I booked Ola Prime cab on 6th of March 2020 late evening for Morning 6 AM from Malad to Pune same day return. On 7th morning i.e. today i got the cab details on my ola app, accordingly i contacted the driver. The cab was standing below Malad flyover. Due to some road construction was going on i asked driver to wait where he was parked the car (Below Malad flyover).
I reached to that place and called driver (Mr. Laksham Waghmode) where I saw driver was sleeping in car back side with half cloths (Looks like he slept there only whole night). When i approached i got up and tried to cover up things. Cab was dirty, smelling bad, full of mosquitoes. I was having schedule meeting in pune at 11 AM so considering the timing I did not cancelled the cab (New booking would have taken 1 hr extra).
We started the journey, at starting only he asked me that you know the way? there only I doubted about his understanding about Ola aap and its navigation system. On the way on Andheri Flyover during driving he changed the lane without giving signal (fortunately accident was not happened). During the journey i got completely understood that he has no knowledge of navigation system (every time when there was two ways he stopped the cab and asked me which way to go). In Panvel we picked my senior colleague and started for Pune.
When we entered in Pune at one point of time he was entering into no entry road (He drive the car from below the flyover - supposed to go from over the flyover as per navigation. I stopped him and guided him not to enter into no entry, immediately to the next signal he broke the signal guideline and traffic police stopped the car. Police office asked the papers of the car, checked the Car number the it was discovered that number of fine/ penalty was already been charged on that car. Accordingly, Police office informed us the status. On further inquiry of police office requesting driving license, further discovered that driver has not original driving license showed copy of laminated card. Further driver shown police a letter/ paper which the order of police which requested driver to present in court for some other wrong driving case. Driver was not paying penalty and i was loosing my time. Officer advise us to take another cab.
There is no option in Ola aap to cancel the ride, I navigate for emergency number which directed me to police helpline. I tried to call ola helpline number which I could not connect for long time. final after lot of argument with driver i gave drive otp to cancel the trip. on cancellation the total bill was Rs 4303.00. Initially i denied to pay the cash, after so much argument i left the place and took auto to reach my meeting place. I already lost the timing. Driver followed me till my meeting place, threaten me to give cash, i was in hurry to go for meeting as i already missed the timing this was happened around 11.30 am near OBC bank, Circle office, FC road PUNE. I withdraw the money from ATM and gave him cash in front of same ATM of OBC Bank.
This was very bad experience with Ola services with me having following reasons basis on which OLA should refund entire amount paid to this ride and give me formal apology for providing such worst service.
1. Driver driving the car without proper driving license (You can check with the police department)
2. Driver was not well trained he has zero understanding of Navigation system, Signals, Lane rules
3. He risked my life while driving at Andheri Flyover by cutting the late (accident could have happened)
4. Driver was very rude and dirty.
5. Car was very dirty, smelling bad and full of mosquitoes.
6. Number of penalties was charged to that cab already by police for breaking the rules of driving (you can check with police department).
7. I could not reach on time because of all the above reasons.
after submission of complain and lot of calls company did refund me 50% of the amount paid. however such bad services still continues and happened again for two time during late night travel in Mumbai where driver dropped me at mid way alone where no transportation available at that night. therefore i did not paid outstanding payment charged to me as it is not payable from me rather company should owe me apology and refund my entire payment paid for those rides and inconvenience cost and putting my life in danger and lot more.
this company harassing me by calling daily from 20 different numbers atleast 20 time a day threating me to pay outstanding. There is no response to my complain on email.
