This morning, booking opened for a Diwali special train at 8AM. I tried booking exactly at 8:01AM and I was seeing the status as 'Available 120'. When proceeded and made the payment, The payment was declined with the following error which I don't understand because none of the cases written here matched mine.
"The reservation as per your requested details could not be processed due to one of the following reasons
1.Communication Failure.
2.Berth Allocation could not be met.
3.Compact Accommodation Request not met.
4.Opening day booking (120 days in advance/ less than 120 days in advance for some trains) is not permitted before 08.00 A.M.
The money debited from your account will be credited to you.

"
(1) There cannot be any comminication failure when I have a high speed internet works all the time.
(2) I didn't opt for any specific berth requirement
(3) I don't know what is "Compact Accommodation Request" and I have not requested for such an option.
(4) I tried booking at 8:01 as per irctc website's clock. So I was on time! Any comments on this??
When I went back to try to book again immediately within 2 minutes, the status changed to "REGRET/WL100".
Now I have two complaints..
(1) Why was my first booking failed? And the website is so poorly designed that It takes the money and then fails. And the refund will be made after three or four days. As a software engineer, I see that this website doesn't follow any kind of design logics or ergonomics. This website shows its worst face during Tatkal booking time everyday. When will this be improved?
(2) Where were the 120+ confirmed and the other waiting list tickets gone in 3 minutes? Do you think all booked by the people of India? I dont think so. Does irctc working to serve people or the agents? There is no fair reservation policy being implemented here. When you have a quota for 'Ladies' with negligible number of seats(no use in that), why dont a quota with limited seats are given for agents and prohibiting the agents from booking from the general quota reservation tickets.
I know you would have received the multiple similar complaints from many people across India and No results yet. But It is my responsibility to shout loud again. Is anybody there to help!

IRCTC — deducted amount twice
i had purchased 2 tickets of Rs 531 & 1 of Rs 273but Rs 531 has been deducted 3 times & Rs 273 once
how can i know details about that deductions
plz help
