I booked 3 tickets through IRCTC website using Citibank payment gateway.

At last step following message came "Just a moment you are being redirected to merchant site". I was never redirected as the page kept on getting refreshed.

On other hand my money got deducted but i did not get a confirmation email or a message if my tickets are booked. What should i do?Finally the session expired

    I had booked a railway ticket from IRCTC on 19 sep 2012. But I had not travelled as my exams were cancelled.
    So I had filed TDR (Ticket Deposite Receipt) with reason "Passenger Not Travelled" for PNR Number: [protected] on 6 oct 2012. As per the Extant Railway Rules I should have been refunded half of my total ticket charge within 90 days of filing TDR.My total ticket charge is Rs. 600 but I was refunded only Rs. 75. I have complained to IRCTC twice on email :" [protected]@irctc.co.in" on 11 jan 2013 and 17 jan 2013. In response they said,"We would like to inform you that your below enclosed email has been forwarded to the concerned department.You will receive a reply in this regard shortly".But niether I didn't get any mail further regarding the matter nor any progress in my refund. Even after talking on IRCTC helpline[protected] there is no progress in my refund. I am not getting any trustable response from IRCTC.
    So please help me.

      I had booked e ticket from bilaspur to nagpur through train no 6327 korba tvc exp on 22.9.12 vide transaction no [protected] DOJ 29.09.12 after that ticket not booked with remarks PAYMENT NOT RECEIVED FROM BANK but my account had been. debited by rs. 198.48 . but till date I have not yet received refund at your end. Please check at your end and refund at the earliest.

        Dear Concern
        This is inform you that i book e-ticket from irctc site on 26/12/2012 pnr no-[protected] but i not travel because train was late more than 4 hours. So i cancel my ticket and file TDR . After that irctc make my refund on 1st jan2013 of amt Rs936 but my booking amount was RS1901. And according to condition where train was late more than 4hours refund will 100%.
        And second even RS 936 was also not credited in my account till now.
        So please consider my compailn and resolve it as soon possible.

          my self n p soni i have reserved ticket in irctc from baroda to bhuj on 11/11/2012 but on that day train was cancelled at time of train departure time .
          we was with our family & with fully ludgage on the diwali ocation , at 5 pm on that day at 5 pm at the brc station & we found on display regd cancell of that train .we at that time we confused for alternat travel & we do not able to process for refund .
          after that i have send fully detail for refund to irctc church gate bby but irctc have cancelled our request of refund with reson of delay of our process.
          so pls help us for our refund.

          I have booked e-ticket on[protected] from New Delhi (Hazart Nizamuddin) to Guna. We got seats no. S5-1 to 4. Our PNR No. [protected], Train No. 14310, Train Name Ujjaini Express and Transaction No. [protected]. But till date we did not get any information regarding cancellation of this train till 24-2-15. At last moment we would be in problem as you can see our two passengers are senior citizens. Kindly, inform us on how to cancel the e-ticket now and get our money back?
          Please do the needful and oblige me as early as possible.

No. of passengers :02, Train got cancelled but we did not receive any message from IRCTC about the train cancellation .we came to know about this after reaching the station also I did not receive any message about the process of getting refund .we received the message on 28th of may15 that I need to cancel the ticket online to get the refund.but till then time limit was surpassed and system is not allowing me to cancel the ticket.
          Please help me to get the refund of cancelled train.

          I had a ticket on Azimabad express (12947) from Vadodara to Patna dated 27th May, 2015 (PNR [protected]).
          The train got cancelled due to Gurjar agitation. I had booked this ticket online but still I have not received refund for the same.

            Dear Consumer Forum,

            I am a regular traveler / passenger with Indian Railways and mostly book my tickets online.
            I want to file a complaint against the Indian Railway for rejecting my TDR application on false grounds.

            My ticket details are
            PNR no. [protected] Train No. 12102, Travel Date - 27th Nov 2012 From Akola Jn To LTT Mumbai
            Four Passengers - Sanjay Sharma (Self) Alka Sharma (My wife) Kalpana Sharma (My Mother) and Pakshalika (My daughter) 8 years.
            My case No. is CCR 051212V63949 - I had filed the TDR on 28th Nov 2012

            The case in brief is that I had booked a ticket online as above, because an earlier date ticket was not available when I was booking my travel to Akola from Mumbai for Diwali vacations. Then while I was in Akola I got a ticket of earlier date under tatkal and I traveled on that ticket. Due to some problems I could not cancel my above eticket immediately and when I went to cancel it on 26th/27th itself I could not cancel the ticket though it was well before the train time. Hence I had to file the TDR - which as per rule I could do only one after the journey. Then I had to wait for the decision for a month or so. On 20 Dec I got a reply from IRCTC that my TDR was rejected because I had traveled on that date using that ticket. This is too much, how can I travel on that date when I was in Mumbai?

            It is a clear case of misuse of my ticket by concerned authorities, who must have marked me & my family on board and allotted that seat to some current passengers who paid good cash since it was a peak season. Had they marked us “no-show” the claim would have gone to RAC passengers which would have caused them a loss of earning which they did not want. So they marked us present on the chart and when I filed for TDR my claim was rejected as the chart showed we all travelled.

            I reached Mumbai on 25th and I have all these proofs to establish that my claim was right..

            1. A card train ticket booked in TATKAL PNR No. [protected] dt. 24 Nov 2012 Train No. 12106 which has all four passengers mentioned above. The ticket was checked and all o[censored]s are marked present on the ticket by on duty TTE.

            2. The Prepaid Taxi Receipt at Dadar Central Station which ferried us home from the station
            Receipt NO. ter01a0011806 dt. 25th Nov 2012

            3. My car was giving trouble so on 25th Nov I got the battery charged and checked it. On 26th it was towed to the service centre and I have a towing slip dt. 26 Nov 2012 for Rs. 500.

            4. On 26th itself I renewed my extended warranty and paid by credit card at Sai Service Borivali (Mumbai) Centre which reflects even in my credit card statement.

            5. On 28th I took my mother to SL Raheja Hospital for her scheduled appointment with Dr. Arun Bal. I can furnish that receipt too.

            6. My children have attended their schools on all these days.

            7. We have our mobile phone bills to establish the fact that all o[censored]s were in Mumbai on these days.

            So it is simple how can we be traveling on 27th Nov when we are already in Mumbai? Our tickets were sold which is an act of serious contravention of rules – which has affected us, those travelers who were traveling on RAC tickets and the Indian Railways.

            Another issue which I want to bring up here is that Railway Officers don't treat eTicket holders equally with card ticket holders especially when it comes to refund because we don't pay money to railways directly. It's fine, we know that and are prepared for it. But what bothers me is that at many times, the eticket holders become victim and end up losing more money compared to card ticket holders.

            Like in the above case, as per the Railways Rules a person should be able to cancel the ticket till the departure of the train and file TDR after that. But you see in my case I was not able to cancel the ticket on 27th, I was getting the message that Chart is prepared at remote location. Had it been a card ticket it could have been cancelled then why is this disparity for the eTicket? What happens if the person has booked the ticket and at last day he finds he can’t travel, then he can’t cancel the ticket in the day time well 8-10 hours in before the train timing. What kind of rule is this. So for Trains originating at Howrah the deadline for ticket cancellation for eTicket holder becomes more than 24 hours, he can never cancel the ticket within 24hours of the train departure time. But for trains originating at Nagpur he can cancel till 2 hours before..then why is there a rule of cancellation till 3 hours train departure for those Howrah trains?

            I have more instances when I suffered…

            1. The train was more than 8 hours late but still people who had card tickets got refund from the counters and eticket holders were asked to file the TDRs and finally after two months we got the reply that train was not more than 3 hours late as per their records!! This was on[protected] when I was returning from Akola to Mumbai.

            2. It even happened once when the route was diverted and once when I was not able to board the train due to the procession as train was packed by the demonstrators traveling.

            I am attaching the documents for your reference, please look into the matter and do the needful.

              I booked the ticket through irctc and not availed due to my upper class ticket confirmed in same train.I filed TDR for above tkt PNR NO [protected] journey dt 02/09/12 and filed TDR on dt 08/09/12 since ticket was confd. The ticket on which I travelled PNR NO is [protected] dt of journey 02/09/12 in same train .But after filing TDR its time limit has been over and yet i am not satisfied with the reply after providing required data to IRCTC.

                we booked the ticket thru IRCTC site, Cancelled ticket because of flight delay. Discussed in airport ,They accepted cancellation for ticket. Tranvelled another flight. in the attached document they clearly written on ticket. Cancelled ticket in IRCTC , we cancelled ticket 15 days back still not yet refuned. Please help me for this

                    I booked booked tatkal ticket from IRCTC with booking status of CKWL 10.Later some at Ernakulam IRCTC changed the status to CKWL 12. Upto CKWL 10 got confirmed and we are unconfirmed.Who is the VIP influencing the booking?

                      Hi,

                      I tried to book 2 tickets for 3-tier AC coach in GWL BJU Mail (Train Number 11124) on 10-Jan-2013. I used my CITI bank debit card to book the tickets but the transactions failed. I tried to book tickets for two times and both the times, transactions failed. Two times, Rs. 876 (Fare) and Rs. 30 (Service Charges) - a total of Rs. 1782 was deducted from my CITI bank account without booking any ticket.

                      Error message at IRCTC said - Payment not received by the bank
                      I escalated the same problem to CITI bank customer service and got the below reply -

                      "Dear Ms. Mishra, This is with reference to your query dated January 10, 2013. Our records indicate that you have made online purchase of Rs. 876.00 on January 10, 2013 towards IRCTC.CO.IN. We confirm that the purchase has been successfully made and the payment has been effected to the Merchant vide Payment Voucher (PV) [protected] and trace number 760839, 760887. We request you to contact the service provider quoting the above reference numbers for further assistance. For any further assistance, please feel free to contact our 24*7 CitiPhone banking division. You can visit the following link to know all our CitiPhone numbers:https://www.online.citibank.co.in/customerservice/citiphone.html Thank you for accessing Citibank Online. Sincerely, Anju KarManager Customer Care"

                      Please refer to PV [protected] and trace numbers - 760839 and 760887 and refund my money which is Rs. 876+ Rs. 876+ Rs.15+ Rs.15.

                      IRCTC — e-Ticket Not Booked

                      I was trying to book a E Ticket with follwoing details, while booking after making the payment using by HDFC debit card, the web browser did not get redirected to IRCTC portal, so i did not get any confirmation regarding the booked ticket. However if i see the booking history, there is no details found for that date. If i see the "Failed Transactions" under "Refund status" menu, it shows "Pay Status" as "Payment settled" and "Reservation Status" as "Not booked" for that transaction. Still the amount has been deducted from my debit card, this is very serious issue.

                        IRCTC — Difference in TRD

                        Can any one tell me that where I have to make the complaints against the IRCTC.

                        It was aroung 6 months gone and till now I did't get the refund amount

                        On 22 june 2010 my train was cancelled from asansol Jn to patna Jn. PNR No-[protected] Transaction Id-[protected] Reference No- ekt[protected].After that i filled TDR on 5th july 2010 to IRCTC but from 5th july 2010 to 17th january 2012 i havent received my amount of Rs-920 till yet. I have mailed before many times but they are saying that it has been forwarded to CCM NR.as soon as they received the amount they will transfer the amount in my account.

                          On 8th Jan'13, when I visited the site irctc.co.in for checking seat availability on 17th Jan'13 from INDORE (INDB) to HOWRAH (HWH) - Train No. 22911 (Shipra Express), at 7:34pm I saw as AVAILABLE but when I booked the tickets according to my requirement of 3 seats and made transaction it finally booked my tickets with waiting list as WL 50, WL 52 and WL 51. Can you please let me know how perfect is this link with the updations or booking. As per my knowledge it is the only link which allows to book tickets. I made a transaction on this illusion and has spend Rs.1431. I had to immediately cancel my ticket after seeing such good reliable results from this link.
                          I am sending an attachment which shows that after the cancellation of my tickets still there was availability shown in the link. ( Attachment 1- after the cancellation availability shown. Attachment 2 - Cancellation time shown on right end corner with the details of the tickets. )

                          I please request you to refund me the money or either make some reliable links to book the tickets which actually keep an updated data. Waiting for at least a good positive responsive showing a good long term firm.

                            "Mere Paaas Kambal hai he nahi khan se doo jisko chaho complaint kar do" his simple words when asked twice thrice to change the blanket

                            Name of TC- S K Verma

                            "Kambal wagerha to reuse he hote hai naye kahan se de dey itni safai chahiye to safar hee mat kariye" words of man who has responsibility of more than 100 passengers at least

                            on top of it " yeh private log hotey hai in par humara koi control nahi complaint karni hai to website par kar dijye, and started making fun of the undersigned

                            this is where Indian railways lies today which has a glorified history of more than 100 years

                            I know such episodes happen daily and common man only ignores but the statement of Mr S K Verma that please lodge a complaint against the management in website gave me this strength and wisdom to bring this episode inthe eyes of the appropriate authorities

                            hope this will atleast make aware the apropriate authorities how shabby the scene is today while you are travelling in AC two tier so lets pray to god about the situation in sleeper and general coaches

                              Hello Sir,

                              I need to get printouts of some old tickets so that i can show in my company to get the tax exemption under LTA. But when i am trying it in IRCTC site, i am not bale to do it. First of all tickets are not showing in the booked history. I have PNR no. for one ticket so when i am searching it with PNR no. i am getting that ticket but not able to print it.

                              Please help me in this.

                                sir i had booked a ticket for journey on 05.12 2012 having PNR [protected] and transaction ID [protected],which did not cleared the waiting list.hence as per rules it got cancelled but i did not got the money back within limited period of which i should have got.
                                so i want you to please forward this issue to the authorised person in due time that i should get the money back as soon as possible.for this i will be grateful to you.

                                  My terminal i.d is - INDEL0300016LM provided by irctc for issuing railway tickets but it was not working since 15th april 2011 and showing railway (booking / enquiry) services currently not available due to system upgradation.sorry for the inconvenience.In this process i am the sufferer i lose my customers/money Rs 10000/- taken by irctc for providing license.i dont know how much time they take for upgradation they are forcing me to take extreme step presently i am unemployed.please do the needful.kindly provide me employment by activating my terminal i.d.

                                    IRCTC is one of the useless ONLINE ticket booking websites if India, especially while trying to book TATKAL ticket through this site.
                                    the chances of getting a tatkal ticket is high when we try to book via ticket booking counter rather than this website.
                                    Please BAN this site and make railway tickets available only at booking counters so that atleast people will know whether they have a chance to get a ticket or not by seeing the queue.
                                    But in this useless site, even after PAYMENT PAGE you cant guarantee your ticket is booked until you can see confirmation page.

                                      WITH EXTREME DISAPPOINTMENT, I WOULD LIKE TO INFORM YOU THAT IRCTC/CONCERNED DEPT. OF INDIAN RAILWAYS IS INVOLVED IN SEVERE FRAUDULENT ACTIVITY WITH RESPECT TO E-TICKET BOOKING AND CONFIRMATION. RECENTLY, ME AND MY FAMILY MEMBERS HAVE SUFFERED SEVERLY, BOTH MENTALLY AND FINANCIALLY BECAUSE OF SUCH ACTIVITY AND SO NOW APPROACHING THIS HON’BLE COURT. PLEASE HELP ME IN THIS CASE OF COMPENSATION.

                                      I WOULD LIKE TO NARRATE MY STORY IN BRIEF………….IT WAS ON 17/12/12 THAT I APPROACHED A REGISTERED TRAVEL AGENT IN KOLKATA TO BOOK 4 (FOUR) TRAIN TICKETS BY HOWRAH-NJP SHATABDI EXPRESS (TRAIN NO.12041) FOR TRAVELLING ON 25-12-12. IMMEDIATELY, THE TRAVEL AGENT, MR.AMIT SINGH BOOKED FOUR WAIT LISTED TICKETS (WL 154 / WL 24 / 0000 to WL 157 / WL 27 / 0000) FOR MY RELATIVES NAMELY, S PAUL (36), S PAUL (11), S HOME (56) AND S SAHA (42). A DAY OR TWO/THREE later, 3 TICKETS GOT CONFIRMED AND 1 TICKET WAS ON WAIT LIST NO.1, WHICH FINALLY BEFORE A DAY OF JOURNEY i.e. ON 24-12-12 GOT CONFIRMED. TO MY SATISFACTION, I SENT A SMS ON 139 WITH PNR NO. AND GOT A CONFIRMATION MESSAGE ONCE AGAIN ON 25-12-12 MORNING AROUND 7:47AM THAT MENTIONED ALL THE PASSENGERS P1 to P4 WERE CONFIRMED AND CHART WAS YET TO BE PREPARED (screenshot attached and submitted).

                                      NOW, THE STORY TURNS…………..MY RELATIVES TRAVELLED ALL ALONG FROM SONARPUR, SOUTH KOLKATA AND REACHED HOWRAH STATION ON TIME ON 25-12-12 AND TO THEIR SURPRISE THEY COULD SEE THAT ALL THEIR TICKETS WERE STILL WAIT LISTED AND THE CHART NOW WAS ALREADY PREPARED. MY RELATIVES WERE DAMM TIRED AND DISAPPOINTED SEEING THE SITUATION AND FINALLY RETURNED FROM HOWRAH RAILWAY STATION. LATER IN THE NIGHT, THEY BOARDED BUS FROM ESPLANADE AND REACHED SILIGURI AFTER A LONG HORRIBLE JOURNEY OF 18-20HRS.

                                      I HAVE THE PROOF WITH ME…….THE SMS WHICH I HAD RECEIVED FROM THE NUMBER 139 BY SMS ( I HAVE THE PROOF IN MY POSSESSION) WHERE THE STATUS WAS CONFIRMED…………..SO THE BIG QUESTION NOW IS HOW THIS FRAUD HAS HAPPENED????? WHEN I ASKED MY TRAVEL AGENT…………HE THEN SAID THAT OFFLATE SUCH KIND OF SITUATION IS HAPPENING QUITE FREQUENTLY……………..ULTIMATELY THE GENERAL PEOPLE ARE THE SUFFERERS, BOTH MENTALLY AND ALSO FINANCIALLY…………..THIS IS A REAL SCAM GOING ON IN THE E-TICKETING SYSTEM (INSIDE RAILWAYS DEPT.) I CAN STRONGLY SAY THAT ALL OFFICIALS ARE INVOLVED IN THESE TYPES OF FRAUDULENT ACTIVITY.
                                      WHO WOULD COMPENSATE ME FOR THE HARASSMENT CAUSED TO ME AND MY FAMILY MEMBERS????? I NEED JUSTICE ON THE SAME AND WOULD ALSO LOOK FOR AN ASSURANCE THAT SUCH INSTANCES WON’T BE REPEATED WITH ANYONE. IT IS THE GENERAL PASSENGER ONLY WHO SUFFERS AND NOT THE OFFICIALS WHO ARE INVOLVED IN SUCH FRAUDS. I AM FLASHING THIS EMAIL TO ALL TYPES OF MEDIA SO THAT PEOPLE COME TO KNOW ABOUT SUCH FRAUDELENT ACTIVITY WHICH CAN VICTIMISE THEM AS WELL.
