On 6th May I requested tata sky to discontinue some never viewed channels as well as remove /discontinue second tv set/set top box from operation, as my family became very small with myself and my wife at home as my children shifted abroad.At about 7.30 evening yesterday, I got a phone call from tata sky for probable reasons and are there any complaints for which I said a brand Of Tata there can not be any complaints.I was told that things will done from their office directly and tv will be off for 15-20 mins.After about 20 mins, tv in a very dim light flashed a msg 'as channel 1208 on which it was on requires additional Rs 7 Per month asking my sms permission.It was abundantly made clear whatever channels existing are not to be disturbed and payments made accordingly.But to our surprise many channels like regional Marathi kannada and English news channels were missing. Sms was given to start 1208 which was put on immediately. Unfortunately already dim Tv went off and only audio was available..All my efforts to establish contacts were in vain listening only to the taped masges..From my mobile their toll free numbers are not available and I always get msges 'pl check the numbers..And wasted several Rs for land landlines and taped msges. Today morning I sent a mail about the happenings.Their representative called me and on expected lines replied 'apka tv me kharabi hoga'.But kind enough to depute a technician.
with lots pre condition you have to pay this and that so on and so fore.Just about an hour back their technician came and to our surprise declared tv as default..I told him to check this set top box with other tv of bed room, this tv for last one week was not functioning as its set top box was directive. And during his last visit we did not insist on its repairs as it would have costed Rs 300 and any how i wanted to discontinue. Today when he checked the set top box with this tv and to his utter surprise this tv was also damaged. Oh.what a shear coincidence .!! My strong feeling since both are getting signals from same dish above..During their adjustments yesterday these might have been damaged come whatever they say. this can not be a co incidence..Any how I will get these sets repaired ..Can tata sky throw some light on this as it is in public domain.Mean while what will happen to my balance Rs 291..These are some questions that tata sky has to answer..With TATA brand, it is still not my intention to discontinue services.But they have to provide their views..Mean while i am writing this, I am continuously getting miscalls on my cell numbers from[protected] at 16.14, 17.52, 18.09, 18.24..Only once contact established, when i was trying to say, line was disconnected.!!! was it being recorded..whey 4 times he tried to call me without answering when i say hello . i do not know what are these..Let tata sky provide their views..and train their subordinates..Do the business honestly as the country is learning what is honestly..That is it..
