ICICI Lombard is one hope less and greedy company.

One of my car is old and I was renewing policy with ICICILombard regularly from last 3 years..No claims until now. This year, they are not allowing me to renew, reason they won't mention directly, but my understanding is that the policy premium is low, so they are not interested. They want money and will consider only new vehicles, where premium amount is high.

Even for renewal they are creating so many issues, I don't expect how horrible it will be in case of claims. I request everyone to avoid ICICILombard and go with Govt. agencies like General Insurance etc..

    I am struggling to get my refund from ICICI Lombard for more than two years. The details are as below:

    2nd Policy No: 4013/0004409/ICICI/HL/0017148
    Total Premium Paid: Rs. 1,60,160.00
    Policies Start Date: 13-Oct-2006
    Home Loan Closed on: 6-Sep-2008
    Tenure of Policy: 5 Years
    Policies remained effective for 684 Days i.e. 37% of 5 years
    Refund awaited: Rs. 100,132.91 i.e. 37% of Rs. 160,160.00

    Following are my issues:
    1. When I close the loan the Policy discontinue automatically. ICICI Lombard did not send the refund of balance premium.
    2. After repetitive follow-ups when I submitted written complaint dated 1-May-09 in their Gurgaon Office at MG Road, I was informed verbally that the premium will be charged until 1-May-09. When I asked them why so when policy benefits were available to me until 6-Sep-08, they had no answer and asked me to mention in the written request which I did.
    3. After never ending followup over phone and emails, I was given assurance that they refund has been sent which never reached me.

    The pain of never ending follow-up has been much more than the peace of mind for which I had paid Rs. 160,160 to ICICI Lombard.

    I seek your intervention in the following:
    1. ICICI must pay me Rs. 100,132.91 along with interest @ 18% since 6-Sep-08 until the date of payment to me.
    2. ICICI pays me another Rs. 160,160 on account of mental pain caused to me by their harrassment.
    3. ICICI is instructed to stop cheating customers by charging them premium for period post closure of the loan post which policy benefits discontinue.

    I am 66 years old; my wife &amp; I hold a ICICI Lombard health insurance policy since last 9 years and have been receiving no claim bonus for years. This time i received the renewal notice in which my premium has been hiked from under Rs 17000 to over Rs 45000/-. On enquiry they simply said that they have changed their policy; there is no justification. Is this how you treat loyal &amp; profitable customer?

        'ICICILom=007-929-762' Insurance Claim for Motor Car Esteem DL2CR6750

        On 19th November, I met with a small accident by jumping on to a road divider, while saving a sudden appearance of a bullock cart on Rama Road opp. SBI Najafgarh Road Branch, due to which my car got damaged underneath.
        I was surprised to learn from the surveyor that the claim was not entertain able as he was not supposed to entertain any claim if the damaged part or its connected portions were corroded.

        I had applied for refund of provident fund from 7 months i have not got any information about the status of the same.As long duration has been passed, please provide the details about my provident fund as soon as possible.           I have taken my policy with ICICI lombard for my bike TVS apache, policy # 3005/[protected]/b/[protected], at the time of taking policy the agent never asked me whether i had made any claims in my previous policy or not & gave me NCB - 25 %, which is Rs 197/-, which i came to know just now when i asked for a claim. As i met an accident, i filed a claim (#MOT[protected], an agent with name Mr.Rajashekar visited the showroom & asked all docs & asked whether i made any claims for which i answered " Yes". He took the estimate, which came around Rs 5000/- odd and ticked & signed on it. But he infd while going there may be some problem with the NCB, which i had taken. I thought this might be a minot issue and they may ask to pay it and revise my policy, istead he called me & says this claim cannot be processed for this reason & asked to pay the NCB to reinstate the policy. This was never expected from a company having a nationwide reputation. I informed him that this was never my mistake as agent never asked me or i could have paid it. For which he said, he will confirm from regional head & again called me & said, yes it can be processed but will confirm after forwarding the mail to them. It has been 5 days till date. My claim was made on 25th Feb, since then i have been making endless calls & answer remains same. I did not get any revert. When i call to customer care [protected] for complaining they dont have any complaint desk, they provided some managers # (girish & some other person). I spoke to him & says this is invalid policy. So, is it responsibility of company to verify it before giving policy or mine whether the person had made claim or not. "ICICI LOMBARD IS MAKING REASONS TO ESCAPE THE CLAIM CHARGES"

          hi i have insured my 2 wheeler hero honda passion plus cover note no Tb1165405 they have not developed my policy after my bike stolen i have claimed they are asking for policy say how can i avail it for them if they have never gave it to me. i have lodged in district forum.

            I have sent the form duly filled and signed along all the original documents,
            thru SKYNET COURIER RECEIPT NO.[protected] DATE 05/07/2010
            Please acknowledge after receipt of this courier documents. Kindly process my claim at the earliest and send the payment to the address mentioned in the document covering letter.


            I have sent my request for claim by courier on 5/7/2010 and after following i understand it is underprocess but when i i spoke to your customer service on Nov 2010 informed me that the case is closed who have now reqistered new complaint ref 6388533
            pl ack receipt and let me know the status of my claim

              Rejection of genuine & valid claim of Indian Rupees 20,000/- filed directly with ICICILombard - Hyderabad on 28/10/2010 by the policy holder (policy no: 4034i/chc/05116166/00/000 valid from 28/01/2010 to 27/01/2011) Chandubhai Parmar has been outrightly rejected on 22/11/2010 (reference no:[protected] without stating any reasons whatsoever despite provision of all requisite doctors/pharmacy & pathological reports.               Dear Mr.Parmar,

              With regards to your provided details ; it is appearing at ICICI LOMBARD GIC LTD. that the patient was undergone through the treatment of CATARACT - A treatment which is usually have a pre-existing condition.

              You should note that with your availed policy there are mainly 2 types of Exclusions for PRE EXISTING CONDITION :

              1. 2 years Exclusion
              2. 4 years Exclusion

              Please note that Pre existing Condition is a risk with extant causes that is not readily compensated by standard, affordable insurance premiums. Pre-existing condition exclusions by the insurance industry are meant to cope with adverse selection by potential customers.

              It is said that Pre existing Diseases usually have a previous history and immediate treatment can very well be lingeron based on type of disease.In other words one may understand that to get the cover of this kind of disease the policy should not be interrupted by a period of 24 and 48 months based on disease. The amount of time you had “credible” health insurance coverage can be used to offset a pre-existing condition exclusion period in your new health plan.

              CATARACT is one of them and it requires the age of 2 complete years of policy to cover its expences.

              You should certainly go through your policy documents to have a look to the details about your PRE EXISTING DISEASE exclusions [ AS PER PART II OF THE SCHEDULE EXCLUSION 3.3, EXPENSES INCURRED ON TREATMENT OF CATARACT WITHIN IN THE FIRST TWO YEARS FROM THE COMMENCEMENT OF THE POLICY NOT PAYABLE ].

                I lodge motor theft claim No.MOT01438530 on 9.2.10 with icici lombard. In the due course i submitted all the documents including untrace report from police/court in the month of june. but despite passing more than 9 month my claim pending on filmsy ground that I am reveraling the information related to one key which i never received from toyota dealer at the time of purchase on 14.5.05. I submitted a affidavit in this regard but so far No action.

                  This is informed you that I was miserable accidented on 31 Jan 2010.I
                  lodged an F.I.R regarding this accident at madhu vihar police station
                  My bike No. DL-4S-BM-5654 was damaged due to rash driving by TOYATA
                  FORTUNER. My bike is insured by Icici Lombard policy No.
                  . my clam number mot016620 13 and clame date
                  is 26/july 2010.
                  I gave my bike for repair at singhala auto mobile, Mayapuri new Delhi 110064.
                  After service they give me bill amount about 3000. I paid the bill
                  but icici Lombard not give me the clamed amount. In-between I talk to
                  alots of customer care executive but the r unable to return my clamed
                  amount.MR VARUN superviser assure me that I will recive my cheq in 5
                  days but it past more than 2 month.
                  IF YOU NEED ANY TYPE OF CLERIFICATION OR DOCUMENT I WILL PROVIDE TO YOU.

                    I have a mediclaim policy from icici lombard,policy no4034i/chi/05025099/00/000. my insured amount is 300000+300000+90000.Recently my wife had an knee operationand the bill came to 260,000 rupees.I submitted the reimbursement form duly filled with 79 original document supplied by the hospital including all the medicine bills suppliid by the peerless hospital kolkata, including the knee trans plant sticker. Which they agreed as recieved vide cl[protected] and my claim no[protected]. Now they are saying that I have not sent them the hospital bill, inhouse medicine bill and the knee trans plant sticker. Which is absolute lie,those 79 documents were not white papers.So I requested them to give back my documents ,so thst I can show them all the document personally one by one.For which there is no reply.                     In this connection i wish to inform you that there are lots of victim out here who are facing the same issue.As per todays scenerio the pending reason with your filed claim with ICICI LOMBARD is mentioned below :

                    1. KINDLY SUBMIT ORIGINAL IMPLANT LABEL/STICKER AND INVOICE FROM THE HOSPITAL OF KNEE IMPLANT TO PROCESS THE CLAIM.

                    2. Payment Receipts Not Received KINDLY SUBMIT ORIGINAL PAYMENT RECEIPTS FOR FINAL HOSIPTAL BILL FOR RS. 2, 20, 000/-

                    3. Require Indoor Case Papers of the Hospitalization.KINDLY SUBMIT INDOOR CASE PAPERS.

                      1. Home Safe Plus - Secure Mind Policy no : 4065/ICICI-HSP/1936576/00/000
                      2. Home Safe Plus – Home Insurance Policy no : 4013/ICICI-HSP/273332/00/000

                      Both the above policy forcefully aligned with my old Home Loan Account no : LBCAL[protected] by their Executive Mr. Subhojit ( # [protected] ) to complete his monthly target. Which has been closed on 19.02.10 by ICICI Bank Home loan division to reduced the interest rate and transferred the total dues in a new Home Loan Account no : LBCAL[protected] with new interest rate.

                      Their so called friendly and helpful Executive Mr. Subhojit told me that the policy will automatically align with the new home loan within a month after issue the new loan, but nothing happened till date. And Mr. Subhojit not answering my call any more as all the insurance agent of their organization does,those who are selling their product with false commitment and only to achieve their / your targets.
                      I want my policy should align with my new homa loan account or refund my premium ASAP.

                        Dear Sir/Madam,
                        I have a health insurance with policy number 4034I/FFH/W-1193875/01/000 on the name of my mother. She was admitted to a hospital (Ludhiana Mediciti) in connection with heart attack.

                        In spite of sending all the document sought by ICICI Lombard people they have not settled the claim so far. On 09/10/2010 they received the query reply and as per their rule they take 10 working day from then. I made several complaints for this starting on 25/10/2010. All the times, i was given only false promises. On 01/11/2010 i talked to the floor supervisor Mr. Ratish and he promised me that my claim would be settled by 04/11/2010 or else he would personally call me. But as usual no one called me up.

                        When today i called them, they again asked for some more time. I’m completely exhausted and frustrated calling them time and again.
                        Please look in to the matter and do the needful.

                        I send complete medical paper and forms for reimbursement of patient Ms Nida Khan when I check with TTK third party of icici lombord mediclaim they told me there is short of paper.

                          I had bought a car insurance from ICICI Lombard Motor Insurance on 31 Oct 2009 which is about to expire on 30 Oct 2010. When I approached the insurance agent to renew the policy, I am told that the policy is already cancelled. I do not understand that when I have made the full payment how can my policy be cancelled.                               My Name is ashish Upadhyay. i have purchased online Travel policy for my mom on 22nd september through ICICI Lombard Website. But as usual, Transection was not succesful due to ICICI lombard website traffic jam. Amount of Rs. 1306 was debited from my ICICI bank account. but i never got policy since transection was unsuccesful. but till date amount is not revert back to my icici bank account.

I DONOT EXPECT A CALL BACK FROM SUCH PERSON. BUT THE CALL CENTER PEOPLE HAVE NO INFORMATION. TEAM LEADERS ARE NOT INTERESTED TO SOLVE THE ISSUES.

                                BUT IN VAIN. I AM NOT ABLE TO UNDERSTAND HOW THE COMPANY MANAGES TO GET "ICRA (an Associate of Moody's Investors Service) has assigned an iAAA (pronounced I triple A) rating indicating highest claims paying ability to ICICI Lombard General Insurance Company Limited. The rating indicates a fundamentally strong position."
                                EVEN TOP MGMT PEOPLE ARE NOT BOTHERED. WE ARE SIMPLY GIVEN SERVICE REQUEST NOS. WHEN WE CALL & INTERACTION ID'S WHEN WE MAIL. BUT OF NO USE.
                                WHEN WE TRY CHECKING ON YOUR SITE, THERE IS NO UPDATE REGARDING MY CLAIM.

                                I have similar experiences. Old policy shows all pre existing diseases mentioned. When renewed online, the underwriter rejects the proposal because pre-existing disease is not disclosed. How surprising!. ICICI is a company where customer support can be called customer cheating.

                                  I am a holder of ICICI lombard health Insurance Policy No. 4016/0003641/01/000. I was suffering from some breathing problems for last five-six months. Finally, doctors told me that this problem is happening due to 'Deviated Nasal Septum' and the only treatment for this is septoplasty. Then I apply for cashless facility but the company denied saying that Septoplasty is not covered under this policy.

                                  Although, I seen in many ICICI policy itself "Deviated Nasal Septum" is under pre-existing diseases category, which is well covered after completion of two years of policy. ICICI is treating Septoplasty as a separate disease, as it is not a disease but a treatment for DNS.

                                  Now I have done the surgery on my own expenses.

                                  Therefore, let me advice for further steps.

                                  Anticipating your necessary action in this regards at the earliest.

                                      There are three medi claim of Rs85920/-(Accidental:25506 Pregnancy:42813 Child:17601) which are pending since May’08 & July’08 respectively with ICICI Lombard general insurance. There was a corporate health policy being taken by my company Virgin Mobile India from ICICI Lombard under that I had submitted my claim to my company which were given to Raksha TPA for reimbursement & till date the reimbursement has not been made.



                                      Earlier the same was being followed with Mr Dhiraj Sharma of ICICI Lombard N.Delhi & as per his requirement had furnished the below additional required documents needed by him :

                                      In addition to that on 27th June’09 got the mail from my company to submit below docs which were required by ICICI Lombard for clearing my claim, had provided the required docs on 30th July’09 & the same was submitted at ICICI lombard end also but still the claim is not settled.
