I booked FOUR TATKAL ticketS from DEWAS to GANDHINAGAR(Train no 19010) on 15/11/2012 ON THE INTERNET but the transaction failed due to system fault at the IRCTC website. The amount of money amounting to Rs. 1249/24 was, however, debited to my AXIS account, BUT ACTUALLY TICKETS WERE NOT BOOKED. . Their Failed transaction ID with irctc is- [protected] dated 15/11/2012.

So please do the refund to my respective account .

      I changed my mobile number . When I try to login irctc then it shows your mobile number is not verified, for verification CLICK HERE TO RE-SEND MOBILE VERIFICATION CODE and then i do the same thing. But I can't receive the code till the time.How i could be use my account sothat i can do make changes in my past tickets

        I got registered for railway booking with IRCTC but I could not activate the account properly due to some technical glitch.Now when I go for log in message of wrong log- in id or p/w comes. Kindly have all the the registration cancelled against e mail ID ld.thakur @yahoo.com so that I can register afresh .

        I had registered irctc but there I filled the wrong e-mail id. Therefore you cancelled my registration. my correct e-mail id is sgupta. [protected]@gmail.com and mob no. [protected]
        I am 62, a Sr citizen.

        I have the following grievances towards IRCTC.

        1- There should be a way to cancel the registration at site. Two times there were problems at log in levels & I was forced to make a new id for log in. The old log in id remain intact with the site owner. I am not able to change my mail id & tel no as they were used in old logins. What is the solution? IRCTC should offer to cancel the registration or should allow shared tel no & e mail ids. Best thing is user should be allowed to cancel the login formats with mail ids and tel nos.

        2- IRCTC is advertising for saving papers thru sms in cells. Do IRCTC expects the very old to have a cell and show them sms. If real motto of IRCTC is to save A-4 size papers in lakhs of nos, they should allow using a small bit of chit having tkt no, seat no and name of the passenger- all handwritten, of course with ids. This I have complained and suggested directly... but no ears to listen!!! The old people has to die fast if they have escape printing.

        Once my train departed 4 hrs early ( 2 tier a/c tkt thru e booking), ( MAQ to TPJ spl train) There was a rescheduling only the previous week. There is no option in TDR to express the reason---there were many options but not " the train started much in advance"... i lost 1250 rupees as I was forced to mark " not travelled" When they take all datas, cant they SMS if the train were to reschedule for 4 hrs ahead??? It looks funny...

          This morning, booking opened for a Diwali special train at 8AM. I tried booking exactly at 8:01AM and I was seeing the status as 'Available 120'. When proceeded and made the payment, The payment was declined with the following error which I don't understand because none of the cases written here matched mine.

          "The reservation as per your requested details could not be processed due to one of the following reasons

          1.Communication Failure.
          2.Berth Allocation could not be met.
          3.Compact Accommodation Request not met.
          4.Opening day booking (120 days in advance/ less than 120 days in advance for some trains) is not permitted before 08.00 A.M.

          The money debited from your account will be credited to you.
          For any queries,please use reference number [protected].

          We regret that your transaction couldnot be processed.
          "

          (1) There cannot be any comminication failure when I have a high speed internet works all the time.
          (2) I didn't opt for any specific berth requirement
          (3) I don't know what is "Compact Accommodation Request" and I have not requested for such an option.
          (4) I tried booking at 8:01 as per irctc website's clock. So I was on time! Any comments on this??

          When I went back to try to book again immediately within 2 minutes, the status changed to "REGRET/WL100".

          Now I have two complaints..

          (1) Why was my first booking failed? And the website is so poorly designed that It takes the money and then fails. And the refund will be made after three or four days. As a software engineer, I see that this website doesn't follow any kind of design logics or ergonomics. This website shows its worst face during Tatkal booking time everyday. When will this be improved?

          (2) Where were the 120+ confirmed and the other waiting list tickets gone in 3 minutes? Do you think all booked by the people of India? I dont think so. Does irctc working to serve people or the agents? There is no fair reservation policy being implemented here. When you have a quota for 'Ladies' with negligible number of seats(no use in that), why dont a quota with limited seats are given for agents and prohibiting the agents from booking from the general quota reservation tickets.

          I know you would have received the multiple similar complaints from many people across India and No results yet. But It is my responsibility to shout loud again. Is anybody there to help!

          Fator — reservation Policies

          This is a complaint I send to Holiday Inn Golden Mile in Hong Kong:

          " I have been a customers of your Hotel for several times some years ago, due to business issues I have not been back to HK for these years.

          Now that I am starting to come back to HK, I wanted to return to your hotel, but unfortunately my collegues in HK have desestimated this visit for the 1st of August untill the 5th of August (see my reservation 69029846 through the HRS reservation service) becouse of a misunderstanding with some customers I had to see.

          I am trying to cancel this booking, and to my surprise I find that I can`t do that without loosing the 3470 HKD that were charged on booking. Please understand that I travel very much and I book Hotels constandly, so I do this almost automatically, now that I wanted to cancel the booking I find that I will loose the total of the amound charged. This has never happened to me before, usually there is a period of time in which you can cancel without cost or a small administration fee.

          It is three weeks before my planned arrival, I just booked the room yesterday, and there is nothing I can do to get my Money back??? I find this policy very close to robbery, people who are so used to booking Hotels, take for granted that they can cancel a booking without cost, specially if it is with three weeks notice. "

          It is a very dubious way to make money, but it is certainly not a way to make sure, your hotel guests will come back to any of your establishments. If this doesn`t get settled, Holliday Inn is out of my address book, you can take that for granted.

          IRCTC — reservation status

          I have booked my reservation for 2 adults and 1 chiled in train No. 6529(Udyan express) from Pune to Banglore in Tatkal quota in AC3 tier for 18/10/2010. The charges have been debited to my Bank account but reservation not done.
          This is the reply I got for the above complaint from IRCTC. They don't understand the core issue.

          We deeply regret for the inconvenience caused to you in this regard. As your payment status for TXN:- [protected], [protected] was not communicated by the Payment gateway in time, the ticket booking did not materialize. The amount will be processed at Payment Gateway for refund. We ensure that the refund will be made at the earliest.

          In future you are requested to use the Refund status Tracking service Provided by the IRCTC. Select the 'Refund Status' link in the left panel under 'My transaction'. on the plan my travel page after you log in to www.irctc.co.in giving your userid and password.

          Kindly note that, your request for refund is under the reconciliation process. After reconciliation if the amount is found debited, the same will be processed at the payment gateway for refund. We ensure that the refund will be made at the earliest.

            i have have been charged twice. and my ticket is not processed.my ticket is for the 4th of November 2012.

            IRCTC — ticket not processed

            i had been trying to book a ticket on IRCTC. I made the payment and had been waiting it to get processed..after i clicked the make payment button, it asks not to press the back or the reload button..which i certainly not pressed..but the site did'nt process anything. I have no clue if the payment has already been deducted from my account or what..i am still waiting it to get processed

            I booked an E ticket IRCTC( pnr no [protected]) train no 18310 for an amt of 326/-due to floods train was terminated half of the destination.For that i was filed tdr on 04 nov 2012 with ref no ekt [protected].TIL DATE the matter was not materialised.

                On dt. 04.10.10 I have tried to book a eticket on irctc but some problem there was not booked a ticket then after I have tried and booked a eticket from Bhubaneswar to Koraput in Hirakhanda Express. On 05.10.10 I have seen my Bank pass book that the amount Rs. 821 deducted in two times vide transaction No.[protected] &[protected] but in first transaction I have not received a ticket or also not received a message in my phone or in my ID. So please cheack the matter and add the deducted amount very soon.
                The above ticket was booked on[protected] and amount was Rs.664

                  i have filed TDR in IRCTC site ,my date of journey was[protected],but i didnt travelled ,on date 14th decemebr 2012 i filed the TDR.
                  and according to rule its required minimum 90 days to refund the money,i sent mail to irctc cutomer care 5-6 times and he replied onlythat he has forwarded the mail to the concerned person.

                  MY PNR NUMBER is [protected] and have applied for File TDR and got

                      Chart preparation and information are not on right time. Due to this, I had to cancel my ticket, had to detain my journey.

                      Hi,

                      Today I, Diptesh Ghosh (PNR No : [protected]) had to cancel ticket of the Sealdah Rajdhani Express as due reason of not receiving the reservation status on proper time, where it's departure time is 4.50 PM IST.

                      I have booked a Tatkal Reservation for 27-Oct.-2012 trip, My ticket status was WL54 at the time of booking, then it was WL43 till 2pm, again that status was changed to WL36 at 3PM on 28th Oct 2012.

                      I was trying to reach railway Enquiry & customer care for our ticket status for confirmation, but we didn't get the correct information.

                      According to customer care, chart should be prepared before 2 hours before the departure time 4.50 PM IST. Online PNR status (www.indianrail.gov.in) was showing CHART NOT PREPARED till 3.00 PM IST and was also showing our reservation status WL36. I don't know, why railway system is correcting it's failure for which people are suffering in this type incident. I believe, there might have some manipulation for this incident, Railway department has no right to put the passengers in suffering for their computability, if there is any failure in the system it should be informed in prior time.

                      I'm staying far away from Sealdah railway station and it takes 1 hr 40 min to reach the station premises, if i don't get sufficient time to start my journey towards Railway station, its impossible to reach. because Railway department is not going to take care of my transportation towards the stations, for which I had to cancel the ticket & had to change journey date. For this I want proper justice for this railway system failure/negligence.

                      Kindly note this as a formal application to railway system and if it is not a correct address, please forward our concern to proper channel. If this subject is not actively taken to proper channel, i may go-ahead to help of Indian Law for a common citizen to get proper justification.

After entering the details of one passengers, I made the payment using SBI online. After making the payment I got the message that the session is expired.

                        I checked my SBI bank transactions and I can see a payment of 476.24/- made. However when I see the list under "Booked Tickets" on the website, I dont see any reservation made.

                        Please advise what to be done since I have made a payment and there is no booking done by the website.

                          Like i mentioned in the subject, CLOSE, SHUTDOWN, DELETE, THROW AWAY this pathetic website!!!!!!

                          For god's sake this is not working at all!!!!

                          only thing which works faster in this site is SIGNOUT button and money transaction part(that also fails most of the time)

                          what is the point in having this site?????? Please share if you have one good reason!!!!
                          The services of online booking facility was primarily meant for the citizens who do not stand in the Q fighting with the roudy people sent by the agents who dominates the counter booking system. But to get more revenues, the IRCTC has opened the floodgate to the Booking agents also who uses numerous fake identities to book tickets and charge a hefty amount from the passengers. Thus the website gets choked and most of the time, it remains shut down for the general public. When the authorities are unable to cope with huge load on the server, why not withdraw the facility of booking by the agents. Let them continue to send thugs to the booking counter and book tickets for their own business..

                            Hello, Today (26/10/2012) I have done an online transaction to purchase a ticket on 12394 SAMPOORN KRANTI EXP. from NEW DELHI to PATNA on 29/11/2012 for ME Unfortunately after the payment was made through sbi debit cum atm cum payment gateway, the error, "REDIRECT=https://www.irctc.co.in/cgi-bin/bv60.dll/irctc/booking/bankrespon... came up without giving me the confirmation of the payment and neither the ticket is generated.                               My refund is rejected with reason that I didn’t applied within the defined time.
                              But TDR was filed within the same month, so how come they can say that “Refund was not claimed within prescribed time”.

                              I am going to file a consumer complaint against IRCTC and not the Indian Railway, as you peoples are frontend for the same and the rules are stated on your site and not for Railways.

                              TDR Rules
                              • The TDR Refund will be processed as per Extant Railway Rules.
                              • TDR should be filed within 30 days of Departure of Train.
                              • The refund process will take at-least 90 days and more
                              • E-ticket refund request (after chart preparation) can be filed online.
                              • In case of i-ticket, online refund request is not allowed. For i-ticket please follow the following procedure:
                              • Surrender the I-Ticket with the Station Master and obtain a Ticket Deposit Receipt.
                              • Send your claim for refund to the following address attaching the original copy of the TDR to:

                              GGM/IT,
                              Indian Railway Catering & Tourism, Corporation Ltd.,
                              Internet Ticketing Center,
                              State Entry Road, New Delhi - 110 055.
                              • IRCTC will process the refund claim with the Railway Administration and refund granted by the Railway shall be credited to your account.
                              • Refund claims under above clause may require at least 90 days or more for processing.

                              my name is Saurabh i filed a tdr on date 16/7/2010 due to irregularity of samarsata express.... of pnr no [protected]................ its over 90 days i havent received the refunded amount.. i booked the ticket on 11/7/2010. n the supposed journey was on 14/7/2010. Hope you do the needful....

                                THE WORST SITE I HAVE EVER SEEN IN MY LIFE , IRCTC IS DOING NOTHING MORE THAN MAKING MONEY , DAILY THEY BOOK TICKETS IN MILLIONS OR SOMETIMES BILLIONS IN RUPEES BUT DON'T USE EVEN A LITTLE PORTION OF PROFIT IN INCREASING THE SITE'S BANDWIDTH , THAT WILL JUST COST THEM IN SOME THOUSAND'S BUT INDEED THEY JUST EVEN DON'T WANNA SPEND EVEN A PENNY SO THAT SITE CAN WORK WELL , ATLEAST THEY CAN EVEN RENT SOME BANDWIDTH FROM SOME OTHER HOSTING COMPANIES LIKE BIGROCK OR HOSTGATOR , BUT THEY WILL NOT , THEY ARE USING SUCH AN OUTDATED HOSTING AND BANDWIDTH METHOD THAT'S JUST WORST , THIS SHOWS THE REPUTATION OF OUR COUNTRY IN FOREIGN MARKET , THERE ARE MANY SITES OTHER THAN IRCTC WHO HAVE MUCH BETTER RANK AND WORK VERY VERY FAST EVEN DURING EMERGENCY OR TATKAL BOOKINGS , BUT INDEED WHAT CAN I SAY IS IN INDIA NO ONW WANNA WORK SOCIALLY , ALL THEY JUST WANT IS FILL THEIR OWN POCKETS AND CARES NOTHING FOR OTHER AND EVEN AFTER THAT THEY PRETEND TO BE THE BEST CARE TAKER .INDIA IS JUST DOWNGRADED BY SUCH THOSE PEOPLE WHO NEVER WORK FOR COUNTRY BUT FOR THEIR OWN SAKE ONLY.

                                  i did reserve ticket for trichy to Bangalore in mysore express for[protected]. i canceled ticket and it was not showing any thing in the canceled status. but if i was doing canceled second time then it is showing that it is already canceled. i check status in pnr number then it was showing can/mod status.
                                  but i did not get my money back.

                                  please check this and give me my money back. this is matter of trust of customer on the irctc. and you can not take my money like this. return my money.

                                  SIR I had BOOKED A RAIL TICKET in favour of my ralative namely AMAL BISWAS of RS 487/- to travel on sealadha express on 01/10/09. the amount was deducted from my credit card and ticket was made print (transaction id as [protected]) THROUGH LOGIN IRCTC (MY USER ID AS manju110) on 06/08/09. while MY RELATIVE ascended on the said train he was fined RS 700/- byTTE and was told by the TTE that that irctc ticket was not valid as the amount was not received from concerned bank. in this connection I ASKED TO BANK whether the amount was deducted from my account for the above booked ticket or other wise and I was replied that RS 487/- has been deducted from your account for booking the said ticket.although the said amount deducted from my account but the ticket was invalid. keeping in view of above take action accordingly so that i can able to refund the said amount. in this connection I had lodged complain to irctc through net but reply was not given to me yet. plz take n/a. thaking you with courteous recognition.

                                  I was booked my online ticket on 26th october 2012 from jaipur to delhi sarai rohilla. At the time of booking my transaction had been failed (transaction id [protected]). The particular ticket was not booked at that time, but amount i.e Rs. 740 was deducted from my axis bank account. In refund status of failed transaction shows refunded but amount is not refunded. The scaned axis statement is attached with this mail.

                                    irctc railway ticket — failure of ticket

                                      IRCTC online service for rail reservation is very very poor...
                                      It can't handle its users online; specially at 10:00 AM (Tatkal Time) ...
                                      IRCTC "must" learn from GOOGLE who handles users all over the world with no delay...

                                      I tried to book tatkal ticket (availability: 154 tkts); i succeeded till payment (amount deducted from my account) but after that BOOOOM... Service Unavailable, hahahaha...
                                      Again i tried (availability: 94 tkts); i succeeded till make payment but then hahahahaha......
                                      I tried 3rd time (availability: 09 tkts); i succeeded till make payment & saw waiting list 15 ....... sooo funny...
                                      i don't know how much my blood was vaporized during this rubbish "1 hour 20 mins" process ...

                                      My question is that if i paid the amount when availability was 154 then during 2nd attempt why availability was 94, it should be ZERO.

                                      Sir, i tried their customer care no. but of no use
                                      Its my request please ask my question to IRCTC.

                                        Day to day IRCTC is becoming worst. If they have any server problem, then they need to stop the service temporarily and they need to work on that.Apart from that IRCTC is running business with inefficient server. By this customers are loosing impression on the site and at the same time customers are loosing their money too.. So I request the concern department to take necessary step for improving the service.
