I moved out on 10th August 2020.
All the inspection and move out formalities have been already completed. It was mentioned by NestAway that I will get my security deposit refund within 7 to 14 days from the move out date. So far I haven’t received anything except a Rs. 1 credit in my bank account yesterday.
I think NestAway is taking this as a joke or is highly irresponsible and has no idea how to do their work.
They have disabled their customer service helpline and there is literally no way to contact them.
I’m a lawyer, I know my ways to get my money back and won’t stop right here, just a heads up that this is the first step and if I don’t get any revert from them I will file another complaint against them and won’t mind going to the court because that is my job and that is what I do for a living.

As soon as I lodged the complaint, I got an automated reply from consumercomplaints.in that my complaint has been notified to Nestaway Technologies. Within 3 hours I received a message from NestAway that my security deposit refund has been credited. Thanks a lot!

    I have left the house two months back. They promised me to give back my security deposit within 7 days. But its been two months i haven't received my money. They are not responding to any calls or mail.

      Hi,

      I have vacated the flat 3 months ago i took on rent from Nestaway but they are not giving my deposit amount back.

      They have only refunded 6000 and rest of amount they are not refunding from 3 months.

      my total amount on dashboard was 19006 after inspection but this people deducting some amount everyday from it and not refunding my deposit.

      i have opened more than 20 requests but they are closing my request without any proper update. sometimes they are saying in request we refunded you amount but i am not receiving anything and when i am asking them again they are saying we will inform to concern team and sorry we have not refunded the amount.

      It would appreciate if i get my deposit back from Nestaway through this forum.

      below are the few request numbers i have opened with nestaway on which i am not getting resolution simply they are closing tickets with wrong update.

        Myself Praneeth, i've rented a flat (#314, swarna silicon minos, Hoodi) in Bangalore through Nestaway in the month of December 2019. While booking the house Nestaway charged me a 2 month Advance amount and i have paid it, now (on August 2nd) i have vacated the house with a prior notice of 15 days. but still i didn't receive my Advance amount as of today. I have raised ticket on nestaway platform and escalated it to multiple levels and still there isn't even a phone call from customer service.

            I am writing this with regards to nesaway technologies, banglore not returning my security deposit since four months. Since then i have raised numerous tickets in their portal. Each of them has been closed with comments like they have processed the money and will be credited within 4-5 business days. Recently i have raised another ticket for which there is no reply from their side. Just wondering if this is their response for a mere security deposit amount of 20k then what all things they might be doing for a large amount. Have you guys gone bankrupt?.

              I am extensively disappointed with Nestaway services from the time I moved in till the time I put in a move out request on 22/08/20. I rented a flat under nestaway in Pune, Kharadi and we got a notification from nestaway that the property has been offboarded. I initiated a move out request from the nestaway property and I had been told that the inspection would be done on 22/08/20. Since then it has already been 48 hours and I have also escalated a service request regarding the same, but I have not received any calls either from nestaway customer care or anyone from inspection team. I am utterly disappointed with nestaway services and need a quick settlement of the issue so that my refund process can be started.

                Hi Team,

                I rented an apartment from Nestaway in year 2019 with the below deal:
                1. Deposit of Rs.54, 000 was taken. (including) ONBOARDING CHARGES 4000.0 + TOKEN 5400.0 + SECURITY_DEPOSIT 37600.0
                2. Utility bills will be paid by the tenant

                After staying in the flat for more than a year I got to know that Nestaway kept delaying utility bills, while I paid all bills on time and due to this all utilities were shut down. I tried communicating with Nestaway but when no one is replied and customer service is not at all responding, I decided to move out.

                Now the issue is I am not getting any response from Nestaway for my security deposit. Also, they have added ₹ 6439.0 for the Utility bill fine which Nestaway hasn't paid on time + Maintenance move out charges ₹ 1100.0 which is unnecessary.

                I am attaching the bills screenshot for reference. I have all the proofs for all the communication I did.

                They had to return ₹ 43000 to me.

                Please help with how to proceed.

                  I have vacated my flat already. Out of 30000 security they deducted 12000 as move out charges. In the dashboard they show security as only 26000 not evrn 30000. they took 4000 mine too.
                  I m still waiting for my 18000 rs. there customer care is not working.
                  they are not replying the emails.

                    My schedule move-out had been set on 9th August 2020. Inspection was also scheduled on the same day. Nobody came from the company. I had to leave the keys with a relative as I was moving out of the city the next day. I tried to contact them several times through call and social media but got automated responses every time.
                    On 11th August they contacted me for inspection and completed the process. On 12th I checked their app, they had removed my stay data and all deposit related info. I raised a ticket to get my deposit info and any deductions info but not getting any response even after escalating it to level 4.
                    As per their policy I should have received the refund within 2 weeks of moving out. Today is the last day of 2 weeks and still no response from their side.
                    Their social media pages are flooded with similar complaints with only automated responses and no solution. I'm afraid they are not going to refund any of the deposit money.

                    Also, disabling their customer contact number is really horrible. There is no way to contact them now.

                      I am one of your tenants with House Id - 43442, flat no - 201

                      This is regarding the charges on water tankers and electricity bill. I have already raised several tickets on these issues(SC_01649476, SC_01653849, SC_01653874, SC_[protected], but I didn't receive any clarification on these. All my tickets were closed without my consent. Finally we had to send people to your office. This ticket was raised at NESTAWAY office- ref:_00D6FDugR._5000K25JTCT:ref, where they claim to waive off the amount. but that amount has never been waived off for me instead they started charging a fine of Rs100 daily during this pandemic.

                      I have tried several times to contact nestaway customer care, called at nestaway office but there is no body to respond. There is no proper option to raise these kinds of issues in the Nestaway dashboard. I tried to contact through the feedback form but still there was no response.

                        I am a customer with NestAway. I had booked a house to be moved in on 3rd April but due to the lockdown i could not move in. So NestAway asked me to pay the deposit and everything and I payed over 70, 000 to them and they said that they will reschedule the movin. However Owing to the lockdown I still could not movein to which In my last discussion with their representatives they said that I should move out and only my Token Amount of 3800 would be deducted. However they sent me a refund of 5500 which is extremely unfair. And during this ordeal they have made me pay cor some small things. I have all the reciepts. Please initiate the strict action.

                          Hello,
                          I offboarded the flat (N55982) on 18 june 2020 and officially on 2nd July 2020, as the flat was getting delisted from Nestaway due to non payment of rent by Nestaway to the owner. Now its going to be almost 2 months since i vacated the flat but still i didnt receive my deposit amount . I have raised several tickets in the portal but there was no response at all, besides customer care shows closed.
                          A month before i got a call from Nestaway saying post inspection I will receive my money, but it has been a month there has been no inspection done, moreover I had a chat with the flat owner, he has already taken new tenants in the flat.
                          Please see to the issue as Im fed of trying to reach Nestaway, otherwise filing a complaint in Consumer Forum will only be the choice .

                            Hi Team,

                            Its been more than 1 and half month since i moved out from nestaway home Bulusu Pride Kondapur. When a person wants a home nestaway wants all the money onboarding appointement security deposit rent everything on time. BUT WHEN I PERSON MOVED THESE GUYS DONT GIVE A DAMN.

                            I am waiting for 40 thousand from nestaway which i gave as security deposit while becoming a tenant. I already paid maintenance charges while moving out including paint charge or any damage to the flat. But still i am not sure what the hold in this. After raising so many customer care tickets they gave me 6287.89 Rs. which is nowhere near to my refund amount. As per the policy i stayed minimum 6 months and gave 11k for painting and other maintenance charges. Just simply they took 34 thousand of my deposit.

                            I talked to owner regarding this he told he didnt get any payments since march 2020 so how he can pay my security amount to nestaway. This is not my issue right. Please contact Mr bulusu on [protected] this mobile number and take further actions.

                            This is very hard time for me as well in this pandemic situation. I am a student and i faced two deaths in my family within 3 months. I am the only one left who will be earning money. So please help me on this money crisis.

                              I have moved out of the Nestaway property (C-506 Balaji Pristine Whitfield Bangalore) on June 14th, 2020 and I still have not received the security deposit refund. I have tried reaching out to the area manager but there is no response from the other side to my texts or calls. Nobody has contacted to provide an update on the inspection as well!

                              Request an immediate action to be taken by Nestaway and help me get back my security deposit amount!!

                              There was no proper communication from the Area Manager regarding the refund and have not received FNF settlement E-mail to understand the reason behind deducting a certain amount in the refunded deposit. Glad that I have received some of the deposit back after much follow-up!!!

                                I have agreed 3 months contract with Nestway agent but now they are keeping my entire money. When trying to contact, agent is not picking phone neither nestway is replying.

                                  It has been 2 weeks since I vacated and moved out of the NestAway Property in Gurgaon. I haven’t been refunded my security deposit howsoever. The NestAway team has informed me that the delay is being caused by the owners of the property whereas on speaking to the owners I got to know that NestAway hasn’t been paying any money to the owners. All this harassment despite the difficult covid situation is really appalling.

                                    I have moved out of Nestaway on July 31, 2020. The house inspection is done as well. I was told I will receive my refund within 15 days, however, till date Nestaway has not refunded my security deposit. My dashboard is not accessible, and I am unable to raise a ticket on the Nestaway website as well. Their customer care centres are closed, so I'm not even able to check when I'll get my deposit back.

                                    In addition, Nestaway has arbitrarily deducted Rs. 9608 from my security deposit for "unpaid electricity bill fines" for the months of March - July, 2020. I have raised two tickets (with proof that I have paid all my electricity dues till the month of May, after which no electricity charges were shown on my dashboard) out of which one ticket was closed without resolution and the status of the second ticket (CC_[protected] is unknown because they have removed access to my dashboard and there is no information available on their website as well.

                                    I have faced extreme agony trying to deal with Nestaway, but I've not received any response from their end. If this continues and Nestaway does not refund my full security deposit (excluding any valid deductions), then I will have to take legal action against this company because they are extremely unresponsive to customer complaints

                                      I have paid all electricity bills till May 2020, and I have moved out of Nestaway on July 31, 2020. However, Nestaway has deducted Rs. 9608 as "electricity bill fines" from March - July. I have no pending dues with Nestaway and they're resorting to simply defrauding their tenants. I had raised a Customer Care ticket with proof that I have paid all my electricity bills till the month of May, but the ticket was closed without resolution (they simply said they're looking at it internally and they will get back to me, but they just simply closed the ticket).

                                      I have raised yet another ticket last night (CC_[protected] but now I don't know the status of the complaint because my dashboard is no longer accessible and I am unable to view anything on the Nestaway website as well. Multiple calls and emails have fallen on deaf ears.
