Passenger name : R.M. Zuzarth.

Due to a road accident and a traffic jam while making my way to the Thivim Railway Station on 22-August-12, I was not able to be on time to board the train No. 10112 - Konkankanya. I immediately filed a TDR as detailed above. As per the rules of the Railways, the refund is given to the passenger after 90 days. The 90 days have expired on 22-Nov-2012 and another 40 days have added for the refund making it 120 days. Do not understand does the Railways have their procedures in place or it is just on books ? I am a senior citizen and I look forward to your assistance in expediting the refund of my non-travel on the said train.

DURING THIS JOURNEY AC 2 TIER COACH NOT ATTACHED IN THIS TRAIN . SO I HAVE SUBMIT TDR FILE FOR REFUND ME EXCESS FARE AND SUBMIT ALL ORIGINAL DOCUMENT TO THE IRCTC. BUT SORRY TO SAY STILL NOW NO REFUND RECEIVED FROM IRCTC . WHEN I CONTACT TO THE IRCTC BY EMAIL THEY REPLY ME THAT REFUND IS UNDER PROCESS AND THEY SEND ANOTHER REMINDER WITH ALL DOCUMENTS TO THE REFUND DEPARTMENT KOLKATA . AFTER THAT I AM ALSO CALL TO THE KOLKATA REFUND OFFICE UNDER EASTERN RAILWAY. THE REPRESENTATIVE ( MR M HUSSAIN , CONT[protected] SAID THAT THEY ARE NOT RECEIVE ANY DOCUMENT FROM IRCTC REGARDING THIS PNR.

      I have an IRCTC account which i am not able to access despite entering correct id and password . Thus i am not able to acess the account nor can use my phone no. and email id to make another irctc account.
      I want IRCTC to either activate the account or delete it permanently, so that i can use my no & E-mail ID .

        Today[protected] I have made train reservation through www.irctc.co.in, for 5th January 2013( Charminar express) and the waiting list was 126, when i made the payment i have received a msg to my mobile that amount of Rs.316.24 has been deducted towards reservation and when I checked my bank mini statement this was the note- IIN/www.irctc.c/Fee Rs10 ST Rs1.24/20121.

          Hi,
          I am terribly upset with the way our Indian Railways Website is working. The server is very slow , thus making the booking of the tatkal ticket an impossible one . The page loads for around 15 mins and finally displays error messages like "Sorry Communication Problem" or "Service unavailable" and so on. We have no other option other than booking the ticket through this non-sense website.

          Please do resolve the issue soon.

            Now a days, IRCTC Reservation system becomes cheat system, They are manipulating in movement of wight listed passengers while preparing charts. Some times before chart preparation and after chart preparation WL is getting increased. That means Wl jumping is happening. The whole system looks like corrupt system. Beware people of India, Corruption has entered all the places. It's sad for general people.

                Hello Sir,

                During festival times, the train tickets need to be provided more. 100s and 1000s of customers are not getting tickets to travel by train. If we travel by bus (private) the bus travels rise the price and misuse customers' money. Kindly provide more transport seats and kinldy ensure that private travel companies do no rise the price (with the assumption as anyway the customer is in full need and will buy it somehow) and misuse customer money.

                Even if they rise it, the dishonest profit (quoting high price and selling the ticket) they get from it shall be provided to the poor/needy.

                  The above portal is india's top needed website and this is belongs to most profitable Indian govt. company INDIAN RAILWAY but the very sad thing is it's worst site which you have ever visited. Suppose you want to book a ticket through irctc you should have sufficient patience, to book a ticket you need 30 minute to 1 hour+Multiple time page expire+Connection Error+2-3 time money get debited from your account (of course they refund the amount later but think if some one have not enough amount in his/her account then ?) . Of course india will shine one day but not with the speed of irctc.
                  They have sold all their servers to makemytrip, Agents or other sites in 5Cr. rupee and get regular money from them ...

                  Thats why they do not provide/take action on so many complaints...

                    Dear IRCTC

                    I am trying Internet Booking for last 2 days with User Name : suri_man. Both Days I logged in around 9.45 am and till 10 AM, it always remain logged in. I was making booking for NDLS (New Delhi)-KPG ( Kopargaon)

                    After 10 AM, Website goes down with error with any of Web Browser whether Internet Explorer, Chrome, Mozilla.

                    Today somehow, all details were filled and option for make payment comes but when I clicked the tab, site message said System Failure. Within a Minute’s time, more than 100 tickets of Karnatka Express booked. How it is possible ???? when website opened at 11 AM in the morning, Waiting of 80 tickets in Sleeper class came.

                    We understood now that THERE IS HUGE NEXUS BETWEEN Indian Railways, IRCTC and Big Agent Mafia. We are planning to file Legal Case in Consumer Court where passengers are made fool by IRCTC.
                    We will not leave this case like this. Your IT Department intentionally gives way to Agents who make fake ID’s to book tickets as a individual basis.


                    Please provide us your legal department address so that we will send consumer court notice.

                        Dear Team,
                        This is of so much shame and concern that IRCTC being in service for the past 10 yrs or so still isnt able to make its service fool proof.
                        Though so many change in timings in bookings and tatkal scheme being done, the quality of service is so VERY POOR that its a national waste depending on such a service. Indian Railways being one of the largest Train Networks catering to Millions of customers, being in service since the dawn of railways, has seriously failed in delivering a proper ticketing solution through mode of internet.

                        When Walmart, Ebay and other online services can cater to millions of request, our essential service provider IRCTC fails again. Cant something be done to cater to this perennial issue. I request the Govt, The Public and the private parties to please stand up and resolve this.

                        Spending countless minutes on IRCTC is serious National Waste, lets condemn this. It is unreliable, third rate treatment of a nation and of an organisation.

                        Can the true IRCTC official pls stand up and answer why is this situation so very bad...?

                          IRCTC Claims that the Tatkal service will and is for the general public to purchase. Well, it is far from the truth. There are touts and brokers who are taking tickets away. I wish I had an evidence to prove my statement.
                          Also, IRCTC says, consumers can book Online Tatkal tickets, but, whenever I have tried it, the site has been always down and showed this message "Service Unavailable". For this reason, I could not book tickets for my parents on a Tatkal Quota for the Christmas Holidays.
                          I Hold no grudges against the IRCTC, however, whenever a word has been committed for the General Public it should be maintained and followed religiously. Since I did not get any email for IRCTC Grievance Cell, so I posted my issue here. This is a matter of concern, when it comes to a priority of travelling for the passengers.

                              For no reason my User ID on IRCTC, is suspended. There is no option to re-activate my ID on website. The IRCTC call center guys tell me that my ID cannot be activated and I have to create a new Email ID, and buy a new telephone number to create a new ID. Strange!

                              There is a Toll Free telephone No.[protected] which keeps ringing without any hope on response. The other number[protected]North Zone) , after few attempts, connects to some server which, produces a loud noise of an alien. I got these numbers from Press Infomation Bureau, Government of India website.

                                i have booked a ticket to banglore and guwahati transaction id is [protected] twice the amount is deducted from my icici debit card,please kindly let me know the cause..and wen that amount will be refunded

                                but Rs 531 has been deducted 3 times & Rs 273 once



                                how can i know details about that deductions

                                Amount to be deducted:680
                                but this amount has been deducted from my SBI account twice.I got this information by the print on my pass-book.
                                so, I kindly request you to help me soon!!
                                And also deposit the refund amount in my account...

                                  I wanted to cancel my ticket, but I wasn't able to do as chart was prepared in originating city (but not in my city). I filed a TDR but by mistake instead of selecting all 5 passengers, I selected only 1 passenger. I want to cancel all 5 tickets linked with this given PNR.

                                    1. That I have booked e-ticket on 25.11.2011 by Orissa S. Kranti for traveling from Kanpur to New Delhi for dated 05.12.2011 under PNR No.[protected]. The above train was late by above three hours at Kanpur on 05.12.2011 and since my air ticket from New Delhi to Leh (J&K) was booked for dated 06.11.2011 (06.00AM) and accordingly file the TDR for cancellation of ticket vide ref. No.ekt[protected] on 5.12.2011.
                                    2. Due to emergency (i.e. flight from New Delhi to Leh on 6.122011 at 06.00 AM), I traveled from Kanpur to New Delhi on 5.12.2011 by LKO Swaran Shatabdi under Ticket No.03.178878 (copy enclosed).
                                    3. In view of the above, it is true that I traveled from Kanpur to New Delhi on 5.12.2011 by LKO Swaran Shatabdi under Ticket No.03.178878 not by Orissa S. Kranti .
                                    4. Since one person can not traveled on a same day i.e. on 5.12.2012 in two train i.e. Orissa S. Kranti and LKO Swaran Shatabdi, as such the question of non refund does not arise.
                                    5. Since from the beginning i.e. 5.12.2011, I claim refund from IRCTC, but every time IRCTC explain the reason that as per chart passenger has traveled.

                                      Dear Sir/madam,
                                      On the 25th Feb 2008, I made a payment for booking 2(two) i-tickets in AC 3 tier from Mumbai CST to Hyderabad on www.irctc.co.in

                                      The booking was for 12-Mar-08.

                                      I made a payment of Rs.1684/- from my State Bank of India ATM cum Debit card and the same was debited promptly from my SBI account. But to my horror, I saw some error message on the screen instead of confirmation of booking.

                                      I then went to the ‘booked tickets’ section to check if the two tickets get reflected there, but I saw that they were not booked.

                                      The only reference I have therefore is the following :
                                      POS PRCH[protected] [protected]

                                      My effort is to find out what '[protected]' means as the number before that is my atm cum debit card number.I hope I can get a reference to railways for the debit so as to proceed with the matter further.

                                      This is to inform you that I had one Confirmed e ticket with PNR_NUMBER : [protected] from Bhubaneswar to Howrah. Unfortunately the train was cancelled because of some reason. The Ticket amount was not refunded to my bank account till now, though IRCTC assured to rund the same within 90 days. Please sugest the step of action.

                                      I cancelled 3 tickets in the month of November. Out of 3 i only managed to get a refund of 1 ticket and not the other 2. It has been more than 5 months now that i am following with the bank and IRCTC. Bank claims they have not received any refund from IRCTC. IRCTC claims they have refunded back the amount & also gave a receipt number. When checked with the bank they are very certain the money hasn't come to them.

                                      When i discussed the certainty of ICICI not receiving the fund i'm only getting a common answer from them that they have escalated it to the concerned department and they will revert back to me. I am getting this message since 29th March.

                                      I think more than a month is an enough time to get back to me...

                                      I'm just fed back & lost all the hopes of getting my money back. I dont know what to do... I'm relying on this platform a lot.

                                      Pls help me with this. Pls write back or call me...

                                      Myself Sagar Mal Rathi suffering from IRCTC System, as today i got an urgent work in Kota city so i was making ticket through online in TATKAL. I was having Balance in my IDBI bank account and 137 tickets were also available in TATKAL quota. I booked the ticket and made successful payment and amount 367/- was also deducted from my IDBI a/c but due to technical problem in IRCTC i dint get confirm ticket.
                                      And its not happening first time. Whenever we need to book ticket in TATKAL Quota due to any reason we always unable to make tickets just because of IRCTC systems.
                                      Sometimes we IRCTC site doesnt open so sometimes page never reload.
                                      My problem is that if we cant make any tickets then why Our Indian system provide us these kind of facilities.
                                      In todays life this is one of the most big issue of our Country. Each and every person is suffering from this problem. The facility of Booking tickets online is just for name sake service provided by IRCTC but actually its a source of income for agents and officers of Railway.
                                      so i request you to Kindly take action agianst this system as soon as possible. And do the needful at the earliest.

                                      WHEN I AM TRIED TO BOOK A RAILWAY E TICKET BY INTERNET , DUE TO NET SERVER FAIL, I CANT BOOK THE TICKET BUT MONEY HAS BEEN DEDUCTED FROM SBI ACCOUNT ON 29/8/2011. STILL NO MONEY HAS BEEN REFUNDED.

                                        1. On 19/01/2012 while booking a transaction got failed and amount is drawn from my bank account i have booked another ticket.
                                        the failed transaction number [protected] date of transaction is 19/01/2012 and amount drawn from my account is 262. the amount is not deposited back to my account to till date.

                                        2. On 27/08/2012 while booking a transaction got failed and amount is drawn from my bank account i have booked another ticket
                                        the failed transaction number is [protected] date of transaction 27/08/2012 date amount drawn from my account is 337/-. You see in the statement, the amount is not deposited back to my account to till date.

                                        I tried to book online ticket on 23 ( sunday), e ticket through SBI debit card
                                        but it is not processed completley, and the money is transfereed from my account
