Hi,
I am Dr. Ashwani Kumar Verma, customer of Tata Play for last so many years.
This is a complaint against the Tata Play service person (mobile no. [protected]) who visited my residence on 19th April 2022 to resolve the problem with TataPlay.
This person, after checking up the set-up box, concluded that my Tata Play set-up, box and its charger, has burnt-out and cannot be repaired. He asked me to get this service ID canceled and asked me the "cancelation code" which I provided to him.
He then said that my current set-up box is for recording programs and replacing it with the same type will be a problem due to its unavailability.
He suggested to get a "new Tata Play connection" through him.
He lastly asked me that the payment for the new connection MUST BE PAID TO THE DEALER AND NOT TO TATA PLAY.
This raised doubt and I called up on the Tata Play helpline number and requested NOT TO CANCEL MY SERVICE ID and send a new service person. The new person check and resolved the problem by changing the adaptor/charger.
It seems that Tata Play's service person INTENTIONALLY PROVIDED ME WRONG INFORMATION AND WANTED TO CHEAT.
I request ALL THE TATA PLAY customer to be careful. I also request Tata Play management to look into my complaint and to please take appropriate action against this person so that in future no one spoils Tata Play's reputation.
