Complaint marked as Resolved Received a call from Tata Sky on 19th May 2017 that Technician will come today and solve the issue.Waited for him till 1200 hrs. Then called back the number from which I received the call in the morning, I was assured that the Technician will come today.I then requested them to give me the number of the technician visiting my place so that I can be at my home at the time he visits my place.
Then I called up the technician and he informed me that he will come between 3 to 4 PM.
I waited for technician at my home and called him at 1516 Hrs asking asking him when he will visit my place.He updated me that he will reach in another 30 min.
But no one visited the place and I called him again at 1612 Hrs to which he did not respond.
Then again I called him up at 1631 Hrs and asked him when he will come, but he started asking me questions
1.What is the problem with Tata Sky installed at my place.?
2.Who installed Tata Sky at your place ?
I asked him straight that you were going to visit my place between 3 to 4 Pm and also when I called at 1516 Hrs you told me that you would visit my place after 30 min. Then I asked him to give me reason why he is not able to come. He responded and told me that his bike tyre has punctured and he is getting it fixed. I was able to listen to other person talking to each other from his side and when I told him the same he hung up the phone.
I then called the landline number from which I received the first call and the company official assured me that technician will visit by 05 30 PM.
The technician visited my place and showed the system is working to my wife who was at home during that time.
But when I came back home at night I found system not working .I called the technician and asked him to come and visit the place again tomorrow at a suitable time when I am at home.He asked me to talk to company official for arranging the visit.I tried calling him but his number was busy so I messaged the Tata Sky official about the problem still not rectified.
On 20th May 2017, I called Tata Sky senior official and he assured me that problem will be solved and that technician will visit my home.
Technician visited my home and found the setup box not working.Finally the setup box was replaced and now the system is working.
It took 4 days to resolve the issue and even during these 4 days the balance was deducted even though services could not be used.
After complaining about the matter to Consumer Complaints and continuous follow up with company officials the issue was resolved.
