Purchased henley two door multipurpose cabinet in beech chocolate finish from pepperfry.
Pepperfry did not provide the assembly service within promised timeline of 48 hours, then finally when they arranged for assembly service after 7 days the unboxed product was confirmed damaged by their carpenter who refused to assemble. Upon contacting pepperfry first they said 5 day return window is past. Upon giving background that return window is past due to their mistake as carpenter came for assembly after 7 days and not 2 days after delivery and only then product was unboxed to be found damaged (Has moth infestation and holes). They acknowledged. Customer care asked for additional pictures to process return request but so far no action has been taken. All follow up calls/mails are not responded. I only get automated reply saying they will get back in 48 hours but they never do. I have a damaged product lying unassembled in my house since over 1.5 months with no response from pepperfry.
Sequence of events as below-
. Order placed on - june 11th with a promise of delivery by sat 22nd jun - wed 26th june
2. I get an update that order/my masterpiece will be delivered by the seller
3. 24th jun - product was updated to be delivered, while was not delivered. I call pepperfry, they mention they are doing the followup
4. 25th jun - product actually delivered while date incorrectly update on pepperfry records
5. No assembly service proovided as is pepperfry's promise to provide the same in 48 hours of delivery
6. After multiple follow ups i initiated a return request as no assembly was being provided
7.in response pepperfry calls/ apologizes and says if we provide assembly now would you keep the product, i say yes
8. 1st july - carpenter comes for assembly - exactly 7 days after the delivery as against a promise of 48 hours
9. Opens the packing - finds one of the product from this order that is henley two door multipurpose cabinet in beech chocolate finish, damaged, pictures attached and refuses to assemble
10. I call pepperfry again that product is damaged, one of the customer care person tells me you are past the window of return hence cant do anything
11. Upon explaining that delay is from pepperfry's end and i had already initiated a return request on this product person says "i will speak to the team and get back"
12. Somebody called sumit's gets back from the team, acknowledges the fault at pepperfry's end, says will process the return request however would need additional pictures
13. I attach additional pictures of damaged product, someone else replies on the mail - return window closed, cant do anything
14. I call pepperfry back, explain the situation, they apologies, acknowledge the mistake again, say they will get back in 24-48 hours - no reponse
