Before 1 1/2 year, I purchased a Royal Sundaram Insurance Policy thru my Platinum Credit Card of Standard Chartered Bank where they offered me 24 Month EMI option(finance option). They had informed me over phone that I can surrender the policy at any time during this period and the refundable amount will be credited to my CC account as per policy terms. Now in September 2013, I called Standard Chartered Customer Care and asked to register my request for surrender of Royal Sundaram Policy. Accordingly M/s Royal Sundaram closed my policy by end of Sept and i had received credit of Rs. 3, 436.00 during end of Sept-13. It means the policy was closed. But still M/s Standard Chartered Bank is debiting me EMI amount + interest + overdue charges and as on date that amount is Rs. 3, 206.57 And now they are pressurizing me for payment of Rs. 3, 206.57 immediately. In addition to this, they have charged me Rs. 5, 653.93 which was debited to my Credit Card account on 29.11.2013 whereas my card due date is 22nd or 23rd of every month. But they are saying that this is also overdue. And now they are pressurizing me to pay Rs. 5, 653.93 immediately. I registered complaint against both the issues when i came to know thru sms that my due date is crossed & i need to pay the overdue amount immediately. They should waive both the debited amounts (which i already paid) of Rs.5, 654.90 + Rs. 3, 206.57 by deducting refund against Policy surrender value (Rs. 3, 436.00). Also they should not charge me any further overdue charges for these issues.

SC Bank has repeatedly kept on charging late fee charges on my credit card. In Nov 2013, I called customer care to ask for the minimum amount payable by me. I was informed that if I pay 2500 INR by 23 Nov 2013, I will not be charged for any late fee. Now, to be on the safer side, I deposited 4000 INR ( online) on 20 Nov itself just to ensure that the amount gets credited within the timeframe. Then, to my surprise, when the statement is generated on 04 Dec 2013, SC Bank has charged 500 INR as late fee. There have been numerous email communications with the Bank authorities, Nodal Officers, Principal Nodal Officers. But the bank repeatedly writes the same pre- framed sentences just with a different set of words each time. Again, to avoid further late charges, I have paid 5000 INR today on 23 Dec 2013, But I will not keep silent on this. will take this issue to the highest level possible. Request consumer court to please help in this regards. Dharmesh Verma [protected] [protected]@yahoo.co.in

Dear Sir, This concern/complilant is related my StandardChartered Bank CreditCard statements 15th NOV-2013 & 15th DEC-2013. As per 15th Nov'2013 statement, I need to pay the outstanding of INR. 11, 839.11 by 2nd of Dec 2013 which I paid on the same day through Standard Chartered Bank Online Payment site. I used my ICICI Bank for this payment. The amount got debited from my ICICI bank after this payment process. Now, I received the latest CreditCard statement dated 15th Dec 2013 where it has been mentioned around INR 700 for late payment, INR. 309.52 for Interest and INR. 127.88Service Tax & Cess 12.36%. In total INR.1137.40 has been charged extra. Simultaneously, they are showing the payment made date was 2nd Dec 2013 against above said outstanding (INR.11839.11) as 'Online Payment' - INR. 11, 840.00. Then, I talked to Standard Chartered Bank Customer Care and tried to know the reasons behind these extra charges. They were telling about the online payment that I made on 2nd Dec 2013 was received on 5th Dec into their accounts hence; they levied these extra charges. Hereby, my concern was when I made the online transfer to the CreditCard (i.e. also through their payment gateway through their online site), the respective amount got debited from my ICICI bank account. In otherwords, the amount got transferred from my account. As per the guidelines stated on their statement, I need to clear my outstanding amount by 2nd Dec 2013 that was what I cleared on same day. Now, my concern was, why should I pay all these extra charges when there is a delay in their payment gateway. Is it something customer has to take care of their payment gateway delays? Should customer bound to bear the extra costs which were incurred due to the delays from bank end? Is RBI set this kind of guidelines against the customer? The respective Call Log details were captured with Ref No.[protected] with Standard Chartered Bank Customer Care. Please clarify my concern if something really odd from myend OR do the needful ASAP. Thanks in advance. Regards, Krupa

Please read my complaint carefully as my problem is when you go to credit card and register for verified by visa transaction it will redirect to a login page however if you click on forgot password then it asks for 4 detail,
          (https://cardsecurity.standardchartered.com/vpas/scb/enroll/index.jsp?locale=en_...
          1 card number
          2 expiry date
          3 birth date
          4 cvv number,
After filling this information it redirects to a new page where you can change your password, my issue is that there is no security added as this 4 details can be have by anyone, its not even asking for credit card pin / otp .
Please reply accordingly as i know how to register my card and how to do transactions, If you can't provide an additional security on that then you are allowed to close my card relationship.

Dear Sir, I am to inform that I had taken a Standard Chartered Credit Card having no. [protected] in 2004 with limit of Rs. 24, 488, which was written off on 2009. However, the CIBIL report is showing overdue as Rs. 10, 979, whereas the written off status is shown as 'written off'. I had made full and final settlement with the bank whereby they had issued a No Dues Certificate also to me, but, the same is shown as overdue in account. This causing my CIBIL score to be effected and low. Kindly please instruct the bank to remove the amount from 'overdue' and show as nil as shown by other Banks. regards, Saikat Bardhan

Close to 2 years back, I received a call from Standard Chartered agent asking to go for SC Credit Card. They promised me one of the cards and explained the features followed by picking up my documents. When I received the card it was a different card and no features were there as explained to me when they called. I immediately reached out to them at customer care and gave piece of my mind and asked them to terminate the card immediately and I destroyed the card at my end. Now after one and a half year I receive a statement asking for renewal fees and they have started applying charges (interest charges) on renewal fee when I never actually had that card or used it and even they said they have cancelled it. I daily receive a message your card payment overdue on card ending 3394 when I don't even have the card. I would like to sue Standard Chartered Bank for Fraud case to clients and trying to seek money at expense of spoiling my credit rating. Sachin Gulati Mob# [protected]

Hi, I have a big issue with billing of Standard Chartered Bank Credit Card. I got new Standard Chartered Bank in April 12. I used the card for 11 months without any issue by making the payment on or before time but unfortunately due to some internet connectivity reasons on 12 month I made payment only next day from due date which is again not an big issue. I called up customer care and they also reversed my late fee by seeing my good past payment record but they did not reversed the interest. However, I paid the total amount again and canceled my card. Even after the cancellation of Credit Card, the bill used to come with interest by Standard Chartered Bank which was naturally unacceptable. I dropped the request mails also but they were of no use for the bank. The bank is still continuing sending me the statement with Late Fee and Interest and they have reached the outstanding amount to 3, 318.46 this month which I am unable to pay without using the card. These banks are really fraud and I recommend the people not use the credit cards and if required use them very carefully as they just seek the opportunity to make a good money from consumers. It would be great if anybody can help me resolving this big issue. You can contact me at [protected] or [protected] for any query. Thanks & Regards, Vikas Tyagi

I was holding a Standard chartered Manhattan credit card ending 8235. The above referred card cancelled around a year back and all outstanding amounts paid by then. After one year, this December 2013, I have received a communication from bank that I have exceeded the card’s credit limit and charged for INR 561.80 00 as an overlimit fee & service charge. I had sent many mails to the bank’s email id i.e customer.[protected]@scb.in and clarified that the referred card had cancelled and there is no such card exists. But each time; the bank sent a mail which is not relevant to the raised query and it simply stated that “the total outstanding in your card ending 8235 is Rs.561.80”. Please resolve this issue. Regards Iyanar

I have received a call from Standard Chartered Bank Bombay Headoffice day before yesterday at evening(04/12/2013) and yesterday at morning(05/12/2013). Yesterday a person Named Mohan Kumar from Bombay Head office calling from phone no [protected] was asking me to provide my active HDFC banks Credit card most secret CVV number to reverse back that undue payment ( Rs. 20576.82) i.e. to make it Zero. I don't understand what is going on. No body can ask that most secret number over telephone like that. It is like a criminal case.

SCB create a wrong bill against my credit card and also not send the statement of that. When I asked customer care they send the duplicate bill and also the statement with late fee charges. Several time (almost 35 mails & 10 calls) I communicated for the same but no satisfactory result I am getting. The pathetic service I am getting from them and my life has been horrible for this, every month they send statement with increased amount. The funny things are they told me, they called my mobile but I always say please call me later or not picked up the phone. Its extreme thing of The customer executive behavior also pathetic they don't have the manners / ethic. Now they are saying if I will not pay the money they will take the legal action and also black milling I WOULD REQUEST ALL OF YOU DON'T GO FOR SCB CARD, IF YOU WANT PEACEFUL LIFE AND IF ANYONE HAVING PLEASE DISCONTINUE (You don't know when they will start blood sucking) If any SCB employee read this, please cascade this information to higher authority or else please share the email address for your boss or super boss, I need to send mail to them

                                      Respected All,
Yesterday dated 29th nov. 2013 bank's executive or officer had try to convinced me with wrong detail and they blame on me that I had to pay 2050 more with 6315 which is the amount bank did not demanded to me and not clarify me that the interest calculated is wright they said me that additional amount add to interest of calculated till the date of payment of my credit card, but it is simple interest free period than how could they do like that.
They calculated interest amount is unrealistic and by wrong way of interest calculation unfair banking rules.

He reverted on my query & told me to pay my actual spends, which I paid immediately after call. Now problem starts in this time spam.Bank levied me with LPC, Interest charges. Now my request is that when I already inform bank that u have cheated me, I don''t want to contine with u I'll only pay my actual outstanding rest u reverse and they accepted also that we'll reverse Now everyday they are calling me and harrasing me that I have a outstanding which includes LPC, Interest charges etc.Kindly help me out to settle the same I don't have any outstanding on my side also I'm not going to pay anything. So please contact and inform Bank not harrse me.
