HI Team,

I had taken one assist insurance for my laptop as a protection plan on 31-Oct-2016.Unfortunately my laptop got damaged due to accident in road on 05/11/2016.Once after this I immediately informed the oneassist about the recent incident happened.Then One assist asked me to give my laptop to authorized service center and send the estimate to one assist.I have shared the copy of estimate to the email id provided.Since they had promised me that they will be doing doorstep pick in case of any damage but that was not happened in my case and they asked me to do all manual process.Finally they send a mail to me conforming that one assist submitted your documents to insurance company on Jan 6, 2017 .

Till now I didnt get any proper refund /claim amount from one assist and they still expect me to wait 24hrs and 48 hrs each and every time I called customer care for the last one month.As they mentioned, insurance decision will take around 10 to 15 days but how many 10 to 15 days I have to wait more to get the case resolved.

Finally am hopeless and dont know what to do by hearing all the default message from oneassist customer care and mails .I ended up here.

Kindly try to resolve this case asap

HI Consumer of Oneassist,

After I put compliant against one assist here in consumercompliants.in. They had called me very next day after the compliant date and said your claim is rejected by the insurance company due to the description of the incident.
Still they are trying to kidding us.

I clearly mentioned that laptop felt down in road which is placed in a bike holder near leg(Honda Activa) and the car which came backside hit and crashed the laptop completely. Since the insurance also cover the accidental damage too but the oneassist purposefully doing all this cheating steps.

I need a claim amount else I will go further level .I have a voice conversation of all the discussion.

Hi people,

Please find the below mail from one assist for all your references.

This is how the one assist company cheating the customer by saying that the insurance company is rejected your claim for the reason wilful act or wilful neglect.

Just before few mins of this update, one assist logistics team called me and said just go the service center and collect your damaged item with a smile.

You can find the update above that one assist states that 'They will also arrange to deliver your unrepaired Laptop to you'.

Worst one assist.. cheating customers by saying customer to not to give claim amount. Beware dont take oneassit policy .

I had already provided alternate mobile number and everything when I joined the Oneassist plan.Dont cheat customers again and again saying silly things.Try to refund the One assist paid amount or Claim amount from insurance.

People for your king info.
I really fed up with this Oneassist plan and dont take the policy for all your info.

    This is regarding the claim 1762318, As screen of my phone got damaged, I reached out the one assist costumer Representative . It was informed to me to upload the document to one assist portal which I completed then the said to send a mail confirmation which I completed but they didn't received yet.
    And after that I got a claim and discharge voucher, The customer Representative said I need to submit both the form to the person who will come to collect you phone. As the work was not in progress it was I called to one assist then they informed need to sign and send over mail I did the same they are saying they dint got the signed form. Now please make me understand what else I need to do.

    Now they are saying due to improper documents the ticket is closed and can't provide the insurance claimed. What kind of service is this. And sure take a serious action on the services.
    I did as it was informed to me by one assist customer representative. Still they closed by ticket.

    I Bought a phone from Mi India website in may 2016 with protection plan for 300+ rs.

    as the damaged occured, I handed over the same to Oneassist with all documents required. They took quite long time to return the phone however, Once returned, found sim tray was missing. Its been a month, I have talked to them over phone, I am having all phone recordings. I have written many emails.

    I have sent one final email on 15th February 2017 as 7 days notice to respond back and take action. However No action from OneAssist.

    I have also copied IRDA compaint channel. Received a call from MI India representative but nothing after that.

    I have prepared papers for filing a case in Consumer court against MI India and OneAssist and also seeking information from Ombudsman if Oneassist is a legal company to sell insurance in india.

    Anyone out of you who can provide a piece of advice would be helpful or anyone else who want to come along while suffering the similar issue is most welcome. You may contact me on sonu.[protected]@gmail.com and we shall file several seperate cases against these neglecting companies.

    I will keep updated about the progress time to time here for anyone's help or advice.

      Worst ever experience with an insurance company. Service request ID - 1784660
      All the customer support executives just have this line to say, "You will have to wait 2-3 days" I have been hearing this the 10th time since 1st week of February. If you are not fit enough to run a company please do not play around peoples emotions and hard earned money !! "Cooling Period" was the reason for rejection and it is a month now and i have not got my phone back. Arun Kashyap was the last executive i spoke with and these executives are trained by this company to just hear abuses, get harrased and to keep apologizing to the customers.

      Also a Stupid mail id as happyassist, that does not make any one feel happy, no reply nothing

        Dear sir / madam,

        Please note that my concern is i have purchased mobile handset (Mobile phone redmi 3s 16gb gold mrp 6999+499 mi protact oneassist) from mi.com on 14th-sep-16 with mi protect insurance (One assist) and its was not working properly i complained mi.com team on 17th-sep-16 for replacement after that i got replacement on 6-oct-16 in while replacement conversation i copied all the email to oneassist for imei update bcoz fro insurance mi protect.

        I start using my handset was working properly since replacement on the date 16th-dec16 damaged while using due to fall down on same day i report to oneassist for insurance claim with incident and they pickedup my handset by saying that i will send for repair cost claim. During the period i asked status they relied your handset insurance claim rejected. He replied you unrepaired handset will return back to you in 5 working days but still not recieved.

        This is with reference to the claim filed with us vide service request number 1744894. I will be your claim relationship officer, dedicated to the service request.

        We would like to inform you that your case is now aligned for pick-up. To facilitate pick-up, we have sent you an email, separately. Please follow the simple steps in the email and help us pick your device on priority.
        After the pick-up is done, it take 2-3 week, in overall, for us to repair and deliver the device to you, with the all processes of estimate insurance approval repair delivery.

        Please note: repair process of your device may take 10-15 days as it is subject to spare part availability with the brand authorized service center.

        You are requested to keep checking your emails regularly for updates from us.

        For any assistance during the claim process, you are requested to write back me or speak to me at [protected] between 10am and 6pm, from monday to saturday and we will be happy to assist to you.

        Email after rejection:-
        Dear vikram bais

        With reference to your service request number 1744894, basis the documents submitted by you, the insurance company has denied the claim.

        The insurance company is constrained to deny the liability basis the following reason:
        "as per policy terms attached for your reference, change in imei needs to be intimated to the insurance company within 30 days of the change in imei.in subject case the unit has been changed on 06/10/2016 and intimation of change in imei has been done on 21/01/2017 through mail which is after date of loss (16/01/2017) this case cannot be considered."

        We regret that we are unable to entertain this claim and therefore, we are closing the claim as repudiated on the grounds clearly mentioned above. We look at this as an opportunity lost to serve you.

        We will soon deliver your unrepaired handset to you.

        I hope you are doing well.

        Please note I have given all the information on your website by login on 16th-jan17 with invoice, handset picture etc which was required for that process before pick-up.
        Its very unhappy response which i am getting from oneassist. are you saying unrepaired which will not be accepted.
        Hand set picked-up on 19th-jan-16 today is 22nd-feb-17 ( 33 days).First discussion had with Sneha on 18th-jan-17 she said After the pick-up is done, it take 2-3 week, in overall, for us to repair and deliver the device to you, with the all processes of estimate > insurance approval > repair > delivery. to complete process and delivery.if something was incorrect than no point to pickup the hand set.
        At least my and your time will not waste if you guys can tell its not in my record, so that i can go for another option to repair. Now my hand set id opened so i cant take back without repair.

        Requesting you to please advice or look another option to close this complaint.

        Please note that If you are not able to do this ( Repairing) than you can did not pick / return my hand set in next day 5 working day from submission.

        After one month i don't know the position of my handset after open may be part is not there, loose fit etc.

        My product is repaired at service centre but this company say that your product will handed over to you after one month. they are totally misguiding and misbehaving. this company is really harrasing me.

          Mobile went for repairing in last quarter and still i didn't received yet
          Hi Team,

          One Assist Team taken my mobile for repairing on 13th of January 2017. Also they didn't even provided the curtsy handset for me and in every call they are extending the due date to months and the team unable to give the guaranty of the delivery date. I request please check the Con's before joining one assist.

            I have given my "Redmi note 3" mobile for repare 20 days back...Few days back I received the email that my claim has been approved...And I was given the address and contact number of the service center where my mobile was...I have contacted the service center they are saying that my claim has been declined because there was no response from your end...they said that they are having the spare parts now and if they get approval from your end the repair will be completed in one hour...And I even contacted the xiaomi customer care they are claiming that they have not received payment yet...why are you taking soo time I didn't expected this service from your end even after approval of claim you are not responding to the service center... Kindly approve it with the mi service center...No one is responding from your end even the service center has spare parts available...You are not approving with them you are not responding to any queries

            I have submitted Redmi note 3 to one assist I have contacted the xiaomi customer care they said that the repair of the handset has been completed but you are not picking up from you end when ever I contacted you I am getting the response that the due date is 4th march...Why don't you pick up early and give if it is completed early...Even the service center and customer care confirmed that the repair is completed but are not bothering no one is responding correctly... Kindly contact the service center and return the mobile

              I purchased the oneassist mobile insurance along with my mobile. It covered damages and expenses for my samsung galaxy e5 mobile
              My phone fell of my hand and the screen got damaged, and on the same day i raised a claim request with one assist and submitted the phone in january 2016. They picked up the phone from my place and after a month asked me to pay rs. 305 as processing fees. Ever since i've been calling them for various reasons but i have not got my mobile back. When they take the claim, they take damaged mobile and never return it back.

              Still there is no update from last 20 days. You guys are working from last 1 year and could not give back my mobile.Pathetic service.

                I took insurance for my mi note 3 known as mi protect by oneassist consumer solutions. I registered my complaint on 14 nov 2016 and kept on calling them again and again since i wasnt getting any response i was just getting false promises that i will recieve a bag n some executive will come n collect it.. After so many calls n mails after 50 days i got a positive response n a guy came n collected my phone. N then many days passed i only called them n asked about the status they said my insurance has been rejected for a silly reason. That i wasnt holding the phone properly, but according to insurance they cover all the type of accidential damage including damage caused due to fell in toilet/bucket or from bike...in both the cases its customers negligience... But they didnt approve my case...
                I read about oneassist on various forums n sites everywer it was mentioned that its a fake company n they never give claims for anyone... If they give it then they will bill u more than the amount of your phone so they can extract money from you..
                Plz dont go for oneassist.. Its a fake company n u will never get any claims rather than burning your blood for follow up.

                  When ever you call them on their tollfree number it come busy or in case you get connected they will make you hold for 40 to 90 minutes . Even after holding for so long your query or problem are still the same . So my next step is iam moving forward to consumer court for a fraud they have done with me and the mental tourcher and trauma them have given me .

                    Today i received the mail that my handset has been received by me but till date i have not received my mobile handset. I called your customer care i got the doc. No. 1490441 of courier service relay express. On calling them it revile that the consignment was booked on 24th jan 2017 (Surprising, as email on 8th feb that repair due date is 8th feb 2017 and earlier it was 30th jan 2107). Courier facility informed me that the parcel was not deliver as there was not one to receive it and thus sent back. He asked to check the receiver sign. On pod which i could download from relay express site. Pod attached.

                    Pod states that it has been sign and stamped by company. Calling toll free no. Of oneassist confirms that handset has been submitted to customer which actually not received (What a hopeless service oneassist provide, it has no internal communication).

                    The address on downloaded pod shows -401, yagna puresh while it should be e-401, yagna puresh. (This is the prime reason of not get the consignment at right address as there are a-h building.

                    I request you to help me with the way forward as i have lost my patience and i don't know what to do?

                    I complained in irda but got mail that this is not an insurance company.
                    I want to go forward with this complain and poor service of company. Request you to assist me.

                      Don't buy One Assist smartphone insurance. This is a big FRAUD. Please read it once.
                      Trust me guies, Unfotunatly i am the unfortunate customer of this company.
                      My name is Vrajesh Raval. My memebership number is [protected]. I have bought MA Total Protection 35k-50k plan for my bran new LG G5 for Rs 2989.
                      After some weeks i accidentally broke the screen of my smartphone. Then i go for this insurance claim. My claim num. is SR#1712082. They have picked up my device for repair at 24th of December 2016 & till now my device still with them after one and half month.
                      At the time of buying insurance they claim that they will give you 100% cover for any Physical damage & all process for claiming & repairing timing will be 20 to 25 days after the device picked up.
                      Although after a 1 and Half month long process they had rejected my claim. without a reason. They estimated the cost of broken screen is 30000. Here comes the big bluff even I phone 's screen dose not cost you this much. Even after rejecting my claim they do not give my device back.
                      They have keep it for reconsideration. after 4 days they will give me answer. But i know, it will again take at least a month. After so much calling to customer care service & mailing them i do not get appropriate answer of time, VERT UNPROFESSIONAL. So they left me no choice but to go to a CONSUMER FORUM.
                      One more thing they offering courtesy handset to attracting buyers.
                      They say they will give an alternate handset to use for your damaged handset until repairing, it's a big MYTH. They do not give me yet.
                      I hope this review & experience will help.Please Don't buy.

                      As i wrote before they just proved themselves a big fraud. They just simply rejected my claim by EXCLUSION 10 - Loss or damage caused by wilful negligence (No proper care of handset has been taken by insured to safeguard the property).
                      I think this is like, u want to reject claim u can do it by showing any ridiculous rule. I mean any Accident happens because of not taking good care of.
                      At time of buying insurance your company says your company covers all accidental damages & now you just simply rejected my claim after tow months of long period. If my case was under exclusion 10 & was not able to clear the claim, you could made me informed at the time of claiming & save my time. But you just played me & you also fooled me with the lollipop of courtesy handset.
                      Now it is clearly appeared a big fraud. It is also appearing that the main cause of rejection is because of i stepped forward to concern the consumer forum. Now I want refund.
                      I got my smartphone back & went to LG care & they repaired it for free as it is in warranty.I strongly appreciate but you are ridiculous, . Also oneassist could done it if they took my device to genuine lg care but they go for other false service center and put my device's authenticity on danger. this is unprofessional. Please refund my money. You gave me device back with not working software faults, which were taken care ny Lg care.
                      I want every record, service center name, invoice number & my claim number to the insurance company.
                      I also know that company's reply will not be specific and It will be' We are very sorry to hear about your experience and regret the inconvenience caused to you.' that's it.

                        I bought a Redmi note 3 mobile from Mi.com website, & also took the insurance from there.

                        The insurance is covered with Accidental & Liquid damage.

                        Recently, i have been to GOA & this incident has happened:

                        I was on the beach at Goa, Clicking pics with the phone in my hand, a big tide came & i lost my balance the phone fell on the rocks from my hand its side panel was damaged & it drown in sea water. I collected it from the ground wiped it off with cotton towel & tried to start it but it does not switched on. I used dryer to dry the phone & then again tried to restart it but it didn't worked. Now the phone is not switching on

                        I have applied for the insurance claim, but now oneAssist is saying that your claim is rejected, since you went on to the beach with your phone. You are aware that you are going near the beach so the phone might get damaged. You didn't took proper care of the device so the insurance is rejected.

                        My question is when i am going anywhere we all carry our mobiles, i didn't went for the swimming i just took my device along with me when i was on the beach side.

                              In the month of Octoberer 2016 i have given my mobile to one assist as my set got dead being liquid damage. Still today is 08 Feb 2017 i didn't received my mobile. Many times i spoke to customer care people regarding feed back and sending mail for status of my mobile. I cont understand its like auto recorded call they always say with in 24hrs you will get the resolution.
                              And they says the liquid damage has done wantedly so it won't cover under inaurence. I frustated and finally said send back my un repaired handset. Still waiting

                              I Bought a phone from Mi India website in may 2016 with protection plan for 300+ rs.

                              as the damaged occured, I handed over the same to Oneassist with all documents required. They took quite long time to return the phone however, Once returned, found sim tray was missing. Its been a month, I have talked to them over phone, I am having all phone recordings. I have written many emails.

                              I have sent one final email on 15th February 2017 as 7 days notice to respond back and take action. However No action from OneAssist.

                              I have also copied IRDA compaint channel. Received a call from MI India representative but nothing after that.

                              I have prepared papers for filing a case in Consumer court against MI India and OneAssist and also seeking information from Ombudsman if Oneassist is a legal company to sell insurance in india.

                              Anyone out of you who can provide a piece of advice would be helpful or anyone else who want to come along while suffering the similar issue is most welcome. You may contact me on sonu.[protected]@gmail.com and we shall file several seperate cases against these neglecting companies.

                              I will keep updated about the progress time to time here for anyone's help or advice.

                                I didn't apply for this service but Without my authorization debited 1799 rupees from my credit card. I was try to reach coustmer care, but they ware unable hear me. I thought it's problem of my phone, again I tried with another phone, I had the same experience. So first check your phones and your staff also. Whatever I need my money back in my card... I am waiting for the reply...

                                    At the end of November 2016 i have given my mobile for service (Scree Display was damage). Still today is 08 Feb 2017 i didn't received my mobile. Many times i spoke to customer care people regarding feed back and sending mail for status of my mobile. Frankly speaking sorry to say they are acting like a deaf people in customer service no importance for customer complain. My mobile went for repairing twice in the authorize service center and they were keep telling me that it is in courier process and will get my mobile within 3-4 days.

                                    But after 6th day when is still didn't get my mobile is spoke to customer people and they keep saying it will take little time delivery process. I was continuously calling to customer people 2-3 days then i came to know that it went to authorize service center again and they still don't know the reason. What a pathetic service.

                                    Again they told me that from authorize center they will get mobile on 30th of January and now they are telling that it will get on 17th of February. A senior customer executive name Uzefa, When i spoke to him and told him about their disgusting commitments and services and regarding not getting any calls and mail or feedback then he promise me that within 2 days he will definitely find out the issue and will call back and guess what after 2 days no call...Seriously are they running some kind of business or running a Playschool. I think Playschool is much discipline and proper than this...

                                    I don't know what to say because i am totally frustrated and no hope from these people.Just hoping to get my mobile in proper condition.

                                      I am Barun Kanthal, I have a hdfc bank credit card. One year ago one assist call me and card protiction servicr active for one year. This time told me that after one year call me for this service continues or not. but without information me that service renual and rs 1799 debit from my card. i call three times to be deactive for this service and my balance refund. one assist told me this service deactive and rs 1799 balance refund my account within 48 hr, but one assist do not deactive service & cash back.

                                        1. I claimed, they approved my claim around 1 full month after so many calls in customer care.
