I bought a Skoda Laura from channel motors Haldwani (Uttarakhand) on 09.march 2010, registration no UK04H5850, chassis no. TMBCSA1Z8AA150444. Some noise from left excel was coming and i send my car to Jai Auto, Mathura road, Delhi on 09 September 2010 on jobcard no. 3431 as i was on a trip near Delhi. where Jai Auto says that your car got repaired outside authorise service station and have some local parts inside excel and hence your warranty is void. The part costs Rs.23000/-. But it is not true.
I also launched a complaint at Skoda customer care with complaint no. TR6766 but got not a single response till now.
Now either Channel Motors Haidwani have changed excel or many other unknown parts before delivering it or Jai Motors Delhi is saying this in interest of selling his parts but still my excel is not replaced and the car is located at Jai Auto Delhi's work shop.
Plz solve my problem as soon as possible.

    Skoda Superb - A disaster
    We bought the new Skoda superb 3.6 FSI from GiriRaj Motors, Gurgaon, the best vehicle, according to Skoda that they have ever made, in May this year. We were so excited to finally get our hand on the Skoda Superb, after waiting for so long. We had a lot of expectations as it had cost us heavily; we were all charged up and were in high spirits for this tryst with this dream machine. Initially for about three months it ran smooth, although with some minor hiccups, but one day in August the Skoda vehicle stopped in the middle of the road while crossing a small water logging on the busiest roads of Gurgaon, the road near the Golf Course. The car just stopped on the road where huge traffic was passing alongside. As the car was just three month old we did not wish to meddle with it and hence immediately informed the Skoda Authorized Service Station which brought a recovery vehicle and the vehicle was transported to the Skoda service center. We have got the suggestion from the service center now, that the engine of the Skoda vehicle has extensive damages and the same has to be replaced. The approximate expenditure would be approximately 11.5 Lacs. They say that the damage is due to water logging and hence cannot be covered under warranty. Imagine 11.5 Lacs in repair of a vehicle brought for 28Lacs within 3 Months, isn’t it ridiculous?
    We approached the authorities at Skoda, its regional Head after sales, to tell him the story and solicit some support, but in vein, as he refused saying that the same cannot be covered under warranty as the vehicle was plying in the water logged on the road. We have written back to him saying that this Skoda vehicle was purchased just 3 months back, was being driven by a driver who is driving the automatic vehicles since more than 5 Years, and the vehicle was not the only one going through the water on the road, there were several other vehicles waiting behind to cross and crossing along side. This only indicates that this vehicle “Superb” has some manufacturing defect otherwise why have the other vehicles not reported the same problem? But we are sure he will not revert. I must mention here that we have tried reaching the officials of Skoda but they have not paid heeds to our efforts. They have been indifferent to us, their latest customers, who have joined them just 3 months back.
    I would say that the vehicle Superb is not meant for Indian roads. Looking into Indian conditions in rainy season, and sometimes otherwise as well, you cannot avoid crossing over a bit of water logging, that’s normal in India. If the vehicle cannot withstand these conditions then why was it introduced on Indian roads?
    While the vehicle with its engine dismantled is lying at the Service Center, we would solicit your suggestions as to what should be done in this situation as also alarm the prospective buyers of Superb against such disaster and also the un-empathetic attitude of the Skoda authorities towards their customers.

      I purchased a Fabia Elegance Petrol in May 2009. Initially, the central locking wasn't functioning & it was rectified. I had to face goof-up in RC book(mentioning the date of registration as Mar 2009 instead of May 2009), goof-up in Insurance policy mentioning it as Elegance diesel instead of Petrol & wrong mention of Cubic capacity. Innumerable calls & finally I had to personally take up the matter with Insurance provider & get it rectified. Noise while braking/hissing sound/rear wheel getting jammed was noticed in Oct 2009 & the all four brakes were cleaned & given back. I did not have much problem after that. However, after I gave the car for 1st free servicing in May 2010(12 months or 10000km whichever is earlier), the car developed a series of problems- cranking/rattling sound when brake pedals were depressed, stiffening of brake pedals, brakes not engaging due to this while unparking, brake pedal depressing with unevenness, etc. What ensued was a tale o[censored]nending compalints, chain of emails, innum erable phone calls & lot of visits to the service centre. Careless attitude, highly unprofessional approach, concealing of information & misleading the customer by giving different versions each time on part of Tafe Access ltd, Hosur raod, Bangalore was not something I expected from a high repute SKODA company. The CRM went to the extent of telling he will send his technical person to guide me in how to use the brakes properly suggesting that the problem may be due to faulty driving. Finally, I was told that there MAY HAVE BEEN a problem with the bearing & they have replaced the same. They aren't even ready to admit it clearly. I am made to wonder why I had to shell out a bomb for a small car(7.6 lakhs) of low mileage, poor performance, poor pickup & pathetic customer service while I could have got much better cars for a lesser price. I had a Santro Xing earlier for 6 years & before that, a Maruti Omni for 7 years but I never faced any such problems either in the vehicle or in the service provided by the companies.
      Hope people go through this compalint before investing in a SKODA car. I did not do it & am facing the consequences.

        I bought a Skoda Superb about on 20th August (Friday) from a Skoda dealership in Gurgaon India- Giriraj motors and the front tyre had a massive leak within the first 40 kms of my ride home on day one. I had called the contact person at the dealership on the same day and lodged a complaint about this and was asked to get the tyre in for inspection on Monday which is what I did.

        After so many days of being unable to use my vehicle due to no spare being available, I finally had a closure from them today (11 days from date of the flat) that they would not be able to do anything as the tyre needs to be replaced and I have to do it on my own cost.


        My relationship with Skoda has gotten off to a poor start and left a very poor taste in my mouth. My first ride in the car with the family turned out to be a miserable expedition with me having to change the tyre in the rain, with the excitement giving way to disappointment.

        While its possible that the car tyre got burst on day one due to something on the road within the first 40 kms of its life, the probability of it being damaged during the time of the car’s transportation is much higher! I did not stop from the Dealership to my home - so not sure at what point the side walls of the tyre can get slashed with no damage to the car whatsoever!!

        I firmly believe that the car tyre’s wall got damaged during transportation of the car and got weakened. This weakened wall finally gave way on day after I drove the car 40 kms. Or else, Skoda believes in supplying such inferior quality tyres that cannot sustain even 40km of city driving. In addition to the fact, they choose to give a spare tyre which is not an Alloy wheel, that too for such an expensive car.


        Their behaviour and service befits a car that costs as much as a Nano!!

        For all potential Skoda customers out there...BEWARE...the dealerships that Skoda has appointed are only interested in selling the vehicle...after that they would rather not have anything to do with you!

          Dear Sir / Madam,

          This is for complaint against Heak Auto, Nasik about their poor service & tendency to full the customers.

          I have purchased the Fabio Car from the said showroom situated at Mumbai – Agra Road, Nasik as on 30th July 2010. My Car number is MH-15-CM-8422.

          Reason to lodge complaint are as follows :-

          1. Poor Headlight :- The headlights of the car are so dull that we can’t find the track while driving at night, they are like the headlights of a bike. I approached the showroom regarding the above issue & replaces the 90 watts bulbs from 60 watts by paying charges, but I am still not satisfied with it.

          2. Low Average :- As the concern showroom person said that company average of car is 18-20 kmph, it gives average of only 10-12 kmph on express highways. They also worked on the same, but average has not increased yet.

          3. Balancing :- Sometimes it becomes very hard to balance the car, it is always turning towards its left.


          As per your goodwill in the market your franchisee’s should not treat the customers this way, I hope you will take necessary action & will do the needful to cure my car’s problem too.

          heak auto nasik — bad service

          no proper service advisor no proper work done at the time of servicing and only one advisor available though running a skoda showroom that to an illetertate advisor.

            Even in the free service they charge 5000 to 8000 rupees. Good car with a company whose company aim is roberry. If you have a problem they will charge you 5000 and refuse to hand over your car unless you pay without even rectifying the problem.
            The mechanics are untrained and rude. In short the car is overpriced even in comparision to their own VW. My advice to all DO NOT BUY EUROPEAN CARS LIKE FIAT SKODA OR VOLKSWAGEN.

              I had puurchased fabia in the year 2008 my registration no in MH 02 BG 3071
              I m repeatedly being going to your dealer JMD (charcop mumbai)
              for the problem with my engine and the control unit

              these are the following times I have visited there

              date reason for visiting workshop
              25-Aug-09 routine service
              26-Aug-09 painting and accident pepairs
              30-Aug-09 painting and accident pepairs
              23-Oct-09 conrol unit problem where lubrication was done
              13-Nov-09 conrol unit problem where lubrication was done
              14-Dec-09 conrol unit problem and horn problem where horn was peplaced
              but due to unavailability of stock control unit was not replaced but said that it will be done after wards
              07-Jan-10 door control unit where front rhs was replaced
              30-Jan-10 window lifter problem and rubb mounting
              12-Mar-10 painting and accident pepairs
              18-Mar-10 endeine jerking problen there fuel pump was replaced
              04-May-10 summer check up and power window problem and engine vibration
              15-Jul-10 engine vibration and power window

              All these times whenever i had visited there my car has been there for 15 to twenty days.
              And at last when i had visited there on 15th july i got replaced my engine head and the left side control unit and in which i had to unnecessary bear for the engine oil cooloant and the other consumables .....
              After all these things when i took the car from the workshop after 3 days of it i had to again take it back for stearing problem since then my car is still lying there itself
              it now seems to me that since i had purchased the car most of the time my car is been in the workshop only there has been one or the other manufacturing defect in it and now my warranty has also finished but my problem is not yet solved.
              I request you to kindly look in this matter as fast as possible or else i need to lodge a complaint in the consumer forum my comlaint was previously given on your help line no [protected] but no one cares there

                new superbs horn is malfunctioning, dealer has a new explaination, that is it is controlled by intelligent system that prevents horns fm working due to battery malfunction.

                I appreciate intelligent cars and gadgets but that horn fails to work is a bit too much to be accepted.

                Another issue of concern is that the engine oil dipped to a dangerous level after 1 week of cars purchase, no explaination was provided and we got it topped up on our own.

                  i am rishi and i want to publish this grievance of mine through your good news paper, that the people in Lucknow and in the north region who have a passion for cars, should be careful while buying Skoda cars.
                  as i have Skoda Fabia, i purchased this car 1-1/2 ys back , just because this brand name i liked when i was in European country, thinking of the same standard should be maintained in India too.
                  At the time of buying this car the car dear Mr. Rajdeep Sing made so many promises regarding his services and quality of product. but this blind fold was opened up from my eyes when unfortunately i met and accident and my car went to workshop for repair.
                  now from here i started feeling like why did i purchase this car.
                  the damage was not much, only one car door was need to be replaced and one wheel cap and a fender to be renewed.
                  they took my car in their workshop on 3rd of july, and they gave me back on 26th of july and that to be without any shame for taking so long time in repairing the car,
                  while they keep making me promises that they will fix it with in 5-6 days , i think this is the normal working style of Skoda in india
                  and now when i got my car after the repair , the wheel alignment was totally out which is still not in order and i was been charged a huge amount for that.
                  the door which they replaced seems to be of so low quality that it looks like a tin sheet without any lagging inside the door.
                  when this matter was brought to the workshop, they didn't pay any attention and said will see some other time as the workshop is very busy,
                  i don't think that in this busy time it will be feasible for any one to take out time on daily basis and visit workshop , they don't even have pick and drop facility, so you have to survive many days with out car for a very small repair,
                  when ever you go for any small repair , there will be no spares available in the workshop.
                  and the dealer Mr Rajdeep sing says that it's difficult to keep so many spares as it involves a lot of money and that he doesn't want to engage.
                  so if this is attitude of the dear then it's better to look for any other brand than Skoda, as running the vehicle is more important compare to have a brand name .
                  i am going to file a case against Skoda and Mr Rajeedp, just to tech this lesson to him for cheating me and on behalf of all the customers who are owning skoda vehicle, should not face what i faced.

                  this story is when the car is still under warranty, what will happen when it will be out of warranty .....god knows

                  three to foru time my car went to your service center for first service, monsoon check up but my complains were not fullfill. One sound which is comming from bigning it is not cleared, every time different excuse, complian for slip of door lock two times now they are asking 12000/- to change the lock, complain for rear glass fog switch two time now they are asking to replace and cahrge me they are asking free replacement only in warranty period then what about i maid complain in warranty period. Your company is trying to cheat the costumers to ignore the complain in warranty period and after that you charge for the parts. Such a big name and cheap mantality. Now my car is in your company for desigle pipe leakage whithin 2 years ppipe is burst what quality i dont know. I have toyota Innova sincs last 4 years no such complain i dont know wheather it was a big mistake
                  I am Mr. M.Arif Motiwala it is well said by Mr. Rishi even i am thinking why i baught Skoda this is India and not Europe these branded companys are not in safe hands, Even my car is in workshop since yesterday to change desigle pipe now howmany days i dont know and even i dont know wheather i will get reply of this complaint or not if the Bosses have shame they will reply otherwise

                    SKODA - MORE OF A HEADACHE THAN A CAR... THE SERVICE IS AWFUL.. I AM FACING MAJOR FUEL TANK PROBLEMS WITH MY OCTAVIA SINCE I BOUGHT THE CAR IN 2008. TODAY I SENT MY CAR FOR SERVICING AND THE PERSON GAVE ME AN ESTIMATE OF 30K INR BUT THAT DIDN'T GUARANTEE THAT THE PROBLEM WOULD BE SOLVED. HE SAID THIS PROBLEM WILL ALWAYS BE THERE AND CANNOT BE RECTIFIED. SO I WONDER WHAT KIND OF AWFUL SERVICE DO THEY PROVIDE. ANYWAYS PLEASE DO NOT BUY SKODA IN YOUR LIFE EVER UNLESS UNTIL YOU REALLY BORED IN LIFE. THIS CAR WILL KEEP YOU BUSY WITH WEEKLY TRIPS TO THE WORKSHOP BUT THE PROBLEM WILL NEVER BE SOLVED. ANYWAYS..                       My vehicle was picked up from my house 25 days ago for insurance claim of the door and i was told that the vehicle will be delivered to me in 7 working days but it has not been delivered uptil today. At the time of sale these people treat us very kindly but once the car is sold they just ignore us and there is no responsible person in the workshop as well as in the showroom who could exactly tell me the status of the car .
                      It is my humble request please do something in this matter as i had faced lots of problems and also suggest me any solution how am i going to get my car as soon as possible.

                          We have one LAURA & one OCTAVIA.We are sending our vhicle for service/repairs to ur dealer M/S SAI AUTOMOBILES,PLOT NO.J-4,SECTOR-63 NOIDA-201301(U.P) since last long but regret to inform u that since last few turns we r not getting proper results,insted recently in both the vhicles some major problems have come up due to poor woking.Twice wiring got short during service & our BATTARY got dammaged.No one is listning & all the time we are paying for the fault o[censored]r technicians.Can prove if suitable inquiry is done.

                            My Fabia had hit dog en route to Bengaluru from Chennai and the front bumper
                            was damaged and the a/c unit too. We gave the car to TAFE Access Ltd for
                            repairing the car. Till this day and its been more than 4 weeks, my car still has
                            not been delivered. We are practically following up on all the working days and
                            they keep telling us some rubbish or the other and ask us to call the next day.....
                            It will be a wonder if Skoda survives in India in the long run with such appalling,
                            disgusting, ridiculous levels of service.
                            I WILL NEVER BUY A SKODA EVER AGAIN.

                            i totally agree with you as these TAFE always do likt this.. for me i have give my car for repair and they charge around 31thousand and in this 16000 for labour charge but when i see my car painting etc it still same and they never did any painting and denting...these TAFE is world basted people...will suggest never buy from TAFE...

                              As you seen above detail about my car Skoda Laura , we are facing the continue problems after the six month from the date of purchase due to all problems we were unable to drive the car that’s way its on 49000 Km only .

                              First AC was not worked then we meet you dealer regarding the same his executive said this is small problem of fan we repair it but you have to come next week . Like this they delay us day-by-day after three month they said there is compressor problem and get charged Rs.3000/- just for checking and said it is out of warranty you have to paid the other charges .AC problem was continue from the warranty period to till now but your dealer was always delay to prompt action or unsatisfied work .
                              You can check you service job card I was always mention Ac problem
                              Secondly there is horn problem

                              Third is Car Tyres problem and we have to replace the tyres form the market
                              Till today my car is stand on your service center for repairing but no result

                              You dealer work profile is very bad . I am going through lot of mantely harassment , and you waste my time as well as money . this is my first and last complaint to you .

                              Hope you will take action at the earliest against your dealer and make me satisfies Other ways I have to go through legal court

                                We had purchased a Skoda Fabia in July 2008 (the vehcile is still under warranty).The car is having air contioning problem and and problem with Window switches since we have purchased the car.
                                We have had it serivced from different dealers of Skoda from time to time but it seems that all of them are just trying to pass the buck and make sure that the warranty period lapses so they can claim for the repairs.

                                Our car has been with the Dearler Faranheit Automobiles for almost 21 days since may.The dealer claims to have changed the Air conditioning compressor and other parts (though we do not have any proof to substatiate this) but the problem has not been rectified.Evertime to car is sent to the delaer it is kept by them for 7-10 day claiming a company engineer would visit from Aurangabad to look into the problem and then returend to us saying differnet parts have been changed but the problem remains as it is.

                                I have written emails to Company Customer Care but there is nothing being done to rectify the problems.

                                This is the worst car and Customer care I have ever seen.I wish I had not bought this car.

                                  I do not whether you do the citizen complain.Its been one year I have made an complained at the the time of purchase of the car.I have to fight with them to get my defective car right.Now the car goes for the service and comes abck with same complaints after service.The workshop of the dealer is so cool to say it was attended and againd car goes bac and again a bill.This GURUIDEV motors had to be penalised.Please look at the blogs this company complaits are.Please do something.I hope it is not to deaf ears again.

                                    I have a scoda octavia which i had purchased in 2006. After 5 or 6 months of my purchase when i send my vehicle for its first service i came to knew about the mistake i had done in my life that i purchased a skoda vehicle.
                                    Whenever i send my car to krishna auto sales they never deliver it on time and they guys are least bothered about the time and requirement of the vehicle of the customer.
                                    whenever i send my car for its service it come back with a new problem.
                                    If we complain to the service manager he has no answer of the questions of mine. After one year i specially send my car to chandigarh for its service, but they peaple are father of ludhiana dealer. This product gives a new problem everyday.
                                    Sometimes its A/c stops working, sometimes its cluth plates stops working, sometimes its horn stops working. A new problem occurs daily.
                                    And the most important thing is company is least bothered about the problems and its valuable customers. I had never heared any good thing from any known of mine who is customer of skoda. Everybody has the same problem.
                                    If Anyone asks me for the purchase of skoda i'll never suggest him to buy this house of problems.

                                      My brother ,my father and myself had patronised the skoda car.We have all the variants except the fabia.Recently i purchased a laura.The starting of monsoon shows that the car which says obsessed with quality is truly not so.My new car which has hardly done 3,500 km needs a re doing of the engine.WHY? The car passed through knee deep water and some how they say the water has gone into the engine.I fail to understand how such an expensive car can stand the test of a luxury car.How this car can be called a reliable car.How one can think of getting out of the house without the scare that it might get spoilt in the rain.
                                      Over and above this the skoda dealer m/s futura automotive in wakad have the audacity to say that they will do up the car after 10 days as they dont have the mechanics and that the mechanics have gone for training.In any case why should a customer allow a brand new cars engine to be opened.What is the gaurantee that this will not happen again.If there are similar customers as me ,which i know there are as i was told by the mechanics there that there are atleast 8 more cars facing the same problem.I think if the company does not give me proper service,free replacement and surety that this will not happen again the i am definitely going to consumer court.
