cheque pick up facility is avaialble or not.

      That bank has only put some unskilled employees and on top of that some unprofessional collection partners. If any body want to make money plz contact barclaycard they will give you collection work and make money out of it.

      I agree might be big bank out of India, but if they are comming to India learn banking from ICICI or may be State bank.

      Thank to these renowned banks that we are not facing that bad slowdown effect as that of in the countries where Banks like Barclays are functional.

      Worst bank I have ever seen. Unprofessional.

      Sir,
      I am a handicapped person, residing at the above mentioned address was holding a CREDIT CARD f Barclay's Bank in the month of 'February 2008', which was not used by me as it was not activated by the bank.During the 1st week of November 2008 my card was lost and I immediately informed bank and my card was blocked.After that there were some offers from the bank for some purchases from some Retailers, tourists Place and Hotels.As I was not holding the card I had Informed bank that I am not interested in any offer.After that instead of cancelling the offer the bank is sendin the 'E.C.S f Rs.3097/-(THREE THoUSAND AND NINTY SEVEN)every month from November 2008.I had already complaint several times to the customer care of the bank, but I did not get any response from their side.
      The bank is still forcebly taking money from my bank account through E.C.S system which is a case of FRAUD AND CHEATING.A case of CHEATING AND FRAUD UNDER SEC 420 WILL BE FILED BY ME AND AND ALSo WHY NVT THE LICENSE oF BARCLAY'S SHoULD BE CANCELLED FoR CoLLECTING MoNEY.
      I have also recieved a letter from the bank dated 12th December 2008 that the offer can not be cancelled.Hnce the bank is playing a role of gangsters like DAWOOD IBRAHIM AND ABU SALEM as it is forcebly collecting money and making MISSUSE of the E.C.S system which they provide to thir customers for their customers benefit.
      Hence if no immediate action is taken by the Governer within, I will have to approach to the court of Law for the same.

      I agree with most of the readers that Barclays bank is ripoff bank. The experience i had with Barclays is just ripp off the customer.I was intially given a credit limit of Rs 50, 000 during the slowdown perioed they had cut my credit limit to RS 10000 without any notification.Reducing ur credit limit to Rs 10000 is peanuts and then they put a fine of Rs 500 for over credit limit charges when i exceeded the overlimit by just Rs 500.I have paid more on interest and late payment charges then the Credit limit of Rs 10000.cheats my humble advice to all is to disengage any kind of relation from the Barclays the Ripoff Bank.

        I applied for a Barclay's credit card and soon after it, i received calls from customer care for confirmimg my details. They also managed to convince me for an add on card. Now the irony begins when I received the pin codes for the credit cards but the credit card still didn't reached me. And moreover if I call on a customer care # the executive provides me with a new customer care # and sounds so incooperative.
        These guys need to understand the criticality of the issue.

          CARD NO. [protected]

          I have been receiving erroneous bills showing fictious outstanding amounts. I have paid all the expenses incurred from the above card well in time ! However, from Jan.08 to May'08, I have been receiving statements with increasing amounts every month although I have not used the card at all in the first place. I have lodged complaints with phone banking executives at least 5-6 times. Each time they responded that there was no expense visible that I was to pay. Each time they also promised to correct in the ensuing statement. However, this never happened and I am continuously pressurised to pay an amount that is not incurred by me.

          Similarly, I have brought this to the attention of the bank several times (8 mails) and each time I was responded saying that the matter is under investigation and we will revert. I wonder, in a simple case like this, why should it take months ? I AM ONLY ASKING TO SHOW THE AMOUNT PENDING AGAINST AN EXPENSE INCURRED ON THE CARD.

          3 weeks ago somebody from the bank called up to inform that it was a billing error and no payment is pending from my side. The next month bill was to reflect zero outstanding. To my horror, the latest bill shows an increased outstanding.

          If this error is not amicably resolved, I wish to contact bank ombudsemen. As a customer of Barclays in UK, I had very pleasant impression until the credit statements (in India) have started bothering.

          I can furnish all the names, dates, times of phone banking executives to whom I spoke. Similarly I can forward all email exchanges till date, wherein I have furnished all the information.

          IN A NUTSHELL, I AM CONVINCED THAT NONE IN THE BANK IS EMPOWERED TO TAKE REVERSAL OF PENDING AMOUNTS - EVEN IF IT IS ERRONEOUS BILLING FROM THE BANK. I ALSO INTEND TO FORWARD THIS CASE TO CONSUMER FORUMS THROUGH PRESS DRAWING ATTENTION TO THE BILLING ERRORS AND A GREATER LAXITY TO MAKE SPEEDY CORRECTION.

          Barclays Credit Card — You are not given me, what you committed

          Dear Sir,

          I am raj gupta.I am credit card holder of Barclays bank credit card.
          Barclay card launch Barclay priority member life cycle program with cost of Rs.5000 on Jan08.
          And offer this plan Holiday package and Leather travelling bag.
          I have taken this plan and paid all amounts in Jan08-Feb08.But now I am getting only holiday packages and till now haven’t got Travel Leather Bag. I forward this complains to Barclay customer care about this thing and talk to senior member of customer care many times. Senior member told me that thing would be solved within 7 working days.
          But problem still exists.
          Please take needful step for solved my problem.

          Barclays Credit Card — Payment and statement

          They are not sending the statements, even after requesting the customer care.But every month they are charging latepayment cahrges + tax, interest+tax. It comes nearly Rs.1000/- per month.
          Clearly requested with the customer care to send the statement for 3 months.Still now they didn't send the statement, but they are keeping on calling and giving torches to me.

          Barclays Credit Card — Unjustified billing amount

          Dear Concern,
          This is regarding a complaint against credit card of barclays which i am using, Credit Card no - [protected] Name of the card holder - Mohit Arora This is regarding that the statement that i get last to last month is carrying late payment fees, which i dont want to pay bcz i had already made a complete payment to barclays on 6th aprill 2008 (That i had drop a cheque >on 6th april 2008 on your skypak drop box) then i get a next card statement which is carrying late pay charges. Then regarding this i made a call in barclays customer care on 17/05/2008 to waive this off, so one of an executive Mr Amit told me i had forwarded your request, and you get a mail with in 2 days that your late pay charges are waived off and your next bill will be generated as nil, but now i recd the next stmt carrying more chargesthen i shocked. As this is not my fault that whenever they recd my payment, i dont know this is due to there payments counters, and due to there leanleness and i am not able to pay any amount to barclays, as i got so much miscommitment from there side, i cant pay a single penny, I am very shocked with a barclays credit card service, there is no reply from last approx 1 month, so pls request you to pls help me out from this problem to cancelled mine updated charges i.e 1308.35 till date, [protected] Regards Mohit Arora

          Barclays Credit Card — Credit card payment

          Dear Sir/Madam,

          I'm holding the Baclays Credit Card. I had made the visa payment of Rs. 10, 000 on 9th July 2008, but this payment has not relected in my July's credit card statement. I logged a complaint in customer care by giving the RBI reference number. Cutomer care executive told me that they will resolve this issue within 4 working days and will issue a fresh account statement and also told me not to pay the due amounts. Before few days I got a leagal notice and also getting phone calls to make the payment immediately. When I again called up the customer care, they told me that they are still working on the complaint. I'm planning to log the complaint agianst Barclays bank in Consumer Court. Will you please advice me on it?

          After regular follow ups with customer care executives based at Gurgaon office. I was told by Mr. Prashad, Office of Head Service
          Barclays Bank PLC India, that within 07 days I will be receiving call from concern deptt. and my bill will be get corrected, but I did not receive any call from your concern deptt. till date (15 days has gone)

          Yes, I received current month Bill dtd. 21 Oct, which contains late payment fee against last payment.

          See, Untill the bill corrects, I am contiously receiving Server Based Calls and SMSs which deturb me a lot.

          This is really not fair.

          I got a message that my card is dispatch through blue dart
          But till now i have not get my card and any call related to this issue from any one.
          I had made some call to the customer care center but did not get the response.
          so I think i don't want any card from this bank and please return my all documents

            I AM NOT RECIEVING STATEMENT FROM LAST 10 MONTHS EVEN THEN I AM PAYING THE DUES. BUT EVERY TIME I AM GETTING CHARGED THE LATE FEES & INTEREST CHARGES FOR THE FAULT OF BANK. EVERY TIME I USE TO GET PHONE CALLS & HARRASEMENT FOR THE PAYMENT & EXECUTIVES SAYS OUR COLLECTION BOY WILL COME & COLLECT PAYMENT BUT AFTER FEW DAYS I USE TO GET REPLY THAT WE DON'T HAVE SERVICE IN YOUR AHMEDNAGAR CITY WHICH IS A DISTRICT PLACE & THEY USE TO ASK WHERE IT IS LOCATED WHICH IS IN THE MAHARASHTRA STATE ITSELF. TODAY I HAVE RECIEVED ONE CHEQUE BACK BY POST WHICH I HAD SENT TO BANK AGAINST THE PAYMENT ISSUED ON 31/03/08 FOR RS.15064/-. POST HAS GIVEN THE REASON OF "REFUSED" BY BANK. EVERY TIME MY CARD GETS BLOCKED WITHOUT INTIMATION WHICH SPOILS MY IMAGE AT THE MERCHANT STORE.

            Barclays bank PLC — Credit card statement not sent, but interest and other fee charged

            I got this Barclays bank card in october 2007. I started using the card from december 2007. Till date(17th April 2008) I have not received a single statement neither by post, nor by mail. They don't have online banking also, they don't have telephone banking also. How will i come to know the transactions? they kept pestering me to make the payment. I refused saying that i wanted to see the statement. Four times the representative came to my office to collect minumum payment, but without a statement. Later i gave him only the minimum payment.
            later after a couple of months in March 2008 with frequent calling to the bank, the customer service person mailed me the soft copy of the old bills. When i questioned about the late payment fee and the interest, he replied saying that nothing can be done by them. I asked them to raise a complaint, they said that its not posible. He was also speaking rude.
            In january 2008 i was assured from the collection department by monica[protected] that non-delivery of the statement is the banks problem and i will not be charged for the late payment fee and the interest. But i was charged. Till date i have repayed all the amount which i transacted. And i even paid the interest for the month of March, since i knew what the transactions were and i made only a part payment.
            Now i have not paid the remaining late payment fee and also the interest which was included without my consent.
            When i was shifting my residence on 1st March 2008 I asked the bank to update my address for sorrespondence. but they replied saying that i need to send a post to a P.O Box in delhi. I requested them to send a person to my office to collect the address proof, but they denied.
            While giving the card, the representative came to my office ofr more than 10 times to colect the supporting documents. For the minimum payment he came four times in a week.
            Please take necessary action on the Bank and try to close the bank, so that the other Indian customers are not affected by them.
            AM NOT RECIEVING STATEMENT EVEN THEN I AM PAYING THE DUES. BUT EVERY TIME I AM GETTING CHARGED THE LATE FEES & INTEREST CHARGES FOR THE FAULT OF BANK. EVERY TIME I USE TO GET PHONE CALLS & HARRASEMENT FOR THE PAYMENT .AND LAST TIME WHEN I DID MY PAYMENT I GOT A MESSAGE THAT MY CHEQUE HAS BOUNCED BUT .IN MY A/C I HAD ENOUGH FUNDS. LATER THE SAME CHEQUE WAS CLEARED.AND THEN AGAIN GOT THE CALLS SAYING THT YOU ARE HAVING SO MUCH PENDING PAYMENT . THIS MONTH ALSO I DIDNT GET ANY STATEMNT. LAST TIME WHEN I GOT A CLALL FROM bSANK I ASKED THEM TO SEND STATEMNT TO MY iD . THAT GUY SAID HE WILL SED IT AND WILL CALL AFTER THAT. BUT TILL NOW ID IDNT GET ANY CALL FROM THEM . PLZ HELP.

            Barclays Bank — Non-Delivery of Card statement/necessary late payment charges

            I am a Barclays Credit Card customer from November 2007 and i am sorry to say i have only come across problem from the time i have taken this card.

            I stay in Bangalore every month i drop my credit card payment cheques in CMH road TITAN SHOWROOM in the skypack drop box but this month without any information they have taken of the skypack drop box from that location, i went to the CMH Road branch to drop my cheque before my due date on 19th June as i always do but the CMH road TITAN SHOWROOM Officials said that Barclays bank has taken off there drop box from there, they said to check it out in the other nokia showroom near Tipsandra(2 kilometer away), i went there but there also i could not find any skypack box, Next day i called Barclays bank they said drop it in other drop box which is in 100 FT road (Kotak mahindra), i went there after my office but the security guard said to come next day as they close by 7 pm and the next day instead of lot of commitments on that day i dropped my cheque and also informed the bank about the whole incident but surprisingly they charged me a late fee of Rs 500+service tax Rs 61.80 when i called them back they say i have done late payment and accoding to company policy they wont revert back the late fee and i also like to add not reciveing statements are very common senerio with this bank today is 18 th july and my statement date is 22 nd July but still i have not received the statement

            ***I would like to ask how can a bank do like this, as a customer i have the "Right to information", if they have changed the spypack box address why they have not informed me why i have to run and search for ther drop box
            ***why are they charging customer's unnecessarily, they are bluffing and cheating the loyal customers
            ***plz look in to this matter there should be some to stop them from doing whatever they want.

            On droppping a my cheque in favour of Barclays Bank PLC, at gangadeshwaram koil street chennai drop box on[protected]. After dropping the Cheque well before the due date bank is continuously sending the statement demanding the Late Fee, tax and Interest. After dropping the cheque how can customer come to know about the cheque? he can know only when his/her account has debited.             I want to make my credit card payment by EMI, need to know the process, please mail me on [protected]@gmail.com, bcoz i have not got good response from customer care and the number provided by them are not valid, when i called that number i got the response as that person has quit the job. I feel Its better to mail instead of calling them everytime

            Also i need online login id for credit card so that we can check the status and transaction of the payment.

            I had applied for the card in Jan. After telling 5 to 6 times to send the card on my office address, they sent it to home address. They had called me 6 times just to confirm my personal information. The card was sent in working day. I was not available. It went back directly to mumbai. After calling one cusomer care number, they asked me to call another number. After calling another number, they asked me to call the first number. Later I had to shout on them. Then i got the card in 15 days.

            As per the rule, if we do not make a payment within time, they should charge us the interest. But here we need to pay the late payment fee. That also, they don't give an intimation while applying. It is unnecessary I believe.

            Also, my eBanking is not working and they do not have cash payment in the city. One cash payment center is out of the city. So it is really inconvenient to go there. If they want to place the cash payment facility, they should place it at reacheble location in the city so that a common person who does not use eBanking can use it.

            This is to inform you that I am the Credit Card Holder of Barclay Bank, they have not sent the statement for last 01 year inspite of several request only because of raise the late payment fees, service charges etc. Thats why the amount will be high . But suddenly they have hired a Goonda named as Mr. Walia from Delhi and asking for full amount immediately . How can I make the payment immediately? and threatening and torturing me over mobile Phone and land line phone. Not only that He has told me that I will kill your family. What is this ???             I strongly agree with you as I have been through the same hell due to Barclay's Bank which is not worthy to be called a Bank. I think that our RBI is sleeping and allowing these foreign banks to screw Indians. They seem to have not learnt anything from the Britishers ruling us for 150 years. I have learned one thing for sure. We can post anything anywhere complaining whatever but no one in India will bother to help us. If a guy commits suicide due to this, then our news channels wake up and so do our so called authorities and then there are false promises of taking action. All are corrupt so nothing can be done.               This is reminder of prior complaint of 17 Apr and regarding your reply on 22 apr.i had not received any positive response.I have received call from priority circle on[protected] in morning and in this, the executive told me that he would definetily cancelled my priority circle charge the following was the detail of my calls to customer care executive
              to surekha 27/3/2008 at 4 pm

Instead of deducting membership fees bank had levied interest on the same although matter is under processing .
              I have a barclay credit card no 433*********973 i have complaint about ur priority circle fee of Rs 5000 in statement of march 2008. actually on 26/02/2008 at 5.00 pm i had received many calls from your priority circle for taking membership . In these calls I asked them to give me sometimes to think but they insist me that this was the last day to take membership. Due to network problem the call were disconnecting in betweens communication Finally the call was disconnected while verification was in progress .after 15 minuts near about 6.00 pm (ist) i had called your custmer care no [protected] from my phone number and ask not to given any membership and not to deduct charges, executive assure me that he had taken my complaint and no charges would deduct .after some days (near about 5-6 days )i inquired my outstanding it had shown about Rs 7320 and in this fees for priority circle was included. since then i had made many times complaint to custmer care and priority circle by my phone and even before and after preparing the statement for march but no action was taken only assurace were given so kindly do needful because it will reate a bad effect on barclay reputation and i felt it like a trap for customer . my priority circle fees was deducted on 03/03/2008 even after complainting on 26/02/2008 and after giving assurance of not to deducted fees by customer care executive on 26/02/2008
              So kindly return my priority circle fees and reverse the service tax and interest which was levied on this fees

              i was getting so namy calls to ake this offer for 2 months saying that they will provide 30 % discount on outstanding balance.when ever he used to call me i used to make sure is it on all the transactions. he said yes.
              I was charged around Rs.5618/-for the priority barclaycard in which 30 percent discount was promised on any purchase with this credit card.
              but now if i call up customer care they say its on only selected transaction. and they give other number to contact . where they wont receive at all..

              Y the hell they give this offer if they r not sure what offer they r giving while convincing the customer.

              its one way of cheating the customer, to make the use of that card.
              I am the latest sufferer of the cheating done by Barclay Card People. I got a call last month from Baclays about the free membership of Priority Circle. So i agreed to join, but on the condition that there will be no chagres of any kind.               I am a Barcklaycard Times card holder and i have also been duped thoroughly by Barclaycard in the name of Priority circle membership. They said on phone that it is a priviledge offer from Barclaycard as they have completed one year in India and is totally free. they also talked about that i am supposed to get 30% cash back on anything i buy for a whole one year! later when i complained about my account being charged of Rs. 5000/-, they said that they have gone thru their audio recordings and that i have been informed about the charges! it seems quite clear that with all audio and other documents in their hands we have no reason to beleive that Barclaycard officials are all decendants of RAJA HARISHCHANDRA!

              Dear Sir,

              I am bringing this matter second time in your kind notice on last occasion a reverse mail was received by me assuring that Bank would take up the matter and do something in the customer favour. But I am sorry to say that I am repeatedly receiving the Barclay Account Statement with same errors and imposing late fee and other unjustified charges. I took this matter with your customer executive ( Ms. Deepa ) on phone but she shown her inability to do something. I resubmit the entire matter again that on the persistent pursuance I was agreed to take Barclay credit card as I was told that my credit limit would be Rs. 3 lakh with corresponding cash limit but When I received card I found that credit limit of credit card is just 15000/- instead of Rs. 3 lakh, this was first lie from the Barclay Representative. Secondly I was told by the representative that if I withdraw cash from any ATM Barclay associated bank, there would be no interest or any charges for first 45 days thereafter nominal interest charges would be claimed. (This is second lie). On 25.6.2008 I withdrew Rs. 6000/- from ICICI Bank ATM Delhi University through Barclay card. Soon after withdrawing Rs. 6000/- from the ATM, Rs. 508.86 had been imposed with various charges with in 2 days of withdrawal. (This is the third lie from the bank) I brought this injustice to the notice of bank immediately when I received the Statement. I clarified and asserted that I would not make the payment of these unjustified charges which bank had imposed. On 8th August 2008, I deposited a cheque for Rs. 6200/- ( 6000+200(as debit interest + service tax etc.) in good gesture on the part of customer in Sky pack at shakti Nagar Delhi. Even making payment on due date i.e. ( on 8.8.2008) Rs. 500 was levied as late fee and another statement for the period 19-8.2008 to 19.9.2008 was dispatched to me showing a balance of Rs. 1659.37/- despite the fact I had paid Rs. 6200/- vide cheque dated 5.8.2008 on 8.8.2008 Bank’s designated skypack.

              Sir, as I have already clarified that I will not make any more payment against unjustified and unreasonable charges being levied on the customer by this way or that way. It appears that despite sending email, talking on phone, bank is not responding positively, nor is the Barclay bank reserving these unjustified charges; Bank is adopting arbitrary practice in banking Industry. It is quit clear that bank is violating all norms and rules. Because when the representative of Barclay bank makes promise is not kept up is violation of terms and condition on the part of the bank but not on the part of the customer. I am just highlighting those things which were told to me and are not being adhered to by the bank itself. By this email, I also want to say I am surrendering the credit card by breaking it in many folds I would like to bring to the officer concerned to look into the matter and reverse these charges immediately. . In case, these charges are not reversed, I would be compelled to bring entire matter to Consumer Court along with legal expenses would be incurred in the proceedings along with harassment expenses.

But on 24/09/2008 my account reflected a charge of Rs. 5000/- along with a service tax of Rs. 618/-. So a total of Rs. 5618/- was charged in me for Priority circle membership. . I have tried number of times to contact Barclaycard Priority Circle Delhi and Mumbai but I could not get it. On dated 1/10/2008. I again contact Delhi & Mumbai and tell them I have not interested this membership because when he calls me he offered me this free of cost membership and as per the terms and condition of propriety circle . We already register our grievance/ Complain to priority circle Delhi & Mumbai service no.[protected] and[protected] to Ms MONICA dated 01/10/2008 about 10 :30 AM . also kindly refer term and condition .

              b. The participation of Cardholder(s) in the Program is voluntary and if a Cardholder(s)
              chooses not to participate in the Program, then he/she shall inform/intimate the Bank in thisregard within 21 days from the date of the amount has been debited to his card account, in the manner as indicated by the Bank at its sole discretion from time to time. In the event, a Cardholder(s) decides not to become member of the Program and has communicated the same to Bank within the 21 days mentioned above, then the Bank shall reverse such charges received
              from the Cardholder(s) provided that the Cardholder has not availed any benefit of the
              programme.

              Therefore again I inform you that I am not interested this offer. If you force me I will go for Consume Court and also lunch complain to RBI and Local Police Station . so that as term and condition

              I bought a ticket from New Delhi to Jammu on 12th of November from REDBUS.The journey was fixed on 16 th of November
              The amount of the ticket was INR1530.As it was for two persons Each Costs INR 750+Texes.

              The amount should be debited INR 1500+30=1530 but in my statement I find that the INR 1530 has been debited twice.

              redbus is saying that they did not taken out the amount twice if so they have refunded Attached a confirmation letter from them.

              Barclaycard — Harrasement

              I have this Card no.[protected] & I was very disappointed from the customer service. Some offers are offered to me regarding cash back & an amount of Rs 6000/- is being charged to my card. But I didn’t receive the hard copy of these offers. When I talk to priority services on 16th Dec 2008 for these hard copies, they told that they will inform me after 72 hrs about the decision. But till 26th of Dec there is no response from the bank. When I call again to the priority services on 26th Dec & told my decision of cancellation of these offers they told that there is no possibility of cancellation of these offers. They also say that recovery people are coming from recovery department for the recovery of amount that is charged to my card. How can I pay this amount when I didn’t receive the proper documents of these offers?
              So I decided to cancel my Barclaycard & I cut into four pieces and return to the customer care department.
              But till today the bank call me 3-4 times daily for the payment & told me the if I refuse to give the payment the recovery people will come for the payment.

              Barclaycard — Demand of payment for unwanted Gift Item

              I took Barclaycard while i was booking airticket. when i got my first bill, some additional amount was charged for which i enquired customer care. the representtive told me that apart from purchase, the bill contains amount for one gift item which will be sent to you. i strongly denied that i have ordered for the paid gift. the representative told that you should pay for the actual amount of purchase leaving the cost of gift. i paid that. then again calls were coming that i have to accept the gift. i refused all the times, then too they delivered item on my residence in when i was in remote area of maharashtra where the signal of my mobile is weal many times. when i came back to my home, it was shown to me. i didn't opened the item and the same is lying as it is. I again contacted and written mails to them that i don't want a gift of worth 6500/= and please take it back. they have made me sick by calling at least five to ten times a day. I am honest towards my financial duties and holding the cards of other banks too and i am paying them regularly. for this too i have paid for the items i purchased through that card. but now they are doing excessive. therefore, it is my request that please take strong action so that this kind of cheating to honest customers could be avoided. i am feeling cheated and therefore, i am making such complaint.

              They made me a member WITHOUT MY CONSENT-

              I am Dr.Rashmi, holding barclay card since last10months.Today 30/1/09 at 8.45p.m, I got a call from barclay personnel whether I have used my credit card which I replied no, but I was informed that 2 transactions of Rs.14059 each in name of essar telecom has been made by 8:00pm from my credit card that too online.that time I was asked to check my credit crd also.It was with me.My card details and other documents alngwith embossing was taken by one of the personnels from standard chartered bank I came to know that my card details have been used by him Personnel"s name is Mr. Naveen Domnic working in Dombivali branch of standard chartered bank. i asked barclay people to block my card.As I haven't used card, transaction should be stopped since it came into our knowledge right in the first hour.I kindly request you people to look into the matter and register the complaint against Mr. Naveen Dominic.His mobile no:is [protected].

              I am not, and have never been, and never want to be a customer of Barclaycard UK. I am a senior citizen and am harrassed by cold calls and sometimes calls when there is somebody there. They keep calling for a customer who owes them money (so they say). Against the Data Protection Act they gave me his name MOHIT SAGAR and although I said I wasn't him, they asked me for my 6 digit number. They are really a dreadful bank. After writing many recorded delivery letters, I received one from their Customer Relationship Manager (yes, they actually call him that!). It was a foolish letter, that Mr Richard Atkinson sent. He sent me a booklet for disgruntled clients! The calls continue and I am very tired from all this, I don't need it at my age and I am afraid. I have now written to the Omnisbudman, but I think it will be a waste of time as Barclaycard UK sent me the particulars. I am afraid they will work hand-in-hand. I really don't know. I have also contacted "Watchdog" on BBC 1 TV. Barclaycard UK are a horrible group, who are completely impersonal and have no ethics.

              Barclaycard — Being a Priority Circle member , Bad Quality of Service.

              HI was repeatedly called from dec08 to March 09 to get registered to priority circle or get converted to this scheme. After going through their complete details & accepting their terms they did not send me the card for these all months, But on march 27 09 on Guddi Padva this card drops in my place. The problem is now when I don’t need this card anymore, when i am calling all the number of Mumbai, pune, Delhi to cancel this card, the number replies to wait in queue as their executives are busy on all the three places. I tried these three places at different timing between 10 to 6pm as per the details on their website.
              How are we suppose to complaint regarding their services as the don't have a proper office in pune for the same? I had called their regular call center number, they say they cant helps, we need to contact the Priority circle number?

              Barclaycard — Harassment over payment of Services Not Availed

              Dear All,

              A few months back around Aug -2008, I received a call from Barclay Card executive telling me dreamy stuff regarding BarclayCard Priority Circle membership, for which I asked them If the same exists on paper also or not. I did recieve a confirmation call from BarclayCard, where I was told that I can cancel this plan within 21 days after receiving the hard copy of Membership.

              I received hardcopy after 21 days and found most of the item not mentioned any more, which was told at the time of applying for the same. I immediately asked for the cancellation of BPC membership and told the Customer Care executive that I will only for the actual expense made out of my BarclayCard Credit Card not for the BPC membership fees, and I actually paid for my actual expenses.

              I wonder, how a consumer can be at fault, if he doesn't receive the hard copy of documents in the specified duration.

              Since then, I have been getting recovery calls from BarclayCard agents and it feels so bad.

              Please let me know, How can I can bring those peoples to justice.

              I have a Barclay card. They called me to make me a member of their priorty circle for which i was to pay no money at all. They started charging me 7000/- Rs. from next month onwards. Despite many cancellation requests and even paying cancellation fees of Rs. 1500/- on 3 different occasions as guided by their different executives. Till today they are not accepting the cancellation requests and demanding full amount with interest and late fee charges. I have not availed any benefit under this membership. Moreover on sending them repeated emails they continued to send same replies and demanding me to pay the full amount of membership fees. I have never used the card.

The holiday vouchers The bank says that as per their records it has been delivered to my secretary at the residence, to which i told them that i dont have a secretary.
              Today also I spoke and this is the fifth time I called up and the same answer "we will get in touch"

              I am sandeep singh negi the card holder of Barclay credit card since one and half years. sir my payments of credit card was paid by me and the cunsulting person vishal give me commitment with 101% surety for reversable the over limit charges then i was online payment and give him transaction ID no. and he said that in next statement your overlimit charges will reversed. But now he tell that your charges is not be reversed.

              Pls do some suitable action with that, they not giving me possitive response on my complaints

              Barclaycard — Credit card fraud

              Dear Sir,

              I have a bacrlay credit card having number [protected]. I spent an amount of Rs. 3500 with this card around one and half year ago But I got a statement in next month of around Rs.11,000. I called them and came to know that they had given me a club membership. I asked them to remove my name from that membership and to send a fresh statement so that I can pay. But they did not rerespond and sent me another statement in the next month by adding late payment charges and interests. I did not pay anything and whenever their representatives were calling me, I told them to send the fresh statement by removing those extra charges. In this way, one day one of their representative called me and asked me to pay Rs. 1000 and he told me that after making this payment they will send a fresh statement by removing those extra charges. Accordingly I paid Rs. 1000 but got a statement in the next month in the same manner without removing those charges. Recently one of their representative again called me to pay Rs. 200 and gave me same hope. accordingly I paid Rs. 200 but nothing is happened. I called to the bank and got the feed back that the card is blocked and there is no option to resolve this issue. In the mean time I applied a loan in Standard Chartered Bank and the loan was not sanctioned for the first time in my life. I got the information that my name has been sent to CBIL by this Barclays Bank. I have home loan in HDFC Bank and I am paying the EMI-s regularly. I have also other credit cards and recently Standard Chartered offered me Platinum card for my good payment habit. I am working as the General Manager position in AMRI Hospital group. Is it possible for you to resolve this issue and can do something so that these banks can stop to harash the people like us ?.

              Barclaycard -Times Card — Excess charges on EMI amount

              This is with regards to my (Asif Parkar) Barclay Card No :- [protected]

              Please note that from past few months there has been a regular payments to Barclay Card that had been made by me and the sum of amount was more than the minimum amount which has been paid every month. In such case the amount EMI goes on increasing each and every month and also the amount of transaction that has taken place from the Barclay Card was double the amount that has been paid and still paying. I had spoken to few Customer Care Executive but with no proper solution each and every time they told me to wait for few months and the days and months passed away with few charges and still its continuing. So please help me on this situation as I am not willing to make payment or continue to go for extra charges which they had keep on adding into my account.

              Hope I will get right solutions for my problem with Barclay Bank

                I have recieved a barclays card and after a week PIN was also sent to me.But when I tried to use to it failed. When i called the call center and enquired they told me that my card is canceled as it was wrongly approved by them. Is that not strange why do issue a card and why do they cancel that.                 This is the Worst Card ever. Please dont take this card. They charge you for their mistakes and argue they are correct. I did not receive the bill and ended up dropping a cheque for 5300 which was 96rs less to the actual ammount wat i was supposed to pay and the bank charged me a fine of 200rs for not paying that 96rs. Does this make any sense, and best part was they were willing to lose a client for that 200 they needed badly!!! Dont take this card unless you wanna cheat the bank.

                  I have been charged Rs. 3770 from my account, and to me surprise i have been issued a ICICI lombard policy, what a bank with great services, they issue me a policy without my information, such a bug fraud conduct, they share my information with other financial institution without my permission, violation of KYC policy.
                  Also to add on there ridiculous customer service, without any toll free number, u are charged for every call and never get a solution to it, i have called so many times but no solution with there uneducated customer care executives, i have got the poilcy cancelled myself from ICICI and evrytime i call up barclays they are not doing even a single effeort inspite my mails and calls,

                  Now i have been charged with cncellation charges of policy after geting it cnacelled it myself and barclays have helped me in sneding a message please pay your amount by 26th may

                  I do not understand where should i go and speak so that i get a solution and my hardearned moeny is not been theft like this.

                  I have credit card with the barclay...i tried to pay my due amount through the cheque before the due date inorder to avoid the penalty ...i verified all the information and i posted the cheque in advance of 5 days...but they are saying that they didnt recive the cheque and they included the penalty amount in my payment...it has been a rediculous customer service ever.

                  Barclays/Times card — poor service and misleading

                  Dear Sir/Madam,

                  Few months back barclay representative has call me up and offered the Barclays times card and told me that along with the Credit card I will be getting Rs.5000 gift coupons with which I can go for shopping . I have agreed and applied for the credit card .I have received the Credit card. I have also paid the first payment on my credit card but as of now I have not yet received the coupons and no intimation about them. So please look into the matter very seriously and resolved the same at the earliest without delay.

                  Barclay Credit Card — Customer Service

                  I have registered a complaint to the Barclay Credit card customer service stating about the payment i have made on 22/12/2008 and called up the service and gave the reciept number to them and advised i would not like to get charged for the Late payment fees i was advised that it takes 4 days the payment to get credited into their a/c i have nothing do with the date and the time when the payment gets credited into their a/c My duty is to make the payment on before the due date which i have done, When i registered the complaint i was advised that i would get a call back from the consent department and i am still waiting i caled up customer service again to check the status and i was informed that the request is been declined when i asked i was not informed about the request been declined i was advised by the advisor it has nothing do with him why i am getting penalized for something which is not my problem and for my problem again i was advised a late payment charges will apply again instead of sorting out the problem i was advised i would be charged again ...
                  It seems a regular habit of barclays credit card officers to cheat and fool the card holders in different ways. I too am a victim. I have received my barclays card in june 2008 and along with the card received a set of discount vouchers all of these vouchers had a validity date only till july 2008. so obviously it is not possible for anyone to use their discount vouchers or offers available on card within one month . As a result all the vouvhers are unused and they refuse to give new ones with a longer valid perriod. This is the way they cheat and fool card holders.
                  Other cresit cards give voiuchers which are valid for atleat 6 months hwereas some are valid for one year . Barclays also should have kept a validity period of 6 months to one years. I think i want to discontinue using this card.

                  Barclays Credit Card — Card misuse

                  Hi

                  My barclay credit card is used by someone online without my concern, I informed the same to barclay credit card at the earliest when they had not released the payment for the same also mailed them dispute form filled and signed my me. They again asked me to sent the same at the PO Box address courier person did not accepted the letter because of PO address so I mailed it through post and m not having any acknowledgement for the same and barclay people say that they have not received any letter from me its already 24 days past since I mailed the letter to them. Know they are asking for the payment of the same,

                  Barclays Credit Card — Bad customer service

                  This is with reference to my credit card which I got complimentary and they offered a personal loan of EMI.....from the day I have taken this loan I am paying dues online on time...though I have signed a ECS form. But when I received my statement it will carry a late fee and other finance charges. Every time I used to call their customer care and request them to reverse these charges. They it will be done...then next month same story......for nine month i used to call them and get it corrected...when checked why this is happening every month, they don't have a ans. Later I signed my second ECS form. Still this problem is not solved. At last they done most disgusting thing. They blocked my card saying non payment. One of their collection executive came to my home and collected the cheque and told every thing is solved you can pay as normal. But later only I could know that that cheque is not presented nor cleared. Again same problem....even if I pay them its not going to reflect in their system...only pestering call will be there.....later I could know that they have outsourced for all service...that is why what one department does will not be known by other department...result customer like a fool will pay what ever they charge...till they like.

                    I submitted all necessary documents to open saving account in Barclay Bank. My account has opened but I did not receive my Barclay kit due to misprint address by bankers. Now my kit is in blue dart courier and they are saying I shall have to correct my address. I requested to banker to correct my address but they are saying I have to visit branch and write application to correct my address. Mistake is done by bankers and I am spending time to solve this problem why?. I have spent 2 hour and around 50 rupees to making call to bankers ( 4 time call to customer care each times I had to spent 15 minutes and tracking courier status) in last 4 days to resolve this problem

                    I applied for Barclay-yatra credit card, which i got very late.
                    then when i go it my offer of claiming free air ticket from yatra was over.
                    later in april 08 i shoped for Rs.690, now the irony was that i did not even got my statement by mail nor hard copy, but still i paid my cheque of Rs.690 and dropped it to the nearest skybox.
                    i dropped it 7 days before the due date.
                    the cheque got misplaced in between or did not reached them.
                    now thay have charged me fine for late payment.
                    now they are harassing me again and again and asking me to drop cheque again, now what is the gurantee that it will reach barclay again or they will keep charging me for late payment again n again.

                      I had applied for a credit card from Barclays. They had processed my application and i got my credit card on the 6th may 2008.

                      recently i went to a shop to purchase three TV for my fathers new house. Wile paying the BIll i found that my card was BARRED.

                      I thought it was not activated so I called the customer care. the Customer care officer told me that my application was cancelled but accidentally they passed my application. The most pathetic thing that I was told I would receive a letter regarding my cancellation.

                      I am not bothered why my application was cancelled. BUT I am furious on the fact that my credit card was BARRED without acknowledging me of the same.

                      their customer care officers call me to take a loan BUT they will never call to intimate on the fact that card was BARRED. I know for a fact that Barclays is not aware of the full usage of Customer care. their ignorance had caused me to rush to the nearest ATM to withdraw the money.

                      If I had known that my card was BARRED, I would have thrown away the card into the dustbin and got some cash from the ATM.

                      I will not recommend Barclays to anyone.
                      I had submitted application duly filled, your verification procedure was also done.
                      I received a SMS on my mobile No.[protected] informing that the application was received and they will revert
                      in 21 days. So far, the applied CREDIT CARD is not received. Hence this request. Please confirm urgently the position whether the card is being issued or not.

                      Alse let me know the procedure to cancel the application. I am stongly disagree with service.

                      The problem with June payment…

                      Step 1.
                      I have paid 40000/- amount in June month (as I used 40000 only ).
                      I have received a statement after that some charges, even I have deposited a cheque @ VBIT park Skybox 4 working days before.


                      Step2: I have received a bill after this with @ 2500/- amount. Several times I called to customer care and informed same. They are not taking my request. For that somebody called from Barclay, what they said If I pay 160/- they will settle the issue and close the card.
                      For this I I paid 160/- and I called to customer care people and informed the same. And Also send mail to Barclay with attached bill reference no. They said you have to clear the outstanding payment.

                      Step3: 2 days back I received a call from Barclay (Name: Majeed Syed) regarding payment, what he said just pay 240/- I will forward your request to our people. And also contact my customer care people they will settle your account.

                      Now you tell me what I have to do. This is the last mail to Barclay.

                      Don't take barclays Creditcard.

                        I have applied for a credit card 1/05/08, and haven't received any kind of communication from the bank on approval / disapproval of the same. My & My friend Application no. AA 3474904 & AA 3474903. The bank reps confirm to deliver cards or respond on status within 12 business days, I have contacted the bank several times, but apparently none have clue about it apart from a vage answer that, " They will get back to us within 2 business days". All i have to say is please atleast confirm the cancellation of the process so that, we have a peace of mind.

                        I have applied for the Barclays gold credit card 50 to 60 days ago and since then i have not recieved any communication regarding the status of the same as whether card application is approved or rejected, because if that would have gone in wrong hands anyone can miss use it.                         Barclay — Incorrect late payment Charges

                        It has been a nightmare since I have started using this Barclays credit card. I feel others are lucky who have not received this card as they are spared from this trauma. I made the very first transaction on this card and trouble started after that. First the monthly bill was delayed and I got it after the last payement date for that month. Then the bank does not have any drop box in any standard bank ATM. It just hsa tie ups with some shopkeepers and these shops only open on week days during business hours. A employed person like me cannot leave my work and to drop a cheque. But still I managed to drop the cheque in time and STILL A LATE PAYMENT FEE HAS BEEN CHARGED. I have been following upd for more than 4 weeks with the customer care and nothing has happened. moreover the customer care is only accessible through a mobile phone and not through a landline. I am planning to take this to consumer court.

In India it seems Barclay is least bothered about their reputation as a repected name in financial services. My case is somewhat similar, I got the reference id on my mobile and when i enquired about the status after one month of ref id receipt I was nothing but surprised to know that Official courier (Bluedart in this case on all india basis) has approached me and due to my absence they could not deliver it. Then started the stupendous task of enquiry. But as you people would also have felt, the story of service is almost similar everywhere, the gentlemen at barclay could not make it sure that the card will be delivered to me then I requested him to put me to his team leader. The lady was nice and suave, she assured me with her candy laced promises that if I give authorisation letter to my guard it will be fine and my CC will be delivered and she get it double checked from Bluedart also. Now comes the full story, despite this sincere promise one week passed without any fruits. I contacted Bluedart people they promised me that the delivery will be done next day. This next day continued till friday (Hmmm the promise was made on monday). Atlast I finally ask them when you can deliver it to me because I am single and could not stop going to my work just to get this stupid card. I got a promised to get it delivered next day (it was my holiday). I waited whole day just to make sure that it wont go back. when I got a hint of fooling myself, 7.30 Pm i called Bluedart people (thank god they were available on phone) they said "Boys are out and you will be receiving it by half an hour". As day passed so the night. Next day when i was out of my home I received a call from courier boy. He said "sir, I am from Bluedart and I have a parcel for you." I said now I am out of home. He said "OK, I will deliver it to you in the evening ." I was really very surprised to see that Bluedart people are working on sundays also and could not comprehend why this facility was not granted earlier. Next one week passed and nothing happened. Once again I got worried and I contacted to customer care. Thanks to my known patience after full 30 Minutes I got to customer care and it was the height of frustration after hearing that Bluedart people contacted you thrice but you were not available at your place. I asked them to cancelled my card then and there only. they said ok it will be delivered to your employer address, I said please dont take any more pain please cancel my card. I opened my email id and sent a mail to barclay card services stating that from now onwards I will not be reponsible for any mal transactions done from my card and it should be cancelled right away.
                        Since then I received many times sales people calling me on behalf of Barclays bank I simply said them Ok I have tasted every bit of Barclay so please look for some other BAKRA I am not the one who will be trapped very easily now. Thanks!

                        Dear Sir/Madam,

                        I have been struggling to get a charge on my Barclay Credit Card disputed for the last three months. This charge appeared on my statements along with other charges that I had made in the month of January. I immediately informed Barclays Customer Service about this charge and asked them to investigate it. A couple of days later I got a call from Barclays asking me to send a letter to Mumbai to request this charge to be disputed. I informed the lady that I stay in New Delhi and it is simply not possible for me send a letter to another metro city to get a charge disputed as I don't have time. I also told her that I have credit cards of other banks who dispute a charge over a simple phone call. I have honestly never heard of such an illogical and time consuming process. Barclays has since not disputed the charge and now after three months, that charge of Rs 289 has amounted to Rs 1770 with all the late payment fees and interest charges levied upon it. I do not see any point paying this money as the whole thing is based on a fraudulent charge. Everytime I speak to someone fro Barclays, it seems they don't have any idea about my initial complaint. I get calls everyday from their collections department asking me to make the payment. Inspite of repeatedly requesting them to investigate the said charge, nobody is bothered. I have gone through enough harrasment already and seek your advice in this regard. My Barclays Card no. is [protected].

                        Barclays gold credit card — Not received my Barclays gold credit card

                        I have applied for the Barclays gold credit card 1 month ago and since then i have not recieved any communication regarding the status of the same as whether card application is approved or rejected, because if that would have gone in wrong hands anyone can miss use it.                         i have applied for a barclays crdeit card early january and since then i have not recieved the card and some transcations related to icici lombard policy has been made through my account without my knowledge and the payment is due for last two months and i am getting calls, statements and sms regarding the payment and i dont have any reference number or card number.

Some times I have recieved call from Blue Dart Courier and was saying that we recieved Barclay Credit Card, have to dispatch to communication address but you have written wrong address on it. Before dispatching the Card they have checked address confirmation and they found miss matching the address which you written on it. Regarding that wrong address, I have spoken to Barclay Customer Care People and I have updated correct Adreess to them. They said that we will send mail to Blue Dart Courier with Correct address and you will recieve the Car with in 5 working days. It was happend almost 10days back, till I didn`t get any updates on it.

                        Barclays Credit Card — Customer fraud, false commitment, harassment calls and abusive language

                        Dear Friends,

                        I would like to bring to your notice the nightmare that I have been facing for owning a Barclays Credit Card and will suggest all of you not to get their card.

                        I received their gold card (for which they themselves contacted me) in March 2008. I paid my first bill of Rs. 10, 000, however I never got the bill. On requested the customer service time and again (who are very rude) they finally emailed me the bill.

                        After that my real ordeal started. They billed me an amount of Rs.900 as late charges, for which again I didnt recieve the bill. I asked them to tell me who accepted the bill for whcih they said that I had signed it!! I have asked them repeatedly to email me the POD, but they havent done it till now.

                        In the meanwhile, their collections department started harassing me, calling me from various numbers from Mumbai. One day they crossed all the limits and started abusing me and sending me obscene messages for which I complained to the customer service. It has been more than a week and I havent heard anything from them.

                        They are nto even giving me any information so that I can go to the RBI and raise the issue. Everytime I ask them about what action was taken about the collections department, they tell me to pay the bill and whatever action have to be taken, they will do it internally.

                        Now, they have incresed the late payement fees without sending out any communication to me (from Rs 300 to Rs 500). I am not sure if any credit card company has such a provision. When I asked the customer service why I was not informed about it, they say they sent the communication along with the bill (which I never received).

                        They will keep adding to my bill and one day they will send the recovery agent to my home to recover the falsely charged money.

                        This is fraud and cheating of the highest order. I have again asked them to send me the details, but I am not sure if they will do it (as always).

                        Friends, please dont take this card, they are fooling us all even when their are clear RBI guidelines. I plan to pursue this case with RBI and stop them from cheating more people.
                        I strongly feel the same ( I also hold a Barklays Credit Card ). Action should be taken agains such bank for harassing innocent people for their faults.

                        I request the Indian Consumer Complaints Forum to take a stern action against them.

                        i Am holding a Barclays credit card from last 7 months. Every month i didn't use to recieve any statement and just got SMS of my bill amount, yet i paid the amount on time without even checking the statement

                        this time the same thing happened and i havent received any statement just recieved and SMS. After the due date i got the SMS to pay the Minimum amount and i paid the minimum amount. Again, i got the new SMs on my new bill but this includes a fine of rupees 500. Besides paying the minimum amount i have fined 500. i m not going to pay this fine aas it wasn't my fault

                        Also, the fine was suppose to be 300/- and they say its a revised fine as per new laws which they are in process o[censored]pdating customers. well, is this a way to update the customer...by fining first and then will update you by later?

                        Barclays Credit Card — Un-timely & without pre-information changes in credit limit

                        This is regarding the untimely changes in to my credit card limit in July Month.
                        On 9th July i have confirmed from customer care about my left credit limit i.e. Rs 2000+ available to my card account. I moved to Shimla for personal visit and all of sudden while purchasing on 11th July through my credit card, it got dishonored because limit of card account has been over. I felt very guilty and harassed at that time. I was supposed to that i have cash as credit only but as i found it negative. Firstly unwanted tension that some one is misusing my card, secondly embarrassing because of this. I faced not only this but also faced and feel unnecessary guilty in front of my relatives as well as shopkeeper.
                        I am feeling very disappointment because of this against my all well wisher.
                        Most importantly-bank has not sent a single message regarding decreasing my card account limit. These forceful changes can cause a big trouble for anybody.
                        I need a urgent look on it and want compensation of Rs 1, 00, 000 otherwise I'll move to court for the same.

                          Being a big international bank you people know how to extract money from the customer for very silly reasons. and troubling the customer with the harassment calls (so far i have received 9 calls using abusive language)

                          My payment due date was 9 April 2008, and i had dropped a cheque on 7 April dated 8 April 2008 at the nearest Skypak box.
                          The cheque got cleared on 12 April, delaying the payment by 5 days and same has got reflected in the May month statement, however along with bank has charged me with various other charges
                          Late Payment charges : 300:00 Dr
                          Service tax : 37:08 Dr
                          Cheque Payment : (Dont know from where this has come) 4:00 CR
                          Debit Interest : (No Clue on these charges) 51:45 Dr
                          Service Tax : 6:36 Dr

                          Making a total of 394.89

                          I gave a call to the customer care on April 29 on receiving the statement, asking them to kindly help in reverting the charges. according to customer care the process would take 10 days
                          Still further to know the status I gave a call May 3, May 7 (again a request was submitted) and even today.
                          I had insisted to speak to the manager, then the call was transfered to the Floor Supervisor Yasmine (if i am not wrong). I was surprised to hear that she is going to put a remark on the account and was going to spoil my credit rating providing my name in the defaulters list which is also used by other banks at the time of verification for any banking and financial service which i would like to avail.

                          On hearing this i have already made a payment of Rs: 800 with the following details

                            Hey, I had been issued an BarclayCard in the month of Dec 07 and I used it for the first time last month on 11th April, however till date I've not received the statement till date.

                            I have been calling the Helpline no.[protected] mentioned on the back of the card, where a prerecorded message says pls call on 6724 2222, buth that no is perenially busy.

                            This is informing to Barclay Bank that I am LavKush and my Card number is xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx there is dispute about one transaction with vodafone in the month of nov19 to dec 19, 2007

                            I have paid Rs 3000/- by hard cash on 19.06.08 ( reciept NO :23628 )at chandrakany enterprises Pimpri Pune as per suggest by your barclay representative.
                            Barclay representative had confirmed me he has recived the paymeny of Rs 3000/- but till i am getting minimun 5-6 SMS daily and your representative is also called up they are not recieved the pay.

                            I am very surprised This is happing with world class finance company. I am very regerte so say this is very painful to me.

                            I am fedup with your service, I have never ever got such poor help and ops service in banking industry. You helpline custoer service do not work or doesn not exist... you know better.

                            I am having once card of your bank, which I had recv. few a month back now, I made some purchasing of Rs.3333/- aprox. and droped a chq. at Skypak drop box at Janakpur HP petrol pump (behing the Tihar Jail) on 21st of June, my cycle date is 28th.

                            But till now I do not know the fate of my chq. and over and above you had penalised me with lot of charges like late fee and fine etc.

                            It your fult and mede me penalised.. I do not know what you are going to do now, bu tI must say one thing very clearly that remove all charges that you had lavied on me and either return my chq. and take the spent amount from my and clear the chq. which I had droped in your box at the above said place.                             Barclaycard — Executive not coming to collect payment for 2 months

                            I am Amit henry
                            For about 2 months, I've been receiving calls from collection department of Barclaycard asking me why I haven't made payments. I have always told them to send an executive to my office address and call me on my office number, not on my mobile as I am not authorised to bring mobiles inside office premises. Despite making promises, they never send their executive to collect the payment. As I have no cheque book, that's always preferrable to give the money to collection executives. But keep on waiting for executives to come to the rendezvous, but no body comes. I have all the money ready to pay Barlcaycard, but again I receive a call from collection department payment still not received. I tell them making calls to me will not give you money. Send your executive and I'll pay you. Consequently I am now unnecessarily liable to pay penalties and interests. I am very disappointed.

                            i got the credit card in the lat month and this is my first experience with barclay card. as per the detail i got thru massage on my mobile that my last date for the payment pay is 25th of july 2008 and i made it on time with the cash paid at one of your collcetion center with the cash receipt.

                            wating for almost another 10 days after making the payment on time i havent got any update from your side so i made the calls so many times at your priscribe call center number and i got the information that after making the payment of your card it will take 10 to 15 working days to reflect in our system...

After dropping the Cheque well before the due date bank is continuously sending the statement demanding the Late Fee, tax and Interest. After dropping the cheque how can customer come to know about the cheque? he can know only when his/her account has debited.                             I have made the payment towards my barclays credit card bearing the number [protected] on 31st July by droping a cheque at R T nagar drop box with the cheque no 93308 dated on 31st July for the amount 1000/-, However i am still getting the reminder message that we have not received your payment, Where in i could see in my savings account that the amt has been debited towards, kindly check & let me know the status as early as possible.

                            I request your help in resolving a long pending issue of outstanding amount on the credit card no. [protected].

                            In March 2008, we had missed the due date for payment of Rs.11, 463.52. But we sent the cheque on 17th March, which was late by just 2 days. The next month we didn't make any purchases on the card, but still received the late payment fees in the statement. We called up the customer service to waive off the late payment fees since the payment was delayed only by 2 days. But the same was not attended to and we kept receiving increased late payment fees every month. We also started getting calls from the collection department, who were not helpful in resolving the matter. We then started receiving voice messages to call up nos. in Delhi[protected] or Gurgaon, which we tried calling up, but could never got connected to anyone. The numbers only ring, but there is no response anytime. On one fine day, I somehow got connected to the Delhi no. before 09:30 pm and the office boy there was helpful in giving me the Team leader Mr. Kishan's mobile No. [protected]. I called him up and explained him the details and asked him to help us in waiving off this outstanding amount of Rs.3946.03, which does not pertain to any purchases. It makes no sense in paying Rs.4000 approx only towards late payment. The other credit card companies do consider such situations and waive off such charges. Mr. Kishan agreed to help me and get back to me the next day, but never did so. Since then I am trying to reach him, but he is not answering any of my calls even. As a last resort, I sent him an SMS also, but still he is behaving in the same manner.

                            It would be grateful if one can call me on my mobile: [protected] so that the matter gets resolved at the earliest. If we do not receive any call by Monday, 18th August 2008, we shall assume that the matter is closed from our side and we shall not entertain any of the Barclays Executive calling up after 18th August 2008.

                            Las month, I have received statement for usage of my credit card for Rs.1200/-. The last date of payment was 19.09.08.
                            Since the statement was received just 2 days before, I dropped the cheque in one of the drop boxes. Eventhough the cheque got cleared, Bank has charged additional late fee and other expenses. When the cheque was dropped in their drop box, why should I be penalised with late fee etc. I have sent several mails and talked to the customer service executives. However, nothing has happened. Now they are sending SMS on my mobile on every 15 minutes and calling in evdry half hour. This is totally harrasment. If no action has been taken and reverse the charges and stop harrasments, I will be forced to lodge complaint with the competitive authorities including legal action.

                            Barclay Credit Card — Excessive Late Payment Fee

                            Sir,
                            I am a credit card holder of Barclay Bank with no. [protected]. The cueque collection box of the bank is around 9 km. from my house and the place I work. From the last two bills, I had been paying late Payment Fee . I paid Rs.1500-00 till now to your bank and I didnot claim any reversal till now. On advise from your customer service centre, I paid Rs. 150-00 as the balance leaving aside the late payment fee. That was paid in time. Again, I got a late payment fees this month, totalling the late payment fees to Rs.1200-00 in just two months without using your card atleast once in the last three months. I drop the cheque at All Cheque drop box at Bombay Gas light stores, Asilmetta, Visakhapatnam. There is no facility to pay the bill directly. On Sundays, the shop is closed and on working days, I find it difficult to go to drop the cueque. And, I am paying my bills regularly. At this rate of penalty, I cannot use your card in future. I humbly request to reverse the late payment fees and collect what ever is spent by me. Otherwise, I am frightened to use your card. So, issue a fresh statement revising the charges or otherwise, cancel my card . I want to continue my relationship with the bank . My only request is to reverse this. Rs.1200-00 . I promise not to delay my payment in future. I cannot pay such huge penalty for a very simple mistake of my inability to move to the place to drop the cheque. I am not escaping your payment. I request you do justice .

                            I am disgusted to the core. Hope someone from Barclays reads this.This card was taken from Chennai in 2007. In 2007 Dec, I relocated to Kolkata informing the card division about my change of address & no. Eventually I first used my card in may/june(clearly do not remember) in singapore. I had waited for the statement to reach my new address. However when I did not for a long while I called the bank to take down my expenses so that I could pay on time. The person who spoke with me in the month of june(I do not remember his name, however I am sure all your calls are recorded) he gave me the expenses over the phone and the next day I paid my outstanding. On the very day I also informed the credit card division about updating my address and to send me the statement via email as well. Later, after few days they sent me the e-statement and to my utter surprise I saw an outstanding amount of 460 pending. I immediately informed the bank to waive off the late fee which will generate out of this as this was not my fault at all.The CSE then promised to get back to me within 7 working days which till date has not happened. In the next billing cycle as usual i did not receive my statement to my billing address. I called the bank and took the expenses and once again pleaded them to waive the late fees as one time courtesy sake to which they said they would get back within 3 working days.However I paid the outstanding amount that very month and cleared off all the payment except the late fine.I again called the bank in august to request the same, I sent a mail more than 10 times but have not got any response. I am very shocked that no body got in touch with me to resolve the matter but for the last 5-6 months I am getting calls 10 times a day and I am repeating the same thing again & again. No body is bothered to give me a complain no. You are the last person I can get back hoping this matter will get resolved.

                            I am requesting you to get in touch with me to waive this fee for me as this has never been a part of my fault. I am sure all your calls are recorded, hence would request you listen to them to justify why I should pay the late fees which has now amounted to 4000 Rs.

                            I am calling the no.[protected] and no one seems to pick the call.
                            I took a loan from Barclay's(2.12L) on Aug which was to be canceled due to wrong name mentioned in the demand draft that i received. I called many times to Barclay's saying about this issue. No one seems to be caring for the issue. Each one notes down the issue that i say and forgets to follow up the issue. From that day onwards i have stopped using the Barclay's credit card. But i keep receiving bills with late payment and other charges which is suppose to be removed as no transactions were made. The late fee was for the installment. Finally one day i got a letter from Barclay's that the loan is cancel. But each day from last month i am getting a recorded call from Barclay's cc with a message saying that i need to pay by bills. I don't want any calls from Barclay's regarding the CC. If this continues i may have to take a serious action against the company. I also received a notice that my credit limit is reduced to 10000 for not paying the bills on date.

                            On 7th of October, Shams Charania told me pay the late payment free and the service tax for that amount and she also promise me that the other charges will be waived off. Taking her words, i paid Rs.561.80. But the she failed to mention me the debit interest and the service tax should also be paid. I clearly informed that i will not be making any other payments after this. Shams Charania promised me that everything will be settled. But now, from the month of Oct to Dec, i am still billed for the credit interest and a service tax which includes a latepayment fee + tax for Shams told me that i will be billed for.

                            In the month of december i contacted(2nd dec) Geetha (case no:-CAS333452B1ED66F) regarding this issue and she too promised that his request will happen in 7 days. As i was still getting the automated calls and SMS for the charges after that, i called back on 15th Dec to know what happen to the reversal request. I spoke with a tech and she transferred the call to a supervior named Naveen, who placed me on hold and disconnected the call.I was on hold for 15 minutes before he could disconnect the call. I was total upset with this kind of behaviour your supervisor did. I again called back and was able to speak with Pranav(Manager) who clearly informed what happen from the begining. He told me the reason for the issue. He esclated the case to the concern department for waiving off the charges for the mistake done by the tech. He promised that it will take 7-8 days for the request to happen. So i called on 18th Dec to know what happened. The tech informed me that as the software upgradation is going on, she would not be able to give the details. So i called today (20th Dec) and found that the request Pranav made was denied by the Bank. I was shocked hearing this information, i insisted to talk with a supervisor. I was transfered to Syed(case no:cas197772), who told me to write a mail regading this to the headservice.

                            This will my last mail for the request.If the reversal or waiving does not happen, i am sure to seek legal action against the company for giving wrong promises and also torturing me be sending automatted calls and SMS for the payment. For the past 3 months, i have experienced mental tortures which brough down my health condition. I am sure to claima huge sum of money from all that the company did for me.

                            NOW I HAVE CANCELLED THE CARD BY PAYING THE MONEY WHICH THE BANK(BARCLAYS) BEGGED FOR.

                            Barclays bank Credit card — Without forwarding statement just going on charging charges

                            I have issued barclays bank credit card on Sept 08. First time I used credit card in Oct 08 I not recieved my statement in NOV 2008 they charged me Rs 50 for this in month of Dec 08. Second time I purchased movie tickets of Rs 170 this time also I have not recieved my statement I missed the due date they charged me Rs 572. I paid my outstanding of 170 & request them to reverse the charges but they continously going on charging now it has became around Rs 3500. I called them 7 to 8 times asking for statement but they told me that no one has accepted the statement at home but it isn't true no one has came to my house. I am literally being frustrated of Barclays bank services. I have requested for hard copy of statement while applying for credit card as I don't get a time to go to Cyber. I just want to suggest everyone not to take any product of stupid bank like Barclays. Be aware of Barclays Bank.

                            Barclays Bank Credit Card — Interest charged even after payment

                            I have a Barclays credit card no. [protected], with this card I have some purchases in feb.2008 of Rs. 8500/- and paid Rs.9000/-, next month i have some other purchases and statement show Rs. 250/- due but i have some other purchases after statement date which was reflected in the next months statement and total was Rs.818/- but i paid the entire amount of in advance, one month prior and that was also of Rs.918/- wrongly. I made that payment by cheque dated 31/03/2008 and drop tha same on 30/03/2008, as per bank's statement cheque should be drop 2 to 3 working days prior to due date and the due date was 01/04/2008, so my cheque drop date is 30 march which is a working day, 31 mar and 1 Apr is also working days but in the next statement bank chrge interest and late payment fees.I wrote some E mails regarding this but bank refuse to give me reversal after some time bank ask for Rs.200/- to close out the matter I paid the same in cash on 24 oct 2008.and a mail is come to me regarding reversal of charges but nothing is reflected in the coming statements and calls from recovery agents continue to disturb me. I mail the reversal mail to bank but they refuse to give me anything

                            I have been traumatised with one of the worst experience with Barclays bank. They dont have any branches in Bangalore where we can drop a cheque or pay by cash, The skypak drop box is one of the worst boxes i have ever seen, "even the post box is better than these boxes. When i got the details of the drop boxes i went to the location however i had to search for an hour to locate the box, It seems to be so cozy like a nest and another worrying factor is that i was wondering whether that is the right box to drop the cheque.Inspite of my struggle to drop the cheque before the due date i was penalised with the late charge and adding salt to the wound they have reduced my credit limit for no mistake of mine.

                            Barclaycard — Account Statement Problem

                            Dear Sir,

                            I am a holder of Barclays Gold Credit card (Card no. [protected]).

                            For the card no. [protected] I have received the latest Barclaycard E-Statement via email on 30th April 2009 stating Total outstanding (Incl. EMI) is Rs. 18568.77.

                            When i called Barclays customer care on 14th May 2009 & enquired about my Total outstanding as on 14th May 2009, the customer care representative informed that my Total outstanding (Incl. EMI) is Rs. 29000.00

                            I was surprised with the outstanding amount informed by customer care representative & explained that the last E-Statement received from Barclaycard has Total outstanding Rs. 18568.77.

                            Since i had a latest last month account statement i have visited the local Barclaycard office at Sakar 7, Ashram Road & assisted for help. The more to surprised that they were also not able to justify the difference of outstanding between E-Statement & the amount reflecting in their system.

                            On arguing a lot, the representative has asked me to contact the customer care helpline only.

                            Pls. let me know whether this kind of service from Barclays is justified.

                            I would request you to please help to get the matter resolved at the earliest.

                            dear Barclaycard, all i want to do is pay the full balance of my card on line or over the phone. Every attempt I make is blocked by a member of your staff. I am only ever allowed to pay the minimum amount so that once again i hav to pay more interest and I am starting to get really fed up and I am going to take it further.                             Barclays Bank Credit Card — Excessive charges on credit card

                            Sir/Madam,

                            I am Kumar Bharadwaj, I was using a Barclay Credit card.
                            Few months before I used the card for a certain purchase after which i was offered to convert my account to EMI for which i aggred without knowledge, but later a few minutes after i received a call from barclay and converted by account to EMI, i asked them to cancel the account of EMI as i want to pay the full amount as the intrest charges was very high(i.e, 30 to 44% per annum), but they rejected to cancel the EMI and inturn said i should pay atleast 3 month of EMI and then ask for cancellation from the customer care just before the due would occour, but every time when I called the customer care just before the due date to cancel the EMI, my call was canceled after a few enquiry questions saying that i am not the card holder as the deatils dosen't match with their details(details was my DOB and mothers name.). I continued paying EMI as per the statement till 4th month. For the 5 th installment i wanted to pay the complete amount at once but due to improper response by Barclay customer care the payment got delayed and for which i received a call from Barclay during the conversation with the Barclay executive over the phone i committed him to pay the remaining amount of the EMI at once and wanted to foreclose the same was agreed by the company executive over phone only for which i asked for a written document and was refused for the document by the executive as they don't have such procedure, but the conditions was agreed. For which i made a payment as per the communication on July 2009.After so many days today i am surprised to see a mail from Barclay threatening me that my account shall be escalated to CIBIL as a defaulter. Please see the mail copy attached for your reference.
                            I need your valued suggestions for a valued course of action.

                              YATRA BARCLAYCARD is the WORST Credit Card in India (if not world). Their customer service is pathetic and I have decided to cancel the card. Their offers are not worth it. Their customer care executives are always having their systems updated. They charge you every month for late payment fees and interest and then you call them and get these charges reversed and then again in the next month they charge you. This happened with me continually for 6 months.

                              Whenever they promise that some problem will be resolved within a specific time, it never gets done. Their Call Center numbers give back a BUSY TONE. Emails sent to them dont get a reply. They SELL your CONFIDENTIAL information like your income, your credit limit, your name & address to companies, even if you opt for NOT getting contacted by their partners.

                              They will keep calling you every month to take up EMI facility, even if you make your payments in full and on-time.

                              I am attaching my correspondences with them. My suggestion don't go for the card. I have already cancelled it.

                              As an internationally reputed service provider, I must bring to your notice, that you have brought your organisation and the Barclay's brand name into disrepute by the pathetic quality of services that you are providing. Despite repeated calls and reminders to you, on your customer helpline, my queries have not been solved.

                              Your customer care number in Gurgaon is giving a message like "the customer you are trying to reach is currently busy, please try again later". I cant understand what service you are providing. There can be no bigger blunder than this in customer service, where the customer care number is busy. I can still understand that I am put on hold due to unavailability of an executive, but the number being busy is completely unacceptable.

                              Upon getting connected to your customer service executive, 80% of the times, the systems are getting updated and the executive is unable to help. The executives are often rude and show complete inability to handle the situation. If an executive's system is not working, he/she should be offline and the call must not be transferred to such a person.

                              I am repeatedly getting charged for interest charges, late payment fees, etc. month after month, every month. Despite your executives agreeing to this problem, every time they reverse the old charges and in the next statement levy fresh charges. What is the point of reversing the old charges in the first case, if you are going to charge it for whatever reason again.

                              I am getting sms that your statement has been delivered by the courier service, whereas I have not received it. Even there is a courier number. A understand this amounts to providing misleading information to the customer and generating fraudulent courier numbers.

                              A cheque deposited on the 24th of a month (4 days before the due date) is credited to my account on the 4th of the next month. Then you charge me for late payment fees?

                              Despite having a credit limit of over 25000 in my account, a transaction of Rs. 11000 gets rejected. Not once, but repeatedly? (you can check this in your records) Due to this, I have to pay an extra 1500 for my flight ticket as the same problem is not solved by you for more than 24 hours after giving a time of 4 hours (I can prove with the ticket that I actually bought). Also, I have to change my travel plans at the last minute and I reach late by over 2 hours to a training program. Who is responsible for the above situation and who is going to reimburse me for the extra payment I have made?

                              I sometimes wish I had a voice recorder on my phone, to record the conversations with your executives, their commitments to rectify your system and your complete inability to fulfill these commitments.

                              I am also part of a company (Dhanuka Agritech Limited, listed on BSE) and customer service is our prime concern. In today's environment how can a service driven company like yourself ignore "CUSTOMER SERVICE", is entirely beyond my comprehension.

                              You have made up a joke out of customer service. IT DISPLAYS THE DEFICIENCY OF SERVICES AND TRADE MALPRACTICES.

                              I need you to take immediate action and reverse the inappropriate charges in my account and also respond to my email within 48 hours with explanation for all the above points otherwise I will be forced to knock on the doors of the consumer court.

                                The problem exists with your end, I intially wrote many mails to you but no response from your side, I had also written a lettter in my own hand writing stating all the conditions, situations and problems to you but you people just ignored that letter and all lended in your deaf ears.

                                The amount accumulated till now is all service charges, debit interest and other charges and nothing else, I have already paid your principle of 2150 RS.I told your customer executives not pay this service charges as you couldnt collect my cheques issues by me twice well in advanced still sufficient fund was available in my a/c.But they didnt not respond, whenever I call your customer care executives, they don't listen to me being a customer.

                                I was never satisfied with your services and wanted to dispose barclay card but you people didnt respond but now when I have adopted your policy of leaving everything into deaf ears your are reminding me again and again, also you have shared my credit history with CIBIL.

                                I still remind you I'll not pay this amount at any cost and I am ready to take up this matter with the cosumer court.

                                You always suggest me to call upon customer care numbers, Is it always the duty of customer to call upon again and again even when he is not getting any respone from you lax people.

                                im chaitanya and my father is using barcley credit card.as barcley is branch is not opened in hyderabad we r confused where we have to drop the cheque.at the time of applying the executive told us that drop cheques in hcdfcc bank.we did it but they called us and said payment is not received.I told that we have dropped the cheque in the hdfc drop box, they told we have to drop cheque in some skypack services which is located opp to gokul theatre in erragada.but im unable to find the skypack there and im vey confused.please help me.

                                Barclay Credit Card — Offers don't work

                                I am a barclay credit card customer and believe me the service they provide is worse than worst.

                                Thie offers never work. For an example, they say they have an offer valid till Aug 31-2008 when you book your movie tickets from bookmyshow.com(100Rs off if you use your barclay cc). But that offer never works. When I call the customer service, they dont have a faintest idea of what I am speaking and its done no good that to burn up some charge in my mobile and my pocket(it was an std call from my cell).

                                Thats one thing, and the next is they put late fees, service tax, vat tax and many more. No, I am not complaining because they put these, I am complaining because they put this even though we are not paying late and we pay on time. When I called the customer care, they were as usual helpless.

                                So, guys, Beware!

                                bank offered me a credit card with a limit of Rs 17, 000.
                                in that limit i have purchased the things for Rs 7651.
                                for that payment they have not given me first statement.
                                they given me directly 2nd statement with a latepayment charges of Rs 650. for that i call many times on there coustomer care that its not my fault but they said i must hv to pay this amount.

                                Dear Sir,

                                I am holding a Barclays Credit Card since last 1 yr. In the Month of Aug. 08, I dropped chaque in suggested drop box within due date and bank not processed my chaque in time. B'coz of late processing chaque by bank they added late fee and interest in my balance account. Again in next month same exercise done and late fee + interest added. In my last payment (month of Sep. 08) I paid full amonut and appx. Rs. 200.00 extra (without late fee and interest charged by bank). In current days everymonth late fee and interest are adding in my account.

                                I am getting calls day to day from bankers that "at that time it was bank fault but you need to pay that amount charged by banks (late fee + interest)". Also bankers telling me that if I will not pay that required amount (by bank) then they will produce my detail in CIBIL.

                                Pls. help me for the same.

                                My name is Ayush Anand, one day I received a call from Barclay saying you pay us 1500 Rs. and we will reverse all the other dues on your card.

                                However they have started harassing me again over the phone about the payment and they are talking to my house people and also office people about this.

                                Kindly help me to put a cheating case against the Barclays and take me out of this mess because of this I am spoiling my health as well.

                                  I have not received my statement of credit card till date. My credit card no. is [protected]. I have been receiving calls from your agents for making the payments, but everytime i tell them to send the statement but i have not received any response. I am disappointed by this poor service. This is the delay from Barclays Bank end and not from my side so if in case any late payment fee is added in my bill, please make sure that this is revised as i will not be paying any late payment fee.

                                  well the e-mail support and the phone support of barclays is WORST. I have sent them so MANY e mail regarding my IPIN but all the time i got those auto generated acknoledgemens nothing more than that. Once i tried calling them and their customer care representative asked me to call back because his SYSTEM IS NOT WOrKING. I request him to take my number and give me call back but he refuse you to do that and when i insist him to call me bak. he take my number but till date no call back from their side. I guess there outgoing is blocked because they have not paid thier VOIP dues.

                                  After few days i call them once again and request them to provide me my IPIN once again and thier customer care representative told me that she cant provide it over phone and she will sending it through courier. But i guess its almost a month still i have not received any thing from them. I guess they guys don'tven pay their postal dues..

                                  Now I am waiting for my credit card statement and i dont know whether it will be reaching me on time or no.

                                  CAN ANYONE HELP ME OUT!!!

                                  I submitted the card application on 17th July 08. the application no is AA3707887. I was told that i will recieve the card with in 21 working days. I have not yet recieved the card.

                                  The telephone number 6001 6001 is not working. I am wondering that at the application level the service is like this and what will happen when I start using this?.(I presume that I will the the card int the near future)
                                  I wish to get visa credit card. Please provide the agents addresses with phone numbers. I am staying in anna nagar.

                                    I have placed several request for cancellation of this card even after paying all the dues (some of whihc were wrongly levied). Every time i call their call centre and they ask to wait for 3 days, but till date no one has responsded and i simply want to get rid of this card

                                    Dear Sir,

                                    I am having barclay dredit card from last 6 month's .
                                    Instead of Rs.195 now I have to pay Rs.2000. in May month I have to pay 195 for my shopping, before due date I had deposited the cheque in drop box, but when I called them after 7 days they told me that they not received my cheque, and after few days when i again called them they told me that I issued wrong dated cheque, & they charged penalty on my card, when i told them that send me scan copy of my cheque they say yes for it, but still i don't get scan copy of my cheque, again & again requesting for copy, and they charged me penalties every month insted of solving the problem.

                                    If this type of foreign companies fraud with the customer then how you can say that customer is safe
                                    .so please do something for that.it's my humbel request..

                                    As i am not getting my statements on time they are always charging me late payment fee on my minimum due of 150 the charged my 600 Rs. called on cust Care they said they will give me the waiver in next month .every month they charge me late payment fee till date i have not recived any Reversal in my Account.
                                    I too have a similar problem.For my statement dated 2nd sept to oct 02, 2008 dues payable by 22nd of october.I issued a cheque for the whole amount(Cheque dated 12oct 2008.)dropped it at their regular drop box on date. I got an SMS on the 20th Oct.stating that your cheque is invalid for invalid date, please pay the charges immediately.I contacted their so called inneffecient customer service and got a standard reply of please please pay.I asked them to return me my invalid Cheque but till today they have not returned me the same.Then the calls started from their collection department harassing me and asking for the payment in-numerable calls(about 10 different people at different times of the day.) a no. of recorded calls are also being recieved till date(30th oct 2008).Today I have dropped a cheque for the total outstanding amount including the current month(no dues) I would like to mention here that I have already destroyed their card with a prayer that every thing ends well or other wise I may have to take up legal action against the bank.

                                      Barclaycard Credit card — forcefully giving me Health Insurance of ICICI lOMBARD and demanding money

                                      Dear Sir,

                                      When I applied for the barclays credit card I have not applied for
                                      ICICI lombard Insurance but they have given me the insurance. I don't
                                      know how they did it because I have not signed on the form while
                                      applying for the credit card.

                                      My credit card # is [protected]. After doing lot of follow up
                                      with your executives/customer care and ICICI Lombard from 25th FEB 2008, I got the refund
                                      of 75% of the insurance amount back to Barclay Card and rest 25% is not received. ICICI
                                      Lombard is saying we have deducted this 25% against service charges
                                      and I logged a complaint in ICICI Lombard and the complaint # is
                                      2931484, but still I haven't received money back.

                                      Since all these wrong stuff is been done By BarclayCard, and without any reason they have dragged me
                                      into this matter. They are demanding 25% of money from me and even every month they are charging late charges and for this month they have issued statement of 3000/- RS.

                                      Kindly help me into the matter, since the case is pending from 25th Feb 2008 and no action is taken on same.

                                      Also, I need a copy of my form for my reference which I filled against
                                      the credit card request, where I can clearly state that BarclayCard has cheated me.

                                      they have bussiness tied up with ICICI lOMARD to issues forcefully Health Insurance, even my whole family has health insurance from my office side which is much higher than what they opted to sell out to m, . why I will need another? Is a big Question.

                                      Barclaycard Credit card — fined due miss mangement in collection

                                      Hi,

                                      i am vishwaraj dubey and holding barclayscard credit card, i am suffering from company's miss magement towards collection of checks since feb 2008 .
                                      i have following problems
                                      1. i submitted a check in feb 2008 for paying feb 2008 credit but barclayscard customer care called me and informed me that they did not recived check so please issue new check and cancelled last one,
                                      i did things as i was asked and informed barclaysard about that, next month i came to that they had put both the checks againt me and fined me two charges
                                      1, late fee =300/-
                                      2, checked reversal fee=300/-+ some finical charges+taxes

                                      2. i submitted a check in mar2008 for paying mar2008 credit now again customer care called and informed me that they had not recived the check so issue new checked, i provided all the check details and asked them to return old check then only i can new because of my pervious experience.

                                      from mar2008 they harassing me like nothing threatening that they will sent thrid party to get money

                                      when i asked for reversal of fine of they denied, when i asked talk to concern person they denied,
                                      when i asked for complaint number they denied and told me we donot maitain any complaint no our everything is verbal.

                                      I had submitted all relevant documents said by your representative for new HSBC credit card. The documents where submitted on 14th October 2008.

                                      After some days call came from HSBC office (Delhi) informing that they require my ICICI debit card front copy.

                                        I am a user of two credit cards for last 10+years. One is a Indian company other is a multinational ( I do around 4 lakhs of billing for both of them), After having met a pleading salesman from one of your desperate DSAs trying to complete month end targets I agreed to take your card which was promptly dispatched to me and I did good billing on your card also, Since then I have shifted to Pune and now I am absolutely frustrated and harassed by the kind of service provided by Barclays card, I know this email will not go to the correct authorities and no cognizance of this will be taken, but still I want to bring to your notice your banking and credit card standards.

                                        I have cleared all your O/S which was there Rs 397=00 on 10th of April ( This was actually no purchase but interest charges levied) The cheque never got cleared which I came to know only on the 23rd when I got a call from you saying that you have to make a cheque favoring Barclays bank PLC, Why was this not communicated earlier ??? I have never paid any cheque to you in this manner.

                                        Now I am getting 20 calls per day for Rs 400/- But no one is coming to collect the money ! Definitely for no fault of mine now you will again charge interest on Rs 400/- and again present me with a bill.

                                        No one has bothered to change my address and I get no billing statement neither on e-mail nor physical copy.

                                        I am depositing a cheque of Rs 800/- against whatever O/S you claim...!!( Because after waiting for 10 days nobody has turned up) and cutting your card in 4 pieces and sending it back to your HO (Scan copy of cheque is attached)

                                        WE HAVE BEEN IN CREDIT CARDS BUSINESS FOR LAST 40 YEARS is your proud statement and a equally pathetic service to go with.

                                        You don't stand a chance against the prevailing banks in India giving excellent customer care .

                                        If you have little respect left for the customer you will refund all the money that i have paid you unnecessarily for the last 3 months (Rs-2800/- odd ) or atleast send a apology for the same.

                                        But till now I do not know the fate of my chq. and over and above you had penalised me with lot of charges like late fee and fine etc.

                                        It your fult and mede me penalised.. I do not know what you are going to do now, bu tI must say one thing very clearly that remove all charges that you had lavied on me and either return my chq. and take the spent amount from my and clear the chq. which I had droped in your box at the above said place. On failing to do so, in next 24 hrs time, thereafter I will go to the consumer court and lodge complaint against you.

                                        This is to inform you that I am the Credit Card Holder of Barclay Bank, they have not sent the statement for last 01 year inspite of several request only because of raise the late payment fees, service charges etc. Thats why the amount will be high . But suddenly they have hired a Goonda named as Mr. Walia from Delhi and asking for full amount immediately . How can I make the payment immediately? and threatening and torturing me over mobile Phone and land line phone. Not only that He has told me that I will kill your family. What is this ??? My purchase amount most probably for Rs.8000/- to 9000/- approximately. He is disturbing my Employer also., that wil effect in my service. I am a very middleclass family. I am agree to pay the minimum amount due in monthly basis.I am asking for statement But he is denied to give me the satement.Continiously he is telling me to make the payment otherwise they will attack me with their team. Please help me from Goonda of barclay bank. Only because of raising late payment fees and service charges and to raise the higher bill, the they have made this type of incident.

                                        This is to inform you that I am the Credit Card Holder of Barclay Bank. They have not sent the statement for last 01 year in spite of several requests through email and over phone. My purchase amount approximately was Rs.5000/- to Rs.6000/-. But before settling my dues I want them to furnish me statement of account, on which I can make the minimum amount due against my outstanding as per the Credit Card rules of the Bank. I doubt that they must have inflated due amount by levying unduly high interest, late fees, unnecessary service charges etc. Now I am in Bhopal. After coming Bhopal, Already I have told to Customer Care of Barclay bank to Send me the Statement through Email then customer care has told me that I have to go to Delhi for make the payment. But suddenly they have invalidated my card and they have hired a Goonda (Goons) named as Mr. Suresh Walia from Delhi and asking for payment of full amount immediately which as per this goonda is hovering around Rs.15000/-. I have told to customer Care executive regarding this matter, but they have told me that already we have closed your card and we have transferred to collection agent for collection. This is completely without my knowledge. How can I make the payment immediately ? He is threatening and torturing me over mobile Phone and land line phone. Not only that he has threatened me that he will kill my family. What is this ???. Bank cannot do this legally this type of harassment. He is terrorizing my Employer continuously and office colleagues also which is affecting my mental peace and affecting my office environment as well. I belong to a simple middleclass family. Now my family is completely unsafe from Barclay Bank’s Goonda. I am asking for statement. But he is denying to give me the statement. Continuously he is telling me to make the payment at a time, otherwise they will attack me and my family with their team . Please help me and my family from Goonda of Barclay bank. I think only because of raising late payment fees and service charges and to raise the higher bill, they have made this type of incident. This Goonda already has given the threatening to my aged father in law and father also. My family is mentally upset and my father is Heart patient. Please relief from Barclay Bank’s Goonda.                                         This is to inform you that I was the Credit Card Holder of Barclay Bank. Ref :-Barclay Credit Card no: [protected]. They had not sent the statement for last 01 year in spite of several requests through email and over phone. My purchase amount approximately was Rs.6000/-to 7000/-. But before settling my dues I want them to furnish me statement of account, on which I can make the minimum amount due against my outstanding as per the Credit Card rules of the Bank.

                                        My Credit Limit of that Card was Rs.20, 000/- only. I doubt that they must have inflated due amount by levying unduly high interest, late fees, unnecessary service charges etc. Now I am in Bhopal. After coming Bhopal, I told to Customer Care Executive of Barclay bank to Send me the Statement through Email or change my address in your records then customer care has told me that I have to go to Delhi for make the payment, because they have no network in Bhopal, and suddenly they have invalidated my card without prior information. If I have got the statement in monthly basis then, I can make the payment as usually. How can I make the payment instantly ??? . I belong to a simple middle class family.

                                        I was approached thru hired (Goons) named as Mr. Suresh Walia from Delhi and asking for payment of full amount immediately which as per this goonda is hovering around Rs.15000/-, Mr.Wallia has used abusive language to me and to my relatives and has threatened for dire consequences and has also threatened that he shall eliminate me for good. I have asked Mr.Walia about his introduction the he has told me I am the collection agent hired by Barclay Bank, whatever he wants he can do everything, if necessary he can use mussel power also.

                                        I have told to customer Care executive regarding this matter, but they have told me that already we have closed your card and we have transferred to collection agent for collection. This is completely without my knowledge. How can I make the payment immediately ? He is threatening and torturing me over mobile Phone and land line phone. Not only that he has threatened me that he will kill my family. What is this ???. Bank cannot do this legally this type of harassment. He is terrorizing my Employer continuously and office colleagues also which is affecting my mental peace and affecting my office environment as well. Not only that he has told me that he will destroyed my carrier. I belong to a simple middleclass family.

                                        Now my family is completely unsafe from Barclay Bank’s Goonda. I am asking for statement. But he is denying to give me the statement. Continuously he is telling me to make the payment at a time, otherwise they will attack me and my family with their team .

                                        For your information, I have been receiving these threatening calls from [protected], [protected], [protected] which have been displayed in Mobile phone. This Goonda already has given the threatening to my aged father in law and used very rough language. My family is mentally upset . Just 2/3 days before Mr. Walia has called to my Wife’s mobile used tremendous slang and Bad language and tortured mentally.

                                        Note :- The matter has also been reported to the local Police station at bhopal, and a formal FIR made against Mr.Suresh Wallia.

                                        Request to do the needful in this regard.
