    Dear Sir/Madam,

I had opened an NRE SB Account with HSBC, Trivandrum, which "disappeared" after few years. I believe my account has been subject to fraud. I wrote to the HSBC Nodal Officer, their replies were arbitrary and unsatisfactory, which simply stated "Your account has been closed". Since their replies were totally unsatisfactory, I filed an online complaint against them with The Banking Ombudsman, Reserve Bank of India, Thiruvananthapuram, with supporting documentation, on[protected]. Though I got a complaint number (online) I have not yet received any acknowledgement or reply from the Ombudsman till to date[protected],

My question is "WHETHER I CAN FILE A COMPLAINT, SIMULTANEOUSLY WITH THE CONSUMER COMPLAINT FORUM PENDING ANY REPLIES/DECISIONS BY BANKING OMBUDSMAN?"

Please allow me to introduce myself my name is Michael Mason-Mahon and I am a shareholder of HSBC Plc. I am based in London yet I am a very regular visitor to India.

At HSBC Annual General Meeting of Shareholders 2010 I did address my concerns with the Board of Directors concerning what HSBC India has been doing and is doing in India to our customers.

I may be able to help you. I can assure you that I will do all that I can to help you. I have been very successful in the people that I have taken up their cases with HSBC. Now they will not let me help anymore Indian's. You may wonder why, ask the Chairman of HSBC Plc Mr Flint why.

Please go to this site. This is an interview that I did concerning HSBC.

      http://www.youtube.com/watch?v...

If customers UNITE in India and decide to leave HSBC India in support of their fellow Indian's, who are making complaints about HSBC India then this may make HSBC Plc take action.
They talk about their Global Footprint and their Integrity. Please look at the following sites and see what the Indian people are saying about HSBC behaviour towards them.

Now ask yourself is this the Bank for you in India.

So if you would like to contact me and send me your phone number I will call you personally.

When check with customer service i was assured to get the payment in a weeks time, however since i din't received the payment i tried to reach the bank again i was surprised to know that there was no outstanding on my a/c. Iwas told the bank has transfered the funds as these were miscellaneous. I don't understand how can the bank debit customer's a/c without the customer's instruction or permission.

I've applied for credit card in HSBC PJ New town & their service really sucks...looks like they only work each and everytime when we walk into their branch...I've visited them 4 times since Dec & I havent get my credit card yet as of today...I have not used it but i've already paid for the fee...i didn't expect this from such a reputable bank like HSBC...I wanted to lodge an official complaint to hsbc...why there's inefficiently in PJ branch?could it be due to millions of customers they've until they dont give attention&priority to us?or because we are the small customers compare to the other big customers?but i do see HSBC promoting their Credit cards in shopping complexes...why they promote ehen they cant even attend to a small issue efficiently?I just dont understand...

Recently I signed up for a NO-Fee Card (HSBC Gold: last 4 digits 8677). A scan of the pricing Table from the form clearly shows. the NO-Fee condition (Nil Annual Fee & NIL Renewal Fee).

However, when I received the card, I was shocked to see that I will be charged Rs. 2000 as Annual fee. When I called up the Customer Card center, I was told that HSBC does not give out any NO-fee cards, and that I will be charged the Fee as detailed in the information received today. Frustrated with the Agent (Divya: Emp Code[protected], when I asked to speak with the Manager, it took more than 20 minutes on the call before I refused to continue waiting, gave the agent my contact details, and requested to be contacted by the Manager.

I have decided to not activate the card unless I have written information from the authorized personnel confirming the ZERO Fee. More so, I think a deplorable attempt like this to defraud the customers of their monies must be condemned, especially if it forms a part of a system.

The bank has putted hiden/Anual charges on my card while they told me that its a tolly free card with out any charges - Comment #1414855 - Image #0

I was using HSBC Loan Account no.[protected] and I have already cleared the entire payment against full & final settlement letter DELLCRFEB-252 dated 25 April 2008 but No objection certificate is still awaited. All osudden I have received a letter from Mr. Shailender Babbar of M/s Jus Juris Law Firm, bearing Ref No. HSBC/ Del/Loan/O37-NPA/Nov-09/Lot-3/251, claiming the sum of
Rs. 130288.31 on account of outstanding loan. I have paid all the settlement amount (Rs. 100000.00 only) which was mentioned in settlement letter DELLCRFEB-252 dated 25 April 2008 , paid in 4 instalments of Rs. 25000.00 as per abovesaid settlement letter issued by your bank within stipulated time.
Bank stated in that letter that, the statement of the loan account reflect zero dues outstanding, after writing off the deficit amount. Further all pending legel cases on account of the abovesaid loan account will be withdrawn and the bank will not proceed legally to recover the pending dues. Instead of that statement, letter of abovesaid law firm, mentally harressed me and I have nowhere to go.

                Hi,

I have a credit card with HSBC. On Friday, 6th of November 2008, I tried to purchase Download Accelerator Plus (DAP) 9.3 Premium Edition from www.speedbit.com using my credit card. But the page subsequent to the one in which the payment details were furnished could not be opened due to some network problems. Hence I am not sure whether the purchase is complete or not. But when I called up HSBC's customer care I was informed that the monetary transaction is complete though the merchant i.e. SpeedBit has not yet claimed the money. I have mailed SpeedBit regarding the same but did not get any adequate response yet. I have not received the software at my address either. So I want to put the transaction on hold so that I do not end up paying for something that I did not get. Please advice if it is possible for me to put the transaction on hold by informing my bank i.e. HSBC.
                Please let me know ASAP.

                    Dear Sir / Madam,

I have a Gold Credit Card of HSBC Bank. I logged in to My Internet Banking account on 20/10/2009 First time and noticed that there are two transaction on my name. First Transaction is of Rs. 40000/- and other Transaction is of Rs. 10000/-. Both the transaction are done in the Merchant Name "Tata Indicom Billdesk Mumbai IN". This transaction was not done by me and amazingly this time, I was travelling in Train. I have informed back about this and they suggested that I need file a "Disputed Transaction Case" with Bank. I did that and they temporarily credited back this amount to me. Now they are saying that they are taking this issue with the Merchant Bank and it will take 30-45 days. But through this compaint

                    https://www.consumercomplaints.in/complaints/abn-amro-c22407.html

I have come to know that the same case happened with a Customer Also in which the Credit Card was of ABN AMRO and the Merchant was same and the Bank is pressuring to pay the amount.

HSBC Bank gives a Security device which generates a six digit Code without which it is impossible to made a transaction. Also After Ist Aug, 2009, it is not possible to made any transaction without a Security PIN.

This is clearly the Fraud By Bank and I request you to please have a look into this matter.

Both the transactions were made on 20/10/2009.

                    Thanks and Regards,
                    Anil
That is why I have kept my credit limit as 40000/- only. Credit card fraud is done by a organised crime syndicate. Fraudsters spend money on computer systems programmers, hackers and agents to procure card nos, pin nos etc and they use these to make online purchases hide their IP codes, change their addresses, phone nos, etc periodically. All this set up needs money. After spending so much money they will not be interested in small fraud of Rs.10000/- or 20000/-.

If we keep our credit limit know our card will not show up on any online hackers search who will be searching for cards with high credit limits. I think I better reduce my credit limit to 25000/- to reduce the damage and also to be less attractive to a potential hacker or online criminal.

Sir, I have been getting myself and my family covered by the TATA AIG for the last several years. As the TATA AIG has some arrangements with HSBC Credit Card, all my payments were done through the HSBC. I have on 22nd December 2008 covered myself and my family under the "Healthcare Policy" of TATA AIG for a yearly preimum of Rs.8,890/-. This amount was debited to my credit card account with HSBC on 22nd December 2008 and on 29th December 2008 this policy was cancelled. TATA AIG refunded the entire amount of Rs,.8,890/- and this was credited to my credit card account on 1st January 2009. Therefore there is no due payable by me for the above policy.

However on 21st January 2009, HSBC claimed an amount of Rs,740.75 towards the 1st instalment of 12 instalments as EMI for the above. As I was not getting the credit card statements regularly I thought the policy was not cancelled and I continued to pay the EMI till September 2009. Incidentally when I was talking to the officer of TATA AIG on some new prodcuts I was shocked to understand that the "Health Care Policy" was cancelled within seven days and credit in this regards was given to the HSBC.

After that I started sending mails to the Nodal Officer, HSBC credit card division from September 2009 onwards. So far I have sent more than twenty mails and requested them to refund the EMIs collected from me since January 2009. HSBC agreed to the mistake committed by them but informed that they cannot refund the EMI as per their policy.

Anyway I am fighting for the justice. In the meantime I was shocked see the Credit Card statments wherein they have reversed all the latefee charges on one hand and added as payable. It is difficult to understand their statements.

I want to inform all the people who uses the HSBC Credit Card that please check all your entries and verify the fact. Do not totally trust the Bank as I have been doing for so many years. This is a great lesson I have learned.

I am also getting forty to fifty call from 9.00 am onwards from the call centre with lot of threatenings.

Please AWAKE, DO NOT FALL ON THE TRAPS OF THESE BANKS.

Credit Card of HSBC — Irregularities in my credit card

                        Respected Sir,
TATA AIG on 22nd December 2008 gave an "Health Care Policy" for myself and my family members at an annual premium of Rs.8,890/- This was debited to my HSBC Credit card number xxxx xxxx xxxx 1731 on the same day. On 28th December 2008, the company cancelled the above policy and returned back the amount to my credit card which was credited to my account on 1st January 2009. However despite receiving the full credit, the bank started charging me the EMI of Rs.740.75 every month from January 2009 showing in the statment that 1st installment of TATA AIG preimum which I have been paying till September 2009 without knowing the fact that the policy was cancelled and the full amount was credited to my account. The bank was not sending the statments till March 2009 regularly and as requested by me only from April 2009 onwards I started getting the statment through my email. I came to know from the TATA AIG about the cancellation of the policy and immediately informed the nodal officers of HSBC on 25th September 2009 and requested them to look into the matter and reverse all the EMIs collected from me for about ten months.

HSBC informed that they came to know the fact only in September 2009 and therefore they are not in a position to refund the fradulently collected the EMIs from me. I have been requesting them to give the details of the higher authorities, they refuse and give no contact numbers. In the mean time without any intitmation, they have suspended my card though the next due for the bill payment is only on 12th November 2009.

I request the authorities to look into my statements and offer a justice as the previous record with the banks shows how sincerely I have been paying my dues on date till September 2009. Every day I am receiving twenty to thirty calls threatening me that if I do not pay the bill they can go to any extent.

I am sure this will reach the right person of HSBC who can atleast go through all the mails with the Nodal Officers and examine the fact and give me the justice.

HSBC is the most unethical of all credit card companies.

First, they send their customers incorrect bills.

Then, when customers don't pay they threaten them about CIBIL

My name appears as defaulter in CIBIL - Oct.2006 list for HSBC Credit Card. HSBC customer service has refuted about my being in the defaulter list. Want my name removed from the defaulter list. How do I proceed as I urgently want to be out of the defaulter list.

First Global — My name in CIBIL Defaulter List

I would like to know the names of the Bank, the amount outstanding against my name and the date in the CIBIL List as defaulter.

Kindly find below the Credit Card grievance.I had already talked to customer care in the month of June in Pune who had agreed to reverse the card charges and cancel the card. The customer care executive names are Abid and Deepak.
I have not been receiving any card statements there after which proved that the card was cancelled.

Kindly look into this matter with high priority else I will be forced to log a complaint in the consumer forum and the RBI site for the harassment which is done.

                              Hi,

I have received a new HSBC card([protected]) even when I didnt ask for.The card had some initial annual charges.Even when I didnt want a new HSBC card then too the card was sent down to me and now the customer care are harassing me for paying the due amount for the card charges which has incremented to some 6000rs.I havent used the card a single time for making any of my payments.

Please cancel the card and revert all the charges else i will have to log a complaint in the consumer forum for the harassment.

A girl called preeti from Delhi call center called me and spoke to me in unprofessional manner. If the customer care does not have the mannerism to talk kindly give them the appropriate training before recruitment.

If such things keep on continuing I will be forced to log a complaint against HSBC in the Consumer Guidance forum.
Kindly take a strict action against this.

                                Hello,

When I was working in Satyam, HSBC approached me and after all the address check sent me a credit card. Apart from this card, even without asking for any card they again sent another card which I never activated. When I called up the back they said its free for life time.

After 3 years, a person from HSBC called up and said there is an amount of Rs.8500 pending on my card and that the card is also blocked (By then I was working in Accenture). So, I asked him for what transaction this amount is charges for that he said it as ANNUAL FEE CHARGE!.

I was perplexed and asked him, why you did not intimate me that the card is a chargeble card for that he said it became chargable after 2 years. Again I asked him why there was no intimation about it from their end for which they have no answer.

Further now these people are forcing me to pay for it and also they say that they can give discount o[censored]p-to 60%.

Initially I was appreciating HSBC for their service but now after this experience I advice others not to go for HSBC cards any more because this bank is of highly cheating and they try to get money from customers by sending cards even though not asked for and charge annual fees without intimation.

My advice is all corporate people should wake up and re-consider their view o[censored]sing HSBC cards anymore. This is one of the worst ever banks I have ever seen.

                                With Regards,

My brother, who held credit card accounts with HSBC, died this October and I notified the bank about it the very next day; asking to block all his cards and also that all the balances/ accounts would be cleared once I get hold of the Death Certificate (DC) from the respective Government body (which takes atleast a month in India). But the bank's executives/ collection agents didn't understand a single word I said to them and have been repeatedly calling me every day asking for my dead brother.

I don't expect HSBC to grieve with me at my loss, but what I expected, from a bank that holds such an eminent reputation, was that they'll treat this case with a little bit of altruism and sensitivity. My brother had accounts with other esteemed banks and once I notified them about the situation they haven't harassed me and have been very understanding, unlike HSBC bank.

And what's even worse is that they have all the information updated on their system.. it's just that their executives are lazyasses and don't want to check the accounts before making the call. As such it's difficult for a family who have lost their loved one, on top of that there are such banks as HSBC, which won't spare a chance to SCRATCH YOUR WOUNDS and let you live in peace...

                                  SHAME ON YOU !!!
HSBC is the worst bank one can ever see. More over, in India there is no accountability for any firm of the way they do business. Even if you go to court also their stand is like this - if an individual could go to a court whatelse a bank can not do?

As our courts and law enforcement sucks, its better to be away from any such banks and organizations. The pathetic thing is Indians working there do dis-service to fellow Indians. Aren't we our worst enemies?

                                    Dear Sir,

I have HSBC credit card. I had done some purchases around a month back. I dont use credit cards very often. I did not receive any credit card statement whatsoever and when I tried to call the customer care for enquiring about the amount due they dont provide me because I am not through their cumbersome and overly sophisticated verification system. After I provide all my personal information and then they start asking me information like what is the credit limit of your card, what is the amount of last two transactions etc. When I say them that I dont remember these information they tell me that verification process is incomplete and they cannot provide me any information.

Added to this they do not have any email id where I can formally send an email asking them to reveal my amount due information. There is no way I am able to convey them the frustation I am through. Tomorrow after several months if they come back with huge amount that I need to pay then whose fault is it. Definitely not mine!

Is this the new tactics adopted by HSBC to churn out money from its customers? I am frustated by the kind of services provided by HSBC and therefore I recommend no one become a customer for this bank.

                                    Thanks,
                                    Roshan
