I have received a call from ICICI customer care on 21.05.2022 regarding a personal loan with a minimum interest of 8.20% based on the credit card. I shown interest as the interest is low. Then they asked for my savings bank account number for crediting the loan and I gave my number. After that, they told that the interest rate is 8.20% for the loan amount of Rs 2, 50, 000/-. I have agreed to the said interest rate. Further, they told that EMI amount for Rs 2, 50, 000 is Rs 12500. I asked that the EMI amount seems to be high (Your calculation is Rs 12500, as per the standard calculation is Rs 11330 for 2 years) compared to the standard calculation.
I have compared with the standard calculation, your EMI amount is very high around 18% interest rate. Then I didn’t agreed this interest rate and loan amount. But ICICI customer care official said you have already told me yes. Not possible to cancel the loan now, I told I will not agree. Then they told me that, one SMS we will send your registered mobile number, and you have to send a reply as I agreed on the terms and condition of ICICI. I didn’t reply to that SMS. After two days, (23.05.2022) I have received a mail from your customer care stating that, your loan process is completed and DD will reach my address within 5 days.
I have surprised, by how this ICICI team is threatening me. I believe that ICICI is very good banking and they are customer-oriented. But after seeing this mail I have shocked.
Now today ie 25.05.2022 they are dispatched the DD to my address.
Here, you see forcibly sending the DD even we are not agreeing.
I raised the complaint to the ICICI customer care official, they told once credited in my account, you may cancel with penalty charges.
This is totally against the customer.
This has to be addressed by ICICI bank.

Complaint marked as Resolved I have send mail to the customer care of icici credit card section. Then I have contacted customer care toll free number as provided in the website and told my concern.
ICICI Bank customer support has been notified about the posted complaint.
