Hi, I had taken a home loan from HDFC. The file no is[protected]. When I had applied for the loan HDFC told me that the project is already approved so need to bother about any approvals. They charged me Rs 8237/- and sanctioned the loan fairly fast. But when it came to disbursement of the loan they started all the fuss. They withheld the disbursement saying the housing project is approved but the housing phase is not approved because of some documents which they need from LIC. They kept this disbursement on hold for more four months. I was promised an interest rate of 8.25% when I applied but in the meanwhile HDFC kept on increasing their interest rates. My builder also started charging me interest rates because of late payment. I asked my parents to visit HDFC office to sort out the matter. But they went from one desk to another and was told that the disbursement will be released. I waited for almost another month. But nothing happened. When I called up HDFC they kept on pointing from this person to that person. So finally I made an application to cancel the loan. Now HDFC told me that the papers are with Garia branch so the application has to be submitted to garia. When I went to garia branch they told me that the papers are with Jeevandeep branch. I was under this harrasment for another couple of weeks. When I received the cancellation email I was told that the papers are sent via courier. Nothing happened. So we had to go to jeevandeep to collect the papers. But even then on the first day they only refunded half the money and some duplicate documents. Even after that I had to go another time to get the original documents. They told me that they are deducting half the amount because they have started the disbursement of the loan. But when I called up the builder, the builder told me that the disbursement is still waiting. So basically HDFC was cheating with me and also took away 4000 of my hard earned money

I truely agree with you. Even we are also very much frustrated with HDFC housing service. Even I am going to take my case to high level . Because of HDFC our housing deal was about to cancel but other bank saved our life.. My family was mentally disturbed because of HDFC's lethergical treatment. I think RBI should take a serious action on such banks who do not care about their customers..
I totally agree with you. I had similar experience with HDFC. I had applied for Home/Land purchase loan to purchase land in Coimbatore. Submitted all the required documents and processing fees of approx Rs11, 500. HDFC initially said they will fund only 70% of the total land cost as it is a "Land Loan". Only for "Home Loan", they give 80% for the value more than 20Lakhs. Since I said, I cannot afford to proceed if I have only 70% and was about the cancel the Loan, they confirmed that they will give 80% of the cost. HDFC did confirm the date of cheque issue and we did fix the Registration date and called the Seller, purchased the registration papers for few Lakhs and taken a DD few thousands, Also paid the seller the remaining 20% of the cost. On the day of registration, HDFC says, they will give only 70%. Also the managers said "HDFC does not encourage and provide loan for Land purchase. Because I am an existing customer, they considered for the same". The Sales executives say something and promise something, the HDFC managers, technical assessor, credit assessor does something. Never go to HDFC Sales Executives or HDFC for Home Loan. Finally I had cancelled my loan, lost the processing fee. Due to all these HDFC issues, I was forced to think about ending my life. I had cried a lot. But realized that HDFC is a cheater. They do not consider customers at all. Around 2 full days been wasted at HDFC office and no use. Lost the processing fee of Rs11, 500. Now I am praying god to get the 20% of the amount paid to the seller. This 20% amount is my one full year salary.



Friends, please go to Nationalized Banks only for Home Loans. Keep sufficient time between your loan processing, sanctioning, technical assessment by the bank and the final cheque preparation and the date of Registration. Do not believe the Sales Executives and their promises especially HDFC bank. If you want to purchase land/home, please do save amount (keep your savings in nationalized banks only and never in any of the private banks) and then plan for it.

    Subject : Fraudulent and cheating done by employee Imram ( [protected]),Harish ([protected]/[protected] and Poonam Pawar (HDFC CREDIT CARD COLLECTION DEPARTMENT)

    This is in regards to the card number [protected] wherein I miss priyanka keer had opted for settlement .Dec 16 received a call From the above mentioned officer stating that the last payment for the settlement has not being received and on the payment of rs 2100 the account shall be closed and a letter stating the same shall be dispatched in 3-4 working days.

    However after a week of not receiving the letter we are trying to follow-up with des so called managers on their cell and landline number[protected] who r disconnecting the call on hearing the name or a message is sent that they are in a meeting. This is repeated for past 2-3 days .Would like to get few questions answered .On speaking to Mr Imran after chasing him over the phone for three days I was told that the outstanding balance of Rs) 58000 needs to be paid. Wherein after assurance from Harish (Who is at manager level ) stated that the settlement is not closed hence the account can be closed by paying the balance of Rs.2100 .The said amount was paid to HDFC bank on assurance from Harish.

    1. Harish had called for payment on Dec 16 at 6.30 pm who has used profanity like (, I DNT CARE EVENT I[censored] RECORD MY CALL OR INFORM MY SUPERIORS).

    2:Aren’t your managers or the executive have any telephone etiquettes. As on speaking on the landline to Poonam Pawar (Useless and Good for nothing Resource) disconnected the call without even listening to the case history or was least bother to entertain the call.

    Kindly take action against such useless and characterless executives hiresd by the company who are creating a bad name for hdfc in the market.

    Also request you to kindly revert back at the earliest along with the account closure letter.

      Your customer service has been behind my life for just 200/- stating that I defaulted , talking to me in high pitched tone. I have been called more than 35 times in a single day by a male customer executive demanding 200/- else “being ready to face dire consequences”. I admitted my mistake and I clearly told that I have asked one of my friends to make the payment through his HDFC savings account but it would take 24 hours for my name to reflect as a beneficiary but your customer service executive kept calling me and asking for payment. Despite telling that I was in office and in client meetings I kept getting calls at my residence as well as personal # innumerable times from the same executive more than 10 times in a single hour!!!! The reason he had is to achieve his collection targets before 31st Dec but is that my mistake that it takes 24 hours for my name to reflect??? I have started the needful since I got the first call but your customer service doesn’t have the time even for this automated process!!!

      And it’s not a default, it’s just that while making the payment I made a payment of Rs 200 less and it got delayed as my savings bank account ICICI has withdrawn the facility of making online payments to other credit cards. Even if I make a fault, I understand that and would have gladly paid the late payment or any such fee…. But your customer service executive’s behavior was totally uncalled for.

      After I gave the reference # of the transaction and I was complaining of pathetic customer service, your executive is not even interested in listening and just hangs up and rather calls me up from a different # and blasts me back.

      This transaction has been a test of my patience for just 200/- . I have been treated as if I defaulted by some 2 million rupees and ran away cheating the bank.

      Is this how your customers are treated? If for 200 Rupees I am supposed to get treated like a criminal on the run from cops, I don’t think it’s worth the association!

      The transaction details are as attached and the reference # is 1184A1 and I want to escalate this as I didn’t expect this kind of treatment for 200 Rupees from a reputed bank like HDFC. I hope some action will be taken against the customer

            I had opened a SB A/c in HDFC Bank branch at KORATTY on[protected] vide A/c No.[protected]duly depositing an amount of Rs.3200/-. I was issued a Gold debit card as the authorities stated that it was free. But vide the statement for period from20/12/08 to 20/03/09, an amount of Rs.561.80 was deducted towards the debit card. I hotlisted the gold card which was not at all used, and gave a written complaint to the manager to refund the amount. Further, I went to New Zealand for higher studies.But since then, amountsare deducted from my account for services not rendered.In the latest report dt.20/12/10 the balance shown in my credit is Rs.1,142.55.I feel I have been cheated by the bank,and request that the amount of Rs.2057.45 be paid back along with interest thereon. The practice of HDFC bank engaging canvassing agents who misguide the customers must also be stopped. Moreover hard earned money being looted in the name of services like AQB balance defies the purpose of SB A/c.             I have a salary a/c in your sector: Kottivakkam (Chennai) branch. I am currently facing a problem where I am unable to make any online payments through net banking.I can transfer to third party accounts but unable to books tickets online and do online recharge.I have also gone to bank and they suggested to reset the password but that didn't help.               Online DD Requests - Be warned

              I wish to register a complaint against the Debt Management department of HDFC Bank. Please note the product details:

              As per my contract with HDFC bank I paid the outstanding amount on my credit card in 8 monthly installments. However, after the payment of all the outstanding amount HDFC Bank has started forcing me to pay my first installment of Rs. 4500 again. The due date of this installment was 8th May 2010 and I made the payment on 6th May 2010. HDFC Bank now claims that this installment has been ignored by the system since they entered my details on 7th May 2010 and I need to repay this amount.

              Throughout the tenure of my EMIs I had never received a single call from HDFC and suddenly this has come up after I honestly paid all the 8 installments. This is an extortion racket being run by HDFC Bank to extract money out of credit card holders.

              Please take strict action against this misdeed. I have all the written proof and evidence required in this case.

              Please note that I will be closing my HDFC Bank Salary account as well on 30th Dec 2010 so that I do not have any relationship with HDFC Bank any longer. I will be advising my company as well to cancel/minimize its relationship with HDFC in the future since the HDFC Bank representatives have stooped down to an unimaginable level.                       I had made a payment for rs 35000 against for the billing amouny, but on this behalf I had been called by Ms Neha who is looking after collection at Rajouri Garden Branch, New Delhi, I made this payment. But against this I Had a deal with her that she will provide me N.o.c or Zero balance statement, that but she will not provide me yet. What may i have to do I have to file this payment in my Income Tax Return.

                        I m nitin savakar raut,have credit card no. [protected].This card have settle ment amount 15,000 which is told me by their settlement deparment and I paid for the same as well on 15 may 2010.But they said that ur amount is 19000 which was unknown to me.and said that i[censored] dont pay this ur whole settle ment will be lost.
                        But this date is on 26 may after paying my amount they had increase the amount.Leagaly if they know amount then how can they collect 15000 check from me and how this is possible after paying this they can increase the amount. If any mis communication in their department then what is my fault why should I pay for this.Need help in this case .please do needful.

                          With reference to my card number cited above, please note that I am not in a position to bear the exorbitant interest charges that have been charged to my card, on account of my inability to settle the dues on time.
                          My financial position, on account of my hospitalization the expenses incurred, also the death of my husband leaving back some financial commitments and 2 children who are still studying is such that I have not been able to pay the interest charges levied on the card. Nor do I see the situation improving.

                          As I am keen not to get into a deeper mess, I request for a One Time settlement of my dues to you.                           Dear Mr.Manoj,

                          HDFC Bank Credit Card No.[protected]

                          I think I shall get justice

                          I would like to remind that I had send a letter in the month of June for one time settlement of the above card, due to my health problem.

                          HDFC Manager Mr Senthil from Nungambakkam ([protected]) had come home and discussed the matter and had explained to him the situation that I would be able to pay only Rs.25,000/- as settlement amount (in 2 monthly instalment) since I am not working any more.

                          Sir, I had undergone a surgery from then on I am having sever health problems. Photocopies of the medical report was given to Mr. Senthil, as he told me that he will settle the same on the medical basis for Rs.25,000/- . I insisted on the letter before I paid the second cheque and did not wish to pay (because I know my friends what problem there are facing without collecting the letter). He promised me that after the cheque is cleared he would give the same (i.e., before 27th of July). (More over I would like to let you know that when I was hospitalized your officer (Mr.Saravanan) at Nugambakkam office kept on calling for payment and harassed me my BP shot up the very day for which my Doctor is witness, in fact she told me lodge the complaint that day itself) I had explained this matter to Senthil, he promised me that no one will come or call me for payment. Waited till 30th and called him for which he said that it will take some more time since my case was medical settlement. I received the statement in the month of August’10. I called him he said not to worry and use the card for purchase. I mentioned that I do not have money for purchase. He again told me to give him some more time. I kept on calling and he was giving me the same answer.

                          Mean while I received a call from the bank for payment I called him he said he is busy and will call me later he did not call me at all. He stopped answering my call. I send SMS he did not reply. I went to Nugambakkam office and requested to see him he was not available.

                          Mr Saravanan came to see me and I explained in detail he said my request has not been processed at all. I was shocked and worried and said that I would like to complaint to somebody senior above Mr. Senthil. He said that only if Mr. Senthil process I would be able to talk to the senior person.

                          The same was conveyed to Mr. Senthi by Mr. Saravanan that, I was going to give a Police complaint (which I have not discussed with him at all). The next day Mr. Senthil calls up and tells me that he did not take the money and shouted at me I explained to him about what Mr. Saravanan told me, he said the customer dept. does not know anything about this and told that I want to put an end to this I will send the mail today itself.

                          That day in the evening I send a SMS him. There was no reply. Again I went to the bank this time met Mr.Vijay ([protected]) explained him all again he also told me that it has not been processed. He told me that he would talk to Mr. Senthil and as him to call me and told me to wait for a week. I did not get any call from Mr. Senthil, but got a call from Mr.Anand again I told him the story he said he will check and get back to me. I again went to the bank none of the three were available. I had taken my colleague along with me he call up Mr. Senthil from his mobile he answered the call and gave me, I spoke to him regarding the letter this is what he told me.

                          “Since I was going for a police complaint he will not do any thing and I was complaining about him to his colleague so I can’t do any thing. I told him If so he should has informed me this long back not after received my cheques. (he was shouting at me I was in the 4th of Nungambakkam office).

                          Sir, I don’t know a Manager of HDFC should behave in this manner. He should have given me a clear picture when I was calling me he did not do that, just because somebody said some thing he will not attend to my case. I do not think this is fare. I need justice. I am not working at all and my health is giving me a lot of problem for which I am advised another surgery for which I will be going and I need to get a letter before that since I don’t want other to suffer because of me.

                          Please let me know sir, what I am supposed to do.

                          01. I had given request letter for settlement and discussed the issue with your Nungambakkam Manager Mr. Senthil ([protected]).

                          02. Amount of Settlement was arrived and agreed by Mr. Senthil of HDFC on MEDICAL BASIS.

                          03. When I requested for a settlement letter, I was told, that I will get the same only after I had cleared agreed settlement amount, i.e. Rs.25000/- in 2 installments. (because of medical case)

                          04. After the cheque was cleared, even after regular follow-ups to collect the settlement letter, I did not receive the same.

                          05. After Mr. Senthil (including my current situation) the situation and the status was explained to the following responsible persons in HDFC .

                          03. Mr. Anand
                          04. Mr.Manoj Prem, Grievance Cell Officer, HDFC Bank Card Division, and
                          05. Now, I am explaining to you.

                          I was regularly paying till I had a fall back in my life, and could not pay any further for which I had asked for a settlement and all this nonsense happened. Now, I am not in a position to pay further, since my health does not permit me to go to job.

                          I therefore request you to kindly consider my case favourably and arrive at a closure at the earliest. Since I have an ailing mother at home, I would also request you to ensure that your agents do not visit my residence.                           My first application verification was done and after that one of your banking officers says that the applications lost. After one month I have applied again for credit cards as per the banks instructions. Again all verifications and enquiries were finished and I have received a final call from the department saying that, this is the final call and the card will be get approved. After 3 days I called to customer care. For the status but the banking officer said that my application is rejected, but the banking officer can’t explain the reasons.
                          I have applied for a car loan and I have canceled my lone application because of this reason.

                          I opened an HDFC Bank account (salary a/c) in 2005 and along with the account, i was offered a Lifetime free credit card no [protected]. This card was never used by me in 3 years and upon expiry, it was re-issued to me and couriered at my old mailing address (by this time, i had moved house). The card went into wrong hands and was misued and suddenly in the month of July 2009, i started receiving calls from collections team to pay outstanding of Rs.16923. Since i never used the card, i immediately informed the customer care to cancel the card. I proactively called the bank and discussed my case. The collections deptt of HDFC Bank harrased me on phone and made my life difficult. Since they were forcing me to pay for transactions that I never made, I requested them to courier me the merchant copy of the credit card transaction slips. The bank failed to produce any and to my horror deducted around INR 20,000 from my bank account directly. This is a case of chaeating. Since then, I have contacted many senior people in HDFC Bank including the Branch Head of ITPL Branch but he kept avoiding response to my mails. My savings account has been debited of around Rs 20,000 without providing enough proof of transactions.

                          I am planning to launch consumer court case for claiming damages resulting from misdeeds of HDFC Bank. I request you to highlight the matter in media and make general public aware what HDFC Bank is doing. This is sheer exploitation and needs to be stopped.

                          I am willing to provide additional evidences against HDFC, if required.

Bank official Mr manoj said that FI and all the documents are ok. But they rejected my loan without giving me any specific reason.The reference number given by bank is HBL=[protected]. I have well track record with ICICI BANK and i provide the all related documents to HDFC BANK LTD. firstly they told me that my loan is approved but now they rejected my loan.                             HDFC AUTO LOAN — Auto Loan Rejected

                            Recently my request for auto loan has been rejected by HDFC bank. They said that my name is in Civil List and they cant approve me the loan. Earlier i had made late payment on my HDFC credit card, but i had finally made all the payment with fine and interest to the bank. Still, they are not approving my loan. What can i do in this case?

                              I received a call from Club Leisure (displaying some Delhi number) and person introduced by saying that he is calling on behalf of HDFC Bank and would like to offer me a new HDFC credit card with unlimited credit limit. Apparently, the person already knew that my CC ([protected]) is going to expire soon. This is evident that the person has been given my contact number and my credit card details. He offered some free gifts along with the new renewed card. I, assuming the Diwali time, thought the gifts are being offered from HDFC (I have already received a couple of gifts from HDFC in the past for being a loyal customer). I was informed that I would be connected to an IVRS from HDFC bank and that I need to enter my card's expiry date. When I doubted that I may not be connected to the HDFC IVRS, I was informed that I would get a message from HDFC after I verify myself. Sometime later, I again got call from them and this time asking to verify my address to dispatch my free gifts.

                              When I did not receive any message from HDFC for 15-20 mins, I called up the customer care to find out that they have made a transaction of Rs.5509 through my credit card. I was also informed by your executive that HDFC does not have any tie up with Club Leisure Company. I requested the executive to immediately block my card and to stop payment to Club Leisure which I found to be a fraud company through the internet. Google lists down all the fraud cases against this company when searched by its name. Most of these cases are with HDFC bank customer/credit card holder. Upon further investigation, I found out that Club Leisure’s modus operandi is to call up the credit card customers and to offer them attractive gifts. I hope this fraud transaction is reverted and my card has been blocked on the same day.
                              This is also evident that someone internal to HDFC must be leaking /sharing customer database to such companies for a meagre amount.

                              I received a gift from this company which was apparently left at my office reception. On 18th Dec, I received my statement for November. The same mentioned about this transaction and that I have to pay by 3rd January 2011. I called up HDFC Bank on 21st December to inform that I want to return the gift as it is not a free gift but a forced shopping. I was informed that I don't have to make the payment for now. However, if it is found that I had made this transaction, then I will have to pay finance charges and late payment fee. (Reference # [protected])

                              HDFC BANK TIE WITH HDFC CREDIT CARD DIVISION — BLOCKING MY SALARY

                              respected sir,
                              with due respect i want to state that i am kallol das i'm having an Company's salary account in HDFC bank. previously there was dispute with my HDFC credit card bills which i stoped making payment lately and with the late payments charges and service taxes it has reached around 51000 in 7to 8 months. but from the last 8months i'm regularly able to acess my account and make transections. problem arises when i got 48000 from my company last week. now they have blocked my salary and incentives. just curious to know whether a bank can do this or not? means it was my company salary account and how come on the basis of credit card the bank blocked my salary? can i do something regarding it plz advise and help

                              HDFC Bank — Cheated by Credit Card

                              Dear Sir,
                              I had a credit card with HDFC bearing the card number [protected], from past 7 seven months i stopped paying the due amount due to my job lost, i have used only Rs. 7500/- and till date the amount of interest has been shown as Rs. 27250/- and last month i deposited cash for my personal loan and two wheeler loan a amount of Rs. 7450/- same has been holded by credit card people and withdrawn the money without informing me. After that i came to know that the amount has been withdrawn, i was calling to customer support and their manager Neethu Sharma for assistance. On 27th Mar by name Aramugam called and said there is a total due of Rs.17000/- and i have requested him that my PF amount is going to credit at any moment and requested him that i will go for settlement. Even he has told that the settlement can be given for Rs.9000/- and he said he will call me on 28th mar for confirmation, i waited for his call but no body turned up calling me. I was following up with his manager Neethu Sharma daily twenty times always she will disconnect my call and if she takes call also she will keep me on hold for some time and disconnect the call. Finally my PF amount arrived to bank and the total due amount got holded. When i called to customer support they informed that they will arrange for a call back, but no boby called for long time, and finally two days back some body called and arragned for a meeting personally i went and spoke with Aramugam, he says the amount has been holded and after 15 days of the hold date the amount will be debited, and still for this month there is a due of Rs. 405/- and he is asking to pay the same and get the NOC, i just walked out from there with no help. These two guys Neethu Sharma and Aramugam played with me giving the wrong information and on the same day when Aramugam called he would have given the settlement option, but never he bothered a customer. And now my PF amount has credited they are saying its not possible. Both of them played nicely and cheated me very badly. Kindly help me on this.

                                    Today I have visited to HDFC housing loan bank for repayment process of the existing loan. But bank representative told me that, as per bank process you will have to pay 2% penalty against the loan.

                                    Sir, I have taken loan in Dec-2009 from HDFC Pune branch. When I shown them the Today’s 20th Dec-2010 Local leading news paper news,
