Promises a 50 mbps line. Download speed rarely above 1.5 mbps. If you raise complains on their online customer service portal, the tickets are being closed by the customer service without any redressal. Customer service helpline does not have a waiting system and the phone disconnects stating the number is busy, please try later. This message is heard no matter when you call them. Once you have purchased their product, there is absolutely no way of getting in contact with them for any service related issues. When you raise a complaint online, after submitting, you cannot even look at the ticket's description. There is no transparency whatsoever.
They have been maintaining a monopoly in our area. A couple years ago, when we inquired for a connection from other smaller isps, they have complained that their cables seem to get cut every time they start providing service.
Even bigger telecoms like airtel and jio are unable to setup shop in our area. They are able to provide their service all over mumbai but they do not provide service in our area.
Monopoly is dangerous for competition and hathway has been doing it for a few years now. As a result, every member in our building is frustrated by the service provided by hathway and want to change their isp, but because of monopoly, there is no other isp available to us.
