This is with reference to my hdfc bank credit card issue.

1.in the month of january 2016 i called your customer care office and told them that i want to close my credit card account and enquired how much payment to be done for this. They told me the amount and i paid it by internet banking. I was under assumption that my credit account will be closed as per my conversation with your representative.
2. My credit card was supposed to expire in march 2016, i should have got replacement of the card if the account is still valid. I never got the card.
3. My email account on which the mail transactions between hdfc and myself are taking place is seldom used, i was not knowing that the credit card account is not closed and hdfc is deducting emi from my account and not used the amount for which it was paid in january 2016 by me for final settlement.
4. I got to know that there is outstanding on my credit card account, when i used this email account recently.
5. According to hdfc, i have some outstanding amount: why nobody even bothered to called me and asked why it is not paid?
6. If the account is active, why i did not get new card?
All this episode does not sound good and i am deeply embarrassed by the behavior of your customer support person. Would like to know if you can sort this matter and i don’t have to pay the amount which is being claimed un-necessarily.
